Chris Rock’s Saw reboot set for release in May 2020

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Rock’s ‘Saw’ reboot has been moved forward to May 2020.
The re-imagining of the $1 billion horror franchise, which will be helmed by director Darren Lynn Bousman, was due to hit the big screen on October 23, 2020, but is now slated for release on May 15, 2020.
The movie will star Chris, 54, as well as Samuel L. Jackson and the screenplay has been penned by Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg, who wrote the script for the eighth instalment of the franchise, ‘Jigsaw’, based on a story by Rock.
It was previously announced that the Chris had partnered with Lionsgate to create “a really intense and twisted” reboot of the series, which already comprises eight feature films and was created by James Wan and Leigh Whannell.
Bousman, 40, previously teased that “no one is ready” for the “insanity” in the forthcoming remake.
The filmmaker previously posted on Twitter: “Start shooting the new Saw film in just a few days. Something I never thought I be typing again! Gotta be honest. No one is ready for the insanity about to bleed out on screen!”
The original series follows psychopathic serial killer John Kramer, known as the ‘Jigsaw Killer’ or ‘Jigsaw’, who traps his victims in horrifically perilous situations that he calls “games” to test their will to live through physical and psychological torment in a bid to rehabilitate them for their perceived sins.
Announcing the reboot, Rock said: “I’ve been a fan of ‘Saw’ since the first film in 2004. I am excited by the opportunity to take this to a really intense and twisted new place.”

Amy Hart ‘hopes’ Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins last

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Hart “hopes” Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins have a relationship outside of the ‘Love Island’ villa.
The blonde beauty walked out of the famous abode after she was dumped by dancer Curtis – who has since coupled up with ring girl Maura – and Amy insisted that despite her heartbreak she wants the pair to continue their romance when they leave the show, but fears life on the outside world may get in the way.
Speaking on Capital Breakfast, she said: “I hope so, otherwise what’s the point of them being in there to meet someone, to see a future with?
“But yeah, like I say, make each other happy, that’s fine, but I don’t know, with any couple in the villa, when you get outside and you have your own friends and your own work schedules and your family’s different and your life’s very different on the outside.
“It is going to be different so I’m looking forward to seeing which couples go the distance.”
Amy went on to joke that Curtis was the most “untrustworthy” islander after he locked lips with Jourdan Riane earlier this month and claimed he “mugged her off on national television”.
When co-host Roman Kemp asked who the “most untrustworthy Islander?” is, she replied: “Oh, I don’t know, there’s so many [laughs]. There’s not!”
Roman responded: “I mean, based on your experience, you’d have to say Curtis, surely?”
Amy replied: “Based on my experience, yeah, I mean, yeah, I did trust him and then he mugged me off on national television. ”
Roman said: “Or is it Michael [Griffiths]? Ok, there you go – what’s the worse situation, was it Michael’s situation with Amber [Gill] or was it your situation with Curtis?
Amy replied: “At least Amber walked back in and knew what was going on.
“My mum said the worst moment of the whole series for her was when I walked back in and looked really relieved and my mum was like, ‘No! Get back!'”

Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse get ‘competitive’ about their health issues

OHMYGOSSIP — Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse are “very competitive” about their health issues.
The ‘Gone Fishing’ stars and close pals have both had surgery in the past for heart conditions, and the ‘Fast Show’ comedian, 61, admitted there’s a lighthearted edge to their friendship.
He said: “He’s very proud of his ‘Zipper Club’ scar, where he had his open-heart surgery, but I’m thinking of having another stent put in to make it four versus his triple bypass.
“We’re very competitive. He says I go on about my left knee all the time, well, that’s because I had my bloody cruciate given out and it gives me grief.”
Despite the friendly competition Bob, 60, admitted he was “scared” before undergoing the procedure four years ago, but Paul encouraged him to join him fishing to make sure he wasn’t just sat around at home.
Bob told Radio Times magazine: “The surgeon said to me that half the people who have this operation go and sit on the sofa for the rest of their lives because they’re scared to do anything, and the other half get on and do something.
“I was very much in that sofa area, so I was extremely glad when Paul got in touch. It’s the kind of thing he does, he’s a very caring man.
“I’d been fishing from the ages of 12 to 14 and I’d agreed to go fishing with Paul before my operation, so he didn’t have to insist.”
And Paul explained he has been inspired by the way his friend takes each day.
The ctor added: “He takes it all in, it’s like he can’t believe where he is, the nature all around – there’s a wonderment to him.”

Greg O’Shea granted leave from Love Island villa

OHMYGOSSIP — Greg O’Shea was granted leave from the ‘Love Island’ villa to attend his grandmother’s funeral.
The Irish rugby player was allowed to temporarily leave the show and fly to Dublin after his beloved grandmother, Monica Ho, passed away at her nursing home on Friday (19.07.19), and his family have praised ITV2 producers for this “unprecedented” move.
Speaking to Limerick Live 95, Greg’s father Niall O’Shea said: “Monica passed away peacefully on 19th July 2019, in the care of Talbot Lodge Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family…
“Greg is a very good family man and his mother wanted to make sure he was there because himself and his Nan got on well.”
A representative for ‘Love Island’ confirmed Greg was given the chance to fly to Dublin for the funeral, and revealed he has since returned to the villa.
They told the Mirror: “Owing to a bereavement, at the wishes of his family, Greg was away from the villa for a day to attend a funeral.
“Everyone at ‘Love Island’ extends their sympathies to Greg and his family and we have since welcomed him back to the villa.”
Since joining the show Greg has caught the eye of Amber Gill, who snubbed fire-fighter ex Michael Griffiths to re-couple with him.
The brunette model was in two minds about who to partner up with last week after Michael declared he still had feelings for her – even though he ditched her for Joanna Chimonides a few weeks ago while she was away in Casa Amor – but ultimately decided on the rugby player because he makes her happy.
Speaking to Greg after the recoupling, Amber said: “It was really hard … but if I’m genuinely honest I wouldn’t accept it on the outside so why would I accept it in here?”

Love Island villa erupts as Jordan Hames admits doubuts over Anna Vakili romance

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Love Island’ villa erupts as Jordan Hames’ head is turned by India Reynolds.
The 24-year-old hunk is currently paired up with fellow Islander Anna Vakili, 29, but during Tuesday’s (23.07.19) episode he admits to Curtis Pritchard, 23, that he’s starting have doubts about their relationship.
He says: “At the time I asked her to be my girlfriend, it felt normal and natural and it was the right thing to do. But I feel like I may have rushed into it.
“I feel like over the past couple of days I’ve had a few good conversations with India. I actually get on with her really well.
“I’m finding myself looking forward to bumping into her in the villa and having a conversation with her.”
Although Jordan doesn’t think there’s “anything wrong” with his and Anna’s relationship, he knows he has to try to figure out his feelings.
Opening up in the Beach Hut, he admits: “Since India has come into the villa, we get on really well. Obviously, she’s a good looking girl.
“It’s definitely something I’m going to process in my head and decide what to do in due course.”
After sleeping on it, Jordan seems to have realise his mind is on India, and the next evening Curtis fills Maura Higgins in on the situation.
When he tells her Jordan is “confused”, Maura instantly wants to tell Anna when she spots them chatting on the sun deck.
She says: “Is he going to do that before talking to Anna? I don’t believe this!”
While Curtis tries to explain what’s going on in his friend’s head, she sits with Anna at the swing seat to talk.
She says: “He’s cracking on with India. He likes India… Curtis told me. He’s pulled her for a chat right now.”
It remains to be seen how things will unfold, but Anna heads straight over to Jordan and India to interrupt their conversation and get some answers.

Love Island’s Ann Vakili accuses boyfriend Jordan Hames of using her

OHMYGOSSIP — Love Island’s Anna Vakili has accused her boyfriend Jordan Hames of using her to get to the final.
The brunette social media influencer was left fuming in tonight’s (23.07.19) episode after she found out that the model had developed feelings for newbie India Reynolds – who is partnered up with Ovie Soko – and was planning to break up with her in order to crack on with the Page 3 girl.
Anna fumed: “You asked me to be your girlfriend so that you can get through to the finals because you’re a game player. Why would you ask me to be your girlfriend. Boyfriend. Tch, no wonder you’ve had one relationship and you’ve f**ked over 100 girls. Makes f***ing sense.”
The slanging match lead to Anna’s friends – Maura Higgins and Amber Gill – jump to her defence as they too began screeching at Jordan for his “disrespectful” behaviour.
Although he poured his heart out to India and told her that he really enjoys talking to her, it seems she doesn’t feel the same way as she told him she classes him as one of her “mates.”
Jordan’s sneaky antics have also caused tension between Maura and her partner Curtis Pritchard as the professional dancer told her what was going on between the hunk and India.
She then told him that she was going to tell Anna because she’s one of her “best friends” and she couldn’t just let her sit there and get “mugged off” while Jordan was cracking on with the model.
As she stormed off towards Anna, Curtis told her that he was “p***ed off” because Jordan had told him about his feelings for India in the strictest of confidence.
It’s not yet known whether Anna and Jordan and Curtis and Maura will survive the feud.
Tomorrow night’s (24.07.19) episode will see one couple dumped from the island.

Love Island to air twice a year

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’ is set to air twice a year from 2020.
Early next year, the ITV2 show will move to a brand new villa in South Africa for a winter sun version of the show, while the summer series will return to Europe later in the year.
Paul Mortimer, Head of Digital Channels and Acquisitions at ITV said: “Off the back of a record-breaking year, we’re delighted to be bringing an extra series of our biggest and sunniest show to the 2020 schedule. ‘Love Island’ has proven yet again to be the perfect format that engages younger audiences. In response to this viewer appetite, a new batch of young singletons will deliver some highly anticipated post-Christmas romance and drama from our new and luxurious location.”
Angela Jain, Managing Director ITV Studios Entertainment said: “We love making ‘Love Island’ for ITV2. The show’s success is testament to the magnificent production team that decamp to Mallorca every year to deliver the award-winning show with its trademark warmth, wit and wide-ranging appeal. And now 2020 is going to have even more love than before.”
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Caroline Flack will present both series of the show.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “ITV bosses have been thrilled with the popularity of the show this year and enjoyed bumper viewing figures so it seemed like a no brainer to fill the January reality TV slot left by ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
“Caroline is now synonymous with the show so it wouldn’t seem right to have anyone else hosting it. They’ll use the same production crew too so it should all run like clockwork.”
And producers are in talks with comedian Iain Stirling to do the voiceovers for both shows.
According to ITV, ‘Love Island’ is the most watched programme of the year for adults aged 16-34, across any channel.
The show has also broke the six million viewers mark for the first time, in terms of four-screen consolidated viewing (TV, PC, mobile and tablet).

Amy Hart supporting Anna Vakilis amidst cheat row

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Hart has sent a message of support to her ‘Love Island’ co-star Anna Vakilis after she accused Jordan Hames of cheating on her.
The air hostess – who left the villa after being dumped by Curtis Pritchard – had admitted it was tough watching the scenes that aired during Tuesday night’s (23.07.19) show where Jordan started “cracking on” with India Reynolds, despite asking Anna to be his “chick” just days ago.
She wrote on Instagram: “I don’t miss being in the villa, but I do miss my friends. Anna was there for me during my darkest times and I’m absolutely gutted I’m not there to help her through this awful time. Love her so much and can’t wait to see her soon.”
In explosive scenes, Anna accused her boyfriend of using her to get to the final after she found out that the model had developed feelings for newbie India – who is partnered up with Ovie Soko – and was planning to break up with her in order to crack on with the Page 3 girl.
Anna fumed: “You asked me to be your girlfriend so that you can get through to the finals because you’re a game player. Why would you ask me to be your girlfriend. Boyfriend. Tch, no wonder you’ve had one relationship and you’ve f***ed over 100 girls. Makes f***ing sense.”

The Weeknd joins cast of Adam Sandler’s Uncut Gems

OHMYGOSSIP — The Weeknd has joined the cast of Adam Sandler’s upcoming movie ‘Uncut Gems’.
The 29-year-old singer will made his big screen debut when he stars opposite the 52-year-old actor in the upcoming Safdie Brothers film, which sees the latter play a jewellery store owner and dealer whose life gets turned upside down following a robbery.
There are no details about who The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, will play.
Idina Menzel will play the long-suffering wife of Adam’s store owner, who is battling a gambling addiction and trying to sustain two relationships while also dealing with his increasing debts.
Judd Hirsch will also star in the Netflix movie as Sandler’s father-in-law, while Eric Bogosian and Lakeith Stanfield are among the supporting cast.
The crime thriller is set in New York’s diamond district and TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival), which will premiere the movie, has given the following description for the flick: “From acclaimed filmmakers Josh and Benny Safdie comes an electrifying crime thriller about Howard Ratner (Adam Sandler), a charismatic New York City jeweler always on the lookout for the next big score. Margot Robbie’s personal connection

OHMYGOSSIP — Margot Robbie says having a “personal connection” with Sharon Tate in ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ “meant a lot to her”.
The 29-year-old star plays actress Sharon in the upcoming movie and Margot was touched when Sharon’s sister Debra leant her a piece of jewellery that used to belong to the late actress.
She told E! News: “It made me feel closer to her in a way that I don’t think I could have. Reading things and watching things can only really get you so far, but having that personal connection meant a lot to me.”
Margot previously confessed she is like a “kid in a candy shop” when she goes to work and she certainly related to the enthusiasm her ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ director Quentin Tarantino had every day on set because she shared in his excitement for doing something so “amazing” as a job.
She said: “Everyone asks me, ‘How is it? How is he on set?’ I’ve been on sets for pretty much the last 10 years and I still walk on and think, ‘This is so cool! That’s amazing!’ I’m like a kid in a candy shop. Then Tarantino arrives and he’s got the same, if not more, enthusiasm and he’s really excited. It’s his film set and he’s not jaded at all – he’s just so happy to be there.”
The ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ star never expected to be a big Hollywood star – and even her family were still expecting her to return home to study.
She said: “Growing up, I never knew acting was a realistic career option. I was a girl from Dalby in Australia, who thought that only Americans could become famous actors, even though there were several major stars who came from my country. As a child, I dreamed of becoming a magician or a hotel owner. And in a way that dream came true because, as an actress, I entertain people with illusions and I often get to stay in the most beautiful hotels. What’s also funny is that when I started acting, my family thought it was a hobby. It took them a couple of years to realise that being an actress is a profession and it was only when they came to visit me in New York and I showed them the giant poster for ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ in Times Square that they became convinced I was never going to go to university.”

Love Island’s Amber snubs Michael for new boy Greg

OHMYGOSSIP — Love Island’s Amber Gill has snubbed her ex Michael Griffiths for new boy Greg O’Shea.
The brunette model was in two minds about who to partner up with in tonight’s (19.07.19) recoupling after the firefighter declared he still had feelings for her – even though he ditched her for Joanna Chimonides a few weeks ago while she was away in Casa Amor – but ultimately decided to choose the rugby player because he makes her happy.
Speaking to Greg after the recoupling, Amber said: “It was really hard … but if I’m genuinely honest I wouldn’t accept it on the outside so why would I accept it in here.”
Although Michael was devastated that Amber didn’t pick him, he’s told his friend Anton Danyluk that he’s not worried because the recoupling “doesn’t mean anything.”
He said: “I knew it was going to happen … It doesn’t mean anything the fact they’re coupled up. I’m not going to sit back and say I don’t have feelings for Amber when I do.
“I might have f**ked things up on the outside [with Joanna] and I might have f**ked things on the inside [with Amber] but I got everything off my chest.”
Amber was left heartbroken a few weeks ago when she came back from Casa Amor to find out that Michael had dumped her in order to make a go of things with Joanna.
He’s continuously claimed he has no feelings for Amber and could only see a future with Joanna, but refused to leave the villa when the social media influencer was kicked out earlier this week – even though he said he’d “found” what he was looking for in her.
Hours after Joanna left, Michael pulled Amber aside and told her he still liked her.
But it coincidentally came after she returned from a date with new boy Greg.

Will Poulter’s culture shock

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Poulter had a “culture shock” shooting ‘We’re the Millers’
The 26-year-old actor enjoyed shooting his debut Hollywood film with Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis and Emma Roberts but admitted it was “daunting” being the only English person on set.
He told Britain’s Marie Claire magazine: “As fun as it was, it was pretty daunting.
“The process of shooting was quite difficult and being the only English person on set was a bit of a culture shock.
“it was my first time alone in America but Jason was so good to me. I learned a lot watching him.”
As well as support from Jason, Jennifer also offered a lot of help to Will, which he thought was “crazy”.
He said: “She’s someone I was a fan of – my sister and I are mega ‘Friends’ fans – so that was crazy getting the opportunity to work with her and learn how lovely she is, and super funny
“When you think of someone like Jen, they are in a position of experience and authority on set so it’s nice they open up to people like myself, who was looking for some guidance.”
The actor did such a convincing job on the film, fans are often shocked to realise he’s British.
He said: “My goal with accents is not offending people and it being conceivable that I originate from the place my character is from.
“It’s odd people think I’m American though. It creates a weird added layer of complexity to being recognised.
“I can be in Sainsbury’s in East London and someone will ask if I’m from ‘We’re the Millers’ and I say yes in an English accent and they don’t believe me! I want the ground to swallow me up!”

Ben Affleck’s Chasing Amy sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Affleck’s ‘Jay and Silent Bob Reboot’ cameo is an “eight-page ‘Chasing Amy’ sequel”.
Ben and director Kevin Smith previously worked together on the 1997 romantic comedy ‘Chasing Amy’ but had a long-lasting falling-out which Kevin blamed on his own “big mouth”.
However, after an entertainment reporter asked Ben at a junket if he would be open to the reboot, Ben replied positively, leading Kevin to call the star but he admitted that figuring out how to fit Ben, 46, into the movie was a struggle.
He told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I had a good sleep on it, and I woke up and I was like – Ben played Holden, who was the co-creator of Bluntman and Chronic in the mythology of our movies and stuff, so I could pull him into the third act. Basically, there’s a scene that is the emotional culmination of the flick, that’s his scene, that didn’t exist prior. It was like, one throwaway visual moment. But with him going like, ‘I’ll come out and play Holden,’ we were able to do an eight-page sequel to ‘Chasing Amy’, right in the middle of ‘Jay and Silent Bob Reboot’.
“And he gave us, like, it’s one of the best scenes – if not the best scene – in the movie. It’s incredibly emotional, it’s some of his best performance, definitely some of my best writing. And it’s in a ‘Jay and Silent Bob’ movie! That, to me, is the trick, that to me is like – after 25 years in this business, I’ve gotten to a place where I can take the least likely vehicle and put stuff in it to deliver to your heart that you might be surprised by.”
And Kevin, 48, took to Instagram to gush about Ben’s “absolutely magical and life-affirming” cameo in the film.
He wrote: “When the trailer for @jayandsilentbob Reboot dropped (link in my bio), folks found out a few of our secrets – one of the biggest being that @benaffleck is back as Holden McNeil! The co-creator of #bluntmanandchronic and friend of #jayandsilentbob plays a crucial role in the Reboot and his scene is one of the best bits of cinema I’ve ever been involved with: it’s absolutely magical and life-affirming and all the things I really care about now.”

Love Island’s Joanna praises Amber Gill for Michael snub

OHMYGOSSIP — Joanna Chimonides has praised her ‘Love Island’ love rival Amber Gill for snubbing Michael Griffiths during Friday’s (19.07.19) recoupling.
Amber chose new boy Greg O’Shea, despite her ex Michael – who dumped her for Joanna before Joanna was evicted from the villa – claiming he still has feelings for her and Joanna took to Instagram to share her reaction.
Joanna said: “‘I am actually really proud of her, I’m not going to lie.
“That was probably one of the hardest decisions that she was going to have to make and she did so well. Good on her!”
Amber was torn about who to partner up with after the firefighter declared he still had feelings for her but ultimately decided to choose the rugby player because he makes her happy.
She said: “I’ve got one boy we’ve had history, we’ve had ups and downs but I can’t deny there’s a connection there and then I’ve got another guy that’s come in and put a smile back on my face when I’ve been miserable.
“I didn’t shut him down after five minutes which was a good sign! It’s been hard for me to handle and it’s hard to choose whether to go with your heart or your head. Or whether you should go for a mixture of both, it’s been hard.”
Speaking to Greg after the recoupling, Amber said: “It was really hard … but if I’m genuinely honest I wouldn’t accept it on the outside so why would I accept it in here.”
Although Michael was devastated that Amber didn’t pick him, he told his friend Anton Danyluk that he’s not worried because the recoupling “doesn’t mean anything.”
