Chloe Ferry and Sam Gowland ‘split over money rows’

OHMYGOSSIP — Chloe Ferry and Sam Gowland split up over money rows.
The 23-year-old reality star took to her Instagram story on Friday (10.05.19) to announce the sad news, after less than two years together, and although she insisted they were still friends, pals have claimed that they broke up due to fights over money.
A source told The Sun Online: “Sam got jealous that Chloe’s career was taking off and his wasn’t quite as hot.
“They’d constantly row about work. He wanted to make as much money as he could and retire in two years time, so was constantly looking for ways to monetise their relationship.
“Chloe just got sick of it and ended it.”
Chloe revealed the split on Instagram, saying: “It hurts me to say this but me and Sam have gone our separate ways. We are still friends.”
The ‘Geordie Shore’ star started dating Sam, also 23, in October 2017 when he joined the MTV reality show after shooting to fame on that year’s series of ITV2 dating show ‘Love Island’ – where he had a brief fling with Georgia Harrison.
After love blossomed between Chloe and Sam onscreen, the lovers moved in together and even share a dog.
Chloe went on to explain that although she’s upset about the split, she won’t be cancelling any commitments and is still fully dedicated to the opening of her new beauty shop, CM House of Aesthetics, which launches Saturday (11.05.19).
She said: “Things carry on as normal. Bring on Saturday for the shop opening.”
Last year, Chloe hinted at a break-up in a series of cryptic Twitter posts, sharing four consecutive emotionally distressed tweets about feeling “low” and needing to concentrate on herself which have led her followers to conclude she’s separated from Sam.
She posted: “When someone can leave you when your feeling so low about your self they are not worth it!! Sometimes in life you just need to take a step away and just think about your self … Crazy how everything can be so perfect and the next it’s all gone so quickly time for new starts in life (sic)”

Jacqueline Jossa for X Factor?

OHMYGOSSIP — Jacqueline Jossa is in talks for ‘Celebrity X Factor’.
The former ‘EastEnders’ actress – who played Lauren Branning on the ITV soap – is reportedly keen to show off her singing skills on Simon Cowell’s new show.
A source told The Sun Online: “She couldn’t keep it a secret and has been telling pals she’s so excited and can’t wait to show off her amazing voice.
“Jacqueline has met bosses for talks about joining the show and they are ongoing.
“The final line-up hasn’t been confirmed yet and the decisions are still to be made.
“Jacqueline has joined a long list of really talented celebrities so it’s a difficult decision whether to take her forward for the show or not.”
Meanwhile, it was revealed in April that Jacqueline has set up a performing arts academy.
The academy has classes for pre-school age groups from three to six years, middle class from five to eight years old, and a top class group from nine to 12+ years.
Jacqueline, 26, departed her role as Lauren last year, and admitted afterwards she would be unlikely to join another soap due to her “loyalty” to ‘EastEnders’.
She said: “I don’t think I’d be able to do another soap as my loyalty lies with ‘EastEnders’, but I’d love to do dramas and theatre.”
She has also praised the soap for the care she received while she was with the show, admitting she was always “so well looked after” on ‘EastEnders’ and attended therapy when she “needed it” and even when she “didn’t feel [she] needed it”.
She wrote: “When I started EastEnders when I was 17years old. (I am now 26) I was lucky enough to be so well looked after and give the care that come with “fame” and what not. I went to therapy when I needed it and even when I didn’t feel I needed it and turns out, it always comes in handy and doesn’t mean you’ve lost the plot.
It means you are in control of your feelings and owning your stuff! Never be afraid to ask for help or even just go for a chat. You don’t need to be going through a terrible time to need guidance and help. (sic)”

Halle Berry wouldn’t say no to another Bond film in the future

OHMYGOSSIP — Halle Berry would like to make another James Bond movie.
The 52-year-old actress – who can next be seen playing Sofia in ‘John Wick 3: Parabellum’ – portrayed Jinx Johnson in 2002’s ‘Die Another Day’ and though she’s currently busy with other career commitments, she’s open to the idea of reprising the role in another installment of the spy saga in the future.
Asked about the possibility, she said: “Well, maybe not tomorrow because I’m kind of busy right now so my dance card is sort of full.
“But in a few years time, if they asked, I’d do it. Right now, I’m busy being a Sofia girl.”
And Halle will always have fond memories of working alongside Pierce Brosnan as 007 in the movie.
She said: “It was one of the best experiences of my career working with that family, so I’m excited to see the new film.”
The Oscar-winning actress – who has children Nahla, 11, and Maceo, five, from previous relationships – approached director Chad Stahelski about playing Sofia opposite Keanu Reeves in the upcoming ‘John Wick’ movie because she identified with her a lot, and saw no reason why her age should be a barrier to the role.
She told HELLO! magazine: “I knew I was strong enough to do this role which is why I reached out to Chad and told him he didn’t have a choice but to cast me.
“I know I am 52 but I am also strong and active and I am tired of being defined by the number of my birthdays.
“It’s really important that we women start to kick ageism in the face by showing what we can do.”

Jon Favreau excited by movie industry’s ‘new ecosystem’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jon Favreau feels excited by the movie industry’s “new ecosystem”.
The 52-year-old actor – who has also directed the eagerly awaited ‘Lion King’ movie – has admitted to being thrilled by the emergence of streaming services, saying it has helped to change the landscape of the movie business.
He explained: “I’m sort of getting a part of the new Disney streaming service, and all of these new technologies are new platforms are emerging, and all sorts of really cool … because it’s not like network television or not like blockbuster films where everybody has to be … everything has to be made for all audiences.
“Now you can make specific material and content for specific groups as long as you’re doing a good job, and they’re loyal to it, and they like what you’re doing, there’s room in this new ecosystem, and so it’s going to be very interesting to see what now just Lucasfilm does, but Marvel does, and Disney … but the opportunity to do things that don’t have to compete on a blockbuster weekend in the summer and the holidays.”
Jon also said that the industry’s evolution is encouraging “fresh voices and fresh takes” to emerge.
He told Collider: “It takes a while for this to ripple through to the audiences.
“But you’re starting to see out there with all the different ways of delivering content, you’re seeing a lot of material coming out, and it allows for fresh voices and fresh takes, and certainly something like Marvel has a lot of opportunities, because there’s so many characters that might not warrant a huge movie, but that weave together, and you get a lot of chapters.
“So it’s kind of exciting to see what’s going to happen.”

Naomi Scott ‘honoured’ to play Princess Jasmine in Aladdin

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomi Scott felt “honoured” and “excited” when she was asked to portray Princess Jasmine in Disney’s live-action remake of ‘Aladdin’.
The 26-year-old actress plays the iconic character in Guy Ritchie’s reboot of the classic 1992 animated adventure, and the star has revealed that the original flick was her “favourite” film, and she would always want to be the Middle Eastern beauty when she would play with her older brother, Josh, because it was her princess and “represents” a lot for “young girls” growing up.
She told Total Film magazine: “I absolutely love the original. It was my older brother’s favourite movie as well, so it was literally our joint … We always played Aladdin. I never got to play Jasmine. I played Abu. I always wanted to be Jasmine.
“I, as a little girl, was like, ‘Oh, I’m that one.’
“I think that’s very simplistic but also quite powerful. I felt like that was my princess. I think that Jasmine represents a lot for a lot of girls growing up and I don’t take that lightly. I feel so honoured, and I feel so excited … She was my princess.”
And the rising star – who is of British and Indian descent – insisted that the much-anticipated movie will inspire children across the world because it is “special” and is representative of different ethnicities on screen.
She added: “Oh my god, 100 per cent [this film was a big chance in terms of representation]. And I think, also, never to underestimate the power of seeing someone and being like, ‘Oh, ok. She’s done that. I can do that.’ ‘Black Panther’ is a great example. It’s just kids being like ‘I can play that one’. There’s something so special about that.”
Scott is also joined in the movie by Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Will Smith as the Genie, Marwan Kenzari as Jafar and Navid Negahban as Jasmine’s father The Sultan.
The film will still include all the music and songs from the animated version, which earned two Oscar victories for Best Original Score and Best Original Song for ‘A Whole New World’ by Alan Menken and Tim Rice, as well as having two new songs penned by ‘The Greatest Showman’ songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
‘Aladdin’ hits cinemas worldwide later this month.

Grace Jones to make cameo appearance in new Bond movie?

OHMYGOSSIP — Grace Jones is reportedly being lined up to star in a scene in the new James Bond movie.
The 70-year-old model – who previously appeared alongside Sir Roger Moore in ‘A View To A Kill’ – is apparently set to join Daniel Craig on the set of the much-hyped film.
A source told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: “Word is that Grace is coming in to film a scene with Daniel Craig.
“There is a lot of excitement as it is a tip of the hat to past Bonds and Roger Moore’s era. Fans will have to wait until next year to know if it makes the cut.”
The speculation comes shortly after Naomie Harris – who plays Miss Moneypenny in the money-spinning film franchise – claimed the days of the “old Bond” are numbered thanks to Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
Phoebe – who wrote the script of the hit assassin thriller TV series ‘Killing Eve’, and wrote and starred in BBC comedy-drama ‘Fleabag’ – has joined the writing team for ‘Bond 25’, which will be Daniel Craig’s fifth and final outing as 007.
And according to Naomie, she will “ramp up the female perspective” on the yet-to-be-titled film, hailing Phoebe as a “strong woman” with a “comedic touch”.
She explained: “She’s a strong woman with a great comedic touch so she’s going to ramp up the female perspective on ‘Bond 25’. The Bond of old, his days are numbered.”

David Walliams: Becoming a dad eased my depression

OHMYGOSSIP — David Walliams thinks becoming a dad has rescued him from depression.
The 47-year-old TV star – who has a six-year-old son called Alfred with ex-wife Lara Stone – has admitted to suffering with crippling depression at one time in his life, but thinks fatherhood has helped him to find happiness.
Appearing on ‘Bear Grylls: Mission Survive’, David shared: “I have had struggles with depression in the past.
“There have been periods through my life when I’ve been very, very down and it’s been very long lasting.”
However, the ‘Little Britain’ star insisted he currently finds himself in the midst of a better, happier time in his life.
He said: “I’m certainly in a better place now and one great thing about becoming a parent.
“Your whole life starts revolving around them and you do stop dwelling on your own problems so much, because you don’t have time to.”
David also acknowledged that his depression was triggered by a variety of different factors.
Asked what led to his depression, the comedian – whose marriage to Lara lasted from 2010 until 2015 – explained: “A variety of things, end of relationships … all kinds of things can take you to a very bleak place.”
David urged anyone going through similarly dark moments in their own lives to seek professional help.
He said: “Seek help and not feel ashamed … I did and that really, really helped.”

Louis Theroux feels ‘confused’

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Theroux feels “confused” about finding Jimmy Savile to be “quite likeable” for a couple of years after making a documentary about him.
The 48-year-old TV star spent three months with the disgraced broadcaster in 2000, when he filmed ‘When Louis Met Jimmy’, which aired years before Savile was exposed as a paedophile.
Speaking to BBC Radio 4’s ‘Desert Island Discs’, Louis – who even stayed at Savile’s house after shooting the documentary – explained: “There’s a slightly naive view that if abuse happens you recognise it as abuse straight away, and of course that isn’t how it works in a real world setting.
“So, it was something that I had to learn and I’d like to think that I bring that understanding now to my work and also as a human being.
“I’d remained in contact with him a little bit after I’d made the first programme.
“So, while I’m still quite proud of the first programme, I’m still a bit confused about how was I able to experience him as a somewhat likeable person in the year or two after making it.
“That’s something I think upon.”
Louis filmed a follow-up documentary about Savile after he was exposed as a paedophile and after his death.
Reflecting on that experience, he said: “I suppose I felt I wanted to figure out how it was that I’d missed what I’d missed.
“I wanted to do a personal and professional stock-taking and to sit down with victims and talk to them about their experiences.
“(There is) something very conflicting about reading about crimes and predatory activity while also knowing that this was someone who you, sort of, quite liked, and trying to square that in your own mind.
“And sometimes … victims of serious sexual assault experience a similar ambivalence.”

Mark Wahlberg and Jason Isaacs join Scoob

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Wahlberg and Jason Isaacs have joined ‘Scoob’.
The ‘Daddy’s Home 2’ star and the ‘Harry Potter’ actor – who is best known for playing Lucius Malfoy, the arch-rival of the titular Hogwarts student in the blockbuster wizarding franchise – will voice superhero Blue Falcon and villain Dick Dastardly respectively in the new Warner Bros. animated Scooby-Doo movie based on the iconic children’s cartoon.
The latest additions to the cast come after ‘Hangover’ actor Ken Jeong and Kiersey Clemons were confirmed to portray Dynomutt, Dog Wonder, a pooch with mechanical robot parts, and Dee Dee Sykes, who was one of the smartest members of Captain Caveman’s Teen Angels group.
Frank Welker will voice the titular pooch, after voicing crime-solving Mystery Inc. gang character Fred Jones since the animated comedy TV series ‘Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!’ made its debut in 1969.
Instead, Zac Efron will voice Fred for the forthcoming film and Amanda Seyfried will be Daphne Blake, while Will Forte will play Shaggy Rogers.
The Mystery Inc. gang – who aim to solve crimes alongside their canine companion Scooby – will be completed by Gina Rodriguez as Velma Dinkley.
The hotly-anticipated movie is set to be released in May 2020 and will be the first time Scooby has hit the big screen since 2004’s ‘Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed’, which followed on from 2002’s ‘Scooby-Doo’.

Russell Crowe to star in Unhinged

OHMYGOSSIP — Russell Crowe is to star in ‘Unhinged’.
The 55-year-old actor has signed up for the psychological thriller, with production starting on it in New Orleans in July.
Derrick Borte will direct the flick, whilst Lisa Ellzey will produce. Carl Ellsworth (‘Disturbia’) has penned the script. It is the first movie to be made by the new Solstice Studios, an independent movie company which was founded in October 2018.
‘Unhinged’ is expected to be released in 2020.
Meanwhile, Russell previously opened up about getting older.
He said: “I never put [much thought] into my age at all until I turned 48. It sounded lumpy it’s a heavy journey because I can’t outrun it anymore. Over time on film sets, I’ve gotten tears in both Achilles, shin splints, bone-marrow edemas under both knees, a rib that pops off my upper thoracic and a degenerating hip. But those are scars that I’ve earned … I don’t see how you’re educating yourself if you don’t recognise moments where you weren’t necessarily at your best. There are thousands of fundamentally embarrassing moments that I wish I could turn around. If you’re lucky, you can pull yourself up: ‘Oh, I know this one – I don’t have to do that again.
“I don’t see how it’s possible to live without regrets. But you can chase all that stuff down, or you can just get on with it. These last four years have been kind of ridiculous: the separation and a whole bunch of other complications. However, it’s also been a period where I’ve spent some of the greatest times with my kids, times we’ll remember forever. That’s what you do, right? It’s life.”

Ellie Brown: Love Island had to change

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellie Brown says changes were “necessary” for the new series of ‘Love Island’ following the death of two former contestants.
The TV babe appeared in last year’s season of the hugely popular summer romance show and has praised ITV2 bosses for setting up new mental health and STI tests for contestants to undergo before they’re accepted on this year’s upcoming series.
And Ellie revealed that ‘Love Island’ had to make changes to the programme’s set-up following the tragic early deaths of former Miss Newcastle Sophie Gradon, who appeared in the second series, and 2017 star Mike Thalassitis, who both took their own lives.
Speaking at the Pride of Manchester Awards, Ellie told the Manchester Evening News: “I think after what’s happened the past year, that was necessary.
“It was something that the show had to do. If it hadn’t, there would be a lot of people that wouldn’t have felt the same way about it.
“‘Love Island’ is loved by the nation and they want to continue it that way and I think this was the necessary step to make sure everyone was happy.”
And the 21-year-old reality star admitted she felt pressure when she came out of the Majorcan villa, and moved to London despite not wanting too.
She added: “When we got out the show I felt that I needed to move to London but it was the worst thing ever. I remember telling Kendall [Knight], and she said, ‘You don’t need to do it.’ It was the worst thing I ever did.”
This news comes as it was recently revealed that ‘Love Island’ chiefs are said to be prepared to axe potential contestants if they show “any hint of mental instability”.
The source told The Sun newspaper: “They are prepared to cut potentially strong personalities from the line-up if there is any hint of mental instability.”
In March, Richard Cowles, creative director of ITV Studios, admitted contestants on the ITV2 dating show will receive more support and ITV will be “proactively checking in” with former ‘Love Island’ stars “on a regular basis”.

Adrian Edmondson to join EastEnders

OHMYGOSSIP — Adrian Edmondson is set to join the cast of ‘EastEnders’.
The 62-year-old actor and comedian – who has already enjoyed an illustrious career in television and was a comedy heavyweight in the 80s and 90s – will take on the role of Daniel Cook in the BBC soap later this year.
Daniel will be a new love interest for Jean Slater (Gillian Wright), and has been described as “the perfect antidote” for her as she continues her treatment for ovarian cancer. Jean is set to be unsure of Daniel at first, but warms up to him when he offers his support in his own unique way.
Speaking about his new role, Adrian said in a statement: “There were only fifteen boys on my drama course at Manchester Uni, and I’ll be the third to appear in ‘EastEnders’ – so I feel it’s a kind of tradition! The other two being Tom Watt (Lofty Holloway) and Paul Bradley (Nigel Bates)”.
While executive producer Jon Sen added: “Adrian’s a phenomenal talent who will bring his unique blend of intelligence, warmth and humour to the role of Daniel. We’re all over the moon he’s coming to Walford and can’t wait for this love story to hit screens later this year.”

Freddie Starr has died

OHMYGOSSIP — Freddie Starr has died aged 76.
The comedy legend was reportedly found dead at his home in the Costa Del Sol, Spain, on Thursday (09.05.19), according to The Sun.
Freddie had a history of heart problems and asthma, and while no cause of death has officially been confirmed as of the time of writing, police sources tell the publication they believe he died from natural causes.
A neighbour told The Sun: “Freddie hadn’t looked well for some time and rarely ventured out. Whenever he appeared recently his head would be down and he’d be smoking.”
But despite not “looking well”, Freddie had been keeping his fans up to date on social media, and even posted a photo of himself on Facebook in February in which he pulled a face while cigarettes were stuck in his nose, mouth, and ears.
Another post, made just last week, read: “I’m ok getting tired more now but otherwise I’m doing good.
“I just have to say thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the kind comments and messages it really does mean a lot so thank you to each and everyone of you thanks so much. Freddie.”
The comedian rose to fame in the early 1970s after appearing on TV show ‘Opportunity Knocks’ and the Royal Variety Performance, and went on to star in a number of his own shows including ‘The Freddie Starr Show’ and ‘An Audience with Freddie Starr’.
He also presented the game show ‘Beat The Crusher’ and appeared on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ in 2011 – just a year after recovering from quadruple bypass surgery following a heart attack – although he left the jungle show early due to ill health.
