OHMYGOSSIP — James ‘Arg’ Argent wants to date a “normal girl”.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star is on a mission to find love again following his split from his on/off girlfriend Lydia Bright last year but, despite him being in the public eye, he’s keen to settle down with someone who isn’t interested in the limelight.
Speaking to the Mirror Online, he explained: “I’ve never really gone for a celebrity to be honest with you, I’ve never really gone after girls in the industry. I wouldn’t rule it out but I think nine times out of 10 I just go for normal girls. I’m not really one to get in a celebrity relationship or chase celebrities, and if the right girl comes along she comes along.”
Although he’s hoping the right girl will come along when the time is right, the 29-year-old wannabe singer agreed to take part in ‘Celebs Go Dating, which sees him paired up with ordinary people, because he was hoping it would teach him about himself.
He said: “History suggests that I go for blondes but after doing this [show] I’ve realised I don’t have a type. I think I just like a naturally pretty girl, a girl who’s not too glamorous, someone who is funny and down-to-Earth with good banter.”
As for his dream date, the reality TV star revealed he’d rather keep things low key than go for something over the top or too extravagant.
He said: “I think the ideal thing for me to do would be to go for some food, maybe do some fun activity or go to the theatre. I’m quite a down to earth person so I think my perfect date would be a take away curry and watching a movie indoors.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Michaela Strachan and Chris Packham will reunite for a one-off online wildlife show.
The ‘Really Wild Show’ presenters – who regularly host ‘Springwatch’ together but haven’t fronted the CBBC series since it was axed in 2006 – have agreed to head to New Zealand for a an exciting one-off special called ‘The Kiwi Wild Show’.
The programme will follow the blonde beauty as she works alongside the charity organisation Kiwis For Kiwi, which aims to preserve and protect the species in New Zealand, to help raise awareness of the endangered kiwi bird.
She said: “It’s very exciting to co-host the ‘Kiwi Wild Show’ with Chris as it’s an incredible opportunity to highlight the amazing work that the charity, Kiwis for Kiwi does to rescue and protect this endangered, quirky, lovable bird. It’s a fact that without help, the kiwi could become extinct in our lifetime and we simply can’t let that happen. We have the chance to act now, and make sure the kiwi isn’t resigned to the history books.”
Viewers will also get to watch Michaela as she follows the Operation Nest Egg – an egg rescue mission to deliver eggs to an incubation centre.
Once the eggs hatch, the baby birds are then released into a crèche to grow stronger until they reach adult size and strong enough to be released back into the wild.
Conservation crusader Chris explained: “Upon learning we’ve lost 99 per cent of the population of this intelligent and adventurous bird in just 80 years, made me realise it’s a race against time to protect these astonishing birds. Who wants to live in a world without the kiwi bird? Not me, that’s for sure.
“‘The Kiwi Wild Show’ offers a platform to educate everyone, from all over the world on how one of the most unusual birds on this planet is on the brink of extinction and what’s more, how we can all take small steps to help preserve these wonderful creatures.”
‘The Kiwi Wild Show’ will be filmed on Friday September 15.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kirsty Gallacher has been banned from driving for two years.
The ‘Sky Sports News’ presenter has had her licence suspended for 24 months and ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid community work after she pleaded guilty to drink-driving at East Berkshire Magistrates’ Court in Slough today (04.09.17).
The 41-year-old beauty was stopped by police last month after she was caught driving erratically in Eton, Berkshire, and was later arrested when she blew almost three times over the legal limit on breathalyser test following a night of boozing the day before.
Although Kirsty only appeared in the dock to enter her plea and confirm her name and address, probation officer Jasvir Kaur Bhatti – who put together a pre-sentencing report containing information on the offender which will depict the likelihood of her re-offending in order to determine the most suitable sentence – claimed the presenter had no idea she was over the limit and doesn’t drink regularly.
He told the court: ”There was no intention to drive while over the limit. She did not realise she was over the next day. She does not have a drink problem. She works long hours and drives a lot so she does not usually drink.”
He also said her divorce from her husband Paul Sampson had caused her stress and she was extremely apologetic for her illegal behaviour behind the wheel.
He added: “There are divorce proceedings going on at the moment which are stressful. She is very remorseful and apologises.”
Jennifer Dempster, mitigating, had also explained that Kirsty had taken a taxi home following her night of boozing and had gone to pick her car up the next morning.
She explained: “This is of course the morning after drinking, and it is a topic which is a hot one at present. This is in many senses unintentional drink-driving. What this defendant did was exactly right until 11:00 BST the next morning.”
Kirsty was told her driving ban could be reduced by six months if she agrees to take part in a driving safety course at a later date.

OHMYGOSSIP — Pete Wicks will always be his girlfriend Megan McKenna’s “number one fan.”
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star – who has just rekindled his romance with the brunette beauty after they split last year following a series of rows stemming from infidelity claims – has admitted he’s “so proud” of his partner for chasing her dreams after her new show ‘There’s Something About Megan’ aired on ITVBe last night (03.09.17).
Taking to his Instagram account, he wrote: “I couldn’t be more proud of Megan for following her dreams and showing people the real Megan Mckenna. I’ll always be your number 1 fan (sic),” followed by a heart emoji and a kiss face emoticon.
The first episode of her reality TV show, which shows the star attempt to carve out a country music career in Nashville, Tennessee, proved a huge hit with fans as they couldn’t believe how good Megan’s singing voice is.
But, despite her talent, the 24-year-old babe is adamant she won’t be turning her back on ‘TOWIE’ just yet because she likes being in front of the camera.
She said recently: “I love being on TV I’m not gonna lie. I love it, I love doing it and I feel like I’m quite good at reality – I never thought I would be.
“‘TOWIE’ is right for me now. I feel like in my career it’s given me such an amazing stepping stone from getting out of that ‘mental Meg’ stage and people seeing the real me. This is like my life, why wouldn’t they follow me. Essex is where I’ve grown up.”
But, although she’s determined to stay on screens for the foreseeable future, the brunette beauty is keen to juggle it with her passion for music.
She explained: “I want to be a singer and I will be a singer. I’ve had a lot of knockbacks and I’ve never ever given up.
“I’ve made more time music. I’ve always had it there while I’m doing the TV. But it’s always been a part of my life, I’m just gonna juggle it. I was in Nashville for a month, I’ve come back, done ‘TOWIE’ and then I’ll have a few months off from ‘TOWIE’ and will hopefully be going on am amazing tour. I’ll definitely fit it in properly.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The BBC has nabbed the rights to a gripping French drama ‘Witness: A Frozen Death’.
The eight part mystery series – which was created by Hervé Hadmar and Marc Herpoux – will air on BBC Four later this year, as Lieutenant Sandra Winckler (Marie Dompnier) is investigating the discovery of the frozen bodies of 15 men on an abandoned bus.
She realises they have all been involved with Catherine Keemer (Audrey Fleurot), who disappeared three years ago.
Winckler tracks her down, and discovers that the woman has no memory of her own past, although she once gave birth to a child who is unaccounted for.
It might seem otherwise, but Winckler believes Keemer is innocent – and is now faced with solving the mystery of the deaths, as well as finding the child.
In a statement: Cassian Harrison, Channel Editor of BBC Four, said: “‘Witnesses: A Frozen Death’ will be the perfect mystery series for BBC Four viewers to delve into as the nights turn colder.
“It’s especially exciting to welcome Audrey Fleurot back to the channel, co-starring in what is sure to be our next big hit French drama.”
It will be the second series in the French TV mystery, and features a standalone case to grip viewers.
Meanwhile, BBC’s Head of Programme Acquisition Sue Deeks added: “‘Witnesses: A Frozen Death’ takes the most intriguing of opening mysteries and adds ingenious twist upon turn to keep us guessing until the very end.
“Its compelling mix of bold characters, sharp writing, atmospheric French setting and truly wonderful performances make this series the perfect new drama obsession for BBC Four viewers. ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will present the revamped ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The ‘This Morning’ double act – who fronted the original show together from 2006 until 2011 – have agreed to reprise their hosting roles when the skating series hits television screens early next year.
Speaking on the brunchtime show on Monday (04.09.17), Holly said: “Phil and I actually met rink side on ‘Dancing on Ice’. For us to be going back together and doing it as well is lovely because it feels like such a long time ago.”
And they’re not the only familiar faces making an appearance on the reboot as Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean – who coached the competitors on the original – will also be back.
But this time they’ll be nabbing two seats on the judging panel.
Jayne said: “Chris and I are going to be head judges this time so we’re excited. We’ve never been judges, we’ve always been the people creating the routines.”
Chris added: “I think we’re the most qualified virgin judges there are but having said that, we’ll be honest judges.
“We want to critique rather than criticise. I’m sure there will be other people to criticise.”
And, although the show the nation knows and loves will be back with a similar format, Phillip has admitted there are some “big changes” in the pipeline for the revamp.
He said: “There are some big changes – all for the better, I think – because it is the most dangerous show on the tele. It’s got its own home.”
Chris explained: “We’re going to have a whole new home, which we’re really excited about. It’s purpose built. The rink and the studio rink are side by side.”
But the forthcoming series may see more injuries on the ice, as the professionals will be coming up with their own routines – rather than being given choreography.
Jayne said: “the professional and the celebrity will do their own choreography.”
And, although the show will only roll around once a year, Chris has teased that the team will be doing a national tour when the series wraps up in the spring time.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘This Morning’ have got a new puppy.
The brunch-time show’s hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were left heartbroken in July when they were forced to bid farewell to their resident guide dog Luna so she can continue her training as an assistant for the disabled.
But bosses of the programme have decided to replace the beloved pup with a male goldador – a Labrador and Golden Retriever cross – and introduced the 12-week-old bundle of fluff to the viewers in Monday’s (04.09.17) show.
Phillip brought the chunky canine – who is the first male to work on the show – from his backstage pen as Holly squealed and ran towards him.
The silver fox said: “He’s bigger than I thought he was going to me.”
Holly added: “Oh my goodness, look at your big paws. You’re going to get so big. Our first boy! I think he’s really calm. He’s quite chilled.”
As the 55-year-old presenter struggled to hold him, he explained: “He’s a 12-week-old Labrador-Retriever cross. He’s going to have a very important job when he grows up. His mum is a Golden Retriever and his dad is a Labrador.
“He’s from the charity Goods For Good – they’ve trained dogs to assist people in need, such as disabled people and autistic children.
“He could also work in a hospital to help people with their recovery. He’s the first male puppy with a purpose we’ve had on ‘This Morning’.”
The presenters – who have just returned from their summer holiday – have asked viewers if they could come up with a name for their new four-legged friend and the pair will reveal the goldador’s moniker at the end of the show.
This is the third resident dog the show has had, as throughout the last series they Luna – a hypoallergenic Labradoodle – and the year before that they had her half-sister Clover.

OHMYGOSSIP — The new ‘This Morning’ puppy has been called Digby.
The adorable 12-week-old goldador – a Labrador and Golden Retriever cross – joined the show’s family today (04.09.17) as a replacement for the programme’s resident guide dog Luna, who will now continue her training as an assistant for the disabled elsewhere, and viewers chipped in via Twitter to choose the fluff ball’s name.

OHMYGOSSIP — Danniella Westbrook thinks she’s expecting twins.
The former ‘EastEnders’ actress is convinced she’s carrying two babies because she’s only five weeks pregnant and her bump is already “huge”, but she’s got to wait another four weeks until the doctors can confirm how many little ones she’s with.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Monday (04.09.17), she said: “I’m great actually, really good, fantastic. I don’t know if I’m having two because I’m huge. I’m only five weeks and I’m huge. It may well be twins but I don’t have a scan for another four/five weeks.”
The 43-year-old star – who has battled with drugs and alcohol addiction for most of her life – returned to taking cocaine after suffering a miscarriage in 2016 but, since going clean, she’s realised there’s more to life than snorting substances.
Danniella – who also has Kai, 20, and Jody, 14, with her ex-husband Kevin Jenkins – said: “Life is looking up, life is fun and it’s good. I’m just in a better place, I’m 43 – I did relapse after my marriage broke down and I’m a drug addict so that’s what I would go to, some people would pick up a bottle, some gamble, some people have other addictions but mine unfortunately was drugs and is drugs.
“As a drug addict I can never say never but for me, I know there’s a lot more to life than picking up that rubbish … For myself, for my own two children that I’ve got already, before anything.
“And for my mum, and everyone I’ve put everyone through enough. And I’m just sick to death of it, I’m sick to death of relapsing, people are sick to death of hearing about is as well, and I just think life is a blessing and you have to embrace that life.”
Danniella is expecting with her new boyfriend Alan Thomason, 34, and feels positive about this relationship because she believes he’s able to “tame” her.
She said: “He’s a real man’s man and he’s Spanish so he has those whole Spanish values and family-orientated and stuff like that. He just takes control and he does take care of me. He’s good fun as well so we’ve got a happy mix between everything, which is great. I think I’ve found the man that can actually tame me and make me do what’s right and I listen. I don’t actually argue back all the time I just sort of go ‘ok’.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Chloe Lewis has moved in with her boyfriend.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star only started dating her beau Danny Flasher earlier this year but it looks like their romance is going from strength-to-strength as the brunette beauty recently moved all her stuff into his lavish home in Essex.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper about their romance, she said: “Everything is great with Danny. We are loved-up and happy and I’m living with him now.”
And, although she’s still heavily involved in the ITVBe show, Chloe is glad her partner has no desire to join the programme because she’s convinced their relationship would crumble from pressure – just like her romance with her ex-boyfriend Jake Hall did.
She explained: “There are no plans for him to join TOWIE. I did ask him but he doesn’t want to. He doesn’t really like being in the limelight and he doesn’t chase fame – which I like. Of course I’d be scared of having another relationship on the show.
“‘The Only Way is Essex’ doesn’t have a great history when it comes to successful relationships but you never know, so never say never.”
Chloe dated Jake on and off for six years but, during their time on the show, their romance was plagued with blazing rows and cheating allegations.
They called it quits last year and Jake jumped into a relationship with ‘Real Housewives of Cheshire’ star Missé Beqiri shortly afterwards and they are now expecting a baby.
The 26-year-old fashion designer confirmed his happy news earlier this year when he uploaded a photograph of him kissing his partner’s baby bump on Instagram.
He wrote: “My world is complete… I can’t wait to meet you #boy or #girl (sic)”
Missé already has son Julian with her ex-husband Anders Lindegaard.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Joan Collins won’t reprise her role in the upcoming ‘Dynasty’ reboot.
The 84-year-old actress played evil Alexis Carrington in the popular US soap back in the 1980s and, although the show is set for a revival, the Daily Star newspaper has claimed that she’s unlikely to return as her iconic character – which earned her a Golden Globe award in 1982 for her performance – because she’s too old.
However, as of yet, the producers of the show, airing on The CW channel, have not cast anyone to play the character and taking their time to ensure they bag the right actress.
Executive producer Sallie Patrick said: “We’re taking our precious time.”
Meawhile, Joan believes she is low down on the list of older actresses that producers turn to and acknowledges that maintaining an acting career in her 80s is tough.
She recently said: “There are older-women parts, but quite frankly they’re going to go first of all to Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Helen Mirren, Meryl Streep or Susan Sarandon. There are 20 women they’re going to go through before they get to me.”
Joan also believes that parts for older actresses are few and far between, as movie studies continue to cater to a younger audience.
She explained: “Today, big-budget films are made by big businesses, and all of the companies have one motive in mind – to make money.
“Their audience is mostly young men between the ages of 12 and 28 and they want to see young, nubile girls.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sharon Osbourne fears TV talent shows can send contestants “over the edge”.
The ‘X Factor’ judge changed her outlook on the programmes a few years ago following a chance encounter with a vulnerable former ‘American Idol’ hopeful when she was being treated for depression.
And Sharon admitted seeing how badly affected the woman was by being “laughed” at on the show has made her think twice before she makes cutting comments to any of the auditionees.
She told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “I met this 28-year-old girl in the treatment centre who had auditioned for the first season of ‘American Idol’.
“She was overweight and a really bad singer and they used her little audition to promote the show.
“People were laughing. And then they used the clip over and over and it affected this girl so deeply that it basically changed the course of her life. She was used and it sent her over the edge…
“I never mentioned her to anyone, but it really made me think about the effect these shows can have on people. I honestly don’t want to be mean to anyone who isn’t strong enough to take it.”
‘X Factor’ boss Simon Cowell recently admitted Sharon is paid much more for doing the show than programme stalwart Louis Walsh, but the 64-year-old matriarch insisted that is simply because her friend is so happy to be on the programme.
She said: “But you see they give Louis a contract and he just signs it and says ‘Thank you very much.’
“Of course there are women earning more than men on TV – and actually the UK is much better with that side of things than the US.”
But the outspoken star admitted bosses on ‘America’s Got Talent’ – on which she was a judge from 2007 to 2012 – refused her request for a pay rise.
She said: “They just said no. But what am I? A dummy? No! Still they think: ‘She’s a woman, she’ll take what’s offered to her’.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Edmonds’ game show ‘Cheap Cheap Cheap’ is reportedly set to be axed.
A recent episode of the programme – which has failed to connect with viewers in the way the host’s other show ‘Deal or No Deal’ did – was watched by just 80,000 viewers, and it’s now thought producers at Channel 4 aren’t committed to bringing it back once its current first series comes to an end because of the plunge in ratings.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Channel 4 took a chance with this show but it hasn’t gone as well as expected. It was a strange concept and it seems viewers struggled to get on board. Bosses are now deciding whether it will continue after the current series. Meanwhile the team are hoping the figures don’t get any worse.”
However, representatives for ‘Cheap Cheap Cheap’ – which is Noel’s first hosting gig since ‘Deal or No Deal’ was cancelled by the broadcaster last year – have said it’s “too early” to make a decision on its future because it’s only half way through the first series.
A spokesperson explained: “It’s too early to say whether it will return.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lucie Jones has got married.
The former ‘X Factor’ star – who represented the UK in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest – has had a somewhat of a busy year as not only has her singing career rocketed but she’s just tied the knot with Ethan Boroian in a ceremony at St David’s Church, Miskin, in South Wales, in front of their close friends and family.
Speaking to HELLO! magazine, the brunette beauty said: “Ethan is everything I could ever have wanted in a man. I count my lucky stars I found him every single day.”
The 26-year-old star has admitted the service was so beautiful that she burst into tears when she saw her handsome beau standing at the end of the aisle.
She explained: “As soon as I saw Ethan, looking so dashing in his blue wedding suit, I started to well up. Then the male voice choir started to sing our song, God Only Knows by ‘The Beach Boys’, and an overwhelming feeling of intense emotion came over me.
“Suddenly, every precious memory of our time together came flooding back and I couldn’t stop the tears. I felt so elated and knew that marrying him was the best thing I would ever do.”
The couple met at the ‘X Factor’ boot camp stage in 2009 and, although they left the competition at different rounds, they remained in touch and went on their first date five years later.
Ethan decided almost immediately that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Lucie and began filming a romantic proposal video just six days into their relationship.
The sweet montage, which concluded by asking her to marry him, took 18 months to film and was shot in various locations including Paris, Henley on Thames and Chicago.

OHMYGOSSIP — Piers Morgan was in “agony” as he returned to ‘Good Morning Britain’ earlier this morning (04.09.17).
The outspoken TV host returned to the popular ITV show alongside Susanna Reid following their summer break, but Piers admitted he was still hurting after breaking three ribs in a nasty fall while on holiday.
Reflecting on his poor health, Piers said: “You’ve got to man up.
“I mean, I could have stayed in bed … But it’s all about rising to the challenge. So here I am in agony.”
During the show, Piers detailed how he suffered the painful injury, which he’s also documented on his Twitter account.
Recalling the unfortunate accident suffered on his holiday, he joked: “I was walking with two tennis rackets, two tennis ball tubes and two bananas.
“[You should have seen] the crime scene after it happened…
“I rocketed back and landed on my back and just lay there. The nurse at the hotel said ‘Don’t worry it’s just bruises’ so I carried on for two weeks.”
But after he returned home, Piers quickly realised the injury was more serious than had first been suggested.
He said: “I get back here [in Britain] and it’s three clean fractures.”
Piers previously told his Twitter followers of his intention to return to work alongside Susanna, despite suffering the injury.
He wrote on the micro-blogging website: “UPDATE: I return to @GMB on Monday, with @susannareid100 & 3 broken ribs. I’m manning up. (sic)”
