OHMYGOSSIP — Mary J. Blige has joined ‘Pink Skies Ahead’.
The 48-year-old singer-and-actress has boarded the forthcoming adaptation of the essay ‘No Real Danger’ from Kelly Oxford’s second book ‘When You Find Out The World Is Against You’ alongside ‘Laverne & Shirley’ actor Michael McKean, ‘Lady Bird’ actress Odeya Rush and Ashlee + Evan musician Evan Ross.
The film will tell the story of a wild young woman, portrayed by ‘End of the F***ing World’ star Jessica Barden, who is forced to drop out of college and move back in with her parents after being diagnosed with an anxiety disorder.
The ‘Family Affair’ hitmaker will play a therapist who attempts to help the lead character cope with her increasing panic attacks while McKean will play her father who employs her at his property management company.
The cast will also include Henry Winkler, Marcia Gay Harden, Rosa Salazar, Lewis Pullman and Devon Bostic.
Production starts this month with Greg Silverman and Lisa Zambri producing with Divide/Conquer’s Greg Gilreath and Adam Hendricks while Gideon Yu and Zac Locke are exec producers.
Blige made her acting debut in ‘Prison Song’ in 2001 and starred in Tyler Perry’s ‘I Can Do Bad All By Myself’ and Tom Cruise’s ‘Rock of Ages’ and in 2017 her role in wartime drama ‘Mudbound’ won her two Oscar nominations for best-supporting actress and in the original song category for ‘Mighty River.’
The ‘Real Love’ singer most recently starred in the Netflix superhero series ‘The Umbrella Academy’ which was based on the comic book series of the same name created by former My Chemical Romance frontman, Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá.

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Arterton says her ‘Kingsman: The Great Game’ character “runs things” in the film.
The 33-year-old actress plays Polly the Nanny in Matthew Vaughn’s forthcoming prequel film and although details of the role are sparse, Gemma has teased that her alter ego is “incredibly quick and smart” and takes charge of the other characters “from the get go”.
Speaking in the Daily Mail newspaper’s Baz Bamigboye column, she said: “She’s a mysterious character and from the get-go we see that she kind of runs things in the house. Polly’s incredibly quick and smart.”
The ‘Quantum of Solace’ star went on to compare Polly to a “rock ‘n’ roll” version of Mary Poppins and commented that the film is a “study of aristocracy” as her character and Alison Steadman’s are the only ones from working class backgrounds.
She said: “I remember saying to Matthew how strong Polly is – she’s funny, and a bit different. Mary Poppins but more rock ‘n’ roll.
“These characters who have working-class backgrounds – and nearly everyone else is upper class. It’s a study of aristocracy really.”
Director Matthew, 48, cannot heap enough praise on ‘Clash of the Titans’ star Gemma and believes she deserves more recognition for her talent as she’s one of the “best” actresses working at the moment.
He said: “She’s one of our best actresses I don’t understand why she isn’t a bigger star.”
‘Kingsman: The Great Game’ is a prequel to the first two movies in the franchise – which starred Taron Egerton as spy Eggsy – and the plot is a fictional storyline focused around the real life Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment which for over a 100 years has included Kingsman as a unique rank, the equivalent of private.

OHMYGOSSIP — Shayne Ward would love to land a role in ‘Line of Duty’.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ star – who played Aidan Connor from 2015 until 2018 – has revealed if he was to return to the small screen his dream gig would be to star in one of Jed Mercurio’s hit shows, including the award-winning BBC cop drama, which stars the likes of Martin Compston, Adrian Dunbar, Vicky McClure and Keeley Hawes or ‘The Bodyguard’, which sees Scottish hunk Richard Madden portray PC David Budd.
Shayne – who shot to fame as the winner of the second series of ‘The X Factor’ in 2005 – has a new found confidence since transforming his appearance.
Appearing on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ on Friday (28.06.19), he said: “It’s why I am getting myself into great shape hopefully, and you are looking to put it out there, to actually put it out there, ‘Line of Duty’.
“Not in the film, but I love the show of it.”
Asked what sort of character he’d like to play, he said: “Stephen Graham (John Corbett) was fantastic or any of them.
“It’s always good to come on camera ready, so..
‘Bodyguard’ that would be great. Camera ready.”
Meanwhile, Shayne said he won’t be appearing on the planned all-star series of ‘The X Factor’ as he ws “already committed” to a theatre adaptation of iconic crime drama TV series ‘Band of Gold’.
Asked if he will be appearing on ‘The X Factor’ special, he said: “No. It would have been amazing. With this now I think it would have been winners of winners.
“There were discussions of that as well.
A lot of them were approached a lot earlier, it might have been a different outcome, but I was already committed to ‘Band of Gold’ with Kay Mellor and myself.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Langsford feels “grateful” for all the sympathetic messages she’s received following the death of her sister.
The TV presenter has been left devastated after her older sibling Julia passed away last week, and her husband and ‘This Morning’ co-host Eamonn Holmes passed on a message from her on today’s (28.06.19) show.
Speaking on the brunch-time programme, he said: “Ruth wants me to say to the production team, everybody who works here in this studio, she said, ‘Everyone of them has been in touch,’ and she’s so grateful for everything that everybody has said.
“So, thank you. She can’t reply to everything. She reads them all, and it’s much, much appreciated.”
Looking at his co-host Rylan Clark-Neal, who has been stepping in for Ruth on the show for the last two Fridays, Eamonn said: “He’s chief counsellor, he is.”
Rylan joked: “I know, how much are you paying me for this?”
Eamonn replied: “We’ll look after you, don’t worry. You’ll see when Christmas comes.”
Last Friday (21.06.19), Eamonn broke down on the show while explaining why Rylan was stepping in for Ruth.
Reading out a heartfelt tribute tweet she wrote the day before, he said: “Let me just explain why it is Rylan and myself today. You may already be aware of the terrible bereavement Ruth has had yesterday on her social media.
“She made this post to inform everyone and she said, ‘My lovely sis Julia has died after a long illness.
“‘My heart is completely broken. She was the kindest and most gentle soul …’ ”
As Eamonn struggled to hold back the tears, Rylan took over reading out Ruth’s tribute, saying: “‘And I’ll miss her forever as I am sure you will appreciate I need to take him to grieve. Thank you for your understanding.’ ”
Eamonn admitted he was grateful to Rylan for stepping in for Ruth, and revealed the former ‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’ host was the first person he called when he heard Julia had passed away. all of this.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lena Dunham is “obsessed” with ‘Love Island’.
The ‘Girls’ star cannot get enough of the dating show, and she has told her fans to lookout for the American series – which is based on the British show – beginning on July 9th.
The US actress wrote on Twitter: “USA, #LoveIsland is coming your way July 9th. Like the most of the UK, I am obsessed with the show…. Just saying… (sic)”
Lena is a big fan of Islander Maura Higgins, who unleashed her fury on Tom Walker, who she is coupled up with, on last night’s (27.06.19) show after he called her “OTT” and admitted behind her back that she makes him “cringe” at times.
The ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ star shared a picture of Jesus with Maura’s face Photoshopped over his head, and credited the artwork to Irish comedienne Aisling Bea.
And she tweeted: “For you folks in the UK who are binging on @LoveIsland like me, like Maura, I want a partner who can match me, not a coward who thinks I’m OTT, cringey and an attention seeker! Team Maura! #loveisland (art by Aisling Bea) (sic)”
Lena’s comments came after Maura told Tom exactly what she thought of him after he had informed fellow Islander Jordan Hames he finds her “attention-seeking” and she makes him “cringe”.
Confronting him, she said: “Why weren’t you honest with me? Am I an attention seeker? Am I OTT? Do you honestly think that I want to speak to you.
“You’ve nothing to say for yourself because you know you’re a bare faced liar. Why did you get into bed with me last night and kiss me last night if you think I’m an attention seeker?
“How dare you say those things about me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Shayne Ward wasn’t allowed to did gigs abroad whilst on ‘Coronation Street’ because of continuity.
The 34-year-old actor-and-singer – who shot to fame as the winner of ‘The X Factor’ in 2005 – kept up his music career during his time on the ITV soap as Aidan Connor, between 2015 and 2018, but it was in his contract that he couldn’t do shows outside of the UK, because it could have affected the consistency of his scenes.
Appearing on ‘This Morning’ on Friday (28.06.19), he said: “I still did the gigs but I wasn’t able to travel outside of the country for continuity and things like that.
“I had to be there. I couldn’t just go to The Rovers [pub] and then travel to Vietnam.”
Shayne is to be back playing arenas on the upcoming ‘Stepback Tour’ with his idols this October and November, which he was surprised to be on considering his music career launched in the mid-2000s and it’s mainly comprised of 90s stars such as 5ive and B*Witched.
The ‘That’s My Goal’ hitmaker said: “[The offer came] just completely out of the blue.
“For me I am a fan of a lot of those bands, what a great era for music in the 90s.
“So to be on with 5ive 911, to be on with Atomic Kitten, B*Witched.
“I’m so excited.
“I didn’t expect it because naturally I am from 2005. I and delighted because i get to play the arenas again and stuff that I did back in the day. ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Maura Higgins is “not sad” to see Tom Walker leave the ‘Love Island’ villa.
The hunk was given the boot from the ITV2 reality dating show by his fellow islanders in the episode that aired on Thursday night (27.06.19) and the Irish beauty has insisted she isn’t too fussed about Tom’s departure as she wasn’t “going to give him another chance” following her discovery that he had described her as “OTT”.
The 28-year-old ring girl had also caught him earlier in the week telling the other boys that he was going to find out if she is “all mouth” with her sexual boasts when the pair were due to spend a night alone in The Hideaway, leaving Maura fuming and turning down the chance for a night away from the main villa.
While debriefing on the night’s events on the daybeds Amber Gill says: “I feel like the correct decision was made tonight.”
Maura agreed: “I was never going to give him another chance, so romantically I’m not sad to see him go.”
The double dumping also saw 28-year-old model Arabella Chi – who was paired up with Danny Williams after he ditched Yewande Biala for the blonde beauty two days after her arrival – exit the Majorca villa and Danny confessed he doesn’t know if he sees a future on the show without her.
While reflecting on Arabella’s exit with Michael Griffiths and Jordan Hames in the kitchen, Danny admitted: “I just can’t imagine someone coming in here and doing what she has done and making me feel like that.”
Meanwhile, Lucie Donlan – who was voted as one of the public’s favourite couples alongside Anton Danyluk – makes a confession which is set to rock the villa as she admitted she’s started to have feelings for her pal Tommy Fury, who is currently coupled up with social media influencer Molly-Mae Hague.
Speaking to Anton, Lucie says: “I respect Molly and I respect Tommy, I can see they clearly like each other… But then I said to the girls, I have been best friends with guys and then I’ve dated one of them. It’s happened. I’m not going to lie. But at the same time when you get moments like this, you feel like you don’t know where you’re going to go and if I feel like I left and had never said anything, I would feel regret.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lisa Faulkner felt her world get “smaller and smaller” during her struggles with fertility and IVF treatment.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star adopted a daughter named Billie in 2008 with her ex-husband Chris Coghill, but has now revealed the decision to adopt came after a lengthy struggle with conceiving
Lisa had one of her fallopian tubes removed after a failed pregnancy, which reduced her chances of getting pregnant, and after turning to IVF treatment, she was eventually told by one doctor that they couldn’t “do the magic”.
Speaking on ‘The Chris Evans Breakfast Show’, Lisa said: “My whole world got smaller and smaller and was just about how I was going to have a baby, and why wasn’t it working? We tried all IVF, we had an amazing doctor who eventually said, ‘I can’t do the magic, I’m letting you go’.
“That was the door that shut – I was on my knees saying, ‘I don’t know what to do now? It’s a blow, having to tell people that it didn’t work. And you’re pumped on hormones that makes you lose grip on reality. You go crazy.”
The beauty divorced Chris in 2011, and is now engaged to celebrity chef John Torode, whom she first met back in 2010 when Lisa won ‘Celebrity MasterChef’.
Meanwhile, Lisa previously said she would consider returning to ‘EastEnders’ – where she played Fi Browning for a short time in 2017 – because she had a “lovely time” on the BBC soap.
She said: “It was such a great character that I couldn’t refuse. I went in and I loved it … I had such a lovely time doing it.
“If they did ever say, ‘Would you like to come back and do a bit more Fi?’ then I definitely wouldn’t say no. It’s such a lovely place to work and everyone was so nice.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tracy Shaw had to lay with a phone between her “bum cheeks” when she was killed off of ‘Coronation Street’ 16 years ago.
The 45-year-old actress played Maxine Peacock on the ITV soap between 1995 and 2003, where she was eventually brutally killed by Brian Capron’s character Richard Hillman.
And during an appearance on ‘Loose Women’ on Friday (28.06.19), Tracy discovered she had been laying on the floor once Maxine had been killed with a phone on her bum, after Brian had accidentally knocked one off the desk on set.
Panellist Andrea McLean revealed: “He said that his phone flew out of his pocket when he was filming that final scene and it landed in your bum cheeks.”
To which a shocked Tracy replied: “Such a fibber, I don’t remember that at all. In my bum cheeks? He’s a cheeky monkey. He was doing that for viewing figures weren’t he?”
But the actress got the chance to ask her on-screen killer in person, as the panellists then revealed Brian was coming on the show to be reunited with Tracy, 16 years after their final scenes together.
And he explained: “Well it is true, you probably don’t remember it, but I came off thinking that was terrific.
“I expected everyone to go ‘come on mate’ and they were all laughing. I said: ‘What was so funny?’ And they said: ‘Have a look.’
“It was when I cleared the desk, one of those normal phones went up and it had landed in between your bum cheeks.”
Tracy then asked if anybody had told her at the time about the mishap, and Brian added: “Nobody told you, they removed it discreetly but you had to lay there for ages.”
Elsewhere during her time on the talk show, Tracy praised the “brilliant writers” that work on ‘Corrie’.
She said: “There are brilliant writers on Corrie. We were always having a good laugh on that show. I went back recently to see some people and it was quite breathtaking.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary Dauberman says there could be potential ‘It’ spin-off movies.
The screenwriter – who is responsible for penning some of the biggest hits in the Conjuring Universe such as ‘Annabelle’ and ‘The Nun’ – co-wrote the 2017 film adaptation of Stephen King’s classic horror novel ‘It’ and its upcoming sequel both of which focus on evil entity Pennywise the Dancing Clown who has inhabited the fictional town of Derry, Maine, since the town was colonised.
Now, Gary has revealed that it would be “cool” to tell the antagonist’s origin story and thinks there’s “room to build on the mythology of It” as he’s existed since “the beginning of time”.
In an interview with website Bloody Disgusting, he said: “I’m sure there’s interest but I gotta say. We want to be respectful to the material of the book. I don’t think anybody’s over there.
“In fact I know there’s no one over there going, ‘Hey, let’s definitely do this and we could tell this story of what happened at the beaver trapping camp,’ or whatever.
“While you could [tell that story], and I think it would be cool, I don’t think that’s what people are doing currently if that makes sense. You know what I mean?
“So yes, to answer your question I think there is room to build on the mythology of It because It has been around from the beginning of time.
“But I don’t know if there are any plans for it. I was just very happy to tackle the book.”
Dauberman is also writing the forthcoming big screen adaptation of King’s 1975 book ‘Salem’s Lot’ for New Line Cinema and he has vowed to stay as close to the source material from the book as he can.
He said: “I like to be as true to the story as I possibly can until it gets a little too unwieldy for a movie. I’m very, very excited to be a part of [‘Salem’s Lot’] and tackle it.”
The novel follows a writer who returns to his childhood home, the town of Jerusalem’s Lot, where he discovers everyone he used to know is now a vampire.

OHMYGOSSIP — Melissa McCarthy is in talks to play Ursula in ‘The Little Mermaid’.
The 48-year-old actress is set to take on the role of the sea witch in the upcoming live-action adaptation of the Disney cartoon classic, Variety reports.
Rob Marshall, who directed ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ will helm the new movie, which will include original songs from the 1989 animated film, along with new tunes from Lin-Manuel Miranda and Alan Menken.
Miranda is producing the film along with Marshall, Marc Platt and John DeLuca, while David Magee wrote the script.
Disney is committed to rebooting its classic animations with ‘The Jungle Book’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Aladdin’ and ‘Dumbo’ all hitting cinemas in recent times with ‘The Lion King’ and ‘Snow White’ to follow among others.
However, acclaimed composer Alan Menken – who has won Academy Awards for his scores on Disney films ‘The Little Mermaid’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Aladdin’ and ‘Pocahontas’ – recently claimed that despite the string of reboots 1995’s ‘Pocahontas’ probably won’t be remade.
The musician argued that due to “modern sensibilities” it would be difficult to do a retelling of the film, which gives a fictionalised account of a Native American woman of the same name and her historical encounter with Englishman John Smith and the Jamestown settlers that arrived from the Virginia Company.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’s Joe Garratt has lashed out after Lucie Donlan admitted to having feelings for Tommy Fury.
The ousted former contestant had been suspicious of Lucie and Tommy’s close friendship when he was coupled up with Lucie in the ‘Love Island’ villa and after she confessed her feelings for the boxer, Joe took to Twitter to share his thoughts.
He wrote: “Always trust your gut instincts.”
Lucie – who had briefly been coupled up with Tommy at the beginning of the series – told him she wanted to explore a romantic relationship with him, saying: “I would be up for what we had before. I know there could be something more.”
However, Lucie was ultimately left disappointed when Tommy revealed he is happy with his current partner, Molly-Mae Hague.
He said: “I have found everything I want in Molly -Mae.”
And he told Molly-Mae: “Do you think I’m gonna be the same after her intentions? I’m here for you and only you.”
Molly-Mae went on to confront Lucie, admitting she was shocked by Lucie’s feelings for Tommy as she thought the pair were just friends.
She said: “It feels like the wool’s been pulled over my eyes slightly.
“For you to say that, deep down there must have been something there.
“I was just a bit shocked because I genuinely thought you were categorically just friends.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Footballer Ian Wright is in talks to star in ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.
The 55-year-old former Arsenal star has been holding talks with ITV bosses about entering the jungle and they have offered him a six-figure sum to entice him.
A source told The Sun: “Ian would be a massive signing for ITV who’ve been keen to get him Down Under for a while.
“After watching Harry Redknapp win the last series, Ian has decided he would be up for giving it a whirl.
“He’s been offered a six figure sum to take part. Ian’s not afraid of much but has joked to his pals he’ll be useless at the eating tasks because he’s so fussy.”
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Stephanie Waring’s friends are desperate to see her “scream for a couple of weeks” on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actress has been heavily linked to the ITV reality show in the past, and she said all of her loved ones are “dying” to see her head into the jungle because she’s “scared of everything”.
She said: “Everyone who knows me is dying to see me in the jungle. I know why – it’s because I’m scared of everything and they want to watch me scream for a couple of weeks.
“I guess it would be a challenge to see if I could get through it and I do love Australia, so if they ever call, I’ll have to see if I feel brave enough to do it.”
The 41-year-old soap star – who plays Cindy Cunningham – is “really busy” with other commitments, but heading Down Under is still something she’d like to “tick off the list” at some point in the future.
Asked if she was jealous of co-star Malique Thompson-Dwyer heading into the jungle last year, she told new! magazine: “Not at all.

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Arterton and Elizabeth Debicki “built” even more on the “chemistry” they already shared on the set of ‘Vita and Virginia’.
The actresses play titular author Virginia Woolf and socialite Vita Sackville-West respectively, who have an explosive affair in the biopic, and the pair already “adored” each other as friends in real life before they started working on the film, which only strengthened their bond further.
Praising her co-star’s “vivid and powerful” performance, Elizabeth, 28, said: “She [Gemma] is a sublime actress and absolutely glorious woman.
“Her Vita is so vivid and powerful.
“As Virginia I only had to look at her and feel awe.”
Whilst Gemma, 33, added to DIVA magazine: “Vita and Virginia were polar opposites, which is why I believe they were so drawn to one another.
“Vita confident and physical, Virginia awkward and intellectual.
“Elizabeth and I are quite different ourselves, but adore each other, so I suppose our chemistry was already there for us to build on.”
The pair are involved in such an intense on-screen affair and Gemma said if Vita and Virginia were alive now, her alter ego would be “obsessing” over people not reading her messages on WhatsApp.
She said: “If they were alive now, they’d be prolific WhatsAppers. Virginia would be obsessing over the blue ticks!”
Gemma recently admitted she felt “kind of promiscuous” reading the screenplay, which is largely based on the real life letters of the two lovers.
She said:”I think what anchored me was something I connected with at the time of reading the screenplay: I felt kind of promiscuous, and that I couldn’t give my heart away. For me, the key was her line: ‘If you leave me adrift, I will hurt you.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Wahlberg is set to take over Chris Evans’ role in ‘Infinite’.
Chris signed up to the picture in February but has had to pull out due to scheduling issues and Mark is being lined up to take his place in the mystery film helmed by Antoine Fuqua for Paramount Pictures and penned by John Lee Hancock and Ian Shorr who are adapting D. Eric Maikranz’s 2009 novel, The Reincarnationist Papers.
The project is being produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian at Di Bonaventura Pictures, and John Zaozirny. Rafi Crohn is the executive producer.
The original novel introduces readers to the Cognomina, a secret society of people who possess total recall of their past lives and a troubled young man who becomes haunted by memories of two past lives after joining their ranks.
The movie is slated for release on August 7, 2020.
Meanwhile, it was revealed in May that Mark has joined ‘Scoob’.
The ‘Daddy’s Home 2’ star will voice superhero Blue Falcon in the new Warner Bros. animated Scooby-Doo movie based on the iconic children’s cartoon.
This comes after ‘Hangover’ actor Ken Jeong and Kiersey Clemons were confirmed to portray Dynomutt, Dog Wonder, a pooch with mechanical robot parts, and Dee Dee Sykes, who was one of the smartest members of Captain Caveman’s Teen Angels group.
Frank Welker will voice the titular pooch, after voicing crime-solving Mystery Inc. gang character Fred Jones since the animated comedy TV series ‘Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!’ made its debut in 1969.
Instead, Zac Efron will voice Fred for the forthcoming film and Amanda Seyfried will be Daphne Blake, while Will Forte will play Shaggy Rogers.
The Mystery Inc. gang – who aim to solve crimes alongside their canine companion Scooby – will be completed by Gina Rodriguez as Velma Dinkley.
The hotly-anticipated movie is set to be released in May 2020 and will be the first time Scooby has hit the big screen since 2004’s ‘Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed’, which followed on from 2002’s ‘Scooby-Doo’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Rock’s ‘Saw’ reboot will begin filming next week.
It was previously announced that the 54-year-old comedian-and-actor has partnered with Lionsgate to create “a really intense and twisted” re-imagining of the $1 billion horror franchise, which consists of eight feature films and was created by James Wan and Leigh Whannell.
Now, the new film’s director Darren Lynn Bousman – who previously helmed ‘Saw II’, ‘Saw III’ and ‘Saw IV’ – has announced that production on the horror will begin in “just a few days” and has teased that “no one is ready” for the “insanity” in the forthcoming reboot.
Bousman, 40, posted on Twitter: “Start shooting the new Saw film in just a few days. Something I never thought I be typing again! Gotta be honest. No one is ready for the insanity about to bleed out on screen!”
The original series follows psychopathic serial killer John Kramer, known as the ‘Jigsaw Killer’ or ‘Jigsaw’, who traps his victims in horrifically perilous situations that he calls “games” to test their will to live through physical and psychological torment in a bid to rehabilitate them for their perceived sins.
Announcing the reboot, Rock said: “I’ve been a fan of ‘Saw’ since the first film in 2004. I am excited by the opportunity to take this to a really intense and twisted new place.”
The Lionsgate motion picture group chairman Joe Drake, added: “This upcoming film will still be as mind-bending and intense as all the previous ‘Saw’ films. Chris conceived this idea and it will be completely reverential to the legacy of the material while reinvigorating the brand with his wit, creative vision and passion for this classic horror franchise.”
The remake is slated for release on Halloween 2020 and the screenplay will be penned by Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg, who wrote the script for the eight instalment of the franchise ‘Jigsaw’, based on a story by Rock.
