Shirley Ballas: I’d like to marry Craig Revel Horwood

OHMYGOSSIP — Shirley Ballas says she’d “like to marry” her fellow ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge Craig Revel Horwood.
The 57-year-old legendary dancer has received mixed reviews from viewers since joining the ballroom and latin judging panel in September, but she’s enjoyed her time alongside Craig, Bruno Tonioli and Darcey Bussell and admits she has a soft spot for the 52-year-old critic, who she described as “kind and caring”.
Speaking to RadioTimes magazine, she gushed about the panel: “I’ve know Bruno for 11 years and he’s as mad as a hatter. Craig is a doll. I just love him; I’d like to marry him. He’s everything that you would want in a man: he’s kind, he’s caring, he’s thoughtful – he’s just a wonderful human being.”
As for ballet dancer Darcey, the Liverpudlian says while she comes from a wealthy background, they get on extremely well as she has a great attitude.
She said: “She’s like Snow White, she’s so beautiful. Our background are worlds apart. I come from a housing estate, the underprivileged if you like, and she comes from privilege.
“But her persona and her lovely attitude just work well with mine.
“She’s so kind I want to cuddle her all the time and give a squeeze.”
Meanwhile, Shirley revealed her elderly mother, 81-year-old Audrey Ballas, has been giving her advice for the BBC One show and told her to tone down her technical language.
She told the publication: “She said, ‘I love it that you’re giving your technical advice, but what are you talking about? Can you put it a little bit more in layman’s terms?'”

Jonny Mitchell first male heading into Celebrity Big Brother 2018?

OHMYGOSSIP — Jonny Mitchell is reportedly the first male contestant heading into the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house in 2018.
The ‘Love Island’ star recently split up with girlfriend Stephanie Pratt and bosses of the Channel 5 show are expecting him to be popular among the all-female housemates, who will have been in the famous abode a week before stars of the opposite sex join the competition.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: “Jonny is going to be a big hit on the show.
“Viewers really enjoyed watching him on ‘Love Island’ this summer – and clearly there’s still more to see from Jonny.
“Hs split from Stephanie Pratt was a major factor in Channel 5 booking him for the new series.
“He is guaranteed to bring some drama to the house and romance one of the female contestants.”
‘Made in Chelsea’ star Stephanie was left heartbroken when she discovered Jonny had been cheating on her, but is now “absolutely fine” as she is used to having her fair share of cheating beaus.
She tweeted after their break-up: “I am absolutely fine I’ve had my fair of cheaters but hearing all of that come out today 3 days after the episode w the police was much more traumatic- BUT I’ll be at the gym tomorrow am working on that breakup-bod #StrongWoman xx (sic).”
The new series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ will launch live on January 2 2018.
The forthcoming series will see an all-female cast head into the iconic house in commemoration of 100 years since women won the right to vote for the very first time,
In their previous announcement, bosses revealed the series will also include male contestants who will enter the house in the second week, giving the female stars – whose identities have not yet been revealed, but will range from politicians to performing artists – a full week to interact with one another in honour of the historical milestone.
A statement from Channel 5 said: “Presented by Emma Willis, ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ will initially explore how the all-female housemates interact, from politicians to performing artists, as they enter the house first, ahead of the celebrity male housemates. Over the course of the series, as the male counterparts enter the house, the housemates will take part in a series of entertaining tasks and hidden experiments which will test their – and our – assumptions, challenge gender stereotypes and reveal fascinating truths about what it is to be a woman – and man – in the 21st century.”

Ferne McCann worried about motherhood

OHMYGOSSIP — Ferne McCann worried she wasn’t “ready” to be a mother.
The 27-year-old former ‘TOWIE’ star welcomed daughter Sunday – her first child with jailed ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins – into the world last month and she’s been pleasantly surprised by how well she has taken to parenthood because she isn’t a “super-maternal” person.
She said: “I was really worried I wasn’t going to get that rush of unconditional love.
“I think because I haven’t always been this super-maternal person – I love kids and it was always part of the plan, but not necessarily part of 2017, it was a bit of a shock.
“So I was worried I wasn’t going to be ready for it. But actually, what has surprised me is how naturally I’ve taken to it.”
Ferne is “obsessed” with her daughter and loves being around her.
She said: “I’m so obsessed with her. Its a healthy obsession, it just feels so natural and right. I look at her and she makes me so happy. Her face really makes me giggle.”
But in the coming weeks, Ferne is looking forward to catching up with her friends away from her daughter.
She told heat magazine: “I haven’t left Sunday with anyone else yet because I’m breastfeeding. I am keen to express. I’m definitely going to plan a night out with the girls or maybe a brunch that turns into an afternoon thing for the new year, and do it as a little bit of a celebration for Sunday’s birth.”

Amir Khan leaves I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

OHMYGOSSIP — Amir Khan has been booted from ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!’.
The 31-year-old boxer has narrowly missed out on a spot in this weekend’s final of the ITV reality show, as the voting public failed to keep him in the competition after Friday’s (08.12.17) live eviction.
Amir – who had never even watched the programme before he headed off into the Australian jungle – had a “great time” whilst on the show, and insists he even managed to conquer some of his fears.
Speaking to show hosts Ant and Dec after his elimination, he said: “I had such a great time. I never expected to be this good. I’ve never seen the show, so it was a massive surprise for me when I got in there and I was like ‘Oh my God’ but you know what? My fears went. Some of them went.”
But the star admits the experience wasn’t remotely what he was expecting, and says he found the show “harder” than he thought it would be.
When asked if it was what he expected, Amir said: “No, it wasn’t. It was a lot harder. When I come face to face with animals I thought, ‘This wasn’t in the contract’! But you know what honestly, it’s a lot harder living on rice and beans for a couple of days because some days we didn’t get meals. Sleeping outside, I had that fear in me where I never wanted to be anywhere near trees because I didn’t know what might come next to me. But now, I’ll walk around trees, I’ll climb trees if I want. That fear is totally gone.”
On Thursday (07.12.17), Amir celebrated his 31st birthday inside the jungle with his camp mates, and admits that experience alone will be something he will always remember.
Speaking about his special day – which saw him gifted with a heartfelt card from his fellow camp mates, as well as a birthday cake – he said: “It was wonderful to spend it with a brilliant team in there. In a jungle, that’s something I’m always going to remember. All my life, I’m gonna say to my kids that daddy had his birthday in the jungle. How many people can say that?”
And now that he’s out of the running to be crowned King of the Jungle, Amir would like to see ‘Hollyoaks’ star Jamie Lomas take home the crown.
He said: “I’d like Jamie to win it, because he just likes to push himself. He’ll put his hand up for any trial or any challenge, he never gives up and he’s not really scared of anything. So I think someone like him.”

Miranda Richardson slams the British movie industry

OHMYGOSSIP — Miranda Richardson doesn’t think the UK has a “thriving movie industry”.
The 59-year-old actress has starred in a number of British movies and TV series, including ‘Chicken Run’ and ‘Blackadder II’ – but she has slammed the country’s entertainment business, and has claimed the reason she has moved “about a bit” in the industry is because she doesn’t think it is as successful as other places.
Speaking to The Guardian newspaper, Richardson said: “Well, everybody’s doing everything now, as we know.
“I’ve always thought of work like that. And because we don’t have a thriving movie industry here, you’ve got to move about a bit.”
Richardson currently stars in ‘Stronger’ alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, which depicts the life of American author Jeff Bauman who was lost both his legs in the Boston marathon bombing in 2013.
In the movie, which was directed by David Gordon Green, Richardson portrays Gyllenhaal’s on-screen mother Patty, who is an alcoholic.
But Richardson feared she was going overboard in her portrayal of an intoxicated parent.
She said: “I’m going to have to disappoint you, because there wasn’t much talk about it.
“We just did it, and I had to trust that it wasn’t too much.”
The Boston marathon bombing killed three people, but left hundreds of innocent people severely injured and Bauman was among 16 people to lose limbs.
The incident only happened four years ago, but Gyllenhaal insists the creative team were “very mindful” when working on the production, although the 36-year-old actor appreciates some people in the audience may think it’s too soon to tell the tragic story on the big screen.
He previously said: “We have been very mindful with this film. And if people haven’t seen it, and don’t know what the movie is about, they might think it’s too soon [to do a film like this]. But I do understand the sensitivities around it.”

Mark Hamill was surprised by Rian Johnson on Star Wars: The Last Jedi

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Hamill couldn’t believe how “amiable” Rian Johnson was while filming ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’.
The 66-year-old legend is set to reprise his role as Jedi Master Luke Skywalker in the eighth instalment in the popular sci-fi franchise but, despite originally speaking out about the disagreement he had with the filmmaker, about his choices for his iconic character, he found him to be a very “collaborative person”.
Speaking to NME magazine, he said: “You couldn’t ask for a more collaborative person.
“I thought if anyone could be an arrogant SOB it was going to be someone that’s found success that early on. I couldn’t believe how self-effacing and amiable he was.”
‘The Last Jedi’ is set directly after 2015’s ‘The Force Awakens’ and will see Hamill return as Skywalker – who briefly appeared at the end of the last film – to train mysterious Force sensitive character Rey (Daisy Ridley).
The film marks the last outing for Carrie Fisher as the iconic General Leia Organa after she tragically died last December and Hamill admitted things have been particularly tough since her death.
He said: “I’m selfishly mad that she’s not here to make me laugh. But I’m also grateful for all that she was able to give us while she was here. It has not been easy.”
Johnson also has admitted that Fisher’s performance in the movie is “very powerful”, as no-one on set was aware it was the last time they would work with the star.
He said: “She was constantly pitching one-liners. I would sit down with her for an hour and come back with like, 300 crazy wordplay puns written in my notebook. Then on set, she really gave a beautiful, complete performance.
“It’s very obvious we didn’t know this was going to be the last time we’d see Leia in these movies. That said, I find it very powerful when I see her in this film.”

Rob Marshall in line to direct The Little Mermaid

OHMYGOSSIP — Rob Marshall is currently the top choice to direct Disney’s live-action remake of ‘The Little Mermaid’.
The 57-year-old filmmaker – who helmed Academy Award winning ‘Chicago’ and recently directed ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ – looks to be taken on the next Disney live-action remake of the 1989 classic, Deadline reports.
‘The Little Mermaid’ follows Princess Ariel – a mermaid who has an obsession with the human world above sea level – who, on one of her visits to the surface, falls in love with Prince Eric after she rescued him from drowning.
Determined to be with her new love, Ariel makes a deal with the sea witch Ursula to become a human for three days but has to give up her voice for payment.
The deal turns sour when it turns out Ursula’s plan was to use the naïve princess to take control over the seas from King Triton.
The original classic featured songs including ‘Under the Sea’ – which won the Academy Award for Best Song – and ‘Part of Your World’.
The film also earned four Golden Globe nominations including Best Picture – Comedy or Musical and won the awards for Best Song and Best Score.
In the upcoming remake, ‘Hamilton’ creator Lin-Manuel Miranda – who also provided the music for Disney’s ‘Moana’ – will score new songs along with Disney regular Alan Menken.
Although it is unclear as to whether the new film will follow the same story as the original, ‘Kick-Ass’ scribe Jane Goldman is writing the script.
This project joins Disney’s ever-growing franchise of live-action reboots, which has included ‘Maleficent’, ‘Cinderella’, ‘The Jungle Book’ and most recently, the box office smash ‘Beauty and the Beast’.
Among the other remakes being lined up are ‘The Lion King’, ‘Mulan’ and ‘Dumbo’.

J.K. Rowling speaks out on casting Johnny Depp in Fantastic Beasts 2

OHMYGOSSIP — J.K. Rowling is “genuinely happy” to have Johnny Depp play a major character in ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ – despite the backlash it’s received.
The 54-year-old actor recently confirmed he was reprising his role as Gellert Grindelwald in the sequel, but some fans slammed bosses’ decision to bring him back for the next movie because of his controversial divorce from Amber Heard last year, in which she claimed he’d been abusive towards her throughout their marriage before later dropping the allegations, and begged them to re-cast the part.
However, Rowling has confirmed that producers did consider recasting the villain but decided against it once the allegations were dropped – and she agrees with them.
Taking to her website, she wrote: “When Johnny Depp was cast as Grindelwald, I thought he’d be wonderful in the role. However, around the time of filming his cameo in the first movie, stories had appeared in the press that deeply concerned me and everyone most closely involved in the franchise.
“‘Harry Potter’ fans had legitimate questions and concerns about our choice to continue with Johnny Depp in the role.
“As David Yates, long-time ‘Harry Potter’ director, has already said, we naturally considered the possibility of recasting. I understand why some have been confused and angry about why that didn’t happen.
“However, the agreements that have been put in place to protect the privacy of two people, both of whom have expressed a desire to get on with their lives, must be respected.
“Based on our understanding of the circumstances, the filmmakers and I are not only comfortable sticking with our original casting, but genuinely happy to have Johnny playing a major character in the movies.
“I accept that there will be those who are not satisfied with our choice of actor in the title role. However, conscience isn’t governable by committee. Within the fictional world and outside it, we all have to do what we believe to be the right thing.”
Following on from the end of the first film, the sequel sees the Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald escape from the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA).
Now the wizard is gathering followers to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.
In order to stop him and his plans, a young Albus Dumbledore [Jude Law] enlists the help of Magizoologist Newt Scamander [Redmayne] who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead.

Ava DuVernay set for 2018 Producers Guild’s Visionary Award

OHMYGOSSIP — Ava DuVernay is to be given the 2018 Producers Guild’s Visionary Award.
The ‘Selma’ filmmaker will pick up the accolade at the 29th Annual Producers Guild Awards, on January 20, 2018 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, and admitted she was delighted with the recognition.
She tweeted: “This is so lovely and unexpected. I love producing. Almost as much as directing. So you know that’s a lot! My thanks to @ProducersGuild for this encouraging recognition. (sic)”
DuVernay’s emergence in the movie industry was hailed as one of the “great developments of the past several years”.
Producers Guild Awards chairs Donald De Line and Amy Pascal said in a statement: “The emergence of Ava DuVernay as a producer and filmmaker has been one of the great developments of the past several years.
“Whether in scripted features, television or documentaries, her unique voice, skill and passion have inspired countless audiences throughout our country and around the world.”
The 45-year-old director will follow in the footsteps of the likes of Brad Pitt, Megan Ellison, Laura Ziskin, and Jeff Skoll in winning the accolade.
Last month, DuVernay claimed Hollywood “intentionally” chooses not to hire black actors or filmmakers.
She said: “I would say that it’s quite intentional. You’re basically saying, ‘This is what we want, and this is what we’re going to have.’ There’s no way you can tell me that there hasn’t been effort put into exclusion.”

Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Star Trek’ to be R rated

OHMYGOSSIP — Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Star Trek’ movie will be R rated.
Following reports the ‘Pulp Fiction’ director had shared his idea for the next Starship Enterprise story with J.J. Abrams and was keen to direct, Deadline claims Tarantino has already met with writers.
But the ‘Kill Bill’ filmmaker is insisting on an R rating – and Paramount and Abrams are said to have agreed to this condition.
Big budget blockbusters traditionally edit films to be no higher than a PG-13 (12A) in order to maximise their audience.
Tarantino’s films have mostly been R rated – which means at least a 15 certificate in the UK – due to their use of extreme profanity and violence.
This bold new move could see a very different tone to the banter on the bridge of the Starship Enterprise in the next instalment.
The ‘Reservoir Dogs’ director is also reported to have spent several hours discussing his plot idea with writers including Mark L. Smith, who is now thought to be the front-runner to pen the script.
He is best known for writing epic western ‘The Revenant’ which won Leonardo DiCaprio his first ever Oscar for Best Actor after years of being nominated but going home empty handed.
Also said to be in the room were ‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ writer Lindsey Beer, and ‘Iron Man 3’ scribe Drew Pearce.
Tarantino is also in the process of prepping a movie about Charles Manson, which he had begun work on before the cult leader died in November this year.

David Bradley loved being the First Doctor in Christmas special

OHMYGOSSIP — David Bradley had a “great time” starring as the original Time Lord in the ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas special.
The 75-year-old actor will portray the First Doctor – originally portrayed by William Hartnell – in the festive episode ‘Twice Upon a Time’ this year when Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth incarnation regenerates into Jodie Whittaker.
Bradley first appeared as the First Doctor brought back to life on the screen by the actor in making of ‘Doctor Who’ drama ‘An Adventure in Space and Time’ back in 2012, and admitted he loved the “erratic” character.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph newspaper, he said: “I had such a great time doing the first one and I felt I’d steeped myself in it. The fact that the original Doctor was a bit erratic made him quite appealing to me. Hartnell was a very complex man.
“They started to cast him as these bullet-headed authority figures and he felt he’d got trapped.”
New showrunner Chris Chibnall has bravely taken the decision to make Whittaker the first woman to play the time traveller.
David – who starred with Jodie on Chris’ crime drama ‘Broadchurch’ – said he was “absolutely delighted” when he heard the 35-year-old actress had bagged the iconic character.
He said: “Absolutely delighted. Jodie’s got such an emotional range.
“Anybody who’s hung out with her knows she’s just got a wicked sense of humour and she’s subversive and funny and really nice with it.
“I think she’ll be great.”
David also believes Chris is the perfect person to replace outgoing showrunner Steven Moffat because he is such a talented scriptwriter and has lots of history with the BBC sci-fi series.
‘Twice Upon a Time’ will focus on the end of the First Doctor’s era and will feature the Twelfth Time Lord having to convince the original that he has to accept his regeneration.
The hour-long special will also be last appearance of Pearl Mackie as companion Bill Potts before Jodie joins with her new TARDIS team; Bradley Walsh as Graham, Tosin Cole as Ryan and Mandip Gill as Yasmin.

Megan McKenna needs crane to deliver her jacuzzi

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan McKenna needed a crane to deliver her jacuzzi to her new house.
The 25-year-old reality star has recently moved into her “new gaff”, which is being fitted with a jetted whirlpool bath in her garden, and the luxury item was so big she needed a large lifting machine to help carry the hot tub over the roof of her property and placed into the designated area outside.
The former ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ beauty took to Instagram to document the “madness” of having the piece fitted.
Speaking in a video of her with the crane moving in the background, she said: “So I am at my new house which is very exciting. And today I’m getting a jacuzzi bought over by a crane.”
The ‘High Heeled Shoes’ hitmaker captioned the upload: “When you gotta get a crane to deliver your HOT TUB! Count down is ONNNN for my new gaff! SWIPE to see the madness (sic).”
And Megan continued to share a string of posts to capture the entire process of securing her purchase in the ground.
Speaking in another short clip, which captures the jacuzzi mid-air, she said: “Yes that is bringing my Jacuzzi over my house. What the f**k?”
This post was followed by the outdoor feature being slowly lowered into the garden, which came before she shared a video of a group of workmen fitting the product and removing the exterior packaging.
She said: “Getting in nicely.”
And Megan’s new purchase has made her pals, including Jordan Brooke very excited, and the television personality – who currently appears on the ITVBe show – to don his Speedo swimming trunks and enjoy a dip.
He commented: “Oioiiiiii
“Wooo
“@megan_mckenna_ I hope that’s not a no entry for jord ive got me speedos at the ready (sic).”

Ruth Langsford ‘thickened out’ during menopause

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Langsford has “thickened out” since going through the menopause.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter may have flashed the flesh in her skimpy crystal-embellished costumes on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ last month, but she has admitted going through the change saw pile on the pounds and shift from a size 12 to a size 14.
She told Woman and Home: “I was a size 12 my whole adult life until I had Jack – and even then I went back to a 12 after probably a year – and now I’m a 14, a proper 14.
“One week I think, ‘I’m going to do my steps and not drink’ and I might lose a couple of pounds, but then it goes back on again.
“I used to hear my mum and her friends talking about ‘thickening out.’ I never really knew what they meant; now I do! I look at myself and think, ‘I’ve got no waist any more’.”
The 57-year-old star decided to sign up to the ballroom and latin show earlier this year for the “more mature woman, possibly in the menopause”.
She said at the time: “I wouldn’t say it’s given me a new lease of life because I felt OK anyway. But I’m a woman in the menopause and had got to the stage where I was feeling very tired, very exhausted, emotional sometimes, because that’s what the menopause does to you. Before ‘Strictly…’ I decided I needed to get hormones, to go and look at this now because I was trying to deal with it.”
Meanwhile, Ruth’s husband Eamonn thinks his spouse has become a “new woman” since she left the BBC show.
He said: “Strictly’s been wonderful for Ruth. She was having a hard time from the menopause , mentally and physically. ‘Strictly’ has given her a new direction in life. It has reinvigorated her, re-energized her and reinvented her. She knows she has been blessed and been given the chance to do something extraordinary other women her age don’t get to do. She is very grateful for it and she deserves it. When I met her she didn’t believe in herself and didn’t have confidence. I think this is her moment.”

Amir Khan cut honeymoon short over snake fear

OHMYGOSSIP — Amir Khan cut his honeymoon short because he was terrified of snakes slithering over him in the night.
The 30-year-old professional boxer has been accused of faking his fear of creepy crawlies while taking part in ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’, but his wife Faryal Makhdoom is adamant his anxiety is all real and he actually refused to finish their holiday in Langkawi because he was scared of the reptiles.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Friday (08.12.17), Faryal said: “Everyone loves his screams. I couldn’t imagine him around spiders and snakes. I wasn’t surprised at all [about how scared he was]. I remember we went for our honeymoon, we went to Langkawi.
“We were told there could be snakes at night. We were meant to stay four nights but we only stayed one night! I didn’t think he would last four days. So he’s doing really well.”
The brunette beauty initially felt sorry for her spouse because he was being put up for all of the trials but then she realised that the show was boring when he wasn’t having much screen time.
She explained: “I felt so bad and I was praying he wouldn’t get voted the next day, and he got voted again and again. But the days he’s not doing the trials, I find it so boring. Nobody screams like him!”
The couple have had a rocky relationship over the past year – with accusations of affairs, details of family feuds and a recent pregnancy announcement – and fans were concerned that they were having issues again because Faryal decided not to fly out to Australia to support her husband.
But she said: “I’m not heavily pregnant quite yet. I’m quite petite, so I might show soon. [But] because I’m pregnant and I do feel a bit sick sometimes, it’s a really long flight. So hopefully when Amir is back we can go on a shorter flight and go on holiday. After the jungle, I think he’s going to need a holiday.”

Rebekah Vardy in ‘so much pain’ with swollen stomach

OHMYGOSSIP — Rebekah Vardy is in “so much pain” from a swollen stomach after she scoffed “everything in sight” upon leaving the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ jungle.
The 35-year-old WAG – the wife of footballer Jamie Vardy – left the camp 14lbs lighter than before she went in two weeks ago and was given strict instructions by the show’s medic Bob McCarron to stick to small portions upon her departure – but she ignored his advice and is now suffering with a bloated belly and crippling cramps.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday (07.12.17), the brunette star uploaded a short video of her bulging belly and accompanied it with the caption: “I lost a stone in the jungle & then came out and ate everything in sight. So now I’m in so much pain because I’m ridiculously bloated Bob knows best, I should have stuck to his advice! (sic).”
Rebekah – who has four children; Finley, who is 10 months old, and Sofia, two, with Jamie, and Megan, 12, and son Taylor, seven, from two previous relationships –
recently admitted that she missed her husband while she was away but sex wasn’t really on her mind because all she kept thinking about was stuffing her face.
She said recently: “I missed cuddles with Jamie but I didn’t think about sex once. No one had thought about it in camp. It’s weird but the hunger takes over.
“I lost a stone. This is the weight I was before I had any kids. Jamie loves me whatever I look like, but I’m too skinny now. New boobs are on my Christmas list.
“I got them done eight years ago and I want to get them done again because I’ve breast-fed two babies since then.”
While she was on the show, Rebekah was put up for numerous tasks – including an eating challenge – and is furious that her husband has racked up a huge phone bill voting for her.
She said: “I knew they’d vote for me to do trials. Jamie said he’d make sure it happens. I’m furious as he’s warned me about the phone bill from all his voting.”
But she was ruled out of several challenges on “medical grounds” and, although she was accused of being a diva, it wad down to the fact she has a dangerous allergy to shellfish.
She explained: “I wasn’t being a diva. I’m allergic to shellfish, I get really bad reactions, so to be on the safe side I had to opt out of fish trials.”

Shirley Ballas may not return to Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Shirley Ballas may not return to ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ next year.
The 57-year-old legendary dancer has received mixed reviews from viewers since joining the ballroom and latin judging panel in September and has admitted, although she’d love to reclaim her seat next year, she doesn’t know if bosses will want her back.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Friday (08.12.17), she said: “We haven’t finished the season yet. I’ve had the most spectacular time. There have been some things to get used to like Twitter and the press. But generally I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every minute of being on the show. As of yet, nothing has been decided. So we will wait and see.”
The dance expert took over as head judge on the show from Len Goodman – who quit last year because he couldn’t deal with the travelling between the UK and US anymore – and she has admitted stepping into such well-loved shoes was “terrifying.”
She explained: “I’m quite a perfectionist. When I first came on and I had to judge the first show, it was terrifying. I take my job extremely seriously. You are totally under scrutiny. I go from week to week. I’m married to what I do. I think I did pretty good. I would probably give myself ‘seven’. In anything you do there is room for improvement.”
However, Shirley recently admitted she “dreads” having to judge the dance-off every week because, as head judge, she has the deciding vote.
She said: “That results show was incredibly hard. Having the deciding vote is the hardest part of this job and the thing I dread every week.
“They were both fantastic couples and it was so difficult to do. I was as shocked as everyone that they were in the dance-off.
“The fact that they were in the bottom two showed they did not have enough public votes. The judges make their decision based on the dance-off alone, not on previous performances. It is getting really tough now – it’s anyone’s to win.
“But if you have a favourite, make sure you vote.”
