OHMYGOSSIP — James ‘Arg’ Argent feels “very lucky” that he’s still being approached for major television shows after he completed his stint in rehab in Thailand earlier this year.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star spent three months in a facility abroad over the festive season last year in a bid to curb his wild ways and has admitted he’s so grateful to the likes of E4, ITV and Lime Pictures for believing in him and keeping the work open for him.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Thursday (31.08.17), he said: “I am in a good place. I’m very lucky to be sitting here on this sofa and thank you guys for welcoming me and I do appreciate Lime Pictures and E4 and ITV for showing a lot of support and to come back from Thailand and be given a big job – a big show – straight away, they obviously value me and see the trust in me so I’m going to try and reward everyone by delivering and making it [his forthcoming show ‘Celebs Go Dating’] a good show.”
The 29-year-old star checked into rehab after his relationship with his on/off girlfriend Lydia Bright broke down and, although they’ve both moved on, they’re still good friends.
He explained: “We’re friends. I saw her at V Festival the other weekend and we spent a bit of time together. We got on really well – it was nice to have a catch up and stuff but we are just friends. As far as I’m concerned, I’m just concentrating on myself and going on dates and meeting new people so no we’re not going to get back together.”
While he was away, Arg – who has battled with his weight over the years – managed to slim down and is adamant he’s now changed his mindset when it comes to food.
He said: “People may think that I’m restricting or starving myself but the truth is I’m still eating a lot but I’m just eating the right stuff now.”
And, now that he has a positive outlook, he’s keen to find love and is enjoying dating.
He added: “I do like to busk a few lyrics. Sometimes singing cringes people out. I just try and be myself and be charming. Even if the women I’m going on a date with don’t fancy me, I want them to come away and be like: ‘Well he was a nice guy.’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins wants to have a gastric band fitted.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star is planning to undergo the weight loss surgery, which involves putting an adjustable ring around the top of your stomach to prevent overeating, in the near future in order to fulfill her dreams of having a family of her own.
A source told Now magazine: “Gemma knows she’s run out of excuses. She’s determined to get control over her weight and face up to the reality that she’s big because she eats too much.
“Gemma feels she won’t find love if she doesn’t do something drastic and thinks her only option is a gastric band. She knows she’s not getting any younger and has been told she could develop fertility problems due to her weight.”
However, although she’s keen to beat the bulge, the 36-year-old blonde doesn’t want to lose too much weight as she wants to be an ambassador for the larger ladies.
The insider explained: “She’s not turning her back on the bigger women. Her happiness is at risk and she has to do something about it – now!”
Gemma – whose weight has fluctuated over the years – has made no secret of the fact she’s battled with overeating in the past and recently admitted that her wake up call came in 2015 when her mother Joan was forced to rely on a wheelchair.
She said previously: “I’ve seen the health of my mum deteriorate. It scares me about my future. I have to get my weight down or I’ll end up in a wheelchair, too.”
Last year, Gemma revealed that she’d suffered a miscarriage in 2012 and believes it was punishment for aborting her baby previously.
She said at the time: “I do feel guilty. What if I can never have a baby now? The miscarriage feels like God’s way of punishing me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Marnie Simpson thinks her friend Charlotte Crosby keeps dumping her boyfriend Stephen Bear on social media because she wants to get him back for hurting her.
The ‘Geordie Shore’ star hasn’t seen her close friend for a while because she’s been busy filming ‘Single AF’ abroad so she doesn’t know for sure what’s going on between the turbulent couple, but she doesn’t think their rows are anything serious and they’re merely airing their dirty laundry in public because they want to cause the most harm.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Marnie – who went through a similar situation with her ex-boyfriend Lewis Bloor earlier this year – explained: “When I was with Lewis I always used to lash out in anger and get him back through social media. It’s the worst thing you can do. I just think they’re having a normal argument like every couple does. Charlotte is quite an impulsive person like me. I’m exactly the same.”
But the 25-year-old beauty is convinced Charlotte and Bear – who have only been dating since the beginning of the year – will get back together eventually.
She explained: “When you’re angry you just want to get at them. Charlotte is still young. We still act out. I’m so guilty of doing it in the past and I always regretted it. If I’m angry at my boyfriend I delete every single picture off me Instagram – but then I’m like why did I do that? So embarrassing. I totally relate to her. I don’t think there’s anything serious going on I think they’re just having a little tiff everyone has.”
Meanwhile, Stephen – who is also known by his nickname Bear – has agreed to give his relationship with the blonde beauty another go but only if she sticks to the “rules” of not talking about her ex-boyfriend Gary ‘Gaz’ Beadle in public and in private.
An insider said: “Bear and Charlotte are back together – everyone knew they would be. Part of the reason they’re back together is that Charlotte’s agreed not to speak about her ex, Gaz, either on TV or in private.
“Bear gets SO jealous and has real issues about Charlotte’s exes. It makes him insecure every time Gaz is bought up, despite the fact Gaz and Charlotte have moved on and she’d never do anything to hurt Bear.”
The turbulent couple came to blows last week after the 27-year-old star broke down in tears during an interview on Irish television after she was asked how she felt about Gaz – who she dated for five years – having a baby with his girlfriend Emma McVey.
Her emotional breakdown led to the 27-year-old hunk dumping her online
– without telling her first – while he was in Las Vegas with his friend for a boxing fight.

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Keegan is reportedly keen to do some more soap work.
The 30-year-old actress turned her back on ‘Coronation Street’ in 2014 in order to try her hand at dramas, but it’s believed, after spending three months in South Africa shooting the next series of ‘Our Girl’, she’s keen to land a role on ‘EastEnders’.
A source told Closer magazine: “Michelle loves doing big TV dramas, but she misses the familiarity of being on a soap and having something more sustainable. She loves getting her teeth into a role, which can develop over time.
“The ‘EastEnders’ set isn’t too far away from Essex [where she lives] and after recently spending three months away filming ‘Our Girl’ in South Africa, she wants something where she doesn’t have to travel too far.”
However, the brunette beauty’s husband Mark Wright isn’t too keen on her joining the BBC One soap as it’ll mean she’ll be working with his arch-enemy Danny Dyer.
The insider explained: “Mark was a bit put out Michelle was even considering it and said he’d find it a bit hard to swallow if she took the role working alongside Danny.
But Michelle doesn’t want to turn down a potentially good role because of a “spat.”
The source added: “Michelle understands why Mark wouldn’t like her working alongside Danny after the past fallout, but she insisted her agent set it up and told him she won’t turn down potentially great roles because of a silly spat.”
Mark fell out with Danny – who plays pub landlord Mick Carter in the soap – last year after a group of the his friends allegedly attacked the 40-year-old actor at V Festival after his daughter Danni called the former ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star a “****.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Scherzinger has promised ‘The X Factor’ bosses that she’ll strip naked if they make sure she gets the best property and location for the Judges’ Houses round.
The 39-year-old singer – who isn’t afraid to flash the flesh with her skimpy attires – is planning to bribe the producers of the series by assuring them she’ll whip off her clothes and whiz in on a jet ski if they give her the biggest and most lavish abode.
Speaking at the launch of the upcoming 14th season of the ITV show, the former Pussycat Dolls beauty said: “I’ll come in naked on a jet ski. Louis [Walsh], are you going to come in naked on a jet ski? Cause I’m going. The only conflict is if he has a better judges’ homes and whatever he has I want that one.”
The new series of the singing show will kick off this weekend and Nicole’s co-judge Louis Walsh has promised this year’s instalment will be better than ever.
He explained: “I think we’ve got better talent this year than for many years, actually. It’s so much better than last year – I think there’s talent in every category. There are some great personalities. We’ve found more talented people with more originality.”
“I’m in it to win it this year! I’ve got an edge to me. I’m looking forward to winning! I’ve got a really good category, I’ve picked some really good people.
“It’s going to be a different Louis this year. I’ve got great talent and I’m going to get the best out of them. I’m going to show them. Nicole is not going to win this year, she can go back to America! Listen, this is my year.”
Louis and Nicole will be joined by Sharon Osbourne and Simon Cowell on the judging panel when the auditions kick off at 8pm on Saturday (02.09.17) on ITV.

OHMYGOSSIP — John Thomson has become reliant on yoga.
The ‘Cold Feet’ star had problems with addiction and suicidal thoughts in the past, but transformed his “colourful” life and left his “rock and roll” days behind him when he took up the Hindu-inspired discipline often used get fit and relax.
He told The Daily Mirror newspaper: “I was 27 when I started this. I was wild. I needed to be tamed. Maturity’s something I very much embrace, but I’m not shutting the door on the past. I had a brilliant time. I can hold my head up and go, ‘I’m rock and roll’. I’ve had a colourful life. I’ve not just ticked along, job to job. And now I do yoga and healthy living.”
Last year ‘Cold Feet’ was given a reboot and the 48-year-old star says he and the rest of his cast mates are having just as much fun, but are now “wiser” than ever.
He explained: “I think we’re all wiser in some respects. Doing this is as much fun as before, but different.”
John previously admitted his career plummeted when the award-winning sitcom was taken off air in 2003 but, despite his “dark thoughts”, he talked himself out of ending his life because of his children and he had too much to lose.
Asked whether he had ever contemplated suicide during his lowest point, he said: “There’s a force in me that won’t allow me to go that low. Too much to lose.
“Maybe before children, possibly, but not now. Not now. You contemplate. I’ve had thoughts. I’ve had dark thoughts, but never considered carrying them out.
“I could toy with the idea of it and how to do it, but not carry it out, because I’ve got something in me, call it spirit, a guardian angel.”
After ‘Cold Feet’ was axed, John struggled for 10 years to find TV work, but says his voiceover work was a “life saver”.
He explained: “I was four years sober and word still hadn’t had got round the industry that I was “redeemed”.
“[Voiceovers] were my life-savers, really. Doing a commercial’s voiceover is like having a Christmas number one.”
Things turned around for John last year when ‘Cold Feet’ was given a reboot and he has since been able to draw on his own experience with depression to help play his alter-ego Pete Gifford’s battle.
He said: “I drew on my experience. That’s the thing, though – as an actor it’s best to have an interesting life because it gives you something to draw on. If you just tick along all day, you don’t have much to draw on. I’m grateful I’m rock ‘n’ roll, really.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Emmerdale’s Lucy Pargeter has returned to work.
The 40-year-old actress – who is known for playing Chas Dingle in the long-running soap – has been on maternity leave for the past eight months while she gave birth to her twins Missy and Betsy but, now that the girls are five months old, she has agreed to reprise her role in the show and return to set to today (31.08.17) to work on storylines.
Taking to her Twitter account last night (31.08.17), she said: “Big day tomorrow my beautiful#twirls turn 5 months and I go back to work !! Huge mix of emotions I’m going to miss them so much #workingmum (sic).”
The brunette beauty has stayed out of limelight since welcoming the little ones into the world but admitted shortly after their birth that their delivery didn’t go according to plan.
She said at the time: “There was a moment when they weren’t breathing.
“They got handed over to the medical team straight away after they were born and they were manipulated to make sure their airways were clear.
“It was a planned Caesarean as the girls were both breech. I got to 37 weeks – which is when they usually want to take out twins.
“I wanted to watch the whole thing but they put a screen up when you’re having a C-section and it couldn’t be lowered quite enough for me to see.
“In some hospitals there are mirrors on the ceiling so you can see what’s going on, but that wasn’t the case in mine. I was gutted I didn’t get to watch them being born.”
Last year Lucy – who also has 12-year-old daughter Lola with her partner Rudi Coleano – revealed she used to sneak off in her lunch break and give herself secret injections in a bid to increase her chances of falling pregnant.
She said: “If you go to your employer and say I’m having IVF, then of course they think well, ‘If it works, in nine months time, you’re going to be off.’
“So you don’t really want to give somebody the indication that you might be off in nine months because it affects storylines and everything.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Clarkson has been demolishing 10 packets of anti-smoking chewing gum a day.
The ‘Grand Tour’ presenter decided to give up his chain-smoking habit, which saw him puff on 40 cigarettes a day, earlier this month after he was rushed to hospital with severe pneumonia while holidaying in Majorca, Spain, with his family.
But it looks like he’s having a tough time staying on the straight and narrow as he took to his Instagram account yesterday (30.08.17) to share a photograph of 10 empty packets of the gum, which is used as an aid in nicotine replacement therapy (NRT).
He accompanied the shot with the caption: “Busy day.”
But it’s no wonder Jeremy has turned to chewing to help keep him occupied as he recently admitted he considered suicide while in hospital because he was so bored.
He said: “I’m sure many of you will have found yourself in hospital, not having planned to be there. But for me it was a new experience. And a weird one. Because I was in a room with nothing on the walls except wallpaper, and most of that was coming off. And I was in there for an hour, on my own, with absolutely nothing to do. The boredom was so bad I thought often about killing myself.”
Meanwhile, Jeremy’s battle with the lung condition has meant he will be out of action for “some time” while he recovers from the infection and bosses of the motoring show are on a desperate hunt to find a temporarily replacement host to help film the series.
Amazon Prime – the video streaming site that airs the series – have posted an advert online in a bid to find someone who can step into Jeremy’s shoes for a while.
The ad read: “Amazon Prime Video is seeking a host for an original TV series to be seen around the world. Currently, this is a temporary position to cover an absence due to pneumonia. The successful applicant will join a long-established team of variously sized co-hosts and possess a strong knowledge of cards, metaphors and progressive rock music. The host will have a proven track record in effectively dealing with colleagues that they find annoying and being lost in unknown locations.
“They must be entertaining, engaging and willing to pause before delivering the final words or words of some sentences.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary ‘Gaz’ Beadle’s co-stars think he should quit ‘Geordie Shore’.
The 29-year-old heartthrob has been a permanent fixture on the boozy MTV show since it first hit television screens in 2011 but his future is currently up in the air after he revealed he and his girlfriend Emma McVey are expecting their first child together.
And, although nothing has been confirmed as of yet, his friends Marnie Simpson and Nathan Henry think it’s wise for him to walk away from the series because it’s not fair on his partner to see him partying up a storm while she’s at home caring for their child.
Marnie, 25, told The Sun newspaper: “You can’t really be on ‘Geordie Shore’ – it’s not fair on Emma. I understand why he’d leave. He hasn’t actually confirmed. We didn’t know it was going on because him and Emma weren’t going out in the series.”
Nathan, 26, added: “We don’t know what Gaz is doing yet.
“It would make sense for him to leave because he’s always wanted to be a dad. If he does go it’ll be sad. He’s the veteran – he’s the dad of the group.”
Although his co-stars are keen for him to leave, bosses of the MTV programme are desperate for him to stay as they can’t see the show without him.
The insider said previously: “They have offered him the opportunity to make guest appearances in series 16 – who knows whether he will or not – but producers are frantically trying to keep him on the show somehow.
“As far as everyone is concerned it won’t be ‘Geordie Shore’ without him.”

OHMYGOSSIP — James ‘Arg’ Argent is planning to get a nose job.
The 29-year-old year reality star believes his nose has become a more prominent feature since he lost weight during a ten-week stint in rehab in Thailand earlier this year and Arg is, therefore, set to go under the knife.
He shared: “At school my nickname was always ‘Nostrils’ because my nostrils are huge – I’ve literally never seen anyone with bigger nostrils than me!
“I’ve always known I’ve had a big nose, but where I’ve been so up and down with my weight for so many years, my nose didn’t stand out as much, but now I’ve lost four stone my features show a lot more and I’ve got this large bump and nostrils that are even more prominent.”
The ‘Only Way Is Essex’ star admitted he’ll feel more confident in his appearance once he has the issue addressed by a surgeon.
Speaking to The Sun Online, Arg explained: “I think if I have the bump removed and the nostrils made smaller it will make me feel a lot more confident and be another step into helping me better myself since leaving rehab – and I’m not gonna lie, better looking and more attractive.
“I want to feel better when I take selfies as there are some I don’t upload because I’m unhappy with my nose, and yeah of course it would be great if it helped meet more women too!”
“I spent three months doing ‘Celebs Go Dating’ and my confidence with women is really improving, so if I can change this part of me that I don’t feel confident about, I think that will make dating a lot easier.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Calum Best doesn’t want to just “settle” for any girl.
The 36-year-old hunk – who is the son of the late professional footballer George Best and his wife Angie – has signed up to find love on ‘Celebs Go Dating’, and although the tattooed lothario is looking to find a “serious” relationship he doesn’t want to be stuck with a partner who is anything less than “amazing”.
Speaking to New! magazine, he said: “I’m at an age where I’m thinking about being serious. That’s why I’m doing the show. I don’t want to sound big headed but I don’t want to settle. I look at my mum and dad, and my dad found the most amazing person in the world and I want that too.”
Although the reality star has tried to find love on online dating sites, he has admitted it wasn’t the most successful way to find his lifelong companion.
He explained: “I did and had a great time messaging people. Bet it can get you in trouble.”
And Calum has no qualms about getting hot under the bed sheets on a first date.
When asked about his thoughts on getting intimate on day one, he said: “No, if there’s that passion then you go with the flow.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Alesha Dixon is “sick with worry” after her brother was hospitalised following a car crash which killed his best friend.
The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge’s sibling John Lonergan, 30, is “lucky to be alive” after he was a passenger in a Ford Ka which ploughed into trees in Welwyn, Hertfordshire, south east England, on Sunday (27.08.17) resulting in the death of the driver, his pal James Bartell, 29.
A source close to Alesha, 38, told The Sun newspaper: “She is sick with worry about her brother John.
“He is badly injured but is lucky to be alive. He has several broken ribs and a broken collar bone.”
John is said to be in a serious but stable condition and is expected to remain in hospital for “some time”.
The source added: “Although he will hopefully make a full recovery, he will have to come to terms with the death of his friend.
“It’s expected he will be in hospital for some time.”
John has been left “devastated” following the tragic incident and it is not yet known exactly what happened.
A family friend said: “It was a straight road so it’s baffling how they crashed.
“I don’t know if something ran out on to the road and they had to swerve. We just don’t know.
“The car somehow lost control.
“It was an open road and it was day time, so it’s just puzzling. They were good friends, they would spend a lot of time together. John is devastated.”
James had a young son and daughter with his partner Anna-Marie Kelly, 32.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash and have appealed for witnesses.
PC Jackie Lister said in a statement: “I am conscious that many drivers these days have dash cams fitted to their vehicles and may have captured the vehicle being driven immediately prior to the collision. If anyone has footage, this may prove useful to the investigation.
“Please contact me on Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101 so that I can review it.”
