Dan Stevens so proud of Beauty and the Beast

OHMYGOSSIP — Dan Stevens is so proud that he got to be part of ‘Beauty and the Beast’.
The 35-year-old actor starred as The Beast in the 2017 live-action remake of the classic Disney animation – alongside Emma Watson and Luke Evans – and admitted it was amazing seeing the “ripples of love” following the release of the movie.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’ on Friday (24.11.17), Stevens said: “It was amazing. It has been an incredible year actually and seeing that film go out and the ripples of love all over the world.”
‘Beauty and the Beast’ has been a huge hit, banking an astonishing $1 billion at the box office worldwide, currently making it the 21st highest-grossing film of all-time.
Now, Stevens is currently starring in a new movie about revered Victorian era English author Charles Dickens – ‘The Man Who Invented Christmas’ – alongside Hollywood legend Christopher Plummer and the ‘Downton Abbey’ star said he was “fascinated to dive” into the iconic ‘A Christmas Carol’ author.
He said: “I was fascinated to dive into the man behind it and dust him off the shelf. We often think of the Victorian period and anything period as grey and dull with Dickens with a beard and he was this very sane, calm man who wrote all these wonderful novels that we just now leave on the shelf. The guy must have been very manic, I think. [And] it’s all true. His daughter talks about it in her diaries walking into the study finding dad in the mirror pulling these faces and mad voices and not wanting to be disturbed for hours until he had conjured these characters and visualised and found the exact name.
“He couldn’t work with them and put them on the page. And that’s a topic we pick up on in the film.”
The new film by Bharat Nalluri tells the story of how Dickens brought to life characters including Ebenezer Scrooge, Tiny Tim and other classic characters in ‘A Christmas Carol’ – which was wrote in only six weeks and continues to endear as one of the most popular festive stories of all-time.

Josh Gad wants Frozen-Ghostbusters crossover film

OHMYGOSSIP — Josh Gad wants to do a ‘Frozen’ and ‘Ghostbusters’ crossover film.
The 36-year-old actor felt “beyond honoured” when he saw a photograph of his character Olaf from the magical movie as a giant balloon embedded in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade in New York City yesterday (23.11.17), but seeing his alter ego floating around the Big Apple sparked an idea for a future blockbuster.
He said: “Beyond honored. #olaf #ThankfulFor #MacysThanksgivingParade.”
He then pitched his idea to ‘Ghostbusters’ director Paul Feig via Twitter.
He wrote: “@paulfeig I feel like there’s a Ghostbusters crossover to be discussed.”
And it looks like the 55-year-old director is on board with the idea as he simply replied: “‘Frozebusters.’ Let’s do it!”
Gad then added: “Great. I’ll have Disney and Sony get into it on Monday. (sic)”
Meanwhile, Feig was at the helm of the 2016 reboot of the hugely popular 1984 Ivan Reitman movie, which most notably swapped the main roles from male to female, and starred the likes of Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, and Kate McKinnon.
However, despite creating a buzz when it was announced, the feature didn’t do as well as expected when it hit cinema screens, and he now believes the fact that the movie unintentionally became a “cause” movie for gender equality is the reason it didn’t sell as well as it had hoped.
He said previously: “I think it kind of hampered us a little bit because the movie became so much of a cause. I think for some of our audience, they were like, ‘What the f**k? We don’t wanna go to a cause. We just wanna watch a f***ing movie.'”
The filmmaker admits the lack of success the movie garnered is a “great regret” in his life, as he “really loved” the feature, and was convinced it would be a success.

Gemma Collins collapses after suffering excruciating stomach pains

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins was reportedly found collapsed on her make-up artist’s bathroom floor in the early hours of Friday morning (24.11.17).
The ‘TOWIE’ star had been getting ready at her beautician Lisa’s house for a day of filming after a night out on the town with her on/off love interest James ‘Arg’ Argent, and is believed to have received “immediate medical attention” after suffering excruciating stomach pains.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “She was getting ready for the day at her makeup artist Lisa’s home and then nipped to the bathroom.
“The next thing Lisa knew was that Gemma had fallen to the floor – so she called for immediate medical attention and may now need to go to hospital.”
Gemma was working on scenes for the Christmas special of the ITVBe reality series, but the insider says filming the episode has been postponed due to Gemma’s illness.
They added: “Gemma has struggled with some ill health recently after suffering with kidney stone symptoms.
“Family and friends are hoping that she will make a rapid recovery but for now ‘TOWIE’ filming has been put on hold.”
Gemma and Arg were joined by co-star Chloe Sims on their boozy night out celebrating his birthday and in one video shared on Instagram, the bolshy blonde could be heard asking for an Amaretto drink whilst singing karaoke.
She captioned the post: “I just [heart] it when you sing we have had the best time celebrating your birthday I’m actually so sad to go home. singing means your happy #letsstaytogether I’m so so so proud of you @real_arg I love to see you sing I will watch this so many times lol over and over ha ha (sic)’
Last week, Gemma cancelled her appearance at a nightclub in Sheffield after contracting cystitis.
The reality star was due to entertain students at Plug last Thursday (16.11.17) but had to pull out after being told to get some bed rest by her doctor after coming down with the water infection.
Gemma broke the news to her fans in an Instagram video which she recorded after switching on Freeport’s Christmas lights in Essex.
Alongside the clip, Gemma wrote: “Lovely to meet you all this evening was a blast but sadly I won’t be making Sheffield tonight.
“I didn’t want to let anyone down doctors orders bed and rest for me I have a water infection guys I’m so sorry I don’t want to let anyone down but I have to rest xxx love you all.”

Giovanni Pernice has never danced an Argentine Tango

OHMYGOSSIP — Debbie McGee is feeling nervous about her Argentine Tango on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ as her professional dance partner Giovanni Pernice has never done one before.
The 59-year-old television entertainer has had a tough week after suffering with multiple injuries, and on top of that, the 27-year-old hunk has been forced to call in fellow dancer Vincent Simone to help out with the difficult routine.
Writing in her column for The Daily Telegraph newspaper, Debbie said: “Giovanni is also under pressure because he’s never danced an Argentine Tango, so Vincent Simone has helped to choreograph our routine.”
It comes after the former magician’s assistant admitted she didn’t know if she’ll be fit enough to do ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ tomorrow (25.11.17) because her foot keeps “giving way” and her leg keeps “buckling.”
Debbie and Giovanni found themselves in the dreaded dance off last week after she slipped down the leader board but, although she was saved by the judges when they opted to send home Paralympian Jonnie Peacock, she doesn’t know how much longer she can stay in the competition because of the damage she has done to her body.
She said: “The samba really pulled the muscles over my hip bones. It actually felt like a tendon had gone over my hip bone, and when I put my weight on my left foot it kept giving way and my leg was buckling.
“I had more physio after Saturday. They gave me ice packs. I had to go back to the hotel and soak in a bath and put an ice pack on.”
Despite her sore joints, Debbie has been slaving away in rehearsals to ensure she is ready to perform tomorrow – but the risky routine is quite “dangerous.”
She teased: “I have got a few bruises.
“We have kicked each other. It was nearly quite dangerous.”

Andrea McLean gets Loose Women hen do

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrea McLean’s ‘Loose Women’ co-stars threw her a hen do live on the TV show on Friday (24.11.17).
The 48-year-old presenter is engaged to partner Nick Feeney and was treated to the full works, a Michael Buble impersonator, strippers, and even took part in a game of Mr and Mrs before joining her fellow panelists on a ‘party bus’ outside the ITV studios.
The brunette beauty, who had her mum and best friend in the studio audience, couldn’t stop smiling as the surprise activities unfolded and glowed whilst dressed in a pink dress with a veil and a ‘bride to be’ ribbon.
Speaking before the shenanigans got underway, Andrea confessed she had a “meltdown” about her forthcoming nuptials, but is now looking forward to enjoying her big day.
She said: “I am excited now. About a month ago I had a meltdown about the whole thing. I am really excited.
“I am looking forward to saying I do and the two families coming together.
“We are not staying apart the night before. We are going to get ready separately so I won’t see him until I walk in.”
Nick popped the question during a romantic getaway to Paris, France, in August and was determined to capture the moment on camera, so took a selfie as he placed a ring on Andrea’s finger.
Confirming the news on ‘Loose Women’, Andrea said at the time: “I’m engaged! It actually happened last week. You know we went on this driving holiday, and I’ve got a little soft spot car and we were desperate to drive in the sunshine. But it was raining, I was a tiny bit menopausal, a little bit ratty, and a bit grumpy. And then we got to Paris. When we first met you know that padlock bridge, well I made up this jokey padlock when we first got together, and we went back to see the padlock, but they took them all off … and the bridge is now a glass balustrade. And I’m thinking, ‘He has got to do something really nice to make up for this.’ He said, ‘It’s our bridge lets reclaim it, come on, let’s take a selfie. He got the phone out and then got the ring and said, ‘Will you marry me?’ Then went click [and took the photo].”
Andrea – who split from her first husband Nick Green in 2005 after five years of marriage and 17 years together, and tied the knot with ‘Our House’ presenter Steve Toms in August 2009 before separating from him in December 2011 – was surprised Nick proposed because neither of them had planned to take their relationship to the next step.
She said: “We kind of mentioned it but it was not on the cards at all.”

Aidan Turner confirms Poldark will end after five series

OHMYGOSSIP — Aidan Turner has confirmed ‘Poldark’ will end after five series.
The 34-year-old actor portrays Captain Ross Poldark in the hit BBC1 period drama and, despite already filming the fourth series, the hunk has now confirmed there will be no more episodes after the end of series five, due to all the stories being covered.
Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper, Aidan said: “We’ve covered all the books, and the entire stories. It’s a five-year gig, when it’s all done.”
The popular programme – which is based around Winston Graham’s saga – follows Poldark, a redcoat returning to Cornwall after the American Revolutionary War, only to find his feather dead and his true love about to marry someone else.
In June, Turner’s co-star Eleanor Tomlinson, who plays Demelza – the servant and wife to Poldark – admitted she would love to see the show make it to a fifth series and said it would be a “dream come true”.
The flame-haired beauty said: “If we go to five series that would be a dream. We would be very lucky and honoured to get that far.
“I think if we go to five series then that would be a dream come true — and how many series have done that?”
Series four – which is set to air next year – sees Poldark move to London to become an MP which will lead Demelza into more socially-exalted circles and Tomlinson recently said her on-screen alter ego “becomes more independent”.
She said: “Demelza becomes more independent, because Ross goes off to London and she very much becomes the boss of Nampara.
“That is her power – she and Ross are on an equal level and I wonder how he will respond to that.”

Jeremy McConnell’s friends grateful for prison sentence

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy McConnell’s friends think his prison sentence will be good for him.
The former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star will spend the next 18 weeks behind bars after he breached his community order by going off to Turkey without permission to get a hair transplant and new teeth earlier this month but, despite spending the festive season locked up, his pals hope it will force him to lay off the drugs and alcohol.
A source told The Sun Online: “We’re all stunned – no one thought he would be getting jailed today. But going to prison could be the best thing for Jeremy. There’s no booze, no wild parties – a chance for him to think about what he’s going to do with his life.
“Of course everyone is upset he’s going to be inside over Christmas. It’s going to be a tough but this could help him change his life for the better.”
The 27-year-old hunk was slapped with 200 hours of community service in August – narrowly missing out on prison – after he was found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis while she was holding their now-10-month-old son Caben.
But he hit the headlines just days after he started the unpaid work in Glasgow as he allegedly refused to scrub off some graffiti as he believed the spray-painted wall was created by famous artist Banksy.
A source said previously: “He has refused to scrub graffiti because he believes the artwork is a Banksy – and he’s told officials.
“A decision is yet to be made about Jeremy and how he will continue his community service going forward. He could end up in real trouble over it.”
As well as his community service, Jeremy was also ordered to pay £1,000 in court costs, £1,000 in compensation to Stephanie and a victims surcharge of £115.
He’s also been told to stay away from Stephanie, 24, for three years and any communication regarding Caben has to be done via social service or the family court.

Scotty T replaces Stephen Bear on Just Tattoo Of Us

OHMYGOSSIP — Scotty T has replaced Stephen Bear on ‘Just Tattoo Of Us’.
The ‘Geordie Shore’ hunk has been asked to front the next series of the inking show next year alongside his former co-star Charlotte Crosby after her on/off boyfriend Stephen Bear quit his presenting duties following their split earlier this month.
A source told The Sun Online: “Scotty has a great on-screen rapport with Charlotte. He’s really funny, personable and popular with fans so they think he’s going to be a massive hit.”
The new hosting gig has come along at the right time as Scotty – whose real name is Scott Timlin – hasn’t had the best year after he was forced to quit ‘Geordie Shore’ halfway through filming after he accidentally injured his back while coughing.
The 29-year-old heartthrob said at the time: “I coughed and took my jumper off fast on the first day. I heard a click then had a sharp pain. I went to have chiropractic therapy.
“I found out that I’ve got spasming muscles next to my spine and it was causing my spine to move and put out of place.”
Bosses have been eyeing up Scotty for the show since Stephen – who is known simply as Bear – decided not to reprise his presenting gig because he was reportedly offered another job – thought to be ‘Celebs Go Dating’ – that will clash with the filming of the series three.
A source said at the time: “Bear has been offered another gig and the dates clashed with ‘Just Tattoo Of Us’ filming so he has decided to leave. MTV tried their best to come up with a solution but it just wasn’t possible. Once Bear was offered the other job, producers knew it was only a matter of time before he quit the show.”
But his exit comes just weeks after he split from his co-star Charlotte following a row.
Bosses at MTV were trying to figure out a way to have both of them presenting on the show but separately so that they didn’t have to work with one another anymore.

Rebekah Vardy’s ex-husband wants her to go through ‘hell’ on I’m A Celeb

OHMYGOSSIP — Rebekah Vardy’s ex-husband wants her to “go through hell” on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’.
Mark Godden is hoping his former flame – who is now married to footballer Jamie Vardy – stays in the competition for as long as possible but, not because he wants her to win, purely because he is enjoying seeing her suffer – and he’s even getting his family and friends to vote for her to do Bushtucker Trials.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Mark said: “I’m an avid fan and this year it’s even better because my ex is on it.
“While I don’t want to see her win, although she’d love to, I want her to go through hell. We are all voting for her to get to the trials because we want her to suffer. We all want her to scream a bit.”
The 38-year-old electronics professional still holds a grudge against Rebekah – who he divorced in 2003 – after she allegedly cheated on him with a jet ski instructor – allegations she has vehemently denied.
However, although he’s enjoying seeing her squirm on screen, Mark doesn’t understand why she’s even on the show as “she’s not a celebrity, she just happens to be married to an England footballer”.
He added: “I’ve had no contact since our divorce but you can’t help hearing about her.”
Rebekah’s representatives said: “Perhaps his memory of the marriage isn’t entirely clear as many of his claims aren’t accurate. There was no infidelity whilst she was married to Mark and once they agreed to separate, she went on to live her own life, as did Mark.
“She was a very damaged teenager when she met Mark. He proposed when she was still a teenager and she agreed because she felt like it was the right thing to do as he and his family had been so good to her. She quickly realised she shouldn’t have married him and they agreed to separate. It was kinder to separate than to stay in a loveless marriage, no one can blame a teenage girl for that.
“Becky would continue to wish Mr Godden all the best with his life.”
Meanwhile, Mark isn’t the only one who has been voting for Rebekah to do the gruesome trials as her husband Jamie – with whom she has 10-month-old son Finlay and two-year-old daughter Sofia – has also been putting her forward because he wanted to see how “fearless” she was.
He wrote on Twitter: “Bex’s face when she finds out that I voted for her 5 times on the app to do the eating trial.. Sorry babe just wanted everyone to see that you’re fearless & you proved me right. (sic)”

Debbie McGee’s leg keeps giving away

OHMYGOSSIP — Debbie McGee doesn’t know if she’ll be fit enough to do ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ tomorrow (25.11.17) because her foot keeps “giving way” and her leg keeps “buckling.”
The 59-year-old television entertainer found herself in the dreaded dance off last week after she slipped down the leader board but, although she was saved by the judges when they opted to send home Paralympian Jonnie Peacock, she doesn’t know how much longer she can stay in the competition because she’s suffering with multiple injuries.

“I had more physio after Saturday. They gave me ice packs. “I had to go back to the hotel and soak in a bath and put an ice pack on.”
Despite her sore joints, the magician’s assistant has been slaving away in rehearsals to ensure her Argentine Tango is ready to perform tomorrow – but the risky routine, choreographed by her professional partner Giovanni Pernice, is quite “dangerous.”
She teased: “I have got a few bruises.
“We have kicked each other. It was nearly quite dangerous.”
Debbie and Giovanni’s on-screen chemistry has been the hot topic of conversation since week one of the competition in September but she’s adamant they’re just friends.
Debbie – who was married to Paul Daniels until his death last year – said recently: “We really have a close relationship. It’s a special friendship … it’s not a love affair, it’s an incredible, deep, friendship.”

Danny Dyer’s daughter is working back in a pub

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Dyer’s daughter has gone back to working in a pub.
The ‘EastEnders’ star was hoping to get his 21-year-old daughter Dani involved in more acting this year, but it seems the jobs aren’t coming in as quickly as she had hoped as she has gone back to pulling pints at The Owl in Loughton, Essex.
The aspiring actress – who has starred in ‘Bonded By Blood 2’ and ‘We Still Kill The Old Way’ – shared a few pictures of herself and a colleague squatting behind the bar.
Despite having to work part-time in between jobs, Dani’s famous father Danny – who joined the long-running soap in 2013 – was hoping to secure his daughter a part on the BBC show after seeing how well she was doing on screen.
A source said previously: “Danny reckons he has the power to get Dani in as a permanent star on ‘EastEnders’. He has been putting the odd word in with the producers and has even brought her down to the set once or twice.
“Dani has the potential to be a big star and her dad is hugely supportive of her. Given how popular he is on the show she is in a great position, too.”
Danny, on the other hand, has just signed a new deal with the soap to continue playing pub landlord Mick Carter for the next year or so.
The spokesperson said: “The deal is agreed – he is staying at ‘EastEnders’.”
The confirmation comes after the 40-year-old actor was recently caught on camera telling fans he was unsure about his future in the show.
He said in the video: “This takes up my life this does. I ain’t signed yet. I’m meant to sign in October but I might elbow it.”
When asked by fans when he was releasing another movie, Danny replied: “F***ing tell me about it.”

Maisie Smith to return to EastEnders next year

OHMYGOSSIP — Maisie Smith is set to return to ‘EastEnders’ next year.
The 16-year-old actress will reprise her role as Tiffany Butcher – a part she played on the long-running soap from 2008 until 2014 – at the beginning of 2018 when her alter-ego rocks up on her sister Whitney Carter’s doorsteps and wreaks havoc.
She said: “It’s great to be back on the set of ‘EastEnders’.
“It’s been lovely to see some old faces and meet new ones too. I can’t wait to show everyone how much Tiffany has changed.”
Not much else is known about Tiffany’s return to Albert Square but it’s believed she’s picked up some of her mother Bianca Jackson’s (Patsy Palmer) feisty traits while she’s been away as she shows up in a golden puffa jacket – similar to the grey one her mum famously wore – and looks ready to ruffle some feathers.
The flame-haired teen walked away from Walford two years ago when Bianca decided to move to Milton Keynes for a fresh start, but she made a brief return last year when she attended Whitney and Lee Carter’s (Danny-Boy Hatchard) wedding.
It’s not yet known whether Patsy will be making a comeback, but the 45-year-old actress had admitted she has no intention of heading back to the square.
She said: “I don’t know if my character will return.
“To be honest I never say never to anything, it’s a big mistake to say that but to be honest I’m nearly 45 and I don’t really want to.
“There is so much you don’t do when you’re in Elstree Studios for 20 years and you can never go in for just one episode.
“Last time I went back I was there for seven years. You know how quick time goes and you have a lot of friends there. It’s hard to step out of it.”
Maisie’s return is part of a huge shake-up by John Yorke – who was asked to reprise his role as Executive Producer after Sean O’Connor quit following a flop in ratings earlier this year – which will also see the comeback of Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite) and Masood Ahmed (Nitin Ganatra).

Amir Khan ‘highest-paid I’m A Celebrity star’

OHMYGOSSIP — Amir Khan is said to have overtaken Katie Price as the highest-paid ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ star.
Show bosses reportedly splashed out nearly £400,000 to get the professional boxer onto the ITV programme, and were effectively repaid somewhat when he hit the headlines after he quit the first Bushtucker Trial because he was so scared of a snake.
A TV source said: “Amir was a great get, but he came at a hefty cost. He’s going to be the best paid celeb they’ve ever had.”
Despite “often highly exaggerated” claims about how much the stars of the series earn, they are said to be on between £250,000 and £25,000, but Amir came at a premium.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: “There have been rumours of huge sums being paid to the celebrities but they’re often highly exaggerated.
“Katie Price got somewhere close, but Amir’s is slightly higher again.
“He’s a huge name in sport and current after his recent marriage problems.
“He has plenty to gain in improving his public image – but he also wasn’t doing it for peanuts. ITV have dug deep.”
Earlier this year, Amir was involved in a public feud with his wife Faryal Makhdoom when he accused her of having an affair with fellow boxer Anthony Joshua.
The former light-welterweight world champion later reconciled with Faryal – with whom he has three-year-old daughter Lamaisah and is expecting another child – and admitted he had “embarrassed” himself.
He said: “I did a lot of silly things. When I accused my wife of messaging Joshua, it was all just nonsense from the start. I lived my life on social media. I assumed things which were wrong and I really embarrassed myself.
“I’d just had my hand operation and wasn’t fighting as much, so I was frustrated about not being in the boxing ring and not being able to train. I think that made me hot-headed.”
Katie, 39, was previously said to have been paid around £400,000 to return to ‘I’m A Celebrity’ in 2009 – five years after she met ex-husband Peter Andre on the show.

Tom Baker makes screen return as Doctor Who in Shada

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Baker returns as the Fourth Doctor for the first time on screen for 36 years in the finally completed ‘lost’ ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Shada’.
The 83-year-old actor left the TARDIS in 1981 after seven years portraying the Time Lord in the BBC One sci-fi show, the longest run of any actor in the role.
Tom did make an appearance in as the mysterious curator character in the 50th anniversary special ‘The Day of the Doctor’, which was broadcast in November 2013 but he has once again donned his famous oversized striped scarf for one last outing as the Gallifreyan runaway.
‘Shada’ – written by Douglas Adams – was set to be the celebratory end to the 17th series of ‘Doctor Who’ but was left incomplete due to strike action at the BBC in 1979.
Producer Charles Norton was tasked by BBC Worldwide with the job of finally completing the serial and got Tom to appear in a newly shot final scene which takes place in his original TARDIS from 1979 – which was sourced from the now-closed ‘Doctor Who Experience’.
In the scene, Tom appears from underneath the TARDIS controls to utter the lines from the original script on screen for the first time, saying: “I expect that sometime in the future – in about 200 years’ time – someone will meet me and say, ‘Is that really the Doctor? He seemed such a nice old man.’ ”
Charles brought together all of the surviving original cast, including Daniel Hill as scientist Chris Parsons and Christopher Neame as villain Skagra, to record the necessary dialogue for his animated scenes that were required to complete the adventure and Tom admits he was thrilled to get the chance to be the Doctor again and finally finish ‘Shada’ for the fans and as a tribute to Douglas, who passed away in May 2001 at the age of just 49.
Tom said: “It was a matter of regret that I couldn’t finish it, I regretted it very much. There were other aspects. This was because we loved Douglas. Douglas was a very, very, lovable fellow … When I was doing ‘Doctor Who’ it was the realisation of all my childhood fantasies, so I took to it like a duck to water, as they say. And I still do.”
Revealing why he jumped at the chance to appear on screen as the Doctor once more, the acting legend added: “I love doing ‘Doctor Who’ because it was life to me. It’s an amazing thing to be in … It probably has never left me, and that’s why I can’t stay away from it. It was a lovely time of my life.”
‘Shada’ is set in Cambridge and showed the Doctor, his robot dog K9 and his companion Romana team up with retired Time Lord Professor Chronotis to defeat the evil alien Skagra who is attempting to steal the secrets to the prison planet Shada.
Charles and his team – who were behind the hugely successful and critically acclaimed animation of lost ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘The Power of the Daleks’ and lost ‘Dad’s Army’ episode ‘A Stripe For Frazer’ – were granted access to nearly seven hours of raw footage from the original 1979 ‘Shada’ shoot and they edited the new production from scratch with all the original film negatives re-scanned in full HD and digitally remastered.
‘Shada’ is released as a digital download via iTunes on Friday November 24, and then is available on DVD and Blu-ray from Monday, December 4.
