Gaz Beadle names son Chester

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary ‘Gaz’ Beadle has named his son Chester Raymond Beadle McVey.
The former ‘Geordie Shore’ star and his girlfriend Emma McVey welcomed their little boy into the world earlier this week and, after much deliberation, have come up with a moniker that they both agree on for the tiny tot and shared it on social media.
Captioning a picture of his son, Gaz wrote on Instagram: “Chester Raymond Beadle McVey. Chester not really sure why it kind of just came to us and we loved it… Raymond after my grandad of course. And a nice double barrel surname until we are married (sic)”
Chester was born on Monday (15.01.18) and the 29-year-old hunk couldn’t wait to gush over his new bundle of joy as he described him as “perfect.”
Taking to his Instagram account Gaz wrote: “WOW what a feeling no words can describe it meet our son he is perfect in every way and healthy weighing 6lbs 2 @emma_jane1392 is fine and did amazing… I am a dad can’t believe it… I cried I smiled I panicked but I will be there for him no matter what xxx (sic)”
Emma admitted last week that she had been dreaming about her baby being born with a “full set of teeth” because her midwife had told her she may have a harder birth.
She said at the time: “The more I think about it, the more I panic and worry it’s going to be horrific, so I think we’re just going to go with the flow.
“I would love a nice, quick and natural birth. I’d rather not have an epidural as the thought of it freaks me out, but one thing the midwife did say was that my hips are so small and narrow that it’s harder for birth but I’m not sure why. After they gave me that news I’ve been having really weird dreams, I dreamt the baby was born with a full set of teeth, hopefully that doesn’t happen, it would be a bit weird!”
Gaz and Emma have been dating since August 2016, but they briefly split in May 2017 after she branded him a “cheat and liar”, before they rekindled again.

Cheryl Baker treats Dan Whiston to breakfast in bed

OHMYGOSSIP — Cheryl Baker has been treating her ‘Dancing on Ice’ partner Dan Whiston to breakfast in bed.
The Bucks Fizz singer moved the professional skater into the home she shares with her husband Steve Stroud – with whom she has 23-year-old twin daughters Kyla and Natalie – while she’s competing on show because it gives them more time to practice their routines.
But she wants to make sure the sportsman is well watered and fed every day before training so she wakes him up with a tray of grub and then treats him to a cheese board in the evening.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Friday (19.01.18), Dan said: “It’s amazing, I have breakfast in bed, I had a Chinese the other night with the family. Come 8 o’clock I have a lovely cheese board. I’m not a very good cook but I did a lovely stir fry and then a cheese board to finish.
And the 63-year-old star is thoroughly enjoying having Dan around the place.
She added: “He’s like the brother I never had.”
But, although they’ve got a strong bond, the pair are struggling on the ice because Cheryl is anxious about hurting her spine after she was involved in an coach accident 34 years ago.
Cheryl – who was thrown through the windscreen of the bus while her band Bucks Fizz were on tour – explained: “I’m terrified of hurting my spine so I shove a back pad down my back. And it does soften the blow but I’m still suffering from my shoulder from that fall [on the ice during training a few weeks ago]. I’m still having physio all the time and it aches. He does all these lifts and I’m meant to put my arms above my head.”

Maria Fowler almost died during birth

OHMYGOSSIP — Maria Fowler almost died while giving birth to her daughter.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star has revealed it was touch and go for her while delivering her little girl Evie 16 months ago because she had to have an emergency C-Section because the then-tiny tot was wedged on her side.
Writing on her blog ‘MemoriesKeepEvolving’, the 31-year-old star said: “The consultant told me that Evie was in a position in which her head was bent sideways and in her opinion there was no way she could be born naturally. GUTTED.”
However, things went from bad to worse for the reality TV beauty as she has claimed the anaesthetist hadn’t administered enough medication to numb the area and she felt the consultant slice through her stomach with the surgical blade.
She explained: “As the surgeon started to make the incision to perform the C Section, I could feel everything, I screamed and told them this, and I could tell the surgeon was starting to feel anxious. The Anaesthetist administered more painkiller (or whatever it was) into my hand. When the surgeon went to continue making the incision, I could STILL feel everything.I tried my hardest not to show the pain but couldn’t control my legs bucking from the feeling of her making the incision.
“At this point she requested for kelvin (who was holding my hand) to leave the room and the General Anaesthetic to be done.”
Maria lost a lot of blood during the operation and had to have a blood transfusion because there was a “hole” in her placenta – and she still doesn’t feel “right.”
She said: “I’m still not right. It has been nearly 16 months now and my body somehow doesn’t feel my own. I also had a big wound from my placenta so lost half of my body’s blood and then had to have a blood transfusion in hospital.”
But Maria has admitted she struggles most with the fact she missed the first 12 hours of her daughter’s life because she was so drowsy as a result of the GA.
She added: “The first memory that I can remember was seeing Evie is 3pm (ish) in the afternoon- Evie was born 1.32am, so as you can imagine it is deeply upsetting to know I have missed the memories of over 12 hours of our daughters start to life.”

Charley Webb won’t quit Emmerdale yet

OHMYGOSSIP — Charley Webb won’t quit ‘Emmerdale’ until her children are a bit older.
The 29-year-old actress – who portrays Debbie Dingle in the soap – has admitted she’d love to spread her wings and try something new in the future but, for now, she enjoys how easy her job fits around her two children Buster, seven, and Bowie, two.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Friday (19.01.18), she said: “I’d love to go and do other things and when the time is right, I will do but right now I’m really happy. I love it, I love all the people, I’m challenged every single day.
“While the children are little it really suits my life. I go home to my kids every single night and I don’t think you can put any sort of price on that.”
And it looks like fans will have her for a little while longer as she and her partner Matthew Wolfenden will try for another baby – preferably a girl – at some point in 2018.
Matthew, 37, said recently: “We’ll start thinking about having another baby next year. We’d love a girl but I think we’re destined to have a house full of boys.”
The couple – who got together in 2009 and engaged later that year – spend a lot of time together as they live together and work together and, although bosses would like to see their alter egos get together, they’ve refused to have too many scenes together.
Matthew said: “They wouldn’t be! They once told us they were considering it and we were the first to ring up and ask for it not to happen!”
Charley added: “It’s too much – living with each other, working with each other and then being romantically linked in the show. Also, they are characters who wouldn’t suit.”

Eamonn Holmes loses voice

OHMYGOSSIP — Eamonn Holmes has lost his voice.
The ‘This Morning’ host was forced to pull out of presenting the brunch time show today (19.01.18) – leaving his wife Ruth Langsford on her own – because he’s laid up in bed with a “impossibly sore throat” and is unable to talk.
Taking to his Twitter account this morning, he said: “Things not good today folks ….. Got an impossibly sore throat. Don’t need this – sooo much to do – but unfortunately Talking is my business. Bloomin Heck it hurts (sic),” followed by three pained emojis.
Ruth kicked off the show on her own, explaining why her husband was not beside her as usual, before Alison Hammond rushed into the frame with her suitcase in tow.
Ruth, 57, said: “They’re dropping like flies in my house.
“Jack was off all week with the lergy, and this morning Eamonn woke up with no voice. He was literally having to write notes.”
Alison added: “I woke up, was getting my son ready for school, was going to go to the gym as you do and then I get a message from boss saying: ‘Al, can you do the show?’ And I thought about ignoring it and then I thought about Ruth on her own and I couldn’t.”
The 42-year-old presenter – who usually does the celebrity interviews and is now doing the showbiz round up following Rylan Clark-Neal’s temporary departure – then asked if Eamonn, 58, was OK before wishing him to get better as soon as possible.
Ruth – who has 15-year-old son Jack with Eamonn – replied: “No, he’s literally lost his voice. He can’t talk. Jack has been off all week.”
Eamonn has also been forced to pull out of his Drive Time show on talkRADIO later on today because his throat is just “too sore” – but it’s not yet known who will replace him.

Marnie Simpson quits Geordie Shore

OHMYGOSSIP — Marnie Simpson has reportedly quit ‘Geordie Shore’.
The 26-year-old beauty has been on the MTV show for five years, but has decided to bow out to explore new opportunities and to “start a new chapter” in her life.
An insider told The Sun Online: “Marnie has loved her time on ‘Geordie Shore’ but it’s time for her to move on.
“She will still be around for this series but that’s it – she won’t return for the next.
“Her contact lens business is massively popular too.
“She’s loved her time on ‘Geordie Shore’ and it’s given her an incredible platform, but now she wants to move on and start new chapter in her life.”
The busty brunette – who previously enjoyed romances with her co-stars Aaron Chalmers and Scotty T – also has other plans in the pipeline, including becoming a mother.
The former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star recently moved in with boyfriend Casey Johnson, and it seems the couple aren’t hanging around when it comes to taking their relationship to the next level, as they’re already thinking about starting a family together in the near future.
Marnie explained: “Maybe next year. He’d like one now but I’m going to wait. I think 27 would be a good age. I’ve always wanted a little boy – I think it’s because my family are all girls.”
And she wouldn’t think twice if the 22-year-old reality star was to pop the question to her.
She said previously: “If Casey proposed, I’d definitely say yes. He’s adorable. I don’t really mind how he does it – we could be watching a movie and he could do it. As long as it’s him, I don’t care…
“We’re like best friend. People who don’t know use don’t know if we’re together or not, but we do have a very passionate relationship behind closed doors.
“We have a very good sex life, but we have that really good friendship too”! Because in the long run, when a romance dies down, it’s friendship you have to fall back on.”
Marnie and the former Union J singer met whilst filming celebrity dating show ‘Single AF’ last summer.

Lauren Goodger had ‘lumps and bumps’ removed

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Goodger has had her unwanted “lumps and bumps” removed.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star has battled with her weight on and off for years and has decided she’s had enough of the “bad pictures” she’s seen of herself recently so underwent liposuction at the Elite Surgical to get rid of her “hard pockets of fat.”
Taking to her Instagram account, the 31-year-old star said she’s now “in love” with her body and is relying on a waist trainer to ensure her figure remains toned and trim.
She wrote: “I am [loving] my body right now.. I am wearing my @maskateertm waist trainer in black … which is keeping the swelling down and shape sculpted on my body. My stomach is rock hard and toned thanks to @elitecosmeticsurgery who helped me remove any lumps and bumps!
“I’m proud of what I’m achieving and can’t wait share with you what’s coming up next.”
Her surgery comes just days after she was left with a swollen face and puffy eyes that were glued shut after she had a botched eyebrow wax.
She said recently: “It is mywhole face swollen .. much better than what it was .. im currently icing my eyes lol and the cuts clearing up .. I couldn’t open my eyes x (sic)”
Lauren has made no secret of the fact she likes to beautify herself on a regular basis – including fake tan and lip fillers – and recently admitted she’s thinking of having a gastric band fitted because she’s tired of fluctuating from a size 8 to a 14.
She said recently: “When I was doing my fitness DVD, I was so strict and I saw results. But I’m a sociable person and it made me miserable to stay in all the time.
“I fell off the wagon and I’ve put weight back on. I reckon I’m a size 12 now and I’m scared I might get bigger. I don’t know what else to do. Go back to the gym, diet, and hate my life? I’ve spoken to friends about liposuction or a gastric band. I’d do anything like that if it meant I saw results fast.
“I’m sick of yo-yoing. I know I can have the best body. I’m curvy and go in and out in the right places but I just need that head start.
“I’ve tried everything else so surgery seems like the right option.”

Joanna Lumley turned down Coronation Street return

OHMYGOSSIP — Joanna Lumley recently snubbed the chance to return to ‘Coronation Street’.
The 71-year-old actress left the long-running soap in 1973 as Elaine Perkins when she turned down Ken Barlow’s (Bill Roache) marriage proposal, but bosses were keen for her to reprise the role three years ago but she had to turn down the offer because she already had other work booked in for when they wanted to record her scenes.
She told The Sun newspaper: “Three years ago they said: ‘Would you fancy picking this up again?’ They wanted Elaine Perkins to come back. I said yes. They said: ‘These are the dates when we are filming.’ But it was when I was doing one of my travel pieces for ITV. It was a pain. I think I am past it now. But Ken is still around.”
Joanna made the decision to leave the soap because she realised that the public were starting to turn against her character because she branded the cobbles “too boring.”
She recalled: “Ken came round to my posh house and asked me to marry him and Elaine said that ‘Coronation Street’ was too boring. Britain hated me and I left.”
The ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ writer recently admitted she took on the role all those years ago because she was “skint” and was convinced she’d be there for at least 15 years.
She explained: “I was absolutely skint, and then I was brought up to ‘Coronation Street’ to be Ken Barlow’s girlfriend. And, what’s more, he was going to ask me to marry him!
“I thought, I shall be in ‘Coronation Street’ for 15 years! Then they said, ‘You turn him down’. I said that I can’t turn him down. It’s Ken Barlow, he’s the nation’s heartthrob! And his wife had just been killed by a hairdryer.”

Tanya Franks to return to EastEnders

OHMYGOSSIP — Tanya Franks is returning to ‘EastEnders’.
The 50-year-old actress will briefly reprise her role as drug addict Rainie Cross in the long-running soap in tonight’s (19.01.18) episode when the Branning family gather around Abi Branning’s (Lorna Fitzgerald) hospital bed to say their final goodbyes before her life support is tragically switched off following her devastating fall last month.
Tanya said: “It’s like never having been away. I love working with everyone at ‘EastEnders’. With John Yorke at the helm at the moment, the show is in good hands and I’m excited to explore the next chapter in Rainie’s journey.”
And, although she’s only making a flying visit this time around, Tanya will slip back into her alter ego’s cheap clobber in the spring when Rainie returns to Albert Square once again to wreak havoc for her former brother-in-law Max Branning (Jake Wood).
It’s not known what brings Rainie back in a few months’ time as her sister Tanya Branning (Jo Joyner) has already moved on, her niece Abi will be dead and her other niece Lauren is set to flee – although it’s not yet known how or why she’ll leave.
Rainie first appeared in Walford in 2007 but her arrival was somewhat difficult as she caused nothing but hassle for her family due to her on/off battle with a heroin addiction.
Meanwhile, viewers have been gripped to the edge of their seats since Christmas Day (25.12.17) when Abi and Lauren plunged from the roof of the Queen Victoria pub while trying to persuade their deranged father Max to come down after threatening suicide.
While Lauren managed to come away with a broken spine, Abi – who was pregnant – fell into a coma and was recently declared brain dead by medical professionals.
Her baby daughter – who is yet to be named – was delivered via emergency surgery.

Scarlett Moffatt reveals social media pressure

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffatt has admitted comments on social media have been “really affecting [her] anxiety”.
The 27-year-old former ‘Gogglebox’ star previously struggled with her weight before triumphantly shedding the pounds and starting to feel confident with her body, but she has now admitted she often spends time “crying” after reading comments on Instagram that slam her figure, and accuse her of editing her photos to make herself appear skinnier.
She said: “It’s really affecting my anxiety. I spend days crying and putting on a brave face. I worry about the impact on younger girls like my little sister, who is only 11, and how it affects her and women as a whole. I want them to be happy in them-selves, whether that’s athletic, slim or curvy.
“I try and promote health and fitness, as I want to be a good role model. But more importantly I want people to be happy. I want people to enjoy the shows I’m on and read the books I write because I make them smile, because I make them think – not because they think I look good in a bodycon dress. I just don’t like this constant pressure. I was slated when I slimmed down to an eight, now I’m slated being a size 12 to 14.”
The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ winner also admitted the pressure she finds herself under to look her best even made her consider pulling out of the National Television Awards next week.
She added to The Sun newspaper: “I feel like I can’t win and it’s affecting my confidence to the point I was even debating whether to go to the NTAs – which is pathetic but I have to be a role model and show people we can’t let body shamers win.”

Jennifer Metcalfe can’t wait to return to Hollyoaks

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Metcalfe “can’t wait” to return to ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 35-year-old actress is currently on a break from the soap after giving birth to son Daye, her first child with partner Greg Lake, six months ago but she’s looking forward to reprising her role a Mercedes McQueen later this year.
She said: “I’m really excited [to go back]. I can’t wait.”
Jennifer admits her life has changed hugely since she became a parent and she’s learnt so much in the short period of time.
She said: “It’s only been six and a half months, but it feels like a lifetime ago.
“The amount I’ve learnt in that time has just been ridiculous. Each week is a new challenge that you have to overcome and then you feel really proud, and then the next week there’s something else.”
And the brunette beauty thinks Daye has made her and former ‘Geordie Shore’ star Greg “live a little more”.
She explained: “We were a weekend couple for four-and-a-half years.
“He’d come to Liverpool, we’d go out for food, nap all day, watch films and then he’d go home [to Newcastle]. But now, when Daye wakes up, there’s no choice to stay in bed – he dictates the day. Now we see more people, we go to more places.
“Daye’s probably making us live a little more.”
Jennifer thinks she and Greg will get married eventually, but doesn’t think their nuptials will be a lavish occasion.
Asked if they’ll wed, she told OK! magazine: “I think we probably will, eventually.
“For Greg and me, it would be like, ‘Should we? Do we fancy a party? Go on then, we should probably just get married.’
“It’d be really low key, probably just our close friends and family.”

Maggie Oliver up for eviction on Celebrity Big Brother

OHMYGOSSIP — Maggie Oliver is up for eviction on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The former police officer will now battle with Andrew Brady, Ann Widdecombe, John Barnes and Rachel Johnson to stay in the reality show when the double eviction takes place on Friday night (19.01.18).
It was up to Ann and Daniel O’Reilly, also known as Dapper Laughs, to choose who would be saved and who would be put up to eviction after they won the Big Brother Driving School challenge. Ann and Daniel agreed they should save him from eviction.
Announcing their decision, Daniel said: “Me and Ann agreed, thank you Ann, that she would save me.”
Whilst Ann added: “I’m now going to make myself the most unpopular person in the house but the criterion that I have used throughout is, I only nominate people who I think have been unkind to others. Therefore, were she not immune, Ashley would have been right at the top of my hit list for her treatment of Jonny but she’s immune. Therefore, I regret, nobody is going to like this, because she laughed when others were in pain, I nominate Maggie.”
There were audible gasps from the other housemates when the news was revealed and Maggie headed off to speak to Big Brother, where she branded the decision upsetting.
She said: “I am upset but not surprised. As an MP, she’s used to making unpopular decisions. There’s a very uncomfortable feeling in the house and I think that everyone’s picked up on that. We’ll have to get along and we’ll have to be civil with each other but there will be a little bit of awkwardness around Ann. I definitely feel like I can’t trust her.”

Tom Hanks took a typewriter from the set of The Post

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Hanks took a typewriter from the set of ‘The Post’ to add to his growing collection.
The Academy Award-winning actor stars as newspaper editor Ben Bradlee in the Steven Spielberg-directed political thriller, and he has revealed he took one of the film’s props home with him.
Of the props, Tom – who owns a collection of vintage typewriters – shared: “One of them is in my collection now!
“I tested every single one of those machines and I picked out the one for me. I informed the prop department, I’m either buying it or stealing it – it’s up to them.”
The new movie tells the story of The Washington Post newspaper’s struggles to publish the Pentagon Papers, which contained secret information about the US involvement with the war in Vietnam.
And Tom – who stars alongside fellow Hollywood icon Meryl Streep – has hailed his on-screen character as a “lion”.
The 61-year-old star explained to BBC Radio 2: “He knew how to enter a room. He had the greatest job in the world. And he, I think, governed by enthusiasm, no small amount of gregariousness, just the right amount of charm, but a confidence in what the job was.
“Prior to the beginning of this movie, he and his boss, Katherine Graham, are trying to become the number one newspaper in Washington DC. He was a lion, let me put it that way.”
Meanwhile, Tom – who has four children – previously revealed he doesn’t want to “burden”his kids with his typewriters when he dies.
He said: “I don’t want these to be a burden to my children when I kick the bucket. I don’t want them to say, ‘What are we gonna do with dad’s typewriters?'”

Rita Ora teases Fifty Shades spin-off

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Ora has teased there could be a ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ spin-off.
The 27-year-old singer-turned-actress has starred as Mia in the hit movies alongside Jamie Dornan as her onscreen brother Christian Grey, and although the franchise is coming to end this year, Ora has hinted at a possible new movie.
Speaking to Kiss FM, Ora said: “There could be a sequel because I get kidnapped and there’s a whole thing that happens, I’m not spoiling it because the book is already out.”
The movies – which are based on the popular novels by E.L James – follows the racy relationship between Grey and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) and the final movie in the trilogy ‘Fifty Shades Freed’ follows the newlyweds who believe they have left behind the figures from their past.
However, as she steps into her role as Mrs Grey, he relaxes into an unfamiliar stability, new threats could jeopardise their happy ending before it even begins.
Not only starring in the movie, Ora also sang the theme song in a duet with Liam Payne, and despite the books being internationally bestsellers, she admitted she read the script before reading the book.
She said: “I read the script before I read the book. You should go and see it because it’s like a great moment in history and has broken so many records and also, whether you like that taste in film or not, it’s one of those movies where you should feel as though you need to see at least a few scenes, so just you can say you’ve seen it. For me, I enjoyed every moment of making it and finishing it off with the single is just great.”

Todd McFarlane starts casting for Spawn movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Todd McFarlane revealed casting has begun on the ‘Spawn’ movie.
The 56-year-old comic book creator is best known for his work on Marvel’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ and the horror-fantasy series based around the antihero ‘Spawn’, and now, McFarlane has revealed they are sending a script to Hollywood.
Speaking to ComicBook.com, McFarlane said: “We just officially the other day had our first casting meeting, and so what that means for anyone listening today is with the final script we’re going to start sending that into Hollywood to actually go pick up the cast members.
“So what you do during those first couple of meetings is go through all the characters and then sort of throw some names and bat some names around for people you think might fit it.
“More specifically, are there actors or characters you’ve seen in other movies that you think fall into that pool, because all of that gives the casting director a picture so that they can go, ‘Oh OK, In know who to go after now that we’re doing it.’ So we’ve officially begun the casting process.”
The character was first created by McFarlane back in 1992 in ‘Spawn #1’ and was published by Image Comics.
The story follows Albert Francis Simmons who was murdered by his friend and his soul was sent to hell after he had knowingly killed innocents while working for the CIA.
Simmons makes a deal with an evil being known as Malebolgia and in exchange for his soul, he would get to see his wife Wanda again.
However, after agreeing and returning to the human world five years later, he had been transformed into a demonic creature and after regaining his past memories, he searched for his wife to find she had married his best friend Terry Fitzgerald and have a daughter together.
Spawn then goes on a series of fights with angels and other demonic creatures.
The character was adapted into a feature film back in 1997 with Michael Jai White portraying the character. HBO then adapted the comic book into an animated series which ran from 1997 to 1999.
Spawn also appears in a numerous cross-over story-lines in other comic books most notably with Batman.

Benjamin Bratt dubs Pixar master storytellers

OHMYGOSSIP — Benjamin Bratt thinks Pixar are “master storytellers”.
The 54-year-old actor stars as singer Ernesto De La Cruz in the new Oscar-tipped animation ‘Coco’ and he admitted he loved that the movie will “illuminate the beauty and uniqueness of Mexican culture”.
In an interview with the Metro newspaper, Bratt said: “I’m a fan of Pixar films – I have children under 12, so I’m quite familiar with their canon. Pixar are master storytellers. And I loved that it was going to illuminate the beauty and uniqueness of Mexican culture. It’s quite timely that this film in a way reintroduces Latino culture to the rest of the world. As much as it’s a piece of entertainment, I also see it as an opportunity to remind us of our shared humanity.”
‘Coco’ follows the story of Miguel who finds himself in the colourful land of the dead and he unlocks the real story behind his family history.
Bratt also admitted he has never sang before but would trade any artistic ability he has, including acting, to be able to be a balladeer.
He said: “I’ve often said I would trade it all in, any artistic ability I have in any other form, even when it comes to acting, if I could be a talented balladeer. I just don’t have the chops for it. They hooked me up with a musical wizard, Liz Caplan, and they give you an infinite amount of takes to get what you can give.
“And I wouldn’t be surprised if they then put on some kind of secret sauce. That’s as much as I will say about that, adding finally, once and for all, that at least I’m not embarrassed with the results.”
Although the film is set in Mexican and features a Latino cast, Bratt believes that American cinema has a lot of “catching up” to be more diverse.
He said: “I think so. But American cinema still has a lot of catching up to do – the landscape of television is more so. I’d love to see a Latino in the future or in space or in science fiction, although Jimmy Smits did make it into ‘Star Wars’ … Look, I misspeak, I realise Oscar Isaac … I think what I meant was I want to see myself…”
