Love Island’s Curtis Pritchard to ask Amy Hart to be ‘half-girlfriend’

OHMYGOSSIP — Curtis Pritchard will ask Amy Hart to be his “half-girlfriend” in tonight’s (11.06.19) ‘Love Island’.
The 23-year-old dancer – who is the brother of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star AJ Pritchard – wants to take his and Amy’s coupling to the next level, and pops the question when the pair are chosen to spend the night together in the Hideaway by the other Islanders.
Prior to heading to the secret room, Amy says to the girls in the Beach Hut: “It’s day nine and the sexy PJs are out to go to the Hideaway with Curtis. I’m just really excited. I didn’t think it would happen this early.”
After arriving at the room, Curtis and his love-interest get into the hot tub together and talk about exclusivity within their blossoming relationship.
Curtis says: “We’re very close and very good together at the moment and I definitely don’t want to see anyone else.
“I know that no-one is going to walk through the door and turn my head at all. I’m not asking you to be in a relationship but I just want to lock it off.”
Amy replies: “So, we’re not going to get to know anyone else? I think it’s too soon to do the whole boyfriend and girlfriend thing but we’re 100 per cent exclusive.”
Curtis asks: “Will you be my half-girlfriend?”
Amy happily adds: “I will be your half-girlfriend. But we will not call it half-girlfriend.
“We’ll refer to each other as other-halves until one day we’ll potentially use the ‘B’ and ‘G’ words.”
Curtis says: “Just so you know, I am planning on doing that.”
After the loved-up exchange, the pair share a steamy smooch and return to the villa the next day to fill the other Islanders in on their new relationship status.
‘Love Island’ airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2.

Malia Arkian is pregnant

OHMYGOSSIP — Former ‘Love Island’ star Malia Arkian is pregnant.
The controversial contestant – who was famously thrown out of the villa just hours after she went in over a fight with Kady McDermott in 2016 – is five months pregnant with a baby girl.
And that isn’t Malia’s only happy news as she also revealed she is set to wed Bradford City footballer Hope Akpan.
The singer returned to the public eye earlier this week after her on-screen rival again brought up their fight, claiming Malia “punched” her in the face following their argument over spilled wine.
Kady shared a short clip of their row, in which Malia branded her a “f***ing bitch”.
In response, Kady shouted: “I swear to God, if you want to get rowdy…that’s a f***ing joke. Do you honestly think I’d waste my wine over you? It was a f***ing accident.”
Kady then tweeted: “She punched me in the nose after and gave me a nose bleed but they didn’t show it as too graphic.”
In response Malia has slammed the claims and branded Kady a “compulsive liar” as she insisted she never punched her.
She told MailOnline: “She’s sat thinking how to make a living, I never punched her she’s a compulsive liar. She needs professional help.”
At the time of the row on the second series of the show, a spokesperson simply said an “altercation” had taken place.
The representative announced at the time: “Following an altercation last night, one of the contestants on Love Island, Malia, has been taken out of the villa.”

Wes Nelson believes Sherif Lanre left Love Island for fighting with producers

OHMYGOSSIP — Former ‘Love Island’ contestant Wes Nelson believes Sherif Lanre was removed from the villa for “fighting or arguing with the producers” or “getting aggressive”.
The hunky TV personality appeared on the 2018 series of the ITV dating reality show and got to the final as part of a couple with Megan Barton-Hanson, whom he has now split from, and he has his own theory as to why Sherif was kicked out this week.
Wes insists the rules about aggressive behaviour and fighting are very strict and he thinks Sherif must have acted up to be taken off the show for good.
Speaking on Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden, he said: “I don’t know why he’s left, but my best guess would be fighting or arguing with the producers and getting aggressive. That’s zero tolerance. If you get aggressive or try to be intimidating or get in someone’s face, that’s zero tolerance.”
Wes admits there are other rules he may have broken which could lead to his expulsion but he thinks it’s unlikely he would have been ejected for anything else.
In a separate interview on the Capital Breakfast show with Roman Kemp, Vick Hope and Sonny Jay, he said: “You are briefed when you go in, there is quite a few rules. You can’t talk about previous Islanders or any scenarios that have ever happened before in previous series. So they wouldn’t be able to use DBS … You can’t mention anything that’s going on on the outside when you walk in … You obviously can’t fight, you can’t be aggressive before Islanders or producers. I personally think that’s what it is. It’s all up in the air at the moment but I’m sure we’ll get the tea when it spills. I’ll be after that. I’ll be hunting!”
In the wake of his expulsion from the ITV2 show Sherif released a statement admitting he “regrets” his actions which led to him leaving ‘Love Island’.
He said: “In a case of poor judgement, I broke the villa rules and as a result agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa.
“I regret that I didn’t conduct myself in the right way and, as a 20-year-old guy, it’s something I know I will take on board and learn from.”

Ed Sheeran’s wife set for Yesterday cameo

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran’s wife will reportedly appear with him in ‘Yesterday’.
The ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker landed a role in Danny Boyle’s upcoming movie – which follows a struggling songwriter Jack Malik (Himesh Patel) who, after an accident, ends up in a world where nobody else has heard of The Beatles – and it seems his partner Cherry Seaborn will also be seen on the big screen.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Shooting this film was a real laugh and they did some of it on Ed’s tour.
“Cherry visits him on the road a fair amount and ended up getting to feature in a scene as an extra.
“It’s only a tiny part but Ed and Cherry thought it was hilarious, and it’s pretty cute. She even appears in the end credits.”
While Sheeran is in several scenes in the film playing himself as he spots Patel’s character – who is passing off The Beatles’ music as his own – and turns him into a start, it’s said Seaborn’s appearance is more fleeting.
With Boyle at the helm and Richard Curtis in charge of the script, fans are excited for the movie’s release.
And Sheeran recently revealed he was also tasked with helping the leading man become a “fantastic performer”.
He said: “Himesh has been phenomenal. He’s gone from being a bit reticent to shy to being a fantastic performer.
“Danny wanted me to work with the main actor and turn him into a superstar, he was really adamant.
“We worked with Himesh all the way through from buying his first guitar in the shops, so finding one he could love and learn to play with, to sending him out busking and playing the songs.”

Laura Linney doubts there will be a Love Actually sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Laura Linney has admitted she would be “surprised” if a proper ‘Love Actually’ sequel went ahead.
The 55-year-old actress portrayed Sarah in the 2003 rom-com classic and although a mini-sequel aired for Red Nose Day in 2017, the ‘Ozark’ star has admitted it’s “unlikely” that a second instalment will appear on the big screen.
Asked if she thinks fans will get another movie on ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’, Laura admitted: “I doubt it. I’d be surprised. But you never know.”
Laura’s character only featured in a US version of ‘Red Nose Day Actually’ along with a guest appearance from Patrick Dempsey, who gives Sarah her happy ending.
The UK version saw writer and director Richard Curtis return, along with Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, Andrew Lincoln, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Keira Knightley, Martine McCutcheon, Bill Nighy, Thomas Sangster, Lúcia Moniz, Olivia Olson, Marcus Brigstocke, and Rowan Atkinson, who all reprised their roles.
However, Emma Thompson opted out of the reunion as she felt “too sad” to take part without the late Alan Rickman.
Alan and Emma played husband and wife Harry and Karen in the original film but Emma admitted that she and director Richard decided she couldn’t feature in the update without Alan, who died in 2016 after battling cancer.
She said: “Richard wrote to me and said, ‘Darling, we can’t write anything for you because of Alan,’ and I said, ‘No of course, it would be sad, too sad.’
“It’s too soon. It’s absolutely right because it’s supposed to be for Comic Relief but there isn’t much comic relief in the loss of our dear friend really only just over a year ago. We thought and thought but it just seemed wrong but to revisit the wonderful fun characters of Bill Nighy and Hugh Grant and Liam (Neeson) and all of that, that’s fantastic but obviously what would he have done? Both of them would be in therapy by now and I would be working on some kind of ward. It was absolutely the right decision.”
The movie focuses on the complex relationships between a number of couples, including David (Grant), the British Prime Minister who falls head-over-heels for his personal assistant (McCutcheon), Sarah Linney), a graphic designer whose love life struggles due to having to care for her mentally ill brother and Harry (Rickman), who become besotted with his colleague (Heike Makatsch).

Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps set for special comeback

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps’ is set for a comeback.
Actor Will Mellor – who played Gaz Wilkinson in all nine series of the classic BBC Two sitcom until 2011 – has teased a return for the show after all 79 episodes were recently added to iPlayer, with Gold also showing re-runs in the evening.
In an Instagram video, he said: “Recently, since ‘Two Pints’ came back, it is on at 11 o’clock every night on Gold, they are showing every episode, people have been messaging me about how much they miss the show and how much it was part of their growing up. Saying ‘please bring it back for a special or do something’.
“Well, I have been listening and reading your messages and I think we are going to get a Two Pints special off the ground. I spoke to Susan Nickson [the show’s creator] and we are hopefully going to try and get a ‘Two Pints’ special going.”
Will – who starred alongside Natalie Casey, Ralf Little, Kathryn Drysdale and Sheridan Smith – added that the episode would be a “thank you” to the show’s fans, and he told everyone to “watch this space”.
He teased: “Just to say thank you for all the support of people who love the show and got behind it.
“Watch this space, just got to dot the ‘i’s and cross the ‘t’s and hopefully a ‘Two Pints’ special will be on the way.”
The exciting news comes after it was confirmed ‘Gavin & Stacey’ will be back later this year for a Christmas special, and although she has revealed she hasn’t been asked to be involved, fans will be hoping Sheridan returns for ‘Two Pints’.

Bodyguard 2 officially ‘in talks’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jed Mercurio has confirmed “talks” are underway for another instalment of ‘Bodyguard’.
The award-winning show’s creator has revealed that the team are currently holding discussions about bringing back the BBC One drama, which starred Richard Madden as war veteran PS David Budd alongside Home Secretary Julia Montague (Keeley Hawes).
Speaking at the Banff World Media Festival in Canada, he spilled: “We’re in talks. We’re going through the logistics of it.
“There’s no real update now.”
‘Rocketman’ star Richard – who won the Golden Globe for Actor in a Drama TV series for the part – recently suggested the second season could be set up to two years in the future.
The 32-year-old actor revealed that he and Jed decided to hold off on another series of the show as his character “definitely needs a vacation”.
He said: “We’ve been talking about it and I spoke to Jed about a month after the show had finished airing over in the UK and we sat and decided let’s give it at least a year while we work out how to do something better.
“A couple of things. You cannot jump into it. David Budd definitely needs a vacation after that. He’s not going to go back to work, is he?
“And also he’s the most famous man in London because of what happens at the end of episode six. He couldn’t just go straight back into work.
“And me and Jed both agree that there’s something much more interesting in, ‘Let’s catch up with him 18 months later, two years later after this has happened and say where is he now? What’s happened to him?'”
The Scottish star – whose character was last seen in the season finale of the show seen walking through the streets of central London with a suicide bomb strapped to his chest – added that he can’t wait to get back in the head of his alter ego.
He said: “I’d love to get back into his head. If he didn’t have enough going on in his head already, after all this experience, throwing that on top of everything, where does that put this man in terms of his morals?”

Denise van Outen joins Neighbours

OHMYGOSSIP — Denise van Outen has joined ‘Neighbours’.
The 45-year-old actress will portray Prue Wallace, the enigmatic mother of Harlow Robinson – played by Jason Donovan’s daughter Jemma Donovan – and ‘Good Morning Britain’ showbiz reporter Richard Arnold will also make a cameo appearance in some of her scenes.
Denise said: “I am thrilled to be joining the cast of one the world’s most iconic shows, ‘Neighbours’.
“To be asked is a privilege and I am very excited to get to work on a really fun storyline first in London and then heading over to Melbourne.
“I can’t say too much just yet but my character Prue is heading to Ramsay Street to stir things up and I can’t wait.”
While Denise will begin ‘Neighbours’ life shooting scenes at London’s St James Park this week, alongside Stefan Dennis (Paul Robinson) and Rebekah Elmaloglou (Terese Willis), she will head to the show’s Melbourne set to continue filming her scenes.
Richard – who made a cameo in Channel 4 soap ‘Hollyoaks’ last year – will star as Graham, a guy who exerts an unhealthy influence over Prue.
He said: “I always knew my career would hit a ‘dead end’ eventually but I never dreamed it would do so in such spectacular fashion joining the cast of ‘Neighbours’, home to the most famous cul-de-sac in television.
“G’Day Britain.”
Stefan is also delighted about the pair joining the Channel 5 soap.
He added: “We love the Brits and being in this incredible city. Getting the chance to work with Denise and Richard is a real treat.”
Denise – who played Karin Smart in ‘EastEnders’ in April 2015 – and Richard, who will only appear in one ‘Neighbours’ episode, will feature on screen later this year.
‘Neighbours’ airs Monday to Friday on Channel 5 at 1:45pm and 5:30pm.

Gregg Wallace’s wife addresses 21-year age gap

OHMYGOSSIP — Gregg Wallace’s wife has addressed their 21-year age gap, insisting it is “just a number”.
The 54-year-old TV presenter’s significant other Anne-Marie Wallace – who he shares two-month-old son Sid with – says age isn’t important, and the ‘MasterChef’ co-host admits he still feels “lucky” to have met his soulmate.
She said: “I don’t think age matters at all, it is just a number.”
Gregg added: “I honestly now believe it’s a complete and utter game of chance. I’m not a different person. I’ve just met someone who really likes and who appreciates who I am.
“The chances of meeting someone who has got what you want and you’ve got what they want, it’s got to be luck.”
As well as Anna, Gregg also lives with her mum Rina Sterpin, who he bonded with during drunken phone calls when he first started dating his now-wife.
Speaking in a joint interview on ‘Lorraine’, he added: “I don’t know what we would do without her [Rina].
“When I started dating Anna, and I would get insecure because she’s young and beautiful, I would phone Anna and she would put me on the phone to her mum.
“Sometimes if I’d been out drinking, a couple of times I spent about an hour chatting to her mum.”
Gregg previously admitted having his mother-in-law living with him gave him more security about his relationship.
He said: “Anne can’t leave me because mum would have to leave as well, so for an insecure old man with a younger woman, that’s good news.
“It’s made a family home for them now Anne and her mum are here all the time.”

Megan Barton-Hanson thinks Sherif Lanre did something ‘serious’

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan Barton-Hanson thinks Sherif Lanre must have done something “serious” to have left ‘Love Island’.
The 2018 contestant is “baffled” by the circumstances surrounding the 20-year-old chef’s exit from the show – which was “mutually agreed” by him and the producers – earlier this week and she’s branded the hopeful “naive” for thinking he could get away with not sticking to the strict rules set down by programme bosses.
She wrote in her column for The Sun Online: “I reckon he must have done some something SERIOUS, God knows what it was.
“Rumours are rife about the real reason why Sherif left through the back door after a mutual agreement with bosses.
“But I’m totally baffled.I don’t know what on earth it could have been. I know it’s a lot to go into with a show like this and you’ve got to be willing to stick to all the rules and regulations.
“I would have thought he would be too engrossed in the moment and trying to find someone to click with, he wouldn’t have been interested in anything else.
“There’s always cameras on you 24/7 so they see everything. It’s a bit naive of him to try and get away with something on there.
“They’ve got a show to make so even when you’re off you’re being followed because they don’t want to miss any news or secret chats.
“Also our suitcases get searched before you go in.
“There’s so many different reasons as to why he left, so until we know we’re just going to have to be curious…”
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty – who found love with Wes Nelson on last year’s show before they split earlier this year – admitted she isn’t a fan of any of the 2019 male contestants apart from Curtis Pritchard and doesn’t think she’d have fared very well if she’d been in the villa this year.
She wrote: “I’ve gone off all the boys other than Curtis. He’s not my type, but if my best friend got with him I’d be rooting for them. He’s a proper gentleman.
“But as for the rest… there’s no one I like! I think I’d be kicked out this series, I don’t rate any of them including the new guy Danny.
“They’re all too much. Everyone is getting really attached so soon. “They’re just doing it for airtime and it’s hurting my heart a little bit.”

EastEnders team up with National Autistic Society for new plot

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘EastEnders’ have teamed up with the National Autistic Society for a storyline which could result in Mick and Linda Carter’s kid Ollie Carter being autistic.
The charity “jumped at the chance” to work with the BBC One soap on the plot, which last night (11.06.19) saw Mick (Danny Dyer) and Linda (Kellie Bright) told by a doctor that the youngster was showing signs of autism.
Jane Harris, director of external affairs at the National Autistic Society, said: “We were absolutely delighted when EastEnders contacted us about this storyline.
“We jumped at the chance to be involved because we recognised that it was a fantastic opportunity to help millions of viewers understand more about the autism assessment process and what families go through in order to get a diagnosis.
“There are over 700,000 autistic people in the UK and most people know someone who is autistic, whether it’s a friend, classmate, colleague or family member.
“Yet only 16 per cent of autistic people and their families feel the public understand autism and half of autistic people sometimes don’t leave the house because they’re afraid the public won’t understand them.
“So it’s hugely encouraging to see more TV dramas representing storylines about autism in their work.”
Jon Sen, EastEnders’ executive producer, revealed Mick and Linda will face “various challenges” as they look for ways to help Ollie.
He said: “‘EastEnders’ has a history of doing ground-breaking stories that resonate with the nation.
“When Mick and Linda start to worry about Ollie’s behaviour, they face various challenges as they search for the answers necessary to help their son.
“‘EastEnders’ has been privileged to work closely with the National Autistic Society to accurately depict the pressure and struggles that can be felt by parents as they begin this journey.”
This comes after Talia Grant became the first female actress who is autistic to land a mainstream role on British TV after joining the cast of Channel 4 soap ‘Hollyoaks’ – as teenager Brooke Hathaway, who also has autism – last summer.

Robert Pattinson drops out of The Souvenir sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Robert Pattinson has dropped out of ‘The Souvenir’ sequel due to scheduling conflicts.
The 33-year-old actor has pulled out of the follow up to Joanna Hogg’s 2019 indie-drama which is expected to start shooting next month as he’s too busy with his role in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming action epic ‘Tenet’ and has just been cast in Matt Reeves’ forthcoming superhero film ‘The Batman’, in which he will play The Caped Crusader.
A representative for the actor told IndieWire: “Despite Rob’s strong desire to do the film, scheduling proved impossible but he very much looks forward to working with Joanna on something down the line.”
‘The Souvenir’ starred Honor Swinton Byrne, Tom Burke and Tilda Swinton and followed a young woman as she embarks on a relationship with a troubled older man.
The film’s sequel was planned prior to its premiere at Sundance, and A24, who distributed the first film, will distribute the follow-up as well.
The ‘Twilight Saga’ star began shooting ‘Tenant’ late last month and joins a star-studded cast which includes the likes of Sir Michael Caine, Sir Kenneth Branagh, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Debicki, John David Washington, Dimple Kapadia and Clemence Poesy.
The motion picture is epic action movie about international espionage and it will be shot across seven countries and is set for release on July 17, 2020.
Pre-production on ‘The Batman’ is expected to kick off this summer ahead of a June 2021 release.
Reeves took over ‘The Batman’ directing duties from Ben Affleck – who also stepped down from the role as the titular character in January – and he will produce the motion picture with Dylan Clark.

Kieron Richardson teases more ‘haunting’ Hollyoaks scenes

OHMYGOSSIP — Kieron Richardson says his ‘Hollyoaks’ far-right radicalisation storyline will become even more “haunting to watch” in the coming days.
The 33-year-old star’s alter-ego Ste Hay will be involved in a “sinister” tattoo initiation scene later this week, and the actor insists the hard-hitting plot has to be “uncomfortable to watch” to resemble real life.
He said: “At the end of this week, there’s an initiation involving a tattoo, so that’s another sign of Ste being accepted into the group. It’s quite a sinister scene and quite haunting to watch.
“There’s loads of horrible bits that the viewers will have to watch, but it’s not a light, fluffy storyline.
“It’s the way that it’s got to be told. I know that it’s uncomfortable to watch, but it has to be like that. Imagine how uncomfortable it is for us for the people who actually have to live through this.”
Kieron is hopeful the ‘Hollyoaks’ audience will be able to “forgive” Ste, and admits he can’t help but feel “protective” over the character.
He added to Digital Spy: “I do get protective of Ste. I’m not silly or stupid – I know he’s only a character and he’s an idiot – but you do get protective over your character when you play them for 12 hours a day, Monday to Friday. I absolutely love him deep down, even though he is stupid.
“I do hope there is some kind of redemption for Ste.
“Everyone is saying that it will happen at some point, but it’ll be interesting to see how it does. We’re trying to tell the story as true to life as possible, so I’m hoping that we do that. I am excited for it and hopefully the audience will forgive Ste.”
Kieron recently admitted he had to quit Twitter as a result of the soap’s radicalisation storyline, with some trolls accusing him of “teaching his kids to be racist”.
He said: “I had people saying things like, ‘You’re teaching your kid to be racist. You’re an irresponsible parent.’
“I just couldn’t deal with people saying things about my kids.”

Christopher Quinten’s fiancee’s family found age gap ‘difficult’

OHMYGOSSIP — Christopher Quinten’s fiancée says her family found their 40-year age gap “really difficult” at first.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actor – who played Gail Platt’s (Helen Worth) mechanic husband Brian Tilsley in the 1980s – recently popped the question to his stripper significant other Robyn Delabarre, and she admits her family are now “so supportive” of their romance.
The 21-year-old dancer said: “[My family] found it really difficult at first. The big age gap, it’s a big thing.
“My mum is 38 and my dad is 40. Now they’re so supportive of me.
“Chris is much older but we had such a nice connection we just got on well, we spoke a lot.”
Christopher, 61, added: “I’ve spoken to the mum and they all love me, thankfully. We haven’t spoken to her dad yet, but he’s OK.”
The happy couple had an “instant connection”, but with Chris working as a manager of gentleman’s club Secrets Hammersmith and Robyn working there as a stripper, she had to keep their seven-month romance a secret from her pals, and even family, at first.
She said: “I had to keep it a secret, it was really hard for me. I had to lie to other dancers, my family.
“They [the dancers] are fine about it now, but I think they were a bit disappointed I didn’t tell them.”
She has since been moved on to work at another Secrets establishment after news of their relationship became public knowledge.
Speaking in a joint interview on ‘This Morning’, Chris added: “We don’t work in the same club now though, because when they found out they moved her from Secrets Hammersmith to the other three clubs they have.”
