Stephanie Waring ‘confused’ by Dancing on Ic axe

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Waring thinks Lemar should have been axed from ‘Dancing on Ice’ because he tripped in the skate-off.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actress was given the boot from the competition last night (21.01.18) after she failed to impress head judge Jayne Torvill with her performance when she went head-to-head with the ‘If There’s Any Justice’ hitmaker in the skate-off.
But she has admitted she was very “confused” by the verdict because the 39-year-old singer – who is skating on his own and attempting one-legged spins and jumps – had a little stumble during his dance whereas she believed she had improved.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ today (22.01.18), she said: “The way I always thought ‘Dancing on Ice’ was was that the skate-off is just based on that skate and everyone has the chance to improve. You go on to improve.
“I wanted the opportunity to improve on my last skate and grow in the competition just as Lemar, as he does as well. So I was like, we can’t make a mistake, it all rests on this one skate. So I was very confused as to [the fact that] there was a trip and yet I’m the one to go home. It is a lot of hard work just down the toilet, really.”
And she has admitted she’s not the only one who was puzzled by the results.
She added: “I’ve had an incredible reaction from the fans and on Twitter. There has been a bit of outrage as well.”
Despite thinking he should have gone home, the 39-year-old actress – who was partnered with Sylvain Longchambon for the competition – found it hard dancing against Lemar because she had developed a strong friendship with him.
She explained: “I love Lemar, I really do he’s one of my closest friends on ‘Dancing on Ice’. So to be in the skate-off with him was actually quite difficult. To be in the skate-off with him, I didn’t want to be in that situation.”

Dancing on Ice’s studio is haunted by ghosts

OHMYGOSSIP — Dancing on Ice’s new studio is rumoured to be haunted by a creepy presence.
The rebooted skating show – which returned to screens three weeks ago after being off air for three years – is now based at Bovingdon Airfield in Hemel Hempstead, but bosses may be forced to find a different location as soon as possible as it’s believed the area, which is home to a number of derelict buildings, is occupied by ghosts.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: It’s likely many of the contestants and professional skaters have no idea they are performing somewhere that’s rumoured to be haunted. If the claims are to believed there’s a good chance something could happen during rehearsals or even while the show is on air.”
So many unexplained incidences have taken place there that the International Paranormal Society have been in to investigate in the past and they are convinced the area is being haunted by the ghosts of US airmen who were stationed there.
A source explained: “The mist has been seen by several people. They say it suddenly appears and is so thick you can’t see through it.
“One person is rumoured to have seen it late at night on the runway. Some friends were waiting in a car six metres away and they said it followed him. It was engulfing him.
“In another incident, one driver saw another vehicle get engulfed in the mist. ”
And it’s not just people who have been affected by the ghostly goings on as dog walkers have claimed a “presence” has been making their animals howl and try to escape.
Other people have heard the sounds of an aircraft and Morse Code, while others believe they have experienced a strange smell of bubblegum in the area.

Donna Air doing Dancing on Ice for daughter

OHMYGOSSIP — Donna Air agreed to do ‘Dancing on Ice’ to set an example for her daughter.
The former ‘Byker Grove’ actress raised eyebrows when she announced she was joining the line up for the now-current skating series, but she’s adamant it was a no-brainer when she was approached for the job because she wanted to teach her 14-year-old daughter Freya, whom she has with Damian Aspinall, to be “brave” in life.
Speaking to HELLO! magazine, she said: “Life is about experiences, and if you get the chance to do something you should grab it. The reason you don’t do things, quite often, is fear… I want to teach her to be brave. It’s okay to fail. What it’s not okay to do is not try, and to be scared… you have to lead by example …. The joy of getting older is that you get to a point where you don’t care. It would be a bit strange at my age if I was dominated by what people think. It’s liberating, getting older.”
The 38-year-old TV personality was supported by her on/off boyfriend James Middleton – the brother of the Duchess of Cambridge – when she first took to the ice last weekend and she has admitted, although she was initially concerned about having people she knew in the audience, she was “touched” that he came to see her.
Donna – who has been dating James for five years – said: “It’s been lovely to have the support of everyone. It’s quite funny because you think, ‘Oh I don’t want anyone there – it’s distracting. I just want to skate and get it done.’ But having people there – my closest – on the first skate was really helpful.”
Donna had a relatively unlucky start to the competition as her skates – which she had been breaking in for the past three months – were stolen from her car just days before she was meant to take to the ice.
But, despite the set back, the blonde beauty is proving to be one of the front runners in the competition as she pulled in some 6s from the judges in last night’s show.

Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo and Stanley Johnson to present show together

OHMYGOSSIP — Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo and Stanley Johnson are being lined up to host a show together.
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ star and the 77-year-old politician developed a close friendship at the end of last year when they both competed on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ in Australia and bonded over their love for politics.
But, although the 23-year-old beauty – who was crowned queen of the jungle – is in high demand, she’s still close with Stanley and bosses are keen to put them in front of the camera together to front their own series because they’re a “natural duo.”
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Stanley – the father of Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson – said: “I haven’t seen Toff since we got out of the jungle but I’ve absolutely kept in touch with her.
“In fact, we’re lined up to present a show together for ITV. They think we’re a natural TV duo. I can’t reveal too much about it, but I have a really good feeling about it.”
Toff’s career has rocketed since she won the creepy-crawly show last month and she’s being sent all over the world for different jobs, but she recently insisted that she’ll always have time for Stanley and he’s the only one she’s kept in touch with.
She explained: “I have kept in touch with Stanley. I like Stanley so much, we are going for supper. I have to call him back actually, I’ve been so naughty! He’s so sweet. He called me the other day and he was shouting. I said: ‘Where are you?’ And he replied: ‘IN THE CAR WASH!’ He’s just so classic.”
And, although she now has someone to help her get her foot on the ladder when it comes to politics, Toff doesn’t think she’s “clever” enough to run for parliament.
She said: “There have been a lot of crossover with celebrities and politics but to me, I don’t think I would go into politics. Perhaps when I’m a lot older.
“I don’t think I’m intelligent to become an MP! I have my opinions but to go into politics you have to be very clever, which I’m not!

Max Evans’ chemistry with ice skating star Ale Izquierdo

OHMYGOSSIP — Max Evans took it as a “compliment” that the ‘Dancing on Ice’ judges thought something was going on between him and his professional ice skating partner.
The rugby star – who is dating Lauren Jamieson – was thrilled when Ashley Banjo asked what was going on between him and ice skating star Ale Izquierdo because it showed how much chemistry they were able to feign in their performance.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Lauren is a dancer so she understands the need for chemistry to bring more to the performance. Our performance was full of romance and love. It was a compliment that the judges said we had such great chemistry. Lauren was buzzing that we smashed it. She was so happy and so supportive.”
Teasing the pair, Ashley said: “I loved that, slower paced routines are more exposing. I don’t know what’s going on between the two of you, you were so solid and so confident. Great job, can’t wait to see what’s to come … I should have checked if you had a girlfriend.”
Meanwhile, Ale had previously described Max as a “beautiful, graceful gentleman”.
She said: “You can tell there’s a connection there, and he’s turning from a big gorilla into a beautiful, graceful gentleman … I was believing in him 100 percent.”
And Max added at the time: “It was the most nerve-wracking thing I’ve done in my life.”
At New Year’s, the 34-year-old sportsman posted a sweet message and thanked his partner for always making him happy.
He shared: “My main goal every day is be happy. No matter what trials I face, no matter how old I get. Happiness is the key to all things great! You make me overwhelmingly happy. Have an incredible year everyone.”

Celebrity Big Brother stars face backdoor eviction

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ contestants Daniel O’Reilly, Ann Widdecombe, John Barnes and Amanda Barrie all face eviction from the house tonight (22.01.18).
Housemates were asked to nominate for a backdoor eviction, which will be decided by whoever loses a series of tasks, and not by a public vote.
The women had to choose two men, and the male housemates had to pick two female housemates who would also face eviction.
The men and women are now being pitted against each other in a series of tasks and the winning team will decide who from the losing side will leave.
The chosen celebrity will be evicted through the backdoor with no live audience or fanfare.
Comedian Daniel, aka Dapper Laughs, did not take the news he is facing eviction well.
Tasks so far have included who can hold a feather up for the longest time.
Meanwhile, the house faced a security breach at the weekend when two YouTube pranksters managed to break into the house and film footage of the celebrities.
Ally Law and Ryan Taylor have claimed they broke into the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ compound and filmed through the glass doors.
They shared footage of housemates Ginuwine and Jonny Mithcell standing at the bottom of the stairs on Snapchat. Another clip showed Ashley James and Ann Widdecombe standing in the living room.
Ally has told his followers in a video posted online that due to legal reasons they are curretly unable to share full details of the break-in.
‘Celebrity Big Brother’ producers confirmed the security breach to The Sun Online, saying: “Two intruders were apprehended by security at Elstree Studios. The safety of housemates, production and audience members is of paramount importance and Big Brother has appropriate security measures in place at all times.”

X Factor bosses aren’t worried about ratings

OHMYGOSSIP — Dermot O’Leary insists ‘X Factor’ bosses aren’t worried about ratings.
The talent contest may have seen viewing figures fall over the years, but the 44-year-old presenter claims there is no “pressure” on them to do better as everyone involved with the programme understands that viewing on demand services have changed the way people watch TV so ratings figures aren’t necessarily a reliable indicator of performance and popularity.
He said: “Do you know what we are? We’re very comfortable in our own skin now.
“We’ve been doing it for so long, we all love doing it and we’re not under any pressure from the channel.
“We’re still rating well, it’s just not where it was.
“We all know the world we started making that show in – people watch telly in a completely different way now.
“So you take solace in the fact that Grace Davies has had that many hits, or Rak-Su have had three out of the top five singles on iTunes.”
Though Dermot hopes the judges from last year, Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger, are still around for the 2018 contest, he’d also be happy if Cheryl Tweedy makes her rumoured return to the panel.
Asked if he can see any of the judges leaving, he told OK! magazine: “Oh I hope not. I look at different judging years like wines – like, oh I like my 2012s.
“I think you develop relationships with people and miss them when they’re not around, but then you haven’t seen someone for a couple of years and they come back into your life and it’s really nice.
“Cheryl’s a lovely person so I’d be lying if I said it’s not nice to work with her as it’s really lovely to work with her. And she pulled a blinder at Judges’ Houses – she was like, ‘I don’t think they’re up to it.’ ”

Stephanie Waring leaves Dancing On Ice

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Waring has been booted from ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The 39-year-old actress and her professional partner Sylvain Longchambon faced the dreaded skate-off on Sunday (21.01.18) night’s live episode of the ITV ice-skating competition, where she battled it out against Lemar, but unfortunately found herself kicked from the show when the judges favoured the singer’s routine.
Speaking after the results, an emotional Stephanie said: “You know what? I’ve had the most amazing time, and I’m really proud of myself. Thank you to everyone, thank you Sylvain.”
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actress was saved by judges Ashley Banjo and Jason Gardiner, but after Christopher Dean – one half of legendary ice-skating duo Torvill and Dean – chose to save Lemar, it was up to this week’s head judge Jane Torvill to cast the deciding vote.
She ultimately chose to save Lemar based on the skating content within his routine, meaning it was Stephanie who found herself being sent home.
Stephanie is the second contestant to be eliminated from the celebrity ice-skating competition after former ‘Great British Bake Off’ winner Candice Brown became the first to be voted off last week.
For the actress, her eviction comes after she was left with fluid in her knee at the end of last month, as a result of suffering injuries during training.
She said at the time: “I’ve hurt my hand but it’s not serious and it’s out of strap now. And my knee’s a bit swollen, I’ve got a bit of fluid in my knee. I’m falling over more as the weeks are going by and I’m not sure if that’s because I’m pushing myself harder and doing more technical things …
“I wanted to do it so bad. I’m not a skater or a dancer so I forget when we do the routines … I’m forgetting about my body and what my face is doing.”

Harry Styles tipped to be next 007

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Styles has been tipped to take over from Daniel Craig as James Bond.
The One Direction star made his acting debut in Christopher Nolan’s war movie ‘Dunkirk’ last year, and the editor of ‘Spectre’, Lee Smith – who cut all of Nolan’s previous flicks – thinks the 23-year-old hunk could be perfect for job, should they hire someone “younger” and have Nolan helm the franchise.
Smith said: “Harry could do it. If they wanted a younger Bond then why not? He has got it.”
Whether or not the ‘Sign of the Times’ hitmaker is ever cast in the titular spy role, Smith says he can see Harry going onto big things if he continues his movie career.
Smith told the Daily Star newspaper: “Harry is really good and he can go all the way. He is an exceptional talent and a complete natural on camera.
“You would have thought you were dealing with a guy with many years of experience. You would never know that [‘Dunkirk’] was his first film. I didn’t know who Harry was.
“Of course my daughter explained to me that you don’t get any more famous than Harry Styles. But he was really good and a genuinely charismatic fellow. If he wants to act, I cannot imagine he would not have a great future.
“And Chris [Nolan] would bring the most amazing detail that any director could bring to any project, be it Bond or anything else.”
Harry wouldn’t be the first ‘Dunkirk’ star linked to 007, as his co-star Tom Hardy was too rumoured for the part.
He joined the likes of Tom Hiddleston, Aidan Turner and Damian Lewis tipped to take on the Secret Service agent.
Hardy previously said he’d love to see Nolan direct a Bond movie, but said he “couldn’t possibly” comment on the rumours he’s lined up to replace Craig, who is set to bow out after the next instalment, which is slated for release in 2019.
He said: “Oh, wow, Chris would be amazing! Wow, that would be cool. That would be so cool.”
Quizzed on whether he’d be up for the iconic part, he replied: “You know, there’s a saying amongst us in the fraternity of acting, and in the fellowship of my peer group, that if you talk about it, you’re automatically out of the race. So I can’t possibly comment on that one! If I mention it, it’s gone.”

The Shape of Water wins biggest accolade at Producers Guild Awards

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Shape of Water’ won Best Theatrical Motion Picture at the Producers Guild Awards on Saturday night (20.01.18).
The fantasy romance’s director Guillermo del Toro was unable to collect the accolade at the 29th Annual ceremony held at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles, due to caring for his ailing father in Mexico, but the movie’s co-producer, J. Miles Dale, was there and made a short speech after being handed the statuette.
The filmmaker joked about how it was hard to win-over audiences with a flick that has a cleaner [Sally Hawkins] and an amphibian man [Doug Jones] as the main characters.
He quipped: “When your romantic leads are a cleaning lady and a fish, it’s a tough sell.”
The heartwarming feature beat off stiff competition from the likes of ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing’, Missouri’, ‘Lady Bird’, ‘Get Out’, ‘Dunkirk’, ‘The Post’, ‘Call Me By Your Name’, ‘I, Tonya’, ‘Wonder Woman’ and ‘Molly’s Game’.
‘Coco’ won Outstanding Producer of Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures and ‘Jane’, which sees the real-life scientist Jane Goodall open up about her life and work, received the equivalent in the Documentary category.
It was previously revealed that Ava DuVernay was the recipient of Producers Guild’s Visionary Award.
The ‘Selma’ helmer admitted she was delighted with the recognition.
She tweeted: “This is so lovely and unexpected. I love producing. Almost as much as directing. So you know that’s a lot! My thanks to @ProducersGuild for this encouraging recognition. (sic)”
DuVernay’s emergence in the movie industry was hailed as one of the “great developments of the past several years”.
Producers Guild Awards chairs Donald De Line and Amy Pascal said in a statement: “The emergence of Ava DuVernay as a producer and filmmaker has been one of the great developments of the past several years.
“Whether in scripted features, television or documentaries, her unique voice, skill and passion have inspired countless audiences throughout our country and around the world.”
The 45-year-old director follows in the footsteps of the likes of Brad Pitt, Megan Ellison, Laura Ziskin, and Jeff Skoll in winning the accolade.

Michael B Jordan went to dark place

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael B. Jordan went to a “dark place” filming ‘Black Panther’.
The 30-year-old actor was inspired by the likes of Michael Fassbender and the late Heath Ledger when it came to throwing himself into his portrayal of villain Erik Killmonger in the upcoming Marvel adventure, and he admitted the role stayed with him for some time afterwards.
He said: “It took me to a dark place. Honestly, I can’t really go through all I went through to get into it because I want to keep that close to me.
“But it stuck with me afterwards.
“You see performances as an actor and as a fan, you look at Heath Ledger’s performance in say, ‘The Dark Knight’ and it’s like, ‘Wow’. I want to try to get something like that. You want Michael Fassbender’s Magneto.
“Just trying to find my place amongst those roles and strive for that, even if I don’t make it.”
The role was a challenge for Michael because the character is so different to who he really is.
He said: “For me, this is a chance for me to go furthest away from who I am.
“As far as just the darkness of the guy, because the guy was really dark, even though you may empathise with him and understand his point of view.
“I think the greatest villains are the ones where you can see their point of view.”
The actor had a “lot of fun” working with Chadwick Boseman, who plays the titular character, and thinks his co-star is “very talented”.
He told Empire magazine: “Chadwick is a very talented dude. He’s lived with this character for a movie already.
“He had to mentally establish who this guy is and he has that sense of confidence and understanding when he comes on set.
“There’s definitely an understanding of where we’re both coming from. Of finding out what our characters want and need.
“We had a lot of fun on set. There’s a lot of physical moments and action sequences throughout this film that caused us to really challenge ourselves and fall deeper into character.”

Gemma Atkinson is not dating anyone

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Atkinson has laughed off rumours she’s dating ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional Gorka Marquez.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ star has said she’s very much single and poured cold water on speculation that she has been enjoying a romance with the dancer, who was partnered with Alexandra Burke on the BBC One ballroom and latin show.
According to the Daily Mirror on Sunday newspaper, the busty blonde beauty said of the rumours: “I don’t think anything of it.
“I know what’s going on in my life so whatever everyone else wants to think I just let them think it because I know.”
Despite being single, the ‘Emmerdale’ star previously said she would love to settle down and get married one day, but wants to find the right person first.
She said: “No, I’m not dating anyone at the moment. I wish I was. It’s like I go through phases. I said to my mum the other day, ‘It’d be nice to have a fella.’ Then the day after, I was like, ‘I’m so glad I’m on my own!’
“I’d much rather be on my own and be happy than be in the wrong situation with the wrong person. I would love marriage and I would love kids, but not until I’m in a place where I’m ready for them. I don’t want to just fit the mould because I’m running out of time. No chance!”
At the start of ‘Strictly’, Gemma confessed she was hoping to find love on the programme.
She said: “I’ve been single for ages so there wouldn’t be any curse for me. It would be a blessing.”
However, the 33-year-old actress insisted she wanted to put all of her energy into the challenging dance routines than a man.
She revealed: “Maybe once the series is over, but not right now … we’ll see what happens. I know people want to see a Strictly romance but I’m not going to be giving you any I’m afraid, because I’m so focused on my dancing.”

Kem Cetinay is happy single

OHMYGOSSIP — Kem Cetinay doesn’t want to get back together with Amber Davies.
The ‘Love Island’ winner was left devastated just before Christmas when he and the brunette beauty decided to call it quits following five months of dating but, although she’s said there’s a chance for a reunion, he’s adamant that he’s happy being single and is focusing on ‘Dancing On Ice’ for now.
He said: “If I’m really honest, I’m happy being single. I feel in a really good place at the moment. My head feels clear. I want to keep concentrating on skating.”
But, although he’s not thinking about rekindling their romance right now, the 21-year-old hunk still speaks to Amber regularly but understands that they’ll never speak to the degree they did before.
He explained: “You’re never going to speak as much as before, but I don’t like splitting up and never speaking to that person again.
“I still check up on her and look out for her because she was part of my life. I still care.”
And he’s glad the 21-year-old dancer is still supporting his skating venture on the ITV show.
He added to new! magazine: “I told her before the split that she could come and watch me life. I’m glad she’s tuning in. I’m sure she’s laughed at my routines.”
Kem set tongues wagging last weekend when Scarlett Moffatt was spotted supporting him in the studio audience but he’s adamant they’re just friends and will never get together romantically.
He said: “Amber knows we’re just friends. Scarlett’s a nice girl and I can take a lot of advice off her because she’s doing so well in the industry. She looks out for me and she’s just a good friend.”

Dermot O’Leary: It’s great to see Ant back with Dec

OHMYGOSSIP — Dermot O’Leary is thrilled to see Ant McPartlin back on TV screens with his presenting partner Declan Donnelly.
The 44-year-old presenter – who will host Tuesday’s (23.01.18) National Television Awards – is good pals with the Geordie pair and is always texting them to see how they are getting on, and has enjoyed seeing Ant bounce back after a tough year, which saw him have a stint in rehab and file for divorce from his wife Lisa Armstrong.
Dermot told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It’s great to see the boys back on, back working together. I text both of them a fair bit – but it would be ungallant for me to share those.”
Ant confirmed last week that he and his spouse are ending their 11-year marriage after a turbulent 12 months in which the TV star was admitted to rehab after becoming reliant on alcohol and drugs following a botched knee operation.
His representative said: “In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after 11 years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin.
“Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families.
“No further statement will be made.”
The 42-year-old heartthrob and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ make-up artist Lisa, 41, have known each other for 23 years and tied the knot in 2006.
He previously admitted he put his partner “through hell” because of his “mood swings” when he battled with depression and struggled with addiction.
The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ host had said that things started to spiral out of control two years ago when he had an operation to fix cartilage in his right knee.
In a bid to numb the pain, Ant began taking the prescription drug Tramadol and soon realised that he’d become hooked on the painkiller, which can cause speech disturbances, lack of co-ordination, headaches and drowsiness.
Speaking previously, the ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ star said: “I’ve put Lisa through hell with mood swings and depression and how it affects you.
“I’m very sorry about the effect it has on partners. This kind of stuff puts strains on any marriage.”

Jake Quickenden invites Dancing on Ice stars to wedding

OHMYGOSSIP — Jake Quickenden has invited his ‘Dancing on Ice’ co-stars to his wedding.
The 29-year-old hunk is set to tie the knot to Danielle Fogarty – the daughter of former motorcycle racer Carl Fogarty – later this year, and says the list for his forthcoming nuptials is extending after becoming close to his celebrity competitors, which include Kem Cetinay and Brooke Vincent, on the ITV show.
The former ‘X Factor’ contestant – who is partnered with professional ice skater Vanessa Bauer on the programme – told the Daily Mirror newspaper; “I’ve already started inviting everyone. It’ll be at the end of the year.
“Danielle’s looking for dresses. She’s doing most of the organising as she’s the boss.”
Jake says he hopes people vote him in for his skating talent, not just his good looks.
Asked if he likes the raunchy outfits he has to wear, he said: “Who doesn’t want to dress up and wear sparkly stuff? But it’s pretty freezing on that ice so hot pants are a no. I’ve done the topless thing in the jungle. I want people to vote because of my skating, not because I’m flashing the flesh.”
Meanwhile, Jake previously spent hours on treatment to get the hair follicles from the back of his head moved to the front to improve his mop because he wants to look good on his wedding day, before he was engaged to Danielle.
He said: “Even now, getting ready can take me an hour trying to make sure it’s covered up.
“If I was going out and I didn’t have my spray on me I’d get really paranoid that someone was going to say, ‘God, you’re going bald’. This had to be done — I want to get married with hair.”
Jake admitted Danielle – who he met after appearing on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ with her father – said she thinks her boyfriend was “mad” to undergo the treatment when his hair looks “absolutely fine”.

Brooke Vincent ‘nervous’ about Dancing on Ice

OHMYGOSSIP — Brooke Vincent feels “physically sick” about taking part in ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress is “excited” to be competing in the celebrity skating competition but because the show is live, she feels very nervous before stepping out onto the rink in front of judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and Jason Gardiner.
She said: “I’m so excited to be taking part in the show. There’s been so much buzz around it this year, but I’m trembling at the thought of being on the ice.
“Honestly, I feel physically sick because it’s live and anything could happen.
“My friend [and former contestant] Samia Ghadie knows how I feel and has been trying to put me at ease.”
Ahead of the show starting, Brooke quit smoking and embarked on a 12-week health and fitness regime and feels much better for it.
She said: “For so long I’d wake up feeling sluggish and my skin was horrendous.
“I wanted to be in the best shape for ‘Dancing On Ice’ and feel healthier.
“I’ve always suffered with body insecurities, especially over my thighs, but now my legs and arms feel tones and my core is stronger.
“I’ve never worked so hard for anything and this is the best I’ve felt.”
The 25-year-old star’s eating habits used to be so bad, she’d eat up to four takeaways a day.
She told Closer magazine: “I was a binge eater. Sometimes, I’d be eating my first meal in the afternoon or I’d pick between scenes.
“On a Saturday night, I’d have a McDonalds before heading out, then I’d bring another one home before having another for breakfast the next day.
“For lunch I’d have KFC, followed by a chippy for tea – that’s how bad it was.
“I lived that way for years because it was easy and it was the food I was used to, but now my meals are high in protein with some good carbs and generally very low in sugar.”
