OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Theroux is returning to the Westboro Baptist Church for a third time.
The 49-year-old documentary maker is set to head back to Kansas to spend time with the notorious Christian ministry – which has infamously picketed military funerals and other high-profile events with homophobic and provocative placards – and find out how the organisation has changed since founder and figurehead Pastor Fred Phelps, aka Gramps, passed away in 2014.
The church has been rocked by a number of high-profile defections, including Gramps’ grandaughter Megan, and rumours about mental illness and excommunication surrounding the pastor’s final days, but it has also found some new members and Louis is looking forward to showing the changes in a new documentary.
The filmmaker – who previously spent time with the church in 2006 and again in 2011 – said: “I am always interested in how people change over time – both physically and in their outlook – and even more so when they are involved in lifestyles that are somehow wrong-headed or self-sabotaging.
“With our unique access to the inner workings of the Westboro Baptist Church over the last 13 years we’ve been able to track the changes in an extreme religious group from the inside, and also from the perspective of its ex-members.
“We’ve been able to tell a story about indoctrination, where it comes from, how it is enforced – but also about deradicalisation, and the way in which a handful of those who were formerly zealots have managed to break free and take a kinder less hateful view of the world.
“In particular, in this, our third visit to Topeka, I was curious to see how the Church was faring after the loss of the church founder, Pastor Fred Phelps, who died in 2014.
“Gramps’ angry and bigoted outlook had been the bedrock of Westboro’s practises and I was curious to see whether his death might have caused any kind of break-up or re-evaluation within the church, especially since there had been rumours that Fred Phelps might have had some kind of change of heart at the end of his life.”
And Louis admitted he feels “lucky” to have been allowed back by the group.
He added: “It was exciting going back for thirds. For their own reasons – to do with spreading their twisted take on the gospels – Westboro let me back in. For my part it was a chance to see the strange machinations of psychology, religion, and social conditioning. I feel lucky to have had the chance to conduct this kind of longitudinal documentary making.”
The 60-minute documentary will air on BBC 2 and network bosses are excited for it to air.

OHMYGOSSIP — Billie Faiers was “in shock” over Phillip Schofield’s “rude” questions on ‘This Morning’.
The 29-year-old reality star – who married Greg Shepherd in front of 100 guests in the Maldives in March – appeared on the show earlier this year alongside her sister Sam Faiers and she and her sibling were stunned when the host started quizzing her about the cost of her nuptials.
She told Britain’s OK! magazine: “I was in shock. Prior to our appearance, I’d been very clear that I don’t talk about money. It’s rude and it’s nobody’s business but ours.
“They were trying to insinuate that we got the wedding for free, which is so far from the truth. We saved for our wedding for years.”
During the interview, 57-year-old Phillip claimed the wedding would have cost around £229,000 and asked how much discount she’d received on the celebrations.
Phillip said: “My God, you must be earning beautifully to be able to do this.
“This is the Kuramathi resort in the Maldives. So we had a look, if you were to stay there next Saturday it would be £650 a night.
“That would be £4,588 for a week for the superior beach villa. The whole week for 100 guests – £229,000. So you must have got a deal there.”
The ‘Mummy Diaries’ stars giggled awkwardly before Sam said: “Not much of a deal.”
Phillip again asked if it cost “£229 grand”, and Billie replied: “Yeah it wasn’t quite that.
“Because there was a large group of us we had the beach houses and split them in two.
“Two families would be in one beach house. It really helped us out with the rooms and stuff.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Tony Robinson has cast doubt on a possible ‘Blackadder’ return.
The 72-year-old star portrayed dogsbody Baldrick in the historical sitcom – which aired from 1983 to 1989 – but he has appeared to play down speculation that the show could make a comeback.
In response to a tweet from a fan who asked if it was true the programme is “making a return”, and whether he was excited about football team Bristol City making an “imminent announcement” about signing defender Tomas Kalas, Tony wrote: “One of these rumours is probably true, the other isn’t!! (sic)”
Adding fuel to the fire, just hours later, City signed Kalas.
When asked about the possibility of the show’s return, a spokesman for Tony told Yahoo UK: “It sounds lovely but I’m afraid neither we nor Tony know anything about this.”
This comes after co-creator Richard Curtis admitted he is “always hoping” the programme – which starred Rowan Atkinson as anti-hero Edmund Blackadder in all four series – will return at some point.
Last week, he said: “The thing about ‘Blackadder’ was, it was a young man’s show criticising older people, saying how stupid those in authority were.
“So I did once think, ‘If we ever did anything again, it should be Blackadder as a teacher in a university, about how much we hate young people.’
“I’m always hoping Rowan and I will do one last live show and bring on Blackadder for a 10-minute bit.”
Each series covered a different period of history, including the Middle Ages, Elizabethan England, the Georgian Era and a run of episodes focused on the trenches during World War One.
The cast also featured the likes of Tim McInnerny, Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry and the late Rik Mayall.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Claflin has joined the new Sherlock Holmes film franchise.
Hot off the heels of ‘Killing Eve’ actress Fiona Shaw being added to the cast alongside Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill in the upcoming movies based on Nancy Springer’s young adult fiction book series ‘The Enola Holmes Mysteries’, the ‘Me Before You’ actor is the latest star to sign up for an undisclosed part.
Harry Bradbeer is at the helm of ‘The Enola Holmes Mysteries’, which tells the story of the titular teenage sister (Brown) of Sherlock Holmes (Cavill) and Mycroft Holmes who is also a detective.
There are no details yet on who Shaw will play either.
Jack Thorne has penned the script for the new film and Helena Bonham Carter has also joined the cast as Enola’s mother.
There are a total of six novels in the series, ‘The Case of the Missing Marquess’, ‘The Case of the Left-Handed Lady’, ‘The Case of the Bizarre Bouquets’, ‘The Case of the Peculiar Pink Fan’, ‘The Case of the Cryptic Crinoline’ and ‘The Case of the Gypsy Goodbye’.
Brown, 13, developed a relationship with Legendary Entertainment after recently making her big screen debut as Madison Russell in ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’.
Legendary are producing with Brown and her sister Paige Brown via the duo’s PCMA Productions shingle.
Claflin, 33, has a busy schedule, including a part as Alexander Brock in the upcoming ‘Charlie’s Angels’ reboot and he also plays Oswald Mosley in hit TV series ‘Peaky Blinders’.
Meanwhile, ‘The Hunger Games’ star recently called for men to be given more paternity leave.
Claflin – who has son Pip, three, and daughter Margot, 12 months, with wife Laura Haddock – admitted it was a “trying time” when he was juggling shooting his new movie ‘The Corrupted’ with parenthood and admitted he wished he’d taken more time off work to be with the youngsters.
He said: “I was a new dad and was trying to chase around gangsters in London.”
Asked which was more difficult, he replied: “Definitely the former, having the baby, being the daddy. It’s definitely a trying time being a new father and trying to go back to work.
“I definitely feel, and here I am saying this on air, I feel like men should get more paternity leave.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga, Adele and Annie Lennox have been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science.
The Oscar-winning trio – who have earned the top honour for ‘A Star Is Born’, ‘Skyfall’ and ‘Into The West’ from ‘The Return of the King’ respectively – top a list of 28 influential songwriters, composers and music editors invited into the influential group.
There are joined by fellow Academy Award honourees including ‘Black Panther’ composer Ludwig Goransson and Gaga’s own ‘Shallow’ co-writers Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt.
Meanwhile, two other nominees – ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ songwriter Scott Wittman and ‘A Star Is Born’ music editor Jason Ruder – have also been invited this year.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy McConnell feels “sick” when he looks back at his past mistakes.
The former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star has opened up about his problems with cocaine abuse, describing the Class A drug as “the devil”, and admits he is “so ashamed” by some of his previous actions.
He told The Sun Online: “I feel sick when I look back at myself, I’m so ashamed. I was p***ing money up against the wall to get that buzz. I was only focused on was good looking women and drink.
“Then I was offered cocaine when I was 20 at a party and it took over. I remember the feeling it gave me, it was a buzz.
“I didn’t even start drinking until I was 18 as I was so into my football and fitness but cocaine was easy to fall into as it was everywhere – I didn’t have to go to any lengths to get it as it was so cheap and easy to get. I started using it more and more.”
Jeremy was jailed for 34 days in Christmas 2017 for breaching a community order.
He was previously given a 20-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, after he was found guilty of assaulting then-partner Stephanie Davis.
The 29-year-old model – who has son Caben, two, with his ‘Hollyoaks’ actress ex Stephanie – admitted he was taking cocaine “in excess”, and said his issues led to him feeling “depressed and guilty all the time”.
He added: “After ‘CBB’ I was doing back to back PAs across the country and to maintain my energy and stay out longer I started to use more coke.
“But that was the start of self-sabotage and self-destruction for me. It could have destroyed my whole life.”
Being in prison over Christmas made him realise his plight, and he decided it was time to get his life back on track.
He said: “I was sat there in prison thinking about my [late] mum and dad and what they would be thinking of me.
“I thought about my son Caben, my brother, my friends and family. I just couldn’t bear it. That’s why I sorted myself out.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dani Dyer has advised new ‘Love Island’ stars to try to ignore the “fake, false world” of social media when they leave the villa.
The 23-year-old star – who won the ITV2 dating show last year alongside then-boyfriend Jack Fincham – insists Islanders should “stick to [their] real, true friends” when return to the outside world, and believes they should even avoid social media altogether for the first few days after life on the island.
She said: “Just lay off social media. I would tell them not to look at all for a few days, but they’re gonna look.
[It] is a really good tool, but it can be a fake, false world and everyone is very opinionated.
“Your lives are going to change, especially when you first come out.
“Everyone wants a bit of you. Stick to your real, true friends. Don’t get lost in the world of it. I’ve got my friends who I love and adore.”
Laura is tipping Maura Higgins to win this year’s ‘Love Island’ because the 28-year-old model makes her “belly laugh” with her comments on the show.
She added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I absolutely adore her. She’s such a girl’s girl and she’s got such a strong character and it’s so good when a girl’s funny.
“A girl can go in and be all glitz but Maura makes me belly laugh.”
Dani previously announced she and Jack had split via Instagram, only for the pair to get back together, and she later admitted she had “f***ed up” with the announcement.
She said afterwards: “I’d rather just be honest and say I f***ed up. Can I just do that please? I’m just going to say I f***ed up.
“Obviously, I thought we was over. You have to put things out. It’s not like he didn’t know, he knew we were over at that point. It was horrible, I don’t want to upset anyone, it makes me sad.”
Jack said: “I was in the pub actually, with my mates. Everyone started staring at me with their mouths open.”
But in April, just months after rekindling their relationship, Jack took to his Instagram Stories to confirm he and Dani had split for good.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennie McAlpine has resumed filming on the ‘Coronation Street’ set.
The 35-year-old star’s last scenes as Fiz Stape aired in December, after she had gone on maternity leave to have her second child, Hilda – who arrived in October – and the cobbles favourite returned to Weatherfield on Monday (01.07.19), where she enjoyed a “lovely day” of filming.
Sharing a picture of herself and her on-screen family, including Alan Halsall (Tyrone Dobbs) and Maureen Lipman (Evelyn Plummer), she wrote on Instagram: “Posh tea in the bistro for our homecoming. What a lovely day”
A post on the ‘Coronation Street’ Instagram account shared the same picture to welcome back Jennie and Isabella Flanagan, who plays Fiz’s daughter Hope Stape.
The caption read: “Look who’s back in Weatherfield! ⠀

Last week, Jennie admitted she had started learning lines again ahead of her cobbles comeback, and is hoping it will be “just like riding a bike”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Awkwafina and Jacob Tremblay are in talks for ‘The Little Mermaid’.
The ‘Ocean’s 8’ star and the ‘Room’ actor are both reportedly making deals to voice roles in the upcoming live-action adaptation of the Disney cartoon classic with Awkwafina, 31, set to portray Scuttle, the seagull while the 12-year-old actor will lend his voice to the role of faithful fish friend Flounder.
Rob Marshall, who directed ‘Mary Poppins Returns’, will helm the new movie, which will include original songs from the 1989 animated film, along with new tunes from Lin-Manuel Miranda and Alan Menken.
Lin-Manuel is producing the film along with the director, Marc Platt and John DeLuca, from a script written by David Magee.
Disney is committed to rebooting its classic animations with ‘The Jungle Book’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Aladdin’ and ‘Dumbo’ all hitting cinemas in recent times and ‘The Lion King’ and ‘Snow White’ set to follow, among others.
However, acclaimed composer Alan Menken – who has won Academy Awards for his scores on Disney films ‘The Little Mermaid’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Aladdin’ and ‘Pocahontas’ – recently claimed that despite the string of reboots 1995’s ‘Pocahontas’ probably won’t be remade.
The musician argued that due to “modern sensibilities” it would be difficult to do a retelling of the film, which gives a fictionalised account of a Native American woman of the same name and her historical encounter with Englishman John Smith and the Jamestown settlers that arrived from the Virginia Company.
Awkwafina made her film breakthrough in 2018 with roles in ‘Ocean’s 8’ and ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ and prior to this, the rapper released two studio albums titled ‘Yellow Ranger’ and’ In Fina We Trust’.
Jacob is best known for starring as Jack Newsome alongside Brie Larson in ‘Room’ as well as his role as August Pullman, a child with Treacher Collins syndrome, in the drama ‘Wonder’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Filming has begun on ‘Bill & Ted Face the Music’.
Alex Winter – who will reprise his titular alter-ego Bill S. Preston Esq. in the new film alongside Keanu Reeves as Theodore ‘Ted’ Logan – announced on Monday (01.07.19) that the third instalment of the fantasy teen comedy has begun filming.
Sharing a picture of himself wearing a ‘Wyld Stallyns’ t-shirt, which is a reference to Bill and Ted’s band in the franchise, he said: “Day one. See you on the other side and remember to be excellent @BillandTed3 (sic)”
The movie will feature the duo’s daughters, Thea Preston and Billie Logan, who will be played by Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine, and their wives, who will be portrayed by Jayma Mays and Erinn Hayes.
William Sadler is set to return as Death 28 years after the second instalment of the saga, ‘Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey’, which saw the Grim Reaper challenge Bill the duo in a game for their souls, which the pair ultimately win.
The film’s official Twitter account previously confirmed the casting news in a tweet which read: “For those who have been asking, @Wm_Sadler will totally be reprising his role! (sic)”
An official synopsis for the movie teased the appearance of a “few music legends” as the two friends set out to save “life as we know it”.
It stated: “Yet to fulfil their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure, when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe. Along the way, they will be helped by their families, old friends and a few music legends.”
‘Bill & Ted Face The Music’ – which follows the two loveable slackers who travel through time – is scheduled for release in summer 2020 and sees Dean Parisot directing a screenplay by original writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon.
Steven Soderbergh is executive producing along with R. Scott Reid, John Ryan Jr., Scott Fischer and John Santilli.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jill Halfpenny has joined the cast of ‘Dark Mon£y’.
The former ‘Waterloo Road’ star will appear alongside Babou Ceesay, Rebecca Front, Susan Wokoma, Olive Gray, Ellen Thomas, and former ‘EastEnders’ actor Gary Beadle in the thought-provoking four-part BBC One drama, which is written by Levi David Addai.
The drama will tell the fictional story of the Mensah family whose world is turned upside down when their youngest son Isaac (Babou) reveals he was abused by a renowned filmmaker while in Hollywood shooting a movie.
When asked what attracted her to the role, Jill said: “It was letting the audience see moment by moment what those people have to go through, and not just those things that we see on TV when someone walks out of a law court and is really happy or really sad.
“Let’s go all the way back to the very beginning and show the devastation that happens.”
In the drama, the family accept a substantial pay-off to keep quiet and plan to use the money to start a new life.
They also hope to avoid the publicity of pressing charges against a celebrity, but cost of staying silent could be too high.
Levi believes the drama will create plenty of debate between viewers, and he hopes it can lead to some people involved in similar real-life incidents “finding closure”.
He said: “I know for sure there will be a lot of debate, because you put yourselves in the parents’ shoes and ask yourself would you do that, and each decision that the parents make will stir up a lot of debate.
“I didn’t have a fixed answer on what is the right or wrong way to deal with this, I have a moral guide where I don’t believe that accepting money for a wrong is the way forward – it’s not a judgement on people that do accept money, but it just doesn’t sit well for me.
“However, fortunately, I have never been in that position so it’s been really interesting to explore that through these characters.
“Drama can reach a lot of people. Maybe there are people out there who have accepted money, who are dealing with regret or guilt and may see this, and see some sort of hope that there is still a way of finding closure.
“Maybe it will make people think twice about using pay-offs as a method of controlling people.
“I’m unsure, but I know for sure it will make people talk a lot and debate the decisions that the family makes.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ash Palmisciano is “happy” his ‘Emmerdale’ character is helping with “awkward” transgender conversations.
The 29-year-old star plays transgender character Matty Barton – who was previously known as Moira Dingle’s (Natalie J. Robb) daughter Hannah Barton – on the ITV soap, and he is pleased to have helped out a school pupil who has come out as trans.
Ash shared a message from a student, which read: “Heyo I’ve recently came out as trans to everyone at school and today one boy comes up to me and goes “oh your like the guy from emmerdale right?” [crying laughing emoji] (sic)”
And Ash has reassured the pupil, admitting it can be a “scary” time but he is glad Matty has helped out.
He wrote on Twitter: “Thats right I got you!Only a few people in the world happen to be Trans!So it’s really hard explainin it when ur growin up Especially with little help out there. It can be scary but Just Know there’s nothin more ‘normal’ than bein u, happy the character helps those awks convos x (sic)”
Ash previously admitted he had “no role models” while growing up as a transgender teenager.
He said: “I spent a long time when I was growing up being really confused because there were no role models out there.
“There was no one to reference. As an actor it has been a great opportunity to work in such a high-profile soap. To be able to play that out in a soap which reaches seven million a night is a dream come true.
“Sometimes it can be hard to go back to those awkward moments. But I’m past all that, I’m an actor. And Hopefully, it can help other people.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jake Gyllenhaal found Marvel’s “approach” difficult when he started filming ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’.
The 38-year-old actor is set to portray supervillain Mysterio, also known as Quentin Beck, in the film, who paints himself to Peter Parker (Tom Holland) as a heroic refugee from a different dimension and confessed that he related to his character feeling isolated in the movie as he himself was “caught off guard” by the heavy use of improvisation when he first started work.
In an interview with Deadline, he said: “I was caught off guard by the approach when I first got to the set and we started filming.
“The way Marvel makes movies is something I wasn’t fully prepared to handle. At the beginning I was really wondering what I had got myself into.”
The ‘Donnie Darko’ star went on to insist that although there is pressure attached to Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films, the studio have “made an art out of it” as President Kevin Feige “trusts his instincts”.
He said: “It’s a high-risk, high-reward approach and they’ve made an art out of it.
“It starts with Kevin Feige and his command of the material. He understands the [Marvel Comics source material] so well and trusts his instincts in the moment. But it’s different than the filmmaking approach I know.”
The ‘Nightcrawler’ actor added that than the film’s $160 million budget means the “stakes are so high” and admitted that he did feel “on the edge” when walking on to set.
He said: “The stakes are so high, figuring out who the character is on the set? That’s walking on the edge.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Love Island’s Arabella Chi says Danny Williams is “acting his age” after moving on from her so quickly with newcomer Jourdan Riane.
The 28-year-old star was dumped from the ITV2 dating show last week, days after 23-year-old scientist Yewande Biala was axed when Danny, 21, picked Arabella over her.
While Arabella is waiting for Danny on the outside, he has since shared a steamy kissing session with newcomer Jourdan – who joined the show as part of the Casa Amor twist – and the blonde beauty feels that although he’s “entitled to do what he wants”, he has wasted no time “jumping ship”.
Speaking on ‘Capital Breakfast’, she said: “I didn’t enjoy seeing Danny’s kiss that’s for sure.”
Roman argued: “But you did say on ‘After Sun’ the other day that you’re both single.”
Arabella said: “Yeah. But obviously when you then see it, it’s not the nicest thing. Obviously Yewande saw us kissing.”
Roman then said: “My main thing is something that Sonny wanted to bring up.”
Sonny continued: “Yeah obviously you’ve just spoken about it, Danny was cracking on with another girl and we got this clip to play you and see what you think about it.”
After watching a clip of Danny confessing he would still be open to “getting to know people” regardless of the fact Arabella had been booted out of the villa, she said: “I think he’s saying the same to her [Jourdan] as he did to me. Obviously with Yewande, I feel like it’s history repeating itself but in a very short period of time.”
Roman asked: “Does that change your view on him?”
Arabella replied: “I feel like he’s just acting his age which, yeah, does change my view on him because I feel like he’s acting like a 21 year old now.
“He’s just jumping ship. But like I said, he is single like I’m single so he can …. you know … he’s entitled to do what he wants to do.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack P. Shepherd, Emma Atkins and Danny Dyer are among the stars hoping to pick up more Inside Soap Awards silverware this year after the longlist was announced.
The ‘Coronation Street’ star picked up the Best Actor accolade at last year’s ceremony, and he has the chance to repeat his success after being nominated in the category’s longlist again alongside his co-stars Rob Mallard (Daniel Osbourne) and Mike North (Gary Windass).
Jack (David Platt) could also be up against Danny when the final shortlist is announced, and the ‘EastEnders’ star – who plays Mick Carter – will be hoping to bring home another trophy after he and Kellie Bright (Linda Carter) won the Best Partnership gong last year.
The pair are in the category’s longlist once again, alongside fellow Albert Square regulars Kara-Leah Fernandes and Roger Griffiths (Bailey and Mitch Baker), as well as Corrie’s Sally Dynevor and Joe Duttine (Sally and Tim Metcalfe), and Emmerdale’s Lucy Pargeter and Dominic Brunt (Chas Dingle and Paddy Kirk).
Emma – who won Best Actress at last year’s Inside Soap Awards for her portrayal of Charity Dingle – also has a nod in the Best Partnership category alongside Michelle Hardwick (Vanessa Woodfield).
But she has missed out on a Best Actress nod this time around, with ‘Emmerdale’ represented by Lucy, Isabel Hodgins (Victoria Barton) and Roxy Shahidi (Leyla Harding).
Other categories include Best Bad Boy and Best Bad Girl, and ‘Coronation Street’ star Maureen Lipman (Evelyn Plummer) is among the stars up for the Best Newcomer award.

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Styles, Ansel Elgort and Miles Teller are among those being considered to play Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann’s forthcoming biopic.
The former One Direction member, the ‘Baby Driver’ actor and the ‘Whiplash’ star are all in the running for the lead role in the forthcoming movie about the legendary King of Rock ‘n’ Roll alongside ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ star Austin Butler and ‘Kick-Ass’ actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
According to The Wrap, each contender has screen tested to play the iconic singer and other stars who also met for the role include rapper G-Eazy aka Gerald Gillum.
Luhrmann will direct the movie and has penned the script alongside Craig Pearce, and the filmmaker previously said he was keen to hire a newcomer to play the late musician, who died in 1977 aged 42.
The director is said to be keen to begin production on the project later this year.
Tom Hanks is currently on board to play Presley’s former manager Colonel Tom Parker, who died in 1997 aged 87 and spotted Elvis when he was relatively unknown in the 1950s, initially helping him with bookings and promotion before becoming his manager.
He went on to arrange the music legend’s deal with RCA, and the singer’s first single with the label, ‘Heartbreak Hotel’, set him on the way to stardom after it was released in January 1956.
In 1987, Parker admitted he didn’t get involved in Elvis’ musical decisions, but did urge the star to record his 1969 hit ‘Are You Lonesome Tonight’ because he felt the tune was “good for him”.
Hanks is no stranger to playing real-life figures, having starred as Walt Disney in ‘Saving Mr. Banks’ and astronaut Jim Lovell in ‘Apollo 13’, among others.
