Davina McCall’s marriage split

OHMYGOSSIP — Davina McCall and her husband have split up.
On Saturday (25.11.17), the 50-year-old TV presenter confirmed to The Sun on Sunday newspaper that she and her spouse Matthew Robertson, 48 – who have three children, Holly, 15, Tilly 13, and 10-year-old son Chester, together – are ending their 17-year marriage.
The news came just one day after Davina shared an inspirational quote on Instagram and admitted to having made “mistakes” in her life.
The quote read: “Every morning we get a chance to be different. A chance to change. A chance to be better. Your past is your past. Leave it there. Get on with the future part.”
And Davina added: “I really know about this one. I have made so many mistakes in my life. But there is always a new day.”
Meanwhile, Davina revealed earlier this year that she has turned down ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ numerous times because she didn’t think her husband would like her getting up close and personal with the hunky professionals.
She said: “I get asked to do it (‘Strictly…’) every year and I’d love to, but I couldn’t because I know how hard those contestants have to work.
“You have to rehearse all week and film all weekend, and it’s brutal on family life.
“Matthew would not like me being with all those sexy men in their tight trouser with their pert bottoms either. Not on your nelly. I’m not sure if I would like it if Matthew did it either. The show has got quite an intense track record. Every season something happens with someone. Marriage does not appear to be an obstacle.”

Mel Gibson struggled to improvise in Daddy’s Home 2

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel Gibson struggled to improvise in ‘Daddy’s Home 2’.
The 61-year-old actor – who portrays Mark Wahlberg’s on-screen father Dusty in the production – has admitted he felt “lost” and “left behind” when director Sean Anders encouraged the cast to go off script when filming the comedy film.
Speaking to New! magazine, the movie legend said: “I was lost. They left me behind. I felt like a spectator at a Beijing Ping Pong match with the flip-flapping back and forth between them that I was trying to keep up with.
“It was a job because they both have these insane, off-the-wall minds where they store these streams of consciousness.”
And Mark, 46, believes it was his off the cuff and quick exchanges with co-star Will Ferrell that intimidated Mel and caused him to doubt his own acting ability.
The ‘The Fighter’ hunk said: “Will and I, we’ll shoot what’s on the page and then start improvising and we start going absolutely crazy and Mel was a little taken by that, like, ‘Oh my God, what is happening here, are they expecting me to do this?'”
But the ‘Hacksaw Ridge’ star soon got the hang of the witty entendre, and ended up having “more fun” than anyone else on set because of the freedom to stray away from the script in a “safe environment”.
Mark continued: “As soon as he realised what the gag was, he’d jump right in and I think he had more fun than everybody. It was just one of those things where we just kind of go for it and it’s a safe environment to go crazy and risk looking ridiculous and know that you’ll be taken care of.”

Battle of the Sexes sound team go all out to replicate sound effects from 1970s tennis match

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Battle of the Sexes’ creative team went all out to replicate sound effects from the 1970s tennis match in the movie.
The biopic, which is based on the 1973 sporting event between Billie Jean King (Emma Stone) and Bobby Riggs (Steve Carrell), saw sound designer, editor and mixer Ai-Ling Lee purchase the old-fashioned wooden and aluminium tennis rackets with “gut material”, which were used during the seventies, and record tennis hits made from the sporting equipment to ensure the competitive scenes were re-created as accurately as possible.
Speaking about the lengths she went to to ensure the production was as close to the iconic tournament as possible, Lee said: “I bought wood and aluminum rackets on eBay, almost like the ones used in the film, and recorded tennis hits with them. The old rackets are heavier compared to the graphite rackets nowadays, and the wood has a certain resonance. Even the strings in the rackets, I got them with gut material, which is closer to what they used back then.
“All these details contribute to slightly different-sounding tennis hits than the contemporary ones.
“And I varied the tennis hits with slices and lobs so you hear the soft and hard hits that are part of the strategy in the game.”
And the creative mastermind – who was nominated for the Best Sound and Academy Award for Best Sound Mixing for ‘La La Land’ at the 89th Academy Awards – decided to make Steve’s footsteps “heavier” as he grew “more tired” during the competition.
She added: “I also made Bobby Riggs’ feet stomp heavier as he got more tired.”
Lee has revealed she and fellow members on the sound team of the Fox Searchlight movie, Mildred Iatrou Morgan, Ron Bartlett and Doug Hemphill, found the ABC broadcast of the tournament , which they tuned into , to learn more about the noises made during the game.
And Lee told The Hollywood Reporter magazine that after extensive research they noticed female viewers cheered for King, while the majority of men supported Riggs.

Jaden Smith is making a film based on his new album

OHMYGOSSIP — Jaden Smith is making a film based on his new album.
The 19-year-old actor – who is the son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith – recently released his debut album ‘SYRE’, and the star has admitted his efforts will not stop there as he is currently directing a movie based on the compilation, which will explore a boy’s journey to manhood.
Speaking to Billboard about the coming of age film, the ‘Fallen’ hitmaker said: “It’s an actual film that plays out that has characters. There’s no rapping, really, in the whole movie. It’s just about the story of Syre.
“It’s really just become a legacy of this guy, this kid, who chases the sunset. And then one day, it chases him back and he can’t get away.”
However, ‘The Karate Kid’ star has yet confirmed whether he has cast any actors or actresses in the production yet, although it has been rumoured Jaden will take on the lead role as the story is based on him and his struggles.
He said: “It really is the story of me coming to be a young adult, and it wasn’t easy at all.”
Jaden has revealed the one person he aspires to be like is the South African billionaire Elon Musk, because he wants to be a person who simply wants to help in “any way [he] can”.
Speaking about his inspiration, he said: “[I want to be seen as] a person that is trying their hardest to be like Elon Musk – somebody that’s trying to be an artist, and somebody that’s trying to help in any way I can.
“When people think of me, I want them to think of the person that is always giving back to something, or someone.”
Despite Jaden’s famous parents, he still takes his celebrity status seriously and knows the entertainment business is “not a game”.
He added: “[I] don’t take this lightly, this is not a game.”

Gwendoline Christie achieved childhood ambition

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwendoline Christie has wanted to be in ‘Star Wars’ since she was six years old.
The 39-year-old actress felt “unbelievable joy” when she was cast as Captain Phasma in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ because she’d dreamed of being a part of the sci-fi universe after being captivated by the late Carrie Fisher’s Princess Leia in the original movies when she was a child.
She said: “I can remember the precise moment I was cast as Captain Phasma in ‘Star Wars’. It was an explosion of unbelievable joy.
“For a long time, I had campaigned to be in the franchise to anyone who would listen,
“It was an ambition motivated by one of my earliest memories, of when, aged six, I was placed in front of the flamboyant space opera.
“I marvelled at this fantasy world in a way I couldm’t yet articulate, with its misfits and droids and a woman who fought the enemy with intelligence, who was funny and refused to be shackled – the inimitable Princess Leia.
“I recall thinking even then, ‘She isn’t like all the other women on TV. She won’t be told what to do.’ ”
And Gwendoline felt “truly electrified” when she saw her costume for the first time because it hadn’t been made sexy just because of her gender.
She said: “When I was taken to the top-secret wardrobe department to see my Captain Phasma costume – a shiny, full-body suit of armour – I was truly electrified.
“Kathleen Kennedy, president of LucasFilm, had asked me if I’d ever Googled ‘female superheroes’ and proceeded to show me the results; a plethora of scantily clad, cartoon-like women and not a whole lot else.
“The concept of a female character in a huge film like ‘Star Wars’, whose flesh we are denied from the outset, felt fresh and exciting.
“A suit of genderless armour for a female character shouldn’t have felt new, but it did.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Malin Andersson’s mother has died.
The ‘Love Island’ star took to Instagram on Saturday (25.11.17) to reveal that her beloved mother had passed away after being diagnosed with cancer for the third time.
She shared an old photograph of them together and wrote: “2am last night Heaven took you.. You didn’t deserve the pain you were in, cancer 3 times.. It wasn’t fair on you. I watched you take your final breath… I stayed with you right until the very end and you looked so peaceful. You’re with Dad now.. just know I love you unconditionally. RIP (sic).”
Malin, 25, previously revealed that her mother had battled breast cancer twice before it returned and spread this year.
In November she explained that her mother had just weeks to live and earlier this week, she prayed for her to find peace.
She wrote on Instagram: “Just watching her die piece by piece daily is the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced, especially by starvation. My heart will never be the same. She couldn’t see me properly for the first time today. Lord Jesus please take her now she’s suffering. She was never mine to keep (sic).”
Tragically, Malin’s father previously died after fighting skin cancer.
After her fans sent messages of support via social media, Malin wrote: “I have so many msgs through on insta to go through. Thankyou beautiful souls. It is powerful to read your kind words. Love and light (sic).”

Steps to appear on ‘SM: TV’ revival show next year

OHMYGOSSIP — Steps have teased they will appear on ‘SM: TV’ revival show next year.
The much-loved Saturday morning British children’s television programme, which was helmed by Cat Deeley, Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, is set to make a comeback to mark their 20th anniversary in 2018 after it was first broadcasted in August 1998.
And the ‘Stomp’ hitmaker’s have revealed they have been invited back on the music show, which last aired in 2003, and “have to” return to the channel because they think they were on the programme “more” than any other band.
Speaking to the Daily Star Online, Ian ‘H’ Watkins – who often co-presented ‘SM:TV’ – said: “We have to do ‘SM:TV’, they asked us. We were probably on that show more than any other band so it makes sense.”
And the iconic 90s group are desperate for certain games to return when the show is brought back for a one-off special.
Claire Richards said: “I hope they bring back Cat The Dog, Wonky Donkey, all that stuff.”
And the 40-year-old has admitted she holds fond memories of her time on the show.
She said: “I remember we were on ‘SM:TV’ the morning after the BRITs, the one year they had it on a Friday.
“I got to bed at six o’ clock in the morning and went on suffering wearing ‘Deeper Shade Of Blue’ shoulder pads.”
And fellow band members hope other artists such as Aqua and the Spice Girls will also feature on the forthcoming extravaganza.
Lisa Scott-Lee, 42, said: “Aqua are back, one of the first things we went to was the Barbie Girl launch and being drunk on wine.”
And lead singer Faye Tozer said: “We went to Billie Piper’s 16th birthday party and that was the day I got my dreads done. I walked in and everybody went, ‘What the f***!’ Or the Spice Girls being outside the make-up room and Victoria saying, ‘Oi are you Steps?’ They were fun times.”

Susan Calman to take dance classes with wife

OHMYGOSSIP — Susan Calman is planning to take dance classes with her wife.
The 43-year-old comic is having a great time on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ with her professional partner Kevin Clifton and not only will she keep dancing when the show’s over on the programme’s accompanying UK tour, she’s also going to have lessons with her spouse Lee so they can share her new hobby together.
She said: “I’m doing the tour, which will be wonderful. I don’t know beyond then – I can only dance when Kevin’s teaching me, he’s a magician.
“But Lee’s asked if we can do dancing classes together, so we’ll be doing that.”
Though Susan and Kevin get on very well, they’ve had very little time to socialise together outside of rehearsals but she and Lee are looking forward to going to stay with the dancer and his wife, fellow professional Karen Clifton, after the show ends.
She said: “The thing is, I’m exhausted – sometimes I’ve been in bed by half seven.
“But I’ve invited them to stay with us between Christmas and New Year.
“And I’m going to Grimsby with Kevin to dance at his parents’ dance academy’s Christmas do.”
And the quartet think the infamous ‘Strictly’ curse’ is hilarious.
Susan told heat magazine: “[Lee and I] have been together for 14 years and she’s the only one for me.
“So, we find it funny to be sat on the sofa with Kevin sandwiched between us thinking about the ‘Strictly’ curse, rather than worrying it might actually strike.”
The ‘News Quiz’ panellist found the biggest “shock” in competing on the show was having to change in front of other people, but she’s more than grown used to it now.
She laughed: “At the beginning, it was a shock. I’ve always avoided communal dressing rooms.
“But now I strip off at a moment’s notice if someone tells me to.”

Matt Linnen and Kevin Davy White have made a ‘pact’

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Linnen and Kevin Davy White have made a “pact” one of them has to make it to the final of ‘The X Factor’.
The 28-year-old singer and the budding French artist – who are both in Nicole Scherzinger’s Over’s category – have both agreed “at least” one of them has make it through to the big finale on December 2, although they “don’t care” who it is.
Speaking about their agreement to The Sun Online, Matt said: “We’ve made a pact that at least one of us has to get to that final and we don’t care which one it is. Obviously I want to be there but equally I’d love Kevin to be there … well I’d give myself a bit extra” .
Although Matt is desperate to make it to the end, and even be crowned champion of this year’s series, he is “not sure” whether he will get that far.
He added: “It’d be great to be there together but I’m not sure that’s going to happen.”
Matt has admitted he has struck up a great rapport with the 29-year-old singer, songwriter and guitarist on the show, and despite competing against one another, they are in fact “best buds”.
He said: “[Kevin] is probably my best bud in the house and on the show.
“Sometimes you just click with certain people in life. I think we’re similar in terms of musicians we want to be and musicians we are.
“I don’t think there’s anyone out there who wouldn’t like Kevin. He hasn’t got a bad bone in his body and he’s such a nice bloke.”
But Matt is not the only one who is a fan of Kevin, as the contestant has admitted his children are also huge Kevin supporters.
Matt explained: “When I speak to them, they’re like ‘Is Kevin there? Is Kevin there?’ He’s been speaking to them loads and stuff.
“Initially, I didn’t want to get my kids involved with the whole ‘X Factor’ thing but they’ve been getting behind it and they really want to get involved.”

Tamzin Outhwaite found it ‘weird’ returning to EastEnders

OHMYGOSSIP — Tamzin Outhwaite found it “very weird” returning to ‘EastEnders’.
The 46-year-old actress – who has Florence, nine, and Marnie, five, with her ex-husband Tom Ellis – is reprising her role as feisty Mel Owen following 15 years away from Walford, and she’s “excited” to be back, though it has all felt surreal.
She said: “I’m really excited. It’s like one big family. Plus I get to come home to my children every night.
“It was very weird [being back o set]. Lots has changed but it also felt very familiar. It felt exciting again.”
Tamzin insisted she never thought about returning to Albert Square but admitted somewhere in the back of her mind, she always expected to make a comeback.
Asked if she ever thought she’d be back on the show, she said: “I didn’t think about it. Others did. In the back of my mind I probably thought so but I wasn’t sure.”
Tamzin is thankful to have lots of help with her daughters but does her best to arrange her schedule to get lengthy periods of time off with them.
She told HELLO! magazine: “I have lots of support and childcare help.
“My children love the people who look after them, which is vital. They see them more as friends. There are always periods of time in this industry where you do get longer off, meaning you get more intense quality time together. I will always try my best to be around for the summer holidays.”
The actress recently admitted it was her kids who persuaded her to return to ‘EastEnders’.
She said: “When I ask my kids’ advice – my eldest especially – I say: ‘I have got this job and I don’t know if I should do it?’ Her words are always: ‘Can you come home at night?’
“She basically doesn’t really ask what it’s about and if I can come home at night then she says: ‘I think you should do it.’ I was doing a lot of theatre before.”

Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo allowed concealer contraband in I’m A Celeb jungle

OHMYGOSSIP — Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo has been allowed to take contraband into ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ because of a skin condition.
The 22-year-old reality star sparked a Twitter storm after viewers noticed the ‘Made in Chelsea’ star appeared to be wearing foundation on this year’s ITV programme.
But it has been reported the television personality has been permitted to take in a concealer on medical grounds.
A source told The Sun Online: “Georgia has always had problems with her skin.
“She’s been allowed access to concealer on medical grounds.”
And it is believed the skincare treatment she usually applies to her face would be ineffective in the Australian outback because it is “sun sensitive”, which is why she has been allowed the cosmetic item instead.
The insider added: “But her treatment is sun sensitive so she’s unable to use it in the jungle.
However, Toff’s personal possession is believed to have “annoyed” her fellow female competitors, who include Rebekah Vardy,’Coronation Street’ actress Jenny McAlpine and The Saturdays band member Vanessa White, who are “jealous” of her having the item.
The source said: “It’s annoyed other female camp mates who are jealous.”
And Toff’s contraband will no doubt bring out the green eyed monster in her camp mates over the coming days as a mosquito invasion is imminent and will leave the contestants with raised bumps if they’re bitten.
Executive producer Oliver Nash previously said: “Celebs will get bitten to shreds as it’s so humid. It’s going to drive them nuts.”
But it’s not just mosquitoes that will wreak havoc for the stars as medic Bob McCarron is certain that he’ll have to remove at least three ticks from their flesh at some point.
Bob explained: “A minimum of three of them will have ticks. It will happen.
“They are my biggest problem. They are OK if you get them off within 12 hours but, any long, you get general malaise and headaches.”

Rebekah Vardy threatens to boycott Bushtucker Trials

OHMYGOSSIP — Rebekah Vardy has threatened to boycott future Bushtucker Trials after the ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’ campmates were split into two.
The 35-year-old wife of English soccer star Jamie Vardy has been left fuming at the decision by the show’s bosses to divide the camp into two teams – Snake Rock and Croc Creek – and now, Rebekah has even threatened to boycott the trials.
She made the threat after learning that Croc Creek were actually competing to win care packages – which included letters and photos from home – for their so-called rivals.
Rebekah said: “Imagine having to win stars for them to eat. I ain’t doing it.”
Later, she said while in the Bush Telegraph: “I really find it hard to cover up the fact that I’m p***ed off. I wouldn’t go into a rant about it but I think you can just look at my face and you can see that I’m fuming.”
However, Rebekah’s campmate Vanessa White was more sympathetic towards the other team.
She explained: “I do feel like the other camp will be feeling really sorry for us and feeling bad about that.”
But Rebekah remained sceptical, asking Vanessa: “Do you reckon?”
She subsequently added: “They didn’t refuse a cake, did they?”
At that point, Kezia Dugdale joined the conversation in an effort to downplay the significance of the other camp’s earlier decision.
The Scottish politician said: “It was a cake. At the end of the day it was just a cake.
“It would have just raised everybody’s sugar levels then they’d have crashed back down and they’d have been miserable for a couple of hours, so I don’t think it’s a massive strategic loss by the camp.”
‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’ continues daily at 9pm on ITV.

James Franco: The Disaster Artist was autobiographical

OHMYGOSSIP — James Franco has revealed filming ‘The Disaster Artist’ felt “autobiographical” to him.
The 39-year-old actor stars in and directs the dramatisation of the making of Tommy Wiseau’s ‘The Room’ in which he plays Tommy as he portrays Johnny in the 2003 cult film.
Franco admits as the filmmaking process progressed it started to feel as though he was making a movie about himself.
Speaking to The Guardian newspaper, Franco said: “The whole thing did start to feel really autobiographical. One of the other lessons I learned from the movie is I’m a bit like Tommy. He thought he was making this big dramatic movie and it turned out to be a comedy.
“I think there’s a bit of that in me.”
‘The Disaster Artist’ has an all-star cast including Seth Rogen, a regular star in Franco movies, Bryan Cranston, Zac Efron, Nathan Fielder, Ari Graynor, Josh Hutcherson, Paul Scheer, Sharon Stone, Hannibal Buress and Dave Franco.
The film follows the making of ‘The Room’ – directed by and starring Wiseau – which has been dubbed the worst movie ever made but the movie itself has gained a cult following.
Franco admitted he was drawn to the story because of the “insane characters and comedy” as well as the “artistic process”.
He said: “When I came across this story, I knew it had everything that I’m interested in examining with the artistic process, but also these insane characters and comedy that would allow it to go into a more commercial space.
“So the smart part of my brain said, ‘OK, get Seth to produce this.’ He knows how to work with a studio and still make very personal movies; the kind of movies he wants to make. He really pushed me to be more responsible, to slow down, to focus on one thing at a time. And that was a really big lesson to me.”

Andy Serkis was wary of being too human in Planet of the Apes

OHMYGOSSIP — Andy Serkis was wary of making his ‘Planet of the Apes’ alter ego Caesar “too human-like”.
The 53-year-old actor provided his exceptional motion capture skills for the intelligent chimpanzee in the trilogy of rebooted movies based on the popular sci-fi film franchise which began with 1968’s Charlton Heston-led film that was based on French author Pierre Boulle’s 1963 novel ‘La Planète des Singes’.
The movies ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ and ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ were directed by Matt Reeves and Serkis has revealed he and the filmmaker were constantly refining the script for the final film ensuring that Caesar still very much identified as an ape despite his intelligence, speech and evolution.
Speaking to Den of Geek, Serkis said: “Linguistically we always had to make sure it didn’t tip over the edge and become too casual.
“He [Caesar] had to speak faster and be more eloquent, in a more reflective and philosophical way, but Matt and I were always refining the script to ensure it didn’t sound too human-like. At times on the page it just fell off the tightrope and sounded like a guy having a conversation so we had to work hard on that.”
Serkis, 53, kick-started his motion capture career by portraying Gollum in Peter Jackson’s ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy and has since gone on to create The Imaginarium Studios production company with producer Jonathan Cavendish which specialises in Performance Capture technology.
The British actor insists there is no difference between portraying a character via the use of CGI to doing it in person in front of the cameras.
He said: “Performance capture is no different to any kind of acting. It’s not a special type of acting. The performance you see in the camera on the day is what you get but translated into the physiognomy of the character. What Matt does with the performance is, say he’s shooting a scene with me and Woody Harrelson, he lives for months with my face in the edit, cutting the drama between me and Woody until seven or eight months down the line that he’ll get visual effects shots.
“That’s when he’ll put Caesar next to my performance and say, ‘Andy is feeling rage and vulnerability and isn’t sure what he’s going to do, but I only see rage in Caesar so let’s refine it.’
“Every single shot become closer through a process of iteration, sometimes a 120 versions of the same shot.”

Jada Pinkett Smith was glad to wet herself in Girls Trip

OHMYGOSSIP — Jada Pinkett Smith was convinced to star in comedy film ‘Girls Trip’ when she saw in the script there was a scene which required her to wet herself.
The 46-year-old actress stars as Lisa Cooper in Malcolm D. Lee’s comedy movie which sees her team up with Regina Hall, Queen Latifah and Tiffany Haddish as their characters go on a road trip to New Orleans for the annual Essence Festival and the journey is punctuated with madcap incidents as the women rekindle their friendship.
In one hilarious scene, Jada’s alter ego is seen in trying to swing between nightclubs when nature calls resulting in her wetting her shorts and urinating over the crowd below her at the same time.
And it was that type of gross out humour which made the screen beauty realise the movie was one she wanted to make.
Speaking to The Guardian newspaper, Smith said: “People always ask me that. That was actually one of the moments that made me think, ‘Oh wow, this is going to be a lot of fun.’ It’s completely unexpected and completely outrageous. And, you know, it’s a movie. I didn’t do it in real life. Although, well, that’s a whole other story.”
Jada – who is married to Hollywood superstar Will Smith – admits she is on the lookout for more comedic roles because she had such a good time making movies like ‘Girls Trip’, ‘Bad Moms’ and ‘Magic Mike XXL’.
She said: “In these times I think it’s important that people laugh. It’s something that I’ve been wanting to get back into, and I really enjoy it. People need laughter. It’s such a beautiful elixir. With laughter, when you open people up that way, you can always slip in some beautiful heart, and a message. You see some of the great sages do it, using humour as a path to enlightenment.”

Simon Pegg finds it Impossible to resist Cruise’s cakes

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Pegg has joked Tom Cruise is a “sadist” on the set of ‘Mission: Impossible 6’ because he constantly brings cakes and biscuits onto the set when he knows everyone needs to stay in shape.
The 47-year-old British actor stars as Benji Dunn in the action spy franchise alongside Cruise – who stars as Impossible Missions Force (IMF) agent Ethan Hunt – and the two are currently shooting the newest installment.
Pegg says Cruise is a “great guy to work for” but his penchant for constantly bringing sweet treats to work for the cast and crew makes him suspicious of his motives because everyone has to be in top physical condition for the stunts.
Speaking on ‘Jamie And Jimmy’s Friday Night’, Pegg said: “‘Mission: Impossible’ is always fun because it’s like getting on a ride – you know, because it’s a Tom Cruise movie. I’ve never been in better shape my whole life since I’ve been doing these movies because I train a lot and I eat right. He’s a great guy to work for but he’s a little bit of a sadist. He will always buy you cakes and biscuits. I think he’s testing me. He likes torturing me with cake.”
Christopher McQuarrie is producing alongside Tom, Frederick Schmidt, Don Granger, J.J. Abrams and David Ellison and Dana Goldberg from Skydance Productions.
However, Jeremy Renner will not be reprising his role as IMF Field Operations Director William Brandt due to a scheduling clash with ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, in which he will be playing Hawkeye again.
Big screen Superman Henry Cavill has also been added to the star-studded cast for ‘Mission: Impossible 6’.
Angela Bassett – known for her role as Tina Turner in the biopic ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It’ – has reportedly jumped on board the project.
It’s not yet known who the brunette beauty will play but Cruise will be back as the globe-trotting secret agent who always finds himself in tricky situations
Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Alec Baldwin and Sean Harris are all returning for the next instalment of the franchise.
The film is scheduled for release in July 2018.
