Sarah Harding’s father blasts CBB for exploiting her

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Harding’s estranged father has accused ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ bosses of “cruelly exploiting” her for ratings.
The Girls Aloud singer has not spoken to her dad John Hardman for 17 years but he has been horrified to see her having several emotional meltdowns on the show.
He told the Daily Mirror: “Sarah’s being cruelly exploited for ratings purposes. It would be in her bests interests if ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ arranged for her to leave – her health is in jeopardy.
“I can’t bear to see my daughter break down and be forced to open her heart once more about her insecurities and vulnerabilities in front of cameras.
“It’s cruel TV.”
And, he called her appearance on the Channel 5 reality TV show “demeaning”.
He added: “With the amazing career that she’s already enjoyed, she doesn’t actually need to be in the house at all.
“She’s enjoyed huge success with Girls Aloud. It’s so demeaning for her.
“”I’ve forced myself to watch three episodes and am appalled at the use of her F and C words, the general level of obscenities uttered, and her overall humiliation.
“The crude language isn’t her as she was properly brought up. She comes from a professional background of doctors and legal experts, and even had an uncle in politics.
“But she’s now so traumatised on air that she’s crying out for real love.”
This week, viewers were shocked to see Sarah, 35, break down following arguments with actor Paul Danan , 39, and reality TV star Jemma Lucy , 29.

Joe McFadden signs up for Strictly

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe McFadden has joined the line-up for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The ’41-year-old actor is the latest celebrity to be confirmed for the BBC One dance show and Joe – who is best known for playing the role of Raffaello ‘Raf’ di Lucca in ‘Holby City’ – admitted he is “terrified”.
He said: “‘Strictly’ is one of the biggest, most entertaining shows on TV and being asked to be part of it is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I’m thrilled and terrified about in equal measures!”
Joe is the sixth contestant to be confirmed by the BBC for the upcoming series.
Earlier this week, Reverend Richard Coles and actress Gemma Atkinson revealed they had signed up to take part.
The Church of England priest – who is now vicar of Finedon in Northamptonshire – admitted he can’t wait to get stuck in to learning the routines – even though he struggles with pains in his knees.
He said: “Cometh the hour, cometh the overweight Vicar with arthritis in his knees.”
And Gemma revealed that rather than stressing over the fancy footwork, she was concerned about the costumes for the forthcoming series of the ballroom and latin show, which kicks off this autumn.
She said: “I dress like a 14-year-old boy in work, I am a trackies and converse kind of girl, but I have been wearing stilettos around my house. I don’t know how women do it all the time. I am not graceful, my mum says I’m like a baby elephant. I’m a big lass, I’m 5’9”. I’m going to challenge my inner feminine side. I will be graceful, once they give me a dancer, they are so big and strong and they are going to be amazing. I am going to embrace it, make the most of it, and enjoy it.”
The other celebrities on the line up so far include This Morning’s Ruth Lansgford, Mollie King and EastEnders’ Davood Ghadami but Aston Merrygold is rumoured to have also signed up for the show.

Vicky Pattison lost self-respect on Geordie Shore

OHMYGOSSIP — Vicky Pattison “swapped self-respect for attention” while appearing on ‘Geordie Shore’.
The 29-year-old presenter tries not to have any regrets about the decisions she’s made but admits she’d never appear on another reality show as she’s embarrassed by some of her actions on the fly–on-the-wall MTV programme, which she quit in 2013.
She said: “I wouldn’t do another reality show. I’m a very open person but, at the same time, there are things I want to keep to myself and reality TV takes that off the table. I try not to have regrets, I know I would never be where I am without it and I will always be grateful for that.
“But there are some things I did on ‘Geordie Shore’ that I will never forgive myself for.
“I lost myself on that show – I became a character and got lost in the machine.
“I swapped my self-respect for attention for a while.”
The brunette beauty’s former boyfriend, Stephen Bear – who she dated for four months in 2015 – has recently found love with her ex-‘Geordie Shore’ castmate Charlotte Crosby and she has dismissed any suggestion of animosity over the relationship, insisting she is happy for the pair.
She said: “I don’t even know why people think I would mind. I can’t even remember going out with Bear to be honest, and I haven’t spoken to Charlotte for ages – but I wish them all the best.
“From what I know of them two, I think it’s real and genuine.”
And Vicky herself couldn’t be happier at the moment having rekindled her romance with businessman John Noble, whom she’s now engaged to after he recently popped the question.
She said: “I couldn’t be happier. Nothing I’ve ever experienced comes close to this feeling.
“We actually went out when I was 20 – I knew he was the right person but it was the wrong time.
“Now it works. He’s recycled, not shiny new. It’s the best thing I ever did.”

Aston Merrygold signs up for Strictly

OHMYGOSSIP — Aston Merrygold has signed up for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The former JLS singer – who previously worked as a judge on Sky 1 talent show ‘Got to Dance’ – is reportedly set to compete on the BBC One dance show this year but people are worried that his previous experience will give him an edge over the other stars.
A source told The Sun: “It doesn’t have to be ballroom or Latin dancing experience to give someone an edge.
“Aston spent years being choreographed in JLS and that rhythm and ability to follow instructions puts him streets ahead of competitors.
“And if there was ever proof he knows a thing or two about dancing, he was a judge in a dance talent show.”
However, a ‘Strictly’ insider has insisted that Aston’s dance past will not give him an edge as he has no Latin or ballroom dancing experience.
The show source said: “The show is all about Latin and ballroom dancing. Other dance experience isn’t going to give anyone an advantage.”
Other celebrities on the line up so far include This Morning’s Ruth Lansgford, Mollie King, actress Gemma Atkinson, EastEnders’ Davood Ghadami and Reverend Richard Coles but more are expected to be announced over the coming weeks.

She said: “Television is definitely the way I want to go. It would be great to land something in a series or sitcom.
“I’ve been told I have potential, so I’ll stick with it and see where it goes.”
And it isn’t only in her professional life that the 31-year-old beauty – who previously dated Ricky Rayment for two years until 2014 and has subsequently been romantically linked with actors Bruno Langley and Luke Pasqualino and ‘The Apprentice’ star James Hill – has been setting goals as she’s also keen to find her “fairy-tale ending”, just like her brother Mark Wright and his wife Michelle Keegan.
She said: “Most girls want the fairy-tale ending don’t they? I can’t wait to eventually settle down and have a family.
“I’m not in a massive rush, although I probably should be because of my age.
“But I’m excited for when the right guy comes along. I see Mark and Michelle together – I do want to have that one day.”
Jess used to worry about getting older, but now she’s embracing it as she looks to other women in the public eye for inspiration.

When she isn’t working, Jess loves hanging out with her famous sister-in-law.
She told Closer magazine: “Michelle is so much fun when we go out clubbing or for cocktails together. She’s a real girly girl like me, so we just gel.”

Karthik Nagesan evicted from Celebrity Big Brother

OHMYGOSSIP — Karthik Nagesan has been booted from ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The former ‘Apprentice’ contestant has found himself named as the second star to leave the Channel 5 reality show during Friday’s (11.08.17) broadcast of the show, shortly after ‘Mob Wives’ beauty Marissa Jade was sent packing earlier this week.
Since Thursday (10.08.17), fans of the show had been voting between Karthik and fellow housemates Sarah Harding, Chad Johnson, and Trisha Paytas as to who they wanted to save from eviction, and unfortunately for the budding entrepreneur, he proved to be the least popular with viewers.
Speaking to host Emma Willis after leaving the house, Karthik said: “These moments come few and far between, unless I become a real celebrity after this. I might you never know. I thought OK, soak it in and enjoy the experience.”
And the star admitted he was “surprised” when he found himself up for eviction, particularly when fellow contestant Jordan Davies voted to put his fate in the hands of the public, as Karthik thought they were friends.
Asked if he was shocked that housemates had nominated him, he said: “A little surprised yes. Especially surprised with Jordan. I thought Jordan and I get along really well together. Surprised with Chad as well.”
The businessman also claimed he felt like an outsider whilst in the house, as he hasn’t “experienced the limelight” as much as some of the other celebrity contestants.
He said: “Perhaps these people have more in common with each other, having experienced what they have being in the limelight a lot more than I have.”
Karthik also told Emma he would like to see ‘Gogglebox’ star Sandi Bogle walk away from the infamous house as the winner, which would see her bag £50,000 for her chosen charity.

Luc Besson thinks Captain America is American propaganda

OHMYGOSSIP — Luc Besson thinks ‘Captain America’ is just American propaganda.
The 58-year-old French filmmaker recently helmed the poorly received ‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’ – starring Cara Delevingne and Dane DeHaan -, and has admitted he is getting tired of the superhero franchise and is “lost”.
Speaking to CinePOP, the filmmaker said: “I’m totally tired of it. I mean, it was great 10 years ago when we saw the first ‘Spider-Man’ and ‘Iron Man’.
“But now, it’s like number five, six, seven; the superhero is working with another superhero, but it’s not the same family. I’m lost.
“But what bothers me most is it’s always here to show the supremacy of America and how they are great.
“I mean, which country in the world would have the guts to call a film ‘Captain Brazil’ or ‘Captain France’?
“I mean, no one! We would be like so ashamed and say ‘no, no, come on, we can’t do that’. They can. They can call it ‘Captain America’ and everybody thinks it normal.
“I’m not here for propaganda, I’m here to tell a story.”
Despite his latest film being poorly received by fans and critics alike, the ‘Fifth Element’ filmmaker recently admitted he wants to make a sequel.
Asked if he’d make another ‘Valerian’ film, he said: “Yeah, I will sign tomorrow. I would love to. We had so much fun with Cara and Dane. I think the three of us will sign tomorrow if we can do another one or two.
“Because they’re cops, every film is an adventure. There’s a problem, there’s a killer, there’s something we have to discover the truth and you can do 20 films like this, it’s like ‘Starsky and Hutch’ in space.
“Every episode is a new trial. And you’re not linked by the first one, the link is just the two characters, so it could be totally different. It’s more difficult when you have something like ‘Spider-Man’ or ‘Transformers’, as it’s always the same kind of thing, and you can’t explode the thing. Here you can. You can do something totally different, which I like.”

James Cameron says Alien and Terminator sequels not as good as original

OHMYGOSSIP — James Cameron has admitted the subsequent ‘Alien’ and ‘Terminator’ movies were never as good as the original.
The 62-year-old filmmaker helmed the 1984 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie and the 1986 sequel to Sir Ridley Scott’s ‘Alien’ but he admitted these films set a standard and the following films weren’t as good.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph newspaper, the filmmaker said: “The subsequent ‘Alien’ films haven’t been as good as ‘Alien’ and Aliens’.
“They set a standard the other movies were judged against. That’s true of the ‘Terminator’ films as well.
“But it doesn’t diminish the original accomplishment in any way. If anything it makes the original seem better by comparison.
“That doesn’t mean I bet against the new films – I go ‘all right guys, let’s see the magic’. I’ve been disappointed.
“The problem is, I’m so damn analytical I can point out exactly what didn’t work. If I had 20 minutes with the filmmaker ahead of time, I might have been able to help.
“But that’s just not how this business works.”
Both franchises have spawned multiple following movies, with ‘Terminator’ having five follow ups. with a sixth in the making, and ‘Alien’ has four sequels and two prequels.
In the second instalment of the ‘Terminator’ franchise, the filmmaker decided to change the iconic character from the evil, killing-machine to a good cyborg and admitted Schwarzenegger was nervous about it.
He said: “I gave Arnold the script as we board the plane to Cannes Film Festival.
“It was still warm from the printer as I’d been scrambling to get it done for the deadline. The next morning he said to me ‘Jim – I don’t kill anybody’ I said, ‘yeah – it’s the big surprise. They’re never going to see it coming’.
“He responded ‘Jim – I’m the Terminator. I kick the door down, I shoot everybody. This is what I do’. He was really nervous about it.”

Mark Hamill reveals why Luke Skywalker went into exile

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Hamill has l revealed why his ‘Star Wars’ character Luke Skywalker went into exile.
The 65-year-old actor briefly reprised the role of the iconic Jedi in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ and is set to play a pivotal role in the next instalment ‘The Last Jedi’ this December, but the actor has revealed why his alter-ego was so riddled with “guilt.”
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Hamill said: “Luke made a huge mistake in thinking that his nephew was the chosen one, so he invested he had in Kylo, much like Obi-Wan did with my character.
“And he is betrayed, with tragic consequences. Luke feels responsible for that. That’s the primary obstacle he has to rejoining the world and his place in the Jedi hierarchy, you know?
“It’s that guilt, that feeling that it’s his fault, that he didn’t detect the darkness in him until it was too late.”
The actor, who starred in the original trilogy alongside Harrison Ford and the late Carrie Fisher, had a hard time when reading the script as to why his character wanted to end the Jedi.
He said: “When I first read it, my jaw dropped. What would make someone that alienated from his original convictions? That’s not something that you can just make up in an afternoon, and I really struggled with this thing.”
The returning cast includes John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), Dohmnall Gleeson (General Hux), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Andy Serkis (Snoke) and the late Fisher as General Leia, while Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran are all newcomers to the franchise.
‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ is slated to be released this December.

Matthew Morrison to star in Crazy Alien

OHMYGOSSIP — Matthew Morrison is attached to star in the Chinese film ‘Crazy Alien’.
The 38-year-old actor, who recently did an “awkward” sex scene with Cara Delevingne in upcoming movie ‘Tulip Fever’, is reportedly set to star in the third instalment of the black comedy trilogy, according to Deadline.
Morrison joins the cast alongside Tom Pelphrey, Kat Nelson and Shen Teng and Huang Bo, who will reprise his role in this film, having starred in the previous two.
Director Ning Hao previously released ‘Crazy Stone’ (2006) and ‘Crazy Rider’ (2009) as part of the feature franchise.
It is not yet known what twist the third instalment will take but it’s expected to follow in the footsteps of the previous movies.
It is understood that production has already started in Qingdao and although the movie is Chinese, Morrison will speak in English with his lines subtitled in Chinese.
Morrison shot to fame as part of US musical TV show ‘Glee’, in which he played Spanish teacher Will Schuester – a show which also proved popular in China.
Ning explained: “We are expanding the potential audience for Chinese films. This time, we are collaborating with extraordinary Hollywood actors. I believe that all these amazing talents will inspire each other to put on a great performance.”
Morrison also starred in Harvey Weinstein’s ‘Finding Neverland’ which was a hit on Broadway.
Speaking about doing sex scenes, Morrison admitted they felt “weird.”
He said: “Yes, urm, they are just the weirdest things to film. I’m doing a movie that’s coming out later this year called ‘Tulip Fever’ with Dame Judi Dench and I had a sex scene in there with Cara Delevingne and it’s always strange, yeah (awkward). They’re very choreographed and there’s people and you’re in no clothes. It’s weird.”
Huanxi Media and Dirty Monkey are producing ‘Crazy Alien’ and the film is expected to be released in China on February 5, 2019.

Kate Beckinsale had no interest in playing Wonder Woman

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Beckinsale never wanted to play Wonder Woman.
The 44-year-old ‘Underworld’ actress was often named in the mix for the titular role back in the early 2000s after Warner Bros. Studios tried to bring the Amazonian hero to the big screen, but Beckinsale never liked any of the scripts.
Speaking to Yahoo! Movies, she said: “But the incarnations of the ‘Wonder Woman’ movie that I was seeing were not this one. I don’t know if I was desperate to be in a leotard. I’d already done the rubber trousers. You have to take in that you have a child at some point and how much could you possibly embarrass them.”
The role went to Gal Gadot, who stunned fans as the whip-slinging hero in the 2017 hit Patty Jenkins movie and a sequel is already said to be in the works.
Speaking about the DC Extended Universe franchise and what can be expected in ‘Wonder Woman 2’ to Variety, the producer John Berg said: “Patty and I are writing the treatment right now. The goal is to make another great ‘Wonder Woman’ film. I had a blast making it with Patty the first time. We’ve got a cool idea for the second one.”
And Berg – who oversees the DC film universe for Warner Bros – has hailed ‘Wonder Woman’ as a “fun movie”, that is “positive and optimistic”.
He said: “It’s a fun movie. It’s positive and optimistic. The early films may have been too dark in parts.”
And the creative masterminds have hinted they have a “lot of plans” for the female protagonists in future projects, and although Gal is set to reprise her role later this year in ‘Justice League’, her character “won’t change” in it as she already boasts a “big role” in the upcoming movie.

Kate Winslet amazed by ‘easygoing’ Justin Timberlake

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Winslet was amazed by how “easygoing” Justin Timberlake was on the set of ‘Wonder Wheel’.
The 41-year-old actress starred alongside the singer and actor in the Woody Allen movie and gushed about how much of a “wonderful” person Justin is.
She told Entertainment Weekly: “He’s such a wonderful person. I would turn to him and say, ‘Do you know what, Justin Timberlake? The best thing about you being in this film is that you’re really not “Justin Timberlake”.
“If you had really been “Justin Timberlake” it could have been a complete nightmare, but really you’re not “Justin Timberlake” at all, you’re just some guy named Justin. He’s totally unvain, he has an absolutely infuriating ability to learn lines fast, and he’s an all around great person – humble, fun, hard-working, easygoing, no ego. Such a joy, really.”
Meanwhile, Kate previously opened up about the struggles of Hollywood, revealing she was once told she would have to settle for “fat girl parts” when she first embarked on her acting career.
She said: “I got bullied at school, they called me ‘blubber’, they teased me for wanting to act, they locked me in the cupboard, laughed at me. I wasn’t the prettiest, I’ve always had big feet, and I was even told that I might be lucky in my acting if I was happy to settle for the fat girl parts. And they would say, ‘You’re just not what we’re looking for Kate,’ I’d hear that a lot.
“I didn’t have the perfect body and I would rarely hear anything positive so I began to feel uncomfortable in my own skin. It made it hard, I wanted to give up. ‘Maybe I should rethink this acting thing,’ I said to myself but it was my passion and it made me happy!”

Oscar Isaac teases Carrie Fisher’s role in Star Wars: The Last Jedi

OHMYGOSSIP — Princess Leia will act as a guiding light for Poe Dameron in ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’.
Actress Carrie Fisher – who passed away in December last year – will maker her last-ever appearance as the iconic character in the much-anticipated new movie and her co-star Oscar Isaac, who plays the part of Poe, has teased her role in the film.
He shared: “Poe is in some ways a surrogate son for Leia. But also I think she sees in him the potential for a truly great leader of the Resistance and beyond.”
Oscar, 38, said his character will evolve through the course of the new movie and Princess Leia will play a central role in the commander’s transformation.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly magazine, he explained: “Poe’s arc is one of evolving from a heroic soldier to a seasoned leader, to see beyond the single-mindedness of winning the battle to the larger picture of the future of the galaxy.
“I think Leia knows she won’t be around forever and she, with tough love, wants to push Poe to be more than the badass pilot, to temper his heroic impulses with wisdom and clarity.”
Meanwhile, director Rian Johnson has revealed Princess Leia’s role in the movie hasn’t been changed since Carrie’s death.
He said: “There’s no way that we could’ve known this would’ve been the last ‘Star Wars’ movie she would be in, so it’s not like we made the film thinking that we were bringing closure to the character.
“But watching the film, there’s going to be a very emotional reaction to what she does in this movie.”

Jeremy McConnell handed 12-month suspended sentence

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy McConnell has been handed a 12-month suspended sentence.
The Irish hunk will have to serve 20 weeks in prison in a year’s time, carry out a Building Better Relationships course with the Probation Service, spend 15 days in rehab, complete 200 hours of unpaid work and cough up legal fees after he was found guilty of assaulting his now-ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis in court earlier this week.
Judge Lloyd – who said she found it bizarre that Jeremy had described his behaviour in the trial as reasonable – said the 28-year-old star would have to pay £1,000 to the prosecution as well as £1,000 to Stephanie in compensation within 28 days.
Jeremy has also been banned from seeing or speaking to the former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress for three years and any contact regarding their seven-month-old son Caben Albi would have to be made via social services, solicitors or the family court.
Earlier this week, Stephanie appeared in court in Liverpool to give her version of events regarding a vicious scrap that broke out between them at her home on March 9.
The 24-year-old star broke down in tears in the witness stand as she recalled how Jeremy threw her around like a “rag doll” because he thought she was having an affair with her pregnant best friend and a fireman from across the road.
She said: “He was convinced I was having a lesbian affair with my pregnant friend, and the fireman across the road. He gets jealous. He was calling me a s**g, that I was fat and that no-one would ever want to touch me again.
“He put his thumb into the side of my gums, and that’s when I really started to panic. He was having, what I know and what Jeremy knows as, psychotic episodes.
“He took my phone off me, and I was trying to get it off him and he was ragging me everywhere. He bit the inside of my arm.”
Jeremy was expected to be sentenced on Monday (07.08.17) but it was delayed because the Probation Services in Dublin, Ireland, were unreachable.

Amber Dowding is rushed to hospital

OHMYGOSSIP — Amber Dowding has been rushed to hospital.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star was in Marbella, Spain, filming for the summer special of the ITVBe show, which will air this month, when she fell violently ill after catching a sickness bug following her romantic holiday in Antigua with her boyfriend Chris Clark.
A source told The Sun Online: “Amber and Chris recently came back from Antigua but Amber had been really suffering and struggling to keep anything down.
“Production rushed her to hospital after seeing the state she was in during filming in Marbella and she was hospitalised for a few days, which was really worrying for Chris.
“Thankfully she’s on the mend now but is having to take tablets everyday to keep the sickness at bay.”
The blonde beauty hasn’t had much luck recently as she was left “shaking” last month after £900 was “stolen from her handbag” at her birthday party.
The alleged incident took place at the Café De Paris nightclub in London at the beginning of July where the 24-year-old star was seeing in her latest milestone.
A source close to the star said previously: “Amber is in floods of tears and is devastated that someone would have taken that money from her. Last night was supposed to be a fun night out with friends and it’s ended in an awful way.
“Amber can’t stop shaking and it’s worse because her boyfriend Chris Clark is away at the moment.”
Amber took to her Twitter account shortly afterwards to admit she was feeling “so emotional” following the unsavoury incident.
In a series of tweets, she wrote: “Feeling so emotional today “Don’t know how people sleep at night with such a guilty conscience.. (sic)”
The cash was said to have been given to Amber by a Café De Paris promoter and one pal claimed nothing else was taken from her bag except for an envelope with the money inside.
