OHMYGOSSIP — John Boyega has posted an image showing his character in the upcoming ‘Pacific Rim: Uprising’.
The ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ actor revealed the poster – released by Legendary Pictures and Universal Studios – on his Instagram account which also featured revealed the sequel is set for a March 2018 release.
Boyega, 20, captioned the image: “Up next! (sic)”
The original 2013 film was set in the future when Earth is at war with the colossal monsters Kaiju who appeared at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean through an interdimensional portal.
To defeat the monsters, humans created gigantic humanoid mechas called Jaegers and follows the story of Raleigh Beckett (Charlie Hunnam) who comes out of retirement to stop the monsters.
‘Pacific Rim: Uprising’ is set 10 years after The Battle of the Breach and the Jaeger program has evolved inot a powerful global defence force and when the Kaiju return, the best and brightest have to team up to become the next generation of heroes.
Hunnam, 37, is not returning as Beckett in the anticipated sequel and blamed the “rapid” turnaround for ‘Pacific Rim: Uprising’ as the reason for his character not being in the movie.
He said the reason he couldn’t reprise his role in the upcoming sequel was because Legendary Entertainment – the studio that made the movie and was subsequently bought by Chinese company Wanda – wanted to make the movie “very rapidly”, when the star was already committed to the prison movie ‘Papillon’.
Despite the scheduling crisis, Hunnam insists there’s no bad blood between himself and the team at Legendary, and has thanked them for letting him out of his contract so he could focus on ‘Papillon’.
In the upcoming sequel, Boyega stars alongside Scott Eastwood, Jing Tian, Wesley Wong, Lily Ji, Lan Yingying, Qian Yongchen, Zhang Jin and Cailee Spaeny and Chen Zitong.
The film will be directed by Steven S. DeKnight and is based around the creation of Guillermo del Toro and Travis Beacham.

OHMYGOSSIP — Aidan Gillen has joined ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.
The former ‘Game of Thrones’ star and ‘The Night Manager’ actor Tom Hollander will portray Queen managers John Reid and Jim Beach respectively in the British band’s biopic, according to Vanity Fair magazine.
Reid – who also managed Sir Elton John for 28 years – departed Queen in 1978 after three years at the helm.
Beach took over in 1978 and is still the band’s manager today.
He will co-produce the movie, which will see Rami Malek play Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, who died in 1991 aged 45.
Ben Hardy will portray drummer Roger Taylor, Joe Mazzello is in line to star as bassist John Deacon and Gwilym Lee will play lead guitarist Brian May.
Former ‘Downton Abbey’ actor Allen Leech will star as Freddie’s personal manager Paul Prenter in the Bryan Singer-directed motion picture.
Prenter was employed by the talented frontman from 1977 to 1986 but was later sacked after he betrayed him by selling stories to newspapers about his lifestyle.
What’s more, Lucy Bolton is set to star as Freddie’s lifelong companion Mary Austin.
‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ will chart the rock band’s story up to their appearance at the Live Aid charity concert in 1985.
Singer will produce the project alongside Graham King and Jim Beach, and Justin Haythe has written the script.
Denis O’Sullivan, Arnon Milchan and Jane Rosenthal will executive produce the motion picture.
The movie is slated for release on Christmas Day 2018 (25.12.18) in the US.

OHMYGOSSIP — Leonardo DiCaprio is reportedly set to star as Teddy Roosevelt in a new movie about the former US President.
The 42-year-old actor and Academy Award-winning director Martin Scorsese are poised to team up once again to realise their long-held ambition of making a movie about the American politician, who is widely considered to be one of the best and most influential in the country’s history.
For the moment, it remains unclear which period of Roosevelt’s eventful life the movie will focus on.
But when the idea was first mooted back in 2006, the plan was to adapt Edmund Morris’ ‘The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt’, which centres on the early years of his life.
Scorsese will direct the film based on a script written by Scott Bloom, according to Deadline, which also says that DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson will serve as producers on the movie.
DiCaprio and Scorsese have previously worked together on a number of hit films, including ‘The Departed’, ‘Gangs of New York’ and ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’.
And DiCaprio previously acknowledged that their partnership has played a huge role in his Hollywood career.
Speaking in 2014, the movie icon explained: “It’s interesting, because I have been doing this since I was 13.
“I am almost about to turn 40, and I am looking back at some of the stuff I’ve gotten to do, and at the centre of it is this amazing accidental collaboration that I’ve gotten to have with Marty.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Danan is in talks to return to ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 39-year-old actor hasn’t been in the Channel 4 soap since 2001, when he portrayed troublesome teenager Sol Patrick, but the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star has revealed producers are keen for him to make a comeback over the next coming months.
However, while they are already trying to come up with a script for Sol to return after he fled the Cheshire town to escape his prostitute girlfriend Jess’ pimp, Paul says he has his sights set on rival soap ‘EastEnders’.
He told The Sun newspaper: “I would like to go back and do a stint on ‘Hollyoaks’. Or a bit of ‘EastEnders’ would be good.
“I’ve been speaking to ‘Hollyoaks’ and they would love me to come back.
“They’re just sorting a storyline for Sol to return. It would be nice. Gary Lucy and Sarah Dunn have gone back so I don’t know why Sol can’t do a little few months. I’m not desperate to do it because it’s been it, seen it, done it. So if it happens, it happens.”
After leaving the show, Paul made appearances on shows including ‘ The Kevin Bishop Show’ and ‘Test Drive My Girlfriend’.
Last month, Paul revealed he’s been working on a new BBC sitcom based around Channel 4’s 90s hit Desmond’s’.
He said: “It’s been a whirlwind. I’ve got a sitcom coming out – it will be a modern-day Desmond’s set in a London barber’s shop.
“I’m really excited as acting is my passion and that’s what I want to be known for. I’ve had loads of messages of support from younger viewers who didn’t know who I was before.”
Paul gave no further details about the planned show, so it is unknown as of the time of writing when the programme is set to air.
Meanwhile, Paul – who was known for being one of the first ‘Love Island’ contestants in 2005 and 2006 – recently thanked ‘CBB’ for his time on the show last month, as he believes the opportunity has given him a “second chance” at his career.
He said: “Thank you ‘Big Brother’ for having me. You’ve given me a second chance.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Our Girl’ will return to screens in two weeks’ time.
Michelle Keegan – who plays Corporal Georgie Lane in the show – has spent the past three months shooting the third series of the army drama in South Africa and the Malaysian jungle, but fans won’t have to wait too much longer to watch the follow-up as the BBC have confirmed it’ll air on October 10 at 9pm on BBC One.
Alongside a 15-second clip posted on Twitter of Michelle in character, they wrote: “Corporal Georgie Lane is reporting for duty. @michkeegan returns in Series 3 of #OurGirl. Starts Tuesday 10th October. 9pm. @BBCOne. (sic)”
Not much is known about the forthcoming series but Georgie will be deployed on three separate missions alongside her ex-boyfriend Elvis Hart (Luke Pasqualiano).
The last series saw Georgie jilt her fiance Dr Jamie Cole (Royce Pierreson) at the altar when she realised she was still in love with her former flame Elvis – who is part of the Special Forces – after he saved her life when she was helped captive by the Taliban.
Although the pair didn’t get back together after their romantic moment back in Manchester, fans are no doubt hoping that there’s a happy ending for them this time.
However, the third series was almost subject to a delay after Michelle, 30, reportedly threatened to pull out of filming when script expert Andrea Bamford was struck by a deadly spider while filming was taking place for the forthcoming series.
A source said: “They hooked her up on a drip and said if she was 15 minutes later she would have died. Everyone, including Michelle, is completely shocked and feels they are in danger. Bosses had to assure them that it is fine to continue filming.”
Despite dealing with deadly animals, Michelle has admitted landing the lead role in the drama has been a career highlight because it’s forced her out of her comfort zone.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Apprentice’ star James White’s relationship has come to an end after he allegedly had an affair with his co-star Jade English while filming the show earlier this year.
The aspiring businessman will be seen competing with other entrepreneurs when Lord Sugar’s reality show returns to screens on October 4, but it was claimed this week that he was unfaithful while filming the programme and his infidelity has now led to him splitting from his fiancee Laura Case after she read about his fling in the newspaper.
Speaking to the Mail Online, Laura’s mother Gail said of the couple, who got engaged last year: “They have split up because of this and it’s so upsetting. My daughter has been in bed all day crying her heart out. It’s been an awful day.”
After the alleged revelation came to light, James blocked Laura on all his social networking sites, but the brunette beauty – who has been dating the hunk for four years – is hopeful that his actions while on the show are merely “rumours” for “publicity.”
She explained: “Perhaps they are fuelling rumours, maybe it’s all a publicity stunt but if that’s the case it’s wrong because people are being hurt.”
It’s believed James and Jade got frisky behind closed doors while shooting the series but, once filming wrapped, they went their separate ways and haven’t spoken since.
A source said: “Tension had been building between James and Jade during filming. There was clearly an attraction from the beginning. They’re both young and attractive people and they really got along during the process.They couldn’t resist getting to know each other that bit better during their time in the house. Afterwards they kept things going for a while, but relations have cooled off between them since ­filming ended.”
Meanwhile, ‘The Apprentice’ bosses were not prepared to be drawn into the row.
A spokesperson said: “There isn’t any comment from the show or candidates.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The X Factor’ may have to move from its prime time Saturday night slot.
Bosses of the ITV singing show have made drastic changes to the format this year in a bid to beat its rival ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in the ratings war, but a television expert believes the only way the series can pull in more viewers is by changing its air time.
Tom Harrington from TV analysts Enders told The Daily Star: “‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and ‘X Factor’ have been going head-to-head together in some capacity for years.
“Up to this time that consistency indicates that for both the BBC and ITV the arrangement works. That may change however with X Factor’s decline.”
And it doesn’t look like ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, which returned to screens last weekend, is willing to move slots because it’s always been aired on Saturday nights.
A spokesperson for the BBC said: “We have always broadcast Strictly at the heart of the Saturday night schedule, precisely where the public want the biggest show on TV.”
The show returned to screens late last month and saw Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh reclaim their seats on the panel.
And Simon recently revealed that he’s prepared to part with more cash when it comes to nabbing the two females for his judging panel because he knows that the Irish music manager is willing to take any fee in order to reclaim his seat on the series.
When asked about the recent BBC wages reveal, Simon said: “For once this is good news. Victory. Yeah, they definitely are. I just don’t tell Louis.
“He’s got enough money for a bum implant so he shouldn’t be complaining. I’m almost like a pioneer I guess, yeah. If they get the money, it doesn’t matter to me whether you’re a boy or a girl.
“But I would say we’ve probably paid girls more money than guys over the years.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Gregson thinks Connor McIntyre should be cast in the next ‘James Bond’.
The ‘Coronation Street’ star thinks his co-star, who portrays Pat Phelan in the soap, depicts the “best villain” on screens at the moment and should bag the supporting role in the spy franchise when Daniel Craig steps down as the secret agent in 2019.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine: “I’m absolutely head over heels in love with the way Connor McIntyre plays Phelan. Connor is such a beautiful human being, but he’s just the best villain I’ve ever seen.
“If he’s not in the next James Bond film, there’s something seriously wrong with the world. So vote for Connor, because the rest of the soap villains are rubbish!”
The 42-year-old actor’s alter-ego Steve McDonald – a hapless cabbie who seems to find himself in awkward situations – is world away from Phelan, but he doesn’t mind because he thoroughly enjoys doing the comedic scenes.
He explained: “Obviously the comedy is better for me personally, because if you’re having a laugh at work, the day goes quicker. But getting those dramatic scenes out there and having a reaction from the audience is very rewarding …
“When you’re doing all the comedy stuff, you’re basically just going into work and having a laugh, and someone’s giving you money for that! It’s quite a good living, and it’s what everyone would like.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ore Oduba cried his eyes out when he found out his wife was pregnant.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ winner announced he and his spouse Portia were expecting their first child last month, but he has admitted he struggled to keep it a secret from the rest of the world because he was so excited about becoming a father.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: “We’d just come back from Spain and Portia was feeling a bit weird. I nipped home for half an hour between meetings. As soon as I opened the door Portia dived in to our bedroom and came out to show me the stick test which said, ‘pregnant’. I fell about crying.
“I sobbed and said, ‘How am I supposed to get on with the rest of my day? There’ll be a river of emotion the moment our baby is born.”
And the 31-year-old sports journalist can’t go over how “beautiful” his wife, whom he married in 2015, looks with a burgeoning baby bump, but has admitted he feels sorry for her because the unborn tot is moving around all day and is making Portia tired.
He explained: “Portia is over the half-way mark now so keeps pointing to her body and saying, ‘this bit’s grown – this bit’s bigger’. She’s very self deprecating.
“When I look at her I can’t put in to words how much more beautiful she looks every day. I thought it was impossible to be any more stunning. She changes that record every day. She’s tired because this one’s quite a mover.”
Announcing the pair’s happy news on Instagram last month, alongside a photograph of himself looking shocked as he held Portia’s baby bump, Ore wrote: “Not sure what I did to deserve this one. My best friend, the most amazing wife and soon to be the most amazing mum “Been a pretty life-changing last 12 months, now @portiajett and I are preparing for our biggest adventure yet! OHMYGOSSIP — Lucy Mecklenburgh lost two stone while competing on ‘Bear Grylls: Celebrity Island’.
The former ‘Only Way is Essex’ star didn’t realise she’d dropped so much weight until after she left the secret tropical location, but is relieved she had listened to producers before going on the gruelling show, which sees a group of stars dropped on an island and told to fend for themselves, and piled on the pounds in the run up to her stint.
She told the Mirror Online: “I was told you should get used to eating less and less but then the I was told: ‘No, no, no you need to put on some weight. So I put on half a stone.
“It was weird because when you’re there you don’t really feel as thin as you are because you don’t have a mirror so you don’t really know how tiny you are.”
However, the 26-year-old beauty had no issues putting the pounds back on as she “ate a lot” and managed to get back up to her starting weight within just three weeks.
Taking to her Instagram account, Lucy uploaded a photograph of her body after the show and then three weeks on and accompanied it with the caption: “My poor little body!!!! Soooooo emotional watching the last ep of #celebrityisland .. I can’t believe we did it.. I can’t believe I did it what an experience! I will never doubt myself ever again!! Met some incredible people that will be friends for life. So proud of us all!! #celebrityisland #beargrylls #theisland PS It only took me 3 weeks to put all my weight back on! I ate ALOT HAHAHHA!!!! (sic).”
Despite feeling hungry and grouchy while on the island, Lucy had her now-boyfriend Ryan Thomas to keep her in the right frame of mind and the pair got on so well during the challenge that they decided to give their relationship a go when they left the island.
Ryan, 33, said recently: “It was amazing to have Lucy there with me.
“We are of a similar age and she was a companion. It’s nice having someone to look out for you. It was a real pleasure to have her there for me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Love Island’s Alex Beattie will “never get back” together with Montana Brown.
The 22-year-old hunk – who struck up a romance with the brunette beauty inside the villa over the summer – is adamant he’ll never give the wannabe presenter another chance because it wouldn’t be a “healthy” relationship after their split at the end of August.
Speaking to The Sun Online, Alex said: “Montana said we talk regularly but we haven’t spoken in a month. I don’t know where it came from. She said ‘never say never’ about us but that was news to me! She must be texting the wrong number! I would never get back with her. It’s over! If went back to the way it was, it wouldn’t be healthy anyway.”
Although he’s adamant he doesn’t want to get back with her, Alex has asked the 22-year-old star to stop playing with his feelings because he’s still “hurting.”
He said: “I was hurt when she said that about us possibly getting back together … I want her to stop playing with my feelings and to stop talking about me. She knows how I felt about her and how much I cared. I find it hard to talk about. She made me single, so now I am. I’ve got no pressure now and I can just focus on myself and do the best I can.”
The pair called time on their relationship just weeks after they left the famous villa because their careers were pulling them apart, but Alex was willing to “fight” for her.
He explained: “I had super strong feelings for her in the villa and when we came out. I was gutted when she ended it, I wasn’t expecting it. It was more her, I was willing to fight. I was going to cancel PAs but she’s a strong woman, she wanted to do her own thing. I expected her to give it more of a chance or to fight for it more. It was so intense in there and to come out and for it to be nothing – that was hard.”
Despite his heartbreak, Alex is open to finding love again but doesn’t want to rush it.
He added: “I’m open to a relationship but I’m just seeing what comes along.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sinitta has signed up to ‘Celebrity First Dates’.
The 53-year-old singer – an ex girlfriend of Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt – will look for love on the dating show after splitting from her agent and long-term boyfriend Jason Gale in January following a three-year relationship.
A source said: “She’s definitely ready to have another strong male influence in her life.
“Sinitta once dated Brad Pitt so she’s got some very high standards.
“But hopefully she’ll manage to find a man who will treat her right.”
But it’s not just boyfriends who Sinitta is down on her luck with at the moment – Simon Cowell has snubbed her from X Factor’s Judges Houses in favour of Cheryl Tweedy.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: “Sinitta hasn’t had the best of luck with men.
“Her relationship broke down and she’s going through a rocky period with Simon.”
The ‘So Macho’ star hit out at the music mogul earlier this week following her ‘X Factor’ axing.
She said: “I will always love Simon. He is like a father figure meets brother figure and ex-lover figure to me, and of course my mentor for over three decades.
“But right now he can kiss my black ass.
“Simon promised me the job for life and said he didn’t ever want to do it with anyone else.
“Last year I had a breast cancer scare and was having a biopsy done so I missed it and this year I was excited to be clear, healthy and fearless and they did this.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The X Factor’ contestant Anthony Russell has reportedly been booted off the show.
The wannabe pop star – who was nicknamed ‘Skippy’ by Sharon Osbourne – quickly became a fan favourite after he made it through to the Judges’ Houses when he wowed the panel during the six-chair challenge, but his dreams of winning the series have been cut short after he reportedly admitted to taking drugs to the production team.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Contestants are closely monitored by the production team. They were alarmed by how erratic he was and decided to confront him. He admitted he was a drug user and a decision was quickly taken to remove him. It’s a shame, as he was hotly tipped to make the live shows.”
However, it may not be the end of the road for Anthony – who turned up to his first audition with a black eye after he was allegedly attacked by a gang in Liverpool – as bosses have told him to sort himself out and reapply for the show next year.
An insider explained: “Production are all very fond of him so have told him, if he straightens himself out, they would love him to have another shot next year. That is the perfect incentive for him to get his life back on track.”
A representative for the show confirmed last night (26.09.17) that Anthony had pulled out of the competition earlier this month due to “personal reasons”.
The spokesperson said: “Earlier this month, due to personal reasons, Anthony withdrew from the show. We are sad to see him go and wish him the best for the future.”
Meanwhile, Anthony previously applied for the singing competition 10 years ago when he was just 17 but he failed to make it through at the time.

OHMYGOSSIP — AJ Pritchard has hinted he wants a romance with Mollie King.
The 22-year-old professional dancer has been the subject of gossip he’s growing closer to his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ partner and though he insists nothing has happened between them yet, he won’t rule it out.
Asked about the rumours, he said: “We’re both single and having a fantastic time training, but I’ve only known her for two weeks.
“Who knows what will happen You do get very close, and the second dance will be a complete change of moves, that’s for sure…
“Training is a dream and we’re having so much fun in there.”
And AJ admitted he was hoping to be partnered with the Saturdays singer when her involvement in the show was first announced.
He said: “I was so happy [to get Mollie]. She was who I wanted from the beginning, but until you’re told who you’re dancing with, you never know what’s going to happen.”
In order to prepare for the programme, AJ has spent hours studying videos of the 30-year-old pop beauty in action.
He told heat magazine: “I knew who she was and I’ve seen her perform but when I found out I was dancing with her, I went on YouTube and watched every single music video. I also watched the tours she did and the behind-the-scenes clips to see her personality. I was really trying to find out what makes her tick and what we can use in routines. If people at home see her personality, they’ll fall in love with her.”
Mollie recently quashed the romance rumours, but she did admit she thinks her partner is a “beautiful boy” and she’s “lucky” to have him as her partner.
She said: “I think there’s always some kind of romance rumour so it didn’t surprise me but I hardly even know him well so far, so there’s no truth in that. But he’s such a sweet heart and obviously he is a beautiful boy so I’m very lucky.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bill Roache says his former ‘Coronation Street’ co-star Liz Dawn was “one of the most beautiful human beings” he’s ever met.
The veteran actor – who stars as Ken Barlow in the ITV soap – has hailed the actress – who played the iconic Vera Duckworth – following her death on Monday night (25.09.17) aged 77.
In a lengthy tribute to Liz, Bill wrote in The Sun newspaper: “Liz was one of the most beautiful human beings I’ve ever met.
“She was kind. The first to help anybody in trouble. She was an absolute joy.
“Always full of humour with a beautiful look in the eye. A very loving and loveable person. And even though she’s been out of the ‘Street’ for quite a few years, there’s this sense of loss that she’s gone.
“The warmth and the humour that was in Vera came from Liz. You can see it. You can’t act that, it’s something in you that comes over.
“She was great company – always sending herself up as well. Liz was a consummate professional and her comedy timing was brilliant.
“She was a very good professional actress and comedienne as well as being a very kind and loveable person.”
Bill, 85, also hailed Liz’s on-screen chemistry with Bill Tarmey – who played her husband, Jack Duckworth – as being one of the most memorable in the soap’s history.
He recalled: “The relationship of Jack and Vera was one of the iconic, classic partnerships of the ‘Street’.
“They were life’s losers. Everything went wrong but they never gave up.
“They’d always get up and fight. Jack would get on with his pools and his beer and Vera would be trying to make a better life for them.
“They were the valiant little souls fighting the world.
“People identified with that and loved them for that and there was tremendous warmth, humanity and colossal humour. There was a deep-rooted love. She was always pushing Jack to get on and do something with his life.”
Bill added: “With Jack and Vera, and Liz Dawn as a person, I can only think of good things. She was a very beautiful human being.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Hughes has shared the “flirty” text messages he received from Katie Price.
The former ‘Love Island’ contestant – who is in a relationship with his co-star Olivia Attwood – recently claimed the ‘Loose Women’ panellist had been sending him the flirty messages after admitting she found him attractive during his time on the ITV2 reality show.
And after Katie – who recently split from husband Kieran Hayler – took to Twitter to claim “no flirty texts” were sent to the hunk, Chris has fired back with screenshots of the unanswered WhatsApp messages.
In the messages, Katie urges Chris to “be careful” of people who are interested in exploiting him, and even told him to let her know if he would rather she didn’t contact him.
She wrote: “Hey Chris I got your number from a mutual friend I loved meeting you the other day and would love to go shooting if offer still there ! I don’t think your getting my messages are you? I think they are getting deleted I’m not here to cause trouble at all ! Yes you know I like you ! And here for any advice too ! You will just get people wanting to make money out of you so just try be careful ! Hope to hear from you and if you don’t want me to tex or be in Touch I’d rather you tell me xxx (sic)”
After Chris failed to respond to her message, Katie sent a further message some time later, insisting she’s “not after” the 24-year-old hunk.
The message read: “Hey don’t worry I’m not after you it was a faze lol but you on a club PA ? I am too and it’s sooo late where you? I’m in Darlington (sic)”
Previously, Chris recalled receiving the messages from 39-year-old Katie, which he says he thought were “banter” at first, but now believes she wasn’t joking.
He said: “Katie has been sending me messages, but I’ve not been replying. I’ve shown them all to Olivia, so she’s cool with it. At first I thought her being flirty was a bit of banter, but the content of the messages make me think she isn’t joking. It’s very weird to think three months ago no one knew who I was and now I have Katie Price texting me. I bumped into her at the Bradley Lowery charity football match a few weeks ago. It wasn’t awkward, but we didn’t really talk.”
