Candice Brown shut down Eiffel Tower as a teenager

OHMYGOSSIP — Candice Brown “shut down” the Eiffel Tower when she was a teenager.
The 32-year-old chef caused a security nightmare at the Paris landmark during a school trip when she accidentally jammed a lift with her bag.
She recalled: “I shut down the Eiffel Tower when I was 15 on a school trip.
“I got my bag stuck in the lift door, all the lights went off, and they started escorting people downstairs. Then, lots of angry French men walked up all those stairs to come and pull my bag out of the door.
“My teacher told my mum I was the only person that could happen to.”
The ‘Great British Bake Off’ winner also confessed to being so hopeless on the violin, her music teacher had to suggest she stop having lessons and try something else.
She admitted: “I was so bad at the violin that my teacher asked me to stop after three years.
“He just said, ‘I think we need to draw a line under this, Candice.”
Candice drew attention to herself at school when she was a little older with a disastrous home hair dye job.
She recalled: “When I was 16, I tried to put some darker bits in my own hair that went bright blue. My friend’s mum had to cut them out.”
These days, the former P.E. teacher has carved out a successful baking career following her ‘Bake Off’ win, but it frustrates her when people think she is “smug” or “bitchy”.
Asked who owes her an apology, she told Grazia magazine: “Anybody who has ever thought I’m anything other than nice. I worked hard as a teacher to make sure everyone was kind to each other. It gets to me when anyone thinks I’m bitchy…
“People on social media have called me smug and I really don’t like it. I battle with low confidence and smug is something that’s never been a part of me, I’m grateful for everything that comes my way and genuinely amazed at what I’m doing at the moment.”

Ruth Langsford’s Strictly injury

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Langsford has pulled a hamstring while rehearsing for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The TV presenter has put her appearance on tonight’s (30.09.17) show in doubt after injuring herself while going through her dance moves.
In a video on Twitter, she said: “Just before I went down I was in my dressing room, I said: ‘I’ll just familiarise my steps and make sure I know the routine and I kicked my leg out and I’ve pulled a hamstring.
“So here under there is an ice pack wrapped in a tea towel.
“Then I’ve got to have a hot bath, then I’ve got to ice it again, take ibuprofen and the physio said it’s pretty sure it will be okay tomorrow.
“I’ve had no rehearsal. I’m more worried about no rehearsal than I am about my hamstring which is stupid I know.
“Wish me luck – operation get hamstring better begins now!”
Ruth found herself at the bottom of the leaderboard last week after scoring just 16 points from the judges with her professional partner Anton du Beke, but she admitted she was actually proud of herself because she didn’t think she’d be able to remember any of the moves when she was watching and waiting for her fellow competitors to perform.
She previously said: “I can honestly say, I’ve never been so nervous – ever! I’ve done live television for 30 years … but I think it was waiting to go on.
“I made a mistake though. The thing is, Eamonn [Holmes, her husband] did say to me: ‘Oh I did see you do a little trot.’ And I said: ‘There’s no such thing as a trot.’ I have to say, everything the judges said to me was absolutely right.
“When I was on the sofa and Anton was walking towards me, I remember thinking: ‘I don’t think I’m going to be able to get up.’ The thing is, I have handed myself over to ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. You go in and it’s very showbiz, there’s glitter and everyone is rushing around. Actually, the dress rehearsal, if I could’ve just done that, it would have been perfect.
“Anton was fantastic. I was watching everyone and in my eyes they were all brilliant. And at one point I turned to Anton and I said: ‘I’ve forgotten the dance!’ And he said: ‘No you haven’t!’ and I said: ‘No, I have.’ And he took me downstairs – I was trying to go to the exit – and he’s so brilliant and took me away from seeing people.”

Jake Quickenden to join Emmerdale?

OHMYGOSSIP — Jake Quickenden wants to land a role in ‘Emmerdale’.
The former ‘X Factor’ contestant will be appearing as Prince Charming in the pantomime production of ‘Peter Pan – A Musical Adventure’ this festive season and has admitted he’s now got the bug for acting and would like to join a soap in the future.
Speaking to new! magazine, he said: “I’m excited to turn my hand to a bit of acting. It’s a new thing. I’ve been taking acting lessons in Manchester because I wanted to try my hand at a bit of acting anyway. I usually only dance when I’m drunk and I probably can’t be drunk for any of the shows, so that will be different.
“I’m not Leonardo DiCaprio but I’m sure I can work towards that and give it a good go. I’d love to [do soap acting]. Soap acting would be brilliant. I’m definitely up for a bit of brunching out and doing a stint on ‘Emmerdale’.”
Jake’s new job comes just weeks after he proposed to his girlfriend Danielle Fogarty.
He said recently: “I had a whole speech prepared, but as soon as I opened the ring box I was blubbing and I couldn’t speak. I didn’t even ask Danielle to marry me, but luckily she said ‘Yes’ when she saw the ring – and then she started crying too.”
Jake and Danielle have been dating for almost three years, after meeting at the ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!’ wrap party in 2014, which Jake starred in with her dad.

Kim Cattrall’s demands force Warner Bros to cancel Sex and the City 3

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Cattrall’s demands have reportedly caused ‘Sex and the City 3’ to be cancelled.
The 61-year-old actress starred as sexually promiscuous Samantha Jones for six series of the hit TV show and reprised her role in the two subsequent movies, becoming a household name in the process.
Warner Bros. Studios had given the green light for the third film, and the movie was due to start filming in the next coming days.
But the actress demanded the studio to produce other movies she had in development or she wouldn’t sign up for the project, according to Daily Mail TV.
The studio refused to meet her request and cancelled the production as they wanted to entire original cast – which included Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon – to return for their third film.
A source said: “The only reason this movie isn’t being made is because of Kim Cattrall. Everyone was looking forward to making this movie but Kim made it all about her, always playing the victim.
“Kim had the audacity to tell Warner Bros that she would only do this if they made other movies she had in development. Ridiculous. Who does she think she is – George Clooney?”
Another source said that it was only because of the franchise that Cattrall is as popular as she is now, adding that it’s the only thing “she is really known for”.
The insider said: “This franchise made her and let’s be frank, it’s all she is really known for.
“Cast and crew don’t just show up to make a movie, they have to rearrange their lives. People turned down other jobs, were in the process of relocating to New York but she kept stalling and was always unavailable when answers from her were needed.”

Dave Bauitista rejected action roles

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Bautista rejected action hero roles because he wanted to develop as an actor.
The 48-year-old star quit wrestling to pursue a career in acting and has appeared in a number of Hollywood blockbusters, including the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ franchise, but has now revealed he also turned down jobs typical for an ex-wrestler.
Speaking to comicbuzz.com, Bautista said: “When I left wrestling to pursue a career as an actor, I knew it was going to be a long route because I passed on roles, like action roles, which are very typically ex-wrestler roles.
“I wanted to move myself as an actor. I knew I wanted to be an actor.”
Despite starring in the two ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ movies and the Bond film ‘Spectre’, Bautista said it is only now that people are “accepting” him as an actor.
The muscular Hollywood star explained: “Over the last couple of years, it has just started to pay off and people are accepted me as an actor.
“I am getting recognised more and more as an actor. I want to get people to see pass the persona I put on when I was wrestling.
“I wasn’t going to come into a room and intimate everybody or throw chairs around. I wanted to get passed that stereotype.
“I had a hard time getting auditions, and still something I face from job to job.”

Liam Neeson: I’d run away in a fight

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Neeson would run away from a fist fight.
The 65-year-old actor starred as action hero Bryan Mills in the ‘Taken’ franchise, but in contrast to his on-screen character, Liam would have no hesitation in running away at the first sign of trouble.
He explained: “I’ve never been in a real altercation. I’m just being very honest, but I’ve never got into a fight, ever.
“But if I were to, according to the SAS guys I’ve trained with, they all say that no matter how skilled you are physically, at the first sign of a fight in a bar or restaurant, you check where the exit is and leave immediately.
“You don’t try to prove yourself, you just get out.”
Liam recently claimed he was retiring from action movies because of his advancing years.
But the acclaimed actor has now admitted he doesn’t plan to quit the genre just yet.
He told News.com.au: “Maybe I have another year to play those action roles, but that’d be it.
“Otherwise, I’m sure audiences will go, ‘Oh come on! You’re beating up five guys and you’re 65! Get over it!”
In his latest on-screen role, Liam plays the leading character in the new Peter Landesman-directed spy thriller ‘Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House’.
The movie is based on the 2006 autobiography of FBI agent Mark Felt and it depicts how Felt became the anonymous source, otherwise known as Deep Throat, who exposed the Watergate scandal and led to the eventual resignation of US President Richard Nixon.
Comparing the Watergate scandal to the current political landscape in the US, Liam said: “The idea of democracy was at stake back then. Richard Nixon thought he was above the law and there seem to be definite parallels.”

Lynda Carter hits back at James Cameron’s ‘thuggish jabs’

OHMYGOSSIP — Lynda Carter has told James Cameron to stop making “thuggish jabs” towards ‘Wonder Woman’ director Patty Jenkins.
The 66-year-old actress starred as the iconic comic book character before Gal Gadot assumed the role earlier this year, and she’s come out in support of Patty after Cameron said there wasn’t “anything ground-breaking in ‘Wonder Woman'”.
In a post on Facebook, Lynda responded: “To James Cameron -STOP dissing WW: You poor soul. Perhaps you do not understand the character. I most certainly do. Like all women–we are more than the sum of our parts.
“Your thuggish jabs at a brilliant director, Patty Jenkins, are ill advised. This movie was spot on. Gal Gadot was great. I know, Mr. Cameron–because I have embodied this character for more than 40 years. So–STOP IT. (sic)”
Cameron, 63, said earlier this week that while he enjoyed the ‘Wonder Woman’ movie, he didn’t feel it justified the subsequent hype.
Speaking about the film’s biggest star, Cameron explained: “I mean, [Gal] was Miss Israel, and she was wearing a kind of bustier costume that was very form-fitting. She’s absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. To me, that’s not breaking ground.
“So as much as I applaud Patty directing the film and Hollywood, uh, ‘letting’ a woman direct a major action franchise, I didn’t think there was anything ground-breaking in ‘Wonder Woman’. I thought it was a good film. Period.”
Cameron previously spoke out about ‘Wonder Woman’ back in August, when he described the film as a “step backwards”.
At the time, he explained: “All of the self-congratulatory back-patting Hollywood’s been doing over ‘Wonder Woman’ has been so misguided.
“She’s an objectified icon, and it’s just male Hollywood doing the same old thing! I’m not saying I didn’t like the movie but, to me, it’s a step backwards.”

Domhnall Gleeson was ‘wowed’ by the script for Star Wars: The Last Jedi

OHMYGOSSIP — Domhnall Gleeson only committed himself to ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ after being wowed by the movie’s script.
The 34-year-old actor is set to play the part of General Hux – the former head of the First Order’s Starkiller Base – in the much-anticipated new sci-fi movie, and Domhnall has admitted to being surprised by the film after reading the script written by director Rian Johnson.
Of the new ‘Star Wars’ movie and his experience of working with Rian, he shared: “When I read it I needed to talk to him, and I think that’s always a good sign. I was like, ‘Wow there’s some stuff there which is kind of – not scary but different to what I expected,’ and that’s a really, really nice thing.
“I think that’s a really positive thing, I think that’s important for those films that we don’t repeat ourselves.”
Domhnall found the director’s vision for the film to be so clear that he simply couldn’t pass up the opportunity to appear in ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’.
Speaking to Collider, the Irish actor explained: “I just wanted to talk to him, and when I talked to him he was so clear and so confident, not in a brash way but he knew the film he wanted to make, and it was a really lovely thing.
“Just [to] sit down with a filmmaker you really enjoy … but to see him, just the confidence of it and his excitement about what it could be and everything, it was really pleasing to see.”
Domhnall found Rian to be a “calming” influence and he is already eager to work with the acclaimed filmmaker again.
He said: “I got really excited about being in it, and it was a really very, very cool experience working with him. I would love to work with him again, I really enjoyed it.”

Danny Elfman teases a darker Superman in Justice League

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Elfman teases the audience will not know whose side Superman is on in ‘Justice League’.
The Grammy and Emmy Award winning composer has joined the DC Extended Universe movie after ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ composer Antonius Tom Holkenborg departed the project, and has teased the music will be “very dark”.
Speaking to Billboard, the composer said: “There are few little fan moments. I installed a moment of the ‘Wonder Woman’ theme that Hans Zimmer did for ‘Batman v Superman’, but I also had two minutes where I had the pleasure of saying, ‘Let’s do John Williams’ Superman’, and that for me was heaven, because now I have a melody to twist, and I’m using it in an actually very dark way, in a dark moment.
“It’s the kind of thing that some fans will notice. Some won’t. It’s a moment where we’re really not sure whose side he’s on.”
The plot of the ‘Justice League’ is still scarce but not only will the film be bringing together the DC heroes Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and Superman (Henry Cavill).
Elfman also revealed that the rest of the heroes have their own “very simple motifs”.
He said: “I created very simple motifs. There are so many themes, you can’t just do a big theme for everything. So I created a motif for Flash, for Aquaman and Cyborg – but they’re very simple things, and [DC] understood. I said, ‘These things may never be used again, but I’m giving you all the components, should you wish to have things to build on.’
“So they either will or they won’t, but that’s how I approach a project like this. You have to take the attitude that this is the beginning of a mythology and it all matters, it all comes to fruition, and with any luck they will.”
‘Justice League’ hits cinemas in November this year.

Eva Longoria in talks for Dog Days

OHMYGOSSIP — Eva Longoria is in talks for ‘Dog Days’.
The ‘Lowriders’ star is in discussions about joining the likes of Nina Dobrev, Tone Bell and Finn Wolford in the Ken Marino-directed comedy movie about a group of humans brought together by their pet pooches.
According to Deadline, the 42-year-old actress is being lined up to star as loving wife and mother Grace who doesn’t want to disappoint her daughter Amelia when she falls in love with a lost canine.
Elissa Matsueda and Erica Oyama have penned the script for the motion picture, and filming is due to start next month.
Mickey Liddell, Pete Shilaimon, Scott Holoryd, and Jennifer Monroe will produce the project.
The former ‘Desperate Housewives’ star – who married José Bastón last year – is a big fan of dogs herself and shares posts about her four-legged friends on a regular basis on her social media accounts.
The brunette beauty has been known to enjoy a morning selfie with her Maltese mutt, Jinxy, and she has even let the cute canine star alongside her in photoshoots.
Longoria is known more for her TV career than her film roles, but her latest movie, ‘Lowriders’, saw her star alongside Demián Bichir, Gabriel Chavarria and Theo Rossi.
In 2008, the actress appeared opposite Paul Rudd in romantic comedy ‘Over Her Dead Body’ and two years earlier she co-starred with Michael Douglas and Kiefer Sutherland in crime thriller ‘The Sentinel’.

Steven Spielberg won’t watch his own movies

OHMYGOSSIP — Steven Spielberg won’t watch his films.
The legendary Hollywood director doesn’t like to “dwell” on his past movies but will make the exception for science fiction film ‘E.T.’ as he wants to be with his grandchildren when they see it for the first time.
Speaking to E! News, he said: “I don’t dwell … I’ll show my grandkids ‘E.T.’ for the first time. And I’ll love sitting next to them and telling them that he doesn’t really die and ‘It’s only scary for a little while and then you grow to love him.’ I guide them through the experience.”
Meanwhile, the 70-year-old filmmaker previously revealed he loves to “entertain” his grandchildren with stories.
He shared: “Just the joy of being able to make stuff up and the joy of getting them to laugh, or getting them to be scared, knowing that I’m going to rescue them from their fear in about nine seconds.
“That kind of fireside storytelling is the stuff I think dreams are made of. I just love doing it. I’ve always done that. I look forward to it, the same way I look forward to making the next movie.”
Steven has had huge success with his movies and believes his gut instinct when it comes to movie-making is the secret behind his triumphs.
He explained: “It’s not like I’m always being whispered at. It comes when I least expect it. I mainly listen to see if there’s anything urging me forward when I meet a book or a script.
“I have a strong gut feeling about what I’ve just read. It takes a very, very, very quiet, tiny whisper to get me to say, ‘This one is for me. I’m not going to give this away and produce it through my company. I’m taking this for myself.'”

Shane Richie’s album features ‘mid-life crisis’ track

OHMYGOSSIP — Shane Richie’s upcoming country album features a track about his “mid-life crisis”.
The 53-year-old entertainer is most known for his role as Alfie Moon in BBC soap ‘EastEnders’ – a role which he held from 2002 to 2005, before making a return to the show from 2010 until 2016 – but after first releasing a less than successful album in 1997, the star is trying his hand at a music career once again.
Shane’s second album, a country venture entitled ‘A Country Soul’, is due to hit shelves November 17, and the star has revealed one track is a “jolly” number which details his self-doubt surrounding his body since reaching his 50s.
Speaking about the track – which is called ‘Shut Up (‘Cause All I Want Is You)’ and was written with the help of his Rixton frontman son Jake Roche – Shane said: “One time I said to [Christie Goddard, his wife], ‘I’ve put on a bit of weight, I’m going grey at the sides,’ and she said, ‘Oh shut up, all I want is you.’
“It just triggered something inside my head about being a man who’s in his early fifties, what things concern me? And it is that. That was about a mid-life crisis, that song. The lyrics are fairly jolly but anybody of my age kind of starts doubting themselves.
“One of the lines is, ‘I’m dressed up, it’s Friday night, my favourite shirt feels a little tight’. My wife constantly says, ‘Be careful now Shane. You might be housewives’ choice, but they haven’t seen you with your belly out.'”
And the album also includes ‘That Bottle Ain’t Your Friend’, an ode to “himself” regarding his ex-wife Coleen Nolan, whom he split with after his “boozing ways” caused a rift between them.
He told The Sun newspaper: “It’s been fairly well documented, my past, my divorce 20 years ago, was my fault, through my boozing ways. When we were writing that song, I thought, ‘This is almost like an ode to myself’. It was very close to home.”
‘A Country Soul’ features both covers and original songs, and will be available from November 17.
The ‘A Country Soul’ tracklisting is:
1. ‘Heartache On The Dancefloor’ (originally by Jon Pardi)
2. ‘I Loved Her First’ (Heartland)
3. ‘Wave On Wave’ (Pat Green)
4. ‘Shut Up (‘Cause All I Want Is You)’ (original new song)
5. ‘I Won’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me’ (Nik Kershaw)
6. ‘What Hurts The Most’ (Rascal Flatts)
7. ‘Wagon Wheel’ (Darius Rucker)
8. ‘Heartache Tonight’ (The Eagles)
9. ‘That Bottle Ain’t Your Friend’ (original new song)
10. ‘Love The One You’re With’ (Stephen Stills)
11. ‘On and On’ (Stephen Bishop)
12. ‘Drift Away’ (Dobie Gray)
13. ’22 Gardens’ (original new song)

Chris Hughes almost pulled out of Loose Women

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Hughes wouldn’t have done ‘Loose Women’ today (29.09.17) if Katie Price was on the panel.
The ‘Love Island’ hunk has been locked in a bitter row with the 39-year-old former glamour model after he published a series of “flirty” text messages that she allegedly sent him, but it looks like he’s still struggling to get his head around the situation as he told producers of the lunchtime show that he wouldn’t do the episode if she was there.
A source told The Sun Online: “Chris outright refused to go on the show if Katie was there. To him, it’s not hiding, it’s just avoiding unnecessary aggravation.
“He just wants to focus on promoting the new show with Kem. They [him and Katie] got on well initially but now it’ll be too awkward. He knows it wouldn’t be great television so asked nicely if she could not be on.”
The 22-year-old heartthrob fell out with Katie after he claimed the blonde bombshell had been sending him the cheeky messages after admitting she found him attractive during his time on the ITV2 reality show.
And after Katie – who recently split from husband Kieran Hayler – took to Twitter to claim “no flirty texts” were sent to the hunk, Chris fired back with screenshots of the unanswered WhatsApp messages.
In the messages, Katie urged Chris to “be careful” of people who are interested in exploiting him, and even told him to let her know if he would rather she didn’t contact him.
She wrote: “Hey Chris I got your number from a mutual friend I loved meeting you the other day and would love to go shooting if offer still there ! I don’t think your getting my messages are you? I think they are getting deleted I’m not here to cause trouble at all ! Yes you know I like you ! And here for any advice too ! You will just get people wanting to make money out of you so just try be careful ! Hope to hear from you and if you don’t want me to tex or be in Touch I’d rather you tell me xxx (sic)”
After Chris failed to respond to her message, Katie sent a further message some time later, insisting she’s “not after” him.
The message read: “Hey don’t worry I’m not after you it was a faze lol but you on a club PA ? I am too and it’s sooo late where you? I’m in Darlington (sic)”

Stacey Solomon’s labour anger

OHMYGOSSIP — Stacey Solomon was “furious” with her mother for not telling her the realities of childbirth.
The 27-year-old presenter – who has sons Zachary, nine, and Leyton, five – has called for women to speak more openly about labour because she had such a “traumatic” experience with her first child and thinks her subsequent battle with post-natal depression was a result of her ignorance of the process.
She said: “My experience with childbirth was a traumatic one, my age came into it because I was really really young.
“I was furious at my mum, my aunties, every woman in my family, for telling me it would be painful but at the end it would be this wonderful feeling, I’d forget all about the pain, [but] it was traumatic.
“I don’t want to sit here and scare the rest of the woman population, women do it every day and I did it again but I was devastated I wasn’t given the proper run through – this might be a bit gross for lunch time – but I didn’t even know the placenta came out after the baby.
“You laugh but I did not expect this huge giant alien thing to be coming out of me after I’d already spent 22 hours pushing the first alien thingy out.
“I was mortified. I wasn’t told about stitches, or how to deal with it afterwards, it ruined my experience and put me in a dark place and I think it’s so important we speak about our experiences truthfully…
“I suffered post-natal depression after Zachary and I think breastfeeding and unawareness about what I was about to go through were the main contributors to that. I felt very unprepared and unequipped.”
And Stacey insists there were many opportunities for her to be given the full picture, but no one did.
She added on ‘Loose Women’: “I went to anti-natal classes, I asked my mum, I asked my aunties, and all of the women in my family who’d had children, so I asked about it. You go, ‘Is it really gonna hurt?’ And people go, ‘No, would you do it again if it was that bad?’
“If you’ve never broken a bone or been to the gynae, even the fact you’ve got to open your legs to the world and his wife, if that baby isn’t coming out they’ll shove their hands up and rip it out, be honest. I had full on up to the arms, ripping the baby out… They were tugging, they weren’t gently coaxing.”
The former ‘X Factor’ star – who is in a relationship with Joe Swash – advised women who are having babies to take control of their own labour.
She said: “Be in control, don’t let anybody push you around with this because it’s one of the hardest things you’ll do as a human being, let them know how you want to do it.”

Lisa Appleton wants to do I’m A Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Lisa Appleton is desperate to do ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ – but bosses have snubbed her because they don’t think she’s “high profile enough” for the show.
The 49-year-old reality TV star has reportedly reached out to producers of the creepy-crawly series as she’s keen to head Down Under later this year and compete for the jungle crown, but the organisers are adamant she’d never make the cut.
A source told The Sun Online:”Only a few people knew that Lisa had been in touch with the ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ team. They were interested, but in the end they said they weren’t going to offer her a spot this time.”
However, an insider close to the show added: “I’m sure she’s [Lisa] a lovely lady, but she’s just not high profile enough for the show.”
The former ‘Big Brother’ star is currently in Los Angeles in a bid to carve out a career across the pond after she recently underwent a dramatic makeover.
The brunette babe reportedly splashed out £7,000 on her appearance – including liposuction, having fat removed from her eyelids and a face and neck lift.
She said recently: “I look 20 years younger now! I look like a sexy Bond Girl and I could definitely give Sophie Anderton a run for her money! I’ve been feeling like a mummy walking around in bandages for the past few weeks.
“I knew surgery was something I wanted to do to help me feel better. I started looking at photos of myself and I didn’t like what I saw. I had a big belly and three chins. I’d always been fit and healthy and I wanted the old me back.”

Louise Redknapp became ‘fearles’ after Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Louise Redknapp thinks ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ forced her to become “fearless”.
The 42-year-old singer was runner-up on BBC One’s popular dance competition last year, and though the experience left the star feeling “terrified” every week, it also revived her love for being on stage and made her shed all of her inhibitions.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Friday (29.09.17), the ‘Stuck In The Middle of You’ hitmaker said: “Going through the process of ‘Strictly’ every week you are put out there, every week you feel terrified.
“You can’t explain how terrified you feel because not only are you putting yourself out there to be judged but you’re hoping the audience don’t send you home and they like what you do. And if you go home it’s obviously a bit of a slap in the face.
“I think that experience made me really realise how much I love being on stage and sometimes in life you have to be fearless, and it’s really hard, especially when you get older to be fearless you are more aware of everyone around you.”
Louise has recently been plagued with rumours she and her husband Jamie Redknapp – who have sons Beau and Charles together – have separated, but she is not letting speculation surround her relationship destroy her career as she will mkae hermusical theatre debut in ‘Cabaret’ soon and will go on tour next year.
Although the former Eternal band member will be returning to the stage, she has insisted she is not trying to be a “pop star” again.
She added: “It’s really small live intimate gigs. It’s been 25 years since our first record came out, so the whole concept of us going back out on the road, is really a bit more of a celebratory – I’m not trying to be a pop star again. I’m just going back out and singing and re-working some old hits and re-introducing a couple of new ones, it’s all a really fun, intimate gig. And really a bit of a thank you, because I am so fortunate to be in this industry after so many years … you only stay here for how long people are interested and want to watch you.”
