Hugh Jackman doesn’t want to be humiliated on screen

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Jackman works hard in the gym because he doesn’t want to humiliate himself on screen.
The 49-year-old actor is well known for putting his chiselled physique on display in hit movies like ‘Logan’, and Hugh has admitted fear drives his desire to remain in good shape.
He shared: “People always say to me, ‘Why are you in such good shape?’ and I always answer, ‘If I told you that you were going to be on film on a 40-foot screen with your shirt off, you’d be in good shape too.'”
Hugh previously starred as the Marvel character Wolverine in nine films, but he’s admitted to preferring how he played the role in his most recent, and last, effort in ‘Logan’.
He told Variety magazine: “I wish I’d started playing him like that 17 years ago.
“So there’s some sense of missed opportunity, but when I saw ‘Logan’, I sat there and I did have tears in my eyes. The main feeling I had was: ‘There, that’s the character. I feel like I’ve done it now.’ And I was calm and at peace, but I’m going to miss that guy.”
Meanwhile, Hugh also conceded that the life-changing opportunity to play the part of Wolverine only came about by chance.
The award-winning star actually auditioned for the role nine months prior to getting it and had been rejected.
But recalling a chance visit to Hollywood, Hugh – who has two adopted children, Oscar and Ava, with his wife, Deborra-lee Furness – explained: “I was only in LA to do the paperwork for the adoption of my son.
“I had an agent at the time, and I gave him a ring and said, ‘I’m in town for a week. Is there anything I can read for?’ He said, ‘I’m hearing some whispers about [‘X-Men’] – let me make a few calls.'”

Mary Elizabeth Winstead joints The Parts You Lose

OHMYGOSSIP — Mary Elizabeth Winstead has joined ‘The Parts You Lose’.
The 33-year-old actress will star opposite Aaron Paul and Danny Murphy in the thriller movie which will be directed by Christopher Cantwell from a script by Darren Lemke.
According to Deadline, production of the forthcoming film began in Canada this week.
The movie tells the story of the unlikely friendship formed between a criminal on the run and a deaf boy, Wesley, who meet up in a barn on the family’s farm.
Winstead will take on the part of Gail, Wesley’s mother.
Paul will co-produce the project with Tom Williams and Mark Johnson.
Winstead recently wrapped on forthcoming film ‘All About Nina’ and last year she starred in horror movie ’10 Cloverfield Lane’ opposite John Goodman, whose character Howard Stambler holds her alter-ego Michelle captive in an underground bunker.
She later admitted it was “surreal” seeing Goodman take on a “creepy” role.
The ‘Final Destination 3’ star said: “He’s everything that you hoped he would be, as someone who grew up watching him in so many things. He is that lovable John Goodman that we all know.
“A legend, but in this role he gets to be somebody else entirely. So it was a bit surreal, getting to watch this actor, that I love so dearly, be intimidating and creepy. But he does it so well.”
Winstead has also starred in the likes of ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’, ‘The Thing’ and the fourth and fifth ‘Die Hard’ movies, ‘Live Free or Die Hard’ and ‘A Good Day to Die Hard’, in which she played Lucy Gennero-McClane, Bruce Willis’ main character John McClane’s estranged daughter.

Jonny Mitchell is dating a Victoria’s Secret model

OHMYGOSSIP — Jonny Mitchell is rumoured to be dating a Victoria’s Secret model.
The ‘Love Island’ lothario recently split from ex-girlfriend Stephanie Pratt, but he’s wasted no time moving on as he has been “secretly messaging” a catwalk star, who has yet to be named, and the pair have even planned in a romantic meet up for this weekend.
Speaking about Jonny’s love life to OK! Online, a source said: “Jonny has been secretly messaging a Victoria’s Secret model. She actually reached out to him just before he started dating Stephanie Pratt but he was already developing feelings for Stephanie so didn’t want to complicate things by going on any dates with her.
“However, since he and Stephanie split he then got back in touch with the model and they’ve been planning a date for this weekend.”
But Jonny and the mystery female are believed to be keeping their romance quiet and away from prying eyes until they become “more serious”.
The insider continued: “The Victoria’s Secret model has a few seriously famous exes so until Jonny and her become more serious they’re going to keep the relationship on the down low.”
Although it is still early days, it is rumoured Jonny’s relationship with the model is “going well”, although his lover’s busy schedule is taking its toll on them both.
The source added: “Things are going well between them at the moment but they’re just getting to know each other and are messaging whenever they can. Her schedule takes her around the world and she’s based in the USA so time zones have been hard for them.”
Although the ‘The Hills’ alumni felt heartbroken when she discovered Jonny had been cheating on her, she is now “absolutely fine” after the break up and is used to having her fair share of cheating beaus.
She tweeted: “I am absolutely fine I’ve had my fair of cheaters but hearing all of that come out today 3 days after the episode w the police was much more traumatic- BUT I’ll be at the gym tomorrow am working on that breakup-bod #StrongWoman xx (sic).”

Joe McFadden sustains Strictly injury every week

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe McFadden has sustained injuries every single week of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The ‘Holby City’ star will take to the dance floor this weekend to perform two dances on the ballroom and latin show and he has admitted this is the first week he’s managed to get through training without hurting himself one way or another.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Wednesday (06.12.17), he said: “This is the first week where I’ve not had any injuries – touch wood – and I feel like i’m in the rhythm of it now, just in time for it to be finished. I’ve got into my stride and it feels nice to be doing two dances because you get a bit of a rest.”
Meanwhile, the 42-year-old actor has made no secret of the fact that he’d like to leave the medical drama in the future after taking part in dance show, but he devastated fans recently when he admitted he’d love to bow out in an explosive storyline that sees his alter-ego Raf Di Lucca gone for good.
He said: “‘Holby City’ has been brilliant. They gave me the time off to do Strictly but sadly everything comes to an end. I’ve not got a solid leaving date, I just think that having done this show, there’s other stuff out there and doing live entertainment, it’s where my heart is. I love doing theatre, I love musicals, and the longer you leave it the harder it gets. It’s been four years without doing any stage work and I don’t want to leave it much longer. I’m going back for a little bit but I can’t say too much else. If and when it does happen it would be nice to have the big exit, as an actor no-one wants to leave in the back of a taxi even if it means being killed off. And obviously a big stunt would be brilliant!”

Micky Flanagan had a sex dream about Mary Berry

OHMYGOSSIP — Micky Flanagan had a sex dream about Mary Berry.
The 55-year-old comedian once had a fantasy about the former ‘Great British Bake Off judge’ – who is almost 30 years older than him and has been married to Paul J.M. Hunnings for over five decades – couldn’t believe it when he woke up one day and realised he’d dreamt about sharing a bed with her the night before.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Wednesday (06.12.17), he said: “I did have a little fantasy about meeting her one night and waking up in the morning and thinking: ‘I’m in bed with Mary Berry.’ And she said: ‘I’m going to make you a cake.’ ”
However, Micky will no doubt be devastated to hear that the culinary queen actually has a soft spot for her former co-star Paul Hollywood and finds him “quite sexy.”
Asked if he was as “sexy as he looks”, Mary quipped whilst attending an event in London last month: “I think you should be the judge of that” … He is quite sexy, but for goodness sake don’t tell him.”
Her sweet remarks came just days after the 51-year-old silver fox claimed Mary had “abandoned” the ‘Great British Bake Off’, when she chose not to move with the show when it was snatched from the BBC by Channel 4 last year.
He said: “The girls abandoned it. But I was the one put under siege. I became the most hated man in the country! It’s not fun for someone that doesn’t like being in the limelight. I didn’t set out to be on the telly, I set out to be a good baker. And I didn’t want this. There are people who can’t get past channel one, the older generation, who don’t understand how that works. They only flick a couple of buttons and it takes three clicks to watch Channel 4.”
However, Mary – who was replaced on the popular baking show by Prue Leith – insists the revamped version of ‘The Great British Bake Off’ is “brilliant”.
She shared: “I have looked at it yes, and I have to say it’s a wonderful format. It’s a wonderful creation that programme, and it’s followed the same lines. It continues to be brilliant. I was with it seven years and I loved it but I’ve gone on to pastures new and Prue Leith – she knows her stuff – and she and Paul will continue to be brilliant judges. I have spoken to Prue, I wished her well and she said she’s thoroughly enjoying it and who wouldn’t? It’s a wonderful job.”

Lemar confirmed for Dancing on Ice

OHMYGOSSIP — Lemar has been confirmed as Monty Panesar’s replacement on ‘Dancing on Ice’
It was rumoured that the 39-year-old singer would be taking the former England cricketer’s place on the rink after he accidentally fell and snapped his ankle during training, but ITV have now confirmed the news and have revealed the ‘Time to Grow’ hitmaker will be partnered up with Melody Le Moal for the dangerous skating show.
An spokesperson for the channel said: “Owing to an injury sustained in training, Monty has had to withdraw from the competition. Lemar will take his place, and will be partnered with professional skater Melody.”
And, although he hasn’t danced with Melody before, Lemar will certainly be ready to hit the rink when the show airs on screen next month as he’s been training on the side as a replacement in case a situation like this – an injury – was to arise.
A source said: “Lemar was gutted to hear about Monty’s accident but is thrilled to have got the call up to the show. He’s been putting in plenty of hours of training.”
Monty, 35, joined the ITV reboot because he was keen to learn a new skill and was devastated when he was told by doctors that he wouldn’t be able to compete.
An insider explained: “Monty suffered a nasty fall during training and has badly injured his ankle. It’s a quite serious fracture and he’s out of the competition.
“He’s been told there’s no way he can be part of the new series, which he’s absolutely devastated about. He couldn’t wait to try a new sport and concentrate on something new in 2018 after retiring from his cricketing career.”
Lemar will join the likes of ‘Coronation Street’ stars Antony Cotton and Brooke Vincent, track and field athlete Perri Shakes-Drayton, rugby hunk Max Evans, Jake Quickenden, Love Island’s Kem Cetinay, Great British Bake Off’s Candice Brown and Bucks Fizz’s Cheryl Baker.
Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and Jason Gardiner are set to judge whilst Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will host.

Big Night Out one-off special to air over Christmas

OHMYGOSSIP — Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer’s one-off special of ‘Big Night Out’ will air over Christmas.
The popular duo announced earlier this year that they were working on a lone episode of the cult comedy series, which ran for just 15 episodes on Channel 4 from 1990 until 1991 and made them household names, and now it has been confirmed that it will air on BBC2 on December 29.
Taking to his Twitter account, Bob, 58, said: “ALL NEW VIC AND BOBS BIG NIGHT OUT
“Dec 29th 9:00pm BBC2#terrific (sic)”
The new show, which will be a “re-imagining” of the original, will feature new characters, cameo appearances, songs, skits and stunts performed in front of a live studio audience.
The pair – whose show was based on their stand-up gigs at Goldsmiths Tavern in South London – said in a statement earlier this year: “This is the show we wanted to perform back in the 1980s. Now the time is right. We will be increasing our respective heights in order to perform some of the more intricate and challenging moments.”
Shane Allen, the BBC’s controller of comedy commissioning, added: “In this special, Vic and Bob go back to their live stage show roots to mark three decades as the most pioneering, surreal and unique pairing in British comedy.
“With a mix of old and new characters, recorded in an intimate setting they give a modern spin on that rich tradition of English eccentricity that stretches back to the music hall, through Spike Milligan and The Pythons in creating characters that delight or baffle depending on who you are.”
The news that they were working on a one-off special initially came as a surprise to fans as the pair teased they were working on a “low-quality” show for the BBC that would be like “nothing” they’ve ever done before.
Vic – whose real name is Jim Moir – said at the time: “We’re writing a sketch show for the BBC, it’s going to be absolutely brand new, nothing has ever been done like this before.
“It’s done on the cheap. Really cheap. And also on the hoof. It’s about really low-quality filming and low-quality comedy.”

Jack Maynard to go back into I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! jungle next year?

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Maynard wants to go back into the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ jungle next year.
The 23-year-old YouTube sensation was given the boot from the creepy-crawly show 72 hours after he entered the famous camp after it emerged that he had propositioned a 14-year-old girl, joked about rape, used a derogatory term and posted gay slurs online when he was a teenager.
But, now that he’s apologised for his previous behaviour and cleared his name, he has admitted he’d jump at the chance to slip back into his jungle gear if he’s asked to take part next year.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Wednesday (06.12.17), he said: “I’ve definitely thought about if I’d ever go back in. When I was in the jungle, every morning I’d wake up and think: ‘How? Why am I here? How am I here? Why would anyone ever think about doing this twice?’ But now that I’m out it’s definitely something that I’d love to go and do again and kind of prove myself. I didn’t get the worst of it while I was in there, I didn’t get any tough trials.”
Jack has revealed he had deleted the disgusting tweets – in which he used the N-word and f***** during an online spat – before he went into the jungle so was shocked when he found out that someone had managed to get hold of them and publish them.
He explained: “I knew I had done some stupid things in the past on social media but I deleted them around a year before I went into the jungle but there’s always a chance. They were obviously print-screened a long time ago… I was just being young, stupid, inconsiderate. I wasn’t kind of thinking about the weight of those words, what they carried, who I could hurt. I was just retaliating in quite a horrible way. I wish I’d just taken a step back and thought about it…
“I didn’t get into too much trouble because my mum knew I was a pain when I was 16 and she knows full well that doesn’t represent me now and I’m nothing like that so she was quite upset with how it all happened and how it ended up with me being removed from the jungle. They [his family] were very supportive and helped me get through it.”
Jack’s exit came off the back of a girl claiming he had asked her to send him nude pictures when he was 16 and she was 14 – but he is adamant he didn’t know her age.

Chanelle Hayes calls the police on ex-boyfriend

OHMYGOSSIP — Chanelle Hayes has reportedly called the police on her ex-boyfriend Ryan Oates.
The former ‘Big Brother’ star was forced to get the emergency services involved this week after her former flame – who walked out on her just a few weeks ago – allegedly turned up at her home with his brother and was hurling abuse at her while their four-month-old son Frankie and Chanelle’s nine-year-old son Blakely, whom she has from a previous relationship, were inside the property with her parents.
A source told The Sun Online: “Chanelle called the police after Ryan and his brother turned up to her house unannounced.
“Frankie and Blakely were both in the house, as well as her mum and dad. Chanelle felt like she had no other option to get the police involved because he was screaming abuse at her and wouldn’t leave.
“Chanelle has been living in fear ever since, she’s terrified he’ll come back. She doesn’t want to see him again.”
Chanelle announced that Ryan had left her at the beginning of November and, although she had spent weeks begging him to come back, he has just turned “evil” towards her.
She wrote: “We’ve not split up, he has walked out on me. Nothing mutual about it. I moved an hour away from family and friends to be with him so a bit unfortunate.
“When Ryan drops your child off and you basically beg him to sort your family out but he tells you his family and friends have told him he should have left me even sooner than he did! What a lovely bunch of people. I’ve met some mean people in my time but never actually thought someone was evil until just lately. (sic)”
The 29-year-old beauty had been dating Ryan for 18 months after they met on Tinder – and, at the time, she couldn’t praise him enough for being the “perfect” boyfriend.
She said at the time: “We ended up getting drunk and going on a proper night out in Wakefield, it was really good. He’s brilliant with my family and Blakely adores him!”

Rebekah Vardy didn’t miss sex in I’m A Celebrity… jungle

OHMYGOSSIP — Rebekah Vardy didn’t miss her raunchy romps with her husband Jamie Vardy while she was in the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ camp – because food was the only thing on her mind.
The WAG – who married the footballer last year – has been away from the 30-year-old sportsman for almost a month but she has admitted getting frisky between the sheets was the last thing she thought about while she was taking part in the jungle show, filmed in Australia, because all she wanted was to put some grub in her mouth and cure her grumbling stomach.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: “I missed cuddles with Jamie but I didn’t think about sex once. No one had thought about it in camp. It’s weird but the hunger takes over.”
The 35-year-old beauty – who has four children; Finley, who is 10 months old, and Sofia, two, with Jamie, and Megan, 12, and son Taylor, seven, from two previous relationships – has lost over a stone in weight since entering the jungle and is planning to spend the money she’s earnt from the show on a new boob job because she wants her bosoms to have a little “lift.”
She explained: “I lost a stone. This is the weight I was before I had any kids. Jamie loves me whatever I look like, but I’m too skinny now.
“New boobs are on my Christmas list. I got them done eight years ago and I want to get them done again because I’ve breast-fed two babies since then.”
While she was on the show, Rebekah was put up for numerous tasks – including an eating challenge – and is furious that her husband has racked up a huge phone bill voting for her.
She said: “I knew they’d vote for me to do trials. Jamie said he’d make sure it happens. I’m furious as he’s warned me about the phone bill from all his voting.”
But she was ruled out of several challenges on “medical grounds” and, although she was accused of being a diva, it wad down to the fact she has a dangerous allergy to shellfish.
She explained: “I wasn’t being a diva. I’m allergic to shellfish, I get really bad reactions, so to be on the safe side I had to opt out of fish trials.”

This Morning hosts get their own toilets

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘This Morning’ hosts are the only members of the team to get their own dressing rooms – with a toilet.
Rylan Clark-Neal – who presents the showbiz segment on the brunch time show throughout the week – has revealed that Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield, Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford have their own greenroom, complete with a private bathroom, to get ready in and to hide away from the “peasants.”
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the 29-year-old presenter said: “A little trade secret – we don’t all have dressing rooms at This Morning. Unless you’re hosting the show you don’t have a dressing room.
“So Holly and Phil have got a dressing room, then on a Friday Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have them and the rest of us just fend for themselves. We have our own green room you don’t see and oh my god, it is lit. They don’t mix with us peasants. Even when I’m hosting I end up going to sit in the green room, because it’s like my little home. In the dressing rooms you have your own little toilet and that’s quite nice if you want a little wee. You don’t have to go to the ones that everyone uses.”
Although Rylan doesn’t get to have his own dressing room, he does get a lot of freebies.
He said: “I rob at work, but I’m quite an honest robber. If there’s a gadget or a candle I’m like, ‘I’m taking this, bye’ and I’ll just walk out and no one will stop me. Alison, she’s like, ‘bubs, have you seen this dress? Put it in the bag’. That is a perk of the job. We do have a rob up and nobody says anything.”

New Luther series to begin shooting in January

OHMYGOSSIP — The new series of ‘Luther’ is to begin shooting in January.
The popular BBC drama sees Idris Elba star as DCI John Luther, and writer Neil Cross has revealed that plans for the much-anticipated new series are already well underway.
He shared: “We’re in prep right now and we’re doing a bit of casting and we start shooting in January. For some reason, I always seem to shoot in the depths of winter.”
Neil and Idris are both currently toying with the idea of writing a ‘Luther’ movie.
The show has proven to be a huge hit with TV watchers and Neil has admitted he’s found it hard to walk away from the character.
Asked if he still hopes to make a ‘Luther’ film, he told Deadline: “Absolutely. The fact is that Idris and I are bound in this shared relationship with this character and every TV [season] we think it’s going to be the end, not least because Idris is a very busy and has a successful career but we always miss him when it’s over and then I start coming up with ideas and we always come back for more.
“For no other reason than we love doing it. Hopefully in some incarnation, the character will continue.”
However, Neil admitted he doesn’t specifically know how a movie version would differ from the TV series.
He reflected: “It’s always going to be slightly different because of how long you have to tell a story.
“Ultimately, whatever ‘Luther’ story you tell, in whatever medium, has to focus on that character so in some ways it will be exactly the same because it will be about him.”

Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo confirms split from James Middleton

OHMYGOSSIP — Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo’s confidence was “knocked so much” after splitting with her boyfriend just days before she appeared on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ star has confirmed she is no longer dating James Middleton after they broke up shortly before she headed to Australia for the reality show, and admitted she is hoping her stint in the jungle will give her a confidence boost.
She said: “It was great and then he … it just went wrong. Maybe I work too much? And my work is very difficult and my confidence was knocked so much, and it happened so soon before I came in here.
“Honestly, like a few days before I left. I thought, ‘I’m going to be away for so long, no phone or anything.’
“I want my confidence to come back. I want to be exactly who I was before.”
Toff discussed her break up with James while chatting to fellow ‘I’m A Celebrity’ star Vanessa White about her plans for new year.
Speaking on last night’s (05.12.17) ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’, she added: “I was meant to be going to South Africa with my ex-boyfriend but we broke up.
“I’m okay, I’ve thought about it, but I wanted to use this time to get my confidence back up.”
The 23-year-old star previously admitted her independent lifestyle makes it tough for her to date guys because she finds it “hard” to think about “another person”.
She said: “The way I am makes it difficult for guys; I do my own thing the whole time, I’m so independent. If there’s someone else in my life I often forget and carry on as normal.
“I go out every night, I go for dinner with my friends, so I find it hard to think about another person. It’s selfish, but I’m having so much fun concentrating on myself, so maybe that’s part of the problem.
“I think the problem is I really wear my heart on my sleeve, so when I like someone I tell them how it is. Maybe I’m quite young, it just seems to go wrong. I’m really attracted to an interesting person.
“It’s not all about looks. If they can sustain a good intellectual conversation, I find that very attractive.”

Vanessa White booted from I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

OHMYGOSSIP — Vanessa White has been evicted from ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’.
The Saturdays singer has become the fourth star to leave the ITV reality competition after audiences failed to vote to save her from elimination during Tuesday’s (05.12.17) episode.
Vanessa, 28, admits she wasn’t at all prepared for heading into the Australian jungle, as despite having showbiz pals who have tackled the show, it’s something that “you can’t really explain”.
Asked if the experience was what she expected, she said: “I don’t think you can ever really expect … you can never really know what to expect until you’re in there. I had friends who’ve been on [the show] before so I’d been asking them what to expect, but you just can’t really explain it.”
The ‘Relationship Goals’ singer had “the best time” whilst in the jungle, and claimed the day prior to her eviction had been “the best day” as she got to indulge in tasty treats after fellow camp mate Dennis Wise won all the stars in the Bushtucker Trial.
All the celebrities were then able to head to a special jungle themed pub named the Jungle Arms, where they were gifted with pizza and sang karaoke to one another.
Speaking about her time on the show, she said: “I had the best time. Yesterday was like my best day, I had the best time yesterday.
“It was the perfect way to end, we had a great fish and chip lunch, and then we had pizza and chips at the Jungle Arms.”
Although Vanessa will be excited to see her family once again, she will miss her fellow celebrities, and admits the group have already made plans for when the show ends.
When asked by hosts Ant and Dec who she’d miss the most, she said: “Literally everyone. We’ve already decided we’re going to have a WhatsApp group, we’ve already made arrangements to go out. You know it’s real when you’ve got a WhatsApp group.”
Vanessa then admitted she is backing former footballer Dennis or ‘Made In Chelsea’ star Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo to take home the jungle crown.

Clara Amfo replaces Reggie Yates on Top of the Pops

OHMYGOSSIP — Clara Amfo will replace Reggie Yates on the ‘Top of the Pops’ Christmas specials.
The 33-year-old Radio 1 presenter will co-host two one-hour specials of the festive music show alongside Fearne Cotton after Reggie quit for making “some ill-considered remarks”.
Clara said: “I’m so happy and honoured to be presenting ‘Top of the Pops’ alongside Fearne. It’s an iconic show that I’ve grown up with and continue to enjoy watching, especially during the festive season.
“2017 has been a rich year in pop and I can’t wait to celebrate it with the artists, Fearne and everyone at home.”
Reggie, 34, confirmed this week he will not be co-hosting the specials after he referred to music managers as the “fat Jewish guy”, which he apologised for shortly afterwards, during an interview with DJ Chuckie Lothian in an episode of a podcast titled, ‘#Halfcast Podcast: Take Back The Power’.
In a statement released via his Twitter account yesterday (05.12.17), he said: “On a recent podcast, during a discussion about grime artists, I made some ill-considered remarks which have hurt many people.
“I can see clearly that the words I used reinforced offensive stereotypes, and that there is no context which would justify such remarks.
“My comments are no reflection on how I truly feel, and I would like to apologise unreservedly to the Jewish community, people in the music industry and anyone else I have offended.
“This has been, and continues to be a huge learning experience for me, and on reflection I have taken the decision to step down from hosting Top of the Pops this year. (sic)”
On the podcast, he said: “The thing that makes it great about this new generation of [music] artists is that they ain’t signing to majors.
“They’re independent, they’re not managed by some random fat Jewish guy from north west London, they’re managed by their brethren.”
Clara hosts the Radio 1’s mid-morning show – which is home to the Live Lounge and sees some of the biggest acts from around the world to perform some of their hits or covers.
Mark Cooper, head of music television, BBC Studios said: “Clara is a great champion of all kinds of pop music and she lights up the screen with her radiance.
“She’s a joy on Radio 1, she did a great job presenting on BBC TV at Glastonbury this year and now she’s co-hosting Top of the Pops! Clara and Fearne will be a formidable duo.”
The ‘Top of the Pops’ Christmas Day (25.12.17) special is set to feature a line-up including Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, James Arthur, Clean Bandit, Rita Ora and The Script.

Lemar replaces Monty Panesar in Dancing on Ice

OHMYGOSSIP — Lemar is set to join ‘Dancing On Ice’ after Monty Panesar was forced to pull out due to a broken ankle.
The former England cricketer was due to take part in the reboot of the ITV celebrity ice skating competition, but after crashing onto the ice during training and breaking his ankle, he has been forced to end his time on the show before it even begins airing.
However, all is not lost for the producers of the show, as they have managed to recruit 39-year-old singer Lemar to take his place, who had been training as a reserve.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Monty suffered a nasty fall during training and has badly injured his ankle. It’s a quite serious fracture and he’s out of the competition.
“He’s been told there’s no way he can be part of the new series, which he’s absolutely devastated about.
“He couldn’t wait to try a new sport and concentrate on something new in 2018 after retiring from his cricketing career.
“Lemar was obviously gutted to hear about Monty’s accident but is thrilled to have got the call up to the show. He’s been putting in plenty of hours of training.”
And an ITV spokesperson has confirmed Monty’s exit from the series, though they didn’t mention his replacement.
They said: “Owing to an injury sustained in training, Monty has had to withdraw from the competition.”
Lemar will join the likes of ‘Coronation Street’ stars Antony Cotton and Brooke Vincent, track and field athlete Perri Shakes-Drayton, rugby hunk Max Evans, Jake Quickenden, Love Island’s Kem Cetinay, Great British Bake Off’s Candice Brown and Bucks Fizz’s Cheryl Baker.
Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and Jason Gardiner are set to judge whilst Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will host.
