“There has definitely been ups and downs but I feel really lucky.”
Danny would love to return to the villa after making some great friendships during his time on the programme.

John Turturro’s Big Lebowski spin-off set for ‘early 2020’ release

OHMYGOSSIP — John Turturro’s ‘Big Lebowski’ spin-off film is to be released “early in 2020”.
The 59-year-old actor announced in 2016 that he was working on the movie ‘Going Places’ which focuses on his ‘Big Lebowski’ character, creepy bowler Jesus Quintana.
It has now been revealed that the film has been newly titled ‘The Jesus Rolls’ and has finally been picked up for distribution next year by screen media.
The movie also stars Bobby Cannavale, Audrey Tautou and Susan Sarandon and is partly inspired by 1974 French comedy ‘Les Valseuses’ which starred Gerard Depardieu and followed two aimless thieves known for stealing, fighting and charming people who “inadvertently perform good deeds” to impress a woman they recruit to work with them.
Turturro and Cannavale will portray the two crooks with Tautou as their accomplice and Sarandon as an ex-convict who decides to join them on the road and criminal endeavours.
The film’s official synopsis reads: “A trio of misfits whose irreverent, sexually charged dynamic evolves into a surprising love story.
“But when they make enemies with a gun-toting hairdresser, their journey becomes one of constant escape from the law.”
In a statement, Turturro said: “It feels like a good time to release a transgressive film about the stupidity of men who try and fail and try better to understand and penetrate the mystery of women.
“I look forward to working with Screen Media and bring our work and the character of the Jesus to American audiences.”
Jeff Bridges – who starred as Jeffrey ‘The Dude’ Lebowski in the 1998 cult classic – previously revealed he was impressed with Turturro’s idea for a spin-off and would love a cameo but also spoke of his hopes for a genuine sequel to the original movie.
He said: “I’m hoping they make a little ‘Lebowski’ [sequel] because it’s all set up … I impregnated Maude. As The Stranger says, ‘There’s a little Lebowski on the way,’ you know?”

Aidan Turner: Fans can get ‘hands-on’ at Poldark screenings

OHMYGOSSIP — Poldark’s Aidan Turner says women can sometimes “get a little hands-on” when they meet him at screenings.
The 36-year-old actor plays Ross Poldark in the BBC drama, and while he admits his female fans can be a bit touch-feely at times, he never feels as though his “safety is in question”, and he can see how a woman might feel intimidated by a group of 20 men in a similar situation.
He said: “If I go to a BFI screening and 20 women come up and they want selfies, it can sometimes get a little hands-on.
“But I never feel my safety is in question. I never feel like I need to get out of there. I don’t get scared, so it’s different. Whereas a woman might, if it happened with 20 guys crowding around her.”
Aidan admits he endured a “really strange” final day on set, because he spent the whole day “in bed” with co-star Eleanor Tomlinson (Demelza Poldark).
He said: “The very last scene I shot was just myself and Eleanor in the bedroom. So we spent the day in bed together, which was really strange. No love scenes or anything – just having a chat. All day just talking in bed, which felt right.
“I don’t think we planned it to be that day; it just happened with the scheduling. So that was really quite poignant. I think we were both thankful for that.”
Fans of the series have been gripped by Ross and Demelza’s passionate but troubled relationship, and Aidan admitted it was “seamless” how the pair have generated such chemistry.
He added to Radio Times magazine: “It just seamlessly happened. We tuned ourselves to the same frequency. There’s a lot of respect we have for each other.
“Working with Eleanor has always been one of my highlights.”

Love Island’s Jourdan Riane left shocked by surprise dumping

OHMYGOSSIP — Jourdan Riane thinks she and Danny Williams were voted off ‘Love Island’ because viewers “thought they were safe”.
The 24-year-old model was surprised to be dumped from the island on last night’s (08.07.19) episode after the couple finished bottom of a public vote, but she doesn’t think people “dislike” the pair.
She said: “I was really surprised by the dumping.
“I don’t think people dislike me or Danny, I just think more people voted for other couples over us.
“I think because we were chilled and happy, people thought we were already safe.
“I’m such a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and I just think me and him are not meant to be in there anymore.”
Jourdan joked one of her highlights from her time on the ITV2 dating show was mistakenly saying Spanish city Barcelona is in Italy, and she also loved having “burping competitions” with Belle Hassan and Joanna Chimonides.
She added: “Me saying that Barcelona is in Italy! That was definitely a highlight. Me, Joanna and Belle had some really funny burping competitions.
“My highlights were getting to know the girls and being stupid and genuinely enjoying every minute of every day while I was in there.
“I would say my time in the villa has been a rollercoaster but absolutely incredible.
“I feel really grateful for my experience. It’s been nothing short of eventful or entertaining.
“I’ve made the best friendships which I didn’t think I would make in such a short space of time. I loved it.
“I have no regrets. I was myself. I was brutally honest. I made sure that everyone was on a positive vibe. I tried my hardest to make sure everyone was happy at all times.”
Jourdan is looking forward to taking her relationship with 21-year-old Danny to a “further romantic level” on the outside world.
She said: “I think me and Danny will actually get to date without cameras and microphones and other people.
“I came in looking for a best friend and we’ve already said that we have a really strong friendship if not best friendship.
“I feel like what’s next is to take that to a further romantic level. And to get to know each other in a normal world.”

Sue Nicholls to star in one-off ITV show to celebrate Corrie character

OHMYGOSSIP — Sue Nicholls is to star in a one-off ITV show to celebrate her ‘Coronation Street’ character.
The 75-year-old soap stalwart has written herself into Corrie folklore after starring as hair salon owner Audrey Roberts since 1979, and the legendary character will feature in documentary ‘Coronation Street Icons: Audrey Roberts – 40 Fabulous Years.’
According to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column, the programme will air this autumn and feature interviews with celebrity fans and Sue’s ‘Corrie’ cast mates.
The show will also include a number of highs and lows from Audrey’s time on the famous cobbles, from her introduction as Audrey Potter at daughter Gail’s (Helen Worth) engagement party to Brian Tilsley (Christopher Quinten) in 1979.
Sue portrayed the character on a recurring basis until 1982 before departing Weatherfield, and she then returned to the role in July 1984 and became a full-time character in 1985.
In April, ‘Corrie’ paid tribute to Sue 40 years after she appeared on the show by sharing a flashback video of her debut as Audrey on April 16th 1979.
The description read: “We have a very special anniversary today! 40 years since Audrey Roberts (played by the truly wonderful Sue Nicholls) first graced the cobbles.
“As part of these celebrations, let’s take a look back at Audrey’s (not exactly welcome to all) first appearance. (sic)”
In the scene, Audrey makes an unwelcome appearance at her daughter Gail’s celebrations after her husband-to-be Brian popped the question.
After an unenthusiastic greeting from Gail, Audrey said: “Oh God, one of these days you will sound glad to see me.”
Looking to Brian, she said: “Well, you could’ve done worse, love, much worse. At least he’s got all his teeth.”
And Audrey seems to be keen to hook up herself, asking Gail if she has sorted a man for her.
She said: “I’m fine, love as ever. I’m looking forward to tonight. Have you got a fella for me?”

Sam Womack: Schools are ‘too militant’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Womack took her daughter out of school because they are “too militant” nowadays.
The former ‘EastEnders’ actress home schools 14-year-old Lily because she was left feeling “quite cross” that parents cannot take their children out of school during term time, and she insists travelling the world can be “just as important” as learning algebra at times.
The 46-year-old star – who also has son Ben, 18, with husband Mark Womack – said: “I’ve taken Lily out of school. It got me quite cross that you can’t take your kids out of school for holidays and things. I just think that’s too militant.
“Children are creative little human beings and sometimes travelling to other countries for families that couldn’t afford to travel any other way is just as important as algebra.
“We tend to go towards the academic learning but …”
When asked how teachers are supposed to organise their classrooms if different pupils are on holiday at different times, Sam claimed: “What difference would it make to a classroom?
“Surely most of the state schools are over-subscribed anyway and half the children aren’t getting attention because the 30/32 kids per one teacher. Doesn’t it make it easier for the teacher if there is two less kids?
“If you were off with a bug for two weeks no one would be stressing out that they’d missed algebra for two weeks would they?”
Sam is currently starring in the stage production of ‘The Girl on the Train’, in which she plays alcoholic Rachel Watson, and she has been branded “bladder of steel” after chugging two litres of water during the play.
She said: “I’m going to wear that [saying] on the back of a sweatshirt now. I sink about two litres of water throughout the play, and I don’t go off-stage until the interval.
“And then I’m just in the toilet the whole time.”
Sam admits her former ‘EastEnders’ co-star Steve McFadden (Phil Mitchell) is the best person she’s seen at portraying a drunk character.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, she added: “He’ll be off set one minute talking about what you had for lunch, and then you literally just … I don’t know how he does it.
“His eyes go glassy. He’s one of the best drunk actors I’ve seen.”

Coronation Street’s Maria Connor to date dog fetishist

OHMYGOSSIP — Coronation Street’s Maria Connor is to date a dog fetishist in a new plot.
The hairdresser – played by Samia Longchambon – is set for a shock in an upcoming episode as her search for love results in a date with a man who enjoys dressing up as a dog.
She told Metro.co.uk “Maria thinks he is a goth because he has a collar on, so she says she is into all of that as well and he obviously thinks she’s the perfect woman.
“She tells him she used to work at the kennels and was barking around – she meant to music but he thought literally barking.”
The date then spirals further out of control until it becomes clear how the pair have their wires crossed.
Samia said: “She asks to see the pictures as he says he has all of the accessories and then the picture shows him dressed as a dog … his name is Rex, too.”
But things could be looking up for Maria because Samia – who signed a new 12 month contract with the show earlier this year – revealed her character’s romance with Ali Neeson (James Burrows) blossoms because of this disastrous date.
She said: “Maria is saying she is full as she just wants to leave and Ali offers a doggy bag. And Maria is annoyed at him making fun of him and Maria’s like, ‘Well so what if he likes to dress as a dog?’ ”
Samia has starred on ‘Corrie’ since 2000, and recently admitted she “doesn’t trust people as much” as she used to before joining the ITV soap.
She said: “I like to think I would spot the signs of murderers now, as she’s been engaged to a couple of them.
“I think Maria trusts people too easily. I don’t trust people as much, but I think that’s part of being in this industry.”

Corrie’s Gary Windass to be ‘long-term villain’

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’ bosses want Gary Windass to be a “long-term villain” and more of an “anti-hero” than Pat Phelan.
Mikey North’s character will confess he is responsible for the death of Rana Habeeb (Bhavna Limbachia), who died when the Underworld factory roof collapsed on top of her, next week, but concerned fans need not worry about the 32-year-old actor leaving Weatherfield anytime soon.
He said: “Our producer Iain MacLeod says this is by no means an exit storyline.
“Obviously producers come and go, but Iain has specified this is not planned as Gary’s exit and they want to keep him as a long-term villain, more of an anti-hero than in the Pat Phelan mould.”
Gary has also bumped off evil loan shark Rick Neelan (Greg Wood), and Mikey has teased his alter-ego’s “increasingly calculated side” will come out soon.
He added to RadioTimes.com: “Saying that he has become more calculated because he’s had to, although he hasn’t killed in cold blood so far.
“With the factory roof he wasn’t intending to kill, it was financial desperation. Then Rick was trying to kill him so he defended himself.
“That increasingly calculated side to Gary will come out.”
Mikey recently admitted he feels “blessed” to have worked alongside soap villains Neelan and Phelan, who Gary took on last year and his mum Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) ended up stabbing the builder to death.
He said: “It’s a challenge but it’s been great. I’ve been blessed in working with two great villains, Phelan and now Rick which has been really enjoyable.
“Gary has often tried to bully people, like Seb down the years, but when he comes up against people like Rick, he realises he’s not so good at it after all.”

David Attenborough calls for ‘more expensive’ flights

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir David Attenborough says flights should be “more expensive” to save the environment.
The ‘Our Planet’ narrator believes the price of flights are “extraordinarily cheap” and they should be increased to save the environment, because he’s not sure how else it would “restrict” people from taking plane trips.
While speaking to a Select Committee about climate change and environmental damage, he said: “I think one way of reducing these things is to count the cost of air travel in real terms in terms of the environment.
“And if you cost that you would see that the tickets are extraordinarily cheap.”
When asked by a member of the committee if people should be restricted from taking holiday flights and they should reduce their travel expectations, the naturalist replied: “I don’t know how you would restrict it other than economically.”
David has warned of “great social unrest” in 20 to 30 years’ time.
He said: “We’re changing the climate in a way that’s irreversible. In our grandchildren’s lifetimes it will be irreversible if we go on the way we are.
“I’m arguing that unless we do restrict it to some degree they’re going to have a much bigger and more serious collapse.”
The multi-BAFTA winner then reflected on his own use of air travel, which he admitted is a “paradox”.
He added: “I certainly worry that the job I do involves me travelling. I have travelled by air only too frequently in the last six months in order to make programmes, some of them programmes about the very subject that we’re talking about, which is, I daresay, a paradox.”
Throughout the meeting David stressed the need for action, but when asked if he was optimistic for the future, he did offer hope.
