Jeremy Kyle offers Mike Thalassitis chance to take lie detector test

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Kyle has reportedly offered Mike Thalassitis a large sum to take a lie detector test.
The dark-haired hunk is rumoured to have enjoyed a night of passion with fellow contestant after they were booted off ‘Love Island’, and the British talk show host has invited Mike to appear on ‘The Jeremy Kyle Show’ to find out whether he truly did get intimate with Jess Shears before she returned to the Spanish villa to rekindle her romance with Dom Lever.
However, it is rumoured the muscular hunk has rejected Jeremy’s offer and has opted out of taking the test on the popular weekday programme because he’s got “bigger” projects lined up.
A source close to Mike told The Sun Online: “He’s never going to do it. It’s too low rent for Mike.
“He’s got bigger stuff going on.”
The 24-year-old reality star has continued to deny claims he enjoyed a steamy sex session in a hotel room with the 23-year-old after they flew home from Mallorca, and he thinks Jess’ beau is “lucky” he didn’t try to have his wicked ways with his girlfriend.
Speaking previously, Mike said: “[Dom is] lucky that I didn’t try to stick it on her.”
And Mike has previously suggested that the only reason things didn’t progress between himself and the busty brunette, was because he didn’t actively pursue her.
Speaking previously about whether he could win the heart of Jess, he said: “With the whole Jess thing – yeah who knows what would have happened. Dom came out.
“If things worked out differently – yeah they would have worked out differently. Yeah, nothing happened.
“I back myself. I don’t know, I’m not Jess.”

Hannah Agboola and Kieran Lee evicted from Big Brother

OHMYGOSSIP — Hannah Agboola and Kieran Lee have missed out on a place in the ‘Big Brother’ final.
The two housemates were given the boot just one day before the end of the series in a brutal backdoor eviction, leaving Hannah’s sister Deborah Agboola, Raph Korine, Isabelle Warburton, Tom Barber to battle it out for the crown.
The housemates had been shown a video clip of their ‘Big Brother’ lives before being told to stand by a white door, where their fates were revealed.
Hannah and Deborah had thanked one another for being their “rock” and praised each other as “beautiful”, before the beauty queen was told her fate.
She said: “Thank you Big Brother, this has been the best experience.”
“I love you so much. Deborah, we came to the end together, trust me… Promise to be strong, you know what to do.”
As the other housemates watched on, they shouted messages of support to Hannah, who replied that she loved them.
Isabelle and Raph were the first to be saved, and Kieran was then booted out with Tom, who stood beside him, sent off to Heaven.
However, Kieran took the news well, telling the rest of the group to “look after” Tom and enjoy the experience.
And he told Tom: “Enjoy yourself. It’s been 50 days, it’s good for me. Enjoy yourself kid, smash it. I can go home.”
Andrew Cruickshanks also remains in the house, but as the Second Chance Housemate he is ineligible to win.
Isabelle had been the first to be told she was safe and was elated to be in the final.
She said in the Diary Room: “Aaah, I can’t believe it, it’s literally unreal. You’ve been constantly waiting to be evicted or waiting for something shit to happen, but to have it confirmed you’re a finalist, it’s literally unreal. I’m buzzing.”
The show concludes on Friday (28.07.17).

John Powell to score Han Solo movie

OHMYGOSSIP — John Powell is set to score the untitled Han Solo movie.
Lucasfilm revealed on Wednesday (26.07.17) the Oscar-nominated composer will be taking on the duty of creating the score for the ‘Star Wars’ spin-off film.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Powell, who has composed many animated movies including ‘Shrek’ and ‘How to Train Your Dragon’, is the third composer to score a live-action ‘Star Wars’ movie and follows in the footsteps of franchise legend John Williams and Michael Giacchino, who scored ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’.
Warwick Davis was announced to be joining the cast but it is not known what role he will play in the movie.
The 47-year-old actor previously appeared in other ‘Star Wars’ films including 1983’s ‘Return of the Jedi’, 1999’s ‘Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace’ and 2015’s ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’.
He will also appear in ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’, which is slated for release in December 2017.
Much is being kept secret about the upcoming Han Solo movie, but it has been confirmed that Alden Ehrenreich will take on the titular role of a young Han Solo, following in the footsteps of Harrison Ford.
Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover and Woody Harrelson will also star in the film alongside Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Thandie Newton, whilst Joonas Suotamo will play Chewbacca.
Ron Howard announced in June that he was helming the movie after Phil Lord and Christopher Miller stepped down due to “creative differences”.
The 63-year-old actor-turned-director previously starred in ‘Star Wars’ creator George Lucas’ 1973 film ‘American Graffiti’ and directed ‘Willow’ for him in 1988, which also starred Davis.
Howard also previously revealed he had been approached to direct 1999 ‘Star Wars’ prequel ‘The Phantom Menace’.
The ‘Han Solo’ movie is slated for release on May 25 next year.

Taika Waititi: Thor: Ragnarok isn’t very long

OHMYGOSSIP — Taika Waititi has revealed ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ won’t be a “very long” film.
The third ‘Thor’ movie currently has a running time of 100 minutes, making it the shortest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the filmmaker said people will still feel “exhausted” by the end of the motion picture.
Speaking to Collider at San Diego Comic Con, he said: “It’s not gonna be a very, very long film.
“I think stories are better when you leave them wanting more, and this film moves at a clip, it’s got stuff happening all the time.
“I think people are still gonna feel exhausted by the end, they’ve been on this big journey and stuff, so I don’t think we need the film to be three hours.”
The third standalone movie follows the Asgardian God (Chris Hemsworth) who joins forces once again with Bruce Banner, aka The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) to stop the evil Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying Asgard and the rest of the universe.
Blanchett, 48, recently said she was amazed she has been given the chance to portray the studio’s first female villain in ‘Thor: Ragnarok’.
She said: “I didn’t realise I was inhabiting the first female Marvel villain onscreen. I thought, ‘Surely not … well, no actually that’s true.’
“There’s been many, many, many [female villains] in the comic books, but they’ve been a little tardy in bringing them to the screen, so hopefully there will be a lot more villainesses.”
The film will explain why Thor and The Hulk were absent from the 2016 semi-Avengers movie ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and will tie in to the upcoming ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ – which is looking to be the longest MCU movie.
‘Thor: Ragnarok’ is slated to be released this October.

Alan Menken hints Hunchback of Notre Dame remake

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Menken has hinted ‘The Hunchback Of Notre Dame’ could be made into a live-action remake.
The iconic composer – who is known for his musical scores for hit Disney animated movies including ‘Aladdin’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’ – has kept tight-lipped about which classic tale the studio is set to reboot, but he wants to see the French story remade.
Speaking to NME, Menken, who also composed the original animation, said: “I can’t say anything yet but I think ‘Hunchback’ would make an amazing live-action musical.”
Based on the novel by Victor Hugo, the story follows deformed Quasimodo, who lives in the bell tower of the Parisian cathedral, and wishes to go down to live with the rest of society.
However, his guardian, the evil Judge Claude Frollo wants to keep him locked away and rid the world of hellish beings.
When Quasimodo meets the beautiful Esmeralda, he is persuaded to help her and the rest of the gypsies from their fate at the hands of Frollo.
This project would join Disney’s ever growing franchise of live-action reboots which has seen ‘Maleficent’, ‘Cinderella’, ‘The Jungle Book’ and most recently, the box office smash ‘Beauty and the Beast’.
Among the other remakes being lined up are ‘The Lion King’, ‘Mulan’, ‘Dumbo’ and ‘The Little Mermaid’.
Director Tim Burton recently revealed Colin Farrell, Danny DeVito, Eva Green and Michael Keaton will all appear in his reimagining of the flying elephant ‘Dumbo’.
The movie – which will also include animated elements – will all be filmed in England and is currently scheduled for release in the US on March 29, 2019.
‘Dumbo’ is one of the classic Disney films, which tells the story of a ostracised baby elephant who strives to prove his worth after he is mocked for having big ears.
For the live-action adaptation, Ehren Kruger has written the script and is also producing alongside ‘Tron: Legacy’s’ Justin Springer.

Hailee Steinfeld confirmed for Bumblebee

OHMYGOSSIP — Lorenzo di Bonaventura has confirmed Hailee Steinfeld will be the lead character in the ‘Transformers’ spin-off movie ‘Bumblebee’.
While Michael Bay, the director of the five ‘Transformers’ movies, is stepping away from the franchise, studio Paramount and toy company Hasbro – who own the rights to the brand – are working on a spin-off based on the fan favourite Autobot Bumblebee, and di Bonaventura revealed the 20-year-old star will play a big part in the motion picture.
Speaking to Den of Geek, the producer said: “We are starting to shoot a week from today. We had decided to do this well before ‘The Last Knight’ had come out.
“Our feeling was that we wanted to give the audience a different experience. Bumblebee’s designed to be a more intimate movie.
“What we’re trying to do is deliver, a love story may be too strong of a term, but it is a coming of age for Bumblebee and our lead character, Hailee Steinfeld.”
Bumblebee made his film debut in the 2007 ‘Transformers’ movie as a lovable yellow Autobot who protected Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) from the Decepticons, and instantly became a fan favourite.
The motion picture will be written by Christina Hodson and directed by ‘Kubo and the Two Strings’ filmmaker Travis Knight, which will be his live-action debut.
The producer worked alongside Bay on all five of the previous movies and despite the latest ‘The Last Knight’ being Bay’s last film it didn’t do overly well at the box office.
But di Bonaventura claims there could be another flick.
He added: “Yeah, I think so. I do. Look, it was a great run. I think going forward, we learned some lessons and I think we need to change it up.
“I think Michael would be the first one to say that. It’s one of the reasons why we were trying to bring in the Arthurian myth, in fact, in ‘The Last Knight’, to create that different sense of what that movie’s about.
“I think we were successful in that, but obviously not in the box office.”

Denis Villeneuve linked to James Bond movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Denis Villeneuve, Yann Demange and David Mackenzie are all in the running to direct the next James Bond movie.
It was revealed on Monday (24.07.17) that the 25th Bond movie will be released in November 2019 and while details are being kept tightly under wraps, the trio of filmmakers are thought to be the frontrunners to helm the new movie.
According to Deadline, Villeneuve, Demange and Mackenzie have held meetings with the production company about the job.
‘Dunkirk’ director Christopher Nolan and ‘Baby Driver’ filmmaker Edgar Wright are also thought to be in the running to direct the currently untitled 25th movie in the Bond franchise.
Sam Mendes, who directed ‘Skyfall’ and ‘Spectre’, stepped away from the franchise meaning Eon Productions are looking for a new man to take his place.
Villeneuve already has a back catalogue of successful movies with a Best Picture nomination for ‘Arrival’, and he is currently working on ‘Blade Runner 2049′ ahead of its October 2017 release.
Demange directed ’71’, starring Jack O’Connell as a British soldier, and is also helming Matthew McConaughey in the upcoming ‘White Boy Rick’.
The Best Picture nominated movie ‘Hell or High Water’ was helmed by Mackenzie, who has also signed on to direct ‘Outlaw King’, a story about Scottish king Robert the Bruce.
Daniel Craig is expected to reprise his role as James Bond one more time after playing the secret agent in four movies.
The 49-year-old actor – who has portrayed the spy in the franchise since 2005 – caused a stir last year when he said he’d rather “slash his wrists” than take on the suave fictional character again, but it looks like he may have had a change of heart.
However, if the hunk does decide to walk away from the film series, there will be plenty of people willing to take his place.
Several stars, including Tom Hiddleston, Aidan Turner, Tom Hardy, Damian Lewis and Idris Elba, have been linked to the role.

Tom Hardy to star in Bosnian war movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Hardy will star in Bosnian war movie ‘My War Gone By, I Miss It So’.
The ‘Dunkirk’ actor has also signed up to produce the drama, which will be based on the 1999 book by English war correspondent Anthony Lloyd and directed by Gavin O’Connor.
The movie will detail Lloyd’s time in Bosnia during the war and his struggle with heroin addiction.
Tom told Variety: “‘My War Gone By, I Miss It So’ is Lloyd’s personal account of the Bosnian War, and alternates between his experiences in Bosnia and personal reflections of his time in the British army, his parents’ divorce, his estrangement from his father, and his heroin addiction.
“‘My War Gone By’ is a brutal yet sensitive story which addresses both the nature of addiction and the experience of war. I was struck by Anthony’s work and words, experiences, and for me his is an important voice and an important book.”
Gavin added: “Anthony’s memoir was love at first page – a portrait of war like I’d never read before. up-close-and-personal account of a heroin junkie reporting from the front lines of Bosnia – the bloodiest conflict Europe has witnessed since the Second World War – who uses the high of war to kick his drug habit. It’s a book written with both fists. It’s Anthony’s ‘Apocalypse Now.’ I feel privileged and honored for the opportunity to bring the book to the movies.”
Scott LaStaiti – who will also serve as a producer – added: “Anthony’s book is haunting and heartfelt, and shows humanity at its highest and lowest. I couldn’t ask for better creative collaborators than Gavin and Tom, and I’m thrilled to be partnered with them on this project.”

Ant and Dec crowned celeb pair with best friendship

OHMYGOSSIP — Ant and Dec have been crowned the celebrity pair with the best friendship.
The dynamic duo have beaten an extensive list of all-star partnerships – including the likes of This Morning’s Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield – in a recent survey conducted by Thomas & Friends, the brand franchise behind Thomas the Tank Engine.
However, it’s hardly surprising they’ve nabbed the crown as they’ve been friends for over 25 years and are still going strong now – even presenting ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, ‘Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’ and ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ together.
Ant said they first formed a friendship when they were both cast in ‘Byker Grove’ as they shared a mutual love for Newcastle United and films.
Dec said: “We’d never met before but the two characters became friends so ultimately we would be hanging around on set waiting for our scenes to be done or hanging out in the Green Room, or sitting next to each other when we were getting tutored.”
Ant added in a recent interview: “We then got to be in scenes together and honestly it was sat there talking about Newcastle United and the games and who our favourite players were and who we didn’t like – it’s the same chat as we have now to be honest, 25 years on – that’s how we bonded really.”
Meanwhile, they may not have managed to make the top spot but Holly and Phil did come in quite high as they followed swiftly behind in second place, while the blonde beauty’s friendship with Fearne Cotton secured the third position.
Thomas & Friends International Friendship Survey recorded votes from 2,000 UK parents with children aged 2-5 on who they thought was the ultimate celebrity friendship, as part of celebrations for the UN International Day of Friendship.
The Top 10 Best Celebrity Friendships are as follows;

Kem Cetinay and Chris Hughes wanted for Celebrity Big Brother?

OHMYGOSSIP — Love Island’s Kem Cetinay and Chris Hughes have reportedly been offered £100,000 each to enter this year’s ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.
The twosome have only just returned to the UK following six weeks abroad in the villa, during which time they struck up a close friendship, but bosses at Channel 5 are reportedly keen to nab them for the forthcoming series of the reality TV show next month and are determined to do all it takes to persuade them to join the line up.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “The boys are meeting producers next week in London after the ‘Love Island’ wrap party on Sunday night …
“Producers are desperate to snap them up as they’ve both got the online social media influence to get viewers tuning into the new series.”
However, the boys – who both have new girlfriends after falling in love in the villa – will get to have a little breather if they do agree to do the show, as bosses are planning to throw them into the famous abode two weeks after the series kicks off on August 1.
And it’s not just Channel 5 who are after the pair, as music execs have also reportedly been in touch as they’re keen to sign them up to their label and release a song.
A source said recently: “Top record companies have approached Kem and Chris as a duo and there are big offers on the table. They will be releasing a single.
“Fans have fallen in love with them on the show and the boys want to make the most of their musical talents. It’s definitely not the last you’ll see of Kem and Chris.”

Ferne McCann offered £250,000 for pregnancy show

OHMYGOSSIP — Ferne McCann has reportedly been offered £250,000 for a six-part TV show documenting her pregnancy.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star is believed to be on the verge of signing a contract with the TV channel Quest, which was home to Katie Price’s ‘My Crazy Life’, although nothing is definite yet.
An insider told the Mirror Online: “Ferne has been offered a reported £250,000 deal for a new six-part series on the same network as Katie Price’s ‘My Crazy Life’.
“The network reportedly want to follow her throughout the pregnancy while she looks at a whole load of different birthing options.
“While she’s trying to keep things under wraps, this kind of show really appeals to Ferne but she still hasn’t committed to anything yet.”
The 26-year-old presenter is just months away from giving birth to her’s and ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins’ little bundle of joy and has been thoroughly enjoying watching her belly grow the further along she gets, and doesn’t mind the “changes” her body is going through.
A source said previously: “Ferne is embracing the changes in her body – she’s joking that this is the only time she doesn’t care about putting on weight.”
Ferne was forced to announce her pregnancy just two days after Arthur was arrested on suspicion of involvement in an acid attack at London nightclub Mangle in April, but the brunette beauty can’t wait to meet her son or daughter in November.
An insider explained: “I think she’s more excited about meeting her baby than anything, but she does have moments when she worries and is anxious about being a single mother and facing it alone. She isn’t thinking about dating at the moment, even though she’s had some messages from lads. She’s just focusing on her pregnancy.”

Millie Mackintosh sparks rumours she’s engaged

OHMYGOSSIP — Millie Mackintosh has sparked rumours she’s engaged.
The former ‘Made In Chelsea’ star has set tongues wagging after she was spotted wearing a diamond sparkler on her ring finger on Wednesday (26.07.17) while on holiday in Mykonos with her beau Hugo Taylor in celebration of her 28th birthday.
The TV star raised eyebrows the night before when she uploaded a photograph of her tucking into a lavish cake and cunningly hid her left hand from the shot by sliding it under the table. She captioned it: “The perfect end to the best birthday ever.”
The rumoured engagement comes just five months after she confirmed the couple had decided to take their romance to the next level by moving in together in London.
Uploading a picture of the pair at London Fashion Week in February, Millie posted three red hearts and wrote: “My new roomie (sic)”
Millie and Hugo have been dating just over a year, but were previously in a relationship with one another before the posh babe married rapper Professor Green in 2013.
The reality TV star has remained relatively tight-lipped on her beau in interviews but admitted a few months ago that she’s “very happy” with him and things are “great.”
She said at the time: “Hugo’s great. I’m great. I’m very happy. That’s all that I can say.”
Although Millie seemed to move on fairly quickly after she split from Pro Green – whose real name is Stephen Manderson – the ‘Read All About It’ hitmaker was distraught.
He said: “I didn’t get married to get divorced. Neither of us did. So all that really comes from it is it’s quite sad that it ended. I definitely [still believe in love], because I love people I’ve had relationships with. I love friends – even friends I’m not friends with any more. And family members. I can’t tell you that I don’t love my mum, because I wouldn’t be here without her. So even though we don’t have a relationship, she’s still someone I love – all be it from a distance.”

Honey G was scared of homophobic abuse

OHMYGOSSIP — Honey G was toying with the idea of coming out when she was competing on ‘The X Factor’ last year but feared people would spout homophobic abuse at her.
The 36-year-old rapper revealed she was a lesbian last night (26.07.17) in a very revealing interview but has admitted, although she’s only just made the announcement, she’s been attracted to women for a long time but was too scared to come out.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Thursday (27.07.17), she said: “During X Factor’ there was always speculation and some of the press asked me during interviews about my sexuality. I wasn’t ready at that time to come out to the world.
“I was quite shy and guarded, I was a bit nervous about people being homophobic and people not being very kind about it. Some people don’t accept gay people like they accept straight people. It wasn’t the right time during ‘X Factor’.”
However, despite her initial concerns, the brunette star has been blown away by the amount of positive comments she’s received since the news went live just hours ago.
She explained: “[It’s] mostly positive comments that I’ve seen on Twitter and Instagram. I’m completely overwhelmed with the support I’ve been getting from the British public. People have been rely kind about it. Obviously you see the odd comment, they didn’t like the way i looked in that photo, everyone has their opinion.”
Meanwhile, Honey G – whose real name is Anna Gilford – isn’t ready to date just yet but has admitted she has a number of celebrity crushes.
She said: “I’ve had a thing for Queen Latifah for f***ing ages. Literally. She’s an A-list celebrity so how can I get anywhere near her, do you know what I mean? Obviously [‘X Factor’ judge] Nicole Scherzinger is very attractive and she’s got an amazing body. But obviously I know she’s straight, we never really sat down and got to know each other.”

John Leslie drops out of Celebrity Big Brother

OHMYGOSSIP — John Leslie has reportedly quit ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ just days before the show’s launch.
The new series of the reality TV show is meant to kick off in just five days’ time, but the former presenter has thrown production into chaos and bosses are now on a frantic hunt to find another star as he’s decided to drop out of the line up, despite being offered £600,000 – one of the biggest fees ever – to take part in this year’s instalment.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “He got cold feet.”
However, friends are hoping they can persuade him to take part in the show at a later date as they believe it will help revive his television career following 15 years away.
The insider added: “But he might appear on another series in the future.”
John took himself away from the limelight in 2002 when Matthew Wright wrongly linked him to an allegation made by Swedish telly beauty Ulrika Jonsson in her autobiography in which she claimed she had been raped by an “an acquaintance”.
Little did the former ‘Blue Peter’ star know that a year later he would also be accused of two sex assaults on an actress in 1997. He was later cleared of the all allegations.
But bosses were hoping that the 52 year old would open up about his fall from grace while inside the house and allow viewers to carve out a new perspective of him.
Meanwhile, although producers are devastated John has pulled out, there will still be plenty of drama as Shaun Williamson, Coronation Street’s Shobna Gulati, Girls Aloud band member Sarah Harding and as ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ heartthrob Pete Wicks have also been linked to this year’s show – although the line-up is yet to be confirmed.
‘Celebrity Big Brother’ will return to Channel 5 on August 1 at 9pm.

Gavin and Stacey to return as a film?

OHMYGOSSIP — Larry Lamb thinks ‘Gavin & Stacey’ will return as a film one day.
The 69-year-old actor – who played matriarch Mick Shipman in the comedy – doesn’t think the show will ever come back to TV screens with a new series, but he doesn’t think any of the cast – including James Corden, Ruth Jones, Joanna Page and Mathew Horne – would turn down the opportunity to do something for the big screen.
He told the MailOnline: “I don’t think anybody that was in it would ever say no to it. I think it’s highly unlikely that they’ll ever make another television series of ‘Gavin & Stacey’. I think it’s a distinct possibility that one day, they might make a film, that’s it. That’s purely conjecture… It’s got a huge audience, so I’m sure that’s what they’ll do.”
And, although he’s not usually keen on going back to previous jobs, the former ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ contestant thoroughly enjoyed ‘Gavin & Stacey’.
He explained: “‘Gavin and Stacey’ was one of my career highs. The thing was, we knew it was something special. We came together. I knew Alison [Steadman, who played his on-screen wife Pam Shipman], but she was the only person I knew and the first day comes and we all gather together.
“We knew right then it was something special we all had the script and read it but as actors bring the words to life it was something special from the off. I’m still in touch with Alison and we don’t live that far so I still see her at things.”
Since the show, which ran for three years, came to an end in 2010, James – who wrote the series with Ruth – has carved out a successful career across the pond and is now the host of the US’ popular chat show, ‘The Late Late Show’.
Larry said: “James’ success was extraordinary. He’s not an Essex boy at all. He’s a West London military boy. He’s extremely talented. People forget he’s been around for years long before ‘Gavin And Stacey’. He’s a really experienced performer.”
Meanwhile, although he’s almost in the seventh decade of his life, Larry has no plans to slow down and is convinced he’ll still be working up until he takes his last breath.
He said: “If you’re an actor and you get to a certain age the best thing to do is wait for the phone to stop ringing. And that’s it. Let it dry naturally. I’ll probably die working!”
