Ken Watanabe joins Detective Pikachu movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Ken Watanabe is joining Ryan Reynolds in the first-ever-live-action Pokémon film, ‘Detective Pikachu’.
The 58-year-old actor has signed up to play Detective Yoshida, a role specifically created for the movie, which is based on the popular gaming franchise, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film is set to follow Justice Smith’s teenage character Tim Goodman, who has to team up with the mouse-like Pikachu in order to find his father who has been kidnapped.
Kathryn Newton is set to star as a journalist.
In the game franchise, Detective Pikachu isn’t as agile as the normal Pikachu, so has to rely on his intelligence to beat his enemies, and he gets help from Tim who is the only boy who can understand what the he says, to solve Pokémon-related crimes.
Rob Letterman is set to helm the new movie and has teamed up with Legendary Entertainment to oversee the upcoming movie which has been written by ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’s Nicole Perlman and Alex Hirsch who has worked on ‘Gravity Falls’, according to Variety.
Rather than a standalone film it is expected that ‘Detective Pikachu’ will act as a launch pad for a franchise.
The Pokémon Company’s long-standing movie collaborator, Toho, will handle distribution of the film franchise in Japan, as it recently worked in partnership with Legendary on the reboot for the ‘Godzilla’ franchise.
Ken was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for ‘The Last Samurai’ and has starred in Christopher Nolan’s ‘Batman Begins’ and ‘Inception’, along with movies including ‘Godzilla’ and ‘Letters From Iwo Jima’.

Rachel Weisz wants superhero role

OHMYGOSSIP — Rachel Weisz wants to star in a movie like ‘Wonder Woman’.
The 47-year-old actress was blown away by Patty Jenkins’ superhero saga – which featured Gal Gadot in the lead role – and would love to work on something similar.
But though Rachel has her own production company, she insists it isn’t the type of film she could make happen herself.
She said: “I’m totally open to doing the big movies. Maybe I was more in the mood for smaller, more character-driven movies, but now I’m quite in the mood for a… But I just can’t make it happen. Someone has to offer it to me.
“And I can’t produce one of those. I wouldn’t know how to do that.”
Asked if she’d like a movie like ‘Wonder Woman’, she said: “Yeah, definitely. It was good to see that a movie with a female character at the centre can make tons of money. We’re not some weird outlier group. We’re half the planet!”
The ‘Mercy’ star – who is married to Daniel Craig and has son Henry, 11, with former partner Darren Aronofsky – admitted ‘Wonder Woman’ was the first time she had “really enjoyed” an action movie because the titular character and her alter ego Diana Prince resonated with her, and she loved the film so much she would happily watch it every day.
She told Empire magazine: “‘Wonder Woman’ was my favourite film of the year. I thought that was completely magnificent.
“It’s the first time I’ve really enjoyed an action film because I could identify with the character.
“She was a little brunette tomboy and then she became a superhero and I was like, ‘Yeah’.
“I realised that’s why men like action movies. They think it’s them.
“But I find it really hard to identify with a man. With ‘Wonder Woman’, me and other women and little girls all across the world, they think it’s them.
“When she ran through the trenches in the First World War, I just cried. I was so moved by it.
“I thought it was beautiful, exciting, fun, sexy, glamorous, escapist… I could watch it every day.”

Chloe Sevigny would ‘probably not’ work with Woody Allen again

OHMYGOSSIP — Chloe Sevigny would “probably not” work with Woody Allen again.
The 43-year-old actress appeared in the controversial director’s 2004 comedy ‘Melinda and Melinda’ but admitted that she has been battling with her decision to previously work with Woody, who has been accused of sexually assaulting his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow.
Chloe told Variety: “I have my own turmoil that I’m grappling with over that decision. Would I work with him again? Probably not.”
Chloe is the latest star to voice regret over working with the 82-year-old filmmaker, following his daughter’s claims.
Selena Gomez, who stars in his upcoming film ‘A Rainy Day In New York’ has made a “significant donation” to the Time’s Up Legal Fund.
The 25-year-old actress’s donation is reported to be significantly more than her salary was for the movie.
Her co-star Timothée Chalamet also donated his fee, splitting the money between the Time’s Up movement, The LGBT Center in New York, and Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN).
And Rebecca Hall – who starred in Woody’s 2008 movie ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’ – expressed her regret at working with Allen, and pledged to donate her fee from the film to Time’s Up.
Mira Sorvino – who won an Oscar for her role in 1996’s ‘Mighty Aphrodite’ – told Farrow she was sorry for “turning a blind eye” to the sexual abuse allegations she made against Allen.
And Greta Gerwig – who starred in Allen’s 2012 film ‘To Rome With Love’ – has said: “If I had known then what I know now, I would not have acted in the film. I have not worked for him again, and I will not work for him again.”
Farrow published an open letter in The New York Times in 2014 alleging that Allen molested her in an attic when she was seven and accusing Hollywood of turning a “blind eye”.
The director has denied the allegation and this week accused the Farrow family of “cynically using the opportunity afforded by the Time’s Up movement to repeat this discredited allegation”.

Sophie Turner studied schizophrenia for Dark Phoenix

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Turner studied schizophrenia and other mental illnesses before shooting ‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’.
The 21-year-old actress returns to the franchise as psychic Jean Grey in the next outing in the series, and revealed the “amazing superhero story” is also very “personal” and required a lot of research.
She said: “Once I got the script through, I realised that not only were we telling this amazing superhero story, but we were also telling a very personal story as well.
“One which required research into mental health issues because that is a big part of what drives the story.
“I mainly drew inspiration from multiple personality disorder and schizophrenia, as it really is about duality, this movie.
“Darkness and light – that’s all within her.
“This sense of her being a completely other persona and struggling with that.”
And Sophie admitted the movie has been a huge challenge for her.
She said: “I kept saying to Simon (Kinberg, director), ‘Oh good, that’s nearly done. Now I only have, like, seven huge emotional scenes to go. It was a real challenge.”
Simon has stepped behind the camera for the first time, having previously been a writer on the saga, but Sophie insisted he didn’t seem inexperienced and praised him as one of the “best” directors she’s ever worked with.
She told Empire magazine: “Simon has been the brain behind ‘X-Men’ for years and it’s really exciting to have what feels like one of our own rise up and take hold of the franchise and direct it in the way that he sees it.
“I have to say he’s one of the best directors I’ve ever worked with. He’s so passionate and collaborative.”

Vicky Pattison had ‘no boobs and no life’ after losing weight

OHMYGOSSIP — Vicky Pattison had “no boobs and no life” when she slimmed down to a size six.
The former ‘Geordie Shore’ star went on a health kick in 2013, bringing her from a size 16 to a six but she admitted she was miserable at both sizes.
She wrote on Instagram: “Sooooo, I wanted to post this to show a bit of perspective guys!!
“I was around a size 16, unfit, unhealthy and most importantly- regardless of my grin- I was unhappy.
“[After] I’d slimmed down with the help of my fitness dvd- I was a size 6 with no boobs and pretty much no life. I became obsessed, too focused and this in turn was also detrimental to my health. I wasn’t enjoying the amazing gift of life as I was too worried about the calorie content of a blueberry! (sic).”
However, she is now a size 10 and says she has finally found the right balance.
The 30-year-old star wrote: “I am around a size 10, all boobs, bum and zero apology! I train hard, I eat right about 80 per cent of the time but my life doesn’t revolve around what the scales say! I listen to my body- and when it says it wants a gin and tonic… I GIVE IT ONE!!! I am a strong, healthy, realistic woman with a good balance of work and home life. I am in short, HAPPY. And that’s what I wanted you to know.
“Don’t allow your happiness to completely hinge on what the scales say! Be happy because you’re alive, see exercise as a celebration of what your body can do not a punishment for what you’ve ate, use food as fuel not a means to curb boredom and most importantly: eat the cake once in a while… because life is for living and cake is great.
“Love yourselves and have a great weekend (sic).”
Last summer, Vicky revealed how she is “standing up” to her trolls and won’t let them body shame her.
She said: “I don’t want to be silenced. I’m not ashamed of my body and I won’t let anyone make me feel ashamed of my imperfections. They make me who I am, they make me unique. Nobody is perfect.
“What even is perfect? If I have to stand up to every troll who criticises me weight or my shape, I will! I’m not just doing this for me, I’m doing it for every woman. I want them to know that whether they’ve got long legs, short legs, an enormous bum – whatever it is they’re gorgeous and beautiful and they deserve to look sexy every single day.”

Ant McPartlin inspires Corrie storyline

OHMYGOSSIP — Ant McPartlin’s drug addiction has inspired a new ‘Coronation Street’ storyline.
The popular presenter shocked fans last year when he voluntarily admitted himself to rehab after becoming dependent on booze and prescription drugs following a botched knee operation and he has inspired ITV soap ‘Corrie’ to develop a new plotline where Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) gets hooked on morphine.
Daniel told the Daily Star: “The recent story with Ant showed me the trauma is much higher than expected.
“We are dealing with a real issue. It was an interesting story to research. I hope we manage to get it right. It’s terrifying how many people end up this way.”
Last year, Ant was rushed to hospital in a drug-induced ‘psychosis’ after taking tramadol, morphine and alcohol.
Speaking about his experience previously, he said: “It was insane. It sends you crazy. It was to the point of hearing things, seeing things in the garden.
“I was at the point where anything – prescription drugs, non-prescription drugs – I would take. And take them with alcohol, which is ridiculous. The doctors told me I could have killed myself.”
Meanwhile, Ant recently revealed that he and his wife Lisa after divorcing after 11 years of marriage.
A representative for Ant, 42, said in a statement: “In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after 11 years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin.”

Fern Britton’s marriage secret

OHMYGOSSIP — Fern Britton admits she prefers tea to sex.
Although the 60-year-old presenter and her TV chef husband Phil Vickery are still madly in love, she revealed that they are perfectly content to have a cup of tea and a chat together in bed rather than wild sex.
She told Good Housekeeping magazine: “Sex is great but a cup of tea is great, too. There’s nothing nicer than getting into bed with a cuppa and having a hug and a chat – that’s love.
“Lust is great, but when you really love someone and you trust each other, and you’re in bed together drinking tea and chatting, that is a true relationship.”
Fern also revealed that the key to their happy marriage is “absolute freedom”.
She explained: “He has absolute freedom to do what he wants. He goes and has a pint with his mates, he works, or he’s with the pigs, and he does what he loves. If he’s happy, I’m happy.
“He doesn’t stop me from doing anything either.”
Former ‘This Morning’ presenter Fen also praised Phil for supporting her through tough times.
She said: “I’ve had a lot of very tough stuff personally and professionally, and my husband, bless his heart, says to me, ‘You’re like a cockroach. People try to kill you but you never die’.
“He walks past me singing, ‘I get knocked down, but I get up again…’ Isn’t that lovely? I think, ‘Well, if he has faith in me, why don’t I have faith in myself?’ And my children have faith in me, too.”

Alan Carr’s secret wedding

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Carr has tied the knot in a secret ceremony.
The 41-year-old chat show host and his partner of over 10 years, Paul Drayton, 46, got engaged in 2016 and the happy couple have now wed in a tiny ceremony in Los Angeles attended by just four guests.
A source told The Sun: “Alan is hugely eccentric but, when it came to his wedding, he wanted to keep it as private as possible.
“They chose Los Angeles because it’s away from prying eyes and they wouldn’t be recognised — plus there’s no issue with the weather there.
“It was a brilliant day and now both Alan and Paul are looking forward to chilling out on honeymoon.
“It was as intimate as you could imagine with just four guests invited.”
Despite the low-key nuptials, the couple are planning a huge party for family and friends when they return to the UK.
Alan’s spokesperson said: “The couple are currently on honeymoon in Mexico and are planning a big celebration with all their family and friends back in the UK later this summer.
“They are both extremely happy.”
Alan previously shared details of the proposal, admitting that it didn’t exactly go smoothly but he couldn’t be happier.
Explaining that he thought he had pulled out a filling after he bit into the ring, which was hidden in his dessert, Alan said: “The man on the organ starts singing ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight?’
“Then the chef, all the staff came out and the manager and sang ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight?’ but they didn’t know the next lyric, so they just sang, ‘Can you feel the love tonight? Can you feel the love tonight?’
“So it was my idea of hell, but of course I said yes.”
And he admitted he wanted his close friend Adele to perform at the wedding.
He said: “The engagement only happened so I don’t know exactly what we’ll do.
“But a big old wedding and we’ll get Adele singing ‘Someone Like You’.”

Olivia Buckland to turn into ‘bridezilla’

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Buckland is likely to turn into a “bridezilla” when she starts planning her wedding.
The former ‘Love Island’ star is set to tie the knot with fiance Alex Bowen, and while she is coping at the moment, she says as it builds up, she could get more and more tetchy.
Asked if she’s gone full-on bridezilla yet, she confessed: “A little bit. You don’t realise how stressful it is until you go through it. There’s so much to organise.
“I think bridezilla will make its way out fully eventually.”
As for Alex, he’s been keeping busy tasting cakes, but the rest has been left to the brunette beauty.
She told new! magazine: “He was hands-on when he tired the cakes, but he lets me get on with it because he knows I’m quite picky and he trusts my opinion.
“I think he’s trying to keep me calm about it at the minute.”
Olivia, who met Alex on the reality TV show in 2016, previously admitted they were initially in two minds about where they wanted to get hitched, but have now decided that they’re going to hold their ceremony at a gorgeous manor house in their native county of Essex.
She explained: “We’ve decided we’re definitely getting married in Essex. There are so many beautiful houses and gardens around the area, so that’s sort of the vibe we want to go for. Alex is quite vocal about what he likes – a little too vocal sometimes.”

Joseph Gordon-Levitt defends Star Wars: The Last Jedi in essay

OHMYGOSSIP — Joseph Gordon-Levitt has written a 2,000 word essay defending ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’.
The 36-year-old actor voiced alien Slowen Lo in the eighth instalment of the sci-fi saga – which was helmed by his close friend Rian Johnson – however, the highly anticipated movie received rave reviews from the majority of critics but split opinion amongst fans and was even pulled from cinemas in China due to lack of audiences.
But in a Medium post, Gordon-Levitt made an impassioned defence of the movie and in particular why Jedi Master Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) had to be portrayed as a grizzled hermit.
He wrote: “We all get older, and those of us who are lucky enough to survive our youth all face the joys, the terrors, the puzzles, the pitfalls, the surprises, and the inevitabilities that come along with doing so.
“Re-meeting our beloved protagonist decades after we last saw him, only to learn that the passing years have changed some of his most fundamental qualities, I’ll admit it, it’s almost hard to see. But in that glaring contrast between the Luke of old and the new Old Luke, ‘The Last Jedi’ offers a uniquely fascinating portrayal of a man’s life marching inescapably forward. A flawed main character is one of the main distinctions between a story with substance and a gratuitous spectacle. It’s often through a character overcoming their flaws that a movie can really say something.”
Although the film has received criticism about more than just Luke’s change in personality, Joseph decided to focus his writing solely on the iconic character “in the interest of brevity”.
The ‘Inception’ star – who recently welcomed his second son with wife Tasha McCauley – also said it took him a while to see the latest instalment in the franchise because he has babies, but was “intrigued” at the reception it got.
He said: “Anyway, getting home from the cinema, I was curious to see what people were saying about the movie, and what I discovered surprised me While most critics and many fans loved it as much as I did, there was also a passionate contingent who decidedly didn’t. I was intrigued. A lot of my favourite movies polarise audiences. Many, many voices had much to say, and I only got through reading a tiny speck of it, but right away, I noticed a recurring theme in the various objections.”

Tom Hanks was scared of Meryl Streep on The Post

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Hanks was “afraid” of Meryl Streep on the set of ‘The Post’.
The 61-year-old Academy Award winner stars alongside the fellow Oscar recipient in Steven Spielberg’s new movie – which marked the first time the two actors had ever worked together – and Hanks was initially in “awe” of his co-star.
Speaking to The I Paper, Hanks said: “I’m in awe of Meryl Streep.
“I was afraid of Meryl Streep. I did not know what to say to Meryl Streep.”
Hanks isn’t the only person on ‘The Post’ to pay tribute to Streep, 68, as Spielberg, 71, dubbed her the “greatest actress” working today.
He recently said: “Meryl is unquestionably the greatest actress working in America today. She has no peer.”
The film follows Katharine Graham (Streep) who, as the first female publisher of The Washington Post, relies on the help of editor Ben Bradlee (Hanks) to catch up with The New York Times to break the story of the classified Pentagon Papers, which expose the US government’s lies about the Vietnam War.
Together they must overcome their differences as they risk their careers to help bring the truths to light, whilst risking the future of the newspaper.
And Spielberg admitted he thinks it is absolutely the right time for the film to be released after he read the script last February.
He said: “I thought this was the right time to talk about freedom of the press, to celebrate the hard work of journalism, how good journalists hold themselves to their own principles, in order to tell the truth and be able to back up that truth with facts. We’re in the same situation today, only worse. They [American public] see the truth being labelled ‘fake’ or ‘alternative facts’ if it doesn’t please those who are calling it out.
“And I thought: this is the time to tell this story, when we can all become part of this national conversation.”

Samuel L. Jackson was robbed of Jurassic Park death scene by hurricane

OHMYGOSSIP — Samuel L. Jackson revealed his character’s death in ‘Jurassic Park’ was supposed to be shown in the film.
The 69-year-old actor played chief engineer John ‘Ray’ Arnold in Steven Spielberg’s iconic 1993 blockbuster , but the character was brutally killed by one of the escaped dinosaurs off-screen and only his dismembered arm was found by Dr. Ellie Sattler – played by Laura Dern.
However, Jackson’s alter ego was supposed to be seen by audiences being attacked by a giant reptile, but due to a hurricane he was unable to get to Hawaii to shoot his death scene.
Speaking to The A.V. Club, Jackson said: “I was actually supposed to go to Hawaii, to shoot my death scene, but there was a hurricane that destroyed all the sets, so I didn’t get to go. All you see is the residue of my body, my arm. But yeah, I was supposed to be on set.”
Jackson is one of Hollywood’s most prolific stars and has made over 175 movies – becoming known to new generations by his role as Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Despite all his big screen experience, the ‘Pulp Fiction’ star has no desire to step behind the camera because directing is such a laborious process.
He explained to Vulture: “I’m still not bitten by the directing bug. What’s keeping me from directing is the fact that directing takes up almost a year of your life, and when you direct a movie you’ve got to cut it and then you’ve got to be dealing with the music and then you’ve got to run around the world talking about it – and [as an actor] I could do four movies in that time.”
Although he is a frequent Quentin Tarantino collaborator, Jackson has no idea if he will be in the director’s upcoming movies, which include a new ‘Star Trek’ installment and Charles Manson biopic ‘Helter Skelter’.
Jackson said: “I never take anything for granted in the movie business! You can’t assume that you’re going to be in something just because you’ve been in all the rest of them. I can’t make that assumption. I’m not in ‘Death Proof’!”

Ryan Coogler compares Black Panther to James Bond

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Coogler said ‘Black Panther’ is the James Bond of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The 31-year-old filmmaker helmed the latest instalment of the MCU – which sees Chadwick Boseman star as Prince T’Challa aka Black Panther – and when Coogler was approached by Marvel Studios to direct the project was left very excited when bosses told him their vision for the character was for him to be like a superhero 007.
Speaking to Total Film magazine, Coogler said: “When I first started talking to Marvel, one thing they were interested in was for Panther to be their version of James Bond, which I thought was incredibly interesting and exciting. It was a really outside-of-the-box way to look at T’Challa. There are some Bond films that I really, really like, and it gave me the opportunity to go watch some other ones.”
The movie is based around the first ever black superhero in mainstream American comics who was created by legendary Marvel Comics writer Stan Lee and the equally iconic artist-and-writer Jack Kirby and first appeared in ‘Fantastic Four #52’ back in 1966.
The motion picture is expected to expand on the storyline that was first introduced in ‘Captain America: Civil War’ of how T’Challa becomes the superhero.
T’Challa’s father T’Chaka is king of the African nation Wakanda and has the ceremonial title Black Panther as the chief of the Panther Tribe, but is killed when a bomb goes off at the UN making his son the Black Panther.
The film stars Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, Forest Whitaker, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis – who are both reprising their roles as Everett K. Ross and Ulysses Klaue respectively in the new film.
When Total Film asked Wright if she thought the comparison between ‘Black Panther’ and author Ian Flemming’s James Bond was a fit, she agreed saying her character Shuri is like “T’Challa’s Q”.
She said: “Yeah, why not? She’s T’Challa’s Q. She’s by his side with the technology he needs. The way she helps him is really cool. I hope Shuri can help people. Maybe you’re in school right now, and super smart and super intelligent, and people may be saying ‘you’re a geek’ or whatever, making them feel bad. Maybe they can watch this film and be like ‘man! Being smart or a scientist or super great at math is not a bad thing at all.”
In the James Bond franchise, Q – whose initial stands for Quartermaster – is the head of Q Branch (later Division), the fictional research and development division of the British Secret Service and is responsible for equipping 007 with weapons and spy gadgets he could need in the field.
Q has appeared in 21 of the 24 Eon Productions movies – with the exceptions being ‘Live and Let Die’, ‘Casino Royale’ and ‘Quantum of Solace’.
‘Black Panther’ is slated for release in February 2018.

Dame Helen Mirren wants Fast and Furious return

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Helen Mirren would reprise her role in the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise.
The 72-year-old actress starred as Magdalene Shaw in the 2017 movie ‘The Fate of the Furious’ – which was the eighth instalment of the franchise – and has said that she would love to explore her character further after much of her storyline was left untold.
Speaking about whether she would return to her role, she said: “I hope so. I’m sort of quietly manoeuvring. But I love it, it would be brilliant. I love that character.”
Magdalene was introduced in the 2017 movie as the mother of longtime series rogues Deckard (Jason Statham) and Owen Shaw (Luke Evans), and although the role was fairly small, Helen’s character was clearly seen to be the real power behind the family name.
That power is reflected by Helen, who admitted her return rests on whether or not she would be to get behind the wheel of one of the franchise’s iconic cars.
Speaking to Yahoo! about whether she’d like to drive a car, she said: “This time, definitely. Absolutely. Essential, instead of being stuck in [the back seat].”
Although Helen would return to play Magdalene Shaw once again, a role she is definitely finished with is portraying Queen Elizabeth.
Helen starred as the 91-year-old monarch in 2006 movie ‘The Queen’, and has ruled out ever playing her on-screen again because she is concerned people will only think of her role as the royal when she passes away.
She said: “I wanted to kind of get away from that. I like to move forward, not back. It’s wonderful that I [portrayed Queen Elizabeth twice], it was wonderful that it was a success, but I didn’t want a headline when I’m knocked over by a bus to read ‘The Queen Knocked Over by Bus.’ ”

Charlie Hunnam for A Million Little Pieces

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlie Hunnam has joined the cast of ‘A Million Little Pieces’.
The ‘Sons of Anarchy’ star famously turned down the role of Christian Grey in the ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ movie, directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, but the pair will now work together on the big screen adaptation of James Frey’s bestselling book about battling addiction, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Charlie will play the brother of the lead character, 23-year-old alcohol and drug abuser James, a role that has already been filled by Sam’s husband Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
Billy Bob Thornton has also boarded the project as a mafia boss James meets in rehab, who becomes a great support in his recovery.
And ‘Blade Runner 2049’ actress Carla Juri has signed up to play the female lead, a crack and heroin addict who falls in love with James.
‘A Million Little Pieces’ tells the story of a 23-year-old alcoholic and drug abuser and deals with how he copes with rehabilitation in a 12 steps-orientated treatment centre.
Originally published as a memoir, it shot to the top of the bestseller list after being featured Oprah Winfrey’s book club in 2005.
But the book was hit by controversy when The Smoking Gun published an investigation claiming the book was a fake, which saw it remarketed as a ‘semi-fictional novel’.
Warner Bros. originally bought the rights to the book and set it up with producer Brad Pitt and his then-Plan B partners Jennifer Aniston and Brad Grey, but the project was later shelved.
Husband-and-wife team Sam, 50, and Aaron, 27, have brought it back into production.
The couple met when Sam directed Aaron in John Lennon biopic ‘Nowhere Boy’ in 2009.
In May last year, Sam talked about a secret project she is working on with her husband, and said: “We are already parents that run our house, so when we together it’s the best.”
