OHMYGOSSIP — Helen Worth fears Coronation Street’s Platt family may be “torn apart” for good after Audrey Roberts discovered her grandson Nick Tilsley stole her £80,000.
The Weatherfield legend – played by Sue Nicholls – was left shocked on last night’s (28.05.19) episode after finding out her own flesh and blood Nick (Ben Price) took her inheritance, and Helen, who plays Audrey’s daughter Gail Rodwell, isn’t sure if the ‘Corrie’ clan will ever recover.
She said: “Something like this could absolutely tear the family apart.
“I don’t think Gail will believe it. She doesn’t think her boys could do anything wrong, certainly not Nick. I think she’s going to be deeply upset.”
Sue admits Audrey is “heartbroken” by the shock news, and is particularly gutted that her former flame, conman Lewis Archer (Nigel Havers) – who passed away in Corrie’s New Year’s Day (01.01.19) episode – got the blame.
Speaking on a behind the scenes video on the ‘Coronation Street’ Twitter account, Sue said: “She’s heartbroken, she can’t believe it. Most of all, she feels even crosser with them for blaming Lewis, who she really was in love with.
“We don’t know what she’s going to do next.”
Audrey’s other grandson David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) confessed last night that Nick stole the money but admitted he had helped him spend it with the pair investing the cash in barbers Trim Up North.
But Ben believes Nick would’ve paid his gran back in some way – even suggesting his alter-ego might have eventually bought her hair salon for “double the price” to ensure she was repaid.
Ben said: “He would have orchestrated a way to just say they are doing well and wanted to give her some money.
“Or he would have found a way of buying Audrey’s without her knowing for double the price and she would have got her money back.
“He would have been smart and he believed he would have got away with it. What annoys him more in his arrogance is that he believes his mum and gran would have come round but he is furious that David didn’t have the balls to see it through.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Stevenson is taking a break from ‘Casualty’.
The 36-year-old star has portrayed paramedic Iain Dean since 2012, and admits it was an emotional decision to depart the BBC medical serial drama because he has “fine and fond memories” of his time on the show.
He said: “With huge sadness but immense pride, I have decided to take a break from this amazing show.
“Playing the role of Iain Dean has been a pure pleasure over the past six years, and I have nothing but fine and fond memories.
“I have laughed every day and wish to thank everyone involved at ‘Casualty’ for making my time here unforgettable.
“Thank you to the fans of the show for being so supportive of Iain throughout his mental illness storyline.”
But Michael has confirmed Iain will return at some point.
He added: “The response from the public has been astonishing, and I am incredibly proud of the work and what it has done for people’s perception and awareness of needing to talk.
“Iain’s journey will continue.”
‘Casualty’ executive producer Simon Harper is quoted by Digital Spy as saying: “After his magnificent work carrying the lion’s share of powerful story in this series of ‘Casualty’, Michael is taking a well-deserved break from this paramedic duties – I couldn’t be prouder of his stunning work on ‘Casualty’, and the door is wide open for his return.”
Iain recently tried to take his own life as part of a hard-hitting storyline which rose awareness of the pressures on emergency service workers and their mental health, and Michael admitted it is important to show life “isn’t always a bed of roses” for NHS staff.
He recently said: “I believe that we have a responsibility to give out a positive message about the NHS. But there is equal responsibility to tell the story of the NHS staff, and that isn’t always a bed of roses.
“Of course, you have to dramatize, but at the moment [‘Casualty’] focuses on these individuals as people and what they do and what they have to face.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan Barton-Hanson signed up for ‘Celebs Go Dating’ after struggling to find love in the public eye.
The 25-year-old reality star has opened up about her recent decision to feature on the new series of the Channel 4 celebrity dating show, following her breakup with former ‘Love Island’ co-star Wes Nelson in January, and admitted she needs help to “find the one” because dating outside of the ITV2 show has been “massively harder than anticipated”.
Sharing a post of the Channel 4 cast on Instagram, she wrote: “I vowed never to do reality dating show again however dating in the public eye is massively harder than anticipated.. I cannot wait to see who the agents will set me up with and help me find the one @celebsgodating @limepictures @e4grams (sic)”
Megan will feature on the much-anticipated new series of the dating series alongside ‘Love Island’ 2018 winner Jack Fincham, ‘Geordie Shore’ favourite Nathan Henry, former ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ star Lady Colin Campbell, and Blue singer Lee Ryan.
Megan recently admitted she wants to try her hand at some TV presenting, and is keen to share her own personal experiences of working in the sex industry.
She said: “I want to get into more presenting. I love what Stacey Dooley does.
“I think I’ve had such an interesting past, and I love to speak about mental health and working in the sex industry and stuff like that. So I want to do more serious – my days of reality are done.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Madeley says his wife Judy Finnigan nearly died after vomiting a litre of blood.
The 63-year-old TV presenter – who has kids Chloe, 31, and Jack, 33, with Judy – has opened up about his spouse’s health scare after she was rushed to hospital last autumn for two life-saving blood transfusions, when she took Ibuprofen on an “empty stomach” to aid an injured knee.
He told The Sun: “She’d been taking Ibuprofen for sore knees and she had no clue that taking them on an empty stomach could seriously affect the stomach lining.
“I dialled 999 and the ­ambulance arrived in about four minutes.
“They had her on a drip and got her to the Royal Free in Hampstead and she had two blood transfusions.”
Richard – who has been married to Judy for 48 years – claims the painkillers made his wife develop four large stomach ulcers and if was told if he’d have wasted any time in calling the ambulance, the former ‘This Morning’ presenter could have “bled out and died”.
He added: “It was touch and f**king go. While she was coming round from that, the surgeon said, ‘She’s going to be fine. Did you call the ­ambulance immediately?’
“I said, ‘Yes,’ and he said, ‘Good, because if you’d waited another 20 minutes she ­probably would have bled out.’ Half an hour tops and she would have died.”
Judy, 70, previously recalled the horrific event earlier this year and blamed her brush with death on “over-the-counter Ibuprofen” she was taking like “sweeties” for four weeks.
She wrote: “Last autumn it happened to me and I nearly died.
“It was nothing to do with aspirin, which I don’t take. The culprit was good old over-the-counter Ibuprofen, the seemingly harmless stuff you take for a bad back, or (in my case) a painful knee.
“I gulped the jolly little bright blue capsules, looking like sweeties, daily for a mere four weeks.
“I survived thanks to an exceptionally swift-arriving and skilled ambulance crew, superb emergency treatment at London’s Royal Free Hospital, and two major life-saving blood transfusions.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dani Dyer has hit out at fans for “judging” her new romance.
The ‘Love Island’ contestant has reunited with former boyfriend Sammy Kimmence after splitting from Jack Fincham and she confirmed their reunion with a loved-up Instagram snap.
However, fans were not impressed with one writing: “jack is better than him what are you doing,” and another adding: “Don’t like this one bit. Poor jack shame Dani just wanted fame and was used.”
Dani, 23, was furious and hit back, writing: “I’m not going to delete anyone’s comments. You all can say what you want to say honestly we live in a free world. But I’m so f happy.I ain’t living a life to prove to people or to fake to people I am something I am not I’ve always been real. Some people like it some people don’t. I’m focusing on number one. No time for anything no plans made it’s just happened and you can judge all you want. But come on I’m the real mf judge Judy (sic).”
Meanwhile, it has been claimed that Jack is “in talks” for the next series of ‘Celebs Go Dating’ after splitting from Dani Dyer.
The 26-year-old reality star could be joining the Channel 4 dating series, because it is thought to be a “perfect opportunity” for the hunk to find love again.
A source told The Sun Online: “This is the perfect opportunity for Jack. He’ll be back on the dating scene in the wake of a difficult break-up.
“But he’ll also get a huge payday from ‘Celebs Go Dating’ and weeks in the spotlight on a show that everyone loves. It’s a win-win.
“Bosses think Jack would be a great addition – not least because everyone will be desperate to see what sort of girl he’ll go for after Dani.”
A spokesperson for the show said: “It’s too early for us to speculate on celebrity clients for the forthcoming series.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Derek Jacobi was worried Johnny Depp would be a “big diva”.
The 80-year-old actor had a “lovely” time shooting ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ with frequent collaborator Sir Kenneth Branagh, and he admitted although he was initially “wary” of the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star, he was glad to discover his fears were unfounded.
He told Total Film: “It was lovely. We played games and we laughed. It was just lovely, lovely. I was a bit wary of Johnny at first. I was playing Johnny Depp’s butler and I didn’t know thow that would go – big star, big diva. But he was lovely.
“In the tiny bit I had with him, he had to shout at me and he said to Ken, ‘I can’t shout at Derek Jack-o-bee.’ I fell in love with him immediately.”
Despite his years of success, the ‘I, Claudius’ actor insists he has simply been “lucky” and has never had much say when it comes to the roles he’s tackled over the years.
He said: “I’ve never chosen my roles, they’ve chosen me! You go where the work is. Most actors are jobbing actors.
“The phone rings, it’s your agent, they want you to do this part, they’ll send you the script… if you hate it, don’t do it.
“Most actors are not in the world of turning work down. I’ve been a very lucky actor in my career.”
And Jacobi is particularly grateful for his early years working in the theatre.
He gushed: “As a young actor in the theatre, I worked with the bests – the Oliviers, the Gielguds, the Schofields, the Guinnesses, the Albert Finneys, the Maggie Smiths. And I was in my twenties when all that happened. It was a wonderful learning experience.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Elton John is heartbroken over Dame Barbara Windsor’s Alzheimer’s disease.
The 72-year-old singer is close friends with the 81-year-old actress and has been keeping in touch with her husband Scott Mitchell, 56, as his pal battles the degenerative disease of the brain, which causes a gradual loss of memory, judgment, and ability to function.
He told The Sun newspaper: “I’ve spoken to Scott and I’ve had emails from him. It’s very sad. I know so many people who have got Alzheimer’s or the onset of Alzheimer’s and it’s really devastating for the people around them. I don’t know what it’s like for them, it must be like being on an acid trip or something.
“For the people who love them it’s a lot of work – a big responsibility, you’re 24/7. And they’re so lovely and he adores her and she adores him and now he’s got this for the rest of her life basically. He’s got to be a nurse, maid and helper and hopefully something might happen. You can never give up hope but it’s so sad because she’s such a vibrant, fabulous woman.”
Scott recently revealed he is “thrilled” at the “impact” her dementia story has had on other sufferers.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star was diagnosed with the degenerative brain condition in 2014, and her spouse Scott has said that although they didn’t intend to rally so much support by going public with the sad news, he’s pleased her story has managed to help others.
Asked if he was surprised by the response to Barbara’s story, Scott said: “I’m surprised, and I’m just thrilled that it’s had that kind of impact. Because that wasn’t the reason we went public, we went public because I couldn’t hide it any longer from people. Because Barbara always gets people coming up to her and it was beginning to be quite obvious.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lorraine Kelly’s cameo appearance in ‘Coronation Street’ will involve a stunt.
The 59-year-old presenter will play herself in the show next week, and will be a guest at the same holiday camp as the Platt family.
When Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth) learns her TV idol is within touching distance, she persuades her daughter, Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) and granddaughter Bethany (Lucy Fallon) to chase her in a pedalo in a bid to meet the star.
Speaking about Lorraine’s cameo, Ben Price, who plays Gail’s son Nick Tilsley, revealed fans are in for a treat.
He told the Daily Star: “She’s got a big part in this storyline. She’s got a stunt. She’s in the best family she could possibly be with.”
Lorraine’s cameo is sure to offer some light relief in a big dramatic week for the soap, which will be airing in a later 9pm timeslot and will see the truth uncovered about Audrey Roberts’ (Sue Nicholls) missing money when her grandson, David Platt, (Jack P. Shepherd) makes a confession and the identity of the Underworld roof saboteur unveiled. There will also be a special mental health episode focused around Carla Connor (Ali King).
The Scottish presenter’s appearance comes just a month after she was delighted to receive a name check in a scene in which Gemma Winter – played by Dolly-Rose Campbell – said she would love Lorraine to be her mum.
Speaking on her morning show ‘Lorraine’ afterwards, she said: “I was in myself watching it so there was nobody for me to go, ‘Oh my God,’ to. My phone just lit up like a Christmas tree.
“I absolutely loved that so much. It made my night, it made my week, it made my year.”
In the scene, Gemma told Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) she wished Lorraine was her mother so she could hang around with celebrities all day.
She said: “I wish Lorraine were my mum.
“She’s dead pretty and we’d have celebs round all the time. I’ve always wanted to be Scottish.”
Speaking to the TV, Gemma then said: “You tell ’em, Lorraine. She’s quite feisty really. We’re similar.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sylvester Stallone wants to make a new ‘Rocky’ movie about immigration.
The 72-year-old actor has revealed his idea for a new film in the franchise, explaining that he would like to put the focus on an immigrant living illegally in the US.
Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival, he said: “I have a great idea for Rocky. He finds this fella who’s in the country illegally and it becomes a whole thing. It would be really phenomenal, really different.
“It’s like a magician. Once you’ve seen how he does the tricks you’re not impressed any more. It’s the same thing with Rocky. You’ve seen everything, so you’re like, ‘How can it be different?’ That would be different. When you take him and throw him out of the country and he’s in another world. It could work. But I ain’t gonna do it.”
However, Stallone insisted that he never intended for the ‘Rocky’ movies to be political.
He said: “I never took it personally, people saying Rocky was really right wing. Rocky is a simple man who grew up in that kind of mentality. That’s just the way it was back then. Everyone was super patriotic growing up. And that’s just the way he is. He’s not a political animal. So when he wraps the flag around him, he thinks he’s doing a good thing.
“Whenever boxers lift up the flag of their nation, it’s just automatic. They’re not saying, ‘We’re better than you.’ It’s what they were trained to do. So I never took it as a confrontational thing.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily James is “fascinated” by psychology and thinks her interest in the subject has helped her as an actress.
The 30-year-old star credits her life-long interest in the subject with benefiting her career because she is “constantly trying to understand” her characters and their way of thinking.
She told Psychologies: “I am fascinated by psychology and philosophy. My father was a great thinker and he had a very analytic mind, as well as being spiritual.
“He always encouraged me to be curious and to discover things on my own and try to think matters through.
“I’m curious about human psychology and acting requires you to be constantly trying to understand your character’s personality, thinking and motivations.”
Lily was just 18 when her father passed away and she wants to honour his memory by compiling a book of the stories he told her when she was younger, which she believed ignited her passion for acting.
She said: “My father was my everything. He was my greatest inspiration and I loved listening to the stories he would create for children with incredible characters – like a cloud that talks and disappears when the sun comes out, and a cow that goes to the market.
“One day, I’m going to collect all his stories and have them published. He had an extraordinary imagination and helped me grow up in a world filled with joy and beautiful reams.
“I’m sure my interest in acting comes from my father and his stories.”
The ‘Yesterday’ star is also interested in singing, and has “always” had a passion for music.
She added: “Ever since I was a child, I was always singing and dancing. Even today, whenever I’m cooking or relaxing in the house, I love to sing.
“Both my grandmother and my father were actors so I have it in my blood. I would love to play a singer.”

OHMYGOSSIP — O’Shea Jackson Jr dreams of making his own anime.
The 28-year-old actor – who is the oldest son of rapper Ice Cube and even played his father in the 2015 movie ‘Straight Outta Compton’ – has revealed his ambition is to create his own computer-animated hit.
Speaking to Screen Rant about his long-term plans, O’Shea explained: “I wanna make my own anime. I really want to do that. I feel that there’s a lot of people in the culture that are fans of anime, but I think we really don’t have that many anime’s directed towards us.
“We have ‘Boondocks’, ‘Black Dynamite’, ‘Afro Samurai’ … and that’s really it. I really want to do something cool with that.
“And I wanna be the guy that gets video game movies right. I feel like video game movies are used as a cash grab, and they have loyal fans; a loyal fanbase that’s untouched, and I wanna knock that out.”
Meanwhile, Ice Cube – whose real name is O’Shea Jackson Sr – previously revealed he is living his dream life as an actor.
The Hollywood star – who first found fame as a rapper – admitted he’s glad he jumped across to films, saying there’s more “longevity” in the movie business.
He said: “I’m going with acting, because of longevity. As an athlete, you got 10, maybe 12 years, then you’re looking for something to do. So I will go with acting as a long shelf life.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ian McShane swore to himself every morning to prepare for the ‘Deadwood’ movie.
The 76-year-old actor has reprised his role as saloon owner Al Swearengen for the first time since the HBO series ended in 2006 and he admitted it was “surreal” portraying his foul-mouthed alter ego once again.
He told Empire magazine: “It was surreal, an out-of-body experience. I had a month after we finished ‘American Gods’ to grow back the facial hair and get the moustache.
“I would mutter to myself, ‘C**ksucker, motherf**ker, c**ksucker, motherf**ker’ every morning o get myself back in the mood to play Al. I’m half-joking, but it was a treat to go back.”
While he enjoyed the return, Ian believes the movie is a final farewell to the series.
He said: “I think this will be the last one. It’s a love letter to the series and a love letter to all the characters. It’s a goodbye. Because this is the final time.”
And the actor found a scene with Paula Malcomson’s Trixie particularly emotional to film.
He added: “We all got choked up every time we did it. I guess because you’re looking at each other and saying, ‘This is the last time we’ll be playing these characters’.
“In your own head, you’re signing off, going, ‘Well – goodbye old pal, I’ll see you later. I’ll see you down the road.’ ”
Ian recently teased fans his character has changed since he was last seen on screen.
He said: “Al is not exactly what he used to be. I mean you can’t drink that much and not be.”
But he was still delighted to return to the story.
He added: “When I was on the road, it would be on and I would watch, and I’d finish up, smiling to myself, ‘it’s a really good show’.
“It was a great show, a terrific show. No bones about it. We did three years. A lot of shows don’t get that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Keeley Hawes thinks suffering depression is in her “DNA”.
The 43-year-old actress has battled depression for years – and she’s convinced she’ll always be vulnerable to the illness.
She shared: “It’s something that never goes away. I think it is in your DNA if you suffer with it.
“I have become better equipped at looking after myself. I’ve tried various things over the years. Keeping busy helps, being forced to carry on, because inevitably it will pass.”
Keeley also struggles with anxiety, although she considers it to be a very “human thing”.
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday newspaper, the ‘Bodyguard’ actress explained: “It’s a very human thing, isn’t it, to worry about what you say and how you are perceived?”
Keeley shared a sizzling on-screen chemistry with actor Richard Madden in the ‘Bodyguard’.
And Keeley thinks that humour was the secret to their much-discussed dynamic.
The actress – who played the role of the Home Secretary in the popular series – said: “The secret is we didn’t stop laughing. You know when someone just tickles you? I felt safe with him.
“We had some very odd things to do together, which means you have to trust each other and I really did trust him.”

The 40-year-old star – who is known for her eye-catching attire on the hit ITV show – has revealed that she and the blonde beauty do their best to ensure that their outfits never clash.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday newspaper, Alesha revealed: “Our style is very different.
“We may give each other a heads up on what colour we are wearing but that’s about it. I do my first fitting a couple of days before the show.”
Alesha also admitted that appearing as a judge on the popular talent show allows her to realise her dreams.
She confessed: “It’s a girl’s dream to play dress-up with such incredible gowns.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Walsh is in talks over a return to ‘The X Factor’.
The 66-year-old TV star – who is a former judge on the popular ITV show – has revealed he’s spoken with Simon Cowell about a potential return, and he’s hopeful Sharon Osbourne will also make a comeback to the programme.
Asked about the possibility of returning to ‘The X Factor’, Louis confessed: “I’m speaking to Simon. Let’s see.”
The entertainment manager subsequently admitted he’d love to see Sharon make a dramatic return to the show, too.
He told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Sharon would be great. She’s burnt a few bridges, but that’s what’s good about her – she has an opinion. She’s never boring or predictable.”
Sharon’s hopes of returning to the show appeared to end in 2018, when she said she’d “put a f***ing brick” around Simon’s neck and then “throw him over”.
However, Louis is confident that Simon and Sharon – who previously starred together on the talent show – can rebuild their professional relationship.
He explained: “She was only joking. It was all panto talk. They will make up. I’m going to mediate between them. I’ll do anything necessary.”
Louis also hailed Simon, explaining that fame and success hasn’t changed him as a man.
Louis said: “He’s never changed. Only thing that has is his face.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Danan is writing a television drama that he says will be the new ‘Orange Is The New Black’ and inspired by his own experiences of rehab.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actor has had several stints in rehab, first for cocaine abuse and later on for addiction to prescription pain medication, but is now clean and credits the work of the doctors and therapists who treated him with saving his life.
During his last spell in rehab, Paul began penning a script for a drama based on his own experiences and the “characters” you meet in rehab and he is now completing the story with his friend and playwright Michael Head so it is ready to pitch to TV companies.
Speaking on his podcast ‘The Morning After’, Paul – who was also a contestant on the first ever series of ‘Love Island’ in 2005 – said: “So I’ve had this idea. I’ve been to so many rehabs and every time I went to a treatment centre I saw the characters; I saw the doctors and the nurses and the staff and the therapists and the patients. The clients come in and they’re so battered and bruised and they’re hanging on a loose thread, then three months later or a month later they’re walking out a completely different person, brand new, healthy, beautiful looking, a completely different person. It’s an amazing thing to watch and everyone’s a character and everyone’s talented or very artistic. I just started writing this script when I was in rehab because I was so bored, I’ve been in them so many times and for so long, I was just sitting in my bedroom and I was thinking about all these characters coming in and out and I started writing this story. I want to make a drama that is like ‘Orange Is The New Black’ but is about rehab.
“Rehab saved my life. Anyone that knows about addiction and knows about metal health will be able to empathise.”
