Josh Brolin had Avengers ignorance

OHMYGOSSIP — Josh Brolin claims he didn’t know how ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ ended.
The 51-year-old actor’s Thanos seemingly destroyed many of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)’s most beloved characters in the 2018 blockbuster but he didn’t realise it would be the final scene of the movie until its premiere.
Asked when he first saw the ending, he said: “I’m at the premiere, watching the movie. Everybody stars disintegrating. I go, ‘What the f**k?’
“I look over at [Chris] Hemsworth and he does a cutthroat motion, like, ‘You’re going to be the most hated person on this planet.’…
“Maybe they did tell me. I obviously didn’t remember.”
Part two of the movie, ‘Avengers: Endgame’ is released later this month and Josh claimed he has no idea what will happen in the next installment either.
He said: “You don’t know what the movie’s about. I don’t f***ing know what the movie’s about.
“It may just be [Thanos] Colonel Kurtzing it, watching the corn grow.”
While it’s over a year since ‘Infinity War’ was released, the actor admitted some fans are still “seething” and blame him for the events in the film.
He told Empire magazine: “My only social media is Instagram.
“Once in a while I’ll post something that has nothing to do with ‘Avengers’ and I’ll see a comment like, ‘You killed half the universe, f**k you.’
“There are obviously people out there seething still who don’t perceive me as an actor. They think I’m in my house, purple.”

Joshua ‘JP’ Patterson was in the ‘darkest’ place in 2018

OHMYGOSSIP — Joshua ‘JP’ Patterson experienced “one of the darkest” years of his life in 2018.
The former ‘Made in Chelsea’ star found it “crippling” watching his fitness business Mahara go bankrupt and his split from Binky Felstead – with whom he has 22-month-old daughter India – last year “incredibly tough” because he the couple feared how it would “impact” their little girl’s life.
Speaking to the latest issue of OK! Magazine, he admitted: “My business – women’s fitness brand Mahara – collapsed. It’s crippling.
“I think the announcement of Binks and I breaking up was incredibly tough to take because we have a daughter.
“I think the both of us had such a fear of what impact that may have in her life and our family’s lives.”
However, JP and Binky have no trouble co-parenting the tot despite living in different parts of the country.
He said: “We do a lot together. Binks comes to Norfolk and I go to Sussex. You’re naturally going to get people that are confused by it but I say f*** off because you’ve got to do what works for your family and what makes you happy. I know how happy India is when she sees her mum and dad together and that makes us both happy.”
The 29-year-old reality star hit “rock bottom” back in 2015 and contemplated committing suicide and he admitted that it was a “stupid decision because he realised in the moment he has “a bigger purpose” in life.

CJ de Mooi is ‘dying’ from AIDS and about to lose his home

OHMYGOSSIP — Former ‘Eggheads’ star CJ de Mooi is “dying” from AIDs and facing be made homeless.
The ex-quizzer, 49, used to be a regular on the BBC One show, until he was given the boot in 2016, when he was wrongly accused of sexual assault.
He also faced being extradited to the Netherlands after being detained under a European arrest warrant at Heathrow Airport accused of manslaughter, murder, assault and battery in Amsterdam in 1988.
Although all the charges were dropped, CJ has used up all his money on legal bills and was made bankrupt in September.
The former model – who has found solace in running – took to his Twitter account on Sunday (21.04.19) to reveal he has spent the past three decades fighting the life-threatening infection and that he may not have long “left”.
He wrote: “I’ve been living with AIDS for 30 years but the agony of the last 3 years means I may not have many left. I’m outwardly healthy, still running and am staying positive I can get better.
Thank you all for your love and if I can do anything to help any of you, please just ask. CJ (sic)”
CJ – who lives in Caldicot, Monmouthshire, with his husband Andrew Doran – has help running his profile on the micro-blogging app by his friend Joe, who has asked for donations via a crowdfunding campaign to help his friend who is “about to lose his home”.
He said: “CJ’s life is ruined, he is dying and about to lose his home…
“Thank you so much to everyone who donated, commented, retweeted or sent support.
“You are amazing as is the £3348.72 raised for CJ so far.
“If he somehow manages to save his house, it will all be repaid or go to charity. Joe.”
Joe said that the money would be “repaid” if he does manage to keep a roof over his head.
He added “Thank you so much to everyone who donated, commented, retweeted or sent support. You are amazing as is the £3348.72 raised for CJ so far. If he somehow manages to save his house, it will all be repaid or go to charity. Joe.”
CJ previously opened up about the incident in 1988 in his tome ‘CJ – The Autobiography of CJ de Mooi’ and explained how he fended off a knife-wielding man and “half-punched, half-pushed” him into the canal after he tried to steal from him, but profusely denied that he had “killed” him.
He said: “This warrant seems to have been issued because of what I said and wrote in my autobiography – they claim in my autobiography I wrote that I killed a man, I left him for dead, I knocked him unconscious.
“I didn’t. Nowhere in my book does it say that, if you please just read the book, all it says is a guy came up behind me with a knife and tried to mug me and the words in the autobiography are: ‘I half-punched, half-pushed him into a canal and walked away’, that is all it says.”

James Argent makes debut presenting Good Morning Britain

OHMYGOSSIP — James ‘Arg’ Argent made his debut presenting ‘Good Morning Britain’ on Monday (22.04.19).
The reality star – who is dating his ‘The Only Way is Essex’ co-star Gemma Collins – stood in for Richard Arnold on the early morning show and revealed he had dropped his phone in the bath whilst listening to Beyonce before arriving for his shift.
As they played the pop superstar’s song ‘Halo’, James, who sang along, said: “I’m not going to lie, this morning I put on Halo by Beyonce, Gemma is a huge fan.
“Here we go, Halo, I had this on, but I dropped my phone in the bath and I started panicking. But luckily it’s waterproof.”
The 31-year-old television personality – who is eight months sober after he went to rehab for the third time to battle alcohol and drug addictions last year – also turned down a Mojito live on air as his co-host Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley bantered over Labour MP Dianne Abbot having a sneaky can of the cocktail drink on an overgrown train over Easter weekend.
Arg politely turned down the offer, and said: “Do you know what, I’m going to say no. I’m eight months clean and sober.”
He continued: “It was a decision I made eight months ago but I’m not against her having a good time.
“I was thinking is she (Abbot) an Essex girl? That is very much an Essex girl thing to do.
“I feel fantastic.”
Arg had previously revealed he prepared for the presenting gig by watching Richard in action last month.
The ITV show’s Entertainment Editor said: “Arg is my apprentice today because he’s filling in for me on Easter Monday.”
His apprentice then quipped: “You’re Mr Miyagi and I’m the Karate Kid.”

Charlize Theron ‘blessed’ to work with Seth Rogen

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlize Theron feels “blessed” to star with Seth Rogen in ‘Long Shot’.
The 43-year-old actress has been a “fan” of the 38-year-old actor and all his movies for a long time so was delighted to work with him in the comedy.
She said: “I’ve been a sincere, down to the core of my body, fan of Seth Rogen’s.
“I have watched everything that he’s touched and never in a million years did I think I would be in a movie with him, so I am hashtag blessed.”
In the movie, Seth plays a journalist who is spending time with Charlize, a presidential hopeful who also happens to be his former babysitter, and the South African star admitted the lighter fare was very different for her.
She laughed in an interview with Britain’s OK! Magazine: “I usually die or kill people in my movies, or get assaulted. This is not my wheelhouse.”
Meanwhile, Seth recently claimed he’d waited years to make the movie because he was desperate to work with Charlize on it but felt he needed to prove himself first.
He said: “I really only wanted to make the movie with her, and it took me seven years to get successful enough to get Charlize Theron in our movie.”
Seth – who also produced the movie with his co-star – felt it was important to take the story back to comedy basics.
He said: “What if we made the kind of movie I grew up watching that is actually romantic and actually funny?”
And the pair both think they’ve made a movie that feels realistic.
Seth teased: “Sparks fly”.
Charlize added: “It felt like we could go and explore a real relationship.”

Tom Hughes praises Dame Judi Dench

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Hughes found it a “real pleasure” getting to spend time with Dame Judi Dench on ‘Red Joan’.
The legendary actress portrays Joan Stanley, who was arrested by the British Secret Service for being a traitor who served as a spy for the KGB, while the ‘Victoria’ actor plays Communist Leo, who the young Joan (Sophie Cookson) fell in love with, and though the format of the film meant they didn’t share scenes, he was just happy to be on a set with the screen icon.
He said: “Someone asked me, ‘What’s it like to be in a film with Judi Dench, and not be in a film with her?’, but for me, it was just a real pleasure to meet her and be able to talk to her.
“Sophie is the one creating the character with Judi, so that pressure fell on her.
“From the small amount of time that I spent with Judi, she was the most incredibly gracious and kind human being. She gave Sophie that strength.
“It was exciting actually to know that we were sharing that story with someone like Judi.”
And the 33-year-old actor also heaped praise on “astounding” Sophie, admitting she really helped with his own performance.
He told Collider: “I think Sophie is quite an astounding actor. She was great to work with.
“(Director) Trevor Nunn has worked with Judi Dench, many, many times, and he found it quite astonishing to direct Sophie. He’d be like, ‘God, it’s just like directing a young Judi.’
“Even in their personalities, Sophie has a wicked playfulness, as a human, and she brought a real excitement to the scenes. It was rarely linear and it was rarely obvious, and that was exciting for me.
” When you’re playing a character like Leo, although he’s definitely had a very dark past, in terms of the pain that he’s gone through, and his anguish and all of that, that velocity has a firecracker element. You need to be with an actor that you can really bounce off, and it was great to have Sophie to work with.”

Taron Egerton lived with Sir Elton John to prepare for Rocketman role

OHMYGOSSIP — Taron Egerton lived with Sir Elton John to research for ‘Rocketman’.
The 29-year-old actor plays the ‘Your Song’ hitmaker in the new biopic about his life and he has revealed he ended up living with John to get to know him better.
He said: “I spent a fair bit of time with him before we started shooting. He didn’t come on set, thank God, I’d have found that really hard. But I went and stayed with him before we started shooting and he let me read his diaries and I hung out with him and got to ask him thing … which certainly protects me a bit.
“He lends a bit of an air of authenticity and it gives this a bit of a seal of approval really, which is great. I still speak to him once or twice a week now. He’s very in my life. It’s nice … and a bit f***ing surreal!”
And Egerton has also opened up about the process he underwent to sound more like the famous singer – as he admits it is “inevitable” that there’s a bit of himself in there.
He added: “I have to say, I think when your primary objective is sounding like someone, then you slightly sacrifice a purity of expression and a real humanity. It can become a little bit sterile … And I absolutely didn’t want to do that because this is about illuminating someone’s life and what’s really going on with them.
“So there’s inevitably a bit of Taron in there because we’re talking about the spirit of someone and about their inner life and their drug addiction, not about the way they move their mouth in an interview.”
The ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’ star is glad they are telling John’s story in “a slightly less conventional way” as it gave him a “little more licence” as an actor.
Speaking to Man About Town magazine, he shared: “For me, it’s really fun telling this story in a slightly less conventional way because it means you can bend the character slightly. So me running around like a lunatic and dancing as if my life depended on it in this kind of wild, anarchic way, is not necessarily something we’ve seen Elton John do before. But that’s fun. We get that little more license.”

Andrea McLean ‘struggled emotionally’ on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrea Mclean “struggled emotionally” when she took part in ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’.
The ‘Loose Women’ panellist – who has previously opened up about battling anxiety – broke down in tears on the show when she relived a terrifying memory from her past that she refuses to speak about, and the star admitted she is now considering therapy to get over her past trauma.
She said: “While taking part in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, I struggled emotionally when [lead instructor] Ant Middleton shouted at me, as it brought back dark times. Memories I thought I’d pushed so far down into my head that they weren’t there anymore.
“But I realised that putting memories into a box and thinking ‘I’m not going to look at that anymore’ doesn’t mean they’re gone. I’ve realised I’ve got to confront them and address a few things. I haven’t decided what the best course of action is yet, but possibly therapy. I don’t want to break down again like I did on there.”
‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins for Stand Up to Cancer’ 2019 puts 12 stars on gruelling seven-day slog which is led by chief instructor and former soldier Ant Middleton.
And Andrea will be running the Vitality London 10k in her underwear next month, and she revealed that now she is approaching her 50’s, she will be saying yes to “everything”.
She told Closer magazine: “I’m 50 this year, and I’ve decided I’m now going to say yes to everything. Anything I think is a bit uncomfortable, challenges me or pushes me out of my comfort zone, I’m going to sign up to do. I’m doing a 10k run in my underwear for charity this month, which is bonkers, but exactly the kind of thing I should be saying yes to.
“Sometimes doing activities isn’t about enjoying them, but proving to yourself you can do them, and it feels great.”

Ned Porteous dating actress Lucy Heath

OHMYGOSSIP — Ned Porteous has found love with Lucy Heath.
The ‘Emmerdale’ star – who plays Joe Tate in the ITV soap – has been dating the American actress after meeting her in the United States.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “It’s early days but Ned is really enjoying dating Lucy. They have both been in America recently looking for work and grew really close. Ned usually likes to keep his love life private but has been taking Lucy to various events both in London and Los Angeles. They have loads in common with their acting work and make a great looking couple – it’s just Ned’s fan who are gutted!”
Ned headed to America to try and land some acting roles out there but first, he was looking forward to having some well-earned time off.
He said previously: “I haven’t had a holiday for a very long time so I’m desperate first to get out to America. I’ve got management out there so I want to try my hand with the American casting system and then go on a little holiday. I think, I will turn my phone off, go climbing, go camping, go fishing.”
Joe was thought to have met a grisly end during his exit scenes last year – but it has now been revealed that he is still alive. Speaking when the scenes aired, Ned insisted he loved being part of the dramatic storyline.
He shared: “It was tremendously exciting filming all of this last bit to the story as there had been a lot of build up to this point. We knew the course of this storyline for a good deal of weeks beforehand, so we had a lot of time to emotionally prepare for what was going on in the scripts. But I think I personally just focused on the work and concentrated on just producing some really good final scenes. I don’t suppose I really had thought too much about the fact I was actually going to be leaving.”

Claire Denis was ‘afraid’ of Robert Pattinson casting in High Life

OHMYGOSSIP — Claire Denis was “a little afraid” of casting Robert Pattinson in ‘High Life’.
The French filmmaker makes her English-language debut with the science fiction drama, and she admitted while she had some concerns about bringing in such a well-known actor for the leading role of Monte.
Speaking to the A.V. Club, she said: “Oh, no. With Robert, I was a little afraid. I thought maybe that he was too young, maybe too iconic. “But we got along so well, and he understood everything so well. I forgot who he was. With Robert, it’s easy to forget. He is very graceful and easy to work with.
“He’s very intelligent. You don’t spend every week going, ‘Oh my god, I’m working with a movie star.’ ”
The movie tells the story of a group of criminals tricked into going on a mission on a spaceship heading towards a black hole to find an alternate energy source.
While under the impression they would be freed if they went on the journey, they are sexually experimented on by scientists on board the ship.
Denis, 72 explained there is no vanity when it comes to the Hollywood star, adding that Pattinson’s interests lie in making movies rather than being famous.
She said: “Not at all. And he’s interested in making movies. He’s always watching. He likes the work.”
Meanwhile, Pattinson, 32, recently revealed he is able to enjoy the ‘Twilight’ era of his career now the “intense mania” that surrounded the franchise has cooled down.
He explained: “It’s lovely now that the mania is not so intense. People come up [to me] and just have very fond memories of it. It’s a really sweet thing.
“I think the only scary part was right in the thick of it all, when it was very, very intense. Now the intensity has died down and it’s just very warm memories.”

Isaac Hempstead Wright’s ‘intense stare’ is because he is ‘blind’

The 19-year-old actor – who plays Bran Stark in the HBO fantasy drama series – left fans deeply unsettled during the first episode of season eight when his character, the Three-Eyed Raven, stared at Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) as he arrived at Westeros.
And Isaac has admitted that the key component to making his intense glare look so “good” is not wearing his glasses or contact lenses, so he actually can’t see any of the characters on set.
Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live, he said: “I’m getting good at this intense stare but it’s actually aided by the fact I’m completely blind when I’m on set. I don’t have my glasses and I don’t have contact lenses.”
Isaac recalled when he was doing a scene with Sophie Turner – who plays Sansa Stark – and how she found the stare to be very deep until he explained what was actually going on.

OHMYGOSSIP — Stacey Dooley has been urged to separate herself from ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ partner Kevin Clifton.

Hanna Miraftab says Real Housewives left her ‘stressed’ and ‘struggling’

OHMYGOSSIP — Hanna Miraftab says starring on ‘The Real Housewives of Cheshire’ left her “stressed” and “struggling”.
The 31-year-old dentist has admitted that she’s found her time on the show “hard” and says she finds it difficult to balance her work life with the programme, comparing her plight to that of “Clark Kent and Batman”.
Hanna told The Sun: “I’m not going to lie, it is hard. It is stressful and I think one of the reasons it is stressful for me is because I am between these two roles.
I’m dentist by day and Housewife by night The hardest thing for me is the time management and struggling to fit everything in.
“I feel like Clark Kent – there’s the battle between Clark and Batman at the same time.”
Hanna – who is engaged to cosmetic clinic owner Dr Martin Kinsella – spoke of her bitter row with Tanya Bardsley, who is the wife of footballer Phil Bardsley, and confessed that although she’s had issues with the reality star “from day one” she feels her place in the group is becoming “more cemented”.
She said: “There is drama and confrontation, but I think as you time goes on and as your position in the group becomes more cemented, it becomes easier.
“At first it was a bit of a shock to the system because you’re going into a group of women that are already like a clique.
“When you’re the new girl on the block. It’s hard. But I feel like the more time that I’ve been there, the more I’ve got to know people. It made it easier.
“I had had issues with Tanya from day one really. I think she took a bit of a disliking to me.”

Richard Curtis inspired by Ed Sheeran

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Curtis thinks his Beatles-inspired comedy ‘Yesterday’ is “really about” Ed Sheeran.
The 62-year-old writer’s latest film follows Jack Malik (Himesh Patel) who awakes from a blackout to discover he’s the only person to know the music of the ‘Help’ hitmakers and Richard thinks giving the ‘Shape of You’ singer a cameo in the movie was “perfect casting” because his own life has been so similar to that of the central character.
He said: “In a way, the film is really about Ed.
“Ed was from round where we live in Suffolk and couldn’t be a more normal and delightful fellow.
“His girlfriend is somebody he went to school with, which is what the film is about.
“It is a gimmicky cameo and in a way it is the best casting possible because he is almost the lead character.”
While both Richard and director Danny Boyle were keen for the Beatles’ music to be the focus of the story, the script sent it in a different direction, but one which still holds universal appeal.
Richard told Empire magazine: “We both wanted to make a beautiful film about this music. But the script ended up being about how you live the right life.
“Everybody is thinking a lot about imposter syndrome. We’ve all got it. Danny and I have both got it.
“Every single person on Instagram has got it.
“We are all presenting the glamorous version of ourselves but thinking, ‘That is not really me.’ ”
Danny added: “Jack is a very ordinary, not very successful, singer/songwriter.
“He’s got a beautiful, everyman quality and he bumps into this myth which transforms him into a world personality. I’m very proud of that dynamic, of trying to find an ordinariness in a person that elevates into something mythic.”
