Daisy Campbell axed by Emmerdale

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Campbell has been axed from ‘Emmerdale’ after 13 years.
The 21-year-old actress was called into a meeting in May and left “in shock” when she was told the show would be saying goodbye to her character Amelia Spencer before Christmas, but she was eventually understanding that bosses had run out of storylines for her following the departures of her on-screen family, including Samson Dingle (Sam Hall), the father of her alter ego’s daughter Esther.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It wasn’t my choice to leave Emmerdale and it was a shock at first. Being in Emmerdale is all I have ever known. I’ve spent the whole of my childhood growing up in the soap and it felt daunting.
“Once they explained, I totally got it. Amelia isn’t part of the Dingles, her dad has left, Samson has gone now and she doesn’t have any family. There is nowhere to take Amelia and I understand that.
“I feel incredibly lucky to have been in the soap for 13 years and to have been handed so many opportunities at such a young age.”
Although she was told the news some time ago, Daisy has kept it quiet until now because she needed time to “grieve” and for two months, she only told her close friends and co-stars Rosie Bentham, Katie Hill, and Jack Downham.
She said: “They were upset for me but so supportive. I didn’t tell the rest of the cast my news initially as I wanted the time to process everything. I needed time to grieve the part of Amelia,.
“I had worried so much about how I was going to tell people I was going and now I know I shouldn’t have! They were all brilliant.”
And having processed the news, Daisy is “excited” about what the future holds.
She said: “Obviously it was a shock at first but now I have had time to digest it all, I am really excited. ‘Emmerdale’ has actually done me a favour because I would never have left if they hadn’t decided there was no longer anywhere to take Amelia.
“I am glad it was their choice and not mine. I see it as a big positive now because it is such a great chance to push myself, start a new chapter away from ‘Emmerdale’ and take on hopefully some new parts. I am really excited about what lies ahead.”
Exact details of her departure storyline are being kept secret but Daisy confirmed Amelia – who is currently in a relationship with evil Tom King (James Chase) – won’t be killed off.
She said: “I am pleased the door is being left open. But I can’t say too much about how she leaves.”

Penelope Cruz joins Johnny Depp in Day Drinker cast

OHMYGOSSIP — Penelope Cruz is to reunite with Johnny Depp on ‘Day Drinker’.
The Spanish actress has joined the cast of Marc Webb’s upcoming thriller, marking her fourth collaboration with the ‘Edward Scissorhands’ star following ‘Blow’, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ and ‘Murder on the Orient Express’.
The project was first announced in March, but with Sydney Sweeney reported to be starring with Johnny at the time.
The film – which will be the 61-year-old actor’s first major studio outing since his high-profile defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard in 2022 – is based on an original screenplay by Zach Dean and is set on a cruise ship, where a bartender meets a mysterious drinking, only for them to connect in unexpected ways when they get tangled in a criminal underworld.
Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group who are making the movie, said in a statement: “’Day Drinker’ combines a highly commercial concept with wildly outrageous twists and turns all set in an incredible world, and there is no better filmmaker than Marc or two more perfectly cast actors than Johnny and Penélope to bring that world to life.”
Penelope recently insisted she will always “be a student” of acting and is constantly “exploring and learning” within her profession.
Asked if turning 50 makes her feel different about life and work, she told Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “No. I just love acting. That’s the reason why I became an actress and why I’m still acting now, I love exploring and learning.
“I know that there are some things I’ll be able to do in 20 years that I can’t do now, so there will always be something new to learn.
“I’ll always be a student in my profession. That takes away a lot of fears.”

Matthew Lillard speaks out on potential return to Scream after his character was ‘killed off’

OHMYGOSSIP — Matthew Lillard would like to return to the ‘Scream’ franchise – even though his character was supposedly killed off.
The 54-year-old actor played the role of Stu in the first installment of the spoof horror franchise and plans to bring his character back to life were “justifiably” shelved following the Columbine High School massacre of 1999 but he still “dreams” that one day he could return.
He told MovieWeb: “On ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’, I said that was Stu was still alive. I don’t know anyone who has ever said ‘I don’t want any part in this franchise ever again!’ There’s a world in which he is alive. In the third sequel, he was running kids from prison and having kids do horrible things, and the reason that didn’t happen was because Columbine High School happened right before we went into production and, justifiably so, they changed the story of it all.
“So there’s a world in which Kevin [Williamson, screenwriter] thought he was alive. I would love him to be alive, it would make sense, but at the end of the day, ‘Scream’ does not need Matthew Lillard in it. A boy can dream.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ star is also known for voting the role of Shaggy in the ‘Scooby-Doo’ film series and noted that he used to strain himself to do the famous voice when it started but it he has gone “easier” on himself in recent years.
He said: “I have never deeply considered the long-term ramifications of doing that Shaggy voice, but it’s so easy for me to do. Early on, I would scream myself hoarse to get that scratchy voice but you can’t do a whole movie like that, let alone two movies, let alone 20 years.
“I do it relatively easily now. It doesn’t feel like its detrimental, the good news is that right now ‘Scooby’ goes in fits and starts. We’ve had a long stretch of not doing any so maybe it comes back and I’ll address it as it gets bad.”

Joel Dommett to host brand-new I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! spin-off

OHMYGOSSIP — Joel Dommett is to host a brand new ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ spin-off.
The 39-year-old comedian reached the final of the ITV1 jungle reality show in 2016 where he was beaten to the crown by ‘Gogglebox’ legend Scarlett Moffatt, but will now be heading back to Australia to front ‘I’m A Celebrity: Unpacked’, which will air on ITV2 after the main show has finished.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Good Morning Britain’, he said: “Everyone keeps reminding me, I’ve never won it! I feel like this is the show that started my career in a way, 2016, I lost, I came second and since then it has grown and grown and I’ve kept on working to my surprise and everyone else’s!”
The show’s first spin-off was titled ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! NOW!’ and ran from 2002 until 2016 when it was rebranded ‘Extra Camp’
and then into ‘The Daily Drop’ in 2019 but the whole format was axed in 2021.
The ‘Masked Singer’ presenter had worked on the second version of the show, and featured alongside fellow former campmates such as Emily Atack, Adam Thomas and Joe Swash but as he teams up with 2023 winner Sam Thompson and radio DJ Kemi Rodgers, explained that this time round, main series hosts Ant and Dec will feature far more.
He said: “I did the ‘Extra’ show for three years, I learned everything there. It stopped for a couple of years and now it feels like the right time to bring it back. “There’s a real thirst for it and we’re mixing it, we’re changing it a lot.
“We’re changing the name, which is great, we’re gonna have Ant and Dec on every day and we’re gonna have the campmates coming to us for interviews. We’re just really gonna divulge everything about the show, and really get into the nitty-gritty of it. I love ‘I’m A Celebrity’ so much, I love it!”
The official lineup of contestants for this year’s edition of ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ is yet to be announced, but it has been reported that Coleen Rooney is set to take home a fee of £1.5 million for the show, which will come amid her infamous Wagatha Christie feud with fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy.

Dynamo star Steven Frayne to make huge comeback in new Sky Christmas show

OHMYGOSSIP — Steven Frayne, formerly known as Dynamo, is back with a new Sky Christmas show.
The 41-year-old star killed off his magician alter ego last year but will make a comeback as himself in ‘Miracles’, which will see him meet the country’s community heroes while showing off his tricks.
A Sky spokesman told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “The magic builds to an astonishing climax in which Steven will take the ultimate risk, pushing himself to the limit for a death-defying finale – the miracle to end all miracles.
“Get ready for a show filled with inspiration, wonder and pure magic.”
The one-off, 90-minute show will be on Sky Max and streaming service NOW, with the release date set to be confirmed soon.
His final appearance as Dynamo came last year in ‘Dynamo is Dead’, where he buried himself alive during a live TV special with supermodel Cara Delevingne and pop star Demi Lovato
Off-screen, Steven, who hails from Bradford, has been open about his struggles with his mental health, which at one point he revealed in an interview that he “didn’t want to be alive anymore”.
Speaking to Chris Moyles, 50, on Radio X last year, he said: “My body was shutting down, my brain was shutting down to the point where I couldn’t really perform magic to the level that I used to be able to, and that was a bitter pill to swallow for me.
“It kind of took its toll on me. It got to a point where I didn’t really see the point in being alive anymore.
“I think for me, losing my connection with my audience, not doing magic, I don’t really see the point of me being alive.
“And if I can’t do magic, then what is the point of my existence? That’s kind of what I thought.”

Celebrity Traitors: Daisy May Cooper and Charlie Cooper sign up for show

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy May Cooper and her brother Charlie have reportedly signed up for ‘Celebrity Traitors’.
The comedy stars are said to have been snapped up after BBC bosses decided they would be “great players” on hit elimination game show which sees contestants known as the Faithfuls to eliminate the titular Traitors in a bid to win a cash prize.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Bosses are convinced Daisy and Charlie will be great players.
“They’re hilarious, witty and have award-winning acting skills.”
The news comes after retired tennis star Sir Andy Murray, 37, and his mum Judy, 65, turned down an offer to appear.
The comics are expected to join TV presenter Clare Balding, 53, retired Olympic diving sensation Tom Daley, 30, actor Stephen Fry, 67, and ITV News’ Political Editor Robert Peston, 64.
No release date has been confirmed by the BBC, but filming is set to get underway next year.
The Coopers shot to fame in 2014 when they co-wrote and featured in the BBC award-winning mockumentary ‘This Country’.
Daisy and Charlie played Cotswolds-based cousins Kerry and Lee ‘Kurtan’ Mucklowe.
They will reunite on-screen again in series two of the corporation’s comedy thriller ‘Am I Being Unreasonable’, with a release date for 2025 set to be confirmed soon.
Speaking of his career as an actor and writer – one he would never have had without Daisy – in a 2022 interview with NME, Charlie said: “She just gave me so much confidence and I think she saw something in me that no one else would have.
“Growing up, she’d put on plays for mum and dad and she always roped me in somehow – I hated it at the time, but looking back, it was probably necessary to what I’m doing now.”

Rula Lenska ‘hates’ to talk about her time on Celebrity Big Brother

OHMYGOSSIP — Rula Lenska “hates” to talk about her time on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The 77-year-old actress took part in the social experiment reality series when it aired on Channel 4 in 2006 but even though she doesn’t like looking back on her time in the house, has admitted that some “good” came from her appearance in the end.
She told Yours magazine: “‘Celebrity Big Brother’ is something I hate talking about, but good came from it. I raised a lot of money for the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. I’m a huge animal lover, and I do a lot of work for animal charities. Animals have as much right to freedom and compassion as humans.”
During her time on the series, the former ‘Coronation Street’ star joined MP George Galloway when he pretended to be a cat and licked milk up as she stroked his ears.
The series was eventually won by Chantelle Houghton, who was not a celebrity when she entered the series and had been tasked with convincing her co-stars that she was part of a fictional pop group called Kandy Floss.
Meanwhile, Rula was married to Brian Deacon for a decade from 1977 and had daughter Lara, 42, with him and was then married to Dennis Waterman from 1987 until 1998.
Her most recent relationship ended over issues brought about by distance and she decided to remain in England rather than relocate to her ancestral Poland because she would rather be with her family.
She said: “My last boyfriend was a lovely man we dated for 12 years. But he lived in Poland and one of us would have had to move. He couldn’t because of work and I wanted to be near my family. My daughter Lara and my 12-year-old grandson are the best things that ever happened to me. I will always find ways to be with them.”

Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper wants to ‘make all the money’ now

OHMYGOSSIP — Kaleb Cooper wants to “make all the money” now.
The 26-year-old farmer – who has two-year-old Oscar and 15-month-old Willa Grace with his fiancee Taya – found fame through Amazon Prime series ‘Clarkson’s Farm’ and is hoping to earn enough to buy his own farm one day whilst attaining enough financial security that he can spend time with his children.
He told The Times: “It’s amazing I have two kids, really. I wanted a girl and boy, which I’ve got and am very grateful. Then when I get older I can go down the pub with them, or out on the tractors, and I can still be energetic.
“I’ll make all the money now, hopefully have a farm, then chill out, go partying and be in Ibiza, though I can’t think of anything worse than being in a nightclub. “Everyone’s too close to me!”
The TV star noted that in order to achieve all of his agricultural dreams, he would need a bank balance in the tens of millions and joked that he might consider selling racy pictures of himself on OnlyFans in order to do that.
He said: “I was told by an old farmer, ‘Kaleb, you can’t farm without an arsehole. [He meant you need manure to increase crop yield.] So I’d have 60 dairy cows, 200 beef cows, 5,000 chickens and probably 1,000 acres arable. I’d have a farm shop with a butcher. I’d make my own cheese. About £20 million.” He laughs. “Do you want to sign up to my OnlyFans?”
Since finding fame on Jeremy Clarkson’s hit docuseries, Kaleb has toured with his show ‘The World According To Kaleb’ and recently published his book ‘It’s a Farming Thing’ but amid such a busy schedule has left his fiancee to do all the planning for their wedding next year.
He joked: “I’m going to invite every single farmer in the area to my wedding and get them really p*****, so the next day, they can’t go and jump on their tractors and make me feel bad.”

Strictly star Amy Dowden ‘loving every second’ of the show following breast cancer ordeal

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Dowden is “loving every second” of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 34-year-old star was forced to take time out of her role as a professional on the BBC Latin and ballroom show last year after being diagnosed with breast cancer but was given the all-clear in February and she is back on the programme alongside JLS singer JB Gill, although she did struggle when they risked elimination after landing in the bottom two early on in the show.
She told The Sunday Mirror newspaper: “I never truly felt really like me since my cancer journey, until I was back on Strictly and working with my lovely JB. That’s what I found hardest going into the dance-off – I’m not ready to have this taken away from me. I had it completely taken away from me last year and I’m loving being back. I don’t want it to stop. I’m not ready to finish my journey because I’m loving every second. I knew JB could get through the dance and could ace it.
Amy is also “grateful” to be getting back to health and reflected on just how much has changed within the space of a year.
She added: “Honestly, it’s the most wonderful thing. I get so many messages about my smile. I do always look back and think, ‘Gosh, this time last year I was having chemo, this time last year I was in hospital with a blood clot’. What a difference a year can make. I get messages every day from people saying, ‘I’m going through chemo and you’re my hope’, or, ‘Because of you I’ve checked myself and I found a lump’, or some-thing like this. I’m just grateful to be back and be in the position I am.”

Christine McGuinness ‘left devastated’ after being joked about by ex-husband Paddy

OHMYGOSSIP — Christine McGuinness was left “devastated” after being joked about by her ex-husband Paddy.
The 36-year-old model was married to the stand-up comedian, 51, from 2011 until 2022 and while she has “kept a respectful silence” since the split, she was “horrified” that he included her as part of the material for a recent gig.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “She was devastated yesterday and was horrified to be a laughing stock, she didn’t know Paddy was going to make her the butt of his jokes and felt shocked that he did.
“She has kept a respectful silence throughout their divorce proceedings and their marriage fallout.
“She felt very low about this.
“She is focusing on her family and work projects, which bring her joy, she’s not interested in bad-mouthing anyone. She was distraught at the idea that people were laughing at her.”
The former ‘Take Me Out’ host- who has eight year-old twins Leo and Penelope, and five year-old Felicity with his estranged wife – returned to the comedy circuit last week for the first time in almost a decade with his new show ‘Nearly There’ and joked to the sold-out crowd that they had helped him pay for his divorce.
He said: “It’s all about love and respect tonight.
“Loads of love in this room.
“I don’t care what race you are, what religion, what your sexuality is. I don’t care how you identify. You can identify as a cat, for all I care.
Put your litter tray in the corner, knock yourself out.
“Tonight, folks, we’re all here as human beings with one common goal — and that’s to help me pay for my divorce.
“I’ve had the pants down, me, the pants down.
I’m thinking of getting ‘Children In Need’ to do a bike ride for me next year, or come round to a bedsit in Bolton filming me.”

Tom Bateman had just days to write the script for Magpie

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Bateman had just days to write the script for ‘Magpie’.
The 35-year-old actor is married to ‘Star Wars’ actress Daisy Ridley and explained that his wife initially came up with the concept for the new film – which follows a couple dealing with their young daughter becoming a movie star – but she so quickly sold the idea to producers that he was left with limited time to complete the screenplay.
He told Movie Web: “Daisy had the initial idea, she was working on a movie out in Canada and she had a little girl playing her daughter. She became fascinated, children have no ability to lie or comment. They are just present. And at a point, this little girl almost believed Daisy to be her mum and Daisyw as facisnted by this blur of reality that can happen when people are creating things.
“So I picked her up from the airport and in her jet lag state she said ‘What do you think?, I think this could be a really cool idea for a movie’. And we talked about making something together before. I’ve been writing for a few years and she’s been so supportive of my writing. And she said ‘Do you think you wanna write it?’ and I said ‘Yeah, that’ll be so fun, leave it with me.’
“About two days later she said ‘I’ve set us up a pitch with these producers, and a few days later they called back and said they were really interested. So I was given the task to effectively write this script yesterday. They needed it ASAP. So I set my alarm at 4am every day, and took a jug of coffee to this little barn and I would write for four or five hours. Daisy would come down in the morning and read what I’d written, I’d pace up and down nervously chain smoking.”
Tom added that Daisy – who plays the role of matriarch Anette in the film – helped him “steer” the project through to fruition but her initial vision changed as time went on.
He added: “She helped me steer it and was my sounding board all along. I think I turned in the first draft after about two weeks. We just went from there but it was interesting that Daisy’s initial idea was an actress infiltrating the family, that’s where she thought it would go. But as I was writing, I started to get more and more fascinated about this woman who was left at home.”

Dr Punam Krishan voted off Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Dr. Punam Krishan has been voted off ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The TV medic and her professional partner Gorka Marquez have left the competition after facing Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu in the dance off, with all of the judges opting to save the former ‘Coronation Street’ actor.
After Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke all confirmed they were voting for Shayne and Nancy’s Paso Doble over Punam and Gorka’s Tango, head judge Shirley Ballas agreed she would have chosen in the same way.
But despite her departure, Punam insisted she was “really proud” of herself.
She said: “I am really proud of myself. You know I’ve taken on something that’s so out of my comfort zone. The one thing that I’ve very much learnt is to say yes more, and that there is no point in your life when you can stop learning new skills.
“I’ve learnt more than dancing, I’ve learnt so much from Gorka. Everyone’s been so incredible and it’s just memories that I’ll take home forever and I am very proud. I’ve made my family very proud, I’m just really grateful…
“My kids are so proud, my parents, my husband, everyone. This is just one of those things that I have dreamt about for years and I think to have one of your dreams genuinely come true is just a surreal feeling. Week after week it’s been incredible, I’ve made friends for life and everyone’s just been so kind, so thank you.”
Gorka heaped praise on the GP for how much she had progressed during their short time on the show.
He said: “It’s been incredible, it’s been a fantastic six weeks. I’m very proud of what she has achieved. She’s a GP and a Mum. She had never danced before and I think she improved week by week.
“I think she is truly what the show is about, someone who doesn’t have experience in the performance world came here and learnt to dance. She wanted to do so well and worked so hard.
“Also I feel very proud and very honoured that we got to do a Bollywood dance, to represent your culture, show your culture to the world and open doors for so many people in your culture.”
Punam has vowed to keep dancing in the future.
She told Gorka: “Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for giving me the gift of dancing. I’ve never danced before, but you’ve definitely sparked so much dancing. I want to learn more, and I definitely don’t think this will be the end of my journey dancing.”
The results show also featured a musical performance from Lady Blackbird and a spooky ‘Beetlejuice’-inspired routine from the professionals, though Amy Dowden was unable to appear.
The dancer was taken to hospital by ambulance after collapsing during filming on Saturday (26.10.24) but a spokesperson for the star – who missed the last series as she was battling breast cancer – insisted she is now “feeling much better”.
Her representative said: “Amy was feeling unwell and so an ambulance was called as a precaution.
“She is feeling much better and would like to thank the Strictly family for their love and concern.
“We request Amy’s privacy in matters of health is kindly respected.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo is engaged.
Just over a month after revealing she was hoping for an engagement ring and proposal for her 30th birthday (23.10.24), her BrewDog co-founder partner, James Watt, 42, popped the question on a romantic getaway to Greece last Friday (25.10.24).
Alongside a series of proposal photographs showing off the gigantic diamond ring, she gushed on Instagram: “James asked me to marry him.
“It really was the best moment of my life so far. I never knew I could feel happiness like this. The easiest, quickest yes to being your wife. @brewdogjames.
“Our love story is my favourite. How we managed to find each other out of billions of people out there will always be my greatest blessing.
“I love you forever and the magical life we’re building.”
Sharing more details of the proposal, James wrote: “She said yes! With an abundance of smiles, happiness, love and family, [Georgia] and I got engaged on Friday in Greece.
“Georgia – I am so grateful that we managed to find each other and even more grateful to be building our lives together.”
She told MailOnline last month of her big birthday wish: “I always want jewellery – a lovely piece of jewellery would be nice. Darling, I am always in the market for a diamond ring.
“‘It would be the ultimate 30th birthday present. You never know, I can hope and pray and I was praying yesterday so hopefully it’s not too far off.”
The couple met through a mutual friend last year and moved in together in February.
Meanwhile, Georgia recently admitted her TV career has been a complete “surprise” to her.
While she shot to fame in 2014 when she became a cast member on reality series ‘Made in Chelsea’, Georgia now regularly features on the small screen with presenting roles on shows like ‘This Morning’ but admitted she had initially planned to take a different route entirely.
She told Metro newspaper’s Sixty Seconds column: “My whole career has been very unexpected. I thought I was going to train to be a solicitor and then I wanted to be a barrister. So this has really taken me by surprise. I think the highlight for me has got to be my books.”
The ‘Meet Me…’ author now has more than one million followers on Instagram and described the platform as a “real responsibility” as she described “going out of [her] way” to have open and honest conversations with followers.
She said: “It’s a real responsibility. I go out of my way to have conversations on there that are real and honest. Social media for me has been a gift but for some, it can take a toll. I’m big on talking about skin positivity because I’ve struggled for 15 years with quite severe acne.”
In 2017, Georgia took part in and won that year’s edition of ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ and return for ‘I’m a Celebrity… South Africa’ last year.

Naomi Scott reveals why she doubted she was a ‘real actor’ in early days

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomi Scott thought she had to act a certain way to be considered a “real actor”.
The ‘Smile 2’ star, 31, has opened up about her early days in the movie industry and how she swiftly “learned on the job”.
During filming her first movie role in 2011’s teen musical drama ‘Lemonade Mouth’, Naomi had no idea what the term “mark” meant, which is essentially the location the actor will deliver their lines, but she is able to laugh about her blunders now.
Speaking on ‘In the Envelope: The Actor’s Podcast’, she recalled: “A lot of those [early projects] were more to do with the experience of it and just getting used to being on camera…. I remember my first movie was a Disney Channel movie called ‘Lemonade Mouth,’ and I didn’t know what a mark was. This director, Patricia [Riggen]—we laugh about it now—was like, ‘You did not know what the hell you were doing.’ I was so green. [The first day,] she’s like, ‘She can’t f****** stand on the mark. Who did we cast? Who is this girl from London?’ Then I kind of just learned on the job. I figured it out pretty quickly; I learned quite fast. But a lot of it was just observing—observing other people, other actors, older actors. I always say that to younger actors: Just watch. If you want to be in movies or TV or theatre, just try and be close to it.”
As an actress who learned from observing other actors, Naomi worried that she would never be seen as a proper actress because she didn’t stick to the same method.
She explained: “There was a particular job where I felt like it was such a serious thing. I was so nervous, and it was such a serious subject matter that I almost kind of isolated myself. I was like: Oh, I need to be in this head space over here. And, well and truly, I probably didn’t need to. And actually, I was like: Oh, wait, now I feel weirder—and, therefore, it’s making me in my head even more.
“I think what I was doing was trying to do something that I thought was ‘the thing.’ Because, you know, you hear other actors talk about this and they talk about that, and you think: Oh, that’s what it means to be a real [actor]. Nah, that’s b*******, I promise you.
“Don’t get me wrong—some of my closest friends who are amazing actors… I wouldn’t say they’re Method, but they really remain in a particular head space and are very intense when they’re filming. But they’re always respectful and never encroaching on anyone else…. So long as you are respectful of everyone’s job, it doesn’t matter. Do what you need to do.”

Shayne Ward reveals why he is ‘massively humbled’ by Strictly Come Dancing experience

OHMYGOSSIP — Shayne Ward is “massively humbled” by his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ experience so far.
The 40-year-old singer shot to fame as the winner of ‘The X Factor’ in 2005 before carving out an acting career with his role as Aidan Connor on the ITV1 soap opera ‘Coronation Street’ but he is now competing in the BBC Latin and ballroom show alongside professional partner Nancy Xu, and is embracing the opportunity to be himself for the “first time” on camera.
He told OK! Magazine: “It’s a massive learning experience for me because I’ve been the actor, I’ve been the pop star, but this is the first time where I’m getting to be me and I’m finding out different things about myself in this different environment. I’m just trying to learn what these incredible pros have been doing for 20 or 30 years and of course it’s massively humbling.”
The ‘That’s My Goal’ hitmaker – who is engaged to Sophie Austin and has Willow, seven, and their son, Reign with her – sometimes struggles with the negativity that comes from social media users who watch the show but then explained that it is never difficult to find positive comments from fans, although he would prefer it if people were just “kinder” overall.
He said: “I think when it comes to social media and negative comments, I’m only human, and it can get to me. It can also upset my mum and Sophie when it’s a personal attack. But then I look at how many beautiful comments I get, and they far outweigh the negative ones. I do think social media needs to
be monitored a little bit more to protect people. People just need to be kinder

Daisy Ridley explains why it was ‘very helpful’ to not have Tom Bateman with her on set of Magpie

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Ridley found it “very helpful” to not have her husband Tom Bateman on the set of ‘Magpie’ with her.
The 32-year-old actress stars as a woman dealing with her daughter’s sudden fame in the new film that was actually written by Tom, 35, he wasn’t able to be there for much of the filming because of other work commitments and noted that it was a blessing in disguise.
She told MovieWeb: “I think that [not having him there] was very helpful for me and to be honest that was precisely the moment where it ended up being really good, because otherwise I would’ve felt a little inhibited.
“He’s come to set to watch me in other things but because of the nature of this role in particular, and it’s all so personal anyway, particularly because he was able to watch the dailies and actually give feedback as someone who wasn’t there.
“Often as well, you go into [making] a movie you think it looks great and it feels great, but you think ‘Is it translating?’ For him to be watching the rushes every day and saying ‘Yes’ was another layer of comfort that we were capturing what we had hoped we were.”
Tom recently revealed that the ‘Star Wars’ actress had the inspiration for the story while working on another film and he agreed to write it as she hastily set up a meeting with producers.
He said: “So I picked her up from the airport and in her jet lag state she said ‘What do you think?, I think this could be a really cool idea for a movie’.
