Jill Halfpenny joins Dark Mon£y cast

OHMYGOSSIP — Jill Halfpenny has joined the cast of ‘Dark Mon£y’.
The former ‘Waterloo Road’ star will appear alongside Babou Ceesay, Rebecca Front, Susan Wokoma, Olive Gray, Ellen Thomas, and former ‘EastEnders’ actor Gary Beadle in the thought-provoking four-part BBC One drama, which is written by Levi David Addai.
The drama will tell the fictional story of the Mensah family whose world is turned upside down when their youngest son Isaac (Babou) reveals he was abused by a renowned filmmaker while in Hollywood shooting a movie.
When asked what attracted her to the role, Jill said: “It was letting the audience see moment by moment what those people have to go through, and not just those things that we see on TV when someone walks out of a law court and is really happy or really sad.
“Let’s go all the way back to the very beginning and show the devastation that happens.”
In the drama, the family accept a substantial pay-off to keep quiet and plan to use the money to start a new life.
They also hope to avoid the publicity of pressing charges against a celebrity, but cost of staying silent could be too high.
Levi believes the drama will create plenty of debate between viewers, and he hopes it can lead to some people involved in similar real-life incidents “finding closure”.
He said: “I know for sure there will be a lot of debate, because you put yourselves in the parents’ shoes and ask yourself would you do that, and each decision that the parents make will stir up a lot of debate.
“I didn’t have a fixed answer on what is the right or wrong way to deal with this, I have a moral guide where I don’t believe that accepting money for a wrong is the way forward – it’s not a judgement on people that do accept money, but it just doesn’t sit well for me.
“However, fortunately, I have never been in that position so it’s been really interesting to explore that through these characters.
“Drama can reach a lot of people. Maybe there are people out there who have accepted money, who are dealing with regret or guilt and may see this, and see some sort of hope that there is still a way of finding closure.
“Maybe it will make people think twice about using pay-offs as a method of controlling people.
“I’m unsure, but I know for sure it will make people talk a lot and debate the decisions that the family makes.”

Megan Barton-Hanson votes Amy Hart out

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan Barton-Hanson wants Amy Hart to be kicked off ‘Love Island’.
The former contestant believes Amy’s partner Curtis Pritchard deserves better and she hopes Amy leaves the villa so that he has a chance with someone else.
Writing in The Sun, she said: “I wanted Amy to go so that Curtis could have a fresh start. She isn’t bringing anything to the villa. Curtis is such a nice, forgiving, placid person.
“He wants to be the voice of reason, but she’s very b****y and if you get on her wrong side you’re completely f***ed. She’s patronising towards him and can be manipulative if she wants to.
“With Curtis, what you see is what you get. He just wants to have fun. She seemed so lovely at first. Whether it’s self-doubt or insecurity, it comes across a bit vicious and b***y.”
And Megan also blasted Amy for how she treated her friend Lucie Donlan.
She said: “The whole Lucie situation is still fresh in my mind and I just don’t think she’s a nice person. I know people have been accusing Amy of gaslighting, but I don’t think I’d go as far as to say that.”
Meanwhile, ousted contestant Callum Macleod recently backed Curtis and Amy to win ‘Love Island’.
The aircraft engineer was the first contestant to leave the show after failing to find love but he believes Curtis and Amy will go the distance.
Asked who he wanted to see win the competition, he said: “Definitely Curtis and Amy – they’re so well-suited, it’s like they’ve been together for ages already.
“You could definitely see them working on the outside. I hope they do. They’re both really good people.”
Speaking about Curtis, Amy has said: “He’s handsome, he’s funny, he treats me like an absolute princess. Coming into the villa, I thought I would be on the sidelines. I never thought I’d find someone this early.”

Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey tie the knot

OHMYGOSSIP — Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey have tied the knot.
The ‘Love Island’ 2016 winners – who picked up the £50,000 cash prize after emerging victorious from the show – married in an intimate ceremony in front of family, friends and their toddler son Freddie on Friday (28.06.19).
Their spokesperson told The Sun: “I can confirm that the couple have got married in a beautiful ceremony yesterday. They were surrounded by family and friends and are still elated after their special day.”
Speaking about their wedding preparations, Cara previously told OK! magazine: “Nathan has been amazing, he has been like a superhero, running around doing everything, doing all the last minute calls.
“I’m a weirdo like that, I don’t like talking on the phone – I’ve always been like that, I don’t know why! So Nathan’s been making the last minute calls.
“We had our final checks with the wedding planners and then we decided to go to Portugal for the week to visit Nathan’s aunt and spend some time with our friends and their children.
“It was so good to get away and have some proper family time.”
Although the pair split briefly after Cara found out she was pregnant, they soon reunited and Nathan proposed in the ‘Love Island’ villa in 2018.
Cara said: “It was so romantic that he proposed in the ‘Love Island’ villa. This is where we met – we’ve come full circle.”
Nathan added: “I brought her back to where we met and took her on a little treasure hunt around the villa to different places which meant something to us.”

Sinitta doesn’t think Amanda Holden’s row with Phillip Schofield with bother Simon Cowell

OHMYGOSSIP — Sinitta says Simon Cowell will have “no issue” with Amanda Holden and Phillip Schofield’s feud.
The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge recently took a cheeky swipe at Phillip by naming him as one of the things she wouldn’t want to find in her house, fuelling circulating rumours that there are tensions between the pair who, on occasions, presented ‘This Morning’ together.
Commenting on the drama, Sinitta doesn’t think her former flame Simon will take any action, telling the Mirror: “The fact that Amanda is being trolled on Twitter is despicable and disgusting.
“She is a national treasure and has a heart of gold. She has the best sense of humour. I know Amanda personally and she works hard.
“Will Simon sack her because of her spat with Phillip Schofield? Absolutely not. She is brilliant at her job. She has worked hard to get where she is.”
She described the talent show boss as “clever and loyal”, adding that he won’t get in the middle of the row between the stars.
She said: “Simon is clever and loyal and he is not going to get between some stupid spat between her and Phil. He is much bigger than that.”
Amanda was previously the favourite to step in for Holly Willoughby, Phillip’s regular ‘This Morning’ co-host, at the end of last year when she went to Australia to present ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ with Declan Donnelly in place of his regular co-star Ant McPartlin, who was taking time out of his showbiz career to recover from alcohol dependency.
However, the job eventually went to Rochelle Humes and Amanda was axed from presenting on the programme.

James Buckley has skin-eating mites in his eyes

OHMYGOSSIP — James Buckley has skin-eating bugs in his eyes.
The ‘Inbetweeners’ star – who played Jay Cartwright in the E4 comedy – has had a check-up at the opticians, and he revealed his vision has become blurred because of the demodex mites.
He’s quoted by The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column as saying: “I went to the opticians because my eyes are failing, one eye is going bad. I haven’t been to the opticians for 21 years.
“The news that I got – which was worse than I could have ever imagined – was that I was told another reason why my eyes might be blurred is ‘that you’ve got a mite in both of your eyes’.
“The optician saw my face straightaway as he said it and went, ‘It’s not as uncommon as you think, loads of people have it.’ ”
The 31-year-old actor – who was told he has to use prescription wipes every day for a month – admitted he swore at the optician when he found out what was wrong.
He said: “I think I mouthed ‘Jesus Christ’ or something like that. I know I said the word f**k to an optician, I just wanted some glasses and now you’re telling me there is a bug leeching off my eyes.”
Meanwhile, James previously revealed he had to “google” himself to find out his age when he went for the check-up.
Sharing a screenshot of his search, he wrote on Instagram: “Sitting in an opticians waiting for an eye exam. I couldn’t remember if I was 31 or 32. Had to google myself. This isn’t a joke. I wish it was.”

Maisie Williams cast in new Sky comedy

OHMYGOSSIP — Maisie Williams has been cast in comedy series ‘Two Weeks To Live’.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ actress has been confirmed for the upcoming Sky original show – currently under a working title – which will focus on a trio of misfits caught up in danger after a prank goes badly wrong.
She said: “[I’m] looking forward to getting into something new. I think Two Weeks to Live has really great potential and I want to make something incredible with this wonderful team!”
Maisie, 22, will star as Kim Noakes, who was raised in isolation and taught how to survive after her father’s suspicious death.
After leaving her rural retreat for the first time, she goes to the city on a mission to honour her late dad, before meeting brothers Nicky and Dave in a local pub.
The trio soon find themselves with a huge bag of stolen money, and they have to set out on the run from the police and a murderous gangster.
Jon Mountague, Sky’s director of comedy, added: “With Maisie Williams leading from the front, ‘Two Weeks to Live’ is to die for. Bold, British and very, very original.”
The six part comedy – set to air on Sky1 and NOW TV next year – has been penned by ‘Cheat’ writer Gaby Hull.
Maisie recently admitted she is “constantly craving” an imaginative and exciting script to makes her “gasp” after being spoiled by her time on ‘Game of Thrones’.
She previously said: “I read other scripts now and think, ‘This is trash!’ The stories are just not complex. And then sometimes you read a script which is definitely like 30 pages too long and you think, ‘But there’s still no twist!’
“It’s sometimes really difficult to find something that surprises you. I think that’s what the show has always done so well.
“And you can’t do that sort of writing unless you’re good at writing because otherwise it just becomes sort of nonsensical and you’re just being shocking for the sake of being shocking rather than writing something that’s believable.
“I’m constantly craving something that makes me gasp as I read.”

Helena Bonham Carter to join The Enola Holmes Mysteries

OHMYGOSSIP — Helena Bonham Carter is set to join Millie Bobby Brown in a new Sherlock Holmes film franchise.
The 53-year-old actress is set to star alongside the ‘Stranger Things’ star in a host of movies based on Nancy Springer’s young adult fiction book series ‘The Enola Holmes Mysteries’ with Harry Bradbeer at the helm.
‘The Enola Holmes Mysteries’ tells the story of the titular younger sister of Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes who is also a detective and, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Carter will play Enola’s mother and Jack Thorne has penned the script for the new film.
There are a total of six novels in the series, ‘The Case of the Missing Marquess’, ‘The Case of the Left-Handed Lady’, ‘The Case of the Bizarre Bouquets’, ‘The Case of the Peculiar Pink Fan’, ‘The Case of the Cryptic Crinoline’ and ‘The Case of the Gypsy Goodbye’.
Brown, 13, developed a relationship with Legendary Entertainment after recently making her big screen debut as Madison Russell in ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’.
Legendary are producing with Brown and her sister Paige Brown via the duo’s PCMA Productions shingle.
Carter will next be seen playing Princess Margaret on Netflix’s ‘The Crown’ and her role comes as the whole cast of the original two seasons have been replaced, as the show moves ahead in time to show a later time in Queen Elizabeth II’s life.
Claire Foy has been replaced by Olivia Coleman in the lead role, whilst Tobias Menzies will take over from Matt Smith as Prince Philip.
And Helena recently revealed she was “terrified” about taking on the role because of the pressure to follow on from the “successful” first two series.

Terrifier 2 raises $100k for ‘mass casualties’ scene

OHMYGOSSIP — The makers of ‘Terrifier 2’ have raised $100,000 of additional funding for the film in less than 24 hours.
Damien Leone will soon be bringing murderous Art the Clown back to the big screen in his forthcoming follow-up to the brutal 2016 slasher film ‘Terrifier’ and although the project was independently funded, the filmmaker recently decided to raise more money for a specific scene in the film that involves “mass casualties and the destruction of its location”.
A campaign on Indiegogo asked fans to donate $50,000 for “the construction of a large set, tons of special effects, stunts and makeup fx” and within 24 hours of the campaign’s launch, the $50,000 goal was surpassed and at the time of writing, $100,102 has been raised for the film by 571 backers.
Writing on the Indiegogo page for ‘Terrifier 2’, Leone previously said: “Without beating around the bush, I wrote an EPIC scene in the screenplay for ‘Terrifier 2’ that we currently do not have enough money to shoot.
“Without spoiling all the juicy, gory details, the scene will involve mass casualties and the destruction of its location, but it is the context of the scene that truly makes it so original.
“We’re aiming to create a scene so shocking and iconic that people will talk about it for years to come.
“Imagine if Art the Clown was in charge of the prom mayhem in Carrie … meets David Lynch … meets Maniac …. just saying.
“If we do in fact reach our goal, the money will go towards the construction of a large set, tons of special effects, stunts and makeup fx … you know … blood and guts!”
The original film follows the murderous rampage of the psychopathic killer, played by David Howard Thornton, on one Halloween night and the sequel will follow a brother and sister as they are stalked by Art the Clown on another fateful Halloween night in Miles County.

Daisy Ridley’s Star Wars story ends with Episode IX

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Ridley has confirmed she will not be returning as Rey in the next ‘Star Wars’ trilogy.
The 27-year-old actress first played Rey in J.J. Abrams’ 2015 film ‘The Force Awakens’ and Rian Johnson’s 2017 follow-up ‘The Last Jedi’ and she will be seen again as the character in this year’s ‘The Rise of Skywalker’.
Ridley has now revealed that her story will end when this current trilogy wraps up and she will not be a part of ‘Game of Thrones’ showrunners Dan Weiss and David Benioff’s new series of movies in the ‘Star Wars’ universe.
Speaking to Buzz Feed, she said: “I mean, I can say I’m not in the next trilogy. No … They always said it was going to be a separate story. So I’m not [in it], no.”
Abrams, 53, recently took to Twitter to confirm that shooting on the next instalment of the sci-fi franchise has wrapped ahead of its December 2019 release.
Alongside a shot of Daisy, John Boyega and Oscar Isaac embracing each other, the director wrote: “It feels impossible, but today wrapped photography on Episode IX. There is no adequate way to thank this truly magical crew and cast. I’m forever indebted to you all.”
The movie – which wraps up the current trilogy and the Skywalker saga – will feature scenes with the Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa, despite the fact that she sadly died at the age of 60 in 2016.
Abrams admits he made it his goal to give the iconic ‘Star Wars’ character a fitting send-off and was able to do so in ‘Episode IX’ by using unused scenes from the previous two instalments which were shot before her passing.
He said: “Finding a truly satisfying conclusion to the Skywalker saga without [Carrie] eluded us. We were never going to recast, or use a CG character. With the support and blessing from her daughter, Billie Lourd, we have found a way to honour Carrie’s legacy and role as Leia in ‘Episode IX’ by using unseen footage we shot together in ‘Episode VII’.”

Gordon Ramsay lands six-part cooking adventure series

OHMYGOSSIP — Gordon Ramsay has landed a six-part cooking adventure series with National Geographic.
The 52-year-old chef – who has fronted a number of programmes on ITV and Channel 4 over the years – is set to embark on a fresh challenge around the globe in his upcoming show ‘Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted’, where he will meet with indigenous people to learn about different cultures, dishes and flavours unique to each location.
And the much-anticipated series, which airs later this year, will see Ramsay “ditch the chef whites” and “get hands on” to “harvest native ingredients”.
In statement, he said: “It has been an amazing journey travelling off the beaten path with National Geographic and connecting with locals to learn and share incredible stories of unique traditions, delicacies and the extreme lengths it takes to harvest native ingredients.
“I have learned way more filming this series than I have in the last 10 years. I’m on an epic adventure travelling to the ends of the earth. Ditching the chef whites and getting hands on. I’m on the search of culinary inspiration – this is uncharted territory for me. ”
The ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ star will be travelling to Peru, Laos and Morocco, Hawaii, Alaska and New Zealand, all while challenging himself with a local food legend by his side and putting his newfound skills to the test as they cook a feast together for the locals.

Love Island’s Maura Higgins unleashes hell at Tom Walker

OHMYGOSSIP — Maura Higgins unleashes fury on Tom Walker after she discovers he called her “OTT” in Thursday’s episode of ‘Love Island’ (27.06.19).
The 28-year-old ring girl is determined to uncover the truth about certain comments the 28-year-old hunk – who she is currently coupled up with on the ITV2 show – made about her to fellow Islander Jordan Hames, after he admitted he feels “cringe” when he’s around Maura because she’s “attention seeking” on Tuesday (25.06.19) night’s episode.
Pulling Tom to one side, Maura insinuates she is aware of what he has said and challenges him about the comments he has made.
She says: “The first few days that you were in, I was like, I couldn’t work it out and then I realised ‘oh my god, he must have really relaxed’ because you were like a different person. And then I heard comments about you saying that you weren’t sure if we were compatible.”
As Tom attempts to talk his way out of the situation, Maura interjects: “So you didn’t say that?”
However the model continues to plead ignorance and insisted his words have been “misconstrued”.
He argues: “Say what? I’m not saying either way because I still don’t know you. I’ve not said to anyone that we’re not compatible. It’s been misconstrued.
“The bottom line is, we’re getting to know each other. I’m enjoying spending time with you, I’m enjoying the couple of nights we’ve had in bed, it’s been fun and I’m looking forward to getting to know you.”
She adds: “I just wanted to know, was there something else said?”
Tom retorts: “It’s been relayed to you in a negative way when it’s not as black and white as that, it’s the fact that we’re still getting to know each other and it’s very early stages.”
Later seeking counsel with good friend Lucie Donlan, Maura decides she should speak to Jordan to get to the bottom of what Tom has said.
Jordan reveals: “Obviously it puts me in an awkward position. I told Anna and I know you’re close with Anna but I’m not a liar so if you ask me I’m going to tell you.
“He basically just said that he feels like sometimes you’re a bit OTT and that he said you might be a bit of an attention seeker in group situations. That’s what he said.”
Furious at her suspicions being proven correct, Maura wastes no time in seeking Tom out in the garden, before unleashing her fury.
She says: “Why weren’t you honest with me? Am I an attention seeker? Am I OTT? Do you honestly think that I want to speak to you.
“You’ve nothing to say for yourself because you know you’re a bare faced liar. Why did you get into bed with me last night and kiss me last night if you think I’m an attention seeker. How dare you say those things about me.”

Les Dennis had ‘impostor syndrome’ with RSC

OHMYGOSSIP — Les Dennis had “impostor syndrome” on his first day with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
The veteran entertainer – who hosted game show ‘Family Fortunes’ for 15 years until 2002 – admitted joining the prestigious organisation was a new step for his long career on stage and screen, but he was quickly put at ease by ‘Men Behaving Badly’ actress Caroline Quentin.
Appearing on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’, he said: “Yeah, on the first day of rehearsals, impostor syndrome – I think we all suffer from it.
“I got there on that first day thinking before I went in, I’m the only one here who hasn’t done the big drama school thing, who hasn’t been trained.
“I’ve done all the variety and the game shows, and then the theatre, but I’m not trained and I’m going to be with all these Shakespearean actors.
“I walked in and the first person I saw was Caroline Quentin and she said ‘I’m really nervous, I haven’t been trained’, and I said ‘neither have I!’ She started off as a dancer, so that put me straight at ease. It’s a wonderful company to be part of.”
The 65-year-old star is currently starring in Restoration tragedy ‘Venice Preserved’, while he has a “cameo role” in comedy ‘The Provoked Wife’.
Les, 65, admitted there can be an uphill battle to get respect from critics, despite his experience treading the boards.
He added: “Years and years of stage and theatre. To come from being an entertainer, it takes a while to be respected and taken seriously. You’re always ‘a revelation’ in the reviews.
“But then, finally, to get to the Royal Shakespeare Company, which is amazing… To get there, suddenly, it’s like getting a blue tick on Twitter. I can put it on my passport – I’m an actor.”

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury go on date

OHMYGOSSIP — Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury are set to go on their first date since coupling up on Thursday’s episode of ‘Love Island’ (27.06.19).
The 20-year-old social media influencer is currently paired up with the hunky boxer – who is the brother of Tyson Fury – on the ITV2 reality show, and the loved-up duo will have their first opportunity to spend some alone time together outside of the villa, when a surprise text arrives telling them they have to leave for a date and it seems they’ll be on horseback.
The text reads: “Tommy and Molly-Mae you’re going on a date, please get ready to leave the villa #saddleup #toohottotrot (sic)”
An anxious Tommy tells the Beach Hut: “I’ve never rode a horse before, so I’m slightly nervous if it is that.”
With the loved-up couple out of the villa, the other Islanders take the opportunity to speculate on Tommy’s friendship with 21-year-old surfer Lucie Donlan, and her recent revelation on Wednesday (26.06.19) night’s episode that she would “never say never” to a future romance with him.
After a catch up with Amy Hart, Curtis Pritchard tells the boys about Lucie’s comment.
He says: “I have heard something through the grapevine, that somebody asked Lucie ‘would you go there with Tommy, is that a complete closed door?’ and she said ‘never say never.’ ”
An unimpressed Danny Williams responds: “In my opinion, that’s disrespectful. Whether you feel it or not, keep that to yourself.”
Anton Danyluk adds: “I would actually be quite disappointed if that was the case. The impression I got was the next person she would be open to is someone that comes in that was 100% her type, and is very compatible with her.”
Dubious as to Lucie’s motives, Danny continues: “I was under the impression that’s the only reason she was still here. Now after that comment, is she just waiting on the sidelines for something to go wrong?”
Lucie meanwhile is growing frustrated by the boundaries imposed on her relationship with Tommy and during a chat with the girls, she insists she is not going to “stop talking” to the boxer.
She says: “I’m not going to stop talking to him or stop acting like I did before around him, because I think that’s not really fair. It’s not normal. I don’t know if it’s him or her that’s come to this agreement. It’s weird to put an agreement on a friendship.”
Elaborating further in the Beach Hut, Lucie declares the new boundaries have made her want to talk to Tommy more.
She adds: “The fact that there’s boundaries on the friendship now between me and Tommy just annoys me more so I feel like I just want to go and talk to him more now because that’s just how I am which is bad, but I think that’s just weird.”

Arabella Chi and Tom Walker get Love Island dumping

OHMYGOSSIP — Arabella Chi and Tom Walker have been dumped ‘Love Island’.
The 28-year-old model and the gym-enthusiastic hunk were given the boot from the sun-soaked villa by their fellow islanders in Thursday (27.06.19) night’s episode after the public decided that Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague, Lucie Donlan and Anton Danyluk and Michael Griffiths and Amber Gill were the favourite couples.
The saved pairs were then divided up into two teams – the girls and the boys – with Tommy, Anton and Michael deciding which girl to dump from the island and Molly-Mae, Lucie and Amber choosing which boy to ditch from the villa.
Arabella’s departure leaves Danny Williams – who left Yewande Biala for the blonde stunner two days after her arrival – on his own and she’s hoping he’ll leave behind her because otherwise he’ll “jeopardise” their relationship.
Arabella said: “I knew that I was in danger because I was the newest islander. If there was one person they would miss the least it would be me.
“I was still surprised though. I think the boys thought the girls would choose Danny, because of the Yewande situation.
“I don’t know if Danny will stay now I’ve gone. That decision is with him. He was gutted when I left and said I had given him the best week of his life. It’s up to him though. If he does stay he might be scared of jeopardising things with us.”
Tom’s exit leave Irish beauty Maura Higgins available to meet someone else after they fell out over him telling his friend Jordan Hames that she’s “OTT.”
And despite angering his fellow islanders with his remarks, which he later lied about and denied, Tom didn’t expect to get the axe from the show.
He explained: “I didn’t expect to go. We knew something was going to happen. Caroline [Flack, the host] hadn’t dropped in for a while.
“But I thought maybe some new guys were coming in. I didn’t see a dumping like that coming. I thought it was between me and Danny when it came to it.”
Although the islanders were sad to see their friends go, they have the opportunity to meet some new people as 12 new faces – six boys and six girls – will be joining them in the villa tomorrow (28.06.19) night.

EastEnders’ Tony Clay had Max Bowden ‘worry’

OHMYGOSSIP — Tony Clay was worried he “might not get on with” co-star Max Bowden.
The ‘EastEnders’ actors’ characters have hooked up on screen as lovers Callum ‘Halfway’ Highway and Ben Mitchell, and the soap star’s concerns were dismissed once the pair established their “lovely chemistry” on set.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, he said: “With Max, there’s always going to be this worry at the start that you might not get on with the other person, but me and him have a great relationship.
“We have a lovely chemistry and, although we make each other laugh a lot, there’s always a level of professionalism there when we have big, intense scenes.”
Tony – whose character is engaged to Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty), but is also involved with Max’s alter-ego Ben – has been enjoying the fan reaction to his latest plot.
He added: “I’m grateful to be sharing this ‘Ballum’ journey with Max, especially since we are both relatively new to ‘EastEnders’.
“We feel as if we are part of a movement here, and hearing the fan reaction is just great.
“Everybody wants to know they are doing a good job, and the response has given us that self-belief. It’s a beautiful thing.”
Tony has been well looked after since he made his debut on the soap on New Year’s Day last year, and he believes some of the stars thought he might need taking care of when they saw the “mad haircut” he got for the role.
He previously said: “They’re like my surrogate ‘EastEnders’ family. Kellie [Bright] is such a warm and lovely person, and has really looked out for me.
“To be fair, everyone has been my mentor since I’ve been on the show. I think people took one look at my mad haircut and thought, ‘We need to look out for him.’ ”

Tamer Hassan’s daughter Belle Hassan joins Love Island

OHMYGOSSIP — Tamer Hassan’s daughter has joined ‘Love Island’ alongside 11 other new Islanders as Casa Amor is to open its doors once more.
The ‘Football Factory’ star’s kid Belle Hassan, 21, will be among the new arrivals on tonight’s (28.06.19) show, and her father has warned her he will be watching “every detail” when she is in the villa.
She said: “My dad is an actor, Tamer Hassan. He’s been in ‘Football Factory’, ‘The Business’, ‘Game of Thrones’ – he is my link to the famous world.
“He is a very supportive dad, he is like my best friend and is always there for me.
“He’s told me to be myself but has also warned me, ‘I’m watching and I’m going to be seeing every detail.’ ”
Tamer starred opposite Danny Dyer in ‘Football Factory’, so Belle knows the ‘EastEnders’ actor’s daughter Dani Dyer – who won last year’s ‘Love Island’ with Jack Fincham – from childhood.
She added: “Because he was in a film with Danny Dyer, I’ve met Dani Dyer when we were kids.”
Other newbies on the island include England footballer Ben Chilwell’s ex-girlfriend Joanna Chimonides.
The 22-year-old recruitment consultant said: “At the end of the day we are all in the villa for the same reason – to meet someone – so some times you might have to tread on toes but the same thing happens outside of the villa sometimes too.”
Fellow new female arrivals include 24-year-old model Jourdan Riane, 29-year-old hostess Nabila Badda, and 23-year-old business developer Lavena Back.
Six new lads have also joined the ITV2 dating show, including 22-year-old pro footballer Dennon Lewis, 21-year-old student Stevie Bradley, and 21-year-old bathroom salesman Dan Rose, who has set his sights on Lucie Donlan and Maura Higgins.
He said: “I do fancy Amber but I know she seems loved up with Michael.
“I’ll test the water with it though. Then I’ll probably go for Lucie and Maura.”
The guys are expected to head to second villa Casa Amor to meet the current girls on the island, while the new ladies will go into the main villa with the current crop of lads.
