OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ is set to be made into an immersive theatre experience.
The memoir of former stockbroker and convicted fraudster Jordan Belfort, who was played by Leonardo DiCaprio in Martin Scorsese’s Oscar nominated 2013 film, is set to be adapted into a stage experience which will open in a Central London location in September this year.
The movie follows Belfort in the early 1990s as he founds his own brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont with his partner – played by Jonah Hill on the big screen.
Belfort makes a huge fortune defrauding wealthy investors out of millions with pump and dump stock sales strategies, however, the SEC and the FBI eventually close in on his empire of excess.
Audiences are invited to dress in “90s American office attire” and have the choice of playing a broker at the firm or a member of the FBI investigating firm’s illegal activities.
The experience’s set will feature a restaurant, several bars and even “supercars” although the venue for the project is yet to be announced.
The show is created by the team behind London’s immersive production of ‘The Great Gatsby’ – the longest running immersive theatre show in UK history – with Alexander Wright adapting and directing the piece.
In a statement, Belfort said: “You’ve read the book, you’ve seen the film, now you can experience ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ in person.
“It’s going to be the greatest f**king show you’ve ever seen. Get your fun coupons now.”
The Wolf of Wall Street’s producers Louis Hartshorn and Brian Hook said the show will explore “the extremes of capitalism and hedonistic behaviour and how obsession with money can bring humanity to its knees”.
They added in a statement: “Our guests can expect the outrageous, the spectacular and the downright ridiculous.”
The production opens in previews from 5 September and is currently booking until 19 January 2020.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ross Adams and his husband always experience travel disasters, such as when a man died on their plane.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actor is used to “something awful” happening when he and hubby Phil Crusham go away together, and as well as experiencing an on-flight death, their hotel once started “falling apart” when they went on a jaunt to the Dominican Republic.
He said: “Every single time we go away, something awful happens.
“The very first holiday we went on together, a man sadly died on our plane, so we had to make an emergency landing.
“We once went to the Dominican Republic and it rained solidly for the 10 days that we were there – so much so that some of our hotel started falling apart.”
But the couple – who married in April 2018 – have had happier trips away, including to New York in 2016 when the ‘Oaks’ star (Scott Drinkwell) popped the question to his significant other.
He said: “My husband Phil and I got engaged in New York in 2016, so obviously it holds very special memories.
“I knew that I was going to propose on the last night, but it didn’t go to plan as I’d wanted to get a ring from Tiffany’s, but I couldn’t shake Phil off.
“So I had to pop the question without a ring, but we went to Tiffany’s before we flew back home.”
The pair also returned to the Big Apple last New Year’s Eve (31.12.18) to party with former ‘Big Brother’ winner Brian Dowling.
He added to heat magazine: “I spent New Year’s Eve in New York with Brian Dowling and his husband, who live out in LA, and they took us to Soho House – it was awesome and we had such a good night.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Steven Soderbergh doesn’t want to “jinx” the new ‘Bill & Ted’ film.
The 56-year-old filmmaker is excited to begin work on the third instalment of the fantasy teen classic starring Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves – who will reprise their titular roles as Bill S. Preston, Esq. and Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan – this summer, but says he doesn’t want to “toast to the production” just yet because there have been “so many false starts” in the filming process.
In an interview with The Times newspaper, he said: “It’s been such a long process, and there have been so many false starts and promises (with the film). Until we’re shooting, I wouldn’t dream of jinxing it by toasting to our production.
“We start next month in Louisiana, where I grew up. I’m definitely going to be there. And at that point we will.”
‘Bill & Ted Face The Music’ – which follows the two loveable slackers who travel through time – is scheduled for release in summer 2020.
William Sadler is set to return as Death.
The 69-year-old actor is back as the Grim Reaper in the upcoming sequel – which comes 28 years after the second instalment of the saga, ‘Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey’, which saw Death challenge Bill the duo in a game for their souls, which the pair ultimately win.
The film’s official Twitter account confirmed the casting news in a tweet which read: “For those who have been asking, @Wm_Sadler will totally be reprising his role! (sic)”
An official synopsis for the movie teased the appearance of a “few music legends” as the two friends set out to save “life as we know it”.
It stated: “Yet to fulfil their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure, when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe. Along the way, they will be helped by their families, old friends and a few music legends.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Madden is reportedly in talks to play Ikaris in Marvel’s ‘The Eternals’.
The ‘Rocketman’ star – who is also known for hit shows ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Bodyguard’ – is believed to have entered discussions for the upcoming superhero movie, with Variety claiming that he will play the lead role, though this has not been confirmed.
One part of the motion picture’s storyline is expected to involve a love story between characters Ikaris, who is fuelled by cosmic energy, and Sersi, who relishes moving amongst humans.
Madden’s attachment to the movie comes after Ma Dong-Seok was reported to have joined the cast alongside Angelina Jolie.
The 48-year-old actor – best known to UK audiences from 2013 zombie thriller ‘Train To Busan’ – and the ‘Tourist’ star’s parts are too being kept under wraps for the time being.
The movie, which is being helmed by Chloe Zhao, is based on the 1976 Marvel comics by Jack Kirby.
Fictional species The Eternals are offshoots of the evolutionary process, and they were intended to be the Earth’s defenders, which sees them do battle with the Deviants.
The film will be Jolie’s first superhero outing, but she has starred in a comic book movie before – 2008’s ‘Wanted’, which was an adaptation of Mark Millar and J.G. Jones series of the same name.
James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman and Terence Stamp also starred in the project, which was directed by Timur Bekmambetov and tells the story of an accountant who joins a secret society which his professional assassin father worked for.
Marvel was recently reported to be searching for an openly homosexual actor to play the lead role in the forthcoming film.
‘Ruin’ writers Matthew and Ryan Firpo have signed up to pen the script for the movie, and Marvel Studios’ president Kevin Feige will produce the picture.

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Webbe asked ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ bosses not to pair him up with someone in a relationship.
The Blue singer was runner up in 2014 when he was teamed up with pro Kristina Rihanoff after telling producers he didn’t want the risk of being involved in a scandal around the so-called ‘Strictly’ “curse”.
The ‘One Love’ hitmaker told the Express Online: “I’ll tell you a secret. What I did say when I was approached to do the show, I said, ‘Listen, I’m single at the minute.
“‘Please do not put me with a dancer who’s in a relationship because I do not want to be a part of a man that is breaking up a home. There’s just no way.’ ”
The 41-year-old star was paired with Kristina, who split from Joe Calzaghe the year before and was “single at the time” before going on to date Ben Cohen.
Simon added: “They agreed and they put me with Kristina, who was single at the time, so it was great.
“We had no drama … I want to dance. It’s my one opportunity to experience something incredible that nobody from my culture would ever really get the chance to do. I don’t want to break up a home.”
His revelation comes after 2018 ‘Strictly’ winner Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton have been romantically linked after triumphing on last year’s series.
Kevin recently joked that he is “public enemy number one at the moment”.
What’s more, ‘Countdown’ star Rachel Riley split from her husband just months after her 2013 appearance on ‘Strictly’, and she went on to date pro dancer Pasha Kovalev, who she is still with.

OHMYGOSSIP — Timothy Spall found making ‘Hatton Garden’ “bloody gruelling”.
The 62-year-old actor plays Terry Perkins in ITV’s four-part drama about the infamous £14 million heist in London’s jewellery quarter in 2015 – which saw a group of elderly thieves drill a hole into the wall of a vault – and admitted the “old blokes” involved in the robbery had to put themselves to the test physically in order to pull off the theft.
He said: “We recreated the vault in the studio and in filming our story you realised these were old blokes working very hard in what was very difficult, physical, skilled engineering.
“So when we got down to filming the work, you realise how hard it was. No wonder my character and the others were exhausted. They were old.
“You really got a sense of how difficult it was to drill through concrete with one of those diamond drills. It was a bit like being involved with some bizarre engineering feat.
“It was bloody gruelling. We were running up and down stairways at 3am.
“Some of it was a bit challenging. But we always had somebody standing by with a cup of tea and a chair. Unlike most people who do that sort of thing.”
And show bosses went to great lengths to make the drama as realistic as possible.
Writer Jeff Pope told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “[The robbers] used the largest drill you can get and worked out it would be just big enough for them to get through.
“We used exactly the same model of drill.”
The show was originally due to air in December 2017 but put on hold after prosecutors warned it would clash with the trial of the suspects.
‘Hatton Garden’ is due to air on ITV later this month.

OHMYGOSSIP — Piers Morgan has had his £650 golf clubs stolen from his car.
The ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter has offered a “handsome” reward to anyone who is able to relocate his “newish” Callaway Golf set after a sneaky thief broke into his vehicle and nabbed the posh irons along with his travel bag.
Taking to his Twitter account on Wednesday (08.05.18), the 54-year-old star said: “Many thanks to the cowardly little sh*t who broke into my car & stole my golf bag & clubs. They’re these newish @CallawayGolf Rogues (below), so if anyone sees them offered for sale, let me know & you’ll be handsomely rewarded. (sic)”
Piers concluded his tweet by threatening to “find” the criminal.
He said: “As for the thief, I’ll find you.”
Just last week, Piers was left appalled after he found out that the Big Ben London Marathon costume went missing from The Old Shades pub, where runner Lukas Bates, 30, went to celebrate completing the 26.2-mile race.
Lukas went viral when video footage of his 10ft costume’s spire getting stuck on some of the finishing line’s scaffolding was shared around the world – and Piers has offered to donate £1,000 to charity if the costume is returned to its owner.
He said at the time: “Where do you hide a 10ft high Big Ben?
“I am offering a £500 reward just enough to tempt people out to frame him. Whoever the thief is. Let’s make it a thousand. I’ll offer a thousand pound reward of my own money for the safe return of the Big Ben.”
While it’s not known what happened to the costume, Piers is “sickened” at the thought that someone could potentially steal the outfit after Lukas’ charity run.
He said: “He runs 26 miles to the finishing line, we know what happens, this disaster, he crashes into the finishing line roof.
“So when you thought that couldn’t get any worse, he finally gets under, goes to the pub to celebrate and while he’s in the pub, someone nicks Big Ben. Gone.
“Imagine stealing Big Ben from a marathon runner. How sick have you got to be? If anyone has seen a large cardboard Big Ben can you please us and we will return it to this poor bloke who has run for charity.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ofcom are considering whether or not to investigate ‘Emmerdale’ after 39 viewers complained about Victoria Barton’s sexual assault scene on last night’s (08.05.19) episode.
The UK communication’s regulator are looking into the complaints after Isabel Hodgins’ alter-ego had her hair violently pulled by evil Lee – played by Kris Mochrie – before being pushed onto her bed.
Viewers then saw Victoria’s bedroom door from outside and heard her scream, before the camera returned to footage of her lying on her bed after the horrific act.
An Ofcom spokesperson told The Sun Online: “We are assessing these complaints against our broadcasting rules, but are yet to decide whether or not to investigate.”
Victoria had only met menacing Lee just hours earlier in a nightclub, and he persuaded her to let him walk her home after they got chucked out of their taxi.
He soon turned when inside her house, despite her constantly telling him to leave, becoming aggressive.
Some viewers also took to social media to express their concern at the scenes.
One tweeted: “this is honestly f***ing disgusting #Emmerdale (sic)”
Another posted: “#emmerdale dear lord bit early for this”
And one wrote: “That was so scary wtf #Emmerdale”
This comes just weeks after Ofcom received 84 complaints over Emmerdale’s teacher-pupil grooming storyline involving Maya Stepney (Louisa Clein) and Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant).
A spokesperson said: “We are assessing these complaints against our broadcasting rules, but are yet to decide whether or not to investigate.”

OHMYGOSSIP — An openly-gay character is to be introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) “pretty soon”.
‘Avengers Endgame’ directors Joe and Anthony Russo have revealed MCU boss Kevin Feige will be unveiling the mystery person in the near future after being asked about the small role Joe had in the latest movie as a grieving man in a therapy session.
Asked on ‘EW Morning Live’ to clarify if he was playing the first out gay character in a Marvel movie, Joe said: “Yes, openly gay. There’ve been insinuations about other characters’ sexuality, but this is the first openly gay character.”
Pressed on who else is gay, he added: “Uhhh. We’re gonna find out!”
Anthony added: “That’s a story for another day.”
But Joe then expanded on the evasive answer and said: “There is a gay character coming up in one of their films, and I think Kevin will make that announcement, I’m sure pretty soon.”
In June 2018, Kevin revealed there would be two gay characters in future Marvel films.
He was asked: “When are we getting a gay, bi, LGBTQ, out character in the MCU? Is it even in the works?”
He replied: “Yes.”
The interviewer subsequently asked: “It’s not someone we’ve seen yet, I’m guessing?”
And Kevin responded by saying: “Both.”
Asked to clarify his comments, the Marvel boss added: “Both ones you’ve seen and ones you haven’t seen.”
Tessa Thompson, who plays Valkyrie in the series, previously claimed her character is bisexual, despite it never being shown on screen.
She previously tweeted: “She’s bi. And yes, she cares very little about what men think of her. What a joy to play!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Louisa Clein has thanked an owl and her co-stars for making the filming of last night’s (07.05.19) “epic” ‘Emmerdale’ flashback episode “bearable”.
The 40-year-old actress’ character Maya Stepney was left for dead by Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi), Tracy Metalfe (Amy Walsh) and Priya Kotecha (Fiona Wade) during the second of last night’s Dales double bill, which saw her hiding out from the trio in the middle of the woods in what were “intense cold and smelly” conditions for Louisa to shoot.
Just as the trio approached the entrance of a dark, dank dwelling she was hiding in, an owl swooped towards the triple threat, and Louisa – whose teacher character has been grooming Leyla’s son Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) – has praised the bird’s performance and thanked fans for their positive reaction to the episode.
She wrote on Instagram: “Blown away by all your amazing messages about tonight’s episode. Thank you. It was an epic intense cold and smelly experience made bearable by the best team and an owl. (sic)
Louisa also shared several pictures of herself in make-up having her face made to look battered and bruised.
Last night, Maya jumped out of Priya’s moving car to escape the trio before heading into the woods to escape them, despite having a badly injured leg.
But Leyla soon caught up with her and after a brawl on the muddy ground she whacked Maya over the head and left her for dead in a smelly stream.
While the trio left, viewers saw Maya wake up and head to the village to see Jacob, who she convinced to go on the run with her.

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Theroux says he’s “very flattered” to be a sex symbol.
The 48-year-old filmmaker revealed that although he’s grateful for the attention he receives from fans – which includes selling pillows and T-shirts emblazoned with his face – he feels there’s a sense of “irony” attached to his support and feels it’s his “gormless qualities” that make him attractive.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, he said: “I’m very flattered by that and in fact, I remember when I noted there were people on the internet selling T-shirts and I just thought ‘Wow who would have thought it’.
“At the same time, I was also aware there’s a bit of irony built into it like I’m aware that it’s not like, ‘We think he’s Brad Pitt.’
“Clearly there’s some sort of sense of, ‘It’s his gormless qualities that we like.’ Whereas I’d rather like to be a Brad Pitt style sex symbol.”
The documentary maker also spoke about his new film ‘Mothers on the Edge’ which explores a rare condition called Postpartum psychosis where symptoms of mania, depression, severe confusion, loss of inhibition, paranoia, hallucinations, and delusions affect mothers, beginning suddenly in the first two weeks after childbirth.
Louis revealed that he chose the subject as he found it “fascinating” and wanted to delve into a story which had a “darker side”.
He said: “I’m always looking for stories where there’s really deep emotion and angst. I like to sort of acknowledge that darker side that we all have hopefully in a sort of positive way.
“Then a friend at work who had been pregnant was sort of reading up on postpartum psychosis – which is actual psychotic episodes which often is with a mum who’s never had a history of mental illness – and I’d never heard of it and I thought, ‘That’s fascinating.’ ”

The 64-year-old actor would love to appear in a popular UK serial drama, such as ‘EastEnders’, ‘Coronation Street’, or ‘Emmerdale’, because he thinks they are “superbly made”.
Kelsey told The Daily Star newspaper: “I love them all, of course I do.
“They are just so classy and superbly made. If any of them are ever looking to cast a very eager American, then can they please give me a call.”
If the star makes a cameo on a UK soap he would be following in the footsteps of Sir Ian McKellen and Stephanie Beacham, who both appeared on ‘Coronation Street’, and Rick Astley, who recently popped up in ‘Hollyoaks’.
Kelsey’s most famous role is playing Dr. Frasier Crane in the long-running NBC sitcom ‘Cheers’ and then in 1993 when the show ended he portrayed the psychiatrist again in his own spin-off show ‘Frasier’, which ran until 2004.
The television legend has previously addressed discussions about the upcoming reboot of ‘Frasier’ and recently said plans for a sequel to the hit show – which wrapped in 2004 – are still in early stages.
The ‘Hank’ star recently teased fans by saying his character may be making a comeback by resolving things with his son Frederick.
He said: “Whether he (Frasier) has got six children and a wife in the islands somewhere, he needs to come back to probably resolve things with his son Frederick, which mirrors the show in the first place.
“Frasier might be an art dealer. He might be a professor. We don’t know yet.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lee Majors will voice Jeff Tracy in ‘Thunderbirds Are Go!’.
The 80-year-old actor will play the patriarch of the heroic Tracy family in the ITV animated revamp of the iconic action puppet show – and the character will return after he was presumed dead in the original series after going missing during a mission.
Confirming the news in a video on the official ‘Thunderbirds Are Go!’ YouTube page, he said: “I’m playin Captain Jeff Tracy … he may be back.”
The show focuses on adventures of the fictional International Rescue organisation, which was founded by Jeff and continues to save lives on land, sea, air and space with the help of a fleet of five vehicles named the Thunderbirds that are launched from IR’s secret island base in the Pacific Ocean.
The character will make his first appearance in the upcoming episodes – which will follow the team as they investigate a mysterious distress signal – that will launch on ITV and CITV every Saturday from May 18.
‘Thunderbirds Are Go!’ writer Rob Hoegee revealed in 2015 that Jeff would be absent from the revamp as he wanted to help the rest of the Rescue organisation “step forward and shine” in the show.
He said: “Jeff Tracy is not a character that can be sidelined or minimised in any way shape or form
“Our feeling was… what would be a way to make Jeff Tracy mean something to the show and be just as important, but still be in a place where the rest of the boys can take a step forward and shine?
“So our decision to take him out of the picture was really motivated by that, and it became a situation story-wise where [the show] became less about ‘what dad tells us to do’ and more about ‘what would dad do?’
“The currency we get from the absence of their father is hugely important as we move forward with the series.”

The 30-year-old beauty started romancing Max – who previously won ‘Love Island’ with his then-girlfriend Jessica Hayes in 2015 – after her break-up with Paul Knops last September, but the pair called it quits just three months into their relationship.
Now Laura has shared a selfie with Max and her pet dog snuggling on the sofa, and captioned the post on her Instagram Story: “My 2 fave weirdos”, with the kiss emoji, sparking rumours they have rekindled their romance.
A source said when they split in December that the former air hostess had trust issues with Max.
They said: “It just wasn’t the right time for Laura and Max. They weren’t working so decided to end things sooner rather than later.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh says her daughter is “doing great” after giving birth last week.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress became a grandmother for the first time, and she has heaped praise on her “warrior” daughter Emilie Cunliffe after she welcomed a son into the world on May 3.
Speaking at the Pride of Manchester award ceremony on Wednesday (08.05.19), she told the Manchester Evening News: “Emilie is doing great. She has been an absolute warrior. It feels like the royal baby, and we beat her as well.”
Kym, 42, also revealed Emilie, 22, and her partner Mikey Hoz have chosen a name but they won’t be announcing it yet.
The soap star was hosting the event at the Principal Hotel in the city six days after her daughter welcomed the new arrival.
Sharing the happy news on her social media accounts at the time, Kym – who was Emilie’s birthing partner – wrote: “Last night was a night I will never forget. I became a “Loli” for the first time!!! My beautiful daughter was an absolute warrior and her partner and I were the best birthing team we could be!!!
“I was so honoured to have been a part of bringing him into the world. My beautiful grandson, I love you I will always love you and I promise to help guide you through life as best I can. Welcome to the world “Baby Hoz” #name to follow (sic)”
Emilie also shared the happy news on her own Instagram account, where she spoke of how the little one had “filled a space in her heart that she never even knew was there”.
She wrote: “Welcome to the world my precious baby boy …
“You have filled a space in my heart that I never even knew was there, and you’ve managed to take over the whole of it. I’ve never felt a love like it. My life is complete, thanks to you. – Mummy (sic)”
