Holly Willoughby offered huge deal for Dancing On Ice return

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby has reportedly been offered a huge deal to return for another series of ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The 43-year-old presenter is set to be without an ITV contract for the first time in 20 years when the skating show comes to an end on Sunday (10.03.24) night but channel bosses are determined to do everything they can to keep the former ‘This Morning’ host, despite offers from rival broadcasters.
A source told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: “‘Dancing On Ice’ is definitely coming back in 2025 and the plan is that Holly will host it.
“Contracts are being negotiated but the chiefs love her and they know that there are others who would love to sign her up but ITV love her and they want to keep her very much part of the ITV furniture for years to come.
“Holly has a real fondness for the show, it really catapulted her career from a children’s presenter into grown up television so ITV very much hope that she will agree to the deal.”
Sources also told the outlet the channel are keen to line up other shows for Holly to present following her sudden departure from ‘This Morning’ last year amid an alleged kidnap plot.
Meanwhile, ‘Dancing on Ice’ judge Christopher Dean has told how Holly – who presents the show with Stephen Mulhern – was reduced to tears on her first day back to work since leaving ‘This Morning’.
He is quoted by the Sunday Mirror newspaper as saying: “Holly came in ahead of the first show.
“We all hugged her and she was moved to tears.
“That warmth and welcome back meant a lot I think.”

Angela Bassett ‘wailed for 16 hours’ a day on Tina Turner biopic set

OHMYGOSSIP — Angela Bassett “wailed for 16 hours” while filming ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It’.
The 65-year-old actor was nominated for an Oscar for her portrayal of Tina Turner in the 1993 biopic but she admitted shooting gruelling scenes opposite Laurence Fishburne as her abusive husband Ike Turner took a huge toll on her.
She told People magazine: “It’s not playtime or acting. You assess a part of your spirit in the portrayal when you really connect…
“To portray the particular violence of rape was just emotionally draining and would be for anyone.”
Of a scene where Ike “knocked” Tina over the back of a couch, she added: “I literally wailed, cried for 16 hours, whether I was on-screen or off-screen for my costars.
“I probably wouldn’t do that today. But during that time we were just so committed through the fire.”
Angela will always be grateful to have had Laurence advocate for her while shooting the gruelling scenes.
She said: “I was newbie on the scene, I don’t have so much influence or say.
“But I had an advocate who would join me by my side and we would say, in a firm and delicate way, ‘We got it.'”
But despite the heavy nature of the themes in the movie, Angela knew it was the right career move for her.
She said: “It was a real watershed moment in my life. And I knew in the making of it that it had the possibility of changing my life and it could change the trajectory of my career.”
The ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ actress previously revealed she worked out 12 hours a day and barely ate while making the movie.
She told Variety: “You got up at five in the morning, went to the gym to work out for two-and-a-half hours.
“Then you would head to Michael Peters (the choreographer) and learn routines – which were all intense cardio – for about 10 hours. Ten hours!
“You had to be so focused and so determined. Pain was irrelevant. Fear was real and physical pain and torture was just going to be a part of it. Every part of your body hurt and there was no time to eat anything.”
Angela added about her diet on the film: “Broccoli, string beans, Yukon potatoes and bland chicken breast. That’s what my trainer suggested for me. “And black coffee and water. Literally. And there was no time to sit down at a table and eat those items.”

Michael Keaton: Beetlejuice sequel is ‘so fun’

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Keaton has promised ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ will be “great”.
The 72-year-old actor is back as the ‘ghost with the most’ in the highly-anticipated sequel to the original 1988 horror comedy, and having seen an early cut of the finished movie, he’s delighted with how it’s turned out.
Speaking on SiriusXM’s ‘The Jess Cagle Show’, he said: “[The movie] is beautiful, physically. The other one was so fun and exciting visually, it’s all that but really beautiful and interestingly emotional here and there. I wasn’t ready for that. It’s great.
“It’s just so fun and I’ve seen it now. I’m going to see it again after a couple of little tweaks in the editing room, and I confidently say this thing is great.”
Ahead of filming the sequel, Michael went back to rewatch the original movie and had a great time.
He said: “I probably only really seen it from the beginning once or twice maybe. So I hadn’t seen it for a long, long, long time so I did go back and look at it again.”
Michael previously explained he and returning director Tim Burton wanted the sequel to “feel handmade” and not overly reliant on technology.
He told People magazine: “The one thing that he and I decided on early, early, early on from the beginning, if we ever did it again, I was totally not interested in doing something where there was too much technology.
“It had to feel handmade…
“What made it fun was watching somebody in the corner actually holding something up for you, to watch everybody in the shrunken head room and say, ‘Those are people under there, operating these things, trying to get it right.’ ”
He admitted getting to work in that was thrilling, particularly after the Hollywood trend of relying on green screen for many big budget blockbusters.
He added: “It’s the most exciting thing. When you get to do that again after years of standing in front of a giant screen, pretending somebody’s across the way from you, this is just enormous fun.”

Giancarlo Esposito cries every time he sees It’s A Wonderful Life

OHMYGOSSIP — Giancarlo Esposito cries “every time” at a particular scene in ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ as it reminds him of when he we was bankrupt.
The 65-year-old actor – who is best known for playing Gus Fring in the AMC crime drama series ‘Breaking Bad’ and its prequel series ‘Better Call Saul’ – lost all his money following the 2008 financial crisis, and when the same happens to George Bailey (James Stewart) in the 1946 classic Christmas supernatural drama, it sets him off.
He told the April issue of Empire magazine: “It’s A Wonderful Life. It’s always the moment where [George Bailey] realises that the money’s gone. It gets me in my heart. It hit me on a very personal note before I went bankrupt [in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis], and then it resounded more afterwards. I have a poster in my closet that my daughter made; the words of Gustavo Fring, to remind me: “You are a wealthy man now. And one must learn to be rich. To be poor, anyone can manage.”
The ‘The Mandalorian’ star also revealed Arnold Schwarzenegger has weirdly become his gym mate.
Asked to pick between the ‘Terminator’ star, 76, and ‘Rocky’ star Sylvester Stallone, 77, he replied: “Schwarzenegger! Without a doubt! I met him at the gym in Los Angeles. I was on the bicycle.
I got off, I wiped the whole bike down. Arnold looks at me and he goes, ‘Oh wow, you remind me of someone I know.’ I said, ‘Who?’ ‘Joe Morton. He’s a good actor. But I tell you why I like you – I like you because you wipe every machine.’ I see him every few years in some awkward, weird situation and he always remembers me.”

Alison Hammond ‘never’ wanted full-time job on This Morning

OHMYGOSSIP — Alison Hammond “never” wanted to host ‘This Morning’ full time.
The 49-year-old star co-hosts the daytime show on Fridays with Dermot O’Leary but she’s insisted she doesn’t resent Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard after they were recently announced as permanent presenters for the rest of the week because she’s too busy with her multiple other commitments.
She told The Sunday Times magazine: “We’re the Friday guys! We love being Friday guys!”
Asked if there was any discussion about her presenting more often, she added: “Absolutely not. How could I? I live in Birmingham and do ‘Bake Off’ and ‘For the Love of Dogs’. I never wanted that job. Last year we did extra because we were going through issues, but Cat and Ben will save that show.”
The show was mired in scandal last year following the departure of Phillip Schofield over his “unwise but not illegal” affair with a young male colleague, and while Alison didn’t want to talk about the controversy, she insisted she wishes “the best” for the presenter.
She said: “Listen, I don’t want to get into salacious gossip. All I need to say is I personally wish Phillip Schofield all the best. I loved Phillip Schofield. Full stop. But that’s the last thing I would want to speak about.”
The ‘Great British Bake Off’ host is always happy to meet fans when she’s out and about because she views it as her job.
She said: “I bring joy. But I take it seriously, because life is hard and you’ve just seen how people react to me. I make them forget their life. I bring joy, that’s my role. And if that can happen for somebody through my laugh, which even I find annoying, that’s fine by me.”
And even when her mum died of cancer four years ago, Alison left the hospital and agreed straight away to take a picture with a woman who had approached her.
She recalled: “On the way out, a woman asked me for a photo.
“And I said, ‘Of course!’ That’s my job. People like that put me where I am today and I was looking at the phone screen, at our selfie, thinking, my mum just died.
“But it made that woman happy, so of course I took it. I’m not going to deny someone a photo just because I’m not in the mood. People off TV are not always this friendly, but it’s who I am. I’m hands on. I hug. We’re all on the same level.”

Strictly Come Dancing want more young professional dancers

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ bosses are on the hunt for younger professional female dancers.
The programme faced criticism this year after runner-up Bobby Brazer, 20, was paired with 34-year-old Dianne Buswell and with producers looking to appeal to a youthful audience with their choice of celebrity contestants, they are reportedly taking steps to shorten the age gaps with their partners.
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Bosses are always keen to cast young celebs to appeal to a younger demographic.
“But Bobby and Dianne were subject to some quite nasty trolling and that’s made them look again at the pro line-up.
“Currently the youngest female pro is Jowita Przystal, who will be 30 in September. On the male side, they have Nikita [Kuzmin], who – if he’s back next year – is a good fit for a younger celebrity at 26.
“The thinking is now that they also need to have a younger female equivalent.”
Meanwhile, Amy Dowden recently expressed her hope she will be back in the ‘Strictly’ pro line-up this year after being unable to take part last year because she was battling breast cancer.
Speaking on ‘BBC Breakfast’, she said: “This is the longest I’ve never danced for since May, so I need to get my body back into it.
“Obviously my body has been through so much with chemo so it’s building up gradually, but I’ve missed it so much.”
Amy – who was recently declared cancer free returned to the ‘Strictly’ studio last year to support her fellow pro dancers, but admitted it was “bittersweet” because she couldn’t compete for the Glitterball Trophy herself.
She said: “I used to go and support them and it was bittersweet.
“I was supporting my best friends, but I didn’t want anything more than to be on that dancefloor. It was so cruel.
“So that’s the aim, is that they’ll have me back, to be back on that dancefloor with my best friends doing what I love most later this year.”

Greg Rutherford quits Dancing On Ice after suffering injury

OHMYGOSSIP — Greg Rutherford has pulled out of the ‘Dancing On Ice’ final after suffering an injury.
The 37-year-old former Olympian was set to perform alongside his professional partner Vanessa James in the ‘Dancing On Ice’ final, but he suffered a “significant injury” in rehearsals and has been forced to withdraw from the competition.
Vanessa said on Instagram: “Unfortunately Greg has sustained a significant injury this morning at rehearsals and won’t be able to perform tonight.
“We are on our way to the hospital for Greg to get examined further and receive the treatment he needs.”
An ITV spokesperson has also confirmed the news.
The spokesperson said in a statement: “Sadly Olympian Greg Rutherford MBE has had to withdraw from ‘Dancing On Ice’ after sustaining an injury whilst in rehearsals for the final episode of the current series.
“Greg and Vanessa have been such a popular couple this series and have performed some truly memorable routines.
“We will be helping to support Greg and wish him well with his recovery.
“We also want to thank him for being such a treasured member of the ‘Dancing On Ice’ family.”
Meanwhile, Greg recently revealed that previous injury concerns threatened to derail his participation in the show.
The former athlete – who won the long jump gold medal at London 2012 – shared: “There’s certainly been a few moments where I’ve thought this probably isn’t going to happen.
“The worst one in particular was when the groin tore, which will be four weeks on Saturday.
“To be honest, I thought that was me done because of the pain, especially in that sort of area.
“In ice skating, you have to turn constantly your hips; they’re oscillating the whole time. So when you can’t do that, you think, ‘That’s me finished.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Thomas has won ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The 39-year-old TV star – who is best-known for playing Jason Grimshaw on ‘Coronation Street’ – and his professional partner Amani Fancy have been crowned as the winners of the ITV show.
Ryan and Amani secured a perfect score from the judges after they performed an eye-catching routine to the sound of ‘Believer’ by Imagine Dragons.
Christopher Dean hailed their performance, saying: “You put your heart and soul into that right from the beginning – you left it all out there on the ice.”
Jayne Torvill also described their performance as “beautiful” and “seamless”.
Ryan and Amani claimed the ‘Dancing on Ice’ crown ahead of ‘Made In Chelsea’ star Miles Nazaire, who came in second, and broadcaster Adele Roberts, who finished in third place.
Prior to the final, Greg Rutherford was forced to withdraw from the show after suffering an injury.

“We also want to thank him for being such a treasured member of the ‘Dancing On Ice’ family.”
Holly Willoughby also addressed the issue during the broadcast.

“Unfortunately, Greg injured himself in rehearsals earlier today. We’re all completely gutted. Sadly, he cannot continue in the competition.”

‘The first day was a complete shock’: Lauren Goodger on her return to The Only Way Is Essex

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Goodger found her first day back at ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ a “complete shock” after living in a “mum bubble”.
The 37-year-old reality star first starred on the show in 2010, before leaving in 2015, although she has made a handful of appearances since then.
And she says now is the “right time” to make her full-time comeback after settling into life as a mum to her two-year-old daughter Larose – whose father is her former partner Charles Drury – and an horrific period in her life.
She told OK!: “I was going to go back two years ago but then I had Larose and then went through a terrible time with my second pregnancy and everything else, so it just wasn’t ever the right time.
“If the producers had spoken to me a year ago, I wouldn’t have done it – but I feel ready now.”
Although she found the first day tough, she soon felt right back at home.
She shared: “I wasn’t nervous because TOWIE’s sort of my home, but I’ve been in a mum bubble so the first day of filming was a complete shock.
“It’s like driving a car though. You might not do it for 10 years, but then you get back in the driver’s seat and pick it straight back up. You don’t forget what you’re doing. And when I was in mum mode, nothing else mattered for such a long time, but now I’m finding myself again.”
She added: “I’m remembering who I was before I became a mum and that’s so important and healthy. All my friends have got jobs and work – most mums do – and I want Larose to see that I’ve got a job too.”
Lauren tragically lost her second daughter Lorena in July 2022 after her baby was born with her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck.
Charles was then arrested, and subsequently bailed, over an alleged assault on Lauren following the little one’s funeral.
The star was further devastated to discover her ex-boyfriend Jake McLean – who she dated from 2012 to 2016 – died following a car crash the same month she lost her baby girl.
Lauren says she is “slowly healing” from the tragedies in her life.
She said: “After going through something like that, it isn’t just a straight situation of it’s bad and then it gets better – it comes in waves. In the beginning I was in shock. It took me a long time to really register what had happened.
“My body and my brain just couldn’t handle so much shock and trauma in one go so it sort of shut down to protect me. I’ll be completely honest, the reason I got through it all is because of Larose. She has kept me going and without her I probably wouldn’t be here. I’m in therapy and we’re working through it – I’m slowly healing.”
As for whether Larose will appear on the ITVBe show alongside her mum, she replied: “Her dad and I are discussing it together because I want us to agree.
“I don’t mind her being on the show at this age, but it would be different if she was a teenager. I’d love her to make a little cameo with Amy’s kids – that would be lovely.”

Chantelle Houghton celibate for two years after giving up on love

OHMYGOSSIP — Chantelle Houghton has been celibate for two years because she’s given up on finding love
The 40-year-old reality TV star has become disillusioned with the dating scene because “decency seems to have gone out of the window” and she’s decided she would rather stay single than face any more cheating partners, disastrous dates or social media “creeps”.
She told The Sun newspaper: “The dating landscape has completely changed; decency seems to have gone out of the window, and in all honesty, after a series of heartbreaks, cheating partners and disastrous dates, I’ve now given up looking for love.
“And don’t even get me started on the creeps who approach me on social media with sexually inappropriate messages. Where have all the gentlemen gone? Chivalry appears to be dead and I’d much rather go through the rest of my life single than settle for someone who makes me miserable.”
She explained the final straw came around a year ago when she matched with a man on a dating app and agreed to meet him for lunch in a posh restaurant.
Chantelle claims he splashed out on a full meal and a “gallon” of wine while she had a small sandwich and a tap water, but he still expected her to pick up the whole bill.
She has now decided she’s happier on her own even though she’s had to sacrifice any chance of intimacy.
Chantelle added: “At the age of 40, I’ve reached a place where I’m fine on my own. In fact, I’m happier than ever. That also means kissing goodbye to intimacy, making me officially celibate … It’s been two years now and, without sex, I feel empowered, independent and free.”
Chantelle went on to insist she would never consider a one-night stand because she considers sex to “come hand-in- hand with a relationship” because she needs to have a real connection with a partner.
The former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star has a daughter, now 11, with her ex Alex Reid and she admits another plus to giving up dating is making sure there aren’t lots of different men coming in and out of her little girl’s life.
Chantelle – who was previously married to musician Samuel Preston – concluded by insisting she “deserves more” than what the men she met were preparing to offer, and she leads a full life without a partner.

A second Super Mario Bros. Movie is set for April 2026

OHMYGOSSIP — A second ‘Super Mario Bros.’ movie has been confirmed for April 3, 2026.
Nintendo’s game director Shigeru Miyamoto took to the video game giant’s X (Twitter) page to announce another animated film in the universe is on the way in two years time.
Although there are no plot details for now, Miyamoto teased it will be a “bright and fun story”.
He wrote: This is Miyamoto. We are now creating a new animated film based on the world of Super Mario Bros. This film is planned for release in theaters on April 3rd, 2026 in the US and many other markets, and throughout the month of April in other territories.
We’ll let you know the details once we’re ready to share more. This time too, the staff at Illumination and Nintendo are working together. We’re thinking about broadening Mario’s world further, and it’ll have a bright and fun story. We hope you’ll look forward to it!”
It will be produced by founder and CEO of Illumination, Chris Meledandri and Miyamoto. Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic will direct from a script once again penned by Matthew Fogel.
The 2023 blockbuster, ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’, was the second highest-grossing film of the year.
Jack Black recently said he would like a musical sequel like ‘Joker 2’.
The 54-year-old actor voices Bowser in the record-breaking film and would love to reprise the role as Mario’s arch-nemesis in a “full musical” titled ‘Bowser’s Revenge’.
He told Variety: “I don’t like to mix my music and movies, unless they told me at the beginning.
“I’m real protective of the Tenacious D side of my career. They sent me a 30-second nugget of an idea, and it was hilarious. So I fleshed it out, added some lyrics and melody, and they loved it. And by God, they put it in the film. I couldn’t believe they did.”
Jack added: “I think it should be a full musical, like what Todd Phillips is supposedly doing with ‘Joker 2.’”
Chris Pratt, 44, voiced the legendary plumber Mario in the flick.

Mark Ronson says Amy Winehouse biopic ‘nails her humour’

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Ronson has declared the Amy Winehouse biopic ‘Back to Black’ has “nailed” the late singer’s sense of hunour.
The produced worked with Winehouse – who died in 2011 aged 27 – on her huge 2006 album ‘Back To Black’ and he’s now weighed in on the film based on her life story – admitting he hasn’t seen it but he read the script and thinks the writers have got it spot on.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’ on the red carpet at the 96th Academy Awards, Ronson said: “I haven’t seen the film [but] I read the script. I love the script and the way that it really got … Amy was so funny and they really nailed her humour. I haven’t seen the film yet.”
He went on to praise actress Marisa Abela, who is playing Winehouse in the film. Ronson added: “She came to visit us in the studio where Amy and I recorded a lot of ‘Back to Black’. She wanted to come and see it. She seems lovely.”
‘Back To Black’ is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and features a script written by Matt Greenhalgh, focusing on the singer’s rise to fame and the release of her Grammy Award-winning record.
It is described as “an unapologetic look at the woman behind the phenomenon and the tumultuous relationship at the centre of one of the most legendary albums of all time.”
Marisa, 28, previously admitted she wanted to capture the singer’s “essence” in the film.
Speaking at the Harper’s Bazaar International Women’s Day event in London earlier this month, Marisa said: “What we were interested in doing was bringing audiences back to who she was when she first captured everyone’s imaginations, that moment where she really set the world on fire with her album ‘Frank’.
“We wanted to get back to that place, who was she, at the centre of her own narrative? I wanted to capture the essence of her soul.”
The actress continued: “When we look back on her narrative, we are somehow using other people to inform us on her story. Our film is really trying to take it back to how Amy felt, what Amy was thinking. And there is no judgement there. This is about putting Amy back in the driver’s seat of her own story.”
‘Back to Black’ is due for release on May 17.

Kyle Walker and Riyad Mahrez’s exes ‘set to star in Wag show’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kyle Walker and Riyad Mahrez’s exes are said to be set to star in a show about the Wag lifestyle.
Lauryn Goodman, 33, and Rita Johal, 29, had children with Kyle, 33, and Riyad, also 33, respectively before their relationships collapsed.
A source told The Sun about how they are now set to reveal all about their lives in a new show: “Lauryn and Rita are on board for the docuseries. They have stories to tell and will get free rein.
“Kyle and Riyad won’t know what’s hit them when it airs.”
The Sun added insiders on the new series confirmed other Wags have signed up to appear.
A source said: “ITV and streaming services are interested. Filming is due to start later this summer.”
Manchester City star Kyle confirmed earlier this year he had two children with Lauryn, while his former teammate Riyad – who is now playing for Saudi team Al-Ahli, has two daughters with Rita.
Kyle – who has three children with his estranged wife Annie, told The Sun earlier this year about how he had a fling with Lauryn, adding to the newspaper: “What I’ve done is horrible and I take full responsibility. I can’t begin to think or imagine what Annie is going through.”
Meanwhile, Rita told The Sun fame went to Riyad’s head after he joined Manchester City from Leicester, adding: “A footballer’s career is short-lived but they should remain loyal to those they care for, even when they have moved to a bigger club, because when it’s all over they will realise who’s truly there.”

Ray Winstone’s wife hates his ‘murderous’ expression

OHMYGOSSIP — Ray Winstone says his wife hates his resting face as it looks like he wants to kill someone.
The movie and TV hardman, 67, who is starring in Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series reboot of his gangster film ‘The Gentlemen’, admitted his partner of 25 years Elaine McCausland always tells him he looks murderous when he walks around their house.
He told Variety: “My wife says to me, ‘Why do you look like you’re going to kill someone when you walk into a room?’
“But I don’t mean to.”
Ray also said he is trying to wrap his head around the dazzling array of directors he’s worked with since his breakout role as borstal gang leader Carlin in Alan Clarke’s 1979 TV film ‘Scum’.
He added: “It’s not until you sit down and you’re asked questions and reflect on it and you think, ‘Oh yeah, I’ve worked with (Steven) Spielberg, (‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’), (Martin) Scorsese (‘The Departed’), I’ve worked with (Darren) Aronofsky (‘Noah’), I’ve worked with Jonathan Glazer (‘Sexy Beast’.)’
And you go, ‘Oh, that’s quite a body of directors over the years.
“And if you haven’t learned anything from them, you’re never going to learn anything!”
Ray also recently opened up about how he spent decades secretly feuding with ‘Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ filmmaker Guy Ritchie, 55, before they made up and united for ‘The Gentlemen’.
He told Virgin Radio’s ‘Chris Evans Breakfast Show’: “We had words years ago – a fallout.
“I was going to do (Guy’s 1998 film) ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ and it didn’t happen for whatever reason.
“And I thought he was in the wrong and he probably thought I was in the wrong.
“Fisticuffs never came about, thank God. Over the years we snubbed one another but then you grow up.
“We had a meet and had a little cuddle and a chat about it. And he is a good guy.
“All those wasted years… .”

A.J. Odudu ‘wasn’t fine’ after ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ collapse

OHMYGOSSIP — A.J. Odudu admitted she “wasn’t fine” after she collapsed during ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’.
The 36-year-old TV star, who hosts ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ alongside Will Best, 39, was pushed to the brink during her stint on the Channel 4 reality show in 2019, and crumbled after she carried 45kg of equipment up a steep hill, with a team rushing to her aid.
She was quoted in the Daily Star newspaper saying: “There’s a whole team of people who are like, ‘Just stop, you’re allowed to stop’, and I’m like, ‘No, I’m fine’.
“I’ve got a really high pain threshold. I can endure some things and then go, ‘Actually, maybe I wasn’t fine. Gosh, that was touch and go.'”
A.J. also reflected on her “distressing” dramatic exit from the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ final in 2021 after the presenter tore a ligament in her ankle.
She recalled: “It was so distressing. I had this acute pain that literally made me projectile-vomit on the stop – that’s how sharp the pain was.
“I was having fluid drained out of my foot, I was having ultra-sounds, then I’m in a moon boot speaking to the team at ‘Strictly’ saying, ‘Do you think an iconic dance where I am in a moon boot?'”
A.J. about ‘Celebrity SAS’: “The most exciting thing about the celebrity version is everyone goes in thinking they are going to keep up this squeaky clean persona and it’s all going to be filtered and edited to how they like titbit actually the control is taken out of their hands.
“I think their luxuries being stripped away from them means they will be disarmed from the get go and we’ll get to see the real them.”

‘Corrie’ actor David Neilson slams online trolling as ‘dangerous’

OHMYGOSSIP — David Neilson has warned online trolling is “dangerous” amid his ‘Coronation Street’ storyline about the impact of online abuse.
The 74-year-old actor, who plays Roy Cropper in the ITV soap, is currently at the centre of a dark plot in the ITV soap, which sees the café owner lock himself away after Internet sleuths begin to berate him after he was arrested for the disappearance of Lauren Bolton, played by Cait Fitton, 22.
When ITV asked about whether online bullying was an alien concept to his character, David said: “It is, he doesn’t understand it. It’s dangerous, and it is dangerous in the real world.
“You know, there are kids taking their own lives because of these sort of morons and bullies, awful people and awful stupidity going on. “It is very relevant in today’s society. It is the online version of mob mentality.
“Like the old-fashioned lynch mob in the village going around to someone’s house setting it on fire or damaging property, but they are nameless and faceless. It is a fictional story but it does relate to things that are happening in the world today.”
The actor was then quizzed on how his character felt after Nina Lucas, played by 26-year-old Mollie Gallagher, discovered the harmful comments against Roy, which David said was a reflection of “a sort of insanity” he is desperate to move away from in reality.
He explained: “That’s the way that wonderful technology can be used by human beings for all sorts of suspect reasons. It’s like graffiti or open day for idiots. Anybody’s allowed on there. Everybody invited, everybody in.
“Like Roy I have nothing to do with social media, like a lot of my generation. So in a way it is quite fascinating to see what is happening to him. I’m playing this like it is a sort of insanity that’s going on and I’m playing against something that I don’t understand, let alone Roy.
“He has only just got a phone and when he finds out about all this craziness on Nina’s phone he simply says he doesn’t want to talk about it.”
David also said Roy wanted to help the police find missing Lauren, even though “his brain is a bit scrambled”.
