Jack Maynard flies back to UK

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Maynard has flown back to the UK.
The 22-year-old YouTube sensation has been allowed to fly back home – less than 24 hours after he was given the boot from ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ – by ITV producers because they didn’t want him to have to face questioning by the media in Australia following a number of allegations made against him in recent days.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, the internet star spent a few hours at a boutique hotel on Hope Island on the Gold Coast after he was pulled out of the camp, before having a meeting with bosses and his management team about going home.
Jack’s agent made the decision to pull him out of the show last night after a number of tweets posted online five years ago containing racist remarks resurfaced.
A spokesperson for the young star said in a statement: “In the last few days Jack has been the subject of a succession of media stories which, given his position as a contestant on ‘I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here’ – filmed in the Australian jungle, with no contact with the outside world, he has been unable to respond to.
“Since it is only fair that everyone should be aware of any allegations made against them and should also have the right to defend themselves, it was agreed that it would be better to bring him out of the show.
“Jack agrees with this decision which was made by his representatives and ITV and thanks everyone who has supported him in the show this far.”
The vlogger – who is the brother of Conor Maynard – has since offered a grovelling apology for the tweets, which he, himself, has called “inflammatory” and “insulting”.
In one post made back in June 2011, he said he was “at alices with my n****s!” and he also repeatedly called people “retards”.

Jeremy McConnell faces jail over community service breech

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy McConnell faces jail after he reportedly “failed to comply” with his community order.
The 27-year-old reality TV star was ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work after he was found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis earlier this year, but he’s allegedly failed to stick to the terms and conditions of his suspended sentence by going off to Turkey without permission and getting a hair transplant and will now appear at Cardiff Magistrates Court tomorrow (23.11.17) to discuss the breach.
A source told The Sun Online: “Jeremy has been reckless and stupid to think that the law wouldn’t catch up with him. He skipped dates so he could go out partying with his mates in Turkey and now it’s caught up with him.
“He’s had a hair transplant but the price could be a stint behind bars. He’s put his hands up though and will face the music on Thursday.
“Jeremy doesn’t seem that bothered about going back into court but that could all change depending on what the judge decides.”
This isn’t the first time Jeremy has landed himself in hot water as it was previously claimed he allegedly refused to scrub off some graffiti as part of his community service as he believed the spray-painted wall was created by famous artist Banksy.
A source said previously: “He has refused to scrub graffiti because he believes the artwork is a Banksy – and he’s told officials.
“A decision is yet to be made about Jeremy and how he will continue his community service going forward. He could end up in real trouble over it.”
As well as his community service, Jeremy was also ordered to pay £1,000 in court costs, £1,000 in compensation to Stephanie and a victims surcharge of £115.
He’s also been told to stay away from Stephanie, 24, for three years and any communication regarding their 11-month-old son Caben has to be done via social services, solicitors or the family court.

Jason Manford to front new family game show

OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Manford is to front a new family game show for ITV.
The 36-year-old comic – who has eight-year-old twin girls, a six-year-old daughter daughter and a five-year-old son with ex-wife Catherine, and a 22-month-old daughter with girlfriend Lucy Dyke – will pit parents against one another in ‘What Would Your Kid Do?’ as they predict how their youngsters will fare in a number of tasks.
The children will be unaware they are being filmed for the show and Jason thinks it will make for hilarious viewing.
He said: “As a dad of five, I am constantly left in tears laughing at some of the stuff that comes out their mouths, but I’m also often bowled over by their inquisitive minds and sense of right and wrong.
“So the idea of putting them in this kind of situation, where we get to watch them in as natural an environment as possible, seeing how they react, whilst I’m in the studio quizzing the parents…”
The parents who correctly predict how their child will get on will then play for a prize alongside their offspring.
The former ‘One Show’ presenter recently vowed never to let his work get in the way of his commitments to his own children.
He said: “There is no point getting to a ripe old age and all your kids have got is good reviews of stuff you have done.
“You still have to work to live and not the other way round. I make sure I take school holidays off, and if I have a couple of months just writing at home, I can do the school runs and sports days.
“It is tough juggling it all, but the thing that suffers most is my sleep. I’m like Margaret Thatcher and get about four hours a night, but she ran the country on that so I can’t really moan, can I?”

Dawn French had poop smeared across front door in racist attack

OHMYGOSSIP — Dawn French had poop smeared across her front door by racist yobs when she was married to Lenny Henry.
The 60-year-old comedienne has revealed she was subjected to a series of vile outbursts and racial attacks by “cowards” during her 25-year marriage to the stand-up comedian because of his Jamaican heritage.
Speaking on ‘Sunday Night’, she said: “It got pretty bad on some occasions.
“I mean there’s the big, open, ignorant, cowardly attacks that are things like excrement on your door. We had that.”
Dawn believes the abuse, which also saw her cars keyed – got even worse when the then-couple adopted their now 27-year-old mixed race daughter, Billie.
She explained: “That took me more by surprise because it’s everywhere. And only when you’re married to a black man do you think, ‘Oh hang on, that guy just said that and thought it was OK to say.’ ”
This isn’t the first time Dawn has opened up about the racial abuse she endured throughout their marriage.
She said recently: “I fell in love with a man and he happened to be black …
“We were lucky we had a big house and a gate and could employ people to protect us when we needed it. Lots of mixed-race couples weren’t so lucky.”
The couple divorced in 2010 but they have remained on good terms and Dawn still refers to the 59-year-old funny man as one of her “best friends.”
Three years after their divorce, Dawn married Mark Bignell, boss of Hamoaze House charity, and the couple now live in Cornwall together.
Of her new marriage, she said: “I remarried and I married a very cheerful man, and I’ve come to realise just how important cheerfulness is – it’s a wonderful thing.”

Marcel Somerville wants to do Celebrity Big Brother

OHMYGOSSIP — Marcel Somerville wants to do ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ next year.
The ‘Love Island’ hunk has been inundated with job offers since he left the famous villa over the summer, but he has admitted the Channel 5 reality TV show is the only one he has his eye on at the moment because he wants to do better than his Blazin’ Squad band mate Kenzie, who was runner-up in the house in 2005, and is convinced he will.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he said: “Put me in a ballroom with millions of people watching me dance and I’m going to be a wreck. Put me in a house full of people and I’ll be cool. I could top Kenzie on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.”
And, if he does manage to secure a spot on the line up next year, the money will certainly come in handy as he is trying to save up for an engagement ring for his girlfriend Gabby Allen after they fell in love while competing on ‘Love Island’ this year.
Gabby said recently: “If Marcel was to propose to me I’d say yes but for us it’s all about pace and there isn’t any rush right now but he said that he’s saving for a ring.
“That’d [a proposal will] be nice, I’ve never been proposed to before so I hope he’s going to pull something out of the bag.”
Although they’ve only been together a matter of months, the couple aren’t wasting any time taking things to the next level as they recently moved into a flat together in Bethnal Green, East London.
The blonde bombshell said: “This weekend I moved all my stuff in. It’s in Bethnal Green. Basically I moved out of my flat and we were looking for something in the meantime because we want to buy something later on this year, but Marcel was like ‘Why don’t you move into mine?’ But it’s in Chingford. And I’ve lived on my own for eight years, and at the moment his mum lives with him and I still like having my freedom. I wouldn’t be able to go out and get drunk and be back too late.
“So I was like, ‘I’m going to get somewhere in the meantime’ and he was like, ‘Well, why don’t I get somewhere with you then?’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Maynard’s shock exit from ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ was a last minute decision following tense “crisis talks” with producers.
The YouTube vlogger and younger brother of singer Conor Maynard, left the ITV show last night (21.11.17) after just three days in the jungle, following outrage concerning derogatory comments he had made on social media in the past.
But a show insider revealed to The Daily Mirror newspaper the decision to give Jack – who has over 1.2 million followers on YouTube – the boot was one that bosses agonised over until just a few hours before the show was due to air.
A source said: “Producers were locked in crisis talks for hours.
“ITV bosses were forced into a tense conversation about whether to kick out Jack.
“And they finally decided they had no choice but to let him go from the show.”
Following Jack’s exit from the jungle an ITV spokesman said: “Due to circumstances outside camp, Jack has had to withdraw from the show.”
Whilst a spokesman for the star added: “In the last few days Jack has been the subject of a succession of media stories which, given his position as a contestant on ‘I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here’ – filmed in the Australian jungle, with no contact with the outside world, he has been unable to respond to.
“Since it is only fair that everyone should be aware of any allegations made against them and should also have the right to defend themselves, it was agreed that it would be better to bring him out of the show. Jack agrees with this decision which was made by his representatives and ITV and thanks everyone who has supported him in the show this far.”
After he headed into the jungle, old tweets posted from Jack’s Twitter account used words that he himself called “inflammatory” and “insulting”.
In one post made back in June 2011, he said he was “at alices with my n****s!” and he also repeatedly called people “retards”.

Davood Ghadami getting dance help from Bonnie Langford

OHMYGOSSIP — Davood Ghadami has been getting dance advice from Bonnie Langford.
The 35-year-old actor is doing well on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ – on which he is partnered with Nadiya Bychkova – but is pleased he can turn to his ‘EastEnders’ screen mum, who is a former dancer.
He said: “A lot of people in the dancing world know Bonnie really well and she’s been giving me tips. When she found out I was going on ‘Strictly’, she was so excited she jumped on me.”
Davood – who has daughters Eva, five and Grace two, with wife Isobel – also feels “incredibly lucky” to have the support of his wife while juggling his working commitments.
He said: “Isobel’s a primary school teacher and so good with our girls. I’m an incredibly lucky man.
“She tries to come to the studio and watch me rehearse most weeks but obviously she has our two little girls to look after.”
Davood and Isobel have no worries about the notorious ”Strictly’ curse’, which has seen relationships crumble after contestants appear on the show.
He said: “My life couldn’t be the way it is without her support. She laughs off the stories about the ‘Strictly’ curse.
“I’m an actor and she’s used to me pretending to be someone’s lover or husband.”
And though the hunky star’s kids have been watching him on the show, he’s not their favourite dancer as Eva has been backing Jonnie Peacock – who departed the competition at the weekend – over him.
He told Closer magazine”Eva is a big ‘Strictly’ fan. She talks about it all the time and how Craig [Revel Horwood] is being really mean.
“I think Jonnie is her favourite, but she has to tell me she wants me to win.”

Gemma Collins desperate for love on Celebs Go Dating

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins will pull out of ‘Celebs Go Dating’ early if she doesn’t find her love match.
The 36-year-old reality star was confirmed to be appearing in the E4 dating show when it returns to screens, but she has now piled the pressure on resident love experts Nadia Essex and Eden Blackman, as she says she won’t be sticking around until the end if they don’t find her dream man quickly.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: “I’m not really feeling them [Nadia and Eden] at the minute. I don’t know how long I’m going to stay around for.
“I don’t know if I’ll make it until the end of this show. I’ve got a lot of expectation of the love finders. They are the experts, so I’m going to leave it to them hopefully they’ll find me love. And if they can’t then I’ll just have to move along.”
Gemma insists she’s happy to be put out of her comfort zone, but says she won’t say yes to a man just to make things “easier”.
She added: “I’ll totally come out of my comfort zone, but I’m not a yes girl either. I’m never going to say to Nadia and Eden ‘yes I like them’ to make it easier. They are the experts, they have got to find me love. That’s what I’ve signed up to do. And if they can’t, they can’t.”
The ‘Only Way Is Essex’ star signed up to the show earlier this month, after her ex-boyfriend James ‘Arg’ Argent rejected her advances once again on national television.
A source said at the time: “Gemma can’t wait to start filming – she’s completely putting herself in the dating experts’ hands as she’s determined to find true love on the show.
“She’s not going to mess around – she knows they’re the top people who can find her a man and she’s going to take all their advice.
“The only problem is. She really fancies the dating expert Eden Blackman!”
Gemma will appear on the show alongside former child actor Jonathan Lipnicki – who starred in ‘Jerry Maguire’ and ‘Stuart Little’ – ‘Made In Chelsea’ lads Sam Thompson and Ollie Locke, ‘Love Island’ stars Stephen Bear and Mike Thalassatis, taekwondo Olympic medalist Jade Jones, comedian London Davies, and singer Tallia Storm, who has previously dated Brooklyn Beckham.

Will Ferrell says Daddy’s Home 2 nearly didn’t happen

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Ferrell said ‘Daddy’s Home 2’ was “touch and go” to go ahead until they landed Mel Gibson and John Lithgow to star.
The 50-year-old actor is reprising his role as emotional stepdad Brad Whittaker alongside Mark Wahlberg – who is also back as tough man Dusty Mayron – and Ferrell revealed the sequel wasn’t “worth doing” until they had the right actors to play their dads.
Speaking on BBC Radio 2 on Tuesday (21.11.17), Ferrell said: “The first one was very successful and the studio begged us to sort of think about a second and we said sure we will put our heads together to find a premise that works.
“Sean Anders and John Morris, who wrote script, kind of came to us with this where we pick up the storyline with Brad and Dusty working in unison as they parent these kids together and then they bring their fathers into the fold as they celebrate Christmas under one roof and all those dynamics create for a crazy situation. We thought it was worth doing but we had to land the right kind of iconic actors to play our dads otherwise it’s not worth doing the movie so it was fairly touch and go until we landed Mel Gibson and John Lithgow and they are perfect to play our fathers. John is the perfect Don Whittaker to my Brad Whittaker. We’re a very emotional and progressive father and son and not scared to share public displays of affection.
“Mel is perfect as Mark’s dad with his old-school tough love attitude.”
The new film follows father and stepfather Dusty (Wahlberg, 46) and Brad (Ferrell) who join forces to make Christmastime perfect for the children their jointly raise.
However, when Dusty’s macho man dad Kurt Mayron (Gibson, 61) and Brad’s gentle father Don Whittaker (Lithgow, 72) arrive they turn the holidays upside down.
After a sudden change of plans, the four men decide to take the kids to a luxury resort for a getaway which turns into a chaotic adventure.
Throughout the film, the two father/son pairs come head-to-head after each of them are harbouring some resentment towards each other.

David Heyman teases Fantastic Beasts thriller

OHMYGOSSIP — David Heyman has teased ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ will be more of a “thriller”.
The 56-year-old film producer brought all eight ‘Harry Potter’ films to the big screen and last year, he worked on the Eddie Redmayne-led spin-off ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’, and now he is working on the anticipated sequel.
Unlike the 2017 movie Heyman has revealed the upcoming sequel – again – which again has been penned by ‘Harry Potter’ creator J.K Rowling – has a “very different feel than the first”.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Heyman said: “We delve deeper into Jo’s wizarding world – we’re in Paris, we’re in London and New York – the world is expanding. As you can tell from the image, we’re following quite a few characters. The new film has a very different feel than the first. It’s got a thriller quality. And it’s also a story about love and passion and all its forms – paternal, romantic, political. And it’s just a thrilling and very fun adventure. We took all we’ve learned from one and just expanded that and created a richer, deeper and more thrilling film which I’m excited to be part of.”
On Friday (17.11.17), the title for the new movie was revealed to be called ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’.
Following on from the end of the first film, the sequel sees the Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald [Johnny Depp] escaping from the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA).
Now the wizard is gathering followers to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.
In order to stop him and his plans, a young Albus Dumbledore [Jude Law] enlists the help of Magizoologist Newt Scamander [Redmayne] who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead.
The new film sees Redmayne and Depp reprising their respective roles alongside a number of other returning casts Katherine Waterston, 37, as Auror Tina Goldstein, Alison Sudol, 32, as Queenie and Dan Fogler, 41, as Jacob Fowalski.
Ezra Miller, 25, is back as Credence, Zoe Kravitz, 28, will take on the role of Leta Lestrange and Callum Turner, 27, will play Newt’s brother Theseus Scamander.
David Yates, who helmed four ‘Harry Potter’ films and the first ‘Fantastic Beasts’, is set to return to the director’s seat for the next instalment with Rowling penning the script for the story which is set in 1927.

Oscar Isaac teases Last Jedi storyline

OHMYGOSSIP — Oscar Isaac has revealed his character Poe Dameron in ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ doesn’t trust Admiral Holdo.
The 38-year-old actor is reprising his role as the Resistance fighter in the eighth instalment of the sci-fi franchise alongside newcomer Laura Dern as Admiral Holdo – who has temporarily taken over the Resistance – but Isaac has teased the two characters don’t see eye-to-eye.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Isaac said: “It’s definitely appropriate that they’ve paired us because a lot of the friction and conflict comes between Poe and that relationship with Admiral Holdo, who is this person that’s been – at least temporarily – put in charge of the Resistance. She doesn’t particularly look like your typical military leader, and so I think there’s a bit of distrust for Poe.
“He’s not sure what to make of her, and then the way she speaks, the things she says.”
Isaac also teased Poe is “trying to wrap his mind around” thinking about the “bigger picture” when it comes to strategic plans and doesn’t agree with Holdo’s view on the Resistance.
He said: “Even if something seems like it’s not the most heroic thing to do in the moment, thinking about the bigger picture is sometimes more important. That’s something he’s trying to wrap his mind around, but at the same time, with the Resistance being in such a precarious situation, he wants to do the right thing, and doesn’t want to just wait and let things happen. He doesn’t necessarily agree with the way Holdo sees the role of the Resistance in this particular moment.”
‘The Last Jedi’ is set to feature a number of returning cast members, including ‘Star Wars’ legend Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), John Boyega (Finn), Daisy Ridley (Rey), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Andy Serkis (Snoke), Domhnall Gleeson (General Lux) and the late Carrie Fisher as General Leia.
The film is set to be released this December.

Lizzy Caplan to join Gambit movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Lizzy Caplan is in talks to join the ‘Gambit’ movie.
The 35-year-old ‘Mean Girls’ star looks to be taking on the female lead in the ‘X-Men’ spin-off movie alongside Channing Tatum as the titular superhero, Variety report.
Although in talks, it hasn’t been revealed what her role will be as details are being kept under wraps.
20th Century Fox revealed the February 14, 2019, release date they had reserved on their calendar will be filled by the Tatum-led movie, with Gore Verbinski helming the project.
Original director Rupert Wyatt left over budgetary disagreements and his replacement Doug Liman dropped out of the production because he “never found a personal connection” to the film.
Tatum’s titular character, also known as Remy LeBeau, is a New Orleans-based mutant with special powers, including manipulating kinetic energy, and he has a deck of cards among his weapons.
Gambit was created by writer Chris Claremont and artist Jim Lee and made his first appearance in ‘Uncanny X-Men Annual #14’ back in 1990.
The script for the motion picture has been penned by Josh Zetumer, following previous reports of multiple script re-writes, and Tatum, Reid Carolin, Simon Kinberg, and Lauren Shuler Donner will co-produce the project.
Taylor Kitsch previously portrayed the character in the 2009 film ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’.
‘Magic Mike’ actor Tatum admitted he can relate to his alter-ego because he has been to New Orleans on several occasions.
He said: “I love Gambit. I grew up in the South; my father’s from Louisiana. We’d go to New Orleans and I heard all the dialects.
“It felt so different from the rest of America; it has its own ancient culture. So I identified with that. And he always felt the most real of the ‘X-Men’ to me.”

Henry Cavill and Joss Whedon has same vision for Superman

OHMYGOSSIP — Henry Cavill and Joss Whedon shared the same vision for Superman in the ‘Justice League’ film.
The 34-year-old actor has starred as the iconic superhero in three movies so far – ‘Man of Steel’, ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ and now ‘Justice League’ – under the guidance DC Extended Universe creator Zack Snyder, but the filmmaker stepped away from the latest release back in March after his daughter, Autumn, died.
Snyder was replaced by ‘Avengers’ filmmaker Whedon and Cavill – who admitted he loves the “traditional” idea of Superman – revealed he bonded quickly with Whedon on what should happen with the character.
Speaking to the LA Times newspaper, Cavill said: “I’ve always enjoyed the traditional, very classic view on Superman in the comic books. I think there’s an enormous complexity to that character. I know when I was working with Joss, he and I saw eye-to-eye on some of the aspects of Superman. That paragon of hope. That ideal. That wonderful feeling of, ‘Oh, good Superman’s here.’ I have also developed a very personal and protective relationship over this character, and it was just lovely to have the opportunity to smile and feel good.”
‘Justice League’ focuses on Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg, who must come together to protect Earth from the alien threat of Steppenwolf.
Cavill thinks it’s a film “which everyone can access” from kids to parents to grandparents.
He said: “I think there’s an opportunity for these heroes to be represented in a way in which everyone can access. It should be funny. You should be able to take your kids to it.”
Cavill also said there is now a “wonderful opportunity” to develop a new big screen Superman story.
He said: “There’s a wonderful opportunity to tell the Superman story. Now there is a fantastic chance to show Superman in his full colours and tell a very complex, character-driven movie that is based on story and have that wonderful sensation of hope and happiness. A feel-good movie with lessons laced in there as well.”

Dame Julie Walters says Dick Van Dyke is full of energy

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Julie Walters says Dick Van Dyke has been able to dance “all day” on the set of ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ and is “full of energy”.
The 67-year-old actress plays housekeeper Ellen in the reboot of ‘Mary Poppins’ – with Emily Blunt taking over from Dame Julie Andrews as the titular character – and the film sees Van Dyke returning as the old bank manager, which he played in disguise in the original 1964 movie.
Despite being 91, Van Dyke has been the life and soul of the shoot and Walters has loved working with him.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, Walters said: “I play Ellen the housekeeper. I get to sing and fly! It’s fabulous. Emily Blunt is amazing as Mary Poppins and, of course, we had Dick Van Dyke play the old bank manager, who he played in disguise in the original film. He is amazing – 91 but so full of energy, dancing all day. He did say he was a bit stiff the next day but we all are if we’ve been dancing all day. A lovely man.”
‘Mary Poppins Returns’ sees Jane and Michael Banks all grown up but after Michael suffers a personal loss, the enigmatic nanny Mary Poppins re-enters their lives along with the optimistic street lamplight Jack.
Using her unique magical skills, Mary Poppins tries to help the family rediscover the joy and wonder that is missing in their lives.
The film sees Walters starring alongside Blunt, Van Dyke, Ben Whishaw (Michael), Emily Mortimer (Jane), Lin-Manuel Miranda (Jack) and Meryl Streep (Topsy).
Walters is also set to reprise her role as Rosie Mulligan from the hit 2008 movie adaptation of ‘Mamma Mia!’ in the upcoming sequel and revealed she will be singing ‘I’ve Been Waiting For You’.
She said: “I’ve just finished filming that. We were on this beautiful island in Croatia. It was like heaven, not like work at all.
“I get to sing ‘I’ve Been Waiting For You’, a gorgeous ABBA number. And I do get some love action in this one but I keep my clothes on, you’ll be glad to know. I am sure the nation will be sighing with relief.”
