OHMYGOSSIP — James Corden is bringing ‘The Late Late Show’ to Sky One for a UK special.
The Emmy Award-winning CBS talk show will return to London for a third time and will broadcast four special episodes from the historic Central Hall Westminster.
The much-anticipated string of episodes – which will exclusively feature on Sky One and streaming service Now TV – will start next month and will include a star-studded celebrity guest list including Gillian Anderson, Millie Bobby Brown, Jessica Chastain, Michael Fassbender, Paul Giamatti, Tom Hanks, Chris Hemsworth, Lily James, James McAvoy, Ian McKellen, Simon Pegg and Sophie Turner.
There will also be a magic segment from renowned magician David Blaine and music from Little Mix and Mumford & Sons, with additional guests to be announced.
Zai Bennett, director of programmes for Sky UK, said in a statement: “‘The Late Late Show’ is a very special programme we have the pleasure of sharing with our customers.
“James captures the hearts of the audience and always delivers on bringing the biggest names in the industry. We’re thrilled to welcome the show back to Sky One for a third year.”
The episodes, produced by CBS Productions and Fulwell 73 and in association with Sky, will air in the US on the CBS Television Network and share highlights of James’ time in the UK.
And ‘The Late Late Show’ regularly features viral segments such as Carpool Karaoke, Crosswalk: The Musical, Drop the Mic and Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Emmerdale’ actress Nicola Wheeler thinks ‘Doctors’ deserve to win Best Soap at this year’s British Soap Awards.
The 45-year-old actress’ show won the prize in 2016 and 2017 but they were defeated by ‘Coronation Street’ in the category last year, and she believes it is “time” the BBC daytime soap won the coveted prize for the first time ever.
She said: “Maybe we [‘Emmerdale’] can [win the award], but I think it’s Doctors’ turn, personally. I think it’s time ‘Doctors’ [won].
“Nicola King won being the underdog and I think it’s time for ‘Doctors’ to win being the underdog. So maybe if we win all the other awards and they win Best Soap?”
She scooped the Best Bitch gong at the 2006 Soap Awards for her portrayal of Nicola King and is up for Best Comedy Performance this year.
Nicola said: “She [Nicola King] won it for being a cow and now she might win it for being a funny cow, who knows?”
But ‘Emmerdale’ actress Lucy Pargeter (Chas Dingle), who is up for Best Actress, Best Female Dramatic Performance, and Best On-Screen Partnership alongside Dominic Brunt (Paddy Kirk), may have found a way to get a few more votes – as the star joked she will ditching clothes for the night.
When asked in a joint interview on ‘This Morning’ what she will be wearing for the ceremony, Lucy replied: “No idea, I’m going naked.”
‘This Morning’ presenter Holly Willoughby then quipped: “That’ll get the votes.”
And her co-host Phillip Schofield, who will present the Soap Awards again this year, joked: “I’ll make sure they turn the heating up for you.”
The British Soap Awards will take place at Manchester’s The Lowry theatre on June 1st, and ‘EastEnders’ and ‘Hollyoaks’ lead the nominations with 14 nods each.

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrew Scott thinks it is “cool” being nicknamed the “hot priest” following his role in ‘Fleabag’.
The 42-year-old actor played hunky character The Priest during the second series of Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s comedy-drama, and the star was shocked by the reaction to his character.
He told Vulture: “It’s better than a lot of things you could be accused of. So yeah, it’s great, it’s cool. The reaction to the priest has been unbelievable.
“I think it’s more about the character itself. I think the dog collar probably does something to people that’s more privy to that than to me.”
And Andrew has recalled how he first met Phoebe when they did a play 10 years ago, and they met up again last summer to discuss ‘Fleabag’.
He added: “We knew each other from before. We did a play together about 10 years ago.
“So we met up last summer, and she was talking about this character that she had in her head, of a priest, and how they want to sort of establish this sort of extraordinary relationship.
“We talked a lot about love and loss and how it’s represented onscreen, as well as religion and what place religion takes in people of our generation’s lives.
“We were kind of looking to try and create something where there could be a match for the character in Fleabag, and we knew it was going to be a sort of a flawed character and somebody who is good at his job and, like, a real proper human being.”
The hit BBC show – which also stars the likes of Olivia Colman, Hugh Skinner, Sian Clifford and Jenny Rainsford – tells the story how Phoebe’s titular character is struggling to live her life in London following a tragedy.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Doctor Who’ is set to welcome back familiar villains The Judoon.
The rhino-headed intergalactic police first made an appearance more than 12 years ago to terrorise the Tenth Doctor – played by David Tennant – and his companion Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman) in 2007’s ‘Smith and Jones’.
And when the Thirteenth Doctor – played by Jodie Whittaker – returns to screens next year, she will come face to face with the brutes once again as they make their long-awaited comeback to the popular BBC sci-fi show.
The Judoon will meet The Doctor in present-day Gloucester, but as of the time of writing, all other details of their episode are being kept under wraps.
Showrunner Chris Chibnall said in a statement: “No! Sho! Blo! The Judoon are storming back into Doctor Who in full force, and the streets of Gloucester aren’t safe. If anyone has anything to hide, confess now. The Judoon are taking no prisoners, and will stop at nothing to fulfil their mission! The whole team on ‘Doctor Who’ are delighted and scared in equal measure to welcome them back: one of many treats we’ve got in store for viewers next series.”
The episode is also set to feature two-time BAFTA nominee Neil Stuke, who has previously held roles in ‘Doctor Foster’, ‘Silk’, and ‘Silent Witness’.
Chris added: “And we’re over the moon (with Judoon), to be welcoming the wondrous Neil Stuke as guest star. We can’t wait to show you what happens when his path crosses with the Thirteenth Doctor.”
The upcoming 12th season of ‘Doctor Who’ is currently in production, and is set to air in early 2020, though no exact date has been announced.
The series will see the return of Jodie’s Doctor alongside her companions Graham O’Brien, Ryan Sinclair and Yasmin Khan, played by Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole, and Mandip Gill, respectively.

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Smith mistook Mena Massoud for a backing dancer on the set of ‘Aladdin’.
The 50-year-old star – who plays the Genie in the live action remake of the Disney classic – has admitted he didn’t recognise the movie’s leading man when they first crossed paths and he assumed he was an extra overstepping the mark.
Opening up about the moment he met the man playing the title role, he told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “So what happened, we’re on set and you know, there’s 200 dancers standing around and I’m talking to the director [Guy Ritchie].
“This dude just comes up and he’s like, standing in our conversation. And I’m like, ‘That’s a bold-a** little dancer going to stand there in the middle of the director and the Genie in this conversation.’
“And he just stood there and he didn’t say nothing! He just smiled and then walked away!”
Massoud, 27, eventually did return to properly introduce himself to his co-star after realising how awkward the initial moment was.
However, Smith joked he was ready to call security over the incident.
He quipped: “It was feeling like a security situation, you know. Like, imagine we’re talking and he just did [came up and stood here]. That’s weird!”
Meanwhile, Smith has admitted he found it “daunting” taking on the role of the genie in the upcoming film because he wasn’t sure he’d be able to match the performance given by the late Robin Williams in the 1992 animated adventure.
He previously said: “The genie will say anything or do anything, there’s a certain madness to the genie – that was the fun that Robin Williams created so I was trying to find what that meant, with a little more of a ‘Fresh Prince’ flavour to it.
“I wanted to create something that was both nostalgic but also had a little bit new school sometimes… It was quite stressful and daunting.
“Robin Williams did not leave much room to improve on the genie. Fun is what Robin Williams did so well with the genie and I’ve been trying so hard to capture that and give it my flavour.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Caroline Flack has confirmed ‘Love Island’ spin-off ‘Love Island: Aftersun’ is returning.
The ITV2 dating show’s host took to her Instagram Story to announce the programme’s sister show will make a comeback on June 9 at 10pm.
Alongside a trailer, she wrote: “Not forgetting love island AFTERSUN is BACK…Sunday 9th of June y’all.”
‘Aftersun’ airs every Sunday and is where the host chats to those who have been booted out of the famous villa and gets all the insider gossip.
Caroline added another screenshot of presenters Vick Hope and Joel Dommett talking to 2017 winner Kem Cetinay on the show, and continued: “So join me live every Sunday.”
She then added: “Sunday’s at 10pm. I’m buzzing.”
The main show started filming at the end of April, and Caroline admitted
she was “really excited” to meet the crop of contestants who will be heading out to Majorca to find love over the coming months.
In a video uploaded to her Instagram account, Caroline said: “What’s really exciting about this week is that we start filming for ‘Love Island’ 2019.
“And by the end of the week I’m going to have potentially have seen the cast for this year which is really exciting – and mad that’s it’s come around this fast.
So I’ll let you know what happens. It’s going to be a mad, hot summer and all that.”
Just a week after last year’s show – which was won by Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer – came to an end, it was revealed producers had already received 25,000 applications for hopefuls waiting to be a part of the 2019 show.
The 39-year-old beauty said at the time: “If you think you have what it takes to flirt outrageously with people like this lot then applications for next year are now open. We’ve already had 25,000 people register.”
The show has recently come under scrutiny following the suicides of former contestants Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Gradon and bosses recently pledged to make changes and offer hopefuls more support.
Richard Cowles, creative director of ITV Studios, wrote in a letter: “When something so awful happens we naturally enter a period of soul searching and ask whether anything could have been done. This review has led us to extend our support processes to offer therapy to all Islanders and not only those that reach out to us. And we will be delivering bespoke training to all future Islanders to include social media and financial management.
“The key focus will be for us to no longer be reliant on the Islanders asking us for support but for us to proactively check in with them on a regular basis … We work with an independent GP and a psychological consultant to provide an assessment of the physical and mental health of each of the shortlisted cast members and their suitability for inclusion.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Warren’ has been cancelled after just one season.
The BBC One sitcom – which starred Martin Clunes as a grumpy and unpleasant driving instructor – wasn’t the hit the channel wanted with viewers or critics, and now creator Jimmy Donny Cosgrove has confirmed the show has been axed.
Taking to social media, he tweeted: “Today I bought the DVD of my very own TV series #Warren. Sadly, the BBC never bought the second series of my very own TV series #Warren but thems the breaks.
“Thanks to everyone who watched, supported, and encouraged. Hopefully this isn’t the end, but just the beginning. JDC x”
Martin, 57, had previously heaped praise on the show before its launch and even credited the script with convincing him to return to sitcoms after ‘Reggie Perrin’ flopped.
He said: “I didn’t want to do another half-hour comedy, but this was so funny, I didn’t want anyone else to do it. I didn’t want anyone else to do it.
“The script was sent to me by my friend Jimmy Mulville, who runs the production company. I’ve known him 30 years. We did a play together and stayed in touch, so I knew it was going to be good.
“I did ‘Reggie Perrin’, which I really enjoyed, but it didn’t go down well and the BBC dropped it, so I thought maybe that’s enough. Then ‘Warren ‘ came along and there just wasn’t a good enough reason to say no.”
Meanwhile, Martin has previously admitted it would be a struggle to get ‘Men Behaving Badly’ – which ran from 1992 until 1998 – made in 2019 in the current TV landscape.
He quipped: “These days, it’d have to be ‘People of No Particular Gender Behaving Badly’.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis is confident she will marry Owen Warner next year.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actress – who plays Sinead Shelby in the Channel 4 soap – cannot imagine life without her co-star and significant other (Romeo Quinn), and he has been dropping hints they could tie the knot in 2020.
She said: “I used to ask people, ‘How do know if they’re The One?’ and they’d say, ‘You just know.’
“I can’t imagine my life without him. He’s so good to me, and he loves the bones of me. He’s shown me what a real relationship is like.
“He’s the one I am going to marry, so hopefully it’ll happen next year. That’s what he tells me.”
Owen, 19, is yet to pop the question to his 26-year-old ‘Oaks’ co-star, but he keeps pretending he is about to propose by bending down to tie up his shoe laces.
She added to Closer magazine: “He always bends down and does his shoe laces on purpose, to wind me up, so I’m like, ‘Oh my God.’ ”
The pair were rumoured to have got engaged in March when Steph – who has two-year-old son Caben-Albi with ex Jeremy McConnell – was spotted wearing a ring, but it was later revealed to be a “promise ring” gifted to her by Owen.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ couple were said to have moved in with each other in January, just weeks after they started dating.
A source said at the time: “Stephanie and Owen are inseparable and were spending every night together pretty much straight away after they started dating.
“It made sense for Owen just to move in with her and Steph couldn’t be happier – as she’s finally getting the family home she always dreamed of.
“Owen is amazing with her son Caben and was really hands on at his second birthday party recently.

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Simons has opened up about suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) – admitting she used to fear “everyone is going to die”.
The former ‘EastEnders’ actress used to perform “rituals” to try to stop her friends and family from suddenly passing away, and would carry her grandparents’ address around in her back pocket “at all times” in case they died.
She said: “From the age of probably three I was a worrier. I used to have obsessive, compulsive behaviours but I didn’t realise that’s what it was until I was older.
“A lot of people with OCD have a thing they worry about – mine was, ‘Everyone is going to die.’
“I would walk around with my grandparents’ address in my back pocket at all times in case everybody died. I would do rituals and all sorts of things in order to stop them dying.”
Rita admits she had numerous conversations about mental health with ‘The Chase’ star Anne Hegerty – who has autism – while they were both on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ last year.
She said: “I was just 14 years old when I was diagnosed with OCD and sometimes being a little OCD isn’t really what you might think it is.
“For me it certainly isn’t an obsession with being clean and tidy.
“This is the first time I’ve spoken in depth about having OCD. It wasn’t until I was in the jungle that it kind of had a light shone on it.
“I’m fully diagnosed OCD. With Anne and her autism we spoke a lot about mental health.”
Rita – who played Roxy Mitchell on the BBC One soap – sought help when she was 14 years old when her mum found her “in a heap hyperventilating” after she had been checking a mirror.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, she added: “By the time I got to 14 I was checking taps, I was switching light switches and I got stuck checking the mirror for I don’t know how long.
“My mum found me in a heap hyperventilating, because I just wanted to get out of this mirror. I went and saw a professor of psychology who to this day I still speak to regularly.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Denise Welch admits she hasn’t always been a “perfect mother” but is proud of her sons for having a “really big social conscience”.
The 61-year-old actress has kids Matt, 30, and 18-year-old Louis Healy with ex-husband Tim Healy, and she is pleased they have grown up as feminists, support diversity “in any way” and are “huge supporters of the LGBT community”.
She said: “I always feel I’ve done a lot of things wrong in my life and I wasn’t the perfect mother in many ways, but I have brought up two sons who have a really big social conscience.
“They’re both feminists. They’re huge supporters of the LGBT community, they support diversity in any way, so if I’ve done anything right, and their dad obviously, we’ve raised two cracking boys.”
Denise recently admitted she shed two stone after undergoing cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to stop a food addiction – but she still loves eating pies, and fish and chips at times.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, she added: “I gave up alcohol and then I started what I thought may have turned into a food addiction, I replaced alcohol with food.
“I thought, ‘I’m on a rocky road here.’ So I used CBT which helped me to change my relationship with food.
“So I still love fish and chips, and I still love pies. I’m still a Geordie, obviously. But I make more informed decisions to have them.
“It [CBT] doesn’t mean it changes your personality and that you don’t want to have a binge and stuff your face sometimes.
“We’re all prone to that, but there’s little tools I can use to stop emotionally eating, and just make more informed decisions to have things. I’m in a very good place.”
Last month, the former ‘Waterloo Road’ star admitted she barely recognises who she was before she quit drinking.
She wrote on Twitter: “Today marks 7 yrs since I had my last drink. I hardly recognise the woman I was but I feel for her. Giving up saved my life (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ainsley Harriott and James Martin are planning to bring back ‘Ready Steady Cook’.
The cooking competition hasn’t been on screen since 2010 but the former host has revealed he and the show’s resident chef are hoping to get it back on TV, where they’d be joined by a “raft of new chefs”.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “Me and James have been discussing it recently, he is at the forefront of the production side of things, and he is saying that people are talking about it.
“Fingers crossed they go for it. It’s a unique format and there’s nothing else on TV quite like it – it’s so easy for people to follow. Me and James would do it, along with a raft of new chefs.”
The 62-year-old chef previously claimed ‘Ready Steady Cook’ – which first hit television screens in 1994 and was presented by Fern Britton before he took over in 2000 – would trump shows like ‘Great British Bake Off’ and ‘MasterChef’ in the ratings war if it ever were to make a return because the key to its appeal was that cooking was done in “real time”.
He explained: “A lot of people would like to see it back – it was a fantastic programme. I think it was one of the most natural cooking programmes on TV. You saw the ingredients and it was in real time.”
“‘MasterChef’ and all of them, they never do it in real time. If things went wrong, you saw them go wrong. It had an energy of its own. I’d love it to come back as it identifies with a nation of people.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan Barton Hanson had cosmetic surgery to ease the “pain” of looking in the mirror.
The ‘Love Island’ star was tormented by “nasty” classmates when she was at school and admitted it was initially “difficult” to persuade her mother to let her go under the knife – but once her mum saw how upset she was, she agreed at once.
She said: “[As a teenager, I was] awkward, geeky, massive glasses and braces. I was so shy. You get more confident, therapy helped.
“At school, kids can be so nasty. It was getting to me every day. I’d tie my hair back and my ears stuck out. Boys would make comments.
“It was difficult convincing my mum. She’s like, you’re so young, you won’t care, it’s only because you’re going through that awkward teenage stage. When she saw how much it was bothering me, it was a no-brainer…
“Every morning I woke up and didn’t feel good. Looking in the mirror was painful almost.”
Though the 25-year-old beauty admitted she still has days where she feels down about her appearance, she’s learned to focus her attention elsewhere.
Asked what she does when she’s feeling bad about herself, she told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Look at the bigger picture, life goes on. There’s more to care about than looks. I focus on something else.
“I do yoga, exercising, eating well, going to the gym because if I ate McDonald’s and felt sorry for myself, that would not feel good. I’m not a gym freak. Everything in moderation.”
Megan is aware of the impact social media posts can have on self esteem so she tries to “keep it real” by showing the bad in her life as well as the good.
She said: “I post when I go to award ceremonies and when I’ve my hair and make-up done, but I keep it real. When I broke up with my ex I posted me crying in bed. I have days when I feel completely alone, I try and get the balance right…
“Like everybody, I’m guilty of comparing myself to others. That’s the biggest downfall in social media. [Now] an hour before I go to bed, I try not to be on Instagram.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Pena is set to star in the ‘Tom and Jerry’ movie.
Following the news that Chloe Grace Moretz has been cast in the live-action/animated hybrid movie from Warner Bros. as Kayla, a new employee at a posh hotel, the ‘Ant-Man’ star – who portrayed crook Luis in the Marvel blockbuster – has boarded the project as her alter ego’s evil boss Terrance.
After Jerry sets up home in the hotel, Kayla hires Tom, who is a struggling alley cat, to get rid of him but the pair soon work together to get rid of Terrance.
Tim Story (Shaft) is director and producer of the movie, which is scheduled for release in 2021.
Michael will next be seen starring as Mr. Roarke in ‘Fantasy Island’.
The 42-year-old actor was recently confirmed for the part in the film adaptation from director Jeff Wadlow.
The role was previously filled by Ricardo Montalban on the ABC TV series.
On the show, the iconic Mr. Roarke served as the overseer of the island who granted the fantasies of its visitors.
The hit series, which launched in 1978, touched on a host of dark themes and the supernatural.
The movie adaptation has been written by the director alongside Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs.
Meanwhile, the ‘Crash’ actor recently claimed that attitudes towards Latino and Latina talent are changing in Hollywood.
Michael initially faced a struggle to establish himself in the movie business, given the lack of opportunities for Latino stars, but he thinks the landscape is slowly changing.
He shared: “The thing is, I started acting about 23 years ago, and it was very tough to get an audition, let alone a part. There are these things called ‘breakdowns’ where they give character descriptions and outline who can audition for them.
“I still have some of these, where the first 10 would be caucasian, so only caucasians could audition for them.”
But he now feels more optimistic about the movie business.
He said: “It was difficult for me to break through, because nine times out of 10, it was some gangster or whatever. Now, though, I don’t have such a pessimistic viewpoint about it all.
“The way that I’m seeing it, things are changing and becoming better all the time. I’m glad I can be a part of that. I want to keep on changing the status quo. It’s good to want change, but only if you’re willing to be part of that change.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephen King’s ‘The Long Walk’ is being made into a film that is being directed by Norwegian filmmaker André Øvredal.
The ‘Troll Hunter’ director is set to helm New Line’s big screen adaptation of the book, which was released by King in 1979 under the pseudonym Richard Bachman.
The dystopian novel is set in an America ruled by a totalitarian and militaristic dictator and follows one hundred teenage boys as they join an annual walking contest called ‘The Long Walk’ or just ‘The Walk’.
Each contestant, called a ‘Walker’, must maintain a speed of at least four miles per hour; if he drops below that speed for 30 seconds, he will receive a verbal warning on three occasions before being shot dead by soldiers riding in half-tracks along the roadside.
The winner receives ‘The Prize’: which is anything he wants for the rest of his life.
Although ‘The Long Walk’ was not King’s first novel to be released, it was the first he wrote, having started it in his first year studying at University of Maine.
The screenplay has been written by James Vanderbilt who is also producing with Bradley Fischer and William Sherak.
‘The Long Walk’ is one of three King adaptations in the works at New Line.
‘It: Chapter Two’ will be released in September 2019 and is set 27 years after the events of ‘It’ and will see the adult members of ‘The Losers Club’ return to Maine to fight the evil Pennywise the Dancing Clown once again.
Meanwhile, James Wan is teaming up with screenwriter Gary Dauberman – who penned the script for 2017’s remake of ‘It’ and the upcoming sequel – to adapt the 1975 book ‘Salem’s Lot’ – which follows a writer who returns to his childhood home to discover everyone he knows is a vampire.

OHMYGOSSIP — Guy Ritchie made ‘Aladdin’ because his family “wouldn’t let it go” and continuously begged him to take on the live-action remake of the classic Disney animation.
The 50-year-old director was left with no choice but to accept the offer from Walt Disney Studios to helm the project because his wife Jacqui Ainsley is a “major Disneyphile” and their kids – sons Rafael, seven, and Levi, four, and daughter Rivka, six – “were like a dog with a bone” once they heard about the idea.
Speaking at the world premiere of ‘Aladdin’ in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (21.05.19), he said: “Once ‘Aladdin’ came up in conversation my kids weren’t gonna [drop it] and they were a dog with a bone and they weren’t gonna let it go. So there was the sort of street hustle, my wife is a major Disneyphile.
“So a major combination of Disney princesses from my wife’s side the other stuff from my kids side and me from the sort of street hustler side it just seemed like ‘Aladdin’ should be the one.”
The ‘Snatch’ director – who also has sons Rocco, 18, and David, 13, with his ex-spouse Madonna – went on to explain that although it was difficult to find the right actress to play Princess Jasmine, 26-year-old Naomi Scott – who stars opposite Mena Massoud’s Aladdin – “ticked all the boxes” and was chosen because of her “sheer warmth of character”.
He said: “Naomi plays Jasmine and we looked for a very long time before we found a Jasmine it’s not easy to find Jasmine but again she kind of ticked the prerequisite boxes. In the end it was her charisma, a sheer warmth of character she’s very, very easy to like Naomi, I mean really the whole cast is very easy to like, apart from Jafar, but everyone else they’re fun to be with.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Crystal Maze’ will return this year with a brand new zone.
The popular show – featuring returning host Richard Ayoade – will add a new games area for the first time since its original run in the 1990s with ‘The Eastern Zone’ being introduced for the upcoming celebrity series.
It’s said the new area – which will appear alongside Aztec, Futuristic and Industrial Zones – has been influenced by historic architecture, art and monuments from East Asia, including a lily pond, ornate vases and cherry blossom trees.
The zone will be made up of five games rooms with eight challenges for the celebrity teams to face.
Production designer James Dillon – the man behind every game area since the show’s original run – said it was “very exciting to be asked to design a new zone”.
He added: “The challenge, to create a zone referencing such an ancient and beautiful part of the world, and to bring those intense, rich colours and textures to the mix of zones that make up the Maze, has been most enjoyable.
The revamp marks the first change since the Ocean Zone was introduced during the fourth series in 1993.
The original run of ‘The Crystal Maze’ ended in 1995 after six seasons, before making a return in 2017.
Previous contestants for the celebrity editions have included the likes of former Olympian Dame Kelly Holmes, Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, ‘Countdown’ genius Rachel Riley and rapper Big Narstie.
‘The Crystal Maze’ will return to Channel 4 later this year with 13 new episodes.
