Alison Hammond’s Hollyoaks nerves

OHMYGOSSIP — Alison Hammond found ‘Hollyoaks’ a lot more “nerve-wracking” than filming live TV.
The roving reporter often shoots live segments on brunch-time show ‘This Morning’, but she found acting alongside “really good” actors on the Channel 4 soap a lot more daunting.
When asked what is more “nerve-wracking”, she replied: “‘Hollyoaks’, every time.
“Working with other actors and new people who are really good is nerve wracking.”
Alison will make a cameo on the soap as herself when she rocks up at the village to present Nikki Sanderson’s character Maxine Minniver with a £5,000 cheque, raised by members of the public on a crowd funding page, after Maxine rang up ‘This Morning’ and claimed she is terminally ill.
And while she was a bit nervous, Alison had such a good time on set with Nikki, Jacob Roberts (Damon Kinsella) and Niamh Blackshaw (Juliet Quinn).
She said: “They put me so at ease and made me feel really comfortable. We were laughing the whole time, we were like naughty school children.
“I enjoyed actually getting down and doing my scenes. I loved working with a big crew and working alongside Nikki and Jacob – it’s been a treat.”
The former ‘Big Brother’ star is no stranger to soap acting, having had a few stints in BBC daytime show ‘Doctors’, and admits she records her lines on her phone to try to learn them.
She said: “The only way I can learn lines is if I record it on my phone and then play it back to myself – I play it before I go to sleep and by the morning it’s basically in there.”

“I have the utmost respect for the man, despite the fact he holds different views.
“Aidy taught me a lot. I am over the moon with ‘Line of Duty’ – it was brilliant.
“Aidy has been working his ass off for 40 years and has never had the recognition he deserves.
“Aidy’s famous now and I’m dead chuffed for him – I think it’s brilliant. He’s probably not bothered, but I’m dead pleased for him.”

Peter Dinklage in negotiations for thriller I Care A Lot

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Dinklage is in talks to star in ‘I Care A Lot’.
Fresh from finishing the eighth series of ‘Game of Thrones’, the 49-year-old star looks set to sign up to the thriller movie, which would see him appear alongside Rosamund Pike.
According to Variety, Dinklage’s potential role is being kept under wraps for now, but Pike will portray a successful legal guardian called Marla Grayson.
The character cherry picks what appears to be her ideal client, but soon comes to the conclusion that looks can be deceiving.
J Blakeson will direct the movie and has written the script for the project, which is due to begin filming later this month.
Blakeson’s Sugar November will produce the motion picture, as will the director himself, alongside Teddy Schwarzman’s Black Bear, and Sacha Guttenstein will executive produce the film.
Speaking in March, Schwarzman said: “Black Bear is thrilled to partner with J and Rosamund to bring ‘I Care A Lot’ to life.
“J has written one of the boldest and most entertaining scripts we’ve ever read, and we have been a fan of J’s work ever since seeing ‘The Disappearance Of Alice Creed’.
“We can think of no one better to play I Care A Lot’s fierce, intelligent and unrelenting lead than Rosamund Pike, who deserves all the accolades she’s received to date and more.
“We can’t wait to see Rosamund do something truly memorable with this iconic role.”
Dinklage’s appearance will be his first major movie role since he wrapped on ‘Game of Thrones’, on which he earned three Emmys for his portrayal of Tyrion Lannister.
He recently lent his vocal talents to the role of Mighty Eagle in ‘The Angry Birds Movie 2’, and appeared as Eitri in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ last year.

Sienna Miller enjoyed ‘complete process’ in American Woman

OHMYGOSSIP — Sienna Miller’s role in ‘American Woman’ is the first time she felt she fully “explored” her character.
The 37-year-old actress portrays Deb Callahan, a single parent who is left to raise her grandson after her teenage daughter disappears without explanation, and she relished getting to depict the “complete process” of her alter ego’s journey.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “It’s certainly been missing for me, but to begin as one woman and end as another, to be able to explore that, we see that with men all the time in films. It’s the first time I really felt it was a complete process.”
Director Jake Scott added: “A lot of the things we were working with was the idea of how a person, in this case, a woman, conforms with ideas about who she has to be to a man. In fact, she gradually dismantles that and sheds that and becomes her true self.
“That’s what it was about: a journey into your own truth. It takes courage. She has to almost stand against her family at times.”
Although Sienna – who has six-year-old Marlowe with former partner Tom Sturridge – is a “different kind of parent” to Deb, she empathised with her and embraced her character because of her flaws.
She said: “We’re different kind of parents, but I can understand what motherhood is. As a parent, I think you imagine what that must be like when you read about people who lose their children.
“It’s devastating and crushing and so the grief aspect is very near to any parent, but she’s not like me, and I loved her because she’s flawed and sort of messy and trying, and I love the resilience of this woman.”
To research her part in the drama, the British actress spoke with families who have lost loved ones.
She recalled: “I remember speaking to someone and hearing their story, and I said, ‘I just cannot imagine what that would be like,’ and he said, ‘You can and you have.’
“It was this very succinct, very generous and grounded thing to say, and I knew exactly what he meant.”

Hollyoaks’ Nikki Sanderson wants regular role for Jack Reynolds

OHMYGOSSIP — Nikki Sanderson would love Jack Reynolds to become a regular ‘Hollyoaks’ cast member.
The 35-year-old star says the 107-year-old record breaker – who became the world’s oldest soap actor after landing a cameo in the Channel 4 soap – would be “more than welcome” to return to the fictional village to film further scenes, and admits he is an “inspirational man”.
She said: “I think that it’s brilliant at 107 years old what that man is doing. If he wants to join us more often then he’s more than welcome.
“It was absolutely amazing and an honour to meet him.
“To meet someone like himself who is the good old age of 107, to hear what’s he’s been doing with all the world records he’s been breaking. He’s such an inspirational and wonderful man.”
Jack’s cameo on the soap will see him comforting Nikki’s alter-ego Maxine Minniver outside a hospital.
She explained: “Maxine is stood outside the hospital crying and Jack comes past her and sees her crying.
“He offers her some wise words of wisdom from someone who has lived a very long plentiful life.”
Nikki’s comments come after her co-star Jacob Roberts (Damon Kinsella) praised Jack as “brave” for appearing on the show.
He added: “Jack is 107 years old, and it’s a really difficult thing to come in and learn lines for anybody and the fact that he’s done it is so brave and great for him.”
Jack – who is raising money for Alzheimer’s Dementia Support with his soaps challenge – has broken several records since turning 100.
He became the oldest person to ride a zip wire above a 1,312ft-long drop after turning 106, was the oldest person to ride a rollercoaster in 2017 aged 105, and he became the oldest person to get a tattoo aged 104.

Jessie J’s emotional The Voice Kids role

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessie J went through a “whole stack of tissues” filming ‘The Voice Kids’.
The former ‘The Voice’ coach has joined the spin-off series as the ITV show’s first-ever fourth coach, but admitted she got emotional on the singing competition and was “nervous” about the judges not turning their chairs around for the young wannabes, which signals they want them on their team.
She said: “I went through a whole stack of tissues. Even watching it back I cried, but it’s really been great.
“That was the biggest thing I was nervous about [when none of the coaches turn around for a contestant].
“I was like, ‘Pixie, please tell me how do I …’ ”
Jessie – who was a coach on the first two series of ‘The Voice UK’ from 2012 to 2013 – asked fellow coach Pixie Lott for advice about what to do when none of the panellists span their chairs around for a hopeful, but even if a wannabe wasn’t selected she tried to ensure it wasn’t a “huge negative moment” for them.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’, she added: “When it happened I was like, ‘Please someone turn.’ You have to keep your energy up because you don’t want them to think it’s this huge negative moment, it’s actually a really important moment for them.
“I always try to give constructive criticism and give them something to go away and learn with.”
‘The Voice Kids’ returns for its third series at 8pm on Saturday (08.06.19) on ITV, with will.i.am and Danny Jones also making up the coaching panel.

Denise van Outen: Golf has helped with anxiety

OHMYGOSSIP — Denise van Outen says golf has “really helped” her deal with perimenopausal anxiety.
The 45-year-old actress believes the sport can be a great activity to help how women of a certain age “feel mentally”, after admitting she suffered from “hormone-related” anxiety last year as a result of being perimenopausal – when a woman’s ovaries make less oestrogen several years before menopause – and she found golf has “calmed” her.
She said: “I absolutely love it. It’s a good way to keep fit. It’s also really good for, for women of certain age, how you feel mentally as well.
“You need something to focus on, it gets you moving.
“I had a little spate last year of suffering a little bit with anxiety, which was hormone-related. I felt golf really helped me.
“It calmed me a little bit. It gives you a bit of confidence as well.”
The former ‘Big Breakfast’ presenter now has a natural hormone replacement after her doctor told her to take a hormone test last year.
She said: “I went to get checked [for a hormone test], and then everything just made sense. When I sat there and I got the results I sat in the chair and I cried. I was like, ‘I’m not going crazy.’
“It came out of the blue for me, because I’m perimenopausal. I have natural hormone replacement.
“I feel so much better. I’m trying to approach a healthier lifestyle. I’m exercising a lot more, and not too much alcohol.”
Denise has been rolling back the years by hanging out with her old showbiz pals, such as Boyzone, on the golf course – rather than “falling out of nightclubs” in the early hours.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, she added: “I call it clubbing for the middle-aged.
“All my friends who I’ve known from meeting in the industry over the years, like all the Boyzone lot, they all play golf, and a lot of the rugby players and footballers.
“We used to be falling out of clubs at like three or four in the morning.
“Now, we’re all in the 19th hole, in the bar after playing a round of golf. It’s daytime socialising.”

Faye Brooks confirms ‘positive’ Corrie exit in September

OHMYGOSSIP — Faye Brookes has promised a happy ending when she leaves ‘Coronation Street’ in September.
The soap star- who has played Kate Connor on the cobbles since 2015 – has confirmed when her exit will be, and said her character will get a break from “grief and sadness” for her final storyline.
She told The Sun Online: “I’m really grateful for the ending ‘Corrie’ have given me because it’s a positive one rather than grief and sadness, which Kate’s felt a lot of.”
Kate’s fiancee Rana Habeeb (Bhavna Limbachia) was killed on their wedding day moments after they exchanged their vows while she lay dying on the factory floor, so viewers will be glad to hear she will be happy before she leaves.
Asked if she was keeping any secrets about her farewell, the 31-year-old actress said: “Only my ending, but it’s not on until September time so stay tuned.”
Faye is glad the door is open for a ‘Corrie’ comeback one day, but hinted she would like to return to the world of musical theatre.
She added: “I’m really grateful to ‘Corrie’ for leaving it open ended because it means I could come back, but I might go on to do more television. Who knows if I could go back to my old roots of theatre?”
Faye first announced her exit in April, as she explained her character “needs a break for a little while”.
She tweeted at the time: “Thanks to everyone for your amazing support, but after 4 fabulous years in Weatherfield it’s time for me to explore new opportunities, I’ve loved playing Kate Connor, but she needs a break for a little while and so with a song in my heart I’m off to pastures new. #kana #corrie (sic)”

Bill Skarsgard set for Gilded Rage

OHMYGOSSIP — Bill Skarsgard is reportedly set to star in ‘Gilded Rage’.
The ‘It’ actor is said to be attached to the true crime drama, which will be written and directed by filmmaker Charlie McDowell, with Jake Gyllenhaal and Riva Marker serving as producers through their Nine Stories banner.
According to Variety, Skarsgard will play the son of investment banker Thomas Gilbert Sr. in a film based on Benjamin Wallace’s Vanity Fair article about his infamous murder.
Thomas Jr. was arrested – after his father’s death was originally believed to be a suicide before an investigation proved that to be untrue – and is still awaiting trial.
Although Gilbert originally pleaded not guilt to second-degree murder, he has since resisted any subsequent plea deals, and his mother is still paying for his defence.
Meanwhile, Skarsgard will reprise his breakthrough role as Pennywise the Clown in upcoming sequel ‘It – Chapter Two’.
James McAvoy – who also stars alongside the likes of Jessica Chastain, Jay Ryan and Bill Hader in the upcoming horror film – has admitted to being a little bit unnerved by the sight of the leading man when he was wearing his creepy costume.
He previously said: “He’s amazing. The guy who plays the clown is terrifying. He’s a lovely guy, and yet he really freaked me out.
“I remember standing there with the rest of the cast, all these adults, and we’d all done weird freaky stuff. And we are all looking at each other going, ‘I don’t like being here. I don’t like being an actor today.’ He really did, he really freaked me out. I never liked clowns as a kid.”

Kevin Hart reveals Snowball just needed to feel ‘wanted’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Hart says his ‘Secret Life of Pets 2’ character becomes a hero after feeling “wanted”.
The 39-year-old actor voices bad bunny-turned- superhero Captain Snowball in the animated comedy sequel, and he has opened up about how his alter ego turns his back on his villainous ways.
He told CinemaBlend: “In this one, I find love, and what I mean by finding love [is] the villain was the villain because nobody wanted him.
“Once he was given the opportunity to be wanted, and he got to feel what a family felt like again, he knew that’s what he’s been missing.
“Hugs and moments to share. That’s what he’s been missing, which is just like anybody in real life.”
He said it’s a far cry from where Snowball was in the first film back in 2016, when Hart had to voice a very different character.
He explained: “The beauty of it is processing the story. I was a villain, so as a villain, you’ve got an edge to you. You’ve got a gear that you’re always in, because you’re a bad guy.
“You’re the leader. And as the bad guy and as the leader, it’s my job to make sure that everybody understands what I’m saying, but I’m also insecure.
“So if I say stuff, I’m like ‘Does that make sense? Did everybody get it? Are we all on the same page?’ ”
Meanwhile, Hart – alongside co-stars Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Karen Gillan and Jack Black – will also be starring in a highly anticipated sequel to ‘Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle’.
The 2017 movie itself was a sequel to Robin Williams’ original 1995 classic, and director Jake Kasdan has previously admitted part of the challenge of creating ‘Jumanji 3’ would be figuring out where to take the story in order to make it special.
He said: “Part of the challenge of figuring out how [the emotional centre of the film] continues is to keep that alive in ways that feel earned … like a true kind of continuation in this story.”
In addition to Kasdan returning to direct, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ screenwriters Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner are also on board to pen the screenplay for the third movie.

Cerith Flinn joins Hollyoaks

OHMYGOSSIP — Cerith Flinn has joined ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 32-year-old actor will take on the role of Dr Levi Rochester, who will arrive in the village next week after hearing about Maxine Minniver’s (Nikki Sanderson) mystery illness, as a result of her faking symptoms to try to keep the love and attention of her fiance Damon Kinsella (Jacob Roberts).
Cerith said: “Working on ‘Hollyoaks’ has been a blast so far, it’s one of the nicest sets I’ve worked on, and cast and crew are like one big family.”
While Levi sets out to diagnose what exactly is wrong with Maxine, he isn’t expecting to catch the attention of anyone in the village, but ends up striking up a strong connection with Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams).
He added: “Working with Ross Adams who plays Scott has been great fun and an absolute pleasure, he’s a pure gentleman.”
Soap super-fans may recognise Cerith from his time in ‘EastEnders’ in the role as Walford High School teacher Gethin Pryce.
He made 36 appearances in the BBC One soap from January 2017 to November 2017, and his main storyline saw him inappropriately kissing Bex Fowler (Jasmine Armfield).
But Cerith isn’t the only star to have swapped between the two soaps.
Danniella Westbrook previously played Sam Mitchell in ‘EastEnders’ in the 90s, but she later joined ‘Hollyoaks’ as Trudy Ryan in 2013.
Gillian Taylforth also swapped Albert Square for the Hollyoaks village when she played Kathy Beale from 1985 to 2000, only to star in ‘Oaks’ as Sandy Roscoe from 2013 until 2015.
She is now back in Walford, where she stars alongside Rukku Nahar, who plays Habiba Ahmed.
Rukku joined the soap in 2019 after portraying Asha Kaur in ‘Hollyoaks’, and she previously appeared in teen drama ‘Wolfblood’, as did Cerith.

Michelle Visage set to sign up for Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ star Michelle Visage is being lined up to compete on the next series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 50-year-old former singer has a massive fan base in the LGBTQ community due to her eight-year stint on the judging panel of the drag queen competition and BBC bosses hope that by getting her on the ballroom she will bring those fans’ eyes to ‘Strictly’.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “This is a very strategic signing from the BBC as Michelle has a huge following, especially in the gay community.”
Michelle is also known for her no-holds-barred comments on ‘Drag Race’ and it is hoped she will provide some great TV moments by firing back at any judges who criticise her steps on the show.
The source added: “Since she is known as the fiery judge on ‘Drag Race’ producers are pre-empting her clapping back at any of the harsh comments from the ‘Strictly’ panel which will make great TV.”
Michelle has also been building a TV career in the UK and Ireland in the last few years and appeared on the 2015 series of reality show ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ and also sat on the judging panel of ‘Ireland’s Got Talent’.
Last year, Michelle – whose real name is Michelle Lynn Shupack – made her West End debut in musical ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’.
If Michelle signs on the dotted line for ‘Strictly’ she will join other rumoured contestants Tamara Eccleston, Olympic gold medal winning rower James Cracknell and Virgin Radio DJ Chris Evans.
Comedian Alan Carr and Welsh newsreader Huw Edwards have also reportedly been approached by the BBC for this year’s series.

Emmerdale’s Asan N’Jie grateful to Isabel Hodgins

OHMYGOSSIP — Asan N’Jie is “grateful” to Isabel Hodgins for taking him “under her wing” on ‘Emmerdale’.
The former ‘Mount Pleasant’ star – who portrays Ellis Chapman on the ITV soap – loves starring opposite the 25-year-old actress, who plays Victoria Barton, because she is very caring and has taught him “how to be a true professional”.
Asan said: “She’s amazing. She took me under her wing. She taught me how to be a true professional.
“I am grateful for having an actress like that around me. She’s kept me in line and kept the reins on me.”
Victoria recently discovered she was pregnant after being raped on a night out, and Asan says his character will be “shocked” to learn the news.
He said: “That’s a huge shock for him. Obviously he used to be with Vic, I feel like Ellis would react differently to the others. Even though the others would be angry and hurt and sympathise with her.
“I think Ellis was made to see it from a different light because he’s actually been with her. He doesn’t know what to feel about. I think it’s really rattled his brain.
“But I think at the end of the day, I think it’s not about him it’s about his concerns and Victoria and he just wants to do whatever he can to be there and support her through that time.”
Asan thinks Ellis would want him and Victoria to reconcile following the ordeal, but his alter-ego is also going through a tough time after being stabbed on the same night.
When asked if he thinks Ellis would want him and Victoria to be together, Asan said: “I think he would. He wants to be there for Victoria but major things have happened in his life too.
“He’s finding it hard to balance the two and figure what’s going on his head and Victoria’s.
“I think he’s on a bit seesaw at the moment his emotions are everywhere. He doesn’t really know what the future is going to hold at the minute.”

Seth Rogen and Will Ferrell team up with Kay Cannon for 79ers

OHMYGOSSIP — Seth Rogen and Will Ferrell are teaming up with Kay Cannon for ’79ers’.
The ‘Blockers’ filmmaker – who made her directorial debut with last year’s hilarious comedy – will be at the helm forthe upcoming film, which is set to be produced by the two stars under their respective Point Grey and Gary Sanchez banners.
Liongate’s Nathan Kahane said: “Kay is wonderful at capturing characters in situational conflict and is the perfect choice for this re-engineered coming-of-age comedy.
“I hope when we are finished with this film it feels like ‘Goonies’ for adults.”
Although the full production credits are yet to be officially confirmed, the studio did announce that Dylan Meyer will be working on the screenplay based on a script originally written by Ben Schwartz.
Kahane – who worked with both Cannon and Rogen on ‘Blockers’ – added that he immediately fell in love with the script.
He added: “I have loved this script ever since I first read it.
“It has such great roles for a group of actors, as our estranged friends have the wisdom and life experience of 30 year-olds, but the baggage of their teen years that they have to overcome as they reunite for a legendary treasure hunt that has eluded them for decades.”
It’s not known if Ferrell’s former production partner Adam McKay will be involved in the project after the two – who worked together for more than a decade on films such as ‘Vice’, ‘Step Brothers’, ‘Talladega Nights’ and the ‘Anchorman’ and ‘Daddy’s Home’ franchises – went their separate ways earlier this year.
In a joint statement at the time, the pair said: “The last 13 years could not have been more enjoyable and satisfying for the two of us at Sanchez Productions. We give massive thanks to our incredible staff and executives and all the writers, directors and actors we worked with through the years.
“The two of us will always work together creatively and always be friends. And we recognize we are lucky as hell to end this venture as such.”
The announcement states that Gary Sanchez Productions – as well as its sister company Gloria Sanchez, which was set up in 2014 by Jessica Elbaum and focuses on female voices in comedy – will continue with all existing projects through completion and that all current projects will continue to be developed by the attached producers.

Margot Robbie: Birds of Prey is ‘less male gaze-y’

OHMYGOSSIP — Margot Robbie wants ‘Birds of Prey’ to be “less male gaze-y”.
The 28-year-old actress – who is set to reprise her ‘Suicide Squad’ role as Harley Quinn in the DC Extended Universe spin off – agreed with costume designer Erin Benach that having a team of women working on the film meant the emphasis had shifted in a positive way.
Referring to her costumes for the movie, she told Vogue: “Yeah, it’s definitely less male gaze-y.”
Robbie is also acting as producer via her LuckyChap company, and while the $75 million budget – although smaller by DC’s standards – is her highest to date, she isn’t feeling the pressure ahead of next year’s release.
She said: “Well, we’re on schedule and on budget, which is a wonderful place to be.”
‘Birds of Prey’ was penned by Christina Hodson with filmmaker Cathy Yan at the helm.
It will be the first movie in the DCEU with an R-rated certificate, and Robbie hopes the rating will help dismiss any preconceptions people might have.
She added: “I think there’s a perception that a PG female-led action film is kind of considered a chick flick.”
Although the flick takes place in superhero Batman’s hometown of Gotham City, the caped crusader won’t be making an appearance, and the cast will instead be made up of Margot, alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, and Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain.
The movie is also set to be different from the ‘Birds of Prey’ comic series, which saw Barbara Gordon team up with Huntress and Black Canary as crimefighters in Gotham City.
Instead, according to a rumoured synopsis, the DCEU version will see the titular gang be put together by Harley herself, after she splits up with the Joker and needs help saving the life of a young girl, Cassandra Cain, from an evil crime lord.
‘Birds Of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)’ is due to hit cinemas on 7 February 2020.

David Blaine and Eamonn Holmes reunited 18 years after awkward interview

OHMYGOSSIP — David Blaine wanted to capture the green room’s attention with his infamously awkward interview with Eamonn Holmes.
The American magician was reunited with the TV presenter 18 years after he appeared on ‘GMTV’ and refused to speak during what Eamonn has described as one of his worst TV moments to date.
Instead, David chose to show Eamonn the eye he had drawn on his palm which he told the Northern Irish broadcaster was for “protection”.
Opening up about the memorable interview on ITV’s ‘This Morning’, David revealed he got the idea for the stunt because of a noisy green room where none of the friends and family were paying attention to the guests’ interviews.
He told Eamonn: “Nobody was watching their friends go on, so I was like ‘I’m going to make sure that they will stop and look’.
“So I was thinking a card trick would be too boring, it’s not gonna stop the people in the green room from chatting. So I last minute came up with that idea, so I did the whole thing, which i thought was funny myself.”
Although the presenter wasn’t amused at the time, David said he quickly realised he’d done the right thing when he left the studio.
He added: “I just took the mic off and went, and when I walked past the green room I looked over into the room and every person in the room was [open mouthed] like they had seen the craziest thing.”
Eamonn has spoken about the interview in the past, and previously admitted he was “dying” on air as he tried to make something from David’s reserved responses.
He explained: “He just refused to talk and so I did all the talking and then he showed me the eye that he had drawn on his palm.
“I asked, ‘What’s that?’ and he said, ‘Protection,’ and I said, ‘Protection from what?’ and he said, ‘Death.’ I thought, ‘Well, I’ll need that because I’m dying on my feet here.’ ”
