BBC Four to air first ever international sci-fi drama

OHMYGOSSIP — BBC Four are set to air a new French science-fiction drama series named ‘Missions’.
The new ten part series will mark the first international drama aired by the channel – which it acquired from AB International Distribution – and the production will depict the first-ever manned journey to Mars launched by the Swiss billionaire William Meyer, who will be portrayed by Mathias Mlekuz.
Helene Vivies will also star in the production, which was created by Henri Debeurme, Julien Lacombe and Ami Cohen, as she has been cast as one of the eight astronauts who accompanied Meyer on his voyage.
The programme will follow the 10 month space journey and explore the moment Meyer and his team were overtaken by a rival American mission in a bid to be the first men to land on the planet.
But after receiving a distress call from their rivals, the French team’s mission became a rescue attempt.
However, when the group landed they discovered a survivor who wasn’t from the American spacecraft and was, in fact, a Russian named Vladimir Komarov, who died on a previous mission back in 1967.
And the broadcasting channel are “excited” to bring the “tense, taught drama” to their network.
The editor of BBC Four, Cassian Harrison, said: “After travelling the globe with our international dramas, it’s exciting to now head off into space to a planet as yet unexplored.
“‘Missions’ is tense, taught drama at its finest and it’s a real honour to be showing it on BBC Four.”
And AB International’s Valerie Vleeschhouwer is also “thrilled” BBC Four will be broadcasting the new drama.
She said: “We are thrilled about the upcoming broadcast of ‘Missions’ on BBC Four and that the network has chosen this bold and unique sci-fi series.”
The BBC Head of Programme Acquisition, Sue Deeks, believes BBC Four’s audience will be “glad” when the show hits the screen.
Sue Deeks, BBC Head of Programme Acquisition, said: “Set against a stunning backdrop of outer space, ‘Missions’ is very much a human story about a team of remarkable people brought together on the adventure of a lifetime.
“When things don’t go to plan, a truly original and suspenseful story unfolds. I’m sure this is a mission BBC Four’s viewers will be glad they boarded.”

Len Goodman releasing new album

OHMYGOSSIP — Len Goodman is releasing a new album entitled ‘Len’s Legends: Best of British’ comprised of all the music that has helped shape his career, including a track that was recorded by his late friend Bruce Forsyth.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge has created a 3-CD compilation LP which will be available on Sony Music from November 24 and features a host of tracks which have influenced both his dance career and the most memorable moments of his life.
‘Pick Yourself Up’ was written in 1936 by Jerome Kern, with lyrics by Dorothy Fields and features a 32 bar chorus though with an extended coda and a rhyming scheme.
Other artists to feature on the record include Dame Shirley Bassey, Queen, Dusty Springfield, Sir Elton John, Sir Tom Jones, Acker Bilk and Anthony Newley among many more.
When he was making his choices for the LP, Len knew he wanted to include a song recorded by his dear pal and former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ colleague Bruce – who died in August at the age of 89.
Len, 73, said: “I am so pleased to be able to celebrate in music what the UK has given to the world. What better way to pay tribute to my friend Sir Bruce Forsyth whose charisma and talent was the leading light in British talent and has the power to live on and be remembered forever.”
Although he achieved huge fame through his role as the head judge on the BBC One series from when it first began in 2004 until he left in 2016, Len’s dance career began at the age of 21 and he devoted his life to mastering ball room and Latin and became a four-time British champion as well as becoming an expert teacher and judge.
After making the decision to step away from his ‘Strictly…’ job last year – being replaced by Shirley Ballas – Len has hosted quiz show, ‘Partners In Rhyme’ for the BBC, continued his radio broadcasting and released two other compilation albums.

Ruth Langsford steals blonde wig off Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Langsford has kept the blonde wig she wore on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ on Saturday (07.10.17).
The 57-year-old television presenter adorned a false hair piece during her rumba on the weekend, and the star – who has been paired with dance professional Anton Du Beke on the popular BBC One dance competition – has sneakily taken the hair extensions home with her, although all of the contestants are forbidden from leaving the studio with their costumes.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Monday (09.10.17), the ‘This Morning’ co-host said: “You can’t take nothing.
“I am just borrowing it. Because I love it so much.”
And Ruth has revealed she was “swishing” her long locks for the entire day prior to her performance because she has never had long hair and was not used to the style.
She continued: “[It felt] amazing. I have never had longhair in my life. My hair is so fine. I grow it to about here [shoulder length].
“I did swishing literally all day. I had the wig on from about 9o’clock in the morning and the whole time I was doing a lot of [swishing]. But I realised when you eat you have to put your hair to one side. I loved it. ”
And Ruth was not the only person who enjoyed the makeover, as husband Eamonn Holmes also “loved” her new do.
She said: “He [Eamonn] loved it.”
Ruth has insisted she will return the wig, and has joked the reason she still has the item is because she is “a bit forgetful”.
She said: “I am bringing this one back ‘Strictly’, I promise. I am just being a bit forgetful.”
However, Ruth plans to steal more wigs over the coming weeks.
She said: “I am taking a wig home every week.”
Ruth also slipped into a glamorous evening dress featuring a daring thigh-high split to transform into a Bond girl, and she had to “warn” her 15-year-old son Jack in advance that she would be wearing the provocative attire and would be carrying out certain gestures during the routine, much to his disapproval.
She said: “I did warn him [son] I said ‘I have got to warn you at the very first I am supposed to be a bit [raunchy], and I have to do this [pose].’ And he said ‘Oh mum’.”

Ruth Langsford’s son ’embarrassed’ by her Strictly outfit

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Langsford’s 15-year-old son was “embarrassed” by her latest ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ attire.
The 57-year-old TV presenter’s husband Eamonn Holmes was a huge fan of her outfit for Saturday night’s (07.10.17) show, for which she slipped into a glamorous evening dress featuring a daring thigh-high split to transform into a Bond girl – but their boy Jack was not quite as impressed.
She explained: “He said, ‘Bet I’ll get some comments about that at school on Monday.’
“That opening shot of me trying to be sultry was maybe a bit embarrassing for him.”
Ruth also donned a blonde wig for her rumba to 007 theme tune ‘Diamonds are Forever’ with professional partner Anton Du Beke as Eamonn and Jack watched on from the audience, and she admitted the teen has been a great help throughout the process.
She added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “He’s really supportive.”
Ruth and Anton’s rumba only earned them a score of 15 but they managed to avoid the dreaded dance-off which saw Reverend Richard Coles and his professional partner Dianne Buswell take on celebrity chef Simon Rimmer and Karen Clifton.
But sadly for the rev – a former member of The Communards – all four judges, Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Craig Revel-Horwood, and Bruno Tonioli, opted to save the top cook, sending the priest packing.
Last Thursday (05.10.17), Ruth revealed she had a “meltdown” after her rehearsal because she was struggling to master the steps for her rumba.
In a video uploaded to her Twitter account she said: “I had a real meltdown at ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ training with Anton today. Well not meltdown as in anger, I just started crying.”
She accompanied the clip with the caption: “OMG….I actually cried at training today with @mrantondubeke Awks!! He was lovely about it of course. Flippin’ Rumba! (sic)”

Emmerdale’s Moira Barton to have post-natal depression

OHMYGOSSIP — Emmerdale’s Moira Barton will suffer from post-natal depression.
The farm owner – portrayed by Natalie J. Robb – gave birth to a beautiful baby boy last week, despite not knowing she was pregnant, after she was caught up in a barn blaze with her arch enemy Emma Barton (Gillian Kearney), but things look set to get tough for Moira as she struggles to bond with her son out of fear she’ll let him down following the tragic death of her daughter Holly (Sophie Powles) last year.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Natalie said: “Moira hasn’t been looking after herself, and if anything, because of her age, she probably thought she was menopausal. What you’re going to see is Moira struggling to bond with the baby.
“She also has this fear inside her that she might not be able to save this baby because of what happened to Holly [who died of a drugs overdose].
“She feels responsible for Holly’s death and she keeps thinking about how she’d cope if it happened again. It’s very daunting for her and sadly it’s only going to get worse.”
Moira is also riddled with guilt as she’s been boozing and “doing stuff she shouldn’t have been doing” while she was pregnant because she didn’t know she was expecting.
The 42-year-old actress said: “Of course it came as a bit of a shock, but this is soapland, and I’ve learnt to expect the unexpected.
“I was able to speak to a lady who’d had a baby and didn’t know she was pregnant. It was her fifth child and she said that afterwards she felt a tremendous amount of guilt about all the things she’d done because she didn’t know she was pregnant.
“You’ll have a drink without thinking about it and do things that you probably shouldn’t have. The main thing is you feel very guilty and defensive because no-body believes that you didn’t know.”

Joe McFadden has no energy for Strictly romance

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe McFadden doesn’t have the “energy” for a hot romance on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The ‘Holby City’ star – who is currently single – insists he won’t be finding love on the BBC One latin and ballroom show because he just doesn’t have time to fit a romance around his training.
He said: “I don’t know when anyone would have the time for romance, to be perfectly honest.
“I get home at night and I’m exhausted. All I can do is get myself something to eat and then fall into bed. Sometimes I have time for a hot bath, but that’s about it. I can’t imagine having the energy for anything else.”
And the 42-year-old actor was romantically linked to fellow ‘Strictly’ star Mollie King and whilst he was “very flattered” by it, he insists it isn’t true.
He added: “The Mollie King report was ridiculous. Just because we were stood rehearsing a dance one day, a certain newspaper decided that we must be together. I found it very flattering that anyone would even entertain that idea but it’s absolute nonsense. Nope, that’s not on the cards for me on this show – certainly not.”
Joe hasn’t been in a relationship “in recent times” and puts it down to working too hard.
He shared: “I don’t know why I’m single. I must be unlovable, I don’t know. Who knows?
“Maybe I work too hard. I’ve not been in a relationship in recent times. No, I’ve been working very hard in Holby and committing my time to that.”
And with some ‘Strictly’ training under his belt, Joe is hoping to woo the ladies with his dance moves at the local nightclub in a bid to find a girlfriend.
He quipped to the Daily Record newspaper: “Maybe I’ll unleash my new dance moves on the local nightclub at Christmastime and see what happens.”

Julie Goodyear turned down jungle for smoking addiction

OHMYGOSSIP — Julie Goodyear once turned down the chance to do ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ because she couldn’t manage the 24-hour flight without puffing on a cigarette.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ star was approached by bosses of the reality TV show a few years back but, although she would’ve loved to have taken part in the gruelling challenges and set up home in the jungle for three weeks, she had to refuse the offer because the long-haul flight to Australia would’ve prevented her from smoking.
Former ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ producer Lisa Mary London made the revelation in her new book called ‘Reality Rehab’ and, according to the Daily Star newspaper, she said: “Soap legend Julie Goodyear frustrated me when she rang in person to say she’d love to do the show if we could get her to Australia by boat. A 23-hour flight without frequent cigarette breaks was out of the question for the chain-smoking soap diva.”
The 75-year-old soap legend is certainly no stranger to reality TV as she took part in ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ in 2012 but her fellow housemates couldn’t believe how many cigarettes she puffed on a day – leading to her being nicknamed ‘The Chimney Pot’.
‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ will return to screens next month for another instalment Down Under and, although the line up hasn’t been confirmed, it’s believed tennis legend Boris Becker has signed up to the new series, as well as Gemma Collins following her failed stint, which saw her leave after 72 hours, in 2014.
However, filming for the promotional advert is currently behind schedule as Ant McPartlin – who presents the show with Declan Donnelly – continues his recovery.
A source said: “It would have been the first day filming but with Ant away, there is no way they could get started.”
The 41-year-old star spent two months in rehab for painkiller addiction earlier this year but is said to be making good progress and will be ready to host the show.

Len Goodman backing Debbie McGee for Strictly success

OHMYGOSSIP — Len Goodman is backing Debbie McGee to win this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 58-year-old star – who was married to the late magician Paul Daniels – and her professional partner Giovanni Pernice has wowed viewers week on week with her impressive dancing and now the BBC One latin and ballroom show’s former head judge Len is backing Debbie to take home the Glitterball trophy.
He said: “It’s wonderful that there is someone older on the show who is really good. It would be great to see her win. It’s been a while since an older person has been really good on the show and it’s always nice to see. Pamela Stephenson got into the final, but that was a while ago.
“You know the people in their twenties who have been in a pop group or been to stage school are going to do really well. One of the joys of ‘Strictly’ is having a surprise contender. Last year was a good example with Ore Oduba – he was just a sports commentator and who’d have thought he was going to be such a good dancer. That’s what’s lovely.”
And Len – who left his role on the judging panel last year, which he had held for 12 years – would love to go and see the show once he gets back to the UK.
He told The Sun newspaper: “I’m hoping I can go to watch it live when I get back to the UK, hopefully the final or semi-final. I’d love to do that.”
Meanwhile, Debbie’s sister Donna previously revealed her “sparkle” has returned since competing on ‘Strictly’.
Donna said: “I have seen a change in her, I have seen her happy again, and she has a sparkle in her face. She is putting in as many hours training as she can, normally nine hours upwards, and she is exhausted.”

Celebrity Big Brother to get all-female series

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ is set to get an all-female series.
Bosses of the reality TV series are keen to bag some of the biggest names in showbiz – albeit girls only – for the next instalment of the Channel 5 show at the beginning of 2018 in order to mark 100 years since women won the right to vote.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Channel 5 wants to make a real splash as part of their women’s vote celebrations.
“They are keen to cast opinionated women like Germaine Greer over no-mark reality TV girls who look good but have little to say or bring to the conversation. Bosses are expecting cat fights galore, plenty of tension and clashing personalities.”
The twist comes after production company Endemol vowed to refresh the format of the show this year in order to beat its competitor ‘Love Island’ in the ratings war.
Endemol’s Peter Salmon said: “‘Big Brother’ has got to last. You have to roll your sleeves up and renew it for a different generation. It is having a tougher competitive time in the UK but it’s huge around the world. ‘Love Island’ has been sensational. If ‘Big Brother’ is not on top form, we have to keep changing it.”
Producers of the show are constantly trying to think outside the box when it comes to the format as earlier this year they did an ‘All Star vs. New Star’ special, in which former celebrity contestants joined the refurbished house alongside some new faces.
However, despite having the likes of James Jordan and Calum Best back inside the infamous abode, Channel 5 boss Ben Frow has admitted he’s not keen on spending millions of pounds on a programme that sees a continuous plummet in ratings.
He said: “I would be much happier with a channel that didn’t have ‘Big Brother’ on it [the schedule]. I love the ratings but I want to create our own programmes.”

Kieron Richardson signs new contract with Hollyoaks

OHMYGOSSIP — Kieron Richardson has signed a new contract with ‘Hollyoaks’.
Fans of the Channel 4 soap were worried the 31-year-old actor – who became a father to twins Chase and Phoebe over the summer – had quit the show after his alter-ego Ste Hay was arrested for the brutal murder of his ex-girlfriend Amy Barnes (Ashley Slanina-Davies) earlier this year but, now that he has been cleared of the crime, the hunk has confirmed he’ll be sticking around in the Cheshire village.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Kieron said: “I’ve signed a new contract this year, which is massively exciting because it means I’m going to be doing my 1,000th episode. Considering the show has only done 4,000 episodes, it’s a massive achievement.”
And Kieron has teased that bosses are planning to give him a special episode to mark his milestone but, at the moment, he doesn’t know what they have in mind.
He explained: “I think there’s going to be some nod to the 1,000 episode marker, but I don’t know what it’ll be yet. Maybe they’ll do nothing in the end, but I’m still super proud to have survived 1,000 episodes and not been killed off!
“Even after doing all those episodes, I still feel like I’m learning every single day and that’s the beauty of being in ‘Hollyoaks’.
“All the time, amazing new actors are coming in, younger kids are joining the show and I’m still trying to steal bits of what they do to put into my character.”
Kieron doesn’t know what producers have in store for Ste over the next coming months, but he’d liked to see his character get back together with Harry Thompson (Parry Glasspool) – even though he has revealed he accidentally killed Amy.
He explained: “I know it’s going to be very tough for Ste and Harry to get past this situation. Don’t forget that Harry didn’t call an ambulance for Amy and he let Ste go to prison. So not only did Leah and Lucas lose their mum, they lost their dad too thanks to Harry not speaking up. I don’t think it’ll happen overnight, but it’ll be nice for them to get back together, just for Ste to be more settled in his relationships.”

Reverend Richard Coles voted off Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Reverend Richard Coles has been booted from ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 55-year-old musician and Church of England priest became the second celebrity to leave the BBC Latin and ballroom dance competition on Sunday (08.10.17), after failing to impress the voting public with his Pasodoble and landing himself in the dance-off.
Richard was forced to dance his routine – which was based on the movie ‘Flash Gordon’ – alongside professional partner Dianne Buswell for a second time when he became one of two pairs to face the dreaded dance off, with the other being Simon Rimmer and professional partner Karen Clifton.
And, after both pairs had danced again, it was Richard who was shown the door after all four judges – Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Craig Revel-Horwood, and Bruno Tonioli – decided to save celebrity chef Simon.
Darcey said before casting her vote: “This is always incredibly difficult because they both made improvements to their dance but the couple I would like to save, just for a better technical dance, is Simon and Karen.”
But the Reverend – who landed himself at the bottom of the leaderboard this week after scoring just 14 points – wasn’t too disheartened to be leaving the show, as he said “it’s been a joy” to take part.
Speaking after the judge’s votes were cast, he said: “It’s been a joy. Every minute of it I’ve enjoyed, even when Dianne was hissing through her teeth ‘feet, frame, feet, frame’, it’s been completely joyous. I only forgot to reckon into my strategy that I can’t actually dance!
“[There’s been] So many highlights, I think really it’s coming together as a group of people, fellow celebs and pro dancers. It has just been a really really wonderful experience. And also it’s really important that none of this would have happened if it wasn’t for the fantastic crew, wardrobe, hair and make-up, production, the fantastic band and the judges too.”
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ will be back next Saturday (14.10.17) on BBC One.

Carrie Fisher should have been focus of Star Wars IX

OHMYGOSSIP — Carrie Fisher was supposed to take centre stage in ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’.
The screen legend – who passed away last December – had returned to the franchise alongside fellow veterans Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill in the seventh installment of the series, ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ and had been filming ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ before her death.
And though Mark – who plays Luke Skywalker – has promised fans will “love” her turn as general Leia Organa in the upcoming new film, he admitted movie bosses have had to create a new ending for her character.
Speaking at New York Comic Con, he said: “You’re going to really love her in [‘Last Jedi’].
“I know they’re going to try and find a way to close her story in [Episode] Nine that gives her the respect she deserves, because [Han Solo] was more prominent in [‘The Force Awakens’], Luke’s a little more prominent in Eight, and certainly Leia was meant to be more prominent in Nine.
“Worldwide, everyone feels that gap she left. But we all have to hang in there. And if she’s out there somewhere, we have to give her the one-finger salute. Come on everybody, for Carrie.”
And Mark admitted he has really missed Carrie’s presence on set, but he thinks his feelings are “selfish”, especially because the actress’ own daughter, Billie Lourd, is now a part of the franchise and things are even harder for her to deal with.
He said: “Ordinarily, her timing was exquisite, but in this case, it’s heartbreakingly difficult to even acknowledge the loss. And I’m selfish about it. I talk about, ‘Oh, she would’ve made things so much more fun.’
“But think about what Billie’s going through. Not only to lose her mom, but the very next day, her grandmother? It’s just unimaginable. I can’t think of anything quite like it.”
Meanwhile, the 66-year-old actor hinted fans will see a more cynical and downbeat side to his character in ‘The Last Jedi’.
He said: “No one just wants to see a retread of Obi-Wan Kenobi. We’ve seen the benevolent Jedi master training people.
“In the trailer, “Luke says, ‘I only know one truth: It’s time for the Jedi to end.’ You haven’t figured out what Luke’s been doing for 30 years, (but) how does the most optimistic character in all the movies get to that point? It won’t be much longer now until you find out.”

Idris Elba’s movie therapy

OHMYGOSSIP — Idris Elba found making ‘The Mountain Between Us’ an “interesting therapy session”.
The 45-year-old actor – who has two children Isan, 16, and Winston, three, from past relationships – spent a lot of time filming in isolation with 41-year-old co-star Kate Winslet, who has three kids from three marriages, and they got close by swapping stories about their personal lives so they could make their bond seem more “realistic”.
He said: “We both come with life experience, to say the least, like our characters do.
“And that’s great because you don’t have to make that s**t up.
“Kate and I talked about all the times we’ve fallen in love, and what those feelings are like.
“I wanted it to be relatable. Of course, it’s a survival movie and what’s the plausibility of people people landing on a mountain? Making love and all that? We wanted to make it realistic.
“It was an interesting therapy session for me.”
The ‘Beasts of No Nation’ actor feels “lucky” because he has been able to avoid racial stereotypes in his work and got his big break at a time when he wasn’t being typecast.
He told Red magazine: “I avoided being stereotyped from a young age because I didn’t want to play one character for the rest of my life.
“I don’t just want to play bad guys or the funny best mate.
“I was lucky because I was part of a young set that were breaking through at a time when producers would actually say, ‘I want a black guy for this character’ [even if it wasn’t in the script].
“Chiwetel Ejiofor was coming up at the same time Back then, if you hadn’t been to drama school, you weren’t getting anywhere.
“And here I was, no knowledge of Shakespeare but I was going up against all these boys from drama school and getting work.”

Emma Stone’s lucky role

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Stone felt very “lucky” to play Billie Jean King in ‘Battle of the Sexes’.
The 28-year-old actress portrays the US sporting legend in the upcoming biopic, which looks at the sporting ace’s famous 1973 showdown with male player Bobby Riggs – played by Steve Carell – who had come out of retirement to play her in a challenge match, and she was privileged to get the chance to “dig into” the psyche of such an “inspirational” figure.
She said: “She’s such an inspirational figure and getting to dig into her psyche at age 29 snf how she’s shifted and grown over her life was an amazing thing to do, it was a very lucky thing.”
And Emma admitted there is still a “long way to go” in closing the gender pay gap.
Speaking to Empire at a screening of the film at the London Film Festival on Saturday (07.10.17) night, she said: “Something Billie Jean talks about is she’d get a lot of people coming up to her and saying, ‘Billie Jean, I watched the Battle of the Sexes – the original match in 73 – and I went to work the next day and asked for a raise.’ ‘Did you get it?’
“And they’re like, ‘Yeah because I asked for it, but you empowered me to ask for it.’
“She can speak more about that than I can, but there’s still a long way to go.”
Meanwhile, Emma’s co-star, Andrea Riseborough, has hailed the film as being very “important” because of the ways the tennis legend pioneered social changes.
She said: “This is an important movie because Billie is an important person. What she did for social change was phenomenal.”
And directors Valerie Faris and Jonathan Dayton insisted the film is more than just a “tennis movie”.
Valerie said: “It wasn’t a tennis movie, it’s more about their personal stories, both Bobby Riggs’ and Billie Jean King’s. I think she was prepared for that and it’s what she wanted.”

Rev. Richard Coles trains for Strictly in underwear

OHMYGOSSIP — Rev. Richard Coles trains for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in his underwear.
The pop star-turned-cleric accidentally forgot his kit one day, so had to strip to his vest and pants, and his performance impressed his professional partner Dianne Buswell so much, she’s suggested he make it a regular thing.
Dianne said: “He was as free as a bird and loved it. It was the best he ever danced so I said he can dance like that once a week – but not on TV.”
The 27-year-old dancer has forged a great bond with Richard and always enjoys their sessions together.
She said: “I can’t stop smiling when I’m dancing with him.
“And his stories are incredible. He’s really good friends with Princess Diana’s family. He was showing me where he stays when he goes to the house, Princess Diana’s old room, and I just think, ‘Wow’. ”
However, Diane admitted Richard isn’t a natural dancer and takes a while to pick up their routines, but she believes he’ll be popular with the public.
She told HELLO! magazine: “I wouldn’t say he’s quick at picking routines up. And it can be a little awkward when he’s doing it. But he can count music, which is great. But I think the public will get behind him because he is such a great character – and he’s loving it.”

Natalie J. Robb enjoys kissing scenes with Jeff Hordley

OHMYGOSSIP — Natalie J. Robb enjoyed her kissing scenes with Jeff Hordley.
The 42-year-old actress understands why fans want her ‘Emmerdale’ alter ego Moira Barton to get back with Cain Dingle because she likes working with the actor, but she insists there’s never any real-life romantic undertones to their screen time.
Asked if fans ask when they’re getting back together, she told OK! magazine: “Yes, and they’re always saying how lucky I am that I get to kiss Jeff Hordley.
“I’m not going to lie, those scenes aren’t unpleasant. Anyone who says they are is lying.
“Me and Jeff are friends though, so it doesn’t feel like it would if you were on a date.”
Meanwhile, the brunette beauty would love to find love and settle down in the near future, but she’s adamant she’d rather wait for the “right person” to pop up in her life than for her to join dating apps like Tinder and Bumble.
She said recently: “I have no time to date anyway. I would rather wait for the right person to come along, I’m not in a hurry.
“I am definitely not on Tinder or anything like that. Oh my goodness, no. Could you imagine Mucky Moira popping up on someone’s phone? Nothing against other people who want to do that, but I’ll wait for the right person to come along.”
And Natalie has a strict criteria when it comes to what type of men will win her heart as she doesn’t want someone who will talk back to her.
She said: “I don’t know whether it is with social media now, but the dating scene and apps like Tinder have stopped people going out to meet as much as they used to do.
“I would rather meet someone by the way, fate bringing us together. Who would be my dream man? One who doesn’t talk back to me, one that can put me in my place. Somebody honest, loyal and who makes me laugh.”
