OHMYGOSSIP — Felicity Jones has joined George Clooney’s new Netflix film ‘Good Morning, Midnight’.
The 35-year-old actress is set to star in an unknown role alongside the Hollywood star, 58, in the streaming service’s feature-length film adaptation of Lily Brooks-Dalton’s sci-fi thriller novel, which was named one of the best books of 2017 by the Chicago Review of Books.
Mark L. Smith will adapt the screenplay, which follows Augustine, a brilliant, aging astronomer who is consumed by the stars and spends his time trying to look back at the beginning of time itself.
When news of a catastrophic event arrives at his remote research center in the Arctic and the researchers are asked to evacuate, he insists on staying behind and soon embarks on a mission to save Mission Specialist Sullivan, who was aboard the Aether space ship when it crashed on its return flight from Jupiter.
The book’s synopsis hails the novel as: “A haunting debut novel about the search for meaning at the edges of human civilisation. ‘Good Morning, Midnight’ is the unforgettable story of two outsiders grappling with love, sacrifice, and regret at the end of the world.”
George – who will also produce alongside his regular collaborator Grant Heslov, as well as Anonymous Content and Syndicate Entertainment – previously said in a statement: “Grant and I couldn’t be more excited to be involved with this incredible project.
“Mark is a writer we’ve long admired and his script is haunting. We’re thrilled to be working with our friends at Netflix as well.”
Scott Stuber, head of Netflix’s film division, added: “Having known and worked with George for over two decades, I can’t think of anyone better to bring this amazing story to life.
“The book is powerful and moving, and Mark’s adaptation is beautifully written. At its core, this is a story about human nature, and one that I know our global audiences will fall in love with, just like I did when I read it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Miller feels heart-broken about Ryan Hawley’s ‘Emmerdale’ departure.
The 28-year-old actor made a quip about his on-screen husband Robert Sugden-Dingle’s (Ryan) departure from the Dales, but soon backtracked when a fan insisted it is “too soon for jokes”.
In response to the supporter of Robron – the nickname given to Robert and Aaron Sugden-Dingle (Danny) – he wrote: “I’m right there with you, trust me. It’s merely a defence mechanism to hide my true feelings.. [heart-broken emoji]. (sic)”
Danny had previously quote retweeted a message about Robert’s time in the village coming to an end, after it was hinted Ryan’s alter-ego may be killed off.
He wrote: “FFS.
If anyone knows where to get the best rates on a loan then slide all the way into my DM’s ASAP (sic)”
It comes after ‘Emmerdale’ producer Laura Shaw confirmed Ryan’s exit and admitted he will try to wreak revenge on Victoria Sugden’s (Isabel Hodgins) rapist Lee Posner (Kris Mochrie) “even if it kills him”.
She said: “Ryan Hawley is leaving the show – it’s been a fantastic five years with him and we will miss him dearly.
“There is some time left with him on screen yet but in time, it does mean that our beloved Robron are going to be parted.
“Robert is intent on getting his revenge at any cost, even if it kills him.”
Danny’s comments come after Kelvin Fletcher – who portrayed Robert’s brother Andy Sugden from 1996 to 2016 – admitted he was “gutted” to hear Ryan is leaving the soap.
He tweeted: “So what do I do with my Robron mug now?! Gutted [heart-broken emoji] (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ross Adams channels a mixture of “Barbra Streisand, Jane McDonald and his mum” to portray his ‘Hollyoaks’ drag queen alter-ego.
The 37-year-old star has relished the chance for his character Scott Drinkwell to take on the persona of Anita Tinkle in the Channel 4 soap, and he admitted the cameramen “treat him differently” when he dons her garbs.
He said: “I feel like a mixture of Barbra Streisand, Jane McDonald and my mum.
“People treat me differently when I’m dressed as Anita – the burly camera boys look at me in a different way.
“I’ve never felt that I’m a very sexy person, but when I have the Anita clobber on, I think, ‘Ooh, I’m fierce.’ ”
While Ross is enjoying portraying Anita, his on-screen lover Dr Levi Rochester (Cerith Flinn) isn’t such a big fan of Scott dressing up as a drag queen.
Ross added to Inside Soap magazine: “Scott is quite tragic, bless him. But I like playing the kind of character for whom things don’t always work out, because I think it makes the audience root for him even more.
“I hope he does eventually have a perfect romance – it’s not going to be an easy ride, though.”
Cerith recently admitted it had been “great fun” teaming up with Ross for their romantic scenes together.
He said: “Working with Ross Adams who plays Scott has been great fun and an absolute pleasure, he’s a pure gentleman.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lulu Wang is set to direct the film adaptation of ‘Children of the New World’.
The ‘Farewell’ writer is wanted to helm the big screen adaptation of Alexander Weinstein’s 2016 short story collection of the same name in collaboration with Votiv.
The writer – who made her feature film debut in 2014 with ‘Posthumous’ – is also set to pen the screenplay for the sci-fi film and although details are being kept under wraps, Wang told Deadline that the new film will “continue exploring the evolving dynamics of family.”
‘Children of the New World’ will follow a childless couple who conceive two children in an online world, however, eventually discover their imagined life to be infected by a computer virus.
The book’s official synopsis teases: “It grapples with our unease in this modern world and how our ever-growing dependence on new technologies has changed the shape of our society.
“Alexander Weinstein is a visionary new voice in speculative fiction for all of us who are fascinated by and terrified of what we might find on the horizon.”
The movie will be produced by Big Beach’s Dani Melia and Peter Saraf – who worked with Wang on the upcoming drama ‘The Farewell’ – as well as Justin Lothrop and Brent Stiefel.
In a statement, Melia said: “We had an incredible experience collaborating with Lulu Wang on The Farewell and are thrilled to be making another film with this visionary director, this time working alongside Votiv and exploring a completely different space and genre”
Lothrop added: “Lulu and I have been friends for years now and we’re very excited to be collaborating with her on such an incredible project.
“When we started on this journey with her, I don’t think we could have imagined a better partner than Big Beach, and we couldn’t be more pleased about working with them on this.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tamzin Outhwaite is craving “stodgy carbs” after going four days without alcohol and sugar.
The ‘EastEnders’ actress has cut calorific treats and booze from her diet, and she cannot help but feel the need for some “dirty, fatty, heavy stodge”.
She wrote on Twitter: “Day 4 of no alcohol and no sugar and all I really want is stodgy carbs.
Dirty, fatty, heavy stodge. (sic)”
In response to her tweet, Tamzin’s former co-star Nitin Ganatra – who played Masood Ahmed on the show – joked: “I’m right here….. (sic)”
And she replied: “[laughing face emoji] you are more refreshing , zingy, light MANGO (sic)”
However, some of her Twitter followers thought the quip meant she was also eating mango, and they were quick to point out the fruit can be high in sugar.
The 48-year-old star – who plays Mel Owen on the BBC One soap – is no stranger to ditching alcohol.
In May, Tamzin admitted she was feeling “tippety top” after going without booze and red meat for nearly two weeks.
She wrote on Twitter: “Day 13 of no alcohol, no red meat and no dairy…. feeling Tippetty Top, apart from waking at 5am every day, whether I’m working or not. (sic)”
Nitin appeared to take a bit of credit for her lifestyle change.
He tweeted: “that’s the way forward. You’re welcome. xxx (sic)”
Emma Barton (Honey Mitchell) was impressed by Tamzin’s cleansing.
She wrote: “You are sooooo good! (sic)”
Tamzin also recently admitted she has become “addicted to getting up early” to listen to the birds.
She tweeted: “The birds, the birdsong!! It’s incredible. I think I’m becoming addicted to getting up early to hear it. Tried to do a bit of yoga this morning but ended up lying down and just listening.
“Shame it’s a distraction as I wish it could be the main attraction, all day, while lying in a hammock, post yoga, in the sunshine. Too much to ask? Xx(sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Taslim has joined the ‘Mortal Kombat’ movie reboot.
The 38-year-old actor – who is best known for his roles as Jah in ‘Fast & Furious 6’ and Ito in the 2018 Netflix film ‘The Night Comes for Us’ – will reportedly join the production when it begins shooting in Australia later this year and is set to take on the role of Sub-Zero.
Simon McQuoid also recently signed up to direct the film which is based on the iconic arcade and console fighting franchise of the same name – which this year saw its eleventh instalment released.
Sub-Zero – who can control ice for attack and defence – is one of the franchise’s most popular fighters and within the games’ storyline is the nemesis of fellow ninja Scorpion.
Greg Russo has written a draft version of the script and James Wan will produce the motion picture alongside Todd Garner, Jeremy Stein and Michael Clear, while Lawrence Kasanoff will act as executive producer on the movie.
Paul W.S. Anderson helmed the original ‘Mortal Kombat’ movie in 1995, which saw Christopher Lambert play master of electricity Raiden and was also produced by Kasanoff.
The film featured ‘Mortal Kombat’ characters Liu Kang (Robin Shou), Johnny Cage (Linden Ashby), and Sonya Blade (Bridgette Wilson), attempting to try to defeat evil Shang Tsung (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa) in a tournament to save the world.
It was based on the first beat ’em up video game ‘Mortal Kombat’ and the next title ‘Mortal Kombat II’.
Lambert recently revealed the new movie will have a time travel theme.
He said: “They have a great idea for the third one. It will be very different. We are going to be travelling through time, but in a very special way. Imagine characters having a battle in the middle of London and then whoosh, you smash through a window and find yourself on the hood of a New York cab.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Freddie Jones has died.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actor – who played Sandy Thomas in the soap from 2005 to 2018 – passed away on Tuesday (09.07.19) evening at the age of 91 following a short illness.
His agent, Lesley Duff, said: “It is with great sadness that I can confirm the death of Freddie Jones.
“He passed away on the evening of July 9 after a short illness.
“Freddie was a much loved and admired actor, known for his triumphs in classical theatre, film and television. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him and most especially his family.”
Freddie – who also appeared in movies including ‘The Elephant Man’, ‘Dune’ and ‘Wild At Heart’ and 1992 TV series ‘On The Air’ – had three sons with wife Jennifer, including actor Toby Jones.
Freddie bowed out of his ‘Emmerdale’ role as Sandy in February 2018, but admitted afterwards that he wasn’t technically retiring because actors pass away rather than call it a day.
He said: “Actors don’t retire – they die. The story goes that Sir John Gielgud, at the age of 96, rang Maggie Smith and said in a deep depression, ‘They’ve forgotten me – they don’t know who I am any more.’
“He apparently added, ‘I’m seriously thinking about changing my agent.’ He then died, so – in some sense – he did.”
Sandy left the Emmerdale village for a new life in Australia alongside Maisie, who was played by former ‘Butterflies’ star Wendy Craig.
One of his main storylines saw him become the victim of domestic abuse at the hands of his son Ashley Thomas (John Middleton).

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Look Who’s Talking’ is to be rebooted 30 years after the original comedy hit cinemas.
The box office smash – which boasted a cast that included Kirstie Alley, John Travolta and Bruce Willis – is to be remade by Sony Pictures’ Screen Gems with ‘The Wedding Ringer’ director Jeremy Garelick attached to write and helm the new film.
Speaking to Deadline, he said: “What excited me about doing is, I have four kids, including twins, and this is something they can watch, and share some of the experience I had with my wife.
“Like, figuring out how to raise these kids, with all the mistakes that happen. Add in the voices that are keyed to facial expressions, it just really seems like a fun idea.”
The original movie followed accountant Mollie Jensen (Alley) who is left to raise her newborn baby Mikey alone after she falls pregnant to a married man called Albert (George Segal) however taxi driver James Ubriacco (Travolta) becomes part of the family after he drives her to the hospital when she goes into labour and inadvertently witnesses Mollie’s baby be born.
The twist of the movie is that the audience can hear Mikey’s thoughts through the voice of Willis.
Garelick explained the appeal of returning to the original film is that “everyone can relate to babies”.
He said: “Everyone can relate to babies. The challenge is, that was a really good movie, Travolta and Kirstie Alley had great chemistry and Amy Heckerling wrote a great script.
“We’re in the early stages of figuring out what the story is for the modern version of the movie.”
The original film cost $7.5 million but banked almost $300 million at the box office.
‘Look Who’s Talking’ spawned two sequels, ‘Look Who’s Talking Too’ and ‘Look Who’s Talking Now’ – which featured the family’s dogs talking in their heads – as well as a TV series ‘Baby Talk’.
It is not yet known if there are plans for any of the original cast members to feature in the reboot.

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Messina has joined the cast of ‘I Care A Lot’.
The 44-year-old actor is on board to star in an unknown role in the upcoming thriller alongside ‘Game of Thrones’ actor Peter Dinklage, 49, and ‘Gone Girl’ star Rosamund Pike, 50.
Diane Wiest is also on board to join the cast alongside ‘Baby Driver’ actress Eiza Gonzalez.
Dinklage’s role is being kept under wraps for now, but Pike will portray a successful legal guardian called Marla Grayson who cherry picks what appears to be her ideal client, but soon comes to the conclusion that looks can be deceiving.
J Blakeson will direct the movie and has written the script for the project, which is due to begin filming later this month.
Blakeson’s Sugar November will produce the motion picture, as will the director himself, alongside Teddy Schwarzman’s Black Bear, and Sacha Guttenstein will executive produce the film.
Speaking in March, Schwarzman said: “Black Bear is thrilled to partner with J and Rosamund to bring ‘I Care A Lot’ to life.
“J has written one of the boldest and most entertaining scripts we’ve ever read, and we have been a fan of J’s work ever since seeing ‘The Disappearance of Alice Creed’.
“We can think of no one better to play I Care A Lot’s fierce, intelligent and unrelenting lead than Rosamund Pike, who deserves all the accolades she’s received to date and more.
“We can’t wait to see Rosamund do something truly memorable with this iconic role.”
Chris is best known for his role as Danny Castellano in ‘The Mindy Project’, he recently appeared as Detective Richard Willis alongside Amy Adams in HBO’s ‘Sharp Objects’ and he will soon appear opposite Margot Robbie in the highly anticipated Harley Quinn film ‘Birds of Prey’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrew Garfield and Michaela Coel have joined ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’.
The ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ star and the ‘Chewing Gum’ actress have both been confirmed as guest judges for the upcoming first series of the BBC Three show, and Andrew, 35, has praised the programme’s “creativity”.
He said: “The creativity is always totally outside the box and it’s one of the many reasons I watch and love this show – when someone does something I wouldn’t have thought of myself.”
‘Black Mirror’ actress Coel added that she “loves” that the show gets rid of all “societal norms and restraints”.
She said: “I love that you have to dare, you have to dare and you have to drop all of your societal norms and restraints that you’ve been taught and you have to dare to embody something higher.”
The pair joins previously announced judges, Spice Girl Geri Horner, Little Mix member Jade Thirlwall and ‘Game of Thrones’ star Maisie Williams, while comedian Alan Carr and chat show host Graham Norton will both make regular appearances as rotating judges.
‘Black Magic’ singer Jade – who is a huge fan of the US version of the show – previously admitted she wishes she could have been a queen herself.
She added: “I love absolutely everything about drag. I love that it’s art. I love how fabulous it is, how fun it is, I love that you can transform your body into a fantastic beautiful woman … the whole thing! I just wish in my next life I can be a drag queen.”
The star once hosted a drag queen-themed birthday party, and she starred alongside ‘Drag Race’ queens Alaska, Courtney Act and Willam in Little Mix’s ‘Power’ video two years ago.

OHMYGOSSIP — Larry Lamb says filming the ‘Gavin and Stacey’ special has been like being reunited with a long lost “family”.
The 71-year-old actor – who plays Mick Shipman in the hit BBC comedy series – admits being back with his cast mates 10 years after the last episode of the show aired has been “lovely” and insisted that while shooting three seasons in a “family situation” the stars all formed an “intense” bond with one another which is still there.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’, he said: “It’s always funny when you go and do something that you’ve done with a load of actors before because the thing is that with a family situation with actors, you do actually become a family.
“It’s so intense and you’re together a lot and you become a family and there we were all together again in the room together for the first time in 10 years it was lovely.”
James Corden and Ruth Jones – who created the sitcom and play Smithy and Nessa Jenkins, alongside Mathew Horne and Joanna Page in the title roles – announced earlier this year that they would be bringing the much-loved show back for a one-off Christmas special.
Former ‘EastEnders’ star Larry admitted it was very hard for him to not let the surprise slip that the programme was returning as he knew about it months in advance to the announcement.
Although he is staying tight-lipped on what happens, Larry has promised fans they will get “everything they want” from the reunion.
He said: “As far as I’m concerned the one thing that they’ve managed to do is very clever – because everybody’s waiting for it.
“Everybody’s been going on about it for 10 years, it was just at the point I was going to have a tattoo on my forehead saying ‘I don’t know, don’t ask!’ And then I get a phone call from James Corden. And then I have to carry it around for two months until it all finally came through and then I got to read the script and really in the end what they’ve managed to do, they’ve not tried to turn it into a great big circus or something. They’ve rolled it on and there you are 10 years down the line, everything you want is gonna be there.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Doctor Who’ favourite K9 is to return in a new children’s television series.
The robotic canine companion – who made his debut in the BBC One sci-fi series back in 1977 alongside Fourth Doctor Tom Baker – is to be the main hero in the upcoming show which will focus on an intergalactic space war.
K9 is to get a major design overhaul for the project to bring the electronic pooch into the 21st century.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “He’s going to look more industrial and be covered in rivets.”
K9 was originally created by Dave Martin and Bob Baker and proved to be hugely popular amongst ‘Doctor Who’ fans going on to appear in several spin-offs, including TV pilot ‘K9 and Company’ in 1981.
Since ‘Doctor Who’ was brought back to TV screens in 2005 the metal mutt has featured in the show and was last seen in the 2006 episode ‘School Reunion’ with the Tenth Doctor – played by David Tennant – and the Fourth Doctor’s much loved companion Sarah-Jane Smith, portrayed by the late Elizabeth Sladen.
K9 was then a regular in spin-off CBBC show ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’ and even appeared in one-off Australian show ‘K-9’, in which he was brought to life by original voice actor John Leeson.

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlie Cooper has paid tribute to his ‘This Country’ co-star Michael Sleggs, who died from heart complications at the age of 33.
Cooper, the co-writer and co-creator of the mockumentary sitcom, took to Twitter to pay tribute to his late friend and colleague, describing Sleggs as a “unique” talent and a “considerate generous and gentle friend”.
In a moving thread on Twitter, Cooper said: “We are completely heartbroken. Michael was utterly unique. He was kind, he was caring, he was loving. One of the most considerate generous and gentle friends you could ever wish for and funny – f**k me he was funny.”
Sleggs – who played Slugs in the BBC Three show – had written on Facebook in May he had been receiving palliative care due to heart failure, before being sent home to “live out the remainder” of his days, telling fans that his “deterioration” was “fairly rapid”.
In his tribute, Cooper also acknowledged Sleggs’ strength of character in the wake of his terminal diagnosis.
He added: “Despite everything that Michael had been through in his life, he was never bitter or self-pitying. He just brought pure joy to everything and everyone. Just being in his company made you happy to be alive.”
Cooper rounded off his tweets with a touching quote from one of his friend’s favourite films.
He said: “One of Michael’s favourite films was the Muppet Christmas Carol and he would always joke that he was Tiny Tim so it only seems fitting to quote Kermit the Frog… ‘It’s all right, children. Life is made up of meetings and partings. That is the way of it. I am sure that we shall never forget Tiny Tim, or this first parting that there was among us.’ Michael you will be so so missed. Xxx”

OHMYGOSSIP — Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard share their first kiss on ‘Love Island’ during a boys v girls heart-rate challenge which sees the islanders give steamy lapdances.
The task begins with Molly-Mae Hague receiving a text which reads: “Islanders. Tonight, you will get each other’s hearts racing in a boys vs girls challenge. #dirtydancing #bringontheflutters”
The boys are then attached to heart-rate monitors which measures their pulse during dance routines from each female contestant. The roles are then reversed, with the boys dancing for the girls, before the results of which boy sent which girl’s heart pounding and vice versa are collected.
Maura spots this as her moment to turn up the heat on Curtis – whom she told she had a crush on earlier this week – and in the Beach Hut, she says: “I’ve got a bit of a plan up my sleeve. I just can’t wait to get to Curtis!”
What sets the boys hearts’ racing before the dances even start are the outfits worn by the girls: Maura prowls across the villa as a leather-clad cat, Anna Vakili takes no prisoners dressed as a cop, Molly-Mae blows the lads’ cobwebs away in a French maid outfit, and Amber Gill takes a burlesque costume for a spin.
Maura, as promised, takes full advantage of her show time and sends Curtis’ heart rate soaring when she leans over during her routine and kisses him.
Then, when professional ballroom dancer Curtis takes to the stage in modesty-squashing hotpants and a crown, he returns her kiss.
This raunchy night is after a day of high drama between the pair, who were both chosen by new Islanders Chris Taylor and Francesca Allen to go on a date.
Maura is far from pleased Curtis is snapped up for a date, but when she is picked by Chris for a date, she reveals how she intends to use the opportunity to spy on him, saying: “The poor lad [Chris] is going to be talking to me and I’m just going to be earwigging. I want to hear the way Curtis is behaving!”
‘Love Island’ airs on Wednesday night (10.07.19) on ITV2 at 9pm.

OHMYGOSSIP — Love Island’s Amber Gill couldn’t hold back her tears and as she confessed she still has strong feelings for ex Michael Griffiths in the upcoming episode of the dating reality show.
The 21-year-old beauty broke down as she admitted to her pal Anna Vakili that she doesn’t feel she can’t “switch off her feelings” for the fire-fighter, despite catching the eye of newcomer Chris Taylor, who entered the villa on Tuesday night’s episode (09.07.19).
Speaking at the fire pit, Amber said: “He ticks a couple of boxes but not enough to constitute me cracking on with him.”
Anna replied: “I know off initial attraction, it wasn’t there for you but it wasn’t there for you and Michael either.”
Amber then becomes upset and admits she still has feelings for Michael, insisting: “I can’t switch off my feelings. I still like Michael.
“Chris is lovely and he’s got tattoos and he’s tall but I just had something with Michael.”
Reflecting on Chris’ arrival in the Beach Hut, Amber added: “Having a new boy enter the villa tonight has made me realise that I still have feelings for Michael.”
However, Amber isn’t the only one who has caught the attention of Chris after he revealed he “does fancy” Belle Hassan after asking her on a date despite the blond beauty being paired up with Anton Danyluk.
Other new Islander Francesca Allen receives a text, which reads: “Francesca and Chris. This afternoon you will each be going on two dates, please now choose your first dates and ask them out. #decisionsdecisions #spoiltforchoice”.
After bonding over their love of dogs while on the date, Chris says to Belle: “I actually do fancy you. I could tell you’ve got a bit about you and I wanted to get to know you.”
Chris then asks Belle: “Do you think at this moment your head could be turned?”

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Hart was “in a very horrible place” with her mental health before quitting ‘Love Island’.
The air hostess – who quit the show earlier this week after getting her heart broken by dancer Curtis Pritchard – chose to leave the programme to protect her “sanity”.
She said: “I chose my mental health over the reality show. I was in a very horrible place over the last week, to be told that the gloves were off with Maura [Higgins] and I had to ‘brace myself’, like a storm. I knew I had to leave when I did. I’m kidding myself thinking that I can watch Curtis cracking on with Maura. It would be self-sabotage. It’s not nice. I have to put myself and my sanity first.”
The 26-year-old – who hails from Worthing – admits she felt “so numb” that she couldn’t even eat.
She added: “I’ve given up a place that 130,000 people applied for but I had to leave as I wasn’t myself any more. I was in absolute despair. I was grieving the loss of my first love, living in a house with him and watching one of my alleged friends get with him. I feel a million times better now I’ve left, but I defy anyone not to fall apart and be completely heartbroken. I was very confused. I couldn’t eat, I lost six pounds. I felt so numb. I didn’t feel hungry. When I wouldn’t eat, they would stand over me and make me eat a bowl of food or I couldn’t do the challenges.”
Amy is glad to see her fellow Islanders – including ex Curtis – are doing well in the villa as she wouldn’t have wanted to have “brought everyone down”.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “It looks like Curtis has cheered up a lot. If I saw that, I would have been beside myself. It would have been awful. If I’d stayed I would have brought everyone down.”
