Brian Conley signs up to Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Brian Conley has signed up to ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 55-year-old comedian is reportedly set to star in the upcoming series of the BBC One ballroom and latin show and producers hope he will bring some humour to proceedings.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Brian is all signed up for the show and is sure to be a laugh a minute. He’s a born performer and really knows how to get a crowd going given his years of experience playing Buttons in panto.
“From eating fire on Loose Women earlier this year to flashing his rear on The Wright Stuff – ‘Dangerous Brian’ certainly won’t be afraid to try anything on the Strictly dance floor. He was addicted to the series last year and even came to watch the live shows to get some tips – he really can’t wait to get going.”
Meanwhile, the Saturdays singer Mollie King is also said to have signed up for the show.
A source said recently: “Mollie is all signed up and will be this year’s ‘Strictly’ babe. She’s a talented performer because of all her experience with The Saturdays and her solo career – so she’s someone who is very likely to make it to the final rounds.
“Producers loved the sex appeal and performance skills of Daisy Lowe last year and believe Mollie offers the same. She’s also very well connected and has a lot of celebrity friends who will attend filming each week.”
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ line-up is being kept under wraps but it is “almost complete”, according to an insider.
They said: “There are now just a handful of famous faces who are yet to sign on the dotted line to take part in the 15th series of the show. There will again be 15 stars taking to the ballroom when the show returns to BBC One this autumn.”

Amelia Lily caught in love triangle

OHMYGOSSIP — Amelia Lily has caught the eye of both Sam Thompson and Chad Johnson.
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ star revealed to Jordan Davies in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ garden that he has feelings for the former ‘X Factor’ contestant and would like something “better than a rebound” with her, but worried he might not get his chance to make a move.
He told Jordan: “You and Marissa [Jade] is like a bit of fun, for me it’s like – off the back of a three-year relationship I’d love to rebound with someone. But it’s better than a rebound, she’s the kind of girl I’d actually date, that I actually like.
“It is a bit gutting when Chad’s like…doing what he’s doing.”
And Chad had his chance to get closer to Amelia when they won a date with one another.
However, the 22-year-old singer had admitted to Sam she felt nervous because the date was “a bit of pressure”, and when she and Chad got their time alone in the garden, she told him she found the situation “a bit weird”.
After the date, Amelia headed straight back over to Sam, leaving dejected Chad to chat with Paul Danan in the bedroom, so the former ‘Hollyoaks’ star urged him to tell her how he felt.
And Paul also decided to intervene, telling Amelia that Chad feared he had been “played”, but the singer insisted she hadn’t done anything wrong.
Amelia was later reduced to tears after having a heart-to-heart with Chad, in which she insisted she didn’t have feelings for anyone in the house.
After some confused chat, she directly asked him if he “liked” her, and he admitted he did, prompting her to say: “You’re not telling me, I’m not a mind reader Chad. How am I supposed to know?”
The ‘Bachelorette’ star tried to ease the tension with a hug and said: “Look, give me a hug and we can go back to how it was before everyone started f***ing with us.”
Amelia agreed and said: “That’s the problem Chad, what started off as a joke has been blown out of proportion.”
But the American then left the room and sarcastically said: “Yeah, hilarious…”

Jeremy Clarkson ‘out of action’ indefinitely

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Clarkson will be “out of action” for “quite some time”.
The 57-year-old presenter was rushed to hospital on Friday (04.08.17) while holidaying in Majorca after contracting pneumonia and he admits it is “really, really annoying” that he’ll be unable to resume his working commitments for the foreseeable future.
He wrote on his Drive Tribe website: “Thanks for all the good wishes. And to keep you up to date, I’ll be out of action for quite some time apparently. It’s really really annoying because I’ve never had one day off work since I started in 1978.”
The ‘Grand Tour’ star also poked fun at his condition and the depleted presenting team of the motoring show as co-host Richard Hammond is still recovering after a crash in June.
He shared a picture of third presenter James May, with his hair standing on end, and wrote on his Instagram account: “The only functioning member of the Grand Tour team right now. God help us.(sic)”
Richard also poked fun at his friend on social media.
He shared a link to Jeremy’s Drive Tribe post and wrote: “Wow. I didn’t know he had a job.”
It was previously revealed the presenter’s friends are concerned about his health following his hospitalisation.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “He’s told friends not to expect to hear too much from him over the next few weeks which is very unlike him, and obviously his family are concerned.
“Inevitably people close to him are saying it’s time to think about the way he looks after himself – cutting back on the booze and fags – but he’s never been one to take that sort of guidance on board.”
Jeremy previously revealed that he suffered a cancer scare in 2015, two days before he assaulted a BBC ‘Top Gear’ producer.
He said: “Two days before the ‘fracas’, I had been told, sternly, by my doctor that the lump on my tongue was probably cancer and that I must get it checked out immediately. But I couldn’t do that.
“We were in the middle of a ‘Top Gear’ series. And ‘Top Gear’ always came first.
“That was the most stressful day I have ever had in 27 years at the BBC.
“It was beyond-belief stressful, everything was going wrong, and then you know… there you go. But everyone has stressful days, and they manage to cope better than I had.”

Daniel Craig’s Bond drama

OHMYGOSSIP — Daniel Craig and Sam Mendes reportedly had a number of creative differences on the set of ‘Spectre’.
Although the paid had a good personal relationship, they are said to have had very different ideas on the James Bond movie, which led to tension on set.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Daniel and Sam were best buddies when they first started working together and you would constantly see them laughing and joking.
“But after filming had been going on for a while, things started to change.
“There were a few areas in which they had very different creative opinions and their friendship did become strained.
“There were jokes that you could cut the atmosphere between them with one of Bond’s knives.
“Both are hugely respected and were never unprofessional. They played their parts brilliantly and produced one of the best Bond films.
“But it wasn’t the easiest of times for them.”
Meanwhile, Sam also directed 2012’s ‘Skyfall’ but insisted last year that it was time for him to step away from the franchise.
He said: “It was an incredible adventure, I loved every second of it. But I think it’s time for somebody else.
“I’m a storyteller. And at the end of the day, I want to make stories with new characters.”
He has also said: “There is a sense of completeness that wasn’t there at the end of Skyfall, and that’s what makes this feel different. It feels like there’s a rightness to it, that I have finished a journey.
“What is important is, not doing it is not a negative. It’s not me saying, ‘I don’t want to do this.’ What it would be is me saying, ‘I really want to do this story.’ There are other stories to tell.”

Rihanna feels shy watching her performances back

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna feels “shy” watching herself on screen.
The 29-year-old beauty was very proud to star in ‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’ and, unusually for her, she enjoyed seeing her turn as alien burlesque dancer Bubble.
She said: “I mean, when Luc Besson calls, you just go. You just show up.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of the cast with Cara [Delevingne] and Dane [DeHaan]. The movie is so exciting, it’s so beautiful – and I usually get shy about seeing myself on TV or hearing my voice but he did such a spectacular job. I was blown away.”
The ‘We Found Love’ singer “identified” a lot with her character.
She explained: “Luc told me that bubble is an artist and she’s very sensitive. So I kind of identified with her.
“She’s a shape-shifter and I like to think of myself as a shape-shifter when it comes to my fashion, my music, and my visuals, so it was an exciting part. I fell in love with her.”
Though she had a great time working on the film, Rihanna admits it was “intimidating” when she first went onto the set.
She told OK! magazine: “It was definitely intimidating, like walking into a whole world you don’t really understand.
“You can’t really see what Luc has in mind but you have to just trust him, and he is such an excellent director.
“He was so patient with me, knowing that I’m new to this, and he really dug in there to get what he needed out of me. I enjoyed it and I learnt a lot.”

Robert Pattinson: ‘It’s taken 10 years to move on from Twilight’

OHMYGOSSIP — Robert Pattinson says it has taken him 10 years to leave ‘Twilight’ behind.
The 31-year-old actor shot to fame playing brooding vampire Edward Cullen in the ‘Twilight Saga’ franchise and Robert has admitted that the popularity of the movies made it difficult for people to see him as any other character.
He told The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast: “As soon as I signed on to do multiple sequels, I was like, ‘It’s gonna take 10 years to get over this.'”
However, Robert has never felt stifled by ‘Twilight’ and he acknowledges that he wouldn’t have his career without it.
He said: “I’ve never really felt trapped by it. I’ve always known it was the right move. I wouldn’t have done any of this other stuff if not for that.”
Despite his appreciation for the franchise, Robert feared he had a “credibility deficit” for his post-‘Twilight’ career and he managed to overcome this by working with directors including David Cronenberg, Werner Herzog and Anton Corbijn.
He explained: “I was aware of a credibility deficit. And so you think, ‘Well, if [Werner] Herzog and Anton Corbijn and all these people are hiring me, well, you’re gonna have to s**t on your heroes if you want to s**t on me.'”
And despite finding huge commercial success early in his career, Robert doesn’t care if his current movies make any money.
He said: “I don’t even care if they make money at all. Like, literally. As long as I can get another one.”

Sheridan Smith’s new love

OHMYGOSSIP — Sheridan Smith has a new boyfriend.
The 36-year-old actress was spotted on a date with LA hairstylist and model Graham Nation in London last week and things are already starting to get serious.
A source told The Sun on Sunday that the couple “had dinner at vegan restaurant The Farmacy in Notting Hill, West London and were seen again at lunchtime the next day embracing on the street”.
Sheridan has had somewhat of a tough time recently as she sadly lost her beloved father Colin at the age of 80 to cancer in December.
Last year, she also missed weeks of the production of ‘Funny Girl’ in London due to “stress.”
A statement said at the time: “Sheridan Smith will be taking a leave of absence from ‘Funny Girl’ due to stress and exhaustion.
“The entire team at ‘Funny Girl’ is thinking of Sheridan, and know she is getting the rest and support she needs during this difficult and stressful time.
“We will all miss her enormously and send her our love and best wishes – and we are looking forward to her return to the show in due course.”
And in June, she was forced to pull out of the Bradford run of ‘Funny Girl’, after she contracted mumps.
A statement released on Bradford Theatres’ official Twitter account said: “Following test results, it is confirmed that Sheridan Smith has contracted mumps and on doctor’s advice will not be able to perform in ‘Funny Girl’ at the Alhambra Theatre, Bradford this week. The producers and company wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to welcoming her back as soon as possible.
“This week, the role of Fanny Brice will be played by Natasha J. Barnes who is currently sharing the role of Fanny Brice with Sheridan Smith on the UK Tour of ‘Funny Girl’.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Clarkson has been rushed to hospital with severe pneumonia.
The ‘Grand Tour’ star became unwell while on a trip to Majorca with friends and was admitted to hospital while he recovers.
A spokeswoman for The Grand Tour said: “Jeremy Clarkson was admitted to hospital on Friday morning during a family holiday in Spain, and is being treated for pneumonia.”
And friends are concerned that he needs to start taking better care of his health.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “He’s told friends not to expect to hear too much from him over the next few weeks which is very unlike him, and obviously his family are concerned.
“Inevitably people close to him are saying it’s time to think about the way he looks after himself – cutting back on the booze and fags – but he’s never been one to take that sort of guidance on board.”

Freema Agyeman broke the TARDIS

OHMYGOSSIP — Freema Agyeman broke the TARDIS.
The 38-year-old actress – who played the Time Lord’s companion, Martha Jones, on ‘Doctor Who’ between 2006 and 2010 – admits she is very “clumsy” and one day accidentally knocked the iconic time machine’s console, but she couldn’t hide her gaffe because “everyone” saw what had happened.
She told Grazia magazine: “We were talking the other night about how clumsy we’d been on the ‘Doctor Who’ set and I had to confess I knocked a tiny knob off the TARDIS console. Everyone on set saw.”
Despite her own acting success, Freema doesn’t spend a lot of time watching television or going to the cinema.
She admitted: “[My friends tease me about] not watching enough TV or film – they can never talk to me about the latest must-sees that everyone is excited about.”
The ‘Sense8’ actress has recently taken up meditation and has found it has made a huge impact on her outlook on life.
Asked who owes her an apology, she said: “A year ago, I might have thought of someone but I’ve taken up meditation so I’ve learned to let things go.
“I cannot believe how much easier things are for me now…
“I don’t [call anyone in a crisis] because I’m a self-soother. I sometimes find that external voices can complicate an issue and cloud my judgement.”
While she’s altered her outlook on life, Freema wishes she could change her sleep schedule.
She said: “I need to get into a better bedtime routine. I can never get my butt into gear in the evenings, even if I plan that I’m going to get home and get ready for bed, it never happens.”

Simon Cowell’s X Factor shake-up

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell is moving the ‘X Factor’ final to avoid a clash with ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The music mogul reportedly doesn’t want his show to have to compete with the BBC dance contest this year, so has decided to air the ‘X Factor’ final in early December, while ‘Strictly’ will continue on until the middle of the month.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “This year ‘X Factor’ will air on Saturdays and Sundays from the start.
“We’ll have more pre-recorded shows, but fewer live shows, so the series will air for fewer weeks than before.
“It looks likely that the final will be in early December.”
The show is also set to see a huge shake-up regarding format as Simon is on a desperate mission to save it from getting the chop after last year’s viewing figures were a flop.
A source said recently: “Ratings plummeted and Simon knew a drastic revamp was needed. The Saturday night show became so tedious as there was rarely any drama which an eviction would bring. ITV believes transforming it is the right decision.”
Meanwhile, Simon recently revealed that Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne are paid more than Louis Walsh for ‘The X Factor’.
Simon revealed that he’s prepared to part with more cash when it comes to nabbing the two females for his judging panel because he knows that the Irish music manager is willing to take any fee in order to reclaim his seat on the series.
When asked about the recent BBC wages reveal, Simon said: “For once this is good news. Victory. Yeah, they definitely are. I just don’t tell Louis. He’s got enough money for a bum implant so he shouldn’t be complaining. I’m almost like a pioneer I guess, yeah. If they get the money, it doesn’t matter to me whether you’re a boy or a girl. But I would say we’ve probably paid girls more money than guys over the years.”

Gavin Rossdale axed from The Voice?

OHMYGOSSIP — Gavin Rossdale has been axed from ‘The Voice’.
The 51-year-old musician joined the show last year when it moved from the BBC to ITV but he is set to be replaced after just one season because programme bosses feel he lacked charisma.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Gavin was great to work with during the series, but the bosses just felt he wasn’t right in the end.
“He didn’t make much of an impact, and they want someone with serious spark and charisma.
“So they have taken the decision that he won’t be back next year.”
And ITV bosses are already lining up McFly’s Danny Jones to replace him, after he impressed on ‘The Voice Kids’.
The insider added: “Danny is currently one of the favourites to replace him.”
Meanwhile, former coach Ricky Wilson recently revealed he would love to return to ‘The Voice’.
He said: “I’d love to go back to ‘The Voice’. It’s loads of fun. I’d go back tomorrow if they asked me. I’m glad I took some time off – like anything, if you get used to it you get jaded by it, so I’m glad to step away from it but there’s situations where you step away from it and then you’re not invited back.
“But one day I’d like to be go back, either that or something else. If you asked my partner she’d say I hated it. I probably hate doing it but I love having done it.”

Ricky Wilson to be X Factor judge?

OHMYGOSSIP — Ricky Wilson wants to be an ‘X Factor’ judge.
The former ‘Voice’ coach – who worked on the talent show for two years from 2013 – is a big fan of the ITV programme and would love it if his good friend Nicole Scherzinger could set up a meeting with Simon Cowell.
He told Closer magazine: “I’m a big ‘X Factor’ fan and one good thing about not being on ‘The Voice’ is I could watch it on a Saturday night.
“I’d love to do the show but I’ve not met Simon Cowell.”
It was previously claimed Ricky quit to work more with his band Kaiser Chiefs amid speculation of a feud with long-standing coach will.i.am, but he insists that wasn’t the case.
He said: “That was written after I left ‘The Voice’ was all rubbish.
“I didn’t leave to go back on the road with the band. I would have gone back to ‘The Voice’ for another series but they didn’t want me.
“It certainly didn’t put me off, I’d love to do more talent shows.”
The ‘Ruby’ singer recently admitted he’d be open to returning to ‘The Voice’.
The 39-year-old singer was replaced by Gavin Rossdale and, although he’s desperate to return to the panel, Ricky thinks the Bush rocker should stick it out.
He explained: “Really is Gavin leaving? If they offer it to him I’d say stick in there Gavin, because the first year is always the hardest. It was for me because to be honest it’s like people have got very short memories, and everyone was like, ‘Ricky who?’ By the second and third time, I was winning the s**t out of it. Why am I saying this? I want ITV to get rid of him (Gavin). Now that’s not what I’m saying.”

Celebrity Big Brother housemates punished for rule breaking

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ contestants have been punished after Sam Thompson breached the shows rules.
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ star was caught discussing voting tactics ahead of the first round of nominations with his pal Jordan Davies, and during their conversation the blonde-haired lothario urged the 25-year-old fellow reality TV star to team up with him and plot who they will boot out and who they will keep in.
But the pair’s conversation has jeopardised the entire house, despite being warned about talking about the topic.
During Saturday night’s (05.08.17) episode of the Channel 5 show Big Brother grouped all of the competitors together to break the news and discuss the penalty. They said: “It is against the rules to discuss nominations with each other, this includes discussing or hinting who you might nominate in the future.
“Yesterday at 10.15 am in a conversation with Jordan, Sam you said: ‘I think there is probably only one person who will pick us. I don’t even know if I would pick her, I enjoy f**king around with her.’
“Jordan you said: ‘Yes you want people like that, you don’t want to pick her.’
“Sam: ‘Mate we will have to f**king co-ordinate beforehand, so that we both do it.'”
However, Sam and Jordan were not the only ones to speak out about their nominations as the ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star, Brandi Glanville, threatened to out both Jordan and Sam if they continued to pester her with their pranks.
Speaking about the busty blonde’s slip up, Big Brother said: “And this morning at 2.45am, Brandi you said: ‘If you guys come over here tonight, you boys are going to be my first two nominations, get the f**k away'”.
The other contestants, including Sarah Harding, Jemma Lucy and Shaun Williamson listened on in shock horror and disappointment at the trio’s actions, which has resulted in all of their luxury food items being confiscated.
Big Brother explained: “These two conversations are a clear breach of the ‘Big Brother’ rules and as a result the house is to be punished. The house has been stripped of all luxury food items, and you will live off basic rations until further notice.”
Sam swiftly apologised for his mistake, which only fell on deaf ears.
He said: “‘Team, I’m so sorry. I really apologise. That is so bad.”
To which Jemma Lucy bluntly replied: “Too late now.”

Margot Robbie and husband co-producing new movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Margot Robbie and her husband Tom Ackerley will produce new sci-fi thriller ‘Augmented’.
The 27-year-old actress’ company, LuckyChap Entertainment, will co-produce the Warner Bros picture alongside Di Novi Pictures, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Mark Townend’s script for ‘Augmented’ appeared on the 2016 Black List and was sold for a six-figure sum.
No plot details have been revealed yet from the highly sought-after script.
Meanwhile, last year, Margot signed a “first-look” deal with Warner Bros and one of her first projects is ‘Gotham City Sirens’, which she will star in and executive produce.
Margot will reprise her role as sexy, psychotic supervillain Harley Quinn in the new movie, which will focus on the women from the DC comics.
She is said to have fallen in love with the character after portraying her in ‘Suicide Squad’.
It’s not known whether Quinn’s dangerous lover The Joker (Jared Leto) will star in the spin-off or Batman (Ben Affleck), who is traditionally the superhero trying to stop the pair’s criminal plans.
But Robbie has previously admitted she would love Quinn and The Joker to reunite.
She said: “I’m trying to make that happen. Not for anything specifically, but just something – there’s so much more to do.”
In the recent comic series, which the movie will be based on, Catwoman and Poison Ivy featured alongside Harley and could appear in the upcoming film.

Natalie Portman in talks for Bronco Belle

OHMYGOSSIP — Natalie Portman is in talks to star in ‘Bronco Belle’.
The ‘Jackie’ actress is in early negotiations to play an aspiring bull rider in the upcoming movie, which will be directed by Anna Rose Holmer, Deadline reports.
Khurram Longi has written the script about a waitress who dreams of joining the rodeo, while Andrew Lazar will produce.
Meanwhile, Natalie, 35, recently claimed that women are still being objectified in movies rather than being portrayed as “complex” individuals.
Portman thinks the movie business still has a long way to go in terms of the parts on offer for actresses in mainstream movies, just like many other industries still need to offer more to women.
She said: “We’re having a problem with female leadership – in business, in government, in storytelling. I think it has to do with being a boss. We’re still having a problem, first with women in that position, and second there are so many obstacles in their way.
Referring specifically to the problems in Hollywood, she continued: “We are so often put in roles as objects of desire, with a male view, as opposed to subjects of desire with complex weaknesses, and moments of strength and focus – and you can be all of those things.”

Emily Blunt loved working on a movie with her husband

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Blunt had “so much fun” voicing ‘Animal Crackers’ with her husband.
The ‘Girl on the Train’ actress – who has daughters Hazel, three, and Violet, 13 months, with spouse John Krasinski – admits she and the 37-year-old actor had told producers they were able to record their parts in the animated adventure together because it made things a lot easier for their family life.
She said: “It was so much fun. What was also lucky was John and I got to be in the sound booth together, which is very rare.
“We specifically requested that because it made it very easy for us to drive to the studio together and so there was no problem coordinating our schedules. We also got to do a lot of improvising together, which was great.”
And the 34-year-old star is keen to work on another film with her husband, if they can find the right project.
She said: “It’s sometimes hard to find a good project where you feel you would both be right for it. But we would love to do a film together one day if it’s something very good.”
The couple believe it is vital to “support” one another’s careers because it is the only way to juggle their work and raising a young family smoothly.
She told OK! magazine: “We try to support each other in everything we do. It’s not always easy to lead a Hollywood career when you’re raising two young children, but we are very supportive of each other and have a strong bond between us.”
