Paul Feig ‘regrets’ Ghostbusters flop

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Feig “regrets” the lack of success surrounding his ‘Ghostbusters’ remake.
The 55-year-old director was at the helm of the 2016 reboot of the hugely popular 1984 Ivan Reitman movie, which most notably swapped the main roles from male to female, and starred the likes of Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, and Kate McKinnon.
However, despite creating a buzz when it was announced, the feature didn’t do as well as expected when it hit cinema screens, and Paul now believes the fact that the movie unintentionally became a “cause” movie for gender equality is the reason it didn’t sell as well as it had hoped.
Paul said: “I think it kind of hampered us a little bit because the movie became so much of a cause. I think for some of our audience, they were like, ‘What the f**k? We don’t wanna go to a cause. We just wanna watch a f***ing movie.'”
The filmmaker admits the lack of success the movie garnered is a “great regret” in his life, as he “really loved” the feature, and hoped it would do well.
Speaking at Vulture Festival in Los Angeles, he said: “It was a great regret in my life that the movie didn’t do better, because I really loved it. It’s not a perfect movie. None of my movies are perfect. I liked what we were doing with it. It was only supposed to be there to entertain people.”
Meanwhile, actress Melissa McCarthy previously hit out at critics of the movie, especially as much of it came before anyone had even seen the flick.
The 47-year-old actress said: “Any time someone critiques something that has not yet been made, I find it peculiar. It’s like giving a book review to an author who is like, ‘I haven’t written it yet.’ I don’t pay much attention to it. It’s not based in the world.”
Whilst Kate McKinnon added: “I hope they see it and change their minds. I mean it’s disappointing. I just wanted to get on set and do the best job I could and I think we all did that so I’m excited about it.”

Jason Momoa: Justice League could have been two movies

OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Momoa has revealed ‘Justice League’ could have been released as two movies, as so much more footage was shot.
The former ‘Game of Thrones’ star – who plays Aquaman in the new DC Comics ensemble effort – has defended the film against criticism from some fans that scenes detailing Aquaman’s backstory were cut from the final edit, including Willem Dafoe’s performance as Atlantean character, Nuidis Vulko.
Jason told Entertainment Weekly: “A lot of things got cut. But it’s not my movie. It’s a huge movie introducing three new characters, and for myself and The Flash and Cyborg, there was a lot that was there we just couldn’t get in.
“It could have been two movies. We had some stuff with William Dafoe. The whole Atlantean part, about me being this reluctant king. There was no need for it because you’re going to see it in Aquaman. It’s not an Aquaman movie, it’s a Justice League movie.”
The 38-year-old actor – who will appear in a standalone Aquaman movie, due for release in 2018 – admitted he had been upset to hear that Justice League has not been received well by audiences, but insisted he has avoided reading the criticism.
Jason said: “I try to stay the f**k away from what people say. Some of my friends said, ”Justice League’ isn’t doing well,’ and it kind of bummed me out. But I didn’t want to look it up. I don’t want to look up the bad and the negativity. I don’t think that’s useful; it doesn’t help.”
It comes after the ‘Stargate Atalantis’ star had previously asked Aquaman fans to be patient with his version of the beloved comic book character.
He said: “A lot of people are like, ‘That’s not my Aquaman!’ Just wait a little bit longer. Just stick with it for a little bit longer.”

Kym Marsh will vote for ex-husband Jamie Lomas to do I’m A Celeb tasks

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Lomas’ ex-wife Kym Marsh will be voting for him to take part in Bushtucker Trials.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress – who divorced the former ‘Hollyoaks’ star in 2013 – will be tuning into ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ with their six-year-old daughter Polly and she knows the youngster will want to see her dad “challenged” on the tough show.
Writing in her column for OK! magazine, she said: “Polly couldn’t wait to start watching him on the show and said to me: ‘I want to see daddy eating some bugs. Although he better brush his teeth before he gives me a kiss!’.
“I’ll record it and then fast-forward any bits I don’t think she should watch. I’m not sure how she’d take it if he was trapped with rats or something like that. I know he doesn’t like them!. Polly and I will definitely vote for him to do the trials – Polly will want to see him being challenged as he’s her hero.”
Though they are no longer together, Kym and Jamie have a “good” relationship and she’s backing him to be crowned King of the Jungle – though her loyalties are “torn” because her friend and ‘Corrie’ co-star Jennie McAlpine is also taking part on the show.
She said: “Jennie will do well. She’s a tough cookie and we’ll see her take on some tough challenges. Jennie’s a genuinely lovely person and that will be the only side people see – there isn’t another. At the same time, she won’t suffer fools.
“She’s not shouty or argumentative but I think she’ll be assertive. I would love for either Jamie or Jennie to win, but Polly would just be so happy if her daddy won, so because of that he has the edge for me. Jamie to win!”

Good Morning Britain interrupted by light smash

OHMYGOSSIP — Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid was left shaken this morning (21.11.17) when a cameraman accidentally smashed a light live on air.
The 46-year-old presenter looked visibly scared when a loud crash was heard from behind the scenes while weatherman Alex Beresford was giving the daily weather report on the ITV breakfast show at 8.03am today.
Susanna exclaimed: “Oh my days!”
A shocked Alex – who has signed up to the new series of ‘Dancing on Ice’ – attempted to continue his report before reassuring viewers: “No one was hurt!”
The camera then panned to a smashed glass lamp-shade with a lit bulb swinging from the ceiling and then cut to concerned looking presenters Susanna, Charlotte Hawkins and Piers Morgan.
Susanna added: “Apart from that light fitting! Oh dear, there’s a poor camera operator who’s looking a little bit sheepish. Don’t worry, it’ll all be fine.”
Piers joked: “He knows he’s just lost his job, unfortunately. I liked him too, it’ll be a shame to lose him.”
The show then cut to a commercial break before returning to the presenters who reassured viewers that the situation was being dealt with.
Piers said: “We’re just making sure everyone is alright over there. Nice work by the cameraman. They’re quite annoying lights, to be honest with you. Nobody is really quite sure why they’re there. They look like Christmas baubles. Well, they were like Christmas baubles. One of them has just been unceremoniously smashed!”
Susanna told viewers: “I have a feeling they will now be replaced with unbreakable plastic”.
Piers added: “I think someone is going to be replaced too. It may not just be the bulb!”
Susanna, 46, later tweeted a picture of smashed glass all over the studio floor and wrote: “Oops.”

Rebekah Vardy banned from I’m A Celeb tasks over fish allergy

OHMYGOSSIP — Rebekah Vardy has been banned from taking part in the next challenge on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ due to her fish allergy.
The 35-year-old WAG – the wife of Leicester City football player Jamie Vardy – has been ruled out of the forthcoming task Flushed Out – and any future trials involving fish on the creepy-crawly show – because of her life-threatening allergy.
The brunette beauty’s best friend Nicola McLean – who took part in the jungle show in 2008 – told The Sun Online: “Becky is allergic to shellfish. Obviously they are conscious of campmates’ health, so they allergy test you and I know she has come back allergic to shell fish, so they won’t let her do any fish-based activity.
“It’s such a shame as she would have been brilliant at it. I know swimming with fish won’t kill her but it’s all health and safety first.”
Rebekah has only been in the camp two days but she’s already proving herself a strong woman as she got stuck in to the Dingo Dollar Challenge last night (20.11.17).
However, it’s thought her enthusiasm may start to dwindle over the next coming days as it’s believed the camp mates will get “bitten to shreds” this week as mosquitoes are set to invade the jungle following a bout of wet weather.
Executive producer Oliver Nash told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Celebs will get bitten to shreds as it’s so humid. It’s going to drive them nuts.”
But it’s not just mosquitoes that will wreak havoc for the stars as medic Bob McCarron is certain that he’ll have to remove at least three ticks from their flesh.
Bob explained: “A minimum of three of them will have ticks. It will happen.
“They are my biggest problem. They are OK if you get them off within 12 hours but, any long, you get general malaise and headaches.”

Charley Webb wants Debbie Dingle’s dirty overalls back

OHMYGOSSIP — Charley Webb wants Debbie Dingle to start wearing her dirty garage overalls again.
The 28-year-old ‘Emmerdale’ actress’ feisty alter ego has become more “upmarket” in recent months, but she is hoping she’ll get to put her navy blue jumpsuit back on soon because of the “freezing” temperatures in the Yorkshire Dales, and just because she likes Debbie’s casual clothes more than her designer getup.
The blonde beauty told the Daily Star newspaper: “I much prefer dressed-down Debbie. I will be wanting those overalls back now winter is coming – it’s freezing in the village.”
Debbie’s swish style is mainly down to her fling with handsome businessman Tom Waterhouse [Ned Porteous], who has been splashing his cash on everything from flash cars to giving out loans to financially-struggling Debbie.
However, in forthcoming episodes Debbie’s mum Charity Dingle [Emma Atkins] – who was held at knife-point after attempting to con Tom out of cash – discovers something alarming about Tom after he got out of having a picture with Debbie and failing to attend the village’s Christmas lights switch on, Metro.co.uk reports.
It looks like Tom’s dark intentions could be about to be exposed after Debbie finally persuades Tom to meet with Charity.
Charley teased earlier this year that she had been thrown in at the deep end with her return storyline after making her comeback to the soap in November.
She said: “I’m going to be full on for the next year at least.
“I can’t really reveal anything, but it’s going to hugely affect the whole Dingle family.”
Charley – who has sons Buster, six, and Bowie, 12 months, with fiancé and co-star Matthew Wolfenden – had been on a year’s maternity leave.
The Tom storyline unfolds on November 30’s episode which kicks off on ITV from 7pm.

Amir Khan’s agent contacts I’m A Celeb bosses over snake fear

OHMYGOSSIP — Amir Khan’s agent contacted ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ this morning (21.11.17) to tell bosses he’s “really scared” of snakes following his trial last night.
The 30-year-old professional boxer hit the headlines today after a photograph emerged of him with a snake wrapped around his neck at a past event but, despite looking calm and collected in the shot, he surprised viewers with his screams during the first challenge as he screeched at producers to get him out after he picked up a slithery reptile while hunting for a key – sparking rumours he’s lied about his fears.
But his management team contacted organisers of the creepy-crawly series to confirm that the sportsman genuinely has a fear of snakes and his reaction was real.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Tuesday (21.11.17), Alison Hammond said: “His agent actually contacted the show and said he’s really scared of snakes.”
She added while discussing the photo: “As soon as you don’t want it there, you can just say get it off me. When you’re in there with a snakes, it’s actually quite scary.”
Following claims he faked his fear, Georgie Leahy – the woman who owns the albino Burmese python Slinky in the picture – said she remembers Amir being scared.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I remember him being a bit scared of Slinky, and one of the guys was like, no, do it, you’ve got to get a picture.
“I do remember he was scared – he doesn’t look it in the picture. You can tell Slinky really likes him because he’s got his tongue out.
“Slinky was really excited to meet him. Most of the time because Slinky loves me so much he’d come back to me, but in this picture he’s going right for Amir!”
Although he didn’t manage to take back any meals for camp last night, Amir has the chance to rectify the situation today with the new task Flushed Out.
‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ returns to ITV tonight at 9pm.

Stanley Johnson had flesh-eating bug cut out from bottom

OHMYGOSSIP — Stanley Johnson once had to have a flesh-eating bug removed from his bottom.
The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ contestant – the father of politician Boris Johnson – was trekking around Uganda back in 2002 when he noticed that his backside had ballooned to double its normal size and he was in a lot of pain.
The 77-year-old politician was rushed to the Tropical Diseases Centre in London when he touched back down in the UK and he later found out at a rare tumbu fly had laid its eggs in his underpants while they were hanging up to dry, had penetrated the skin on his bottom, and then the larvae had hatched and tried to eat their way out.
Writing in his book ‘Stanley, I Resume’, he said as he recalled the doctors extracting the fly from his bum: “It looked large and fleshy, well nourished, I would say. I guess it must have been half an inch long , and almost as wide.
“The doctor had plucked it out from a position very near the surface. It had obviously been making a last desperate effort to fight for life and air.”
His wife Jenny was so appalled by the thought of larvae wriggling around his bottom that she banished him to the spare room for a few days after the surgery.
Stanley is currently taking part in the creepy-crawly show and, although it’s only been on screens for two days, he’s already emerging as an early favourite to win.
He won over the nation on Sunday night when he admitted that he’s never watched the programme before and he didn’t even know Ant and Dec were the hosts.
Ant told Scarlett Moffat – who won the show last year – on the spin-off ‘Extra Camp’ last night: “Stanley is a bit of a legend already isn’t he? He has gone down well so far. Last year you’s all got on and were dead friendly, I wouldn’t like to see that again this year. We want a little bit of something different.”

Paul Hollywood slams Mary Berry after she ‘abandoned’ Great British Bake Off

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Hollywood has claimed Mary Berry “abandoned” the ‘Great British Bake Off’.
The 51-year-old celebrity baker came under fire last year when he announced that he was moving with the cooking show when Channel 4 swiped the rights to the format from the BBC as part of a mega-money deal, but he can’t understand why he was the one to get all the stick when it was his co-judge and presenters Mel and Sue who had decided to walk away from the programme out of “loyalty” to the channel.
Speaking to the Radio Times magazine, he said: “The girls abandoned it. But I was the one put under siege. I became the most hated man in the country!
“It’s not fun for someone that doesn’t like being in the limelight. I didn’t set out to be on the telly, I set out to be a good baker. And I didn’t want this…”
The silver fox has admitted it wouldn’t take a lot for him to walk away from television.
He added: “If you give me a cheque, you’ll never see me again.”
Asked how big a cheque it would take, he replied: “Not much, to be honest.”
However, despite hitting the headlines when he revealed he was moving to Channel 4 because the tent – where the bakers prepare their delights – is where he “belongs”, it worked out well for Paul as he was given a new presenting team in the shape of Prue Leith – his co-judge – and Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding as the hosts.
And, although many were skeptical about the show’s new home, it has done well in the ratings, with 10 million people tuning in to see Sophie Faldo win the last series.
However, Paul is frustrated with the people who refused to tune in to the show over the summer because they were so cut up about it being swiped from the BBC.
He told the publication: “There are people who can’t get past channel one, the older generation, who don’t understand how that works. They only flick a couple of buttons and it takes three clicks to watch Channel 4.”

Pete Wicks to shut down dog meat farm

OHMYGOSSIP — Pete Wicks is travelling to South Korea to shut down a dog meat farm.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star – who has a gorgeous French Bulldog called Eric – has admitted it’s an “absolute privilege” to be chosen to travel with The Humane Society International – also known as the HSI – to help put an end to the country’s barbaric practice, in which dogs are cruelly killed for their meat, by closing down a farm.
Taking to his Instagram account, the 27-year-old hunk wrote: “I am so honoured to announce that I will be travelling to South Korea with @hsiglobal @hsiukorg to help shut down a DOG MEAT farm. It is something that is very close to my heart and an absolute privilege to be able to use my voice for those that can’t ..please help the team and I however big or small by donating whatever you can using this link: hsi.org/helpnow or click the link in my bio #linkinbio (sic)”
Over the past few months, the HSI have saved over 100 dogs and newborn puppies from being electrocuted, butchered and boiled in a soup pot in South Korea.
The organisation also stepped in to rescue 149 canines from being sold at a meat market during the Bok Nal season where dogs are slaughtered and made into soup.
Photographs emerged online of the dogs being lifted from the tiny, dirty, crates and taken to safety before being flown to animal shelters in the US for rehoming.
Nara Kim, HSI’s South Korea dog meat campaigner, said: “Eating dog is a dying practice in Korea, especially among young people.
“However, the Bok Nal days of summer still lead many to eat dog meat soup in the mistaken belief that it will invigorate the blood in the sluggish heat.
“Our campaign shows them the disgusting conditions in which the dogs are forced in live in their own faeces, and their pitiful suffering, and it is changing hearts and minds. Some people say that dog eating is Korean culture, but you won’t find many young people who feel it’s a cultural habit we want to hold on to.”

Gemma Collins confirmed for ‘Celebs Go Dating’

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins is looking to mend her broken heart after being confirmed for the new series of ‘Celebs Go Dating’.
The latest line-up for the E4 show has been announced, including former child actor Jonathan Lipnicki – who starred in ‘Jerry Maguire’ and ‘Stuart Little’ – ‘Made In Chelsea’ lads Sam Thompson and Ollie Locke and singer Tallia Storm, who has previously dated Brooklyn Beckham.
Gemma, 36, signed up to the show after recently being snubbed by ex James Argent on ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ when he turned down her invitation to accompany her on holiday to Tenerife.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Gemma can’t wait to start filming – she’s completely putting herself in the dating experts’ hands as she’s determined to find true love on the show.
“She’s not going to mess around – she knows they’re the top people who can find her a man and she’s going to take all their advice.
“The only problem is. She really fancies the dating expert Eden Blackman!”
‘Love Island’s Stephen Bear will return to the show after being kicked off the last series when producers found out he was dating Charlotte Crosby. After their very public split last month, they’ve decided to give him another chance.
Tallia Storm will also be joining the line-up after her split from Brooklyn Beckham, and she hopes to find her dream “rugged bad boy with tattoos” whilst on the programme.
Fellow ‘Love Island’ star Mike Thalassatis will also be taking part, along with taekwondo Olympic medalist Jade Jones and comedian London Davies.

Dancing on Ice pros quit before show

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Dancing on Ice’ has been thrown into chaos after two of its professional skaters allegedly decided to quit the show.
Bosses have been forced to pull in some replacement skaters after Meg Marschall and her ex-boyfriend Lloyd Jones resigned from the reboot – just over a month before it’s set to hit screens – following a blazing row backstage over their split.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Meg and Lloyd have a lot of history and thought they could bury the hatchet and be on the same show. But they couldn’t do that and it resulted in ugly rows backstage causing them to be hauled in by production.
“Everyone agreed that the best course of action would be to let them go. And they’ve now been replaced. It has called a huge chaos for ITV and the show as the series starts in January and the process of finding new sexy skaters was long and painful.”
The pair – who had split earlier this year – agreed to bury the hatchet for the sake of the show and had been paired up with Kem Cetinay and Donna Air.
The source explained: “To make matters worse they had already both met their partners — Lloyd was with Donna Air, and Meg with Kem Cetinay.
“Production bosses didn’t put up much of a fight and they understood the decision to leave. I think both of them thought it was just easier if they’re not having to be around each other all of the time.
“The only thing production were conscious of when they had the conversation was that it would be unfair to keep one and not the other. So they both had to go.”
However, bosses already had a few replacements lined up in case of injury, so Kem will now be partnered with Alex Murphy while Donna will be with Mark Hanretty.
An ITV spokesman said: “Megan and Lloyd have left the show for personal reasons. They will be replaced by Alex Murphy and Mark Hanretty. None of the professional skaters begin training with their celebrity partners until next week.”

Joey Essex surprised to do work on new TV show

OHMYGOSSIP — Joey Essex was surprised by the workload on his new show ‘Five Star Hotel’.
The former ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star signed up to take part in the new E4 show alongside the likes of former co-star Lydia Bright, ‘Geordie Shore’s Holly Hagan, ‘Made In Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews, and ‘Ex On the Beach’ star Ashley Cain.
But the 27-year-old reality star admits he never expected to have to do any work on the show – which sees them work behind the scenes at a luxury resort in the Mediterranean – and insists getting up at 7am was a struggle.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: “It was a really good laugh but I don’t think any of us expected to go to a hotel and work.
“I was working behind the counter, doing reception work, cleaning the pool, taking guests to the room, getting up at 7am making teas for people.”
Joey also claims that whilst some of the celebrities were busy partying and not taking their job seriously, he was determined to “keep it professional”.
He added: “I tried taking it professionally. Out of all of everyone I kept it professional but at the same time had fun.”
‘Five Star Hotel’ will see the five celebrities work together to make sure their guests are happy, or they will put the hotel at risk of losing its prestigious five star rating.
A press release for the show reads: “Joey, Spencer, Lydia, Holly and Ashley will have to work together to show their guests a good time to keep their Five Star rating. But as the temperatures rise in the Mediterranean, will the celebrities be able to keep their cool under pressure? Will anyone find some summer loving? And will they manage to get up in time to serve breakfast?”
As of the time of writing, a release date for the first episode of the show has not yet been announced.

Amber Davies wants to do Our Girl

OHMYGOSSIP — Amber Davies wants to take over from Michelle Keegan in ‘Our Girl’.
The ‘Love Island’ star – who won the show with her boyfriend Kem Cetinay after they fell in love in the villa over the summer – trained for years as an actress, singer and dancer and has admitted she’d love nothing more than to bag the main role in the army drama.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: “I’m a trained actress and hopefully I can get back into it because it’s what I love. I’d love a part like Michelle Keegan’s in ‘Our Girl’. I know it wouldn’t be straight to that but you’ve just got to keep working hard.”
And there’s a possibility that the 21-year-old beauty could take over from Michelle as the ‘Coronation Street’ previously took on the role after Lacey Turner’s departure.
However, for now, Amber is focusing on supporting her boyfriend Kem on ‘Dancing on Ice’, which kicks off at the beginning of next year, after he joined the line-up last month.
She explained to the publication: “I’ve been to one [of Kem’s rehearsals] and I will continue to go to more, especially as it gets closer to the live shows. I’ll be there at every live show and just try and help him as much as I can.”
And the couple – who have only been together a few months – aren’t worried about being struck by the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’-style curse on the show.
Kem said: “Amber is a dancer and she knows there’s no curse. We’re comfortable in our relationship. We’re going there to ice skate and do my job and Amber’s going to be with me the whole way.”
Amber added: “I’ve been in rehearsal rooms my entire life. I know that it doesn’t just happen like that. You can’t go off when you’re in a relationship.”

Anton du Beke’s baby nerves

OHMYGOSSIP — Anton du Beke was extremely nervous in the lead up to his wife’s pregnancy.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional and his wife Hannah Summers – who welcomed twins in March – had turned to IVF to conceive and Anton admits it was a tough time but he couldn’t be more proud of Hannah for going through such an “ordeal”.
He said: “When you’re going down that road, it’s difficult to explain. I can’t say there was ever a day that went by when I wasn’t nervous about the whole thing.
“Hannah was remarkable – incredibly brave and resilient. It’s quite an ordeal for ladies, IVF. All I could do is support her. I couldn’t say. ‘I’ll take the injections today.’ I was enormously proud of her.”
And now the babies are born, Anton adores everything fatherhood has to offer.
He added to OK! magazine: “I can’t imagine doing it without FaceTime! Hannah is astonishing. Without Hannah it wouldn’t work. They’re seven months old and they’re doing wonderfully.
“They’re wonderful when they interact together. The rules were they were to move like me and look like their mum and it looks like it’s happening!”
It comes after Hannah revealed Anton “loves” getting up in the middle of the night to feed his twins.
She shared: “I am expressing and he takes the bottle so he can feed in the night. He is really involved. I said it would not be that much longer they will be feeding in the night, and Anton said he would miss it. How many men say that?”
Whilst Anton added: “I can’t tell you how much I love it. They are now eight weeks and it goes in a heartbeat. They are not sickly babies. They sleep well and they are calm. They sleep at the same time.”

Amir Khan bails on first I’m A Celebrity Bushtucker trial

OHMYGOSSIP — Amir Khan bailed out of the first ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ Bushtucker trial, leaving his campmates hungry.
The boxer was sent to take part in Critter-cal Rescue with ‘Made In Chelsea’ star Georgia Toffolo but his campmates were left disappointed when they returned back to the base camp with no food.
Whilst they both decided to have a go at the trial, things soon turned sour when Amir attempted to find the stars. He found the yellow prize in a mix of maggots in the first room and again in the second room, which was filled with cockroaches, but when faced with three holes – which had a crocodile, a snake and a mud crab in – Amir met his match.
The sportsman carefully put his hand in the third and final hole when he felt what he thought was the rope the star was attached to. He tugged it carefully, pulling it out to see it was actually a jungle python.
Terrified, Amir crawled away before shouting the infamous line, “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here”, much to the annoyance of Toff, who had endured being covered by cockroaches and maggots whilst locked in and buried underground.
Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec after pulling out, Amir said: “This was my first trial, I thought you’d take it easy on me, I’m scared of snakes … I feel bad for the team because I really wanted to get some meal tickets but I just had to give up, it got so hard.”
When they returned to camp and told their fellow campmates what had happened, Toff was less than impressed as Amir spun a story about their ordeal.
Whilst the group had to live on rice and beans for their main meal, they did win some biscuits in the Dingo Dollar challenge. Shappi, Jack and Vanessa also won another meal ticket, which Shappi was awarded, for taking part in the No Lights challenge.
‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ returns to ITV on Tuesday night (21.11.17), where Amir will take on the next Bushtucker Trial, Flushed Away.
