Mark Hamill wanted to play Star Wars

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Hamill thinks it would have been “much more fun” to play Darth Vader in ‘Star Wars’.
The 66-year-old actor plays Luke Skywalker in the science fiction franchise and whilst he thinks it may have been more fun to play Darth Vader or C-3PO, he likes playing “bland” Luke because he is the “one centred character” to be a contrast to all the other characters.
He said: “When I first read the screenplay of ‘A New Hope’, I felt it would be much more fun to play the cynical pirate who’s always making wisecracks or Darth Vader, who has such an interesting role, or C-3PO, who is hilarious. Luke is so bland! He doesn’t have as much colour as the other characters.
“But it’s like Dorothy in ‘The Wizard of Oz’ – there has to be one centred character to provide contrast to all the other characters around them, even if I would rather play the Cowardly Lion or the Tin Man or even The Wizard than Dorothy. And Luke makes people feel at ease. He’s not scary like a pirate. He’s not spectacularly talented or super intelligent, he is just an average farm boy. And that is a nice thing.”
And the ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ actor loves how ‘Star Wars’ fans have such a “personal investment” in his character.
He added to the Metro newspaper: “People have such a personal investment in Luke and it’s very moving, in a way, because people feel like you are a part of their family. Over the years, I’ve been taken aback and astonished by how much these films have impacted on people’s lives. People will say how they have overcome adversity they had with physical disabilities thanks to these films, or ‘I met my wife standing in the line for ‘Star Wars’ and we named our son Luke.'”

John Boyega always checks Star Wars character’s fate

OHMYGOSSIP — John Boyega always skips to the end of the ‘Star Wars’ scripts to make sure he survives to the next movie.
The ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ actor plays Finn in the science fiction film franchise and has confessed that when he first gets the script, he rushes to the end to see whether his character makes it out alive.
He admitted: “It naturally happens, it’s part of the creative process. And the director’s job is to collaborate with his actors and reading the script and giving honest feedback is a part of it. It’s something that was scary as I like to go to the end of the script and just see what happens and just see if I survive first.”
In one scene, Boyega finds his character going head to head with Captain Phasma, played by Gwendoline Christie, and he revealed she is a “formidable fighter”.
He added: “Gwendoline has a Mohammed Ali reach and her speed is actually ridiculous. So for someone like me, I rather dodged that because I like my face. Gwen’s a formidable fighter, she knows what she’s doing, she really does.
“We trained with each other and got really close in the process because with training, you see each other in pain and how you hurt each other or you’re doing these fight coordinations. It was pretty cool but challenging.”
Boyega was separated from Daisy Ridley, who plays Rey, for most of the movie and admits it was tough as they had been side by side throughout their ‘Star Wars’ journey so far.
Speaking on ITV’s This Morning, he shared: “What’s different right now is that Rey is off with Luke Skywalker doing all her Jedi stuff and Finn is obviously unconscious and recovering from a battle scar from his fight with Kylo Ren. He’s at a different place, he has to figure out what side he is on …
“I felt bad, it felt c***p [when he found out they wouldn’t be working so close together]. Daisy and I had auditioned together, we had built a support system and to see that separated was disappointing but it was good for the characters.”

Mark Hamill got ‘choked up’ watching late Carrie Fisher on screen

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Hamill “got really choked up” watching the late Carrie Fisher on screen in ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’.
The 66-year-old actor – who plays Luke Skywalker – admits it was tough seeing his late co-star star as General Leia Organa in the movie as she is “still so alive” in his mind.
He said: “I got really choked up, it’s hard to see Carrie. She is so wonderful. She is still so alive in my mind.”
Mark was more involved with the most recent movie compared to ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ and admits he “didn’t recognise” his character when he first read the script.
Speaking to Good Morning Britain at the European premiere of ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’, held at London’s Royal Albert Hall, he added: “They have come up with a Luke that when I read the script, I didn’t recognise.”
It comes after Mark Hamill thanked ‘Star Wars’ fans for helping him “get through” the days in the wake of Carrie’s passing.
He admitted: “She was one of a kind, obviously. We’ll never replace her. And it’s comforting, because even though it’s been really hard and I don’t even know that I’ve come to terms with it yet, it’s felt by all of us. I mean you’re all helping me get through it, because even if you didn’t know her personally, she felt like family. So everywhere I go, people are helping me deal with it.
“I shouldn’t be upset that she’s not around, I should be grateful for all the time I had with her. I’ve known her since she was 19, and she was hilarious, and adorable, as tough as she acted she had a sort of vulnerability. She was sort of like a little girl, I was protective of her. I would criticise her all the time, but if anybody else criticised her I’d get my back up and say ‘Don’t say that!’. But she was so much fun, and you’re going to love her tonight, she’s just great in the film.”

Jennifer Lawrence for Luca Guadagnino’s Burial Rites

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lawrence will star in Luca Guadagnino’s ‘Burial Rites’.
The 27-year-old actress has signed up for the movie, which is based on the story detailed in Hannah Kent’s 2013 novel of the same name.
The story is based on Agnes Magnúsdóttir, played by Lawrence, who was the last woman to be publicly executed in Iceland back in 1830. She was sentenced to meet her end after she killed two men and set fire to their home, with the story itself picking up when Agnes is waiting to get confirmation from the high court that she will be sentenced to death. During that time, she finds herself forging bonds with others as she reflects on just what she was have supposed to have done.
Lawrence will take the leading role but will also produce whilst TriStar Pictures has worldwide rights for the movie. Allison Shearmur (The Hunger Games, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) and Justine Ciarrocchi will also produce and Gary Ross and Jerry Kalajian will executive produce.
TriStar president Hannah Minghella said in a statement: “Luca is a rare talent. His movies capture an exquisite sense of place inextricably linked to the emotional state of the complex characters he creates. I can’t imagine a more thrilling partnership than Luca and Jennifer coming together to bring Agnes’ beautiful and tragic story to life.”
Whilst Shearmur added: “Luca Guadagnino is a masterful storyteller who brilliantly captures the nuance of the human condition in his films. I cannot wait for him to bring his original voice to the raw, visceral brutality, and poetry of Hannah Kent’s haunting true story of Agnes Magnúsdóttir, the last woman to be publicly executed in Iceland for the murder of two men. Jennifer Lawrence, Justine Ciarrocchi, and I love this project and we could not be more excited by the way it is coming together with Hannah Minghella’s passion and drive to get it done at TriStar.”

Woody Harrelson set to join Venom

OHMYGOSSIP — Woody Harrelson is in talks to join the cast of ‘Venom’.
The 56-year-old actor is wanted for a role in Sony Picture’s new superhero movie based on the iconic ‘Spider-Man’ villain as a “henchman of sorts” but other details of his role are not known.
Ruben Fleischer is helming the film from a script penned by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinker which means Harrelson would be reunited with his ‘Zombieland’ director if he lands a role.
Harrelson is back in blockbuster territory with his last few roles, seen this year as The Colonel in ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ and in May he will be back on the big screen in ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’. He will next be seen in ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’.
‘Venom’ already boasts an all-star cast which includes Tom Hardy as the titular character, Riz Ahmed, Michelle Williams and Jenny Slate.
The movie will be focused around Eddie Brock – the first character to become the alien symbiote in the Marvel comic books after Spider-Man discards the black suit he discovers is actually a living being – it marks the first time an enemy of Spidey will be getting their own standalone movie, however, the character did appear in Sam Raimi’s ‘Spider-Man 3’ with the character being played by Topher Grace.
The symbiote, created by David Michelinie and artists Todd McFarlane and Mick Zeck, was first introduced in print in 1988 and is still a fan favourite villain and has appeared in other Marvel Comics including Iron Man, Deadpool and the Hulk.
Sony’s version of the character will be more of an antihero than a villain.
Shooting on the project has started and ‘Venom’ is due to hit cinemas in October 2018.

Jack Black impressed by Dwayne Johnson’s buffalo meals on Jumanji

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Black says his ‘Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle’ co-star Dwayne Johnson had buffalo meat and rice cooked for him whenever he wanted it when they were shooting the movie.
The two actors star in the new fantasy film and Black, 48, was intrigued as to what Johnson, 45, did to have such an incredible physique and picked his brains for tips to get in shape.
And the comedy star was impressed by how much dietary knowledge the part-time WWE wrestler, known as The Rock in the ring, had and the fact that he had special meals at all times on set.
Speaking to the new issue of ShortList magazine, Black shared: “[I said,] ‘I wanna look like you, bro. What are you eating right now?’ He goes, ‘Just some protein.’ ‘What have you got there? That looks pretty delicious – is that steak chunks in gravy?’ ‘No, this is buffalo. It’s a lean meat. And just some white rice.’ ‘I would have thought brown rice for you.’ ‘No no no. White rice – it burns cleaner.’ He really knows his stuff.
“Any time that he needed some f***ing buffalo and white rice – it was happening. I need a buffalo guy in the wings.”
Black and Johnson star in the movie with Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and Nick Jonas and it is inspired by the 1995 original starring the late Robin Williams.
Black has teased the new adventure is a continuation of that story set 20 years later.
The ‘School of Rock’ star said: “It’s not a reboot. It’s so different, but it is kind of a continuation of the story 20 years later. The game itself evolves, It’s like the game is a living organism and it moves into current day where kids don’t play board games anymore. Kids are on their iPads and playing their video games. It morphs for the times.
“I thought what was cool about that first one was he’s in the game and he pops out of the game after 20 years, but you never see that, you’re never in the game in the jungle. And this time, we’re going into the game.”
The full interview with Jack Black appears in this week’s issue of ShortList (Shortlist.com/entertainment/films/jack-black-jumanji-interview/337484) out Wednesday (13.12.17).

Daisy Ridley’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi nerves

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Ridley was “nervous” filming ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ as she didn’t have close pal John Boyega on set with her.
The 25-year-old actress formed a close bond with her co-star on the set of the seventh instalment of the movie franchise ‘The Force Awakens’ in 2015, as their characters Rey and Finn spent a lot of time together.
But after being separated at the end of the movie, the upcoming eighth venture sees the pair spend the movie apart, and Daisy has admitted she struggled learning to “trust” her new on-screen partner, franchise veteran Mark Hamill.
Speaking at the European premiere for the movie at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday (12.12.17), she said: “I was nervous going in, because John and I were no longer together, and John is my peanut. So I think more than anything, [I learned] to put your trust in those around you and it’ll all turn out pretty well. Putting my trust in Mark and Rian [Johnson, the movie’s director] mainly, was wonderful.”
Daisy also admitted that she felt “more nervous” going into her second ‘Star Wars’ venture than she did in 2015, because she wasn’t sure how to replicate her past performance.
Asked if she found it any easier the second time around, she said: “I actually felt more nervous because I didn’t know what I was doing the first time around, and you kind of think, how am I supposed to do something again when I didn’t know what I did the first time? And I think because people responded so well to John and I together that was a big thing too, thinking how are people going to respond when we’re not together. So it was nerve-wracking. But again, as relationships grow and you start to get comfortable, it settles into a wonderful six months.”
But the brunette beauty was able to find comfort in the movie’s director, Rian Johnson.
She said: “He’s the chillest guy in the world. He wrote the script and he was chill, and then we went into production and he was chill, just with his crossword on set. And then like he wrapped the picture early and he was chill, and he’s still … I’m sure he’s here being chill somewhere.
“He’s wonderful. He’s very comforting, he has a very comforting presence to have as our captain of the ship.”

Rian Johnson excited for Star Wars: The Last Jedi

OHMYGOSSIP — Rian Johnson is “so excited” for fans to see the finished product of ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ when it hits screens this week.
The 43-year-old director helmed the eighth instalment of the popular sci-fi franchise, which is set to be released on Friday (15.12.17), and has admitted he can’t contain his excitement at the prospect of being able to watch the finished product alongside legions of fans.
Speaking at the European premiere of the movie at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday (12.12.17), Rian said: “Well, ‘Star Wars’ fans are the best fans in the world, man. I’ve been a ‘Star Wars’ fan my whole life, and I’m so excited to sit down and watch a new ‘Star Wars’ movie with you guys. I’m talking directly to [the fans] now, I hope you guys enjoy it.”
Rian’s addition to the movie saw him take over the reigns from J.J. Abrams who had helmed the first instalment of the new trilogy – and seventh movie in the main series – ‘The Force Awakens’ in 2015.
And the filmmaker has said his first job was to develop the newly introduced characters such as Rey, played by Daisy Ridley, and Finn, played by John Boyega.
He said: “I loved the characters that were created in ‘The Force Awakens’ so much and these actors who brought them to life, so I just started with them. The job of this movie was to take each one of the characters, draw them forward, and figure out what makes them tick, and figure out what their next step was. And when you have an amazing cast like this, it makes it a joy to write for.”
Rian then had room to add in a few new characters – such as DJ (Benicio Del Toro), Rose Tico (Kelly Marie Tran), and Amilyn Holdo (Laura Dern) – whom he says he is “proud” to have had the chance to work with.
Asked if adding in new characters was easy, Rian said: “Yeah, because we had a big cast already in place, there was just room for a couple of new additions, and we got some spectacular ones. Benicio, and Laura, and Kelly, I think they are just amazing new additions to whole ‘Star Wars’ world, and I’m pretty proud to have worked with them.”
The director – who was previously known for helming 2012 movie ‘Looper’ – had the best time on set, and says his time with the franchise has been an “amazing experience”.
He said: “Every single day there was something that made me think ‘Oh my god, I can’t believe I’m here’. But I’ll tell you the best part, at the end of the day the best part was getting to work with these actors. And just this amazing experience of working on this movie and all the folks I got to meet, all the new folks I got to become friends with. That was the best thing about it.”

Sandra Martin is lined up for Celebrity Big Brother

OHMYGOSSIP — Sandra Martin is reportedly being lined up for ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The ‘Gogglebox’ star is expected to enter the famous house in just under three weeks’ time after she was persuaded to take part by her former co-star Sandi Bogle – who did the show last summer – and she’s hoping to achieve the same success as her.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Sandra is heading into the house – she’s heard a lot about it from Sandi and after Sandi’s success on the show, she wants to try it out herself. She’s outgoing, not afraid to speak her mind and wants to grow her profile, so she’ll be great in the house. Sandi told her it’s one of the best things she’s ever done.”
Not much is known about the new series of ‘CBB’ but it’ll hit screens on January 2, 2018, and will see an all-female cast head into the iconic house in commemoration of 100 years since women won the right to vote.
A statement from Channel 5 said: “Presented by Emma Willis, ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ will initially explore how the all-female housemates interact, from politicians to performing artists, as they enter the house first, ahead of the celebrity male housemates. Over the course of the series, as the male counterparts enter the house, the housemates will take part in a series of entertaining tasks and hidden experiments which will test their – and our – assumptions, challenge gender stereotypes and reveal fascinating truths about what it is to be a woman – and man – in the 21st century.”

Charlotte Crosby changes number

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlotte Crosby has changed her number so her ex-boyfriend Stephen Bear can’t contact her.
The former ‘Geordie Shore’ star has reportedly thrown away her iphone and is keeping her contact details close to her chest because she doesn’t want the ex-‘Celebrity Big Brother’ hunk to reach out to her via social media or text messages while she’s trying to move on from him.
A source told The Sun Online: “Charlotte wants to cut off contact with her ex Bear and make a fresh start without him.
“She’s got a new number and a phone without apps so he can’t DM her. He was calling all the time to stay friends but she’s never going to be able to move on if they carry on talking.”
It was rumoured that the on/off couple had decided to give their relationship another go but the 27-year-old heartthrob is adamant they’re just friends because it’s the “best way” for now.
He said: “We’re just friends, I’m single, she’s single, we’re just mates and I think that’s the best way for now. She’s cool, she’s funny, she makes me laugh, she was a great girlfriend, but it just didn’t work and we broke up, and now I don’t want to rush into anything. We message each other just once in a while, we don’t talk about anything that serious, but we get on.”
And, although he just wants to be pals with Charlotte, Stephen – who is known simply as Bear – doesn’t feel ready to start dating again because it believes that would be “disrespectful”.
He said: “Never say never I suppose, but for now we’re just talking and just friends, we just talk about general stuff, whatever. It’s always sad when couples split though. I think people loved the love story, but in reality all couples have arguments and nothing’s perfect. We’ll always be friends though. I’m just not ready to date at the moment, to sit next to anyone and start talking to them, or start ringing people up and asking to do something.
“I was in a relationship for so long, I find it quite disrespectful to start dating this soon.”

Coronation Street’s Carla Connor to return with big secret

OHMYGOSSIP — Coronation Street’s Carla Connor is set to return with a big “secret.”
The tough-talking business woman – played by Alison King – is set to make an explosive return to the cobbles over the next few weeks but the 44-year-old actress has admitted fans will probably be shocked to see a more vulnerable side to her alter ego.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, she said: “She’s different because of a secret she’s keeping, so over the next few months we will see a more vulnerable Carla who needs her family and friends more than ever. She’s at a stage where she’s starting to think about life – and her secret is making her take stock.
“In the past two years, she has acquired a family that she didn’t know she had. Prior to that she was a bit of a lone wolf; she had people like Michelle [McDonald, Kym Marsh] around her, but suddenly she had a family she really cared about.”
Alison quit the long-running soap last year because she wanted to spend time with her eight-year-old daughter but she’s had enough and feels ready to go back.
She said: “I’ve been away about a year-and-a-half. I had done what I wanted to do and spent time with my daughter Daisy and we had a great time; I was there for her and I hadn’t really had time to do that before. That is the most rewarding thing – but it was time for me to have the adult banter again.”
And, although she’s been away for a while, she had no trouble getting back into character and she was overcome with joy when she saw her old cast mates again.
She added: “It was like pulling on an old sock or an old pair of stilettos. My first two scenes were on location. I got butterflies from the excitement of seeing everyone.”

Peter Kay cancels upcoming tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Kay has cancelled all of his forthcoming work commitments.
The 44-year-old comedian was due to kick off a mammoth tour in April next year – his first on-the-road gig in eight years – and conclude in March 2019 but he’s been forced to scrap all of the 100 dates “due to unforeseen family circumstances.”
Taking to his social networking sites, he wrote in a statement: “Due to unforeseen family circumstances, I deeply regret that I am having to cancel all of my upcoming work projects. This includes my upcoming stand-up tour, Dance for Life shows and any outstanding live work commitments.
“My sincerest apologies. The decision has not been taken lightly and I’m sure you’ll understand that my family must always come first. I’ve always endeavoured to protect my family’s privacy from the media. I hope that the media and the public will continue to respect our privacy at this time. Once again, I’m very sorry.”
The statement went on to confirm that fans will be refunded for the Live Arena Tour – providing they contact their original point of purchase – as will those who want their money back for the Dance for Life show, but he did stress that it’s a charity event.
The funny man last hit the road in 2010 when he toured ‘The Tour That Doesn’t Tour Tour… Now On Tour’ – which broke the Guinness World Record for the biggest selling comedy tour of all time – and recently admitted he couldn’t wait to get back on stage.
He said: “I really miss it. I know how lucky I am to be making television series and have really loved these past few years working on ‘Car Share’ but I miss doing stand-up. As terrifying as it is, when it works there’s nothing more fun and exciting. Plus, a lot has happened in the last eight years, with Trump, Twitter and my Nan getting her front bush trimmed at the age of 96. I can’t wait to get back up on stage.”

Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay aren’t speaking after split

OHMYGOSSIP — Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay haven’t spoken since they split.
The ‘Love Island’ stars released a joint statement last week confirming they were ending their four-month romance, and the 21-year-old beauty admitted she hasn’t been in touch with her former lover since they had a conversation about going their separate ways.
She told new! magazine: “We had this one phone conversation where we agreed it was best not to be together and we haven’t spoken since then.”
Amber doesn’t think she and Kem are “compatible” but claims their romance fizzled out because they were too busy to spend any quality time together.
She said: “We’re both really upset but when we came out of the villa, our lives became so busy and we just didn’t make time for each other.
“The relationship is easily lost if you don’t work at it. It was a mutual decision to split.
“I still care for him, but in terms of the relationship, we’re not compatible.”
And Amber has dismissed claims Kem’s training for ‘Dancing On Ice’ put more strin on their relationship.
She said: “He’d been practising for a while and it definitely didn’t affect us.”
Instead, Amber is pleased Kem can focus on his commitment to the show without worrying about her.
She added: “I’m glad Kem can now do hours of training without worrying about when he’ll see me. He can fully concentrate on it. I wish him all the best.”
And the brunette beauty has been hanging out with her pals and getting in shape to get over the break up.
She said: “I’ve been spending a lot of time with my girls since Kem and I broke up. Being with them stops me over-thinking things…
“Liv’s said we can party to distract me but I don’t want to deal with the split that way. I’d rather train or go home to see my family…
“My way of getting over a break-up is working out. IT takes my mind off things and releases emotional stress.”

ITV’s Victoria gets third series

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Victoria’ has been commissioned for a third series.
Jenna Coleman [Queen Victoria] and her real-life boyfriend Tom Hughes [Prince Albert] will both reprise their roles for the next instalment of the popular period drama, which will depict the British monarchy’s struggle through the 1848 revolution.
Teasing “more drama than ever before”, the ITV show’s creator Daisy Goodwin said: “Series three will start in 1848 which was a hugely dramatic and eventful time for both the royal family and Europe, with revolutions on the continent and uncertainty around the monarchy.
“Viewers can expect more drama than ever before in the third series.”
It comes after showrunner Daisy said the programme has the potential to “go on and on”, and hinted that in the future there could be a new cast.
While she praised Jenna for her outstanding portrayal of the late royal alongside Tom, Daisy would love to see Helena Bonham Carter take on the role.
She said recently: “I hope the series can run through Victoria’s reign, I have thought about how it could continue … I mean, yes, it could run and run…
“[A cast reshuffle] could be possible, [but] I have to say it would be very hard to top Jenna Coleman. I think it kind of depends really on the appetite of the public.
“Helena Bonham Carter would be good.. [But] for now I can only think of Jenna.”
On how the third instalment would pan out, she added: “If there were to be a series three, it would include the revolution which was sweeping across Europe, in 1848, and Victoria and Albert think they’re going to lose their throne.
“Albert and Victoria will face a very difficult path emotionally, and personally.
“And there will be lots of surprises, and new characters that you might not know about, and that people won’t be expecting. And an interesting new political dynamic.
“I think it will be will all change.”
It’s not yet known when the new series will air, but there is the forthcoming Christmas Day (25.12.17) special for fans to look forward to.

Cara De La Hoyde gives birth to baby boy

OHMYGOSSIP — Cara De La Hoyde has given birth to a baby boy.
The ‘Love Island’ star and her ex-boyfriend Nathan Massey have become parents for the first time after the brunette beauty delivered their “beautiful” son today (13.12.17).
Taking to his Instagram account, Nathan uploaded a photo of Cara in labour alongside the caption: “The day has finally come !!!! Myself and @cara_delahoyde have become parents to our beautiful baby boy !!! Massive hats off to Cara Who delivered our boy safely !!!!! #thenextchapter P.S I hope you don’t kill me for the pic Cara (sic)”
The estranged couple – who split up before they found out they were expecting a baby earlier this year – are yet to announce anymore details on their little bundle of joy.
Cara, 27, is yet to release a statement herself but simply uploaded a mother emoji.
The pair have no plans to get back together but Nathan, 25, is planning to move in with Cara for “a few nights a week” now that their little one has arrived into the world.
Cara said recently: “There are no plans to get back together right now, but he’ll stay over for a few nights a week when the baby arrives.
“We’d both be gutted if one of us started dating someone new – I always think of him as ‘my Nathan’ but we’re happy as we are and we get on brilliantly.”
While the pair, who got together in the 2016 series of ‘Love Island’, are no longer together, they’d love to have a reality show about their journey as new parents but Cara doesn’t think her life is as glamorous as that of fellow reality star mums Samantha Faiers and Binky Felstead.
She said: “Sam and Binky’s shows are wonderful, but Nathan and I wouldn’t be going to Beverly Hills or dining in Harrods, it’s all a bit fancy.
“I think a lot of couples would be able to relate to us as we’re so normal.
“I don’t have the ideal, picture-perfect family, but I’ve always wanted to be a mum so it feels like a dream come true.”

Sue Perkins unfollows Paul Hollywood on Twitter

OHMYGOSSIP — Sue Perkins has unfollowed Paul Hollywood on Twitter.
The ‘Great British Bake Off’ judge accused the 48-year-old presenter of “abandoning” the cooking show last year after she, Mary Berry and Mel Giedroyc quit the programme out of “loyalty” to the BBC when the rights to the format were swiped by Channel 4.
But, although the foursome have always claimed there was no bad blood between them, the brunette comedienne was clearly annoyed by the silver fox’s recent dig as she decided to cut him from her social networking site – even though he still follows her.
However, her publicist told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It was an accident and she very much still follows him.”
The 51-year-old celebrity baker came under fire last year when he announced that he was moving with the cooking show when Channel 4 bagged the rights as part of a mega-money deal, but he can’t understand why he was the one to get all the stick when it was his co-judge and presenters who had decided to walk away from the series.
He said: “The girls abandoned it. But I was the one put under siege. I became the most hated man in the country! It’s not fun for someone that doesn’t like being in the limelight. I didn’t set out to be on the telly, I set out to be a good baker. And I didn’t want this…”
Paul has admitted it wouldn’t take a lot for him to walk away from television.
He added: “If you give me a cheque, you’ll never see me again.”
Asked how big a cheque it would take, he replied: “Not much, to be honest.”
However, despite hitting the headlines when he revealed he was moving to Channel 4 because the tent – where the bakers prepare their delights – is where he “belongs”, it worked out well for Paul as he was given a new presenting team in the shape of Prue Leith – his co-judge – and Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding as the hosts.
And, although many were skeptical about the show’s new home, it has done well in the ratings, with 10 million people tuning in to see Sophie Faldo win the last series.
