Nicole Scherzinger may quit X Factor?

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Scherzinger may quit ‘The X Factor’.
The 39-year-old singer has sat on the panel for two consistent years after show boss Simon Cowell brought her back alongside Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh in 2016, but it looks like the burnette beauty is ready to walk away from her seat on the panel after the current series concludes because she wants to focus on her music career.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she teased: “If I don’t come back it’s not because I don’t love it. It’s because I’m a singer first. Every artist needs that time out to reflect. It’s hard. It can be lonely, I’m always on the road, always by myself.”
However, although she hasn’t given up her seat for definite, Simon will have no trouble replacing her as he has admitted he’d love to have his friend Cheryl Tweedy back.
The 58-year-old music mogul brought the former Girls Aloud star back for a short stint as his guest during the Judges’ Houses round and is now keen to persuade her to rejoin the programme on a permanent basis for the series in 2018.
Asked whether Simon would have her back on the panel, he said: “We’ll consider it. Let’s wait till the end of the show… maybe [current judges Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne] don’t want come back [next year and there will be a space on the panel]. Let’s see what happens, I wouldn’t rule anything out.”
And, although the 34-year-old beauty hasn’t ruled out the possibility of a return, the ‘Call My Name’ singer wants to spend some more time with her seven-month-old son Bear.
She explained: “I want to be with Bear a little bit longer. It has just been me and him and I’m just loving being a mother at the moment.
“I’ve got time – I’ve got that luxury lifestyle and some mothers don’t have that luxury and have to get back to work. I’m just taking it as I can but I do love the show.”

Gemma Collins to sue the BBC following Teen Awards fall?

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins plans to sue the BBC following her fall at the Radio 1 Teen Awards on Sunday (22.10.17).
The reality TV star was left nursing a bad back and bruises after she dramatically fell through a trap door at the event, and she has now revealed she’s consulted her lawyer and plans to sue the broadcaster.
She said: “I’m in total shock. It is a miracle I am living to tell the tale.
“I could have died or at least been disabled at the end of it. I could have been legless. Legless!”
The 36-year-old star feared she was being crushed by a hydraulic platform that was raising ‘Love Island’s Amber Davies, Jamie Jewitt and Marcel Somerville at the SSE Arena in London.
Gemma said she wasn’t told in advance how the production would work, adding that when she fell she thought she was “dead”.
Recalling the incident, she told The Sun newspaper: “I’m not being funny, I didn’t even get a tenner for turning up. I didn’t even know there was a hole there.
“To be honest when it happened I didn’t know where I was, what day of the week it was. No joke, my life did flash before my eyes. I thought I was dead.
“People couldn’t see it, but underneath the stage there’s a lot of machinery and the ‘Love Island’ people were coming up on a platform.
“When I actually went down into the pit, they were screaming, ‘Get her up because her legs are going to get crushed, her legs are going to get crushed’.”
Gemma also claimed that no one at the BBC has apologised for the incident, and she confirmed she plans to pursue the issue with her lawyer.
She said: “I’ve got to consult a lawyer, yeah. The BBC, they’ve not been in touch with any compensation or anything – or even an apology.
“It’s very important this gets sorted out because really you know what it is – it’s negligence. Do you know what I find shocking? The BBC hasn’t sent any flowers. Nothing.”

Craig Revel Horwood’s Strictly hip battle

OHMYGOSSIP — Craig Revel Horwood is suffering “immense pain” during ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ episodes after putting off a hip operation.
The 52-year-old show judge – a former professional dancer – is said to be battling to stay fit for the remainder of the series after being left in “complete agony” due to the injury.
A show source said: “He had a hip replaced in 2013 but now he needs the other one doing. Doing the smallest things causes him immense pain.
“He is fighting through it to see the rest of the series out.”
Craig’s hip injury was not helped by a fall on Saturday night’s (21.10.17) show when he tumbled off his chair while doing an impression of fellow panellist Bruno Tonioli.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: “He may only have been larking around but he’s actually in agony.”
In 2014, Craig revealed undergoing a hip operation had changed his life, and he blamed the injury on dancing, ballet, arthritis and suffering from anorexia during his younger years.
He previously said: “I had worn out both hip joints from dancing and ballet, and it was made worse by the fact that I have arthritis. My mother suffers from rheumatoid arthritis but I have osteoarthritis.
“Ironically, I am the patron of the National Osteoporosis Society which is all about keeping bones healthy. I had put my body through an enormous amount of stress and strain. I was also anorexic when I was younger, which didn’t help, because it causes malnutrition of the bones, coupled with the dancing, which makes it worse.”
A spokesman for Craig said: “No date has yet been set for his operation.”
In 2015, Craig’s fellow judge Darcey Bussell underwent hip surgery despite previously saying she was hoping to avoid it by taking supplements.
Speaking in 2007, she said: “Damage to the hip joints is progressive, but with a good diet, supplements such as glucosamine (which reduces inflammation) and chondroitin (which slows cartilage breakdown), plus gentle exercise, I just pray I will be able to avoid the surgery.
“Even when I think of the pain I have endured and the degradation of my hips, I can’t say I regret dancing. It’s been a joy for me.”

Tessa Thompson to play MCU’s first LGBT character

OHMYGOSSIP — Tessa Thompson has revealed her part in ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ will be the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first LGBT character.
The 34-year-old actress will play elite fighter Valkyrie in the upcoming third film in the trilogy – the latest movie in the expansive MCU franchise – and she’s admitted she will be the first explicitly non-heterosexual character in the film franchise.
Responding a fan question on social media, the star tweeted: “She’s bi. And yes, she cares very little about what men think of her. What a joy to play! (sic)”
However, it has been reported by ScreenRant.com that the character’s sexuality isn’t expressed outright in the film, although comic book fans will be aware of Valkyrie and her sexuality, where it has been explored in detail.
Tessa stars alongside Chris Hemsworth as the titular Thor, Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk), Tom Hiddleston (Loki) and Cate Blanchett (Hera).
Meanwhile, Jeff Goldblum (Grandmaster) recently revealed that director Taika Waititi asked the ‘Jurassic Park’ actor to improvise many of his scenes in the movie, with “a lot” of the stars’ dialogue not coming directly from the script.
Goldblum said: “We improvised a lot of the movie. For a movie like this, I have done movies before where I have improvised and I love to, because it’s a big, big epic kind of movie, but those people over in Marvel, they know what they are doing.
“They can make a big movie like this but trust Taika to give it an independent feeling. Taika said we are going to improvise and have fun.
“When we got to the set and I made things up and he made things up. He would do something like look at the character and say this and talk about this. I trust them and they trusted us.”

Naomi Watts to star in The Wolf Hour

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomi Watts will star in upcoming psychological thriller ‘The Wolf Hour’.
The 49-year-old actress has been cast in the new film from director Alistair Banks Griffin, in which she will also serve as an executive producer.
The movie will see Watts starring as a woman who lives alone in the Bronx, New York, having once been a celebrated counter-culture figure who has almost cut herself off from society.
It’s set after the notorious Son of Sam serial killer who struck between 1976 and 1977, with David Berkowitz pleading guilty to six murders.
The horrific series of deaths inspired the 1999 movie ‘Summer of Sam’, and it’s these incidents that leave Watts’ character retreating into isolation.
An unseen tormentor begins to exploit her weaknesses in a nail-biting thriller from HanWay Films.
The company’s managing director Gabrielle Stewart has revealed that Alfred Hitchcock’s trademark brand of horror and thriller film making has influenced the movie, which will showcase the best of Oscar-winning actress Watts’ abilities.
She said: “‘The Wolf Hour’ delivers Hitchcockian tension in a densely layered world with a role that will exploit every fibre of Academy Award nominee Naomi Watt’s emotional range as an actor.
“Director Alistair Banks Griffin has a clear vision of the world he is enveloping Watts in: all of our senses are going to be stimulated.”
In 2017 alone, the actress has appeared in ‘The Book of Henry’ and ‘The Glass Castle’, as well as a starring role in Netflix series ‘Gypsy’
Meanwhile, she was nominated at the Academy Awards earlier this year for her performances in ‘The Impossible’ and ’21 Grams’.

Andrew Lincoln wants to be a Jedi Knight

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrew Lincoln’s dream role is to play a Jedi Knight in ‘Star Wars’.
The 44-year-old actor has an impressive filmography, which includes roles in ‘Love Actually’, ‘Gangster No. 1’ and ‘Made in Dagenham’, but has achieved global fame from playing Rick Grimes in TV series ‘The Walking Dead’.
But Lincoln admits if he wasn’t starring in the horror show he would like nothing more than getting his hands on a lightsaber in the sci-fi franchise.
In a recent interview on ‘The Walking Dead’ after show ‘Talking Dead’, Lincoln recalled he and his co-star Dave Morrissey – who played The Governor in Seasons 3 and 4 – were surprised they never got roles in ‘Harry Potter’ as Brits but they hope they will be in ‘Star Wars’ in the future.
After being asked what he would be doing if he hadn’t landed the role on ‘The Walking Dead’, Lincoln said: “Dave Morrissey and I … we used to sort of joke that we were the only actors in British Equity that hadn’t been in the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise, so maybe I would have been wizarding about Hogwarts or hobbit-ing about Middle Earth. And I always fancied the idea of getting my hands around a lightsaber.”
The hit zombie apocalypse show is just starting its eighth series and although the series has penned up to 13 altogether, show creator Robert Kirkman revealed at San Diego Comic Con that Lincoln’s character will not survive to the end.
He said: “I’ve said before, Rick does not survive to the end. It was years ago so you guys probably forgot, but I foresee there being more story after his eventual demise.”
Lincoln himself also suggested the survival could be passed to his on-screen son Carl [Chandler Riggs] and would follow him and Lincoln also admitted he thinks the audience deserve an “end game”.
He said: “There comes a point where there are too many grey hairs on your chin. I think the audience deserves an end game. It’s a lot of time to invest in a story without some kind of resolution.”

Taika Waititi would never do Star Wars movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Taika Waititi would never direct a ‘Star Wars’ movie because it “seems really hard”.
The 42-year-old filmmaker recently helmed the third standalone ‘Thor’ movie for Marvel, but admitted he wouldn’t want to direct a film from the popular Disney sci-fi franchise because there is no room for improvisation.
Speaking to the New York Times, Taika – who is married to Chelsea Winstanley – said: “That particular franchise seems really hard. There’s not much room for someone like me.
“Through its narrow canon, the tone of ‘Star Wars’ has always been determinedly self-serious, whereas the Marvel movies, like the decades of comics they sprang from, veer wildly from high drama to low comedy.
“And improvisation has been a tool in every Marvel movie since Robert Downey Jr. riffed his way through ‘Iron Man’.”
‘Thor: Ragnarok’ film sees Chris Hemsworth reprising his role as the titular character, alongside Mark Ruffalo [Hulk], Tom Hiddleston [Loki], Cate Blanchett [Hera], and Jeff Goldblum [Grandmaster].
Last week, Goldblum revealed Waititi asked the ‘Jurassic Park’ actor to improvise many of his scenes in the new Marvel Cinematic Universe movie.
Goldblum said: “[It was] fantastic. This is a funny movie, a really funny movie. Taika is funny. He’s great.
“We improvised a lot of the movie.

Renee Zellweger to star as Judy Garland in new biopic

OHMYGOSSIP — Renee Zellweger is set to star as Judy Garland in a new biopic.
The 48-year-old actress has joined the new movie ‘Judy’ being made by British stage director and Tony Award nominee Rupert Goold, Deadline reports.
‘Judy’ is based on a script written by ‘The Crown’ scribe Tom Edge and is set to be produced by BAFTA winner David Livingstone – who shot to fame in the LGBT movie ‘Pride’.
The biopic is set in 1968 which is 30 years after Garland played the iconic role of Dorothy in ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and she arrives in London to perform a sell-out five-week run at the nightclub ‘Talk of the Town’.
As she prepares for the concerts, she battles with management, charms musicians and reminisces with friends and her fans and embarks on a relationship with Mickey Deans – her soon-to-be fifth husband.
However, the iconic actress-and-singer is fragile and after working for 45 years, she is haunted by memories of a childhood lost to Hollywood and gripped by a desire to be back home with her children, who include Liza Minnelli.
Garland was one of the most iconic actresses of the 1940s and starred in a number of movie musicals including ‘Meet Me In St Louis’ and ‘A Star Is Born’.
Throughout her life she struggled with physical and mental health issues and was heavily criticised by film executives who did not believe she was attractive enough to be a leading actress.
Judy struggled with alcoholism and substance abuse and she eventually died at the age of just 47 in England from a barbiturate overdose.
The new biopic will reportedly feature some of her most beloved songs and Zellweger is expected to sing as she has already proven she has a great voice after being nominated for the Best Actress Oscar for her role as Roxie Hart in the 2002 musical movie ‘Chicago’.

Gerard Butler reveals Angel Has Fallen Plot

OHMYGOSSIP — Gerard Butler has revealed his character Mike Banning may struggle to save the world in new movie ‘Angel Has Fallen’.
The ‘Olympus Has Fallen’ star is set to return as the US Secret Service agent in the third instalment of the action franchise and has spilled the beans on some of the top secret plot details.
The 47-year-old actor told Den Of Geek: “This is as similar as maybe Logan was to ‘Wolverine’, it’s definitely a Mike Banning who’s almost – as I am now, Gerry Butler for his action career – a Mike Banning who is paying the price of all these years, all the ‘Olympus Has Fallen’s and ‘London Has Fallen’s.
“He’s paying the price for that physically now and he’s struggling a bit in the job. It’s no longer the kind of superhero Mike Banning, but it’s a guy who’s on a more challenging journey and then on top of that everything turns against him when he gets set up for this assassination attempt on the President.
“And some of those facts that he’s already struggling with are used against him and he ends up going on the run and is trying to elude the bad guys – and the good guys – and find out who the hell is behind all of this.”
The ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ star also produces the franchise, which first saw him play action-hero Mike in 2013’s ‘Olympus Has Fallen’, saving Washington from a terrorist invasion.
The 2016 sequel ‘London Has Fallen’ was set during the US president’s visit to the UK capital and the latest film ‘Angel Has Fallen’ is believed to be centred around Air Force One, the presidential aircraft.
Butler admitted that for a long time he was unsure how to follow-up the sequel.
But he now believes the latest in the trilogy could be even better than the first two movies, having teamed up with stuntman-turned-director Ric Roman Waugh.
He said: “I couldn’t even see a way to make a third, you know we’d joke about it ‘What, Tokyo? Hong Kong? What is it going to be!?’ and it would be, for sure, what is it going to be? Until this idea came along and until Ric came along – now I’ve gone from not knowing what to do with it, to thinking this is going to be the best one.”

David Hasselhoff amazed people want Knight Rider reboot

OHMYGOSSIP — David Hasselhoff is “totally amazed” fans want to bring back ‘Knight Rider’.
The 65-year-old actor portrayed lead character Michael Knight in the original TV series from 1982 to 1986, and revealed he has been in talks with ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ filmmaker James Gunn about rebooting the franchise, which he finds “nuts”.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, Hasselhoff said: “We’re in talks right now about maybe bringing ‘Knight Rider’ back.
“I’m totally amazed every day, to the point where sometimes I can’t go out. It’s just nuts.
“It’s nuts even going to the market in Calabasas or Lake Sherwood, where the superstars live.
“I go to the gate and they want my autograph. They call me the true survivor.”
The original TV series is a cult classic which told the story of primary field agent Michael, and his technologically advanced car KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand), who fought crime with the use of the latest equipment.
Last year, the actor admitted he’d been thinking about how a ‘Knight Rider’ film could work and thought of a ‘Fast and the Furious’-style adventure movie based on the old TV series.
He said: “I see it as more of a continuation of the TV series, and they can add new characters or whatever, but they should basically keep the same feeling of the show.
“There are so many people out there that will absolutely freak out and love it. It would be Michael Knight kind of coming out of retirement with his son and having adventures around the world, and doing a ‘Fast and Furious’ with the ‘Knight Rider’ car. How cool does that sound? How cool could it be?”

Susan Calman tried to commit suicide at 16

OHMYGOSSIP — Susan Calman tried to commit suicide when she was 16 years old.
The 42-year-old comedienne may have made a career out of making people laugh at her jokes, but she has admitted there was a period in her life when she was younger when she was so plagued with darkness that she cut herself and tried to end her life.
Writing in her autobiography ‘Cheer Up Love’, she said: “I felt alone, isolated, confused about why I couldn’t just make myself happy. I’d started cutting myself.
“I would sit in my room punishing myself, a common thing to do among many depressives, and I still have the scars on my arms from that time.
“I took a load of pills one day because I couldn’t see any way out.”
The brunette funny woman was sectioned under the Mental Health Act for her own safety and she has revealed her frightening stay at the psychiatric ward put her off doing anything that would result in her being readmitted.
She explained: “I was terrified.
“No doors on the toilets or showers, being watched 24 hours a day.”
Although Susan still suffers with depression, she believes ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ has helped her control her mood as she looks forward to performing every weekend.
She’s quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying: “The joy I am getting from performing on a Saturday night. It is helping my mood and how I feel about things.
“Out of the blue, the Crab climbs up my back, pinches both of my earlobes and whispers gently to me things I don’t want to hear: ‘No one likes you. No one would miss you if you weren’t here. Why do you even bother? Everyone laughs at you when you leave the room. You’re useless. And you smell.’
“I’ve told my wife about him — and it is a him — and all I need to say to her is that the Crab’s about and she knows what I’m going through.”

Victoria Ekanoye’s mum cried when she got Coronation Street role

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Ekanoye’s mother “cried and screamed” when she landed her role in ‘Coronation Street’.
The soap newcomer bagged the role of bolshie Angie Appleton – the wife of Mary Taylor’s long-lost son Jude – in the show earlier this year and her mum couldn’t wait to watch her debut scenes, which aired last week, because was ecstatic when she found out she was joining the long-running programme.
Speaking to The Daily Star newspaper, she said: “My mum cried and screamed when I told her I was joining ‘Corrie’. It’s such a big show for our family. We all watched it growing up. I used to put on ‘Corrie’ shows and musicals when I was a child and I always wanted to be Bet Lynch behind the bar.
“It all happened really fast. I did the screen test and audition on one day and then eight days later I found out I had the job. Three weeks later I was on set filming. I auditioned with Patti Clare who plays Mary and at the end she hugged me.
“I am used to acting being quite dog-eat-dog so I knew then I really wanted to job. I was most excited to meet Noris, played by Malcolm Hebden. He’s such a character on screen and he was so hilarious. I started in June and there’s hasn’t been a day yet he hasn’t made me laugh.”
The brunette beauty certainly caused a stir when her alter ego rocked up in Weatherfield and appeared to lock horns with fan-favourite Mary (Patti) but she has admitted there’s more to come as bosses have thrown her an explosive storyline, which will hit television screens later this year.
She explained: “I have a really good and quite gritty storyline coming up. It’s not something that has been done a lot in soaps before so it is a challenge. You associate Mary and Norris with comedy, but this a high drama and affects so many people.”

James ‘Arg’ Argent almost ruined Elliott Wright’s wedding

OHMYGOSSIP — James ‘Arg’ Argent almost ruined Elliott Wright’s wedding.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star was supposed to be the ‘Master of Ceremonies’ but wreaked havoc on his friend’s big day as he failed to make the dress rehearsal, turned up late to the ceremony and tried on his suit for the very first time outside the church.
Elliott’s sister Leah fumed: “Arg at the moment is just a nightmare.”
Although the 29-year-old star – who recently lost four stone after spending two months at a rehabilitation centre in Thailand – thought the blue suit “fit like glove”, Elliott wasn’t convinced.
The 36-year-old hunk said: “Look at Arg’s suit – the suit don’t even fit him.”
However, once the romantic ceremony came to a close, Arg was determined to make amends with Elliott and his new wife Sadie Stuart by being the best host at the reception.
Speaking in Elliott’s reality TV show ‘Elliott Wright: The Wedding’, which aired last night (22.10.17), Arg said: “I may have been slightly late and didn’t make the suit fitting but if I get the Master of Ceremonies right Elliott is going to be absolutely chuffed.”
However, although the wannabe singer pulled his role out of the bag, Elliott and Sadie – who got married in Spain on September 30 – banned him from the wedding photographs.
Elliott said: “I banned him from being in the official pictures because he p***ed me off before the wedding. He didn’t bother to go to his suit fittings, on the day, it didn’t fit him properly. We had a bit of an argument over it because to me it’s an honour to be asked to be a groomsman and I was annoyed that he didn’t take it seriously.”

Sir David Attenborough to make Planet Earth 3?

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir David Attenborough is planning to make another ‘Planet Earth’.
The second instalment of the nature documentary only hit screens last year – a decade after the first was released – but the 91-year-old legendary presenter is hoping that he can make a third series because he has no plans to retire before he’s 100.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: “I see no reason whatsoever why I can’t live past 100. Earth has enough wonders to make more than three ‘Planet Earth’ series.
“The beauty of natural history programmes is they can appeal across all ages and all conditions and people can take out of it their own particular interests.”
And the naturalist will have time to start focusing on the third series now as his new documentary ‘Blue Planet II’, which dives into the marine life, will drop this weekend.
Bosses at the BBC announced they were planning to do a second instalment of ‘Blue Planet’ after ‘Planet Earth II’ went down such a storm with viewers late last year.
The forthcoming series, which was filmed over four years using new camera technology and techniques, was last on screens six years ago.
The new-and-improved technology used during filming allowed the camera crew to capture predatory fish and dolphins front on as well as get up close to whale sharks.
The crew also used two unmanned submersibles, which allowed them to record footage from 1,000 metres under the Antarctic Ocean, to capture footage of never-before filmed creatures, including hairy-chested Hoff crabs, snub fin dolphins that spit water, and a tool-using tusk fish.
Meanwhile, although David thoroughly enjoys looking into life on land and sea, he’s got no desire to pay a visit to space.
He explained: “There’s no life in space.
“Here we’ve got this wonderful kaleidoscope, this fantastic world.”

Doctor Who will have 3 companions

OHMYGOSSIP — Doctor Who’s new female Time Lord will have three companions.
Jodie Whittaker – who will take over the reins as the time-travelling alien at the end of the year from Peter Capaldi – will be joined by Bradley Walsh, who will play Graham, Tosin Cole as Ryan and Mandip Gill as Yasmin when the new series hits in 2018.
The ‘Chase’ presenter, 57, is “thrilled” to have landed the role in the sci-fi programme as he’s been a fan of ‘Doctor Who’ for over 50 years and can’t wait to get stuck in.
Bradley said: “I remember watching William Hartnell as the first Doctor. Black and white made it very scary for a youngster like myself. I was petrified, but even though I’d watch most of it from behind the sofa through my fingers, I became a fan… Am I thrilled to be part of this whole ground breaking new dawn for the Doctor? Oh yes!”
Mandip, who has appeared in ‘Hollyoaks’ and ‘Casualty’ in the past, can’t believe she’s secured a companion part and has admitted it took a few weeks for it to sink in.
She explained: “Certain roles seem unattainable and this is one of those, so much so I didn’t believe it to be true for the first few weeks.”
Not much else is known about the companions but the show’s new head writer Chris Chibnall has teased that the Doctor will “need those new friends” and is glad he’s managed to bag “three of Britain’s brightest talents” for his forthcoming series.
Jodie, 35, will appear in the festive special in two months’ time when she takes over from Peter – who has portrayed the Time Lord for four years – but the BBC has confirmed that the new series won’t launch until the autumn of next year.
