Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan depart Universal’s Dark Universe

OHMYGOSSIP — Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan have stepped away from Universal Pictures’ ‘The Dark Universe’.
Kurtzman helmed and co-wrote the Tom Cruise led reboot of ‘The Mummy’, which was set to be the start of a shared cinematic world populated by the studio’s iconic horror characters from the 1920s to the 1940s.
Now Kurtzman and Morgan – who co-produced the picture – has stepped away from the franchise, The Hollywood Reporter claim.
Following The Mummy’s disappointing return at the box office, Universal pulled a planned 2017 remake of ‘The Bride of Frankenstein’, starring Angelina Jolie.
Johnny Depp was set to play ‘The Invisible Man’ in a separate project.
It’s reported Kurtzman is now focusing on TV and is producing ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ and Morgan has returned to the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise and is writing a spin-off for Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.
Universal Pictures President of Production Peter Cramer said they are now not “rushing to meet a release date” of any planned films and will still move forward with production.
He said: “We’ve learned many lessons throughout the creative process on Dark Universe so far, and we are viewing these titles as filmmaker-driven vehicles, each with their own distinct visions.
“We are not rushing to meet a release date and will move forward with these films when we feel they are the best versions of themselves.”
Originally the ‘Dark Universe’ was meant to be kick-started by the Luke Evans movie ‘Dracula: Untold’ but once again due to poor reviews the universe had to begin again.

Monica Bellucci teases return to Bond 25

OHMYGOSSIP — Monica Bellucci has teased she may be starring in ‘Bond 25’.
The 53-year-old actress portrayed Bond girl Lucia Sciarra opposite Daniel Craig in ‘Spectre’ back in 2015, and recently Craig admitted he would love to see her reprise the role in his final outing as 007.
Now, Bellucci has teased she cannot “say anything” about whether she will be back in the spy franchise.
The 53-year-old actress tantalised media with her comment as she stepped out in Rome on Tuesday evening (07.11.17) to collect the Virna Lisi lifetime achievement award,
Bellucci was praised for her performance as Lucia Sciarra – the widow of an infamous Italian assassin – in ‘Spectre’ but her screen time was limited and fans wanted to see more of her as the oldest Bond girl.
Bellucci was 51 at the time of filming and if she does appear in the new movie – which is slated for release in November 2019 – then she would break her own record.
Craig, 49, only recently confirmed he would be donning Bond’s famous tuxedo one final time, and his motivation for staying in the franchise is that he will break the late Sir Roger Moore’s record as the longest Bond when 2019 rolls around as he will have been in possession of the iconic part for 13 years.
He previously said: “I’ve been quite cagey about it … I think this is it. This is it. I just want to go out on a high note, and I can’t wait.”
Although not much is known about the plot of Bond 25 as of yet, it’s reported the movie could be incorporating some cutting edge gadgets, including spacecrafts and aquatic cars – things which have featured in previous Bond adventures.

Jamie Bell: I’m a great sidekick

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Bell prefers playing the “funny sidekick” on screen rather than be the leading man.
The 31-year-old actor is currently starring as real life actor Peter Turner alongside Hollywood legend Annette Bening as actress Gloria Grahame in ‘Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool’.
The pair carry the movie and although Bell usually doesn’t watch his own work he felt he had a duty to check out his performance in this project, and he couldn’t help think he’s more suited to the supporting roles as the story happened before his eyes.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, Bell said: “I rarely see any of my work but I had a duty to watch ‘Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool’, a responsibility. I was playing someone’s real life. And it’s very challenging watching yourself. I don’t know what it’s like for other actors.
“All the time I’m watching it, I’m like ‘I should really stick to playing the funny sidekick guy!’ That’s my preferred role!”
‘Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool’ sees Bening portraying real life actress Gloria Grahame who meets the unknown actor Turner (Bell) in 1978 leading to the two starting a vibrant love affair despite their age difference.
The film is based on Turner’s memoirs about his affair with the B-Movie actress.
Bell has worked on a number of acclaimed films after shooting to fame at the age of 14 in ‘Billy Elliot’, including ‘King Kong’, ‘Nymphomaniac’ and ‘The Adventures of Tintin’, and said he is always looking for “diversity” in his career.
He said: “You’re always looking for diversity. Most of it is by luck.
“I was talking to someone who referred to my career as a ‘pinball machine’, in the sense that I had ‘Nymphomaniac’ and ‘Tintin’ out in the same year, which I think was kind of true.
“I feel very fortunate with what has come my way and the people I’ve worked with.”

Jason Momoa wants Aquaman fans to show patience

OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Momoa has urged Aquaman fans to show patience with his character.
The 38-year-old actor starred as the fictional superhero in 2016’s ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ and as he prepares to reprise the role in ‘Justice League’, Jason has told fans there’s much more to come from his character.
Jason – who will also appear in a standalone Aquaman movie in 2018 – explained: “I want people to know in a year, you’re going to understand where he came from, what happened to his mother, what happened to his father, and how he was treated in this world and how he didn’t know how to use his powers.
“Sometimes he saved people and sometimes he lost people, and his human side didn’t know how to cope with those things, to cover up those things. So you know there’s a lot of layers to this guy.
“And I think once we do get to the solo films, you get to see the man who is going to take responsibility and help the world and become a king, eventually.”
In the meantime, he has urged comic book fans to remain patient with him.
He told Den of Geek: “A lot of people are like, ‘That’s not my Aquaman!’ Just wait a little bit longer. Just stick with it for a little bit longer.”
Jason also credited filmmaker Zack Snyder for masterminding his interpretation of the character.
He explained: “It all sort of came from Zack’s mind. Aquaman wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him.”

Kevin Spacey ‘dropped from All the Money in the World’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Spacey has been replaced by Christopher Plummer on ‘All the Money in the World’.
The 58-year-old actor has reportedly been dropped from the forthcoming film, in which he was due to star as J Paul Getty, following recent allegations of sexual misconduct made against him by a number of people.
According to Deadline, director Ridley Scott and Imperative Entertainment’s Dan Friedkin and Bradley Thomas made the decision to replace Spacey, and despite the move, the filmmaker is said to be determined the motion picture will still be released on December 22.
Sony Pictures and the cast and crew of the movie, which includes Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Williams, are said to have unanimously agreed to re-shoot all of Spacey’s scenes.
The motion picture tells the story of his character, oilman J Paul Getty, who refused to pay a ransom after his grandson, John Paul Getty III, was kidnapped.
But fortunately, most of the scenes in the thriller film involve Getty III’s mother Gail Harris (Williams), and Getty’s advisor (Wahlberg) rather than Getty himself.
Spacey is said to have worked around eight to 10 days on the movie set.
The ‘American Beauty’ actor is currently receiving treatment at an Arizona rehab centre after being accused of sexual harassment and assault by a number of men, including Richard Dreyfuss’ son Harry and Star Trek: Discovery’s Anthony Rapp.
Jon Bernthal has also claimed Spacey was “a bit of a bully” on the set of ‘Baby Driver’.
He said: “Going on to that set and working with him, I wasn’t there much, but when I was there, he really rubbed me the wrong way. I thought he was a bit of a bully. I didn’t really care for the way he was behaving toward some of the other people on set.”

Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor Who costume unveiled

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Whittaker’s ‘Doctor Who’ costume has been unveiled.
The 35-year-old actress was cast as the Thirteenth Doctor in the summer, making her the first woman to take control of the TARDIS in the titular role.
The BBC has now released the first image of Jodie in her official outfit which is comprised of teal cropped trousers with yellow braces, as well as a striped jumper and a long trench coat.
Already fans have begun to discuss the look and there appears to be references to previous incarnations of the Time Lord in her outfit.
Donning braces has already been done before, most recently by Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith, and the colours of the stripe going across her navy blue T-shirt are the same as the colours included in Fourth Doctor Tom Baker’s unforgettable over-sized scarf.
Whilst both Twelfth Doctor Peter Capaldi and Tenth Doctor David Tennant were both fans of a trench coat.
However, the Thirteenth Doctor gets to have her own feminine fashion by wearing two earrings in her left ear.
The ‘Broadchurch’ star is set to make her debut in the sci-fi show when the Twelfth Doctor regenerates in this year’s Christmas special.
But she won’t be seen on screen in her first full series as the iconic time traveller until the end of 2018, but bosses are wasting no time getting to work on her first run as they’ve gathered the cast for a read-through.
According to Digital Spy, pre-production kicked off this week as new showrunner Chris Chibnall was joined by his executive producers Sam Hoyle and Matt Stevens.
Details of the new series are being kept tightly under wraps for the time being, but it has been announced that Jodie’s Doctor will have three companions in the TARDIS this time around.
The brunette beauty will be joined by Bradley Walsh, who will play Graham, Tosin Cole as Ryan and Mandip Gill as Yasmin.
Chibnall has teased that the time-travelling alien will “need those new friends” and he’s glad he’s managed to bag “three of Britain’s brightest talents” for his forthcoming and history-making series.

Debbie McGee postpones panto for Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Debbie McGee has postponed two planned pantomime performances in case she waltzes into the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ final.
The 59-year-old former magician’s assistant is a frontrunner to lift the glitterball trophy on the BBC One ballroom and Latin show on December 16, after scoring a perfect 40 for her tango with professional dancer partner Giovanni Pernice last weekend.
And, just in case they are victorious on the live final, Debbie will reportedly no longer be starring as fairy Adorabella Marigold Angelpi in ‘Beauty and the Beast’ at the Grand Opera House in York, Northeast England on December 15 and 16.
A representative for the production told The Sun Online: “Debbie will not be performing on the 16th December, however, she will be doing all the other performances from 17th December until 7th January.”
Instead, the entertainer’s understudy is to replace her for the two shows, for which Debbie was to perform alongside Blue singer Anthony Costa.
The spokesperson for the production added that they had thought she would’ve “been fitting her ‘Strictly’ rehearsals in whilst rehearsing for panto in York at the beginning of December.”
At the end of last Saturday’s show Debbie and Giovanni sat firmly at the top of the leaderboard.
When judge Craig Revel Horwood was asked by host Tess Daly for his comments on their performance, he remained silent and walked down in front of the judging table, leaving everyone unsure what was about to happen. He then knelt in front of Debbie and praised her, before returning to his seat next to the other judges – Shirley Ballas, Bruno Tonioli and Darcey Bussell – who were visibly shocked.
Darcey told her: “You gave me tingles down my back. That was extraordinary. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a tango like that from a celebrity.”
Whilst Shirley added: “Debbie McGee, that was a beautiful international tango. So for me, it was outstanding. Every week you’re just flying high. That is the most difficult dance and you just executed with first class.”

Shirley Ballas struggles with online hate

OHMYGOSSIP — Shirley Ballas has “struggled” with online “trolls” since becoming the new head judge on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 57-year-old professional dancers had big shoes to fill when she took over from the legendary Len Goodman on the BBC Latin and ballroom dance competition at the start of the series earlier this year.
And Shirley has now revealed she has been the subject of online bullying and criticism because of her technical-themed feedback, which she admits is starting to get to her.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘Loose Women’ on Thursday (09.11.17), Shirley said: “I’ve never done any TV before, so to get this kind of a role and be behind the camera every week … I love my job, I love the critiquing of the dances, I love the journey of every celebrity that’s on there.
“My son is in TV and he’s done a lot of that, and he gave me a lot of preparation, a lot of advice. We FaceTime every day and he said ‘You know, the press can be really quite difficult.’ The trolling, which I’ve struggled with, the bullying on that. The actual show is great, but the other side has been an experience.”
Shirley insists the comments have even taken aim at her family, and some things are too severe for the star to repeat on television.
She added: “I couldn’t even repeat some of the things that people have called me, and said about me, or criticised my family or whatever.”
It isn’t all bad for the beauty though, as she admits there are “nice people” on social media who stick up for her each week, as well as a couple of former bullies who have now seen the error of their ways.
She said: “There are some nice people on Twitter as well, so I feel like I’ve got like this little Twitter army behind me. There’s a lovely lady called Jenny and she rallies them all up and there’s just some really lovely people.
“One or two who have been mean have actually come round now to say ‘Well maybe I made a mistake.'”

Matt Evers already hurt from Dancing on Ice training

OHMYGOSSIP — Dancing on Ice’s Matt Evers already has a bloody gash on his arm after fellow professional skater Brianne Delcourt slashed him during training earlier this week.
The 41-year-old model – who was a professional on the show before it was pulled off air three years ago – has just started preparing for the reboot, which will hit screens early next year, but he’s already suffered an injury as his blonde co-star caught his flesh with her blade while they were rehearsing for the debut dance on the rink a few days ago.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, the handsome American said: “I got sliced earlier this week from Brianne, it was my arm, it wasn’t a big cut or anything like that. But I have scars all over my body – Jorgie Porter, Bonnie Langford – from every celebrity.”
Matt and Brianne are just two of the four professionals who are returning from the last series in 2014 as they’re joined by Sylvain Longchambon and Daniel Whiston.
Matt explained: “I remember coming in here a couple of years ago to work with you guys and Phillip [Schofield, the host of ‘This Morning’ and ‘Dancing on Ice’] and I would pass in the corridor and we’d be looking at each other like: ‘Is it? Isn’t it?’ Then we got the phone call this summer, it was unbelievable. We’ve all done other stuff but we’d heard rumours in the press and this time we’re back and we’re just buzzing.”
Meanwhile, the celebrity line-up was announced this week as Coronation Street’s Antony Cotton and Brooke Vincent, track and field athlete Perri Shakes-Drayton, cricketer Monty Panesar, rugby hunk Max Evans, Jake Quickenden, Love Island’s Kem Cetinay, Great British Bake Off’s Candice Brown, Good Morning Britain’s weatherman Alex Beresford, TV personality Donna Air, Hollyoaks’ actress Stephanie Waring and Bucks Fizz’s Cheryl Baker prepare to take to the ice next year.
It’s also been confirmed that Jason Gardiner has reclaimed his position on the judging panel alongside Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean – who previously mentored the contestants but have now switched positions – and Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo.

Alexandra Burke is ‘only woman’ for Gorka Márquez ‘right now’

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexandra Burke is the “only woman” in Gorka Márquez’s life at the moment.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional has sparked rumours he’s dating Gemma Atkinson after they were spotted getting breakfast together earlier this week, but he’s adamant there’s nothing going on between them “right now” because he’s too busy training with the brunette beauty and she’s the only one who has his attention.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Thursday (09.11.17), he said: “I did have breakfast with Gemma because we’re really good friends.
“The only time I have, I spend it with her [Alexandra]. After I’ve rehearsed with her, I don’t have any time. I just go home and rest. She’s the only woman in my life right now.”
The rumours that the 27-year-old hunk was getting cosy with the former ‘Emmerdale’ actress reportedly caused some animosity between the blonde beauty and Alexandra but the ‘Bad Boys’ hitmaker is adamant that couldn’t be further from the truth.
She explained: “We’re all having such a wonderful time, we all get along like a family.”
Gorka added: “I wish they had cameras in rehearsals because we have so much fun.”
Meanwhile, Alexandra, 29, is determined to do all she can to walk away with the glitter ball trophy as she wants to make her mother Melissa Bell – who tragically passed away in August this year – proud of her.
She said previously: “We’re all focusing on something positive, and it was a dream of my mum’s for me to do this show and it’s nice to do something and do something for her. I cancelled everything [when she found out she was going to be on ‘Strictly…’] , I was really over the moon, I really need to give this my all. You have to pinch yourself when you get asked to be a part of this show, it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Absolute Cult teams with Rick and Morty

OHMYGOSSIP — Absolute Cult has teamed up with ‘Rick and Morty’ for a clothing collaboration.
The omni-channel retail brand is set to release a series of t-shirts and jumpers – suitable for both men and women – later this week featuring unique designs of the eponymous characters from Adult Swim’s hit animated science-fiction comedy.
The ‘Rick and Morty’ x Absolute Cult range will be available at www.absolutecult.com from November 10 with a strictly limited number of these designs available through a handful of specially selected retailers later in the month in time for Cyber Weekend.
The critically acclaimed animated series, ‘Rick and Morty’, which hit screens in 2013, follows a sociopathic genius scientist called Rick, who drags his inherently timid grandson Morty on insanely dangerous adventures across the universe.
The show originated from a short parody film of ‘Back to the Future’ and sees Rick and Morty split their time between domestic life and interdimensional adventures.
‘Rick and Morty’ is currently in its third season and, although it’s not yet known whether a fourth will be commissioned next year, it was recently announced by Adult Swim and Nielson that it is the Number 1 TV comedy among adults 18-24 and 18-34 in the US.

The X Factor wiped out by sickness bug

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The X Factor’ contestants have been struck down with a sickness bug.
Bosses of the singing show are concerned that no one will be fit enough to perform their George Michael renditions this weekend after The Price brothers, Holly Tandy and Matt Linnen were wiped out by the Norovirus and are currently confined to their beds.
A source told The Daily Star newspaper: “They’ve started dropping like flies. They’re all having early nights and resting their bodies and voices. We can’t afford to have no shows – there are two double evictions, so four acts are going to get the boot.”
This year’s series has been riddled with sickness and injury as last month Sam Black lost his voice after he caught a nasty cold and didn’t know whether his vocals would withstand the first live show, while Simon Cowell missed the programme two weeks ago when he fell down the stairs at his home in London and was rushed to hospital.
He said recently: “I was lying on my back thinking, ‘I hope I haven’t broken my neck.’ But the NHS staff were the most amazing people I’ve ever met, genuinely. Fortunately it was all fine …He [Eric, his son] probably would have told me off, and I didn’t want to worry him. He’s only three. It does make you realise what’s truly important in life.”
It comes after Simon, 58, admitted low blood pressure was to blame for his slip and has vowed to change his lifestyle in order to make sure he is as fit as he can be so that he can be a responsible father for Eric.
He said recently: “Sometimes we get a reminder that we’re not invincible and this was certainly mine. It was a huge shock. They think I fainted because I had low blood pressure and so I have got to really take good care of myself to sort that out. After all I am a dad and have more responsibility than ever.”

Warwick Davis wants to join Britain’s Got Talent

OHMYGOSSIP — Warwick Davis wants to join the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judging panel.
The 47-year-old comedian – who was born with Spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita, an extremely rare form of dwarfism, and is 3ft 6in – would love to sit alongside Simon Cowell when the talent series returns for another instalment next year.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he said: “I think nurturing new talent is great. I would be very realistic but encouraging too – however bonkers some of the acts are.”
However, Warwick may have to fight for a spot on the panel as Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams don’t look ready to give up their seat any time soon.
Alesha – who has sat on the panel since 2012 – said recently: “It is my baby! I love it, we’re the best dysfunctional family on TV.
“We have done six series together now and the more you work with someone the more comfortable you become in their company, we’re friends, we genuinely have a good time working together, it’s special and you can’t beat that, it just works.”
And, although there are many people who would like to join the panel, Simon already has his eye on someone to join him and his team – his three-year-old son Eric.
The 58-year-old entertainment mogul has said the toddler, who he has with his partner Lauren Silverman – is already starting to act like his father, and Simon even uses Eric’s reaction to an act to help him decide whether or not to send them through.
He said: “He definitely gets what is a good song. He remembers the words and he knows who the artists are. His taste in music for his age is quite incredible. When I watch the audition clips back afterwards, I watch him. If he’s interested in the clip, they’re usually very good. When he looks away, they’re not. He gets it and he loves coming to the show. The first time he came down, he was nervous because he saw an ‘X’ as being a kiss. That’s what his mum [Lauren] had taught him. So he used to call our judges’ buzzers The Scary Kisses.
“Then he worked out they weren’t kisses and, when he was about two, I asked him what I did for a job. He said ‘You press buzzers.’ I said ‘Yes but there’s a little bit more to it than that.’ And now he’s starting to get it.”

Stephen Bear quits Just Tattoo Of Us

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephen Bear has quit ‘Just Tattoo Of Us’.
The 27-year-old reality TV star – who is known simply as Bear – has decided not to reprise his presenting gig when the show returns for another instalment next year after he was reportedly offered another job that will clash with the filming of the series three.
A source told The Sun Online: “Bear has been offered another gig and the dates clashed with ‘Just Tattoo Of Us’ filming so he has decided to leave. MTV tried their best to come up with a solution but it just wasn’t possible. Once Bear was offered the other job, producers knew it was only a matter of time before he quit the show.”
The former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ winner’s decision to walk away from the programme comes just weeks after he split from his co-star Charlotte Crosby following a row.
Bosses at MTV were trying to figure out a way to have both of them presenting on the show but separately so that they didn’t have to work with one another anymore.
A source said recently: “Charlotte and Bear just can’t work together since they broke up. One minute they love each other – the next it’s hate.
“MTV are desperate to keep them both involved with the show, they don’t want a ‘him or her’ situation. There are discussions taking place now to try and work it all out. They think they could split the show between them and have them present separate episodes. Scotty T would be great for Charlotte to work with but it’s not clear at the moment who Stephen’s co-presenter would be.
“No contracts have been signed yet. It could all change in a couple of days though – both sides are weighing up the options right now.”
It’s not yet known whether MTV will enlist Scotty T – who shot to fame on ‘Geordie Shore’ – to host the show full time with the 27-year-old beauty following Bear’s exit.

Giovanni Pernice says Debbie McGee is the ‘best person’ he’s met in the UK

OHMYGOSSIP — Giovanni Pernice thinks Debbie McGee is the “best person he’s met” in the UK.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional has been getting cosy with the 59-year-old stage performer – who was married to the late Paul Daniels – over the past two months while training for the ballroom and latin show, and it seems she’s had a lasting impact on the hunk as he’s described her as his “winning partner” for the rest of his life.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he said: “I’ve got the winning partner, not just in this competition but for the rest of my life. Debbie has to be the best person I’ve met in this country so far. She is just amazing.”
His sweet words will no doubt hit a nerve with his ex-girlfriend Georgia May Foote – who he met on the show in 2015 – as they split last summer following eight months of dating.
Georgia said at the time: “I’m quite a private person so I just get on with life, I’ve always said that my job is the most important thing in my life and my family. My family are happy and healthy and I’m working on a great show.
“I’ve literally thrown myself into it completely. It’s been such a great experience and I’m lucky that I’ve got it right now, I think, to do – to keep me busy. I just kind of get on with life, I don’t really listen [to what’s being said].”
And, although they are no longer together, Giovanni, 27, is still in contact with the brunette beauty and his partner from last year’s show Laura Whitmore.
He said: “I’m still in touch with Georgia and Laura [Whitmore] as well. I mean you spend so much time with people, it’s a shame just to finish everything … like, you know.”
Giovanni and Debbie set tongues wagging last month when she planted a smooch on the dark-haired dancer at the end of their routine – despite it not being choreographed.

Nadiya Hussain set for Strictly Come Dancing?

OHMYGOSSIP — Nadiya Hussain looks set to star in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ next year.
The ‘Great British Bake Off’ winner is said to be wanted by show bosses for the 2018 series because they think she will be “hugely popular” with the audience following her victory on the baking show in 2015.
A ‘Strictly’ source said: “Producers have openly said how much they would like to get Nadiya on the show.
“They think she’d be a great fit and is hugely popular with BBC audiences.”
The 32-year-old baker is a big fan of the ballroom and Latin show and last weekend she saw the action first-hand when she watched the programme being filmed at the studios in Elstree, Hertfordshire, south east England.
The source added: “Nadiya is a big fan and loved getting the star treatment at the weekend. They pulled out all the stops and made her feel at home.”
Since shooting to fame on ‘Bake Off’ two years ago, Nadiya has hosted a TV cookery series, ‘Nadiya’s British Food Adventure’, presented her own BBC documentary, ‘The Chronicles of Nadiya’ and even created a cake for Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday.
Should Nadiya be confirmed for ‘Strictly’ she will join last year’s ‘Bake Off’ winner Candice Brown in signing up for a similar show after she joined the ‘Dancing on Ice’ line-up for the upcoming series.
What’s more, Sophie Faldo – this year’s ‘Bake Off’ winner – has admitted she would love to compete on the programme.
She recently said: “I admit I’m a bit jealous of Candice learning to ice skate on ‘Dancing On Ice’. I’d love to do it one day.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing her on that. She’s so elegant.
“I think I have a different skill set to [her and Nadiya]. I’m interested in sport and adventure, health, and performance food so I’m hoping I can find my avenue.”
