Dame Barbara Windsor can’t do Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Barbara Windsor would never be allowed to do ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 80-year-old actress was asked to take part in the ballroom and latin competition when it first hit television screens in 2004 but she was forced to turn it down because bosses at ‘EastEnders’ – she soap she was working on at the time – “wouldn’t let her”.
But, although she’s no longer involved in the show – in which she played matriarch Peggy Mitchell – she believes she’s too old to slip into some dancing shoes.
Speaking at the Television and Radio Industry Club’s Christmas Lunch in the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, she said: “Now I’m 80, they wouldn’t ask me in case I had an accident because I could sue them for a lot of money.”
However, although she regrets not hitting the dance floor, she is rooting for her friend Debbie McGee – who is currently taking part in the show – to lift the glitter ball trophy.
She explained: “I absolutely love it. Our Debs is doing very well. I think the public love her because she’s a lovely lady – and that comes across.”
Barbara turned her back on ‘EastEnders’ last year when her alter-ego Peggy died from breast cancer and, although it was her decision to be killed off, she has admitted she would’ve stayed on the Square if she’d known June Whitfield had been cast as Sister Ruth – the nun who knew the truth about Kat Moon’s (Jessie Wallace) baby son – in 2016.
She said: “I was so thrilled when you joined. I said: ‘Why am I leaving? June is coming!’ If I’d known you were coming in I would’ve stayed. They aren’t like us, are they!”

Sam Faiers names baby daughter Rosie

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Faiers has named her baby daughter Rosie.
The former ‘Only Way is Essex’ star welcomed her little bundle of joy into the world with her partner Paul Knightley a month ago but decided to keep the tot’s moniker a secret until last night (12.12.17) when she announced it via Instagram with a sweet photo.
Taking to the photo-sharing site just before her best friend Ferne McCann’s motherhood documentary ‘First Time Mum’ aired on ITVBe, she uploaded a photograph of Rosie propped up against a sofa in a cream babygrow.
She simply captioned it: “Rosie Knightley,” followed by a rose emoji.
And, although she’s got her hands full with the newborn and her 24-month-old son Paul Jr, the 26-year-old television personality is desperate to add another one to her brood.
She said recently: “I want more. I think I’ll have a bit more of a gap after this baby. And then when they’re both at school, free up a bit of time and get your life back … He [Paul] wants a big family too. I think it would be lovely to have a little boy because they’re brothers and they would grow up together but equally I’d like a little girl because I’d feel blessed that I’ve got one of each.”
And Sam has admitted nothing could prepare her for the moment she became a mother because of the unconditional love she has.
She added: “I’m really laid back and I’d say I’m a really laid-back mum too, so I kind of took it in my stride. Nothing can prepare you. My sister, when she first had Nellie, I was round there every day so I was kind of prepared but actually when you have your own, nothing can prepare you.”

Vicky Pattison says Ferne McCann inspired her to get the implant

OHMYGOSSIP — Vicky Pattison felt inspired by Ferne McCann to get the contraceptive implant.
The 30-year-old reality star revealed she had decided to have the implant during Ferne’s new show ‘First Time Mum’, because she didn’t feel like she was ready for motherhood at the moment.
Pointing to the scar on her arm, Vicky told Ferne: “Look how much you’ve scared me.”
Ferne welcomed her first child, daughter Sunday, early last month, and is raising her baby alone after her ex-boyfriend, Arthur Collins, was recently convicted for his role in an acid attack in a nightclub.
Vicky, on the other hand, doesn’t quite feel ready for the challenge and responsibility of motherhood at the moment.
She explained: “This is my implant, to make sure I don’t similarly end up in the family way.
“I’m not ready. You’re so much more mature than me. I’ve took positive steps, that’s four years I’m covered for now.”
And Ferne admitted to being impressed by her close friend’s responsible attitude.
She shared: “Do you know what? You’re actually really sensible, this is something that I never done.”
Despite this, Vicky claimed last month that she can see children “very much part of her future”.
She said that after getting back together with her childhood sweetheart John Noble, she’s open to the possibility of starting a family when the time is right.
Vicky explained: “I always said I didn’t want children but being with John has totally changed my mind. We recently made the decision that children are part of our future. I’ve come to realise that life would be quite empty without them.”

Georgia Toffolo says bullying helped her win I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!

OHMYGOSSIP — Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo thinks being bullied as a child helped her to win ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’.
The ‘Made In Chelsea’ star says she developed the ability to avoid confrontation after being bullied at school aged 12, and she believes that was key to her recent success on the ITV show.
She explained “I’m very passive and in the four years I’ve been on ‘Made In Chelsea’ I generally avoid arguing. I really don’t like it.
“So when there was animosity in camp I could feel it. I would always remove myself from the drama by going for a work-out, a swim or hanging out with Stanley Johnson, who was mostly doing his own thing. So I didn’t experience any upset.
“Maybe by nature and because of my past I protect myself. The minute I feel any tension I take myself away. I really prefer to be positive.”
Toff was bullied so badly during her childhood that her parents ultimately decided to remove her from her girls’ school in Exeter, Devon.
But, on reflection, the reality star believes the experience has helped to make her a stronger person.
She told The Sun newspaper: “It was a really horrible time in my life and I can’t really remember it. I think I’ve blocked it out because it was so upsetting.
“A group of girls didn’t like me and picked on me on a daily basis. They were ever so bitchy. But I moved on, with the support of my family. Even talking about it now makes me well up with tears.
“But it’s important to remember, most people have been bullied, and it makes you a stronger person in the long run.”

Hugh Jackman wants to see Wolverine in the MCU

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Jackman wants to see Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The 49-year-old actor portrayed the iconic Marvel comic book character eight times across the ‘X-Men’ series and his own standalone franchise – and had a cameo in ‘X-Men: First Class’ – but made it clear after shooting 2017’s ‘Logan’ that he would never return to the big screen as the adamantium enforced mutant.
However, Disney – who purchased Marvel Studios – are currently in negotiations to secure the film and TV studio side of 21st Century Fox – who own the rights to the Marvel created ‘X-Men’ and ‘Fantastic Four’ franchises.
Jackman thinks the prospect of those characters joining the rest of the Marvel family is very excited but is adamant cinema goers will never see him in the MCU.
Speaking to Collider, Jackman said: “It’s interesting because for the whole 17 years I kept thinking that would be so great, like I would love to see, particularly, Iron Man and the Hulk and Wolverine together.
“And every time I saw an ‘Avengers’ movie I could just see Wolverine in the middle of all of them, like, punching them all on the head.
“But it was like, ‘Oh well, that’s not gonna happen,’ and it was interesting just when I first saw that headline – it was just the possibility of it and who knows what’s gonna happen, obviously – I was like, ‘Hang on!’ But I think, unfortunately, the ship has sailed for me, but for someone else I would like to see Wolverine in there.”

James Mangold speaks out on Disney and Fox talks

OHMYGOSSIP — James Mangold thinks it would be “sad” if Disney buys the film side of 20th Century Fox.
The 53-year-old filmmaker helmed Fox’s recent R-rated success ‘Logan’ but Disney – which now owns Marvel Studios – is currently closing in on a deal to try and get back the rights for the iconic comic book characters.
Fox owns the complete rights to both the ‘X-Men’ and ‘Fantastic Four’ franchises and any new character within its universe belongs solely to the studio – which led to the cancellation of the ‘Fantastic Four’ comic series.
However, Mangold told Deadline that if Disney buys out the studio it would mean “less movies” will be made.
He said: “If they’re actually changing their mandate, if what they’re supposed to do alters, that would be sad to me because it just means less movies.
“The real thing that happens when you make a movie rated R, behind the scenes, is that the studio has to adjust to the reality that there will be no Happy Meals. There will be no action figures. The entire merchandising, cross-pollinating side of selling the movie to children is dead before you even start. And when that’s dead, it means you’re making a grown-up movie.”
The ‘X-Men’ franchise and spin-offs have been successful for Fox with both the Bryan Singer trilogy, the ‘First Class’ movies, the Wolverine standalone series and R-rated ‘Deadpool’ all doing very well at the box office.
However, Marvel still does retain some input into the franchises and Fox needs Marvel to sign off on all TV deals regarding the superheroes, however, since the Marvel owns ‘The Avengers’ there has been some overlap with characters such as Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch – who have been members of both teams in the comics.
Unlike the popular ‘X-Men’ franchise, the ‘Fantastic Four’ films haven’t been as popular at the box office.
In 2015, the franchise was rebooted starring Miles Teller, Jamie Bell, Kate Mara and Michael B. Jordan as the titular Four, however, the film was poorly received by fans and critics alike.
These two franchises are not the only Marvel comic book heroes that belong outside of the Marvel Studios, with ‘Spider-Man’ being owned by Sony Pictures.
However, 2017 saw the first time Marvel Studios and Sony have worked together on the fan favourite superhero after Marvel sold the rights in 1985 for $225,000, with ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’.
This collaboration meant that Tom Holland – who portrays the webslinger – is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe rather than Sony’s.

Rian Johnson working with Daisy Ridley was a huge thrill

OHMYGOSSIP — Rian Johnson “leaned forward” in his chair with excitement when he learned he had a female hero to direct in ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’.
The 43-year-old filmmaker has helmed the eighth instalment of the sci-fi saga following on from J.J. Abrams’ ‘The Force Awakens’ and when he discovered that Rey (Daisy Ridley) and her journey with Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) was to be a central part of the plot he was thrilled.
Johnson believes that ‘Star Wars’ movies must always be “applicable to what’s going on now” and Rey’s story is the right one to tell.
Speaking to Time Out London magazine, Johnson said: “‘Star Wars movies always end up being applicable to what’s going on now. When they told me I was going to have a female protagonist, I leaned forward in my chair. That was exciting. Having grown up watching dudes be the heroes, it felt like scratching a place you haven’t been able to scratch for a while. And you can apply Darth Vader to whoever you don’t like in politics now. It’s the stuff under the stuff.”
As well as the return of Hamill as Jedi Master Luke his on-screen sister General Leia Organa is back with the late Carrie Fisher making her final appearance in the role as the Skywalker family saga continues.
Johnson admits his movie goes “to some more intense places” because it is the second film in the new trilogy.
He said: “The job of any middle chapter is to put the characters through hell. It’s where everything goes wrong. They have to go through the valley and see how they handle it. It’s where character comes from. So by necessity, we knew we were going to go to some more intense places. At the same time, though, I wanted to be a ‘Star Wars’ movie. For me, that means it’s fun, it’s funny, it’s a ride. I got the juicy middle part.”

Gary Oldman was worried about Winston Churchill weight gain for Darkest Hour

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary Oldman doubted he could play Winston Churchill in ‘Darkest Hour’ – because he was worried about having to gain a lot of weight.
The 59-year-old film legend stars as the heroic British Prime Minister, the man who guided Great Britain and its allies to victory against the German Nazis in World War II, in Joe Wright’s new film.
Churchill’s figure was much more portly than Oldman’s and he was concerned that if he had to “gain 70 pounds” for the part he’d never lose it, but luckily he was able to achieve the required look with makeup and the right prosthetic.
Speaking at the UK premiere of ‘The Darkest Hour’ at the Odeon Cinema in London’s Leicester Square on Monday evening (11.12.17), Oldman said: “I laughed and thought don’t be ridiculous. I’m coming up to a milestone, I’m nearly 60. And I thought there was no way on earth that I could gain 70 pounds and then spend the rest of my life of what remains losing weight. That would be the option. And so makeup was really the only way to go with it. You have this icon and this man who has been so mythologised. The silhouette is so iconic and so famous and I really wondered if one could get past all of that and find the man.”
‘Darkest Hour’ tells the story at the beginning of World War II as within days of becoming Prime Minister, Churchill must face one of his most turbulent and defining trials: exploring a negotiated peace treaty with Nazi Germany which could guarantee Britain’s independence and that of the Commonwealth.
As the Nazi forces roll across Western Europe and the threat of invasion of the UK, Churchill must resist attempts to by his own political party and an initially sceptical King George VI, to stand firm against the dangers facing his country and not buckle to the Nazis.
Oldman – who has been nominated for the Best Actor Golden Globe for his performance – stars alongside Kristin Scott Thomas, Lily James and Ben Mendelsohn in ‘Darkest Hour’.

Octavia Spencer felt like she was living in a bubble

OHMYGOSSIP — Octavia Spencer felt she was “living in a bubble” on the set of ‘The Shape of Water’.
The 47-year-old actress has opened up about what it was like on the set of the science fiction turned romance film and how she kept in the character of a woman from the 1960s.
She said: “I don’t really venture into the real world, because you know it is hard to play a woman from this era and then have all of these things you’re able to do now.
“So it is kind of like living in a bubble. So I spent a lot of time with Sally Hawkins.”
In the movie, Octavia plays a mute cleaner who stumbles on a amphibious man and admits playing a mute character has an “even deeper meaning” for her because her brother is mute.
She added: “I know this very well. My brother is mute. So it has an even deeper meaning for me. It’s more beautiful because I understand the beauty of not being able to say words but still convey feelings.”
Octavia enjoyed working alongside Sally and admits she was pleasantly surprised how she managed to channel a “different person” despite being painfully shy.
She told king5.com: “Well, here’s something people don’t know about Sally. She is painfully shy. I have never met anyone as shy as she is. When she becomes Elisa, it is a different person so to see her at work and to know how she really doesn’t like the spotlight at all. It’s just so beautiful and humbling, and I love her. Just love her.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sylvester Stallone has stepped down from directing ‘Creed II’.
The 71-year-old star took to Instagram to confirm he has handed over the helming reins to Steven Caple Jr. on the forthcoming film because he thinks the ‘Land’ filmmaker is more in touch with “this generation”.
He wrote: “The character of Adonis Creed reflects this generation, and I believe it is important to have a director who is part of it , that is why I think we are Lucky to have Stephen Caple ,Jr A wonderful new talent take over The directorial chores and make the story as relatable as possible… He and Michael B Jordan will deliver a knockout!u (sic)”

“Mike, Sly, and Tessa are extraordinarily talented and bring something special to today’s culture. I look forward to joining the family and continuing the precedent set by this franchise’s alumni of incredible filmmakers.”

He tweeted: “Excited for Coogler to hand over the reins to Steven Caple, Jr. – our director for Creed 2! Can’t wait to bring you guys the next chapter of our story … coming at you November 2018. #Creed2 (sic)”
Coogler is expected to join the movie in an executive producer capacity but a deal has not yet been completed.
As well as announcing Caple’s role, Stallone also teased fans that WWE star Brock Lesnar could be playing Ivan Drago’s son in ‘Creed II’, but admitted a “new unknown” star will take on the role.
Stallone wrote on Instagram: “Big challenges come in all shapes and forms! By the way this is just for entertainment, Drago’s son will be played by a new unknown…#brocklesnar #rockybalboa1976 (sic)”
This comes after Stallone announced in October he would be directing and producing ‘Creed II’.

Stallone reprised his role as the Italian Stallion in ‘Creed’, in which his iconic character was the trainer and mentor for boxer Adonis, the son of heavyweight champion Apollo Creed – Rocky’s most famous opponent – who was portrayed by Carl Weathers in the first four ‘Rocky’ movies.
Stallone co-produced the first ‘Creed’ movie and will reprise his role in the sequel.

EastEnders’ Max Branning to murder?

OHMYGOSSIP — EastEnders’ Max Branning will attempt to murder his arch-enemies Ian Beale and Phil Mitchell.
Viewers are looking forward to an action-packed festive season on the Square this year as the sneaky businessman – played by Jake Wood – is on a mission to wipe out the restaurant owner (Adam Woodyatt) and the recovering alcoholic (Steve McFadden) for revenge because he believes they’re the ones who have wronged him the most over the years.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, Jake, 45, said: “The build-up to Christmas is some of the most action-packed stuff I’ve ever seen. In terms of what I’ve read, these are maybe the best scripts since the Max and Stacey [affair] DVD reveal in 2007.
“Max’s revenge was supposed to be a joyous moment for him – but he’s been cut loose by his co-conspirators, and slipped into a traumatic mental state.
“He has a lot of anger towards people, and doesn’t know how to go about dealing with it. When Stacey takes Max in, he’s already tried to kill Ian and is on his way to murder Phil! I don’t know what the medical definition is, but it feels like he’s having a psychotic episode.”
And it’s not just Jake who is impressed with the festive storyline as Scott Maslen – who plays Max’s brother Jack Branning – has praised John Yorke, who returned to the show as executive producer after Sean O’Connor was sacked earlier this year, for getting it “back on track” again.
Taking to his Twitter account, he said: “Just want to give a big shout out to my fellow Brannings!!! You’re smashing it out the Park!!!! Jake, Jaclyn and Lorna!! And also big respect for John Yorke For studying this year getting EastEnders back to where it should be.and of course the writing team. #FEELS GOOD
“Bloody spellcheck!!! I meant to say! Big respect to John Yorke for Steadying the ship and getting us back on track!well done to the writing team and all the fantastic crew without whom it would all be impossible!!! Love you guys (sic)”

Holly Willoughby wants to release xmas single with Phillip Schofield

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby wants to release a Christmas single with Phillip Schofield.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter has admitted she’s not the “best singer” but she’s desperate to persuade his co-host to collaborate on a feel-good track that they could release over the festive season but, so far, he’s not convinced on the idea.
Speaking on the latest episode of ‘Red Stripe presents: This Feeling TV’, the 36-year-old beauty said: “I may not be the best singer but I’d love to do a Christmas single. I’ve actually asked the question many a time.
“I’ve said to him [Phillip] that we should definitely do it but he’s not having any of it. If it were to happy I reckon we could do ‘Deck The Halls’, then it could go: ‘Deck the halls with boughs of HOLLY, la la la la la la la la la.’ ”
And, if she does manage to get Phillip on board, the star will have plenty of help to ensure the single is perfect as she’s good friends with The Streets’ Mike Skinner.
She explained: “I love The Streets – Mikey [Skinner] is a genius! I actually appeared in the music video for ‘When You Wasn’t Famous’. The song is about waking up next to somebody, then seeing them on Saturday morning TV looking all squeaky and clean – but we kind of know what they got up to the night before… Before you ask it wasn’t actually written about me, just to clarify that!”
She’s also struck up a friendship with the Stone Roses and will never forget the moment she saw them at Heaton Park in Manchester.
She said: “To be in Manchester at Heaton Park, seeing Stone Roses by the stage… it was amazing. What I remember most from the gig though was that I had pink hip flask that ended up having its own Twitter handle by the end of it. The hip flask even ended up on stage… I think Mani took it on with him.”

Holly Hagan set for Celebrity Big Brother

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Hagan is reportedly being lined for ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ – for the third time.
The former ‘Geordie Shore’ beauty is said to be “seriously considering” following in the footsteps of her former co-stars Marnie Simpson and Charlotte Crosby by taking part in the forthcoming series of the reality TV show because she’s desperate to get herself back into the limelight, but this isn’t the first time she’s spoken with bosses.
A source told The Sun Online: “Holly has been for an interview with show bosses and is seriously considering going on. In a lot of ways, it’s perfect timing – she’s single, she has left Geordie Shore and she thinks she could do well on the show.
“Marnie and Charlotte came out of the house to loads of work offers and TV projects and Holly’s worried that with all the new reality stars, people will forget about her.
“She wants to be back on TV and raise her profile again.”
The 25-year-old star was put forward for the three years ago show, but she claimed bosses turned her down because she wasn’t “sexy” enough for screen time.
She said last year: “I’ve interviewed for it twice, but they didn’t like how I looked.
“The first time was three years ago. I had red hair and I was bigger, so I didn’t have the sexy image they wanted. The second time I had brown hair and I’d lost weight, but I’d grown up and they said, ‘She’s not the girl we met two years ago.’ ”
Not much is known about the forthcoming series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ but it’ll hit screens on January 2, 2018, and will see an all-female cast head into the iconic house in commemoration of 100 years since women won the right to vote.
A statement from Channel 5 said: “Presented by Emma Willis, ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ will initially explore how the all-female housemates interact, from politicians to performing artists, as they enter the house first, ahead of the celebrity male housemates. Over the course of the series, as the male counterparts enter the house, the housemates will take part in a series of entertaining tasks and hidden experiments which will test their – and our – assumptions, challenge gender stereotypes and reveal fascinating truths about what it is to be a woman – and man – in the 21st century.”

Jeremy Clarkson’s penis is ‘too big’ for Porsche

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Clarkson thinks his penis is “too big” for him to drive a Porsche.
The ‘Grand Tour’ presenter – who hosts the show alongside his close friends James May and Richard Hammond – thinks the flash vehicles are “really nice” but he could never get one because his manhood would get trapped under the low steering column.
Speaking to German press, the 57-year-old petrol head said: “I just do not like Porsche because the other two jerks like Porsche. Every time I sit in a 911 [sports car] I think this a really nice car but my penis is too big for a 911.”
Jeremy has just got back behind the wheel after spending the summer months in hospital with pneumonia, which he contracted while holidaying in Majorca, Spain, with his family, and is now shooting the next series of the motoring series with his buddies.
However, although they share a close bond, James has admitted he has “no real desire” to spend any more time with Richard or Jeremy than he has to.
The 54-year-old television presenter said recently: “Outside of work, we don’t meet up. It’s very rare. I’ve spent so much time with them by the time we get to the end of work. I have no real desire spend any more with them! I have other friends and a woman waiting at home who loves me. And that’s preferable!”
But, although they have a laugh and a joke, James was shook up when Richard was involved in a horrific crash earlier this year, which saw the car burst into flames.
James added: “After he had been pulled out of it. It [the car] caught fire. He had the crash after the finish line so nobody was really filming that bit as that’s not normally where anything interesting happens.
“There’s enough to see that it’s alarming. I was the last man standing. He [Richard] couldn’t and Jeremy was lying on a bed somewhere on a ventilator [with pneumonia].”

Katie Price tells Holly Willoughby she’s losing too much weight

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Price thinks Holly Willoughby needs to stuff her face with cake because she’s losing “too much weight.”
The 39-year-old former glamour model – who is a teeny UK size 6 – dropped jaws when ‘This Morning’ cut to ‘Loose Women’ for a teaser of today’s (12.12.17) show and she felt the need to tell the blonde presenter that she’s wasting away and needs to gorge on the delicious calorific treat the panellists were tucking in to earlier.
Ruth Langsford told Holly and Phillip: “We have something interesting to try, Christmas cake with cheese.”
Keen to be centre of attention, Katie said: “I don’t really like Christmas cake, but I’ll try it.”
She then let her tongue run away with itself as she added: “But Holly I think this is for you because you’re losing too much weight.”
Clearly taken back by the remark, the 36-year-old host – who is thought to be a size 10 – said through a grin: “Thanks!”
Holly’s slim physique has been the hot topic of conversation over the past year or so – with some fans claiming she’s lost too much weight – but she’s adamant she’s healthy and has managed to drop a few pounds because she has more time for herself now.
Holly – who has three children; Harry, eight, Belle, six, and Chester, three, with her husband Daniel Baldwin – said recently: “I think you sort of get – the children are a little bit older, so I’ve got a little bit more time for myself. And I’m always one of those people that if you feel happy and healthy that’s all that matters.”
It’s believed she does Pilates at home with her personal trainer but Holly refuses to divulge too much information regarding her fitness regime and healthy eating plans because she doesn’t want to encourage eating disorders.
She said: “I don’t want to encourage eating disorders. I try not to focus too much on my appearance. As long as I’m being healthy, that’s good enough for me.”

Lord Sugar loses 19lbs within two months

OHMYGOSSIP — Lord Sugar beat his long-time rival Piers Morgan in their charity weight loss challenge – shedding an incredible 19lbs within just two months.
The ‘Good Morning Britain’ host agreed to cough up £5,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital live on air today (12.12.17) after he lost his bet, which the warring pair set earlier this year, against the business magnate because he only lost 8lbs in total.
However, the 52-year-old presenter wasn’t too disheartened as he was surprised he’d lost any weight and was pleased to stump up the cash for the children’s hospital.
He quipped: “I am staggered I have lost any weight. It will prob get me a DVD deal.”
However, the ‘Apprentice’ boss – who confessed he had gone on 40-mile cycle rides every other day while living in Florida – showed his generous side as he asked bosses to also bring out his £5,000 cheque as he wanted the hospital to have it instead.
He said: “I’m so pleased, bring me my cheque also… you can have that one also.”
Although the pair seemed pleased with their efforts, the show’s medical professional Dr Hilary dealt them the final blow as she told them they were both “still overweight.”
She added: “Can I give you some bad news? You’re both still overweight.”
The pair shook hands on a £5,000 bet back in September to see who could lose the most weight by the ‘Apprentice’ final in December – with the proceeds going to charity.
Lord Sugar, 70, said at the time: “Is there a set of scales here?
“You weigh in, I weight in, I’ll come back for the ‘Apprentice’ final in December, and we’ll see who’s lost the most amount of weight.”
The bet came about after Lord Sugar branded Piers a “beached whale” during a huge television showdown on the breakfast show eight weeks ago.
He said at the time: “On social media, you were prancing around in the summer, looking like a beached whale.”
