Christopher Plummer almost retired before landing All The Money In The World role

OHMYGOSSIP — Christopher Plummer nearly retired before landing the John Paul Getty role in ‘All The Money In The World’.
The 88-year-old Hollywood legend replaced Kevin Spacey in the Sir Ridley Scott biopic after the ‘Seven’ actor was accused of a number of sexual assault allegations, but Plummer admitted he was contemplating ending his career before he got the call.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph newspaper, Plummer said: “I want to keep working in my fifth act, until I drop dead. You know, things were coming to an end, and I thought ‘I suppose I’ve got to retire now’, even though I didn’t want to. Then Ridley called me. When I read it, it was clear to me that it was a classic role. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.”
Unlike Spacey, Plummer revealed he didn’t have to wear any prosthetics for the role but because Getty was a “mysterious recluse” the actor had to use his imagination.
He said: “He was such a mysterious recluse, there’s very little on him. So even if I’d had all the time in the world, I wouldn’t have picked up anything much. There’s very little of it to be heard – just some poor recordings in a monotone. So I had to use my imagination.
“But I think we ended up getting a pretty close approximation of the character – without wearing ridiculous prosthetics, or anything like that.”
The film follows the kidnapping of 16-year-old John Paul Getty III (Charlie Plummer) and the desperate attempt by his devoted mother Gail (Michelle Williams) to convince his billionaire grandfather (Plummer) to pay the ransom.
Recently Williams and Mark Wahlberg, who stars as advisor and CIA operative Fletcher Chase, revealed they agreed to reshoot the scenes without being paid.

Sam Rockwell loves doing darker films

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Rockwell always wanted to do “darker stuff”.
The 49-year-old actor has starred in a number of comedy rolls but admitted he also enjoys playing more serious roles and is set to portray George W Bush in Adam McKay’s Dick Cheney biopic.
Speaking to The Guardian newspaper, Rockwell said: “I’ve always wanted to do darker stuff, but I like to be silly too.
“Though comedy also takes it out of you. I mean, it’s not digging ditches, but mentally.
“You do 16-hour days, with a deadline. Working with Adam McKay and playing George W Bush, with Christian Bale as Dick Cheney… that’s responsibility, you know? You gotta have a beer at the end of the week.”
Rockwell is now starring alongside Frances McDormand and Woody Harrelson in the new Martin McDonagh movie ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’, and he has nothing but praise for the filmmaker.
He said: “I put him [McDonagh] up there with David Mamet, Quentin Tarantino, Harold Pinter, Sam Shepard, Kenny Lonergan.
“His writing is astounding. And now he’s this amazing film director. He’s made three pretty f**king good movies, and this is probably his best.
“I’m not embarrassed to tell you I’ve seen it more than once. I’m so proud of it.
“It’s easy, working with Martin. I’ll be nervous to read in front of him for the first time.
“I work with coaches and do my homework, so I’m usually pretty prepared. Then he’ll make little adjustments like the hair. But it’s never, like, ‘you’re way off the mark’.
“He casts the right people, ultimately.”
Rockwell won the Supporting Actor award at the Golden Globes on Sunday (07.01.18) and has been nominated for a BAFTA for his role as Jason Dixon in the new movie and said he enjoys “rubbing shoulders” with other celebrities.
He said: “It’s fun. It’s nice to get props, but you can take the piss out of it all at the same time.
“There are moments of enjoyment when you’re rubbing shoulders with a mentor like Gary Oldman.
“That’s a kick. Tom Hanks, who I’ve worked with. Meryl Streep. Judi Dench.”

Joe Wright identified with Winston Churchill

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Wright found he identified with Winston Churchill.
The 45-year-old filmmaker has helmed the new wartime movie ‘The Darkest Hour’ – starring Gary Oldman as the Prime Minister – but when Wright first started out making the film, he found that he had some similarities with Churchill.
In an interview with Time Out London magazine, Wright said: “It’s not like Churchill’s been a hero of mine, but I was sent this screenplay and was shocked to find myself identifying with him.
“He was a man who had made a lot of mistakes, and then found himself in this position of extraordinary responsibility.
“He suffered an immense crisis of confidence, and then was able to turn that around and overcome. Also the responsibility of parenthood and marriage, and being a man. In this movie, Churchill [represents] an aspect of me. And then I put more of myself into the screenplay, those elements of self-doubt.”
‘The Darkest Hour’ tells the story at the beginning of World War II as within days of becoming Prime Minister, Churchill must face one of his most turbulent and defining moments of the conflict: exploring a negotiated peace treaty with Nazi Germany, which could guarantee Britain’s independence and that of the Commonwealth.
As the Nazi forces roll across Western Europe and the threat of invasion of the UK, Churchill must resist attempts by his own political party and an initially sceptical King George VI, to stand firm against the dangers facing his country and not buckle to the Nazis.
The film has received critical acclaim and Oldman recently won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture and has been nominated for a BAFTA in the Leading Man category.

Martin McDonagh always wanted Frances McDormand for Three Billboards

OHMYGOSSIP — Martin McDonagh always knew he wanted Frances McDormand to play Mildred Hayes in ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’.
The 47-year-old filmmaker helmed the new black comedy and McDonagh has claimed he would have been “f***ed” if McDormand – who just won a Golden Globe for her performance and is now nominated for a BAFTA – didn’t say yes to the role.
Speaking to Time Out London magazine, McDonagh said: “There isn’t anyone else who could play Mildred. There isn’t anyone with that same integrity and forcefulness. We’d have been f***ed if she hadn’t said yes!”
The film follows the months after the murder of teenager Angela (Kathryn Newton) and there is still no culprit.
As a result, her mother Mildred Hayes (McDormand) makes a bold move by painting three signs leading into the town with controversial messages directed at police chief William Willoughby (Woody Harrelson).
When Willoughby’s second-in-command Officer Jason Dixon (Sam Rockwell) gets involved, the battle is only exacerbated.
Although the film has received critical acclaim and has an Oscar buzz surrounding it, the ‘In Bruges’ filmmaker knew his leading lady would be the best actress of 2017.
He said: “You don’t want to just go under the radar, like ‘In Bruges’ did in America. We finished this last January and even then I was thinking, ‘I can’t believe anyone’s going to be better than Frances this year.’ ”

Zachary Levi says Shazam! is Superman meets Big

OHMYGOSSIP — Zachary Levi has described upcoming superhero film ‘Shazam!’ as “‘Superman’ meets ‘Big'”.
The 37-year-old actor – who is best known for his role in the comedy series ‘Chuck’ – is set to join the DC Extended Universe as the lead character, who is also known by the film’s title, and said he is “out of his mind excited!”
Levi also compared the new superhero flick to Tom Hanks’ 1988 comedy ‘Big’ – which sees 12-year-old Josh Baskin turn into a 30-year-old man after his wish comes true, but after adult life begins to overwhelm him, he longs to return back to a child.
Speaking to Collider, Levi said: “I can’t tell you much, as you can probably imagine, but what I can say is I am just out of my mind excited. I get to do my version of ‘Big’, basically. It’s like Superman meets ‘Big’, and that’s just so fun. I get to be a superhero that’s excited about being a superhero, and I think that’s refreshing. It’s not glum, and like ‘oh, I have to save the world again’. So I think it’s all gravy.”
The hero was created by C.C. Beck and writer Bill Parker back in 1939 and first appeared in Whiz Comics #2 a year later.
‘Shazam!’ follows Billy Batson, a boy who can transform into an adult superhero by uttering the magic word “Shazam!”.
The name is an acronym of the ancient world gods and historical figures: Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury.
The film will also star Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton and Mark Strong is reportedly on board to play the villain.
Levi also revealed he would love to see Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman make a cameo in the upcoming movie.
He said: “Wonder Woman, because she’s awesome. I think getting a cameo from anybody would be super cool, but I just think Gal Gadot is so effervescent.
“She has such a charm. And she seems like a really cool broad. Like, she was in the Israeli army.
“She’s a mom. And I’m like, ‘You seem like you’re grounded and cool, and you’re Wonder Woman, and you rock.’
“And I think it would be really funny to have the 14-year-old Billy Batson inside of Shazam that’s really awkward around this beautiful Amazonian.
“I just think that would be really awesome.”

Joanna Lumley ‘to replace Stephen Fry as BAFTAs host’

OHMYGOSSIP — Joanna Lumley is to replace Stephen Fry as the BAFTAs host.
The ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ star will take on the prestigious role after the 60-year-old comedian stepped down from the position last week after fronting 12 ceremonies.
Lumley was revealed to be hosting the awards ceremony on Tuesday (09.01.18) where she said: “Honestly how exciting is this? It’s just so unbelievably thrilling.
“I always thought of looking at the BAFTA film awards with just Stephen Fry there forever more. So who thought I would turn into Stephen Fry … Thrilling! It’s funny because I have been voting for BAFTA for so long and knowing that six and a half other people are voting for BAFTA and yet every year when you hear the list of nominations coming out some part of your heart is going, ‘Ooh I do hope,’ and sometimes you go ‘yes’ and sometimes you go, ‘Oh no they left that out.’ And so it’s always a terrific kind of turmoil of emotions. And I don’t have to be connected to that because I am above it all now. But I am thrilled and I want to thank BAFTA so much for asking me to do this. I said yes indecently quickly. And thank you. I will see you on the night.”
Fry quit his hosting role to let someone else take the ceremony onto “new heights and greater glories” and admitted he is looking forward to watching the 2018 spectacle without being as nervous as usual.
He said: “Every one of the twelve BAFTA film award ceremonies that I had the privilege of hosting has a place in my memory. The mixture of glamour, glory, drama and – occasionally – embarrassment and hiccup holds a unique place in the British film calendar.
“Over the last two decades I have especially loved watching the emergence of new young film talent behind and in front of the camera.
“But after so long a time I felt it only right to stand down and let others take the BAFTAs on to new heights and greater glories.
“What fun it will be to watch BAFTA 2018 without my heart hammering, mouth drying and knees trembling.”
Stephen took a break between 2007 and 2011 with Jonathan Ross taking over.
This year’s BAFTAs will take place at London’s Royal Albert Hall on February 18.

Kristen Bell enlists Dax Shepard to help with jokes for SAG Awards

OHMYGOSSIP — Kristen Bell has enlisted Dax Shepard to help her write jokes for the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
The ‘Frozen’ star will be hosting the SAG Awards on January 21 and has recruited her husband to help her pen some funny intros for the event.
She said: “I’m sure he’ll be helping. Living with a writer is so great because you can just ask them, ‘Is this funny?’ He’s a little bit of my secret weapon, but also one of my best friends is an amazing writer, so we brought her on the show. Monica Padman – she’s a comedian and helps me shape all these ideas and then I run it by Dax and then we hopefully have a show.”
And Kristen is really looking forward to the ceremony.
She quipped: “A lot of overwhelmingly funny moments with my kids inspire me to get out of my house and host this show, where I don’t have to wipe anyone’s butt cheeks hopefully! … When you have young kids, it’s so special to be with adults. People who you know you could ask a question and they just respond. Just the other day, I was watching my kids and one of their friends, and I got questions like, ‘Is Santa Claus real? Why is earth? Who made dogs?’ That’s a lot of pressure.”
Kristen is the first-ever host of the SAG Awards and is excited to be pioneering this new role.
She told Entertainment Tonight: “This is a bit of a blank slate because no one has ever done it before, so we’re gonna have some fun, but there’s a lot of ladies involved. [We’re] really celebrating and honouring every one of the actors, but we’re letting the women take center stage and attempt to balance the conversation a little bit. This might be ladies’ night.”

Vin Diesel in talks for Bloodshot film

OHMYGOSSIP — Vin Diesel is in talks to star in ‘Bloodshot’.
The 50-year-old actor is said to have entered early discussions about the project, which will be based on the Valiant Comics superhero character Bloodshot, from the comic book of the same name, created by Kevin Van Hook, Don Perlin and Bob Layton in 1992.
Insiders told The Wrap that Dave Wilson, who will direct, and Sony are keen to create a ‘Deadpool’ and ‘Logan’-style R-rated comic book adaptation for the big screen, which will also be influenced by the likes of ‘Terminator’ and ‘Robocop’.
Vin Diesel could reunite with ‘Fast and the Furious’ producer Neal Moritz on the motion picture because he is in line to produce alongside Dinesh Shamdasani.
Eric Heisserer is set to write the screenplay for the forthcoming film, which is aiming for a 2019 release.
Valiant could be the next big thing in comic book movies as the franchise has more than 2,000 superhero characters and has sold more than 80 million comics.
The character Bloodshot is a former soldier who is able to regenerate and has meta-morphing powers due to nanites being injected into his bloodstream, which contains a billion nanocomputers so he can recover from injuries quickly and shape shift, among other powers.
It looks set to be yet another busy year for Vin Diesel after he was named Forbes’ top grossing actor of 2017.
The ‘xXx’ star topped the list for the last 12 months with $1.6 billion, largely due to his appearance as Dominic Toretto in the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise.
His co-star Dwayne Johnson came in second place with $1.5 billion whilst Gal Gadot made an impressive $1.4 billion for her record breaking role in ‘Wonder Woman’.

Jonny Mitchell will have sex in Celebrity Big Brother house

OHMYGOSSIP — Jonny Mitchell is willing to have sex in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.
The ‘Love Island’ hunk won’t turn down the chance to get frisky in the famous abode if the opportunity arose, but he’s worried his “performance” won’t be up to scratch because he hasn’t got hot and heavy between the sheets for “weeks.”
He said: “With sex on TV you have to think about performance issues. I’ve not had sex for weeks so if I do have sex in the house, the pressure is really on. If it presents itself, I won’t say no like some weirdo – but I’d have to consider my options.
“I am fresh out of relationship. I know what it’s like in these environments. You spend a lot of time with people so I won’t rule anyone out.”
However, the 26-year-old businessman – who split up with his girlfriend Stephanie Pratt just before Christmas – won’t be worrying about his body on camera as he’s recently dropped a stone in weight after changing his diet and ditching the booze.
He explained: “I had to get rid of my man boobs and beer belly for the hot tub. There was no way I was going into that hot tub with man boobs and a beer belly! With ‘CBB’, there is nowhere to hide. If your body isn’t ripped, the cameras will show every ounce of fat so I was determined to get in great shape.”
Jonny – who weighed 14st 10lbs two months ago – teamed up with the health brand Forza Supplements, who devised a fitness programme to get him in perfect shape with the help of Forza Shake it Slim and Forza Raspberry K2 supplements.
Speaking just before entering ‘CBB’ last week, he said: “After leaving ‘Love Island’ I just let myself go. I was out partying most nights and then would eat junk food late at night and then the next day would comfort eat my way out of the hangover.
“My weight was out of control and was just short of 15 stone … The worst thing was my belly and I had a 37.5 inch waistline, but now only a month and a half later it’s down to a lean 34 inches, which is just right for my height and build.
“The guys at Forza gave me a meal plan and a workout regime and I’m absolutely thrilled with the results. I lost about 5lbs in the first week alone and then after that I started to gain muscle back again from all my trips to the gym.
“I was working out a lot to get in shape this quickly and I was going about six times a week with one rest day but you could easily do it with just two or three trips to the gym a week – it will just take you 12 weeks instead of six.
“I was really pleased that I totally got rid of my man boobs. My chest size is exactly what it was before but now it’s muscle and not fat.”
Jonny is an ambassador for health and wellbeing brand Forza Supplements and lost a stone in six weeks taking Forza’s Shake It Slim meal replacements and Forza Raspberry K2 supplements, which are also available at Boots and Holland & Barrett.

EastEnders’ Abi Branning to die next week

OHMYGOSSIP — EastEnders’ Abi Branning will die next week.
The wannabe vet – played by Lorna Fitzergald – has already been declared brain dead after she plunged from the roof of the Queen Victoria pub on Christmas Day (25.12.17), but her heartbroken father Max Branning (Jake Wood) is refusing to believe that there is “zero chance” of his little girl ever regaining consciousness.
However, after three weeks of trying to fight the doctors – even enlisting a lawyer to frighten them with a negligence lawsuit – Max will agree to switch off Abi’s life support machine in a heartbreaking episode to air next Friday (19.01.18).
And it’s not just the fellow residents of Walford devastated by the news, as fans will also no doubt draw a tear or two as they’ll be forced to say goodbye to the much-loved character as well as Lorna – who has played the role for 11 years – next week.
Viewers were left gripped to the edge of their seats two weeks ago when Abi and her sister Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) tumbled off the roof – the same way their half-brother Bradley Branning (Charlie Clements) died in 2010 – while trying to persuade their father Max not to take his own life after he plunged into depression.
Although Abi never regained consciousness, doctors did manage to save her unborn baby girl – who was born at 28 weeks – as they wanted to make sure the tiny tot was delivered quickly and safely in case the young mum went into cardiac arrest.
Lauren, on the other hand, was rushed into theatre to have emergency surgery on her back and, although the operation was a success, she still can’t walk.
Meanwhile, Lorna recently admitted that she’s sad to be leaving the soap after a decade on the square but she is “excited” about the future.
She said: “I’ve had a fantastic 11 yeas here, so I’m looking forward to what the future holds. I’m going to miss playing Abi though … I keep getting tagged in things on social media – like clips where Abi sings to a gerbil!
“Then there was a period when I was about 14 years old where I tried a side fringe and it just didn’t work! It was so bad I had to gel it down!”

Josie Gibson thought she was going to die during attack

OHMYGOSSIP — Josie Gibson thought she was going to die after she was punched in the face by a man sharing her taxi home on New Year’s Eve (31.12.17).
The former ‘Big Brother’ star has admitted she thought the man was going to “kill” her after he struck her across the face when she told him to get out of her taxi because he’d allegedly tried to sexually assault her friend Demi in the back seat.
Speaking to new! magazine, she said: “I can’t believe we let a monster like that get in a taxi with us. I honestly thought he was going to kill us.
“He was punching her like he was in a boxing ring. I grew up in a violent household and I forgot how disgusting it was see a man batter a woman like that.”
The scuffle occurred when Josie, 32, asked the taxi driver to pull over and get the man out after she noticed that he’d allegedly tried to put his hand up her pal’s skirt.
She explained to Closer magazine: “On the journey home he put his hand up my friend’s skirt – she told him to stop and we asked the taxi to pull over and told him to get out. It was then he started violently punching my friend.
“I was shouting at him to stop, then he started punching me in the head, before laying into my friend again. She was absolutely terrified – she only weighs 8st. How can a huge, muscular man do that to a small woman?”
Josie has even been forced to go back to the doctors because she’s been suffering with extreme headaches since the assault, while her friend is still in hospital.
She explained: “I’ve felt faint and had a constant headache since it happened, I’ve got a huge black eye. But my poor friend had it worse, she’s been in hospital and traumatised.”

Davina McCall won’t publicly discuss her marriage split

OHMYGOSSIP — Davina McCall and her husband Matthew Robertson have vowed not to discuss their split in public.
The 50-year-old TV presenter separated from the ‘Pet Rescue’ host in November 2017, but has revealed that they won’t discuss their split in public for the sake of their three children – daughters Holly and Tilly and son Chester.
Asked about the breakdown of her marriage by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on ITV’s ‘This Morning’, she explained: “Just for the record, because I think people might want to ask me about it … I know know, they would think it was weird if you didn’t. But for the sake of our kids, we’ve decided that we’re just never going to talk about us.
“Because we’ve got three kids, and they’re quite grown up and I … we just don’t want to talk about it in the public eye. So that’s what we’re doing.”
Davina also addressed an emotional message she recently posted on her Instagram account, in which she reached out to anyone “feeling lonely” over Christmas.
The TV host revealed that, contrary to assumptions, she spent the special day with her estranged husband for the sake of their children.
Clarifying her intentions with the video, Davina shared: “I’d done that before. But I guess, naively, I hadn’t really thought of the assumptions that would be made from making that video.
“I do always think about single people, people that are alone on those big days, like Valentine’s Day or Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve, when you’re supposed to be having the best time ever.
“And you look at Instagram and everybody is having the best time ever – they’re all probably lying. But it can be an incredibly lonely time, even if you’re with a huge group of people if you’re in the wrong head space or whatever.
“I thought I’d do a quick message and people took that as a cry for help that I was on my own. But, actually, Matthew and I decided for the kid’s sake that we’d all be together this Christmas. So we were actually all together and I wasn’t alone.”

Donna Air’s ice skates stolen

OHMYGOSSIP — Donna Air has had her ice skates stolen ahead of her first performance on ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The 38-year-old star is due to compete on the ITV show this Sunday (14.01.18) with her professional partner Mark Hanretty but was left distraught when she returned to her car after training at the gym on Monday (08.01.18) to discover it had been broken into and her skates and skate bag had been taken.
Donna has taken to Twitter to offer a reward for the return of her skates because they are moulded to her feet and any replacement pair won’t be ready in time for her routine this weekend.
She tweeted: “@metpoliceuk reward for anyone who FINDS my skates . I’m sure the thief would have dumped them somewhere as of no use to anyone but me ! moulded to my feet and impossible to replace for Sunday (sic)”
Scottish ice skater Mark, 32, has also posted a video pleading for the return of Donna’s skates and has started the hashtag #findDonnasskates on Twitter to try and find them.
In the video, he says: “Late last night Donna rang me really upset to tell me her car had been broken into while she was at the gym and her skates and skate bag have been taken. We have show day in five days and my partner has no skates, so bit of a disaster. I’m hoping and praying that the power of social media can recover Donna’s boots in time for us to train and compete in Sunday’s show, please, please, please.”
He has also tweeted: “Just seen the CCTV footage of Donna’s car being broken in to. Nasty work! Poor Donna upset & worries but we are off to do some skate shopping now! @dancingonice #findDonnasskates #dancingonice (sic)”

Stephanie Davis has new boyfriend

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis has a new boyfriend.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress was left heartbroken earlier this year when her ex-partner Jeremy McConnell – who is the father of her 11-month-old son Caben – assaulted her during a blazing row but, despite the drama she’s had to endure over the past year, she’s now found love again with a man called Jake, the Mirror reports.
The brunette beauty set tongues wagging last night (08.01.18) when she changed her display picture on Instagram to a photo of her new man with her legs draped over his body and a gushy quote about finding someone who makes her laugh.
The quote said: “&&so there’s this boy, And the way he laughs makes me smile, And the way he talks gives me butterflies, And everything about him, makes me happy (sic),” and she captioned it with the heart, heart eyes and the smiley face emoji.
Although the 24-year-old beauty is enjoying spending time with Jake, she has made it clear to him that Caben – who turns one next week – is her “main priority.”
A source said: “Stephanie has been on dates with someone new and loves having her life back. It is still early days but she has been enjoying being treated again.
“Her main priority is Caben but she’s really liked having some new male company – and this time it really feels like a fresh start.”
Her new man comes just two months after she was rumoured to be dating Ricky Rayment, but that seemingly came crashing down back in October.
A source said at the time: “They have been seeing each other – and things are going well. They speak a lot and are openly very flirty; it’s the start of something new for them and they’re both seeing how it goes.”
Stephanie met and fell in love with Jeremy, 27, while they were competing on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ at the beginning of 2016 but they split in March that year.
The actress then found out she was pregnant but Jeremy didn’t believe her until Caben was born in January 2017 and a paternity test confirmed he was the father.
They then attempted to give their relationship another go but split when Jeremy left her covered in bruises in March 2017. He was found guilty of assault in August.

Jodie Whittaker had one-page script for Doctor Who special

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Whittaker hadn’t read the script for the entire episode of the ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas special.
The 35-year-old actress made her debut in the festive instalment of the sci-fi series last month, and admits she had no idea how her first turn as the Time Lord would pan out, as she was just as surprised as viewers.
Speaking to the latest issue of Doctor Who magazine, which is on stands on Thursday (10.01.18), she said: “I didn’t read the rest of the episode because I was only given a page to go from, which was the moment that I become the Doctor.”
The former ‘Broadchurch’ star – who will appear later this year for the full series alongside Hollyoaks’ Mandip Gill, Tosin Cole and funnyman Bradley Walsh – also revealed that the colour of her trousers were chosen by herself after she suggested them to costume maker Ray Holman.
She said: “The first meeting I had about the costume was all very secret. As we were talking, I was distracted by the colour of the wallpaper behind us.
“I told Ray I loved it – and that’s the colour of the trousers.”
The brunette beauty has taken over the role from Peter Capaldi – who played the Doctor for four years – while Chris Chibnall has become the new show runner following Steven Moffat’s exit.
Jodie previously admitted she thinks it’s “f***ing brilliant” she’s able to create a milestone for ‘Doctor Who’, by becoming the first ever female to play the time-travelling alien, and has admitted it’s become a “defining moment” of her life because she wants to prove to the younger generation that role models come in “different forms.”
She said: “This is the defining moment of my life. I feel old enough for it. And I feel like I understand how important it is, and I’m so excited that the role models for young children, boys or girls… or teenagers, or adults, come in different forms.
“There’s nothing unattainable about me. I don’t look like I’ve been carved out of rock. I don’t sound like I’ve had the extraordinary glamour. For me, knowing what I thought were my limitations as a person and an actor, because this industry is about, ‘You sound like this, you look like this’… but I’m normal.”
