OHMYGOSSIP — Piers Morgan has praised ‘This Morning’ presenter Holly Willoughby for her “hardcore” drinking ability.
The ‘Good Morning Britain’ anchor is always amazed at his friend Holly’s boozing prowess and says she’s like a “female version of all of the members of Led Zeppelin combined” when it comes to partying.
In an interview in the new issue of Heat magazine, he said: “Holly is a very dangerous lady. Very dangerous. If I go to a party and Holly Willoughby is there, you know your liver is in for a caning, and you could end up in a career-ending situation. She is hardcore. Never has there been a more ill-fitting halo in the history of British showbusiness. She can go for days. Weeks. She’s like a female version of all the members of Led Zeppelin combined.”
Holly and her ‘This Morning’ co-host are famous for their annual celebratory booze session at the after-party of the National Television Awards and their post-bash on-screen hangovers have become a staple of the ITV daytime programme.
But Piers, 54, insists Holly, 38, isn’t the most impressive drinker in the business – that title goes to ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge Amanda Holden.
He added: “It’s got to be Amanda Holden. She’s on a different level altogether. Amanda makes Holly look like a choir girl.”
And Piers also gave a special shout out to his ‘GMB’ co-host Susanna Reid who can party with the best of them when the mood takes her.
He said: “Susanna Reid is up there when she really goes for it. She’s given up drinking at the moment, but I’m hoping that won’t last much longer, because two or three of the best benders I’ve had in my life have been with her.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’ dedicated last night’s (03.06.19) series five launch episode to late former Islander Mike Thalassitis.
The ITV2 show paid tribute to the programme’s former contestant, who was found dead aged 26 in woodland near his home in March, by showing a picture of Mike at the conclusion of the episode.
An accompanying message read: “In loving memory of Mike Thalassitis 1993 – 2019 (sic)”
The tribute came after it was reported producers decided it would be the “right thing” to acknowledge the “difficult subject” upon the show’s return.
A source said: “Producers wanted to pay their respects to Mike and show his friends, family and fans that he was a part of the Love Island family and is missed deeply by everyone.
“It is a really difficult subject but they wanted to address it rather than sweep it under the carpet or pretend it hasn’t happened.”
‘Love Island’ has come under fire following the deaths of Mike and former Islander Sophie Gradon, 32, with some even calling for the show to be axed in the wake of ITV pulling ‘The Jeremy Kyle Show’ after 14 years following the death of a participant.
Mike appeared on the third ‘Love Island’ series in 2017 and went on to star on ‘Celebs Got Dating’ in February 2018.
Just two days after his death, the E4 dating show dedicated an episode to the former footballer.
After the credits rolled, a photo of Mike appeared on the screen alongside the words “In memory of Mike Thalassitis 1993-2019”.
Following Mike’s death, former ‘Love Island’ stars Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies led tributes to the late star.
Kem wrote: “Such heartbreaking news. My thoughts go out to all of Mikes friends and family (sic)”
Amber added in her own post: “I am in utter shock. @MikeThalassitis you were one of the most genuine guy! I just can’t believe this! You’ll be missed so much you have no idea (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Diane Kruger has joined spy thriller ‘355’.
The 42-year-old actress-and-model – who is best known for her roles as Helen of Troy in epic war film ‘Troy’ and Dr. Abigail Chase in the heist movie ‘National Treasure’ – is set to star in the female-led ensemble thriller which Simon Kinberg is directing from a script from Theresa Rebeck.
The pair joins a stellar cast that includes Jessica Chastain, Lupita Nyong’o, Penelope Cruz, Fan Bingbing, Sebastian Stan and Edgar Ramirez
The film will follow top agents from agencies around the world who are forced to co-operate with each other when a new threat emerges involving a weapon that could throw the world into total chaos.
The new agency’s numerical name is inspired by the codename of the one of the earliest spies in the American Revolution, a woman whose identity remains unknown to this day.
Marion Cotillard was originally attached as part of the cast, however, is the only one of the ensemble to drop out of the movie, citing personal reasons.
Chastain is producing through her Freckle Films banner alongside Kelly Carmichael and Kinberg. Theresa Rebeck.
Shooting will start in Paris in July and shooting will also take place in London and Morocco.
Jessica, 42, previously teased the new film will feature some “eye candy” for female viewers to enjoy much in the same way that the James Bond franchise has its iconic Bond girls.
When asked whether the film could have some hunky Bond boys, she said: “Oh yeah. We’ve got some eye candy. I’m going to allow the female audience to sit there and go, ‘Wow, isn’t he beautiful!’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Machine Gun Kelly has joined Judd Apatow’s latest comedy about Pete Davidson’s life.
The 29-year-old rapper and actor, whose real name is Colson Baker, is set to star in an unknown role in the untitled semi-autobiographical film revolving around the ‘Saturday Night Live’ comic, which is set for release on June 19, 2020.
The ‘Band Things’ hitmaker – who has starred in Netflix’s hit 2019 thriller ‘Bird Box’ and Motley Crue biopic ‘The Dirt’ – acted alongside Davidson in Jason Orley’s indie comedy ‘Big Time Adolescence’ which made its world premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
The film’s script has been penned by Apatow, Davidson and Dave Sirus and Apatow will produce the picture for his Apatow Productions alongside Barry Mendel.
Pete, 25, grew up in Staten Island, New York City, and lost his firefighter father in the September 11 Twin Towers terror attack, when he was just seven, and the comedian has previously admitted that the death of his parent has greatly influenced his stand-up routines – which he started at the age of 16.
Pete was also previously engaged to Larry David’s daughter, Cazzie David, 25, as well as pop superstar Ariana Grande, 25, who he popped the question to after just four weeks of dating.
The ‘Till I Die’ rapper joins the growing cast of Marisa Tomei, Bill Burr, Bel Powley, and Pamela Adlon.
Colson will also star alongside Maude Apatow – the daughter of director Judd and Leslie Mann – who will play Pete’s on-screen sister in the movie.
Maude has previously featured in her dad’s early films including ‘Knocked Up’, ‘Funny People’ and ‘This is 40’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Barry Jenkins is set to direct an Alvin Ailey biopic.
The 39-year-old filmmaker – who is best known for his work on critically acclaimed LGBT-themed independent drama ‘Moonlight’ in 2016 and Oscar-nominated 2018 film ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’ – has signed on to helm the upcoming film about the iconic choreographer for Fox Searchlight.
The project – which includes the rights to Jennifer Dunning’s biography ‘Alvin Ailey: A Life in Dance’ – was first announced in 2018 and will see Julian Breece pen the script while singer/songwriter Alicia Keys is producing.
The untitled project will chronicle Ailey life from his humble beginnings in rural Texas living with his single mother to performing with the Horton Dance Company and several Broadway shows, before founding the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in 1958, where he conceived ‘Revelations’ – one of the most-performed modern dance pieces in history.
A decade after founding Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Ailey founded the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, which aimed to provide access to arts and dance to under-resourced communities.
Despite keeping his own sexuality secret from the public, the choreographer often displayed male and female homosexuality in his works.
In 1988, a year before he died at the age of 58 from AIDS-related complications, Ailey was awarded the Kennedy Center Honors.
And, in 2014, President Barack Obama selected Ailey to be a posthumous recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Also producing is Susan Lewis from AK Worldwide Productions, Judy Kinberg, Rachel Cohen and Jana Edelbaum from iDeal Partners all of whom will team up with the dance company’s artistic director Robert Battle and artistic director emerita Judith Jamison.
Jenkins set to executive produce alongside Lewis and Edelbaum.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kem Cetinay thinks it’s “nice” that Love Island’s Anton Danyluk gets his mum to shave his bum.
The first episode of the ITV2 dating show’s fifth series, which aired on Monday (03.06.19), saw the 24-year-old gym owner pair up with 26-year-old Amy Hart to become the first couple in the villa, after she was the only girl who stepped forward for him.
When host Caroline Flack quizzed the other girls on why they didn’t fancy Anton, beauty therapist Amber Gill commented on his grooming routine.
She asked: “Do you shave your legs?”
He replied: “Yes.”
When Caroline asked if he shaves his whole body, he said: “My mum usually shaves my bum for me. That’s Amy’s job now.”
Anton’s confession was met with confusion from viewers online, and while former winner of the show Kem, 23, insists he would “never” ask his mum to do “anything like that”, he feels it’s sweet Anton has such a close bond with his mother.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, host Phillip Schofield said: “Now there’s a close relationship.”
Kem replied: “The weird thing is, someone’s gonna have to do it. The fact that his mum’s done it is I guess …”
Co-presenter Holly Willoughby interjected: “No, Kem you’ve got this wrong, that’s not what you say off the back of that, that’s not normal.”
Philip then asked: “What would your mum say?”
Kem replied: “I would never ask my mum to do anything like that, sorry mum, but it’s nice that they’ve got that type of relationship.”
This year’s series has already got off to a competitive start with last night’s two late arrivals Curtis Pritchard and Tommy Fury given the opportunity to nab a lovely lady from another lad’s arms in tonight’s (04.06.19) episode.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ricky Champ says Richard Graham will be involved in an “explosive storyline” when he joins ‘EastEnders’.
The ‘Titanic’ star will guest star in the BBC One soap later this year when he appears as Ricky’s alter-ego Stuart Highway’s dad, and the plot looks set to explore his and brother Callum ‘Halfway’ Highway’s (Tony Clay) “rough” upbringing.
He said: “Richard comes in and it’s an explosive little storyline. It illuminates a lot about Stuart and his brother Callum’s upbringing. It was rough.”
Stuart has recently become a reformed character after he found Bex Fowler (Jasmine Armfield) and brought her back to her parents Martin (James Bye) and Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) after she ran away from home.
It comes after he was responsible for lying about Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) shooting him, and after he terrorised Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White) during their younger years.
And Ricky admits his backstory will reveal all to fans about “why he is like he is”.
Speaking to RadioTimes.com, he added: “Stuart is truly repentant for what he did and very sorry, and now he’s made a few fans in the Square.
“He was ill when he did those bad things, and when someone is desperate they act desperately. It is a work in progress, but we will see a backstory in the coming week of why he is like he is.”
Ricky previously admitted some of the soap’s fans often tell him they “hate” him – but in the nicest possible way.
He said: “The vast majority of people, if they’re fans of the show, are really lovely. They shake your hand, have a photo and say how much they’re enjoying it. They’re like, ‘OMG, I hate you’, but it’s a nice ‘I hate you.’
“It’s been very interesting. I’ve tasted a bit of fame doing other TV shows, but nothing at all like this, nothing on the scale of this.”

OHMYGOSSIP — David Blaine has broken his silence over his infamously awkward interview with Eamonn Holmes 18 years ago – insisting he didn’t want to “bore” the presenter.
The US magician says he applied “less is more” tactics when he refused to speak during an appearance on ‘GMTV’, which Eamonn has previously described as one of his worst TV moments to date.
Discussing the exchange on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’ nearly two decades later, the 46-year-old star said: “I didn’t wanna bore him, so I figured less is more.
“Basically the last time I performed in London I was in a box for 44 days straight doing almost nothing other than breathing and writing a little bit, and drinking some water. That was the last time that I’ve performed here.”
‘This Morning’ broadcaster Eamonn has also spoken about the interview, and previously admitted he was “dying” on air as he tried to make something from David’s reserved responses.
He explained: “He just refused to talk and so I did all the talking and then he showed me the eye that he had drawn on his palm.
“I asked, ‘What’s that?’ and he said, ‘Protection,’ and I said, ‘Protection from what?’ and he said, ‘Death’.
“I thought, ‘Well, I’ll need that because I’m dying on my feet here.’ ”
However, a lot has changed for David over the years, and the magician has now revealed his eight-year-old daughter Dessa has already started to practice tricks of her own.
He added: “She’s amazing, because she’s actually really good at it, but I hope she does not start doing it because if she did any of the stuff I do I’d be sitting there like, if she bumps her knee on the table I start screaming.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Colin Thackery has been receiving a lot of female attention since he won ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ – and he is “not complaining”.
The Chelsea Pensioner – who moved the ‘BGT’ audience with a performance of Michael Ball’s ‘Love Changes Everything’ during the show’s final on Sunday (02.06.19) – insists he is not a “heart-throb” and has been inundated with photo requests since his talent show victory.
Colin told The Sun newspaper: “I don’t think I’m a heart-throb but I’m getting a lot of attention from the ladies. I’m not complaining mind you!
“As a Chelsea Pensioner you get used to having your picture taken.
“Every time we go out in our scarlet coats we get recognised.
“It’s just that now people want their picture taken with me for a different reason.
“But if I get drunk and fall out of a nightclub I’ll make sure no one sees me.”
Colin celebrated with his family after scooping the £250,000 ‘BGT’ prize and a place at ‘The Royal Variety Show’.
He said: “My celebration was very mild.
“I was told my family – there were nine of them there – were waiting in the dressing room.
“My sons had already bought a couple of bottles of wine so they were well ensconced.
“And my daughter surprised me as she’d had buttons made with my face on, and they had scarlet T-shirts with Colin’s Got Talent written on it.
“They’re all very proud and I know Joan [his late wife] would be too.”
The champion also humbly declared he would spend his winnings on his family and then make a donation to a new activity centre at Royal Hospital Chelsea, a retirement and nursing home for veterans of the British Army where he lives.
She said: “I will treat my family to a nice holiday or get something nice for them. And I want to make a donation to the new activity centre in the hospital.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tony Blackburn thinks ‘Coronation Street’ is “not good at the moment”.
The 76-year-old DJ believes the popular ITV soap – which has been running since the 1960s – could be improved by bringing in an influx of “older characters”.
Tony is quoted by The Daily Star newspaper as saying: “The show is going through a tetchy time. It is not too good at the moment. They should have more older characters.”
And the disc jockey is not the only celebrity who has blasted the soap for its dark storylines in recent months.
Paul O’Grady previously claimed he preferred ‘EastEnders’ to ‘Coronation Street’ because there is “too much death and destruction” on the ITV soap.
The 63-year-old TV presenter compared the show to war-torn Syria last year during a time when serial killer character Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) was running riot, bumping off Weatherfield residents.
He said: “It was about working class life in a little street, but now it’s like Syria.”
Paul also quipped ‘Corrie’ had become more like a Quentin Tarantino-like movie than a soap opera.
He previously said: “There’s too much death and destruction in ‘Corrie’. It’s gone a bit Tarantino.”
Similarly, Sir Michael Parkinson slammed ‘Coronation Street’ bosses for their violent and “gruesome” storylines last year, and he thought the show was better in the past when it was light entertainment.
The TV icon responded to scenes which saw villainous builder Pat orchestrate the murders of Andy Carver (Oliver Farnworth) and Vinny Ashford (Ian Kelsey).
The 84-year-old star previously said: “I never imagined I would recoil from watching ‘Coronation Street’, but the storyline of the kidnapping and torture of Andy and Vinny and their brutal murder by Pat Phelan had little to do with that gentle, funny reminder of life in the North Country I discovered and so admired in the early 1960s when I joined Granada Television.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Alec Baldwin thought ‘Beetlejuice’ would ruin his career.
The 61-year-old actor had “no idea” what Tim Burton’s cult 1988 comedy-horror “was about” and feared that the film would be so poorly received that he would struggle to be cast in new parts afterwards.
Speaking to GQ’s YouTube channel, he said: “When we did ‘Beetlejuice’ I had no idea what it was about. I thought my, all of our, careers are going to end with the release of this film. Maybe we’re all going to be dead.”
The film follows Alec’s Adam Maitland and his wife Barbara (Geena Davis) who die in a car accident and find themselves haunting their country residence, unable to leave the house.
When Charles and Delia Deetz (Catherine O’Hara and Jeffrey Jones) move in with their daughter Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder) the Maitlands attempt to scare them away without success and their efforts attract a spirit called Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), whose help quickly becomes dangerous for everyone involved.
Baldwin explained that although he was dubious about the role, it was Keaton as the titular character that convinced him of the movie’s potential success.
He said: “Michael came and knew the secret. Because I would act and then I would have some doubts. I was much more neurotic about what I would do, and I was very young starting out in films. And Keaton just came out and he was like the comedy Annie Oakley. He was so self-assured. He just tore it up.”
The ’30 Rock’ star went on to compare Burton to a “crazy professor” but hailed his directing technique.
He said: “Tim was looking down at a piece of paper and maybe this is the only direction Tim gave me the whole entire movie. He would look up and go, ‘No. Don’t do that.’ And then go back to the paper and draw.
“When you’re around Tim, he was just such a crazy professor. That’s one of the earliest movies I made, and you see everything that’s brought to bear in making movies in a movie like that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Diana Silvers thought she “bombed” her audition for ‘Ma’.
The 21-year-old actress feared she’d blown the chance of a role in Tate Taylor’s psychological horror when she read for her part without knowing all of her lines, however, Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer – who plays the film’s titular role – was the person who pushed for her to be cast as Maggie Thompson.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, she said: “Truthfully, I didn’t think I was going to get the part, there were three scenes I was supposed to prepare. I only thought there were two, so I had to cold read the third scene. I thought I bombed the audition. Octavia was just so encouraging, and she really wanted me to be Maggie.
The ‘Booksmart’ star’s alter ego Maggie is a teenage girl who befriends a lonely middle-aged woman who calls herself Ma and starts partying in her basement with her friends, however, when Ma’s hospitality soon starts to curdle into obsession, she begins meddling in the teenagers’ lives with murderous consequences.
Diana went on to explain that although she has experience in front of the camera thanks to her modelling career, she was “nervous” about exploring the Blumhouse film on an “intellectual, emotional and physical level”.
She said: Obviously, modelling and acting are very different. With acting, there’s just so much more to explore on an intellectual, emotional and physical level, especially with Ma.
“I was nervous, and I was just trying my best to be present and learn as much as I could from Tate, Juliette (Lewis) and Octavia.
“I’m definitely grateful that I’ve been able to work with a company that has given me a solid start to my career, a company I hope to work with again in the future, maybe even as the director or writer.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlie Hardwick “misses” her ‘Emmerdale’ co-stars.
The 58-year-old actress portrayed Val Pollard on the ITV soap from 2004 to 2015, and while she enjoyed her time on the show she felt the need to depart the Dales after spending more time as her character than her own self.
She said: “I miss my old comrades but we keep in touch. It was great working in West Yorkshire again because I got to hang out with some of them.
“I loved playing Val but I was spending more time as her than me! So after 12 years, I felt it was time to explore new creative avenues. And look what came my way.”
Charlie – who made an ‘Emmerdale’ return as a ghost in 2017 – will star as food technology teacher Sue Carp in the new series of school drama ‘Ackley Bridge’ later this year, and the star was pleased to see a familiar face as part of the crew.
She added: “I’d never worked with any of the actors before but I knew the make-up designer Lisa very well as we’d worked with each other on ‘Emmerdale’ for years.
“Being made up by an old friend was a lovely start to my first day.”
Charlie couldn’t wait to portray her character upon discovering she is a “professional nightmare”.
She said: “The scenes I was sent for the audition captured my imagination instantly. They were brilliantly written, very near the knuckle but very funny.
“I thought this woman is a nightmare, let me at her.
“She’s not exactly the model professional, is she? No, she’s a loose cannon and a professional nightmare.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Asan N’Jie couldn’t be a passenger in a car for three years after he was in a car crash.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actor’s character Ellis Chapman will suffer panic attacks next week as part of post-traumatic stress disorder after he was stabbed, and the former ‘Mount Pleasant’ star can partly relate to his alter-ego’s predicament because he suffered after being in a car smash six years ago.
He said: “It’s been really interesting [to film], because obviously there are people in the world who are suffering from this.
“I can sort of relate to it in a way because five or six years ago I was in a car crash, luckily everything was fine, and the car actually flipped over. I was in the passenger seat.
“And ever since that, now I’m not too bad, but two or three years after that I wouldn’t dare get in the passenger seat with someone.
“I’d just get really stressed. It was that feeling of not feeling like you’re in control.
“So I can sort of relate to people who have had a big event happen to them and how they deal with it in the future.”
Asan is hopeful others who suffer from panic attacks will be able to open up about their plight more after watching Ellis’ situation in ‘Emmerdale’.
He said: “It’s honestly not as easy as people think [to get over]. People might think panic attacks are not as bad as people make out but they really are and it’s a serious thing.
“If we do touch on things like this then it’s going to bring light to more people and they’ll be able to come out and speak about it more.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Pratt “cried” when ‘Onward’ was pitched to him.
The 39-year-old actor has always loved Pixar movies, and he’s revealed his excitement at landing a role in their upcoming animated feature film while admitting he got very emotional when the idea was first presented.
Writing on Instagram alongside the first trailer, he said: “So incredibly proud of this one!
“In true Pixar fashion, ‘Onward’ simultaneously moves and tickles. I cried when I first heard the pitch. It’s so funny and imaginative. Been a fan of Pixar forever. Now I’m in one of their films!”
The movie – which is set to hit the big screen in March 2020 – sees Pratt and Tom Holland voicing two teenage elf brothers who head out on a journey to find out if magic still exists.
It has been directed by Dean Scanlon, who previously described the film as a “mix of the fantastic and the everyday” with “elves, sprites and pretty much anything that would be on the side of a van in the ’70s”.
He added: “At Pixar we try to create stories that come from some kind of personal truth. This film was inspired by my own relationship with my brother.”
Meanwhile, producer Kori Rae promised Pratt will bring “equal parts huge heart and fantastic humour to his character”.
He also teased that Holland “has an infectious charm and sincerity that makes you root for him in every character he plays”.
Pixar’s next release will be ‘Toy Story 4′, which drops next month, and after fans spotted Keanu Reeves’ character Duke Caboom first appeared in ‘Incredibles 2’, producer Jonas Rivera has teased an Easter egg for the fourth and final movie in the hugely popular franchise.
He said: ”
Duke Caboom was in Jack-Jack’s crib in ‘Incredibles 2’ and, yes, I won’t spoil it, but you’ll see a little nugget of ‘Onward’ somewhere hidden in ‘Toy Story 4’. It’s really fun.”

OHMYGOSSIP — David Furnish was “terrified” watching his husband Sir Elton John’s biopic ‘Rocketman’.
The couple sat down to watch the finished movie together and David – who produced the film, which stars Taron Egerton as Elton – admits it was an “awesome responsibility” making the movie.
He said: “I was terrified – it was an awesome responsibility. When I sat next to him … it was without question the most anxious [moment] of my life.”
And Furnish has revealed Elton was “so profoundly moved” by the movie that he thought for a moment that they shouldn’t have made it.
Speaking about the first viewing at Cannes Film Festival, Furnish told the New York Post’s Page Six column: “He was so profoundly moved emotionally, I thought maybe we should not have done it … He was sobbing, he was wailing … There was no reading in between the lines – it poured out of him.”
Meanwhile, the movie’s star Egerton previously revealed Elton keeps sending him ‘Rocketman’ reviews and he can’t resist emailing them over to him “every day”.
Asked if he looks at the reviews for his movies, Taron said: “So I try to avoid reviews, but Elton sends me them every day. Every day. I mean he’s sort of vetting my reviews, I’m sure there are bad ones that he’s not sending, but yeah. He emails them to me. It’s the same title every time, ‘And another one.'”
Egerton lived with Elton for a while to research the star before the film was made.
Speaking of the experience, he said: “I spent a fair bit of time with him before we started shooting. He didn’t come on set, thank God, I’d have found that really hard. But I went and stayed with him before we started shooting and he let me read his diaries and I hung out with him and got to ask him thing … which certainly protects me a bit.
“He lends a bit of an air of authenticity and it gives this a bit of a seal of approval really, which is great. I still speak to him once or twice a week now. He’s very in my life. It’s nice … and a bit f***ing surreal!”
