James Mangold working on Logan spin-off script

OHMYGOSSIP — James Mangold is working on the script for a ‘Logan’ spin-off.
The 53-year-old filmmaker – who helmed the final Wolverine instalment starring Hugh Jackman – is keen to do another movie based on the story of Laura Kinney, played by Dafne Keen, who Wolverine helped to escape from the dark forces in ‘Logan’.
He shared: “We’re just working on a script.”
And James was inspired to push this story forward after the success of ‘Wonder Woman’, which he says has made studios less fearful of having a movie with a female protagonist.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, he added: “Patty Jenkins’ success with ‘Wonder Woman’ only solidifies more for studios that there’s less to fear with a female protagonist.
“The more that keeps getting hit home, that ends up giving me more space turning around and going, ‘Well, here we are with a female protagonist. That’s incredible. And what are we going to do with her?’ And that’s where we are with that [the X-23 script] right now, dreaming.”
It comes after Mangold shared how he believed the R rating given to ‘Logan’ was key to the movie’s success.
He said: “I knew that if Hugh and I could get an R, then we’ll have the freedom to make an adult film. Because the second the marketing arm of a studio realises it cannot market to children, five or six creative things happen.
“The scenes can go deeper, and can be written for adults. Not just language, not just [violence], as you’re saying, but the themes can be more interesting, the words you’re using can be more complicated. The ideas can be more complicated … Also, the film comes under no pressure to be a platform for the sale of toys. Because there’s going to be no kids to see it.”

Simon Cowell doesn’t know if he’ll be on X Factor

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell doesn’t know if he’ll be on ‘The X Factor’ tomorrow (28.10.17)
The music mogul was rushed to hospital after fainting and falling down stairs this morning (27.10.17) and though he’s now back at his London home, he is suffering with concussion and is unsure whether he’ll be fit enough for the first live show of the series.
He told the Mirror Online: “I will be back but I don’t know about tomorrow.”
But Simon – who was at home with his young son Eric, three, when he fell – reassured his fans he is on the mend.
He said: I fainted and fell down the stairs. I’ve got a bit of concussion.
“I feel better now.”
Asked if he had a message for worried fans waiting outside his house, he added: “Thank you.”
It was previously explained the 58-year-old star had fallen at around 6.45am while going to get a cup of hot milk to help him sleep.
A source said: “It’s been a scary morning. It was very early and Simon was going down his stairs to get some hot milk because he couldn’t sleep.
“He fainted and is thought to have fallen down the stairs. An ambulance was called and he was stretchered out of the house in a neck brace surrounded by worried aides.”
Simon’s girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, is believed to be making her way back to London from New York following his accident.
Earlier this year, the outspoken TV personality was forced to pull out of ‘X Factor’s London auditions due to a mystery illness.
And in June, Simon – who is a self-confessed workaholic – missed his own charity ball after he was struck down by flu.

Simon Cowell suffers fall before first X Factor live show

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell’s participation in the first live ‘X Factor’ show is in doubt after he suffered a fall at his London home.
The 58-year-old music mogul was spotted being stretchered out of his mansion in a neck brace after he took a fall at around 6.45am today (27.10.17) while going to get a cup of hot milk to help him sleep.
Although Simon’s injuries are not believed to be serious, it remains unclear as to whether he will be able to perform his usual role on ‘The X Factor’ on Saturday (28.10.17).
A source told The Sun newspaper: “It’s been a scary morning. It was very early and Simon was going down his stairs to get some hot milk because he couldn’t sleep.
“He fainted and is thought to have fallen down the stairs. An ambulance was called and he was stretchered out of the house in a neck brace surrounded by worried aides.”
Currently, Simon – who has a three-year-old son called Eric with his partner Lauren Silverman – is in hospital undergoing a series of tests.
It is not yet known whether Lauren or Eric were at home when Simon suffered the accident.
However, it appears that ‘X Factor’ broadcaster ITV were only made aware of the incident early this afternoon.
Already this year, Simon – who sits on the programme’s judging panel alongside Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne – has been forced to withdraw from a number of planned appearances due to poor health.
He was, for instance, forced to pull out of ‘X Factor’s London auditions in July due to a mystery illness.
And during the previous month, the millionaire TV star missed his own charity ball after he was struck down by flu.

Jodie Whittaker reads new Doctor Who script

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Whittaker has started reading through the script for her first series of ‘Doctor Who’.
The 35-year-old actress – who will make a brief appearance in the sci-fi show over the festive season when she takes over the reins from Peter Capaldi – won’t be seen on screen properly as the iconic Time Lord until the end of 2018, but bosses are wasting no time getting to work on her first instalment as they’ve gathered the cast for a read-through.
According to Digital Spy, pre-production kicked off this week as new showrunner Chris Chibnall was joined by his executive producers Sam Hoyle and Matt Stevens.
Details of the new series are being kept tightly under wraps for the time being, but it has been announced that Jodie’s Doctor will have three companions this time around.
The brunette beauty will be joined by Bradley Walsh, who will play Graham, Tosin Cole as Ryan and Mandip Gill as Yasmin when the new series hits in the autumn next year.
The ‘Chase’ presenter, 57, is “thrilled” to have landed the role in the sci-fi programme as he’s been a fan of ‘Doctor Who’ for over 50 years and can’t wait to get stuck in.
Bradley said: “I remember watching William Hartnell as the first Doctor. Black and white made it very scary for a youngster like myself. I was petrified, but even though I’d watch most of it from behind the sofa through my fingers, I became a fan… Am I thrilled to be part of this whole ground breaking new dawn for the Doctor? Oh yes!”
Mandip, who has appeared in ‘Hollyoaks’ and ‘Casualty’ in the past, can’t believe she’s secured a companion part and has admitted it took a few weeks for it to sink in.
She explained: “Certain roles seem unattainable and this is one of those, so much so I didn’t believe it to be true for the first few weeks.”
Chibnall has teased that the time-travelling alien will “need those new friends” and is glad he’s managed to bag “three of Britain’s brightest talents” for his forthcoming series.

Daisy Lowe says watching Strictly Come Dancing is ‘heartbreaking’

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Lowe finds it “slightly heartbreaking” watching ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 28-year-old model is obsessed with the new series of the ballroom and latin show but has admitted she struggles to see Aljaz Skorjanec – who was partnered with her for the competition last year – whiz around the dance floor with Gemma Atkinson this year because it feels like she’s stalking an “ex-boyfriend”.
In an interview with Chris Evans on BBC Radio 2’s ‘Breakfast Show’ on Friday (27.10.17), Daisy said: “I am watching it. Part of it is slightly heartbreaking watching my dance partner with another woman.
“It feels like watching an ex-boyfriend. He is a wonderful man and in incredibly teacher and they are doing so well. There’s part of me which is so proud of him but also a little niggardly part that is slightly jealous. My grandma is the one who is a little bit more catty with the situation than I am.”
The brunette beauty and Aljaz were kicked out of the competition in week eight last year and has admitted she found it really hard to readjust to normal life afterwards.
Daisy – who is the daughter of Pearl Lowe and Gavin Rossdale – said: “You get kicked out of the bubble almost. And I really fell in love with dancing, the exercise. It is the platform to spread love and joy. I just sort of wondered what to do next.”
Meanwhile, this year’s series is slightly different as Len Goodman – who was the head judge for over a decade – walked away from the show and was subsequently replaced by tough-talking former champion Shirley Ballas.
Shirley is joined on the panel by returning judges Bruno Tonioli, Craig Revel-Horwood and Darcey Bussell.

The X Factor’s Sam Black loses voice

OHMYGOSSIP — The X Factor’s Sam Black has lost his voice.
The 20-year-old wannabe singer was given a second chance when he was chosen to replace Anthony Russell after he was kicked off the show after failing a drugs test, but it looks like his chances of succeeding in the competition may have been shattered as his vocals have been breaking since rehearsals at the beginning of the week and he doesn’t know if it’ll hold up when he performs this weekend.
Speaking to The Sun Online, he said: “I’m not used to singing all the time and I think I’ve done too much practice. I’m really nervous about it, I wasn’t too worried on Wednesday night but yesterday morning I was working with the vocal coach and it went completely. I was really shocked, I didn’t think it was that bad. I’m just gonna do my best and have lots of hot lemon and honey.”
However, Sam – who hit the headlines when he proposed to his girlfriend on stage after he failed to make it through to bootcamp – may be in luck as his category – The Boys, mentored by Louis Walsh – aren’t performing until the Sunday (29.10.17).
He explained: “I think that’ll help [not performing until the Sunday night].
“I just need to make sure I don’t do too much talking. I am quite nervous, I’ve never really done gigs before and it’s live as well so if my voice goes the whole nation sees it. I’m sure it’ll be alright on the night but I am nervous.”
Sam couldn’t believe his luck when he found out that bosses decided to replace Anthony – who was nicknamed ‘Skippy’ – with him because they believe he stood out – even though he didn’t even make it to the Six Chair Challenge.

Joe Swash breaks I’m A Celeb rules

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ spin-off show hosts are banned from knowing who’s entering the jungle after Joe Swash broke the rules by telling his nan.
The 35-year-old presenter has hosted the side series, known now as ‘Extra Camp’, since 2009, but he’s spoiled the fun for his new co-stars Joel Dommett and Scarlett Moffatt as none of them are allowed to know the forthcoming line-up after he accidentally let the top-secret news slip to his elderly relative a few years back.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Friday (27.10.17), he said: “They don’t tell you anymore.
“They used to tell me [the line-up before the show kicks off], but then I told my nan, and she told someone else, so it got out.”
The show will return to screens in a few weeks’ time and Scarlett – who was crowned queen of the jungle last year after she won over the hearts of the nation – has admitted it’s a “dream come true” to be fronting the spin-off alongside Joe and Joel.
Scarlett, 27, said: “After last year’s Jungle experience which was a dream come true, I can’t believe I’m so lucky to have the dream continue by being part of this amazing show and joining the ITV2 ‘Extra Camp’ team, it’s going to be so much fun.”
And Joel, 31 – who followed swiftly behind Scarlett in second place on the creepy-crawly series last year – can’t wait to go Down Under and get started on the show.
He explained: “I’m unbelievably excited to be going back into the Jungle for Extra Camp. Ever since ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ got me out of there, I’ve been wanting desperately to get back in there. I can’t blooming wait!”
The duo will take over from Vicky Pattison – who was crowned queen of the jungle in 2015 – and Chris Ramsey on the presenting panel this year, while Joe’s girlfriend Stacey Solomon has also been dropped this time around in order for a new vibe.
The 28-year-old beauty said recently: “Aw, I know, it’s a shame, but Joe’s so good at it. I’ll be excited to watch him. I’ll definitely miss him loads, but I love watching from the comfort of my own home. I’m working on loads of different pilots.”
Ant and Dec will also be back to present the main show.

Holly Willoughby refused to used ‘haunted’ toilet in home

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby refused to used the toilet in her own home because she thought it was haunted.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter convinced herself that the bathroom upstairs in her old house was occupied by an eerie figure after she and her husband Dan Baldwin – who have three children Harry, eight, Belle, six, and Chester, three, together – went to watch the ‘Woman in Black’ in theatre and was so scared to use the loo when her beau wasn’t around that she drove to the nearest supermarket to do her business.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said: “I was so scared I had to leave the house. It was daytime, too. We’d been to see the ‘Woman in Black’, me and Dan.
“Where we lived at the time there was only a bathroom upstairs. I came downstairs to say goodbye to him as he was going to work. I was in my pyjamas and he went. I looked upstairs and thought, ‘I can’t go up there in case she’s up there.’ I needed the loo.
“The only way I could do it was to go to the dirty laundry washing bin in the kitchen, put on filthy clothes and drive to Sainsbury’s, which was where the nearest toilet was. It really affects me that much.”
But it’s not just the 36-year-old beauty who has a wild imagination as she has admitted her daughter Belle has inherited her obsession with the supernatural and is always telling her she can see dead people.
She explained: “My imagination is too good.
“It’s a genetic thing too. My daughter has my brain, my mind for scary things. Already I see it. She says to me: ‘Mummy in that corner there’s a shadow there’ and I’m thinking, ‘Stop telling me this, I can’t even help you through this.’ I have to really man up and say, ‘There’s nothing there.’ ”

Olivia Colman to play Queen Elizabeth in The Crown

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Colman will play Queen Elizabeth in the third series of ‘The Crown’.
The ‘Broadchurch’ actress will take over from Claire Foy – who played the monarch during her coronation and marriage to Prince Philip – in the next instalment of the Netflix drama as the story progresses into the royal’s fourth decade of life.
The 43-year-old star will play the role for the next two series and then producers will go on the hunt for another actress to take over the reins in order to document the queen’s life from her 60s to her 90s – providing Netflix decide to recommision it.
It’s believed Olivia has already started shooting for the next series, but it won’t hit screens through the streaming service until 2019, according to the Mail Online.
The first instalment proved a huge hit with viewers – with Claire winning a Golden Globe for her portrait of Elizabeth II in the first ten episodes – and it’s thought the second will be equally as successful when it airs at the end of the year.
Although fans are no doubt devastated to see the 33-year-old beauty leave, it has always been clear from the start that another actress would be contracted to play Her Majesty from her 40s through to her 60s in series three and four.
Speaking recently: “This is the last stint, it’s over, I’m done.
“I always knew it was only going to be two series and then part would be reincarnated and someone else takes over. That’s the nature of the part.”
But Claire isn’t the only one leaving the cast, as Matt Smith – who played Prince Philip – is also being replaced with an older actor for the next chapter.
It’s not yet known who has been chosen to play the queen’s spouse.

X Factor wildcards revealed

OHMYGOSSIP — Leon Mallet, Alisah Bonaobra, Jack and Joel and Talia Dean will return as the ‘X Factor’s wildcard contestants.
In a twist during the Judges Houses’ episode last weekend, it was revealed that the public would have a chance to vote to put their favourite act from each of the four categories – the boys, the girls, the overs and the groups – through to the live shows to join the 12 acts who had already been chosen by the judges, Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne.
A source said: “Few things divide fans like previously axed contestants being given another shot, but the public have spoken. After voting closed on Monday, Leon, Alisah, Jack and Joel and Talia were told they’d nabbed the four remaining spots.
“They’ve all been favourites throughout the season, and as we’ve seen in years previously, could well go on to be the show’s most memorable acts. They’re all beyond excited and are working tirelessly to prove viewers got it right and that they are worthy of a spot.”
And show bosses have changed the format of the live shows in one of the biggest shake-ups by introducing a “money-can’t-buy prize” that the top two contestants take part in a sing-off to win.
The insider added to The Sun Online: “They feel introducing a sing-off between the top two will be a huge hit with viewers who will get to watch their favourites sing again each week, while the aim of winning a money-can’t-buy prize will add that classic Saturday Night entertainment feel that ITV’s most successful shows, such as Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, have.”
The ‘X Factor’ continues on ITV on Saturday (28.10.17).

Jack P. Shepherd splits from fiancée Lauren Shippey

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack P. Shepherd has split from his long-term partner.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actor – who is known for playing reformed bad boy David Platt in the long-running soap – is currently still living with his now-estranged fiancée Lauren Shippey, but they’ve reportedly told their friends and family that they’re “over” and it’s only a “matter of time” before they go their separate ways completely.
A spokesperson told The Sun newspaper: “Jack and Lauren remain the best of friends and their main focus is the care of their children.”
This isn’t the first time the pair – who have Nyla and Reuben together – have called time on their relationship as Lauren previously threw the 29-year-old hunk out of their family home in 2011 when she found out he’d fathered another child.
A DNA test revealed that he was the father of a baby boy called Greyson, now five, who was born with a rare and painful condition Alternating Hemiplegia Of Childhood, following a one-night stand with sales executive Sammy Milewski.
Jack – who had been with Lauren since they were both 14 – managed to persuade his partner to forgive him after he proposed with a £3,000 engagement ring.
A source said in 2011: “Lauren understands Jack made a terrible mistake. Now he has made the ultimate statement that he wants to be with her for the rest of his life.”
However, although the couple have ultimately decided to go their separate ways, their friends and family are convinced that it’s only a matter of time before they rekindle because they’re still “so young” and have enough time to sort things out.
A friend explained: “They have been through a lot but are still young enough to sort themselves out for the future.”

Suranne Jones bemoans binge-watching

OHMYGOSSIP — Suranne Jones thinks it’s “important” to enjoy television “the old-fashioned way”.
The 39-year-old actress won a BAFTA TV award for Best Actress in 2016 for her role as the titular medical professional in BBC drama ‘Doctor Foster’ – which recently concluded its second series – and thinks the show’s success was aided by the fact that viewers were unable to “binge-watch” it, and had to consume one episode a week.
She told The Sun newspaper: “I’m really proud of the show and people’s reaction to it. Everyone feels a connection to it because it’s not binge-watched. It’s on once a week and you have a week to talk about it. I think that created a community and I loved that. I think it’s important that we watch television in an old-fashioned way.”
Suranne also teased to the publication that whilst there are “no plans yet” for a third series of the hit drama – which follows Doctor Gemma Foster as she struggles to deal with a betrayal in her personal life – she would be happy to reprise her role if writer Mike Bartlett “comes up with another story”.
Meanwhile, despite bemoaning binge-watching, Suranne recently claimed it is currently an “amazing time” to be a television actress, as there are more strong parts for women compared to when she started appearing in detective show ‘Scott & Bailey’ in 2008.
She said: “It’s an amazing time for television, [and] the parts for women my age are great. When we used to promote ‘Scott & Bailey’, series one and two, people were saying, ‘So, this is about two female detectives?’ You would never say, ‘Ah, so this is about two male detectives?’
“It’s outrageous that people said that six years ago. But not one person ever said to me about ‘Doctor Foster’, ‘So, this is about a female doctor?'”

Olivia Munn to take over Hummingbird lead

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Munn has taken over the lead role in the new thriller ‘Hummingbird’ after Zoe Saldana pulled out.
The 37-year-old ‘Magic Mike’ actress is reportedly replacing Saldana, after the star was forced to quit the movie due to commitments with the upcoming ‘Avatar’ sequels, Empire has reported.
The new movie will be directed by Markus Kryler and Fredrik Akerstrom and follows the story of a black-ops assassin who is forced to confront her real identity after being assigned her next mark.
The film – which was written by John McClain – will be fully financed by Fundamental Films, who will produce the movie alongside Broken Road Productions.
Mark Gao, Gregory Ouanhon and Todd Garner will produce whilst Gary Glushon and Jeremy Stein will executive produce alongside Saldana, who will do so under her production company Cinestar Pictures.
Meanwhile, Saldana’s scheduling conflict comes as she is set to reprise her role as alien Neytiri in James Cameron’s highly anticipated four ‘Avatar’ sequels.
Not much is known about the upcoming movies, but Saldana will be joining a host of returning cast members including Sam Worthington, 40, and Sigourney Weaver, 67, as well as villain Stephen Lang and Giovanni Ribisi.
Kate Winslet has also joined the cast of the ‘Avatar’ sequels and will play a character called Ronal, but it isn’t yet clear whether her alter ego will be a Na’vi or a human.
Cliff Curtis will also star in the movie as Tonowari, the leader of the Metkayina, the reef people clan, in the Cameron-directed movies – all of which are poised to take place under water.
As Cameron recently revealed, the first movie will be released in 2020, followed by the other three in 2021, 2024 and 2025.

Gareth Evans to helm Deathstroke movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Gareth Evans is in talks to helm the ‘Deathstroke’ film.
The filmmaker – who helmed ‘The Raid’ and its sequel – is reportedly joining the DC Extended Universe in the standalone movie based around the Teen Titans villain, according to The Wrap.
Deathstroke – the alter-ego of Slade Wilson – was created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, and first appeared in ‘The New Teen Titans (vol 1) #2’ back in 1980.
Since his introduction he has gone on to become a fan favourite among comic book fans and was voted the 24th Greatest Villain of All Time by Wizard magazine.
Last September, Joe Manganiello was reported to be taking on the role of the mercenary for the upcoming ‘Batman’ movie alongside Ben Affleck.
The 40-year-old actor admitted he couldn’t be happier about it as he’s always “rooted for the villain” when watching similar films.
He said: “I’m very excited. I just started kung fu, qigong and cutting with a live katana blade. That’s been a lot of fun.
“I grew up rooting for the villain. These characters mean so much to so many people and there’s a real opportunity to polarise an audience or have them walk away maybe not agreeing with my character but understanding why he does what he does. That’s a really fun challenge.”
Manganiello also got the seal of approval from Wolfman, who created the comic book character for DC Comics in 1980.
Posting a picture of the pair to his Facebook page, the 70 year old wrote: “After a great lunch with Joe Manganiello, I feel more confident than ever that we got both the Slade Wilson the movies need and the Deathstroke great movies deserve.”
Despite being the perfect person to take on Deathstroke, Joe recently revealed that he almost bagged the role of iconic superhero Superman instead, but filming commitments to his supernatural TV series ‘True Blood’ kept him from securing the role for 2013’s ‘Man of Steel’.

Rian Johnson overwhelmed with Star Wars: The Last Jedi

OHMYGOSSIP — Rian Johnson said filming ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ was overwhelming.
The 43-year-old filmmaker helmed the upcoming eighth movie in the sci-fi franchise, and during a behind-the-scenes look at the highly anticipated film, Johnson said he had some “holy crap” moments while filming.
In the exclusive footage, Johnson said: “Walking up the ramp, walking through the hallway, I get flashbacks to when I was a kid with the action figures.
“Suddenly I had a big lump in my throat. Just so happy. You know it gets ya.
“[This is the] first time shooting with Mark, first time shooting with Daisy, first time shooting a ‘Star Wars’ movie and you know it’s some cool stuff.
“There’s a weird that happens when it’s being built and when you first show up you are kind of overwhelmed by it all and you get into the nitty gritty of working on it and naturally that level of it goes away and you find yourself just focused on making the scene work, getting the shots, and once in a while you’re taking a little break and you look around and you get the holy crap again.”
‘The Last Jedi’ is set to feature a number of returning cast members, including ‘Star Wars’ legend Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), John Boyega (Finn), Daisy Ridley (Rey), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Andy Serkis (Snoke), Domhnall Gleeson (General Lux) and the late Carrie Fisher as General Leia.
While Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran are all newcomers to the franchise.
During the behind-the-scenes video, Ridley said that the filmmaker is doing “unexpected things” and “taking characters in new directions”.
‘The Last Jedi’ will start directly after the events of ‘The Force Awakens’ which saw Han Solo (Harrison Ford) get killed by his own son Kylo Ren.
But despite being dead, Johnson also hinted that Han Solo’s death will play a major part in the plot as a “figurative ghost”.
He said: “A figurative ghost of Han had to be present throughout this entire film.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger: New Terminator going back to basics

OHMYGOSSIP — Arnold Schwarzenegger says the new ‘Terminator’ movie is going to be a return to the storytelling of the 1984 original.
The 70-year-old actor starred in the original James Cameron movie as the titular character – a T-800 killer cyborg – alongside Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor and now a sixth film in the franchise is currently in the works with the two original cast members returning in their roles.
Schwarzenegger insists fans of the sci-fi franchise can expect a return to the stripped down story of the cult classic.
Speaking to Business Insider, Schwarzenegger said: “I think James Cameron and Tim Miller came up with a concept where they can continue on with the T-800 but make a whole new movie.
“What they are doing now with this one is basically to just take a few very basic characters, like Linda Hamilton’s character and my character, and dismiss everything else. Just move away from all these rules of the timeline and other characters.”
Cameron was at the helm for the original 1984 movie and sequel ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’, but was not involved in 2003’s ‘Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines’, 2009’s ‘Terminator Salvation’ or ‘Terminator Genisys’.
Plot details are being kept under wraps but Miller and Cameron are reportedly treating the film as a direct sequel to ‘T2: Judgment Day’.
In the original 1984 movie, Schwarzenegger played the villain but in the sequel his character was the hero and the actor said he loves the vulnerability of the character.
He said: “I think the T-800 model is a really interesting character. He’s a machine, can be destructive, can do things human beings can’t do, but at the same time when newer technology comes along the character suddenly is vulnerable and that makes him even more interesting.”
Cameron – who is on board to produce the new film and will act as creative consultant to director Miller, who helmed ‘Deadpool’ – revealed that Hamilton, 60, is back in the sci-fi franchise.
