OHMYGOSSIP — Nitin Ganatra is “pretending” it is his birthday – after he was inundated with social media messages congratulating him.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star has been busy replying to numerous messages this morning wishing him many happy returns – but he has had to point out he isn’t actually celebrating his big day today (01.07.19).
In response to a tweet from a celebrity birthday Twitter account wishing him a “happy birthday”, he replied: “Thank you!!! It’s not my birthday but happy to pretend and receive many many good wishes and positive energy! (sic)”
The 52-year-old star – who played Masood Ahmed on the BBC One soap – joked he is “aiming” to be like the queen and have two birthdays, and admitted he enjoys being wished a happy birthday even though his big day isn’t actually today.
Following an apology from the celeb birthday Twitter user, he wrote: “It’s ok. Happens every year… twice. I enjoy it. (sic)”
Nitin’s former ‘EastEnders’ co-star Tamzin Outhwaite was one of the Twittersphere who wished him many happy returns.
She wrote: “Happy birthday. I miss you and your mangos . Yoga soon? (sic)”
And while he sent a similar message back, he looks set to meet the Mel Owen actress for a yoga session soon.
He wrote: “Ahhhh thanks beautiful. But it’s not my birthday! Mango season is over… miss it this year. Got to get to this yoga party started! Xxx (sic)”
While Nitin is enjoying celebrating his non-birthday today, last week he was less than impressed when strangers burst into a hotel room he was staying at.
The confusion led to him wondering whether he had accidentally booked into a swingers hotel.
He wrote on Twitter: “In a hotel in Knutsford for work. 12.45 in the nite, fast asleep. Door bursts open. Half asleep I yelled “what you doin!? Why I choose a deep voice and jordie accent I dunno!The guy ran off terrified. This is why you NEVER sleep naked! And ALWAYS keep your boots on! (sic)”
And when it happened again, he tweeted: “Ok. Just had a shower. And it happened again!! Wtf is going on??? Am I in some swingers joint by accident?? (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Yewande Biala hopes Anna Vakili and Ovie Soko’s potential romance will work out – so she can hook up with one of his friends.
The former ‘Love Island’ star is glad the 28-year-old beauty seems happy with the new arrival, and admitted she would like to be set up with one of his pals when everyone has left the villa.
Speaking on ‘Capital Breakfast’, she said: “I love Anna and the new guy! I feel like when he walked into the villa, literally, that is Anna’s type.
“She said to me, ‘My type is tall, tattooed, muscular,’ and I feel like they just kind of delivered that.
“I’m so excited for them, I hope it works out and I hope when they get out they’re really strong because I know Ovie will have friends and then it’ll work out for me as well.”
Yewande, 23, doesn’t think Anna has betrayed Jordan Hames, 24, by getting close to the newcomer, and insisted it’s a very different situation to her drama with Danny Williams, 21, and late arrival Arabella Chi, 28.
She explained: “Erm, no not really because see with Jordan and Anna, they never had that discussion.
“They never kind of said that their heads wouldn’t turn. They kind of were together because it was comfortable, it was convenient and that was that.
“There was nothing more than the sexual attraction and she’d said that to Jordan and they kind of knew where they stood and, that’s why both of them are talking to different people. It’s a totally different situation.”
Despite her disappointment at how everything was handled with Danny and Arabella, she thinks they are “lovely”.
She said: “I think Danny as an individual is obviously a lovely person.
“I think it’s just the situation was handled incorrectly. Him as a person, he’s lovely and Arabella – she’s really lovely – obviously I didn’t get to know her on a personal level, I think it was just the situation that was just a little bit… mmm.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby has known former ‘Love Island’ star Tom Walker since he was 12 years old.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter revealed on today’s (01.07.19) show that she first met the 29-year-old model when she was co-hosting her and Stephen Mulhern’s Saturday morning entertainment show ‘Ministry of Mayhem’, which was later titled ‘Holly & Stephen’s Saturday Showdown’, because his dad was the director.
Speaking on the brunch-time show, the 38-year-old presenter said: “You were about 12 years old and I was doing Saturday morning ‘Ministry of Mayhem’ and your dad was our director at the time.
“I remember your dad and him bringing the boys in.
Tom added: “We’d come in every week and watch you do your thing. It was really good.”
Holly said: “You’ll have to find the picture and put it out on social media.
“It’s lovely to see you again.”
Tom had his ups and downs in the villa before being dumped from the island last week.
One of his lowlights included a huge bust-up with Maura Higgins when the pair were set to go into the Hideaway.
Beforehand, Tom turned to the lads and said: “It will be interesting to see if she’s all mouth or not,” much to Maura’s disgust.
But when asked by Holly’s ‘This Morning’ co-host Phillip Schofield if he feels she “overreacted for effect”, Tom replied: “Possibly, possibly, yeah.
“If I’d have said it to her I think she would’ve reacted slightly differently, it was saying it to the boys that got her riled up.
“I don’t think I was Maura’s perfect guy either. We were the best options for each other at the time.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Elma Pazar has predicted Amber Gill and Michael Griffiths will win this year’s ‘Love Island’.
The 26-year-old beauty believes the pair – who have been coupled up since the 14th day – will go the distance in the villa and scoop the £50,000 prize pot.
Speaking to ‘Off The Island’ on the Evening Standard’s YouTube page, she said: “I think they’ll win! That is your ‘Love Island’ 2019 winners right there.
“I just know it, you know, you’ve got a gut instinct. I watched them from the beginning, and then I’ve lived with them, and I’ve seen them. I know, I just know.”
However, Elma’s comments came ahead of last night’s (30.06.19) episode, in which Michael was seen getting close to Joanna Chimonides.
Elma played down Yewande Biala’s recent suggestion that some islanders are playing a game, insisting “everyone is genuine” on the show.
Asked if anyone is just in the villa for fame, she added: “I mean I like to think I’m a good judge of character – I don’t think they are! I want to say they’re not.”
She also opened up on Maura Higgins, and insisted that despite their row over “girl code”, she is confident the 28-year-old model will find a partner because she has a heart of gold.
Elma said: “She is single again, but honesty, she will find someone definitely in there, in Casa Amor … 100 per cent. Do you know what, she’s a fiery person but she has got the absolute biggest heart and it is made of gold.
“And I genuinely think that someone out of these handsome men will literally sweep her off her feet. And I think she deserves it!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Casey Affleck says his new film ‘Light of My Life’ was inspired by his children.
The 43-year-old actor-and-director recently helmed and starred in the dystopian drama film – which followed a father and his young daughter as they become trapped in the woods in a post-pandemic world where a disease has killed most of the planet’s women – and confessed that the movie was heavily influenced by his own children, Indiana, 15, and 11-year-old Atticus, who he has with actress Summer Phoenix.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, he said: “So much of the film is based on my experience as a parent.”
Affleck – who is the brother of Hollywood star Ben Affleck – went on to explain that although the film wasn’t made as a comment on environmental and social issues, he hopes the movie – which also stars Anna Pniowsky, Tom Bower, Elisabeth Moss and Hrothgar Mathews – will raise awareness of current ecological concerns.
He said: “I am no quite that ambition, but I do really believe in the power of art in times like this. People keep making things and telling stories, whether they are political or not. It provokes, helping conversations and brings people together.”
The ‘Manchester by the Sea’ star also revealed that the film would have been less “violent” had the plot seen men be nearly irradiated.
He said: “It would be less violent. Violence in the movie is always something [the main character] is trying to keep at bay.”
Affleck previously confessed he was “naive” to think it would be easy to direct the movie and admits he thought it wouldn’t be too bad to take the helm of the movie because it was on a “smaller scale”.
He said: “I know. It is. I was naive enough to think that this would be easy because it was a smaller scale. It was hard but I would do it over and over again.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Hollyoaks’ is on the lookout for fans to work backstage as part of a new internship scheme.
Lime Pictures, the production company behind the Channel 4 soap, has announced the launch of an in-house intern initiative, Lime Interns, which will give nine successful candidates the chance to work behind the scenes within its Liverpool production base over nine months of paid work experience.
Claire Poyser and Kate Little, joint managing directors, said: “We are immensely proud of Lime Pictures history of discovering and nurturing exceptional individuals, both on and off screen and we are committed to making the industry accessible to all.
“Our intern programme delivers meaningful on the job training that enables the successful candidates to acquire knowledge and experience in their chosen specialist area as well as allowing them to develop a broader understanding of the wide range of roles and responsibilities within TV.
“The interns will be paid throughout their nine months and at the end of their time with Lime we fully expect them to be able to successfully apply for entry level positions across the sector.”
The advert states Lime Interns will gain a “broad understanding” of production, and will also be able to gain experience in their “chosen area of production”, such as Scenic Design, Visual effects, Costume, Make Up, Scheduling, Music, Camera, Sound and Story.
The application process is now open, but applications must be submitted by Friday (05.07.19).
Successful applicants will be invited to an assessment day on July 29th.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Shephard has quit ‘Goals on Sunday’.
The ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter – who also hosts ‘Tipping Point’ – has confirmed he is stepping down from his role on the Sky Sports football programme after almost a decade as a key part of the team.
Revealing the news on Instagram, he wrote: “After 9 seasons, nearly 400 shows and at least 3 times as many “Unbelievable’s” the time has come to hang up my Goals On Sunday boots.
“It’s been the experience of a life time working with the legend that is @chris_kammy , who I’m delighted to say isn’t just a colleague but a great friend that has taught me so much – both professionally and personally (not least in the bar!)
“Thank you to all our viewers, the guests and especially @SkySports for trusting me with two of the gems in their line up – Kammy and Goals on Sunday!!”
Ben admitted while he will miss his pairing with Chris Kamara – although they also host ‘Ninja Warrior UK’ together – there could be more opportunities to work together “in the future”.
He added: “I have loved every minute of it, and will miss waking up with Kammy every Sunday morning, but I’m really looking forward to working with Sky Sports in the future and I know Kammy and I will have more adventures to come. #GOS #easylikeasundaymorning”
Meanwhile, Ben previously ruled out the idea of strutting his stuff on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ after he admitted the show’s infamous “curse” isn’t worth the risk.
‘GMB’ co-star Susanna Reid – who appeared on the BBC show when she was runner-up in 2013 – recently said: “Three quarters of us have unashamedly busted out our moves on national television. Ben Shephard, it is time for you to get onto ‘Strictly.’ ”
However, Ben – who married Annie Perks in 2004 and has shares two sons with her – responded: “You know why I can’t do it? Because my wife doesn’t want me to have an affair.”
Susanna added: “Oh, because of the curse of ‘Strictly’? Actually, that’s a really good point, it has been pretty bad recently.”

OHMYGOSSIP — James ‘Fungi’ Clarke has died aged 50.
The ‘Benefits Street’ star – who rose to fame on the controversial Channel 4 programme in 2014 alongside Deirdre Kelly aka White Dee – has passed away from a heart attack following a suspected overdose in the early hours of Monday (01.07.19) morning.
Police and ambulance crews were called to Clarke’s home – reportedly a house for recovering addicts – in Birmingham at around 2.45am, but he could not be saved despite attempts to revive him.
A spokesman said: “His death is not being treated as suspicious and will be referred to the coroner.”
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance added: “On arrival crews found a patient in cardiac arrest.
“Unfortunately nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
His ex-partner Donna Reilly – who raised his eldest daughter Kirsty, 29 – told The Sun Online: “The family are very upset, we’ve only just heard. It’s been a long time, about 30 years.
“The last time I saw him was at his dad’s funeral in January. I haven’t seen him since, I don’t keep in touch with him.”
She later wrote on Facebook: “Death leaves a heartache no [one] can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
The father-of-four rose to fame on the Channel 4 series which followed the residents of Winson Green.
Fungi was one of the first people to appear on the programme five years ago, when it focused on the lives of those who lived on James Turner Street, where around 90 percent of locals were receiving benefits.

OHMYGOSSIP — Curtis Pritchard is having doubts over his romance with Amy Hart.
The ‘Love Island’ hunk admits spending time with the new girls in the villa while the new boys are with the girls in Casa Amor has made him think, and Jourdan Riane has already caught his eye.
On Monday night’s (01.07.19) episode, he says in the Beach Hut: “Jourdan seems lovely, she’s attractive, she’s nice, I seem to have clicked with her a little bit.
“Is she better than Amy? I can’t say… I don’t know yet. If I didn’t have this chat with Jourdan, I wouldn’t have been true to myself. “I’m not saying my heads been turned but am I better suited to somebody else? I’m confused.”
Curtis’ confession comes after he and Jourdan spend some time together on the swing seat, and he admits he’s in a “weird” position despite things being “strong” with Amy.
When Jourdan asks if he is more open to getting to know someone new than he thought he was, he admits: “Yes and that’s why I’m wanting to explore it because I would be kicking myself if I didn’t.”
Michael Griffiths sits down with him to chat about how he’s feeling and figure it all out, and Curtis reveals he thinks he and Amy could work well together “on the outside”.
He says: “Me and Amy are good, I can see things working on the outside, there’s nothing wrong with that situation so this is what has confused me so much. All these new girls have come in, I’ve felt something different.”
Michael pushes him, and asks whether something might be missing from his relationship with Amy.
Curtis admits: “Maybe there is but I don’t know what. Why has my head been turned? There must be something missing. I’m in such a predicament right now.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Griffiths is getting close to Joanna Chimonides on ‘Love Island’, despite already being paired up with Amber Gill.
The 27-year-old firefighter has spent the past three weeks of the ITV2 reality show coupled up with Amber, but after the annual Casa Amor split saw the girls head off to spend time with a new set of boys while the boys welcomed some new girls to the main villa, his loyalty has been tested.
On Monday’s (01.07.19) episode of the show, Michael was seen in bed with newcomer Joanna, and told her he was finding it easier to get to know her than it had been with 21-year-old beauty therapist Amber.
Speaking to the 22-year-old recruitment consultant, Michael said: “It’s been easier to get to know you than it has been in the whole three or four weeks that I’ve been getting to know Amber.”
Elsewhere in the episode, more couples were rocked as Danny Williams spent time in bed with Jourdan Raine, although he’s already paired up with Arabella Chi.
Whilst in bed, he told Jourdan: “I’m trying my best not to be too forward, but it’s not easy.”
And 24-year-old model Jourdan could be set to cause even more trouble, as she also turned the head of dancer Curtis Pritchard, who has been paired with Amy Hart since the beginning of the show.

OHMYGOSSIP — An animated ‘Gremlins’ prequel TV show is in the works.
The fantasy movie was first released in 1984, and told the story of a gadget salesman who buys a mysterious creature known as a Mogwai – who goes by the name of Gizmo – from a store in Chinatown, and is given strict instructions not to expose him to bright light, water, or to feed him after midnight.
When the salesman and his son fail to follow the rules, the result is a gang of nasty gremlins who wreak havoc on the city.
And now, more than 30 years later, an animated prequel series entitled ‘Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai’ has been ordered by WarnerMedia to be shown on its upcoming as-yet-untitled streaming service.
The prequel will be comprised of 10 episodes, each of which are half an hour long, and tell the story of how Sam Wing – the future owner of the shop in Chinatown from the original movie – came to be in the possession of Gizmo.
An official description for the series reads: “In the animated television adaptation, we travel back to 1920s Shanghai to reveal the story of how 10-year-old Sam Wing met the young Mogwai called Gizmo. Along with a teenage street thief named Elle, Sam and Gizmo take a perilous journey through the Chinese countryside, encountering, and sometimes battling, colourful monsters and spirits from Chinese folklore. On their quest to return Gizmo to his family and uncover a legendary treasure, they are pursued by a power-hungry industrialist and his growing army of evil Gremlins.”
Tze Chun will write the script, whilst Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey, and Sam Register will executive produce, with Chun and Brendan Hay serving as co-executive producers. Dan Krall will serve as supervising producer.
As of the time of writing there’s no launch date for the series or for WarnerMedia’s streaming service, though the service is thought to be debuting some time in 2020.

OHMYGOSSIP — Shane Richie is to travel across the UK visiting holiday parks for a new show.
The ‘EastEnders’ star will front Channel 5 programme ‘Caravanning with Shane Richie’ later this year, and he was impressed with the facilities of luxury caravans nowadays.
He said: “I was staying in luxury caravans – and boy have they changed since I last stayed in one.”
Shane got into the spirit of the show by dressing up as a pirate when he visited Conwy Castle in north Wales, and he rolled back the years when the programme took him to the Isle of Wight, where he began his professional career as a bluecoat entertainer at Pontins holiday camp Little Canada.
He is quoted by The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column as saying: “It reminded me of when I worked on a holiday park – and I got to call bingo again.”
Shane – who plays Alfie Moon in the BBC One soap – previously admitted how he bunked off school aged 15 and auditioned for Pontins, despite being three years too young, leaving his mum having to fork out on fines because he missed exams.
He said: “There was a Sliding Doors moment when I was 15. I had been accepted for the National Youth Theatre’s summer course, but I also bunked off school and went to audition for Pontins.
“You had to be 18, so I forged my doctor’s certificate and off I went. My mum, bless her, had to pay fines because I did no exams.
“I had done some acting, I’d ticked that box for the moment, so I decided to tear the arse out of it on a holiday camp and learn to be an entertainer.
“I loved that life – you did sketch shows, sang with bands, danced, called bingo and had a great time. I’d make the same decision now.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Price and Jack P. Shepherd are not afraid to be “quite nasty to each other” on ‘Coronation Street’ because they are so close in real life.
The 47-year-old star – who plays Nick Tilsley in the ITV soap – admits it is vital to “go for it” when the brothers are at war on the cobbles, and that is made easier because he finds it “very easy to work with” Jack (David Platt).
When asked what it is like playing squabbling siblings, Ben said: “Yeah, we love all that. We do get on really well and because of that we are not afraid to be quite nasty to each other.
“It’s essential when you are going for it, you go for it.
“It’s very easy to work with Jack because we both recognise that, especially on ‘Coronation Street’, you have to show different sides of a character.
“This is a family story and that’s why I think they are such a strong family because we all play our parts.”
Nick will appear in court next week, alongside David, after he stole their gran Audrey Roberts’ (Sue Nicholls) £80,000 inheritance money, and David helped him spend it when they bought barbers Trim Up North.
But Nick looks set to resort to desperate measures to try to ensure he stays out of prison.
Ben said: “There’s a duplicity with Nick. He’s now thinking that actually he better come clean but I don’t think he would have been that altruistic if he hadn’t have been caught and if it hadn’t have all came out.
“Initially he thinks he probably should take the blame because a lot of it was down to him but Nick is also very aware about what he is trying to create and when it all starts to fall down and he thinks he can’t get his way out of it, he realises he is going to have to show remorse in some way so part of that is using David to show the family that he has got remorse.
“He is very torn. Suddenly it becomes real that he might go away for a long time and the life that he is trying so hard to build up again could go.
“He starts to think if he keeps quiet there is a chance he could get away with it.
“His brother has been inside and done all that so he thinks that David won’t mind so much.”
And he will blame his brain injury – which occurred in 2013 when David caused him to crash the van they were travelling in, which left Nick in a coma for nearly two months – on what happened.
He said: “It is a fact, he does have a brain injury. I don’t think that really made him do the things he did but he has been different since so he thinks he can have a legitimate go at using that as an excuse.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid want to release a Christmas single to top the charts.
The ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenters want to take their on-screen partnership and turn it into a festive treat for music fans.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I have been thinking of going into that market. We would like to release a Christmas single.”
It appears the co-hosts already have a tune in mind for their attempt at the elusive Christmas Number One slot in the UK Single charts, with Susanna admitting the pair would love to take on a classic seasonal duet.
She added: “We’ve been thinking of doing ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside’. Imagine the video.”
Meanwhile, Susanna – who gave up booze last year after a heavy Ibiza trip with Judge Rinder – previously joked working with Piers makes sobriety “harder”.
She said: “He makes not drinking harder. I can’t say what happened exactly [in Ibiza], as it’s too personal, but we went big. I do miss the alcohol at times.
“You know, you’re at the Groucho Club, there’s a party, someone brings the shots and you’re just … whoo.
“I love the bacchanalia of it all, that rush of hedonism and escape. But then there’s the shame. I’ve had some of my best worst moments after a drink, but I don’t miss the hangxiety.”
While Susanna has compared being on TV with her fellow ‘GMB’ presenter to “being hooked up to an espresso IV drip”, she also begrudgingly described him as “a genius” and explained how their personality clash makes for fantastic TV.
She said: “Oh, [he makes me] really mad. He’s pushed me to get more opinionated. Critics say I take the opposite side just to wind him up.
“It’s not true. I take the opposite side because I don’t agree.
“I also feel a responsibility to speak out for those who aren’t in the studio to defend themselves against his obnoxious rants.
“I don’t agree he should be left to chew these people up and spit them out like one of his rare steaks. Piers too needs to be held to account for what he says.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Oaten has thanked her mum for “never giving up” on her, after she “battled to save” the former ‘Emmerdale’ star’s life for 13 years.
The 35-year-old actress suffered from anorexia during her younger years, leading to her mum and dad setting up eating disorder support charity SEED, and Gemma is pleased she can now work alongside her parents to help others after putting them “through hell” as a youngster.
Sharing a picture of herself at a talk while her mum looks on proudly in the background, Gemma wrote on Instagram: “As it’s #charitytuesday I wanted to share a couple of stills from me talking about SEED Eating disorders support services last week with Mum and Dad by my side. When you’ve put your parents through hell and they had to deal with 13 years battling to save my life because of my past eating disorder, not knowing from one week to the next if I’d make it or not …its a pretty special moment when it comes full circle. The way mum looks at me here fills my heart. We turned it around @margoaten you inspired me and never gave up. Days like this are precious. (sic)”
Gemma – who played Rachel Breckle in ‘Emmerdale’ – says being a patron of her parents’ charity is “everything” to her.
The star – whose weight dropped to just four and a half stone in the height of her anorexia battle – added: “Being patron of SEED is everything to me. OHMYGOSSIP — Colin Thackery will sign a record deal this week.
The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ winner will reportedly put pen to paper on a contract worth a five-figure sum in a joint venture with Decca and Simon Cowell’s Syco.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “Colin’ is over the moon. Decca and Syco have never done a deal like this before and the goodwill towards Colin is clear to see.
“They think he can have a real impact on the charts, just like the D-Day Darlings did before.”
The 89-year-old Chelsea Pensioner – who is the oldest artist to sign a record deal – is expected to release his album to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of World War Two in September.
Colin previously joked he’s been enjoying more attention from the ladies since winning ‘BGT’.
He said: “I don’t think I’m a heart-throb but I’m getting a lot of attention from the ladies. I’m not complaining mind you!
“As a Chelsea Pensioner you get used to having your picture taken.
“Every time we go out in our scarlet coats we get recognised.
“It’s just that now people want their picture taken with me for a different reason.”
He joked: “But if I get drunk and fall out of a nightclub I’ll make sure no one sees me.”
The champion also humbly declared he would spend his winnings on his family and then make a donation to the new activity centre in the hospital.
She said: “I will treat my family to a nice holiday or get something nice for them. And I want to make a donation to the new activity centre in the hospital.
“I want to put some cash into that because it would benefit so many people.”
