Lee Unkrich visioned his family dying for furnace scene in Toy Story 3

OHMYGOSSIP — Lee Unkrich planned the emotional furnace scene in ‘Toy Story 3’ after imagining his family on a crashing plane.
The 50-year-old filmmaker helmed the third instalment of the hit Pixar franchise which nearly saw iconic characters including Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Ham, Rex, Slinky, Jessie and Mr and Mrs Potato Head nearly perish in a furnace.
But he admitted he had to imagine himself and his family dying and what he would do in his last moments but wasn’t worried about it being too intense for children.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph newspaper, Unkrich said: “A lot of people asked me ‘aren’t you worried that this is too intense for children?’
“But I wanted it to ring emotionally true. I’d just want to hold my family close, and we’d face it together. Kids are more resilient than we give them credit for. When adults experience strong feelings, they naturally want to protect their kids from them, but experiencing good and bad things is part of growing up. And the safest place to experience the most troubling of all is movies.”
Now Unkrich has helmed the new Pixar movie ‘Coco’ alongside producer Darla K. Anderson, which follows the story of Miguel who finds himself in the colourful land of the dead and he unlocks the real story behind his family history.
Although the film – which is set in Mexico – deals with family loss, Unkrich revealed he received some backlash from parents who claimed the film wasn’t in line with their “own religious beliefs”.
He said: “Some parents weren’t completely on board with the idea of their kids seeing the film because they felt the ideas we were exploring were not in line with their own religious beliefs.
“If you take your kids to see ‘Star Wars’, it doesn’t mean you’re endorsing a belief in The Force.”

Daniel Kaluuya says Get Out is like a pressure cooker

OHMYGOSSIP — Daniel Kaluuya said ‘Get Out’ is a “pressure cooker”.
The 28-year-old actor stars as Chris in the acclaimed2017 psychological thriller and he admitted he related to the feelings and events his onscreen character goes through, and understood why Chris becomes enraged at the end of the movie.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, Kaluuya said: “Having to navigate standing up for yourself, your emotion gets reduced to aggression.
“How do you respond to that, because it is an attack, and it is like a passive-aggressive one. I had experienced a lot of moments that Chris experiences – and the rage at the end because it is a pressure cooker ‘Get Out’ is a pressure cooker. Your intuition tells you suppress, suppress your feelings. It is because that is what happens. It is you subverting your emotions and belittling your instincts – and then the last third is a roar of emotion.”
The film – which was helmed by Jordan Peele – follows interracial couple Chris (Kaluuya) and his girlfriend, Rose (Allison Williams), who have reached the meet-the-parents stage of dating.
She invites him for a weekend getaway with her parents and, at first, Chris reads the family’s overly accommodating behaviour as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter’s interracial relationship.
But during the weekend, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he never could have imagined.
Kaluuya – who has been nominated for BAFTAs EE Rising Star Award – also revealed he has been “singled out” because of the colour of his skin.
He said: “I have been there in terms of being in an environment where you are singled out because of the colour of your skin.
“It is almost like ‘shall I take my skin off so you can talk to it? Because you are not interested in me.’ ”

Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer reunite for Christmas movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer will team up for a new festive film.
The ‘Help’ co-stars have signed up to star alongside one another in a Christmas comedy for Universal, after the studio won the rights to the as-yet untitled movie after a pitch from Chastain’s Freckle Films.
According to Variety, the 40-year-old actress wrote the original treatment for the motion picture alongside Kelly Carmichael, and Peter Chiarelli will pen the movie’s script.
As well as starring and writing the original idea for the film, Chastain will also produce alongside Carmichael, Celine Rattray, and Trudie Styler, who is married to music legend Sting.
The forthcoming film will tell the story of two women who try to beat the elements in a bid to make it home in time for Christmas.
Fox and Paramount are said to have gone up against Universal for the rights but lost out.
The movie will see Chastain and Spencer reunite after they previously starred alongside one another in ‘The Help’.
The pair were both nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for their portrayals in the movie, with Spencer taking home the prize at the Oscars.
What’s more, the 2011 film was up for the Best Picture Oscar but lost out to ‘The Artist’, but it did win the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
Chastain is currently on the big screen in ‘Molly’s Game’ as the titular character Molly Bloom, while Spencer, 47, recently starred in ‘The Shape of Water’.

Liam Neeson tips Killian Scott for Star Wars

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Neeson wants Killian Scott to play a young Qui-Gon Jinn in a ‘Star Wars’ movie.
The 65-year-old star joked he could return as his ‘Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace’ character in an origins story with the use of technology, but if he was unavailable, he’d back his 32-year-old ‘Commuter’ co-star for the role.
Asked who’d play a younger version of the character, he told JOE.ie: “With CGI it would have to be me, they could just make me younger.
“[If I wasn’t available] I don’t know, maybe Killian [Scott] would be good actually. Yeah, Killian would be good.”
His comments came after Liam admitted it could be “possible” for him to return to the saga even though his character was killed off, following the news there’s an Obi-Wan Kenobi solo movie in the works.
He told Yahoo Movies UK: “This is the first time I’m hearing of this. No one’s been in touch with me. I know in the ‘Star Wars’ world anything is possible.
“In the first one, The Phantom Menace, I died but we know, you know, Jedis come back and stuff but no one’s been in touch. We’ll see.”
Liam’s character had been due to appear in ‘Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith’ but a scene where he spoke to Yoda from beyond the grave was cut, though Jinn did still get a mention in the film.
Yoda told Obi-Wan: “An old friend has learned the path to immortality.
“One who has returned from the netherworld of the Force… Your old master.”

Stephanie Davis splits with boyfriend

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis has split from her new boyfriend.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ star has decided to call time on her relationship with Jacob Gill – just weeks after they got together – because she felt he was too much of a “party boy.”
A source told The Sun Online: “Jacob turned out to be a bit of a party boy and she’s had enough of that. She’s had enough of drama full stop so quickly came to the decision that her romance with Jacob wasn’t right for her. All she wants is to feel happy and secure with someone new but it may take a while to find the right man.”
The 24-year-old beauty has been single since she split from her on/off boyfriend Jeremy McConnell, whom is the father of her 12-month-old son Caben-Albi, at the beginning of last year because he’d been physically abusive towards her.
She then set tongues wagging last week when she changed her picture on social media to her and Jacob snuggled up on the sofa – but she didn’t disclose his name.
However, she made it perfectly clear to him that Caben was her “main priority.”
An insider explained last week: “Stephanie has been on dates with someone new and loves having her life back. It is still early days but she has been enjoying being treated again. Her main priority is Caben but she’s really liked having some new male company – and this time it really feels like a fresh start.”
Stephanie met and fell in love with Jeremy, 27, while they were competing on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ at the beginning of 2016 but they split in March that year.
The actress then found out she was pregnant but Jeremy didn’t believe her until Caben was born in January 2017 and a paternity test confirmed he was the father.
They then attempted to give their relationship another go but split when Jeremy left her covered in bruises in March 2017. He was found guilty of assault in August.

Tamzin Outhwaite’s letterbox blunder

OHMYGOSSIP — Tamzin Outhwaite once put all her Christmas cards into a prop postbox on the set of ‘EastEnders’ because she thought it was real.
The 47-year-old actress is set to return to Albert Square as Melanie Owen a whopping 16 years after she left in 2002, and if nothing else she’ll have a better idea of where to post her mail after a disastrous attempt to post her Christmas cards in 1998 left the letters trapped in a fake postbox.
She recalled: “I was telling some of the youngsters in the cast what I did when I first joined. I joined in like August, and that Christmas we were really busy, I was on set 12 or 14 hours a day sometimes.
“I took all my Christmas cards into work and they all had stamps on, some were going to Germany, some were going to America, some were going to Spain. I took them all and I thought, ‘Oh I’ll kill two birds with one stone and I’ll go down and film this scene outside on the lot, and I’ll pop all my Christmas cards in the letter box.’
“So I did, I put them all in the postbox, and then I asked one of the prop guys and I said ‘How often do they collect from there?’ And he looked at me like ‘What do you mean?’ I was like ‘The postbox. How often do you think? Is it twice a day, once a day, or is it just like once a week?’ And he just went ‘It’s not real’.”
Tamzin was left unable to retrieve her letters after the blunder, and although she made the mistake two decades ago, she believes the lost mail is still inside the closed up box.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Thursday (18.01.18), she said: “I couldn’t get them out. I was like ‘Is there anyway we can open that?’ There’s not even a thing on the back, what are you going do? Smash it down to get your Christmas cards out? They’re still in there! There must be some kind of piece of machinery that could go in and I could see what else is in there. Probably just loads of cans and stuff.”

Jack P Shepherd moves in with Coronation Street co-star

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack P Shepherd has moved in with his ‘Coronation Street’ co-star Colson Smith after splitting from fiancee Lauren Sheppey.
The 30-year-old actor – who plays David Platt on the long-running ITV soap – split from his partner of 15 years and the mother of his two children in October last year, but Jack has now moved in with Colson, who plays Craig Tinker, and fellow actor Freddie Bolt.
The talented trio have taken to Instagram to reveal that they’ve recently been living together.
Freddie – who stars in ‘Ackley Bridge’ – captioned one snap: “First full week in the new flat with these two. Been a blast ft. Makeup from the show tonight… @jackpshepherd88 @colsonjsmith #salfordquays #boysclub #threestoogies. (sic)”
Lauren and Jack – who have an eight-year-old daughter and a son aged three – confirmed their split in October.
A spokeswoman for the pair explained at the time: “Jack and Lauren remain the best of friends and their main focus is the care of their children.”
The duo first started dating when they were just 14 years old, but Lauren threw the actor out in 2011, when a DNA test confirmed that he’d fathered a baby with sales executive Sammy Milewski.
The duo subsequently reconciled and became engaged later in the same year, after he proposed with a £3,000 ring.
However, Jack is now dating Hanni Treweek, and the loved-up couple went public with their new romance shortly after splitting from his childhood sweetheart.

Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo not ‘clever’ enough for politics

OHMYGOSSIP — Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo doesn’t think she’s “clever” enough to go into politics.
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ star developed a close bond with the Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson’s father Stanley Johnson while they were competing on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ last year – and during that time they had numerous discussions about the government – but she’s adamant she’d never be able to go into parliament.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, she said: “There have been a lot of crossover with celebrities and politics but to me, I don’t think I would go into politics. Perhaps when I’m a lot older. I don’t think I’m intelligent to become an MP! I have my opinions but to go into politics you have to be very clever, which I’m not!
“I think you have to have really thick skin to be in politics – which I just lack. I think I’m just too nice! So, I don’t think I fancy being the Prime Minister. The celebrity cross over into politics, is a massive thing which I don’t suppose anyone envisaged. However, it’s the way things are going. My following on Instagram is bigger than any leader of any political party! So it’s mind blowing. The power of social media is so strong.”
And, although they’ve now gone back to their normal lives, the 23-year-old beauty is still in touch with Stanley, 77, and he even called her while he was in a car wash recently.
She explained: “I have kept in touch with Stanley. I like Stanley so much, we are going for supper. I have to call him back actually, I’ve been so naughty! He’s so sweet.
“He called me the other day and he was shouting. I said: ‘Where are you?’ And he replied: ‘IN THE CAR WASH!’ He’s just so classic.”
Toff’s career has rocketed since she was crowned the queen of the jungle last year and she has admitted she’s really struggled to adjust to her new-found higher level of fame.
She added: “It’s never been like this before, being followed and having people sat outside my house! But it goes hand in hand with what I do and all the lovely things. But it is an enormous change, the scrutiny and everyone staring at me.”

Celebrity Big Brother gets hot water ban

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ housemates were banned from using hot water and hair appliances for 24 hours after Dapper Laughs broke one of the show’s biggest rules.
The 27-year-old comedian – whose real name is Daniel O’Reilly – infuriated his costars last night (17.01.18) after the whole house were dished a punishment because he’d spoken about nominations with Andrew Brady and Jonny Mitchell.
During last night’s episode, the housemates were gathered on the sofa when Big Brother told them that they were going to be slap with a ban because someone had violated the rules by “discussing or hinting at who [they] might nominate in the future, or have nominated previously, or speculating or guessing who nominated who”.
A conversation from the previous day was relayed, in which Shane Jenek urged Dapper, Andrew Brady and Jonny Mitchell to “think about the people they vote for.”
Dapper replied: “One of the people I voted for, I really like. I thought I was doing it for a funny reason,” to which Andrew wrongly guessed that he’d been nominated by him.
Jonny then interjected to warn his friends that they were breaking the rules.
Dapper, Andrew, Ann Widdecombe, John Barnes, Rachel Johnson are all facing eviction this week – and two of them will be leaving – after Big Brother dished out a shocking twist.
Ashley James was given automatic immunity from this week’s eviction after she won a challenge when a group of rowdy four year olds invaded the infamous abode.
The youngsters wreaked havoc as they ran around the house while the contestants were told to keep them entertained – testing their mental strength, resilience and determination – and the star who did the best would receive immunity.
After pushing the contestants to their limits, the kids headed to the Diary Room and decided that Ashley was their favourite and would escape elimination this week.
Ashley: “I said to so many people that children wouldn’t like me. I haven’t had children in my life for 10 years. I don’t have any young people in my life.”

Martin Clunes stars in the comedy Vehicle Warren

OHMYGOSSIP — Martin Clunes has confirmed he’s joined the cast of new comedy ‘Vehicle Warren’.
The ‘Doc Martin’ star – known for portraying ill-mannered surgery owner Dr. Martin Ellingham since 2004 – will once again take on a titular role as dogmatic driving instructor, Warren, in the new sitcom with screenplay by Paul McKenna and Jimmy Donny Cosgrove.
Ironically, Clunes – who starred in the ‘Reggie Perrin’ remake seven years ago – was slapped with a six-month driving ban back in 2012 after he racked up 12 points for speeding offences.
The new series will follow the hapless individual as he’s forced to move from the South of England to Preston in the North, after his partner Anne’s father falls ill.
Warren ends up living in an area he doesn’t like, doing a mundane job and looking after two teenage stepsons.
The 56-year-old actor’s new role will come as a surprise to many fans, as he previously admitted he didn’t want to be part of another sitcom, but he couldn’t resist production company Hat Trick’s enticing script.
Of his new gig, Clunes said: “I had kind of told myself that I didn’t want to do another sitcom, but because this came from Hat Trick I thought it was worth a read and the script is just so funny that I didn’t want anyone else to do it.”
Jimmy Mulville, Managing Director at Hat Trick Productions commented: “Great scripts attract great actors and this was the case with Warren. Martin plays the central role to perfection and is supported by a fantastic cast. We can’t wait to make it.”
And Shane Allen, Controller Comedy Commissioning at the BBC added: “BBC One mainstream comedy is our highest priority and the toughest nut to crack. We have enormous faith in Warren as the pilot displayed the perfect alchemy of well-drawn characters, punchy funny lines, a terrific ensemble cast and in Martin Clunes a heavyweight comedy champion who we’re delighted to see step back in to the ring of a BBC One sitcom.”
Further casting and transmission details will be announced in due course.

Chris Tarrant found guilty of drink-driving

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Tarrant has been found guilty of drink-driving.
The ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ host was slapped with a £6,000 fine and banned from driving for 12 months at Reading Magistrates’ Court today (18.01.18) after he admitted to whizzing from the Bladebone pub in Bucklebury, Berkshire, in his Mercedes on December 16 while heavily under the influence of alcohol.
Chris was reported to the police by a member of the public – thought to be a neighbour – and he initially denied any wrongdoing.
However, he was found with 50 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit being 35 microgrammes – when he blew on the breathalyzer.
The 71-year-old presenter’s agent Paul Vaughan said in a statement that Chris had “enjoyed a single drink and something to eat” before leaving the pub “in a sober state.”
He added: “Once he was at home, as he was not to drive himself again that day, he freely admits he drank a quantity of alcohol – some brandy and later some wine.
“Having been at home for some time, he was called upon by a police officer who approached him outside his house and required him, following information received by a member of the public, to take a breath test. This test proved positive and he was formally arrested and taken to the Newbury Police Station.
“Mr Tarrant was not stopped by police at the roadside, nor was he given a roadside breath test – nor is there any allegation by police that his driving fell below standard.
“Indeed, they did not witness the journey.”

Ant McPartlin’s wife ‘moved to Britain’s Got Talent spin-off’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ant McPartlin’s estranged make-up artist wife has reportedly been moved from ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ to its spin-off show.
The 42-year-old TV host is in the midst of a divorce battle with Lisa Armstrong and the decision has reportedly been taken to move her from the flagship ITV show to the lesser-known ‘Britain’s Got More Talent’.
A source explained: “Lisa has worked on BGT for years and is keen to continue as normal. She has friends there and enjoys being part of the show.”
Lisa is now set to work with Stephen Mulhern, the host of the spin-off show ,but because he has recently been ill with laryngitis, she’s not yet been needed on the set.
The insider shared: “She’s generally done Stephen’s make-up and helped other people but this year the plan is for her to work exclusively on the spin-off.”
Despite their impending divorce, Ant and Lisa are doing their best to ensure that their relationship remains civilised.
And both parties reportedly feel that by Lisa switching to ‘Britain’s Got More Talent’, they are less likely to experience any potentially awkward on-set encounters.
The source told The Sun newspaper: “They are all keen to keep things civilised with Ant. It should certainly mean less awkward encounters.”
This comes shortly after it was reported that Ant is happy to give Lisa half of his TV fortune in their divorce.
The British star – who married Lisa in 2006 – is keen to avoid a lengthy, bitter dispute in the courts as he remains fond of his estranged wife.
A source previously said: “He want things to be amicable and doesn’t want a drawn out court battle with Lisa.
“He still views her as a best friend and wants them both to be able to walk away from the marriage positively.”

Stacey Solomon talks about getting married ‘all the time’

OHMYGOSSIP — Stacey Solomon talks about getting married to Joe Swash “all the time.”
The ‘Loose Women’ panellist has been dating the 35-year-old actor since the end of 2015 and is seemingly keen to take their relationship to the next level in the near future as she has been talking about getting engaged and getting hitched every day.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said: “I joke about wanting to get married all the time. Even if I wasn’t with Joe I still want to have a wedding and wear a dress one day. I don’t think I’d engage in a relationship if I didn’t think it was forever, otherwise what’s the point? So I really hope Joe’s the one. I have been in relationships where I’ve thought they were forever but they weren’t, so you just never know.”
And the 28-year-old beauty – who already has sons Zach, nine, and Leighton, five, from two previous relationships – would also like to have a baby with her beau, who has 10-year-old son Harry with Emma Sophocleous, after seeing her sister with her new baby.
She explained: “I definitely want more children and it does make me broody when I see people have babies. I’ve looked at her and been like, ‘I want one of those! I don’t know if it’s in Joe’s plan! – but it’s in mine!”
Meanwhile, the former ‘X Factor’ contestant has grown in confidence over the years and she thinks that’s part of the reason why her relationship with the former ‘EastEnders’ actor works so well because she doesn’t rely on him for “reassurance.”
She said recently: “Joe and I have a great relationship and I think one of the reasons is that I’m so secure in myself – I never look to him for reassurance.
“I have been very insecure in previous relationships and for the first time, I feel I’m valuable and I love myself. It took me so long to feel like this – but I know I’m a catch.
“This is the best relationship I’ve been in.”

Victoria Yeates wants to adopt

OHMYGOSSIP — Call the Midwife’s Victoria Yeates wants to adopt a baby.
The 34-year-old actress – who portrays Sister Winifred in the drama – has admitted she’d rather legally take on someone else’s child and bring it up as her own than fall pregnant naturally with her own because she hates the thought of kids needing homes.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said: “I’m not sure about babies. It hasn’t really made me broody being around Helen’s [George, her co-star] baby. If we do, we might adopt. There are so many kids that need homes. Ever since I was little, I don’t know why, my mum said I always wanted to adopt, and I was always worried about children that didn’t have anywhere to go. I would have this recurring nightmare, which probably came from watching ‘Oliver Twist’. Obviously if I fell pregnant we would keep the baby. But in terms of what we want, maybe that is the right path for us.”
But Victoria and her partner Paul Housden are too busy for a child at the moment as they are set to get married in the south of France in a few months’ time.
She explained: “It’s in the Pyrenees in the south of France.
“Paul is a musician, so there will be loads of musicians there. Hopefully there will be a maximum of 120. All the ‘Call the Midwife’ girls will definitely be there, so that will be really exciting. I love them all so much, it’s going to be really good fun.”
And the flame-haired beauty also has her hands full with ‘Call the Midwife’ as she will appear in the forthcoming fifth instalment, which hits screens on Sunday (21.01.18).
She said: “We tackle Huntingdon’s disease.
“I discover a child at school who is very disorientated and has bruises and we think she’s suffering from abuse, but it turns out she’s got Huntington’s chorea.”

Sean Wilson ‘to make Coronation Street return’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sean Wilson is to return to ‘Coronation Street’.
The 52-year-old actor, who is now a cheesemaker, is reportedly set to reprise his role as Martin Platt in the soap for the first time since departing Weatherfield in 2005 following his 20-year stint on the cobbles.
A show source said: “Martin has been mentioned a lot on the show since he left but it has involved other characters, mostly David, going to see him off-screen.”
Sean is set to return to ‘Corrie’ for “a good few weeks” as part of his on-screen son David Platt’s (Jack P. Shepherd) rape storyline.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: “With David’s rape storyline, the writers thought it would be a good time to have him back properly.
“It’s not a permanent arrangement but fans will get to see Sean back as Martin for a good few weeks.”
Sean’s reported return comes after he previously insisted he would “never” reprise his role as Martin after show bosses were “very rude” to him when he departed the show.
He once said: “I will act again, but never with ‘Coronation Street’. They were very rude to me when I left.
“I would rather walk down any other street even if I had a nail in my shoe.”
Sean’s departure came about after he was left “uncomfortable” with a storyline about Martin embarking in an underage relationship.
In his book ‘The Great Northern Cook book’, he wrote: “By 2005 I knew my tenure on the Street had to end. An editorial decision was made that Martin should embark on an underage relationship, something that made me uncomfortable.
“I picked up my coat and left in September in that year ending 21 years of massive fun with a fabulous on-set family.”
Martin had an eventful time in his 20 years in Weatherfield, which saw him marry Gail Platt (Helen Worth), adopt her kids Sarah-Louise (Tina O’Brien) and Nick (Ben Price), and cheat on her with Cathy Power (Theresa Brindley) and Rebecca Hopkins (Jill Halfpenny).
He also embarked on a relationship with Gail’s pal Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor) after their divorce, and later helped rescued Gail and her family from the evil clutches of serial killer Richard Hillman (Brian Capron).
What’s more, he fell in love with his pal Tommy Harris’ 16-year-old daughter Katy (Lucy-Jo Hudson), who fell pregnant before having an abortion.
Katy later died after killing Tommy, and following her death, Martin moved to Liverpool with his new girlfriend Robyn (Clare Calbraith).
Sean is now a cheesemaker and a chef, owns Saddleworth Cheese Company, and has cooked in a number of Michelin starred restaurants.

Vicky Pattison doesn’t want ‘shot gun’ wedding

OHMYGOSSIP — Vicky Pattison doesn’t want a “shot gun” wedding.
The former ‘Geordie Shore’ star sparked concern earlier this week when she announced that she and her fiance John Noble – who got engaged last year and were initially planning to wed in July – had decided to postpone their nuptials for a “year or two”, but she’s adamant nothing has happened between them and they simply want to enjoy being engaged for a little while longer before they become husband and wife.
Speaking to The Sun Online, the 30-year-old beauty said: “[After saying that] I read a story yesterday that said I was pushing it back two years and I started to panic as that’s not true. I started to panic thinking – everyone’s going to think I’m pregnant!
“I feel sexy when I get called a fiancée. I’ve got me whole life to be a wife. I want to give ‘fiancée’ some love. John is such an amazing man and our relationship is something I’ve searched for for 30 years, it deserves gravity and respect and weight.
“The last thing I want to do is to rush out and have some sort of shotgun wedding just to keep everyone else happy. This is about me and him.”
The brunette star was also concerned that people would start pressurising the couple to have a baby once they’d got hitched – and she doesn’t feel ready for that yet.
She explained: “Once we get married the questions will then start to snowball – we’ll start to get asked about kids.
“At the moment we’re travelling and living in our first house together, we are working really hard, we’ve got this incredible life – a wedding just didn’t fit in.”
However, although she doesn’t feel now is the right time to become a mother, Vicky is keen to have babies in the future after seeing her friends with their little ones.
She explained recently: “I always said I didn’t want children but being with John has totally changed my mind. We recently made the decision that children are part of our future. I’ve come to realise that life would be quite empty without them.”
