OHMYGOSSIP — James Arthur would love to be a judge on the celebrity version of ‘The X Factor’.
The ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ hitmaker previously walked away as the champion of the ITV singing competition back in 2012, and after plans were announced to create an all star version of the programme, James has said he’d “love to get involved” as a member of the judging panel.
Speaking to Mirror Online, he said: “I’d love to get involved but I wouldn’t want to be a contestant. I’m still signed to a record label so I don’t think it would be right for me to take part in that way, but I’d definitely be up for helping out in some way.”
And when asked if he’d judge the show, he added: “Yes I’d love to do that. If they want a really honest judge then I’d be more than happy to do it.”
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that retired footballer and TV hard man Vinnie Jones was in talks to appear on the revamped show, after releasing his debut album ‘Respect’ in 2002.
An insider said: “Vinnie looks all set to take part in the celebrity edition of ‘The X Factor’. Talks are ongoing and the details haven’t been agreed but it’s more than likely he will make the final line-up.
“He may have a rough and ready persona but Vinnie is a great singer and loves performing.”
But although the team want Vinnie involved, it’s said to be “way too early” to have any solid news on who else is being lined up.
The source explained: “It’s early days and producers have been inundated with requests from celebrities wanting to be on the show.
“They are in talks with a variety of exciting names, but it’s way too early to confirm anything.
“Conversations about the line-up are ongoing and not set in stone. Producers are keeping tight-lipped right now, but it’s set to be a very exciting show.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Clarkson is set to front a series about farming.
The 59-year-old television star is known for being a petrol head on shows including ‘Top Gear’ and ‘The Grand Tour’, but he’s now set to front a programme that explores his second love of farming, as he’s become increasingly worried about the future of our food supply.
Jeremy will present the series, called ‘I Bought the Farm’, which is set to start filming in September and will focus on his agricultural life in Oxfordshire.
He said: “Scientists calculate that we have just 90 years before we run out of food, because of soil depletion. That’s just 90 more harvests.”
The series is set to show the dilemmas farmers face when it comes to environmental struggles and an overwhelming increase in demand.
Jeremy added: “When you till the soil or plough in weeds, it releases carbon into the atmosphere. So you think, ‘OK, I won’t plough, I’ll just spray the weeds.’ But that’s bad for the bees. Every decision you make as a farmer is bad for some reason or another.”
And the TV star says other programmes such as ‘Countryfile’ tend to portray a romantic version of farming, something which he hopes to correct through his own show, which will showcase “actual farming”.
He said: “This is not Kate Humble – much as I like Kate Humble – with 20 acres, bottle-feeding a lamb. Or a TV presenter who grows veg in his back garden. This is actual farming: life, death and form filling.
“We’re not making ‘Countryfile’. We’ll be showing it warts and all. For example, I have no view on badger culling in terms of whether it’s necessary, but if it’s happening we will not shy away from putting it in the programme.”
‘I Bought the Farm’ will be shown on Amazon Prime Video next year, the same platform on which ‘The Grand Tour’ – which he fronts with James May and Richard Hammond – airs.

OHMYGOSSIP — Gregg Wallace has become a father for the third time.
The ‘MasterChef’ star and his wife Anne-Marie Wallace have welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Sid, after years of fertility struggles.
Gregg – who already has Tom and Libby from his marriage to Denise Wallace – told OK! magazine: “I was far more scared this time than when I had Tom and Libby. I don’t know if it’s because it took us so long to conceive or perhaps it’s because I’m older, but I was scared for their health. I could have hugged the doctors.
“I went down the business end and watched the doctors pull Sid out. I saw him take his first breath, it was just beautiful. I looked at him and thought he was perfect.”
Anne-Marie fell pregnant with their child last summer, shortly before the pair were due to start treatment to help them conceive after having spent years trying for a baby of their own.
When they announced they were expecting, 54-year-old Gregg said: “We were due to start IVF but then it happened naturally after two years of trying. The doctor told us it was a miracle Anna was pregnant.”
The television personality isn’t likely to give Sid any younger siblings in the future though, as he’ll already be in his 70s when Sid is grown up and moving out of the family home.
He said: “Usually when you have a child, by the time they’re 20 the parents get their life back a bit, but I’ll be in my 70s.
“So, we agreed; one child and she’d have some help here at home – so her mum and dad have moved down from Coventry and they share this house.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Danan is writing a television drama that he says will be the new ‘Orange Is The New Black’ and inspired by his own experiences of rehab.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actor has had several stints in rehab, first for cocaine abuse and later on for addiction to prescription pain medication, but is now clean and credits the work of the doctors and therapists who treated him with saving his life.
During his last spell in rehab, Paul began penning a script for a drama based on his own experiences and the “characters” you meet in rehab and he is now completing the story with his friend and playwright Michael Head so it is ready to pitch to TV companies.
Speaking on his podcast ‘The Morning After’, Paul – who was also a contestant on the first ever series of ‘Love Island’ in 2005 – said: “So I’ve had this idea. I’ve been to so many rehabs and every time I went to a treatment centre I saw the characters; I saw the doctors and the nurses and the staff and the therapists and the patients. The clients come in and they’re so battered and bruised and they’re hanging on a loose thread, then three months later or a month later they’re walking out a completely different person, brand new, healthy, beautiful looking, a completely different person. It’s an amazing thing to watch and everyone’s a character and everyone’s talented or very artistic. I just started writing this script when I was in rehab because I was so bored, I’ve been in them so many times and for so long, I was just sitting in my bedroom and I was thinking about all these characters coming in and out and I started writing this story. I want to make a drama that is like ‘Orange Is The New Black’ but is about rehab.
“Rehab saved my life. Anyone that knows about addiction and knows about metal health will be able to empathise.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Osman would rather be an author than a TV presenter.
The 48-year-old TV star is most known for his work on BBC quiz show ‘Pointless’, which he created and co-presents, but after signing a mammoth £1.1 million book deal for his debut novel ‘The Thursday Murder Club’, he’s said writing is where his passions lie.
He said: “I want to do loads of these books because there’s a million things that can happen.
“I’d like to be an author, not a TV presenter, in ten years’ time. But it’s up to whether the public read my work and like it – and hopefully they will.
“I’m very aware that I’ve had a very good run – I’ve been lucky with the TV shows I’ve done – but you’ve got to prepare for the future as well.”
Richard worked on his upcoming novel in secret for 18 months before finally sharing it to the world a month ago when he let his agent Juliet Mushens read a first draft before she took it to publishers.
He added: “I was writing it completely by myself. I hadn’t told anyone. I was thinking, like anyone who’s ever written anything, ‘This might be terrible – but if it’s no good, at least I wrote a book. I didn’t have any expectations.
“Now I’m over the moon that everyone likes it so much and people will read it.”
And although he loves knowing people around the country are interested in his writing, he says he’s even more thrilled about the attention his book has gotten overseas, where people “don’t know” who he is.
He told The Sun newspaper: “I’m weirdly more excited that the Americans and the Germans and the French have bought it – because they don’t know who I am. For them, it’s not some boring celebrity who’s written a novel, they just read the book and really loved it.”
‘The Thursday Murder Club’ is set to be released in 2020 as part of a classic crime series, with a second book planned for the following year.

OHMYGOSSIP — Natalie Portman doesn’t think ‘Léon: The Professional’ could be made now.
The 37-year-old actress made her acting debut at the age of 13 playing Mathilda in the assassin film, a street-wise girl who forms an unusual relationship with her much older neighbour, a professional hitman called Léon (Jean Reno) and becomes his protégée when her family is killed by a corrupt Drug Enforcement Administration agent Norman Stansfield (Gary Oldman).
Now, the ‘Black Swan’ star – who has children Amalia, two and seven-year-old Aleph with husband Benjamin Millepied – has admitted that although making the movie was “100 percent a positive experience” she doesn’t think it would be remade today as it’s “largely inappropriate”, and confessed she isn’t keen on her kids watching the picture.
She said: “It’s as weird mix. It’s still the thing people come up to me the most on the street, even more than ‘Star Wars’ or ‘Black Swan’.
“I appreciate it when something connects with an audience. It also gave me my career on a platter and was a 100 percent a positive experience. I loved doing it. But you watch and it’s largely inappropriate.
“There’s a lot of stuff in there that’s not amazing through today’s eyes. I think because people are still connected to it and care about it and I personally did not have anything but positive feelings, I still feel more on the proud side. Even though I totally understand – I don’t know how I’d show that to my kids. ”
When asked whether the film could be made today, she told Empire magazine: “I don’t think it could.
“There are so many things that [used to be acceptable that aren’t anymore]. There are children’s books I read and I think ‘You Can’t say that!'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Millie Bobby Brown was unofficially cast in ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ before the movie even went into production.
The 15-year-old actress is set to play Madison Russell in the follow-up film to Gareth Edwards’ 2014 ‘Godzilla’, and director Michael Dougherty has said it was always the plan to get her to star in the movie after he and his pre-visualisation animators used her face as a reference for the character before the movie even began filming.
Speaking about Millie – who rose to fame on Netflix show ‘Stranger Things’ – Michael told ScreenRant.com: “Millie’s great. She was still … Season 2 of ‘Stranger Things’ had just been shot. Not even aired yet. I was a huge fan of the show and my pre-viz animators and I used her face as reference, as a model for the pre-viz for the movie before we ever cast her.
“We got so used to seeing her face that we just kind of said, ‘Well … why don’t we make her the offer?’ And we had a breakfast here at The London, years ago, and we actually spent more time talking about our mutual love of animals and pet reptiles and just a love of nature that I think she clicked with the themes of the film.”
‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ is set to feature several giant Kaiju, known as Titans, including the likes of Mothra, King Ghidorah, Rodan, and the titular Godzilla itself.
While the nature of Millie’s role is not yet known, it’s thought she could be one of Mothra’s fairies, which the giant insect is known for using to communicate with mankind.
Alongside Millie, the movie is also set to star Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Ken Watanabe, Charles Dance, and O’Shea Jackson Jr, and will hit cinema screens later this week.

OHMYGOSSIP — Harrison Ford says “nobody” will replace him as Indiana Jones.
The 76-year-old actor has starred as the titular archaeologist in all four of the franchise’s movies, as well as gearing up to reprise the role in the planned fifth instalment.
And although Disney CEO Bob Iger previously said the fifth film would not just be “a one-off” but added he couldn’t guarantee Harrison would stay in the titular role, the actor has now insisted there will be no more Indiana Jones movies without him donning the iconic hat.
Speaking on the ‘Today’ show, Harrison said: “Nobody else is gonna be Indiana Jones! Don’t you get it? I’m Indiana Jones. When I’m gone, he’s gone. It’s easy… This is a hell of a way to tell Chris Pine this.”
Harrison’s reference to Chris Pine comes after there were rumours of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star Chris Pratt taking over the role back in 2015, when talk of the fifth instalment began.
In the clip from the show, Harrison’s smiling expression seems to show he made the error in muddling up the actors on purpose.
Meanwhile, last year it was confirmed the fifth Indiana Jones movie would be delayed until 2021, so that more work could be done on the script.
The movie was originally scheduled for release in July this year before it was later pushed back to July 2020 and Disney issued an amended schedule in July 2018, which listed ‘Indiana Jones 5’ as coming out on July 9, 2021.
The franchise, which started in 1981, follows the fictional archaeologist, who originally fought against the Nazis in their search for Biblical artefacts.
However, in the 2008 movie ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’, fans of the franchise were disappointment that the movie took a different angle and dealt with alien origins rather than Biblical stories.

OHMYGOSSIP — James Cameron says ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ is a “fast white-knuckle ride”.
The upcoming sci-fi movie is set to be a direct sequel to ‘Terminator’ and ‘Terminator 2: Judgement Day’ – despite it actually being the sixth film in the franchise – and producer James Cameron has confirmed the flick is going for an “grim, gritty, and fast” feel, with the team hoping to secure an R rating.
Speaking to Flicks in the City, he said: “I think, tonally, what makes this a direct sequel to ‘T1’ and ‘T2’ is as much about the tone as it is about the narrative: It’s R rated, it’s grim, it’s gritty, it’s fast, it’s intense, it’s very linear. The whole story takes place in 36 hours. It’s not this kind of grandiose, complex story. It’s just very focused on the characters, it’s very now, it’s very present and it’s just a fast white-knuckle ride.”
James also confirmed the movie – which is directed by Tim Miller – will continue with both Sarah Connor and John Connor’s stories, whilst also introducing a “very different” version of the T-800 robot, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
He added: “I think the best way to think about ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ is to think about it as a direct sequel to ‘Terminator 2’, the third film in a series, if you will. We’ll be continuing with Sarah’s story, John’s story, and the T-800 returns – a different T-800 with a very different role to play than what we’ve seen before.”
‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ is set more than two decades after the events of ‘Terminator 2: Judgement Day’, and will hit cinema screens in November.

OHMYGOSSIP — Laura Harrier and Skeet Ulrich have joined Tom Hanks in ‘Bios’.
The 29-year-old actress – who is best known for her roles as Liz Allan in Marvel’s ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ and Patrice in Spike Lee’s 2018 hit ‘BlacKkKlansman’- is set to star in the upcoming sci-fi film alongside Skeet, 49, who starred in 90s cult hits ‘Scream’ and ‘The Craft’ as Billy Loomis and Chris Hooker respectively.
The pair join a star-studded cast including Hollywood legend Hanks, 62, ‘Orange Is the New Black’ actress Samira Wiley, 32, and ‘Get Out’ star Caleb Landry Jones.
The post-apocalyptic movie will follow Hanks as Finch, an ailing inventor who creates a robot to protect the life of his beloved dog when he dies.
Samira will play Weaver, a survivor, while Caleb will portray Jeff, the robot created by Finch. It is not yet known what roles Laura and Skeet will play.
Emmy-award winning director Miguel Sapochnik – best known for his work on HBO hit series ‘Game of Thrones’ – will helm the project while Craig Luck and Ivor Powell have written the screenplay.
Robert Zemeckis, Luck, Sapochnik, and Andy Berman will serve as executive producers on the film while Universal Pictures will distribute the project domestically and in select international territories.
‘Bios’ is slated for release on October 2, 2020.
Lauren was first recognized for her portrayal of Destiny Evans in the short-lived reboot of the American soap opera ‘One Life to Live’ in 2013 and will soon be seen in upcoming American-British drama film ‘Balance, Not Symmetry’. Skeet stars in Netflix’s hit teen series ‘Riverdale’ as FP Jones, the leader of the Southside Serpents and the father of Cole Sprouse’s Jughead Jones.

OHMYGOSSIP — Allison Williams thinks her role in ‘Get Out’ enhances her character in ‘The Perfection’.
The 31-year-old actress plays Rose Armitage in the 2017 hit horror film – the girlfriend of Daniel Kaluuya’s Chris Washington who harbours a disturbing secret about her family – and admitted that it may be “helpful” that viewers have an “associative hangover” from that role.
Speaking at ‘The Perfection’s Los Angeles press day, she said: “Richard [Shepard] sent it to me and said, ‘This is insane. You need to call me after you read it.’ And I was like, ‘Okay, well if you think it’s insane, and you’re insane, and I think it’s insane, and I’m insane, this must be really, really crazy.’ And it was!
“And I called him right afterwards and as we were talking about it, it occurred to me that if you have a sort of associative hangover of me from ‘Get Out’ it’s very helpful to go into ‘The Perfection’ with that.”
‘The Perfection’ follows troubled musical prodigy Charlotte (Williams) who seeks out the new star pupil of her former school, Elizabeth (Logan Browning) – and writer and director Richard Shepard insisted that it “helps enormously” that audiences won’t know whether to initially trust the ‘Girls’ star, because of her role in ‘Get Out’.
Shepard added: “The fact that people don’t initially really trust Allison because of ‘Get Out’ helps us enormously because Alison’s playing a character that you’re not quite sure is a good guy, or a bad guy.
“You can’t quite get a grasp on her. And that’s really important in a movie like this because people are projecting what they think. So Allison’s sort of baggage helps a lot.”

OHMYGOSSIP — J.J. Abrams says ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ will feature Carrie Fisher interacting with her real-life daughter, Billie Lourd.
Carrie passed away at the age of 60 in 2016 after having filmed her role as General Leia Organa in just two of the latest trilogy of ‘Star Wars’ movies, and it was previously revealed that her character would be brought to life in the final instalment using unused scenes from the previous two instalments which were shot before her passing.
The 52-year-old filmmaker revealed that the new movie will see Carrie’s character conversing with a Resistance officer named Lieutenant Connix, played by Billie, 26, and insisted it really feels as though “Carrie is there”.
He said: “There are moments in this movie where Carrie is there. And I really do feel there is an element of the uncanny, spiritual, you know, classic Carrie, that it would have happened this way, because somehow it worked. And I never thought it would.”
Abrams added that it was “bizarre” trying to piece together the footage of the late star.
He added to Vanity Fair magazine: “The lighting was tweaked just so to make the footage look right. It was a bizarre kind of left side/right side of the brain sort of Venn diagram thing, of figuring out how to create the puzzle based on the pieces we had.”
The director previously admitted that it would have been “impossible” to recast Carrie’s role in the film and there was “no way” he was going to write the character completely out of the story.
He said: “As I’ve said we couldn’t [fill the void left by Carrie.] Chris Terrio, the co-writer and Kathy [Kennedy] … as we all talked about how to move on. It was impossible, no way, what are you going to do? You don’t recast that part or certainly have her disappear.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Elizabeth McGovern says the ‘Downton Abbey’ movie is “for the fans”.
The 57-year-old actress – who plays Lady Cora Crawley – says that the highly-anticipated big screen adaptation of the hit ITV series is for viewers who have “loved getting to know the characters” and she hopes the film lives up to the fans’ huge expectations.
She said: “I think so, it’s certainly our intention. I haven’t seen it yet but it is for the fans, it’s for the people that stayed with the show that loved getting to know the characters who have been through very much.”
The movie will see the return of fan favourites including Dame Maggie Smith as the Dowager Countess of Grantham and Hugh Bonneville as Lord Grantham and Elizabeth insisted filming was like reuniting with “family” and the cast immediately “slot back in” to “old dynamics”.
She said: “It felt like we’d never left, it was amazing. I mean it really is a bit like a family. We’ve been through so much together and you just slot right back in all the old dynamics just resume and we march on.”
The ‘Ordinary People’ star went on to tease that the film will pick up very near to where the show ended, and admitted it felt like “no time had passed” when she returned to shoot the movie.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘This Morning’, she said: “It’s not that much further forwards so we’re the same year, the house hasn’t changed very much. In fact I was surprised to see that not a blade of grass had shifted I felt like no time had passed whatsoever.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Goodger is set to star in the new series of ‘Celebs Go Dating’.
The 32-year-old reality star is being lined up for this year’s edition of the Channel 4 dating show alongside ‘Love Island’ winner Jack Fincham, ‘Geordie Shore’ favourite Nathan Henry and Blue singer Lee Ryan.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star – who hasn’t had much luck when it comes to her dating life over the years – is reportedly hoping that the show’s relationship expert Fred Sirieix and his team at Paternoster Chop House in London will set her up with the “man of her dreams” following her split from jailbird Joey Morrison.
A TV source told The Sun’s Bizarre column: “Joining the Celebs Go Dating agency is a big deal for Lauren. She hasn’t always had the best experiences with men and it’s been a while since she’s done reality TV.
“There’s lots of intrigue in her love life and all her fans want is for Lauren to find the man of her dreams and settle down. Lee is always unpredictable and makes great TV. He’s 35 and hopes the agents can help him find a suitable match.”
The TV beauty – who dated Mark Wright on and off for 10 years until he met his now-wife Michelle Keegan – dumped former flame Joey over the summer after she found out that he had been sexting other women from prison.
She said recently: “I wait it out longer than I should until I’m done and then I get over it. I’ve never been single and you have one life.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Alex George needed therapy after appearing on ‘Love Island’.
The former contestant admitted that although he doesn’t think the show is “bad”, he sought counselling “within 24 hours” after appearing on the ITV2 dating programme as it was such a “huge change” from his life before the show.
Speaking to Radio 1 Newsbeat, he said: “Not because the show was bad, but because it’s a huge change in your life dealing with social media.
“Within 24 hours I had an appointment booked and I continued to be seen, so I’ve had really good aftercare.”
Earlier this month, ITV confirmed a number of changes to their duty of care processes ahead of the new series, and the 28-year-old doctor revealed that he is now helping producers provide aftercare to contestants when the series is over.
He added: “I actually gave some of my thoughts and advice on what I would change – and some of those things have clearly been incorporated, which is great.”
The show’s new guidelines promise “enhanced psychological support” and “a proactive aftercare package”.
Alex went on to insist that bosses on the show “really care” about their contestants and that he thinks it’s important that all contestants will now be required to have several sessions – as some may struggle to “ask for help”.
He said: “Love Island’s massive and it’s done very well – and the flipside of that is they have a duty of care to look after everyone. From my experience, these are people that really care.”
“My concern is you have certain people on the show who, even if they’re really really struggling, won’t ask for help.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Gentleman Jack’ has been recommissioned for a second series.
The first episode of the drama – which stars Suranne Jones as Anne Lister – only aired on BBC One on Sunday (19.05.19), but boasted impressive launch figures, with an average overnight audience of 5.1 million viewers, and a peak of 5.6 million.
And thanks to the success of the first episode – which was the most successful launch for a new BBC drama this year – the programme has been commissioned for a second series.
‘Gentleman Jack’ is produced by Lookout Point in partnership with HBO, and is written by Sally Wainwright, using the real life diaries of Anne Lister as its source, with every part of her story based in historical fact and the five million words she wrote in her journals.
Speaking about the renewal of the show, Sally – who is also the brain behind hit shows such as ‘Happy Valley’ and ‘Last Tango in Halifax’ – said in a statement: “It’s so exciting that so many people have had such a positive response to Suranne’s exuberant performance as the brilliant, life-affirming Anne Lister and to Sophie’s beautiful performance as her courageous partner, Ann Walker. I’m utterly delighted that we’ve been recommissioned, because there are so many more big, bold stories to tell about Anne Lister and Ann Walker. A massive thank you to the BBC and HBO and to everyone at Lookout Point.”
Whilst Suranne says she can’t wait to get back on set alongside her talented co-stars, which includes Sophie Rundle, Gemma Whelan, Gemma Jones, and Timothy West.
In her own statement, she said: “I’m so thrilled that I will be joining Sally Wainwright on the second part of Anne’s journey. We always dreamed there would be more and now we get to play it all out. A huge thank you to the BBC, HBO and Lookout Point for giving us our second series. It’s such amazing and positive news. I love working with the brilliant and talented Sophie Rundle and can’t wait to create some more Lister and Walker moments with her too.”
Further details on the second series, which will again consist of eight episodes, will be announced in due course.
Series one of ‘Gentleman Jack’ continues with its second episode on Sunday (26.05.19) at 9pm on BBC One.
