Miranda Hart to present Royal Variety Performance

OHMYGOSSIP — Miranda Hart will “smash a glass ceiling” as the first female solo host of the Royal Variety Performance.
The 44-year-old comic is proud to be takinng the reins of the prestigious show, which will take place at the London Palladium on 24 November, because she always loved watching the event at home when she was younger.
She said: “If you don’t mind me I am just going to smash a glass ceiling and be the first woman to host the Royal Variety. That felt good!
“It’s thrilling for me because of that, and because I am hugely proud to be part of such an important event in our comedy and variety heritage as the Royal Variety Performance.
“The young-wannabe-comedian me who watched the show every year would be just as excited to hear that grown-up me is going to be hosting – only I’ll be doing it without the 1970s pudding bowl haircut that made me look like a young male monk!”
This year’s Royal Variety Performance will see performances from the likes of The Killers, Louis Tomlinson, Seal, James Blunt, The Script, Michael Ball and Alfie Boe and Paloma Faith.
‘Frasier’ actor Kelsey Grammer will also take to the stage, as will the casts of ‘Big Fish’, ‘Annie’, and ’42nd Street’, West End divas Beverley Knight, Cassidy Janson and Amber Riley, ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ winner Tokio Myers and comedians Jason Manford and Tom Allen.
While Miranda is the first female solo host of the event, ‘Crossroads’ actress Noele Gordon was the first woman to helm the show alongside Ted Rogers in 1974, while the likes of the late Cilla Black, Cat Deeley and Emma Forbes have also taken the reins in part in the past.
Last year’s show was fronted by David Walliams.

Prue Leith ‘mortified’ after GBBO tweet blunder

OHMYGOSSIP — Prue Leith is “mortified” after she accidentally revealed who’d won ‘Great British Bake Off’.
The show judge was forced to issue an apology last night (31.10.17) after she put out a pre-scheduled tweet online announcing that Sophie Faldo had been crowned the champion of the baking series, which is pre-recorded months in advance, before the finale had aired on screens.
She said: “I am so sorry to the fans of the show for my mistake this morning, I am in a different time zone and mortified by my error #GBBO. (sic)”
The 77-year-old restaurateur hit the headlines in the morning of the finale when she published a tweet – several hours before the show was screened – in which she said “bravo Sophie”.
However, despite her blunder, Prue has confirmed she’s been asked to reclaim her judging position on next year’s series alongsideher co-judge Paul Hollywood, 51, while Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig have decided to reprise their hosting duties.
Alongside a link leading to contestant application forms for the next series, Prue said this morning: “It’s the #GBBO final! Who will win? Thrilled to say Paul, Noel Sandi & I will all be back! Do you want to join us? (sic)”
Although she’s confirmed she will be returning in 2018, Prue’s future was uncertain earlier this month as she admitted Channel 4 were yet to give her a new contract.
She said: “I’m still hoping Channel 4 will ask me back for the second series. They’ve asked me about timings and schedules but I’ve not seen or heard anything about a contract. It could all change, like ‘The X Factor’.”
But, until she gets back in the tent, Prue has decided to throw herself back into writing.
She added: “I actually gave up writing before ‘Great British Bake Off’. I’d been doing it [writing cookbooks and novels] for years and it took up too much time. But I’ve been coaxed back into it and now I’m writing and cooking more than ever. It’s a busy time.”

Ashley Banjo will ‘clash’ with Jason Gardiner on Dancing on Ice

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Banjo thinks he’ll “clash” with Jason Gardiner on ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The Diversity dancer has confirmed he’s joined the skating show’s judging panel when the reboot hits screens early next year, but he’s adamant he won’t let the acid-tongue choreographer “bully” him and is convinced they’ll rub each other up the wrong way.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: “I can imagine us clashing. Do I look like I can be bullied? No chance. I’m going to have to start thinking of witty one-liners. Jason is very good at that. He is the king of the one-liners, let’s hope he’s not lost it.”
The 29-year-old hunk will be joined on the panel by Jason and Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean – who previously mentored the contestants but have now switched positions – and, although he’s not an experienced skater, he thinks he’s more than qualified for the job because he’s made a living out of making up choreography.
He explained: “I’m not an expert in skating but it is all about choreography, stage direction and music. That is what I do for a living.”
Jason recently admitted he was delighted to be rejoining the panel and vowed to be as “honest” as ever because he thinks his blunt comments are a great motivator.
He said: “I’m honest, I always call it as i see it but when they’re good, I give them great praise and I think I help them to improve a lot.
“It’s one of the hardest and the commitment is intense so let’s not discount what they have to go through. we have seen some remarkable people pass through ‘Dancing on Ice’ and to see that journey is wonderful. And also the Todd Cartys, who have gone through the tunnel and disappeared into oblivion, but it’s an exciting show to do.”
The celebrity line-up is to be released over the next few weeks but, so far, it’s been confirmed that Jake Quickenden, Coronation Street’s Brooke Vincent, Bucks Fizz’s Cheryl Baker and Love Island’s Kem Cetinay will be going head-to-head on the rink.
Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will return as hosts.

Jake Quickenden signs up to Dancing on Ice

OHMYGOSSIP — Jake Quickenden has signed up to the forthcoming series of ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The 29-year-old singer feels “so lucky” to become the fourth celebrity to jump on board the reboot of the skating show, which is expected to hit screens early next year, but has admitted he really struggled with his first training session and actually looked like he’d been knocking back the booze the night before because he was so wobbly.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Wednesday (01.11.17), he said: “I had my first training session yesterday. It was freezing – I went in a t-shirt so ice is cold, especially when you’re laying on it for 10 minutes. I was freezing but it was amazing.
“The coach was amazing because I went there and I think he thought I was on the booze the night before because I was all over the place. Then I settled down and it was great. I just feel lucky that I’ve been asked to do it. I’m so buzzing.”
However, the hunk is well aware of the fact that he’ll be asked to do some frightening lifts during his routines because he’s so “big” but he’s concerned that he’ll either drop his partner, whose identity is not yet known, or kick her in the face with his blades.
He explained: “I’m more worried about injuring my partner because the last thing I want to do is kick anyone in the face with skates on. Or drop anyone because I’m quite big and I know I’m going to be asked to do lifts and stuff so I’m quite nervous about that.”
Jake is used to being slapped with criticism as he took part in ‘The X Factor’ in 2012 and then again in 2014, but he’s terrified of the acid-tongue judge Jason Gardiner.
He said: “I’m more nervous about Jason. I’ve met him before he was lovely but I wasn’t ice skating in front of him. I’m used to the criticism from ‘X Factor’.”
Bosses of the skating show have kept details of the forthcoming series under wraps, but, so far, it’s known that Love Island’s Kem Cetinay, Coronation Street’s Brooke Vincent and Bucks Fizz’s Cheryl Baker will be going head-to-head with Jake.
More celebrities will be announced in due course but, for now, it’s been confirmed that Jason has reclaimed his position on the judging panel alongside Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean – who previously mentored the contestants but have now switched positions – and Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo.
Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will return as hosts.

Scarlett Moffatt has ‘no idea’ how to explain her split from Luke Crodden

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffatt has “no idea” how she came to split from Luke Crodden.
The 27-year-old TV star recently announced her on-off relationship with Luke has finished for good and although the duo have pledged to remain good friends, Scarlett still can’t explain the circumstances surrounding their separation.
Of their split, Scarlett told The Sun newspaper: “We’re still friends, it’s not like anything has happened.
“But we realised that we just like each other as friends. We friend-zoned each other. I have no idea how it actually happened.”
The duo previously split up in early 2017 following a year of dating, before rekindling their romance over the summer.
However, the reality star recently announced that they’d split for a second time, confirming the news on her Facebook page.
At the time, she wrote: “I’m gonna have to write it because I feel a bit awkward as I’ve done some interviews about him being in my book that aren’t out for a while due to timings of the magazines.
“But me and Luke have finished due to a number of different things.
“It was Luke’s choice in the end but it’s because we both just see each other in more of a friendly way than a romance way and we both respect and love each other enough to know we need to call it a day and not be one of those couple’s that’s off and on.
“So it’s not that I’m being a crap girlfriend and not mentioning him it’s just we are no longer together, I wish him all the luck and happiness in the world, just sometimes these things happen. (sic)”

Nicole Scherzinger gets ‘nervous’ before every X Factor live show

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Scherzinger gets “extremely nervous” before every ‘X Factor’ live show.
The 38-year-old pop star insists it is far more nerve-wracking having to speak on TV than it is to sing, but she tries to keep herself focused by concentrating on her contestants and their needs.
She said: “I get extremely nervous, even after all these years.
“As a singer, I feel much more comfortable performing on stage than I do speaking.
“I find myself talking and thinking, ‘What am I saying?’ I try and focus my energy on the contestants and making sure they’re ok, but the nerves always creep in. It’s very exciting too though.”
But the ‘Poison’ singer insists her nerves aren’t out of worry for her contestants because she always knows they’ll do well.
Asked if she’s nervous for her hopefuls, she said: “Not so much, I’m just nervous because Im an artist and I’m not as comfortable in a judging capacity as I am singing.
“I always feel confident for my acts because I make sure I’ve had enough time with them during the week so that we’re all confident they’re ready to go on a Saturday night.”
After several years in the job, Nicole is a much “harder” judge than she used to be.
She told OK! magazine: “The core of what I Do is still the same – I listen to my heart and my gut. I make a judgement based on my experience and my knowledge of the industry, which I have a lot of from all my years performing.
“I have very wellrounded, diverse experiences to pull from.
“However, I’ve probably got a bit harder over the years.
“When I first started doing the show, I would cry all the time because I didn’t know how to say no to people. I was so sensitive.
“Now I’m a bit more willing to tell people this business isn’t for them. I don’t want to waste anyone’s time if I don’t think it’s right for them.
“It’s not fair to give people false hope, so it’s important to be tough with them.”

Bruno Tonioli dating male model

OHMYGOSSIP — Bruno Tonioli is in a secret relationship with a male model.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge has reportedly been romancing 29-year-old model Matt Law and pals say the relationship has “put the smile back on his face”.
The friend said: “Bruno is very happy. He hasn’t had anyone special on his life for ten years and Matt has put the smile back on his face. Right now they’re just having a lot of fun and not thinking about the future because there’s a huge age difference. But Matt and him don’t stop laughing – they get on so well. Everyone is really happy for them.
“For Bruno it was lust at first sight but there’s a lot of hope it could develop into something more serious. Matt was dating someone else but he’s become single quite recently, allowing things to develop.”
Bruno jets back over to the US for ‘Dancing With The Stars’ every week before returning back to the UK at the weekend for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and Matt – who Bruno met during a holiday in Mykonos over the summer – is currently staying at Bruno’s Los Angeles apartment so they can spend time together when he’s in the US.
The insider added to The Sun newspaper: “He’s been staying at Bruno’s LA apartment and was waiting for Bruno as soon as he got off the plane on Monday night. He’s planning to go and watch him judge on ‘Dancing With The Stars’ as well, which is a sign that Bruno is introducing him to people close to him.”
Bruno fuelled speculation of a romance with Matt when the pair were spotted out to dinner together last month.

Sophie Faldo wins ‘Great British Bake Off’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Faldo has been crowned the winner of ‘The Great British Bake Off’.
The 33-year-old former Army officer beat off tough opposition from fellow finalists Kate Lyon and Steven Carter-Bailey during the final episode of the Channel 4 baking competition – which aired on Tuesday (31.10.17) – to be named as the first winner of the show since it moved homes from the BBC in late 2016.
Sophie’s triumph came as she wowed judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with a seven-layered, honey bee-themed entremet showstopper, and the star described her win as “mega”.
She added: “The idea of winning was such a minute possibility. I don’t think I will forget this day for as long as I live. I have met some brilliant people and I got to the final. It is beyond anything I have dreamed of. What a privilege.”
However, for some viewers, Sophie’s win won’t have come as a surprise, as Prue Leith – who replaced former judge Mary Berry when the show switched broadcasters – accidentally named her as the winner earlier in the day when she tweeted: “Bravo Sophie”.
The 77-year-old restauranteur later apologised for the gaffe, which she insisted was a result of being in a different time zone and being confused by the time difference.
After deleting her previous tweet, she took to Twitter again to write: “I am so sorry to the fans of the show for my mistake this morning, I am in a different time zone and mortified by my error #GBBO (sic)”
Despite her blunder, Prue has confirmed she’s been asked to reclaim her judging position on next year’s series alongside Paul, 51, while Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig have decided to reprise their hosting duties.
Alongside a link leading to contestant application forms for the next series, Prue said this morning: “It’s the #GBBO final! Who will win? Thrilled to say Paul, Noel Sandi & I will all be back! Do you want to join us? (sic)”

Mark Hamill almost snubbed Star Wars return

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Hamill almost snubbed the chance to return to ‘Star Wars’.
The 66-year-old actor played Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker in the original trilogy alongside Harrison Ford and the late Carrie Fisher as fellow heroes Han Solo and Princess Leia.
All three were asked to appear in the sequel and start of a new trilogy ‘The Force Awakens’, but Hamill was initially reluctant to return to the sci-fi franchise but decided to say yes to Disney and Lucasfilm’s offer once Ford, 75, signed up.
Speaking to The New York Times, Hamill said: “I was just really scared. I thought, ‘Why mess with it?’ The idea of catching lightning in a bottle twice was ridiculously remote.
“But can you imagine if I was the only one to say no? I’d be the most hated man in nerd-dom!”
Although the three beloved original cast members returned for the 2015 hit – helmed by J.J. Abrams – Hamill’s part was minimal with him only appearing at the end of the movie without any dialogue, despite his character playing a major role in the plot.
In the upcoming ‘Episode VIII’, ‘The Last Jedi’, Hamill will have a major role throughout the movie – which marks the last outing for Fisher as General Leia Organa after she sadly died last year.
Hamill recently promised fans will “love” her performance, but did admit that bosses have had to change their plans for the character due to Fisher’s shock death.
Speaking at New York Comic Con, he said: “You’re going to really love her in [‘the Last Jedi’].
“I know they’re going to try and find a way to close her story in ‘Episode IV’ that gives her the respect she deserves, because [Han Solo] was more prominent in [‘The Force Awakens’], Luke’s a little more prominent in ‘Episode VIII, and certainly Leia was meant to be more prominent in ‘Episode IV’.
“Worldwide, everyone feels that gap she left. But we all have to hang in there. And if she’s out there somewhere, we have to give her the one-finger salute. Come on everybody, for Carrie.”
Hamill and Fisher are joining a number of returning cast members including Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Andy Serkis (Snoke) and Domhnall Gleeson (General Lux).
‘The Last Jedi’ hits cinemas this December.

Morena Baccarin to star in John DeLorean biopic

OHMYGOSSIP — Morena Baccarin will be starring in the upcoming John DeLorean scripted documentary.
The ‘Deadpool’ actress will play Christina Ferrare, the wife of the disgraced automobile engineer, with Alec Baldwin signed on as her husband, Deadline reports.
The upcoming film, which doesn’t yet have a title, will feature scripted scenes mixed with real life interviews with colleagues, employees, lawyers, friends and family connected to the disgraced former General Motors head.
John – who died after suffering a stroke in 2005 aged 80 – worked as an engineer for the likes of Chrysler, Packard, General Motors and Chevrolet, rising through the ranks until he was expected to become president of GM.
However, he resigned in 1973 and formed his own DeLorean motor company, but the firm floundered and went into receivership in February 1982 after racking up huge debts.
Scandal hit in October of that year when he was charged with trafficking cocaine after a videotaped FBI sting.
His lawyers argued he had been unfairly targeted and entrapped, and was found not guilty in August 1984, but his reputation was in tatters and he never got his career back on track.
Although currently untitled, the movie will be directed by Don Argott and Sheen M. Joyce and produced by Tamir Ardon alongside XYZ Films and 9.14 Pictures, and is slated for a 2018 release.
The DeLorean car is probably best known for being the time travelling machine in the ‘Back To The Future’ franchise.
Meanwhile, Baccarin will next be seen reprising her role as Vanessa in the highly anticipated ‘Deadpool’ sequel, which has just wrapped up filming.

Anthony Mackie wants to be James Bond

OHMYGOSSIP — Anthony Mackie would be a “mellow” James Bond.
The 49-year-old actor is currently part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Avenger Falcon but he revealed he would love to be the next 007 and already knows how he’d play the iconic spy.
Speaking at London Comic Con on Saturday (28.10.17), Mackie said: “I’ve thought about this a lot. My Bond would be cool, I mean smooth, milky smooth.
“No nonsense, no pretence. My James Bond would be a very, very mellow man with the ladies. He would be very aggressive in his fighting style.
“And his Aston Martin would be a convertible with 20 inch rims and an 808 sound system in the trunk so you can hear him coming. That’s my Bond.”
Currently Daniel Craig is set to reprise his role as the 007 agent in the upcoming Bond 25 movie and already revealed it is to be his last outing as the womanising spy.
The 49-year-old actor – who has played Bond in ‘Casino Royale’, ‘Quantum of Solace’, ‘Skyfall’ and ‘Spectre’ – “always wanted to return” to the role, but he will hang up his tuxedo after Bond 25.
When asked if he would be playing Bond again, he said recently: “Yes. I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been quite cagey about it. I’ve been doing interviews about it all day and people have been asking me and I’ve been kind of coy but I kind of felt like, if I was going to speak the truth, I should speak the truth to you.”
A number of celebrities have been rumoured to be taking over from Craig when he steps down including James Norton, Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston, Aidan Turner, Tom Hardy and Damian Lewis.
Meanwhile, Mackie will be reprising his role as the superhero in the upcoming ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers 4’.

Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch to helm Pet Sematary remake

OHMYGOSSIP — Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch are set to helm a new version of ‘Pet Sematary’.
The two filmmakers – who recently helmed the 2014 horror ‘Starry Eyes’ – have joined Paramount’s big screen remake of Stephen King’s 1983 novel of the same name following the success of the ‘IT’ reboot this year, Variety reports.
Widmyer and Kolsch will helm the new horror which will be produced by ‘Transformers’ producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahdradian.
The movie is set to be penned by scribes Jeff Buhler and David Kajganich with Alexandra Loewy as executive producer for Paramount Studios.
The original movie was released in 1989 and was directed by Mark Lambert with King writing the screenplay along with Steven Schneider.
‘Pet Sematary’ follows Doctor Louis Creed who moves his family to Maine where he meets a friendly local named Jud Crandall.
After their cat is accidentally killed, it is buried in the ground near the old pet graveyard but the cat ends up coming back to life with a completely different and evil personality.
When Louis’ son Gage dies, he decided to bury the boy’s body in the same ground despite the warnings from Crandall.
The film was a huge success and brought in around $57 million on a $11 million budget and even spawned a less successful 1992 sequel starring Edward Furlong and Anthony Edwards.
Paramount and King are currently working in the highly anticipated sequel to ‘IT’ which is set for release in 2019 and will be taking the story on as the surviving kids mature into adulthood and are forced to revisit their horrors as one by one they encounter Pennywise the Dancing Clown again. ‘IT 2’ has now been slated for a September 2019 release.
‘IT’ – which stars Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise – is the highest grossing R-rated film of all-time beating the likes of ‘Deadpool’ and ‘Logan’.

Tessa Thompson: I hated wearing a cape for Thor: Ragnarok

OHMYGOSSIP — Tessa Thompson hated having to wear a cape in ‘Thor: Ragnarok’.
The 34-year-old actress stars as the cape-wearing Valkyrie in the new Marvel movie, and Tessa – who trained diligently for the high-energy role – admitted her on-screen attire made filming awkward for her.
She explained: “I know that sounds like – not a champagne problem, but like a weird superhero problem that we don’t think about.
“You just trip on them and then the wind machine gets going and it smacks you in the face. So, it felt like a quick boot camp in superhero-ness.”
The American star also revealed that she and the rest of the cast – which includes Chris Hemsworth, Idris Elba and Cate Blanchett – would stand around on set joking about the challenges of playing superheros.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “We all stand around with half of our costume off and weird suspenders … We have conversations about navigating the demands of superheroes.
“[And] the sometimes adventurous positions you have to get yourself in to be able to, you know, pee in between takes.”
Meanwhile, Tessa recently revealed that her character Valkyrie was pitched to her as the “Han Solo of the movie” by director Taika Waititi.
The actress also revealed she struck up a very good relationship with the moviemaker, whose new film has been widely hailed by critics.
Tessa said: “It was quite collaborative but [Waititi] and I got on from the minute we met each other.
“He pitched Valkyrie as sort of the Han Solo of the movie and so I sort of knew the space that she wanted to occupy, and we wanted to subvert any sort of clichés in our portrayal of her. I say ‘ours’ because he was really integral to that.”

Chris Hemsworth had got bored of playing Thor

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Hemsworth had got “bored” of playing Thor before making ‘Thor: Ragnarok’.
The 34-year-old actor has starred as the Norse God of Lightning in two ‘Thor’ movies as well as two ‘Avengers’ movie, and now he is reprising his role in the third instalment of the standalone franchise.
However, after portraying the superhero so many times he admits he hadn’t been “giving everything” he could to the character and he asked Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige to give him something new to work with.
Speaking to Collider, Hemsworth said: “Even prior to the script I called Kevin and I said, ‘I got to do something different. I’m so bored of myself. I don’t think I’m giving everything.’
“I said, ‘You’ve got to give me the opportunity to do something different,’ and he was incredibly receptive and agreed and that set a bit of tone to the script and Taika [Waititi] came in and had the same ideas and thinking and it was the most fun, I think, I’ve had playing this character.”
‘Thor: Ragnarok’ – directed by Taika Waititi – follows Thor in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela (Cate Blanchettt) from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.
At one point the hammer-wielding hero finds himself in a deadly contest that pits him against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), his fellow Avenger.
The movie marks the first time a female villain has been the main antagonist in a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie and the film also has the first LGBT character in the MCU, Valkyrie played by Tessa Thompson.
Hemsworth, 34, also said how he loved his scenes with Ruffalo, 49, because their two characters have “never really spoken on screen before”.
He said: “I loved the stuff with Mark Ruffalo/Hulk and Thor because we never really spoken on screen before so we had all the room in the world to sort of invent that relationship. A number of times Mark looked at me after we had done an improvised scene and he said, ‘Oh man are we wrecking this?’
“And I said, ‘Good we need to break it,’ and that was kind of every day and the same with Tessa. Tessa came in with this sort of Han Solo brash sort of confidence which was so different to Jane [Natalie Portman] in the previous movies and brought out a new quality in Thor.
“All of us have this same sort of attitude and hope we want from it. You know, it’s a team effort.”
Hemsworth and Ruffalo will reprise their respective roles in the upcoming ‘Avengers: Infinity War’.

Lupita Nyong’o joins Little Monsters

OHMYGOSSIP — Lupita Nyong’o and Josh Gad have joined the cast of ‘Little Monsters’.
The 34-year-old actress and the ‘Beauty and the Beast’ star will appear in the comedy-horror movie alongside Alexander England, who will play a washed-up musician called Dave.
According to Variety, England’s character goes on his nephew’s school trip after taking a shine to his teacher, Miss Caroline – portrayed by Nyong’o – but he has to compete for her affections with famous TV personality Teddy McGiggle (Gad).
However, that is the least of their worries when a zombie outbreak threatens to put everyone’s lives in danger.
Abe Forsythe will direct and write the motion picture, with Snoot Entertainment and Made Up Stories producing.
Filming for the Australian movie has already started earlier this month in Sydney.
Nyong’o shot to fame in 2013 movie ’12 Years a Slave’, for which she won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar, and she has since gone on to star in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’, ‘The Jungle Book’ and will appear as Nakia in ‘Black Panther’ next year.
The Hollywood star recently admitted she has become “more familiar” with herself and Hollywood over the last three years since shooting to fame.
She said: “I am more familiar with [this world]. I have my likes and dislikes. I know when I am spreading myself too thin. Now I know how many hours I need to sleep.
“I feel very privileged. It has given me the luxury of choice; I get to choose and work on things I can’t stop thinking about. That is how I choose a project – if I read the script and after I leave it, the character lingers in my head. If I am not terrified of the character, then it is probably not for me.”
Gad will voice the titular character in Disney’s ‘Olaf’s Frozen Adventure’ next month.
