OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are teaming up for a new movie.
The ‘Good Will Hunting’ writers and actors are set to star in ‘The Last Duel’, about warriors in 14th century France, which will be directed by Sir Ridley Scott.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the duo will adapt Eric Jager’s book ‘The Last Duel: A True Story of Crime, Scandal, and Trial by Combat in Medieval France’ for the big screen, along with Nicole Holofcener.
The book tells the real-life story of two French knights and best friends, who become enemies after one returns home from the war and accuses the other of raping his wife.
The pair are sentenced to duel to the death where if the accuser loses, his wife will be found guilty of falsely accusing his best friend and will be burned at the stake.
Along with writing and starring, Matt, 48, and Ben, 46, are also producing the movie through their Pearl Street Films production company.
This will be the first movie that Matt and Ben have written and starred in together since the Oscar-winning 1997 movie ‘Good Will Hunting’, which propelled them both to Hollywood fame.
Matt previously revealed he and Ben wanted to star on screen together again but simply did not have the time.
He explained: “The big issue is time for us. We have a company together so we work on a lot of projects together, but to try to carve out the time is really tough.
“I would never say never. I’d love to be in one of his movies that he directs. The problem there is that he just keeps giving himself the best roles, so until he stops doing that and maybe just directs, none of us can really work with him.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tommy Fury is set to earn £100,000 when he leaves the ‘Love Island’ villa.
The professional boxer – who is currently coupled up with Molly-Mae Hague on the ITV2 dating show – is reportedly set to rake in an impressive £5000 an hour with a series of club appearances following his departure from the infamous villa.
A source told The Sun Online: “Tommy Fury is set to cash in over £100K between next month and New Year’s Eve. He’s attending numerous night club PAs up and down the country. He’s been the most popular booking for all the clubs as they know he will pull in all the young female fans. But Tommy won’t come cheap and is charging £5K for an hour. He has 20 confirmed between now and the end of 2018.”
Tommy’s famous brother Tyson Fury previously advised his sibling against appearing on ‘Love Island’ as he was worried the 20-year-old might get “carried away being a reality TV star” rather than concentrate on his boxing.
He said: “I thought, he’s a good looking lad. He might get carried away being a TV reality star rather than a fighting man – and it’s the last thing he needs to do when he’s trying to become a professional fighter. I said, ‘Nah, it won’t be a good idea that, you’ll mess up what you’re doing in your career. You’re on a roll, keep with boxing.'”
However, Tyson now thinks it was a “good move” of Tommy’s to join the show, because more people will want to see him box.
He added: “He’s got more of a following than if he would’ve had 40 professional fights. So I think it’s a very good move. People will want to come and see him fight.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan Barton-Hanson says women are better lovers than men.
The former ‘Love Island’ bombshell – who is currently dating ‘TOWIE’s Demi Sims after coming out as bisexual last month – has revealed that she finds women more “attentive” in bed.
Speaking to The Daily Star, Megan, 25, said: “I have experience with men and women and women are definitely better lovers. They are more attentive. They want to please the other person. Men are happy as long as they are having a good time.”
And Megan says her partners have no complaints about her performances between the sheets.
She said: “I’d say I’m pretty good in bed. I’ve had my fair share of practice.”
And Megan insisted she would never fake an orgasm.
She said: “I would never fake an orgasm. I’d explain, ‘Hun, you need to do this, this and this. You’re not going to sleep just because you’re done’.
“For me part of the enjoyment is to please the other person. I want them to have a good time too. It might be a bit awkward at the time but you’re better off saying it.”
Megan has joined forces with Ann Summers for the company’s Orgasm Gap Manifesto campaign and she is passionate about encouraging women to be more open about their desire for sex.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sue Johnston has revealed she has been cut from the ‘Downton Abbey’ movie.
The 75-year-old actress played Gladys Denker in the hugely popular period drama series – the lady’s maid to Dame Maggie Smith’s Violet Crawley, the Dowager Countess of Grantham – but although she was originally in the script for the upcoming film, her character’s involvement was dropped by writer Julian Fellowes.
Speaking to Radio Times magazine, she said: “Denker was the first in the script and then the script disappeared. Imagine how I felt!”
Despite not appearing in the film, the former ‘Coronation Street’ star has fond memories of filming the show and recalled an incident while with Maggie, 84, which “broke the back of shyness”.
She said: “Maggie and I were doing a scene. Maggie comes in from dinner and sits on the chair and I get down to do her boots, then we have to cross to the dressing room.
“And we’re talking, taking. We go to get up and neither of us can move. She can’t get off the chair and I can’t get off the floor!
“And I think that broke the back of shyness. I think she’s had her knee done since then and I’ve had my back op.”
The movie will see the return of fan favourites including Hugh Bonneville as Lord Grantham and Elizabeth McGovern as Lady Cora Crawley and Elizabeth, 57, previously teased that the movie is for viewers who have “loved getting to know the characters” and she hopes the film lives up to the fans’ huge expectations.
She said: “I think so, it’s certainly our intention. I haven’t seen it yet but it is for the fans, it’s for the people that stayed with the show that loved getting to know the characters who have been through very much.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Joel Dommett is set to host new ITV show ‘The Masked Singer’.
The comedian-and-presenter – who was the runner-up on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ three years ago – has landed his first prime time gig on the channel with bosses signing him up to be the face of the exciting new talent show after a successful stint fronting quiz show ‘Hey Tracey!’ this summer.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “Joel has impressed head honchos at ITV and they think he is the perfect fit for this zany show.
“They’re hoping he can help make this new series a hit, especially after ‘The X Factor’ and ‘The Voice’ have failed recently to bring the big audiences.”
‘The Masked Singer’ – which first started in South Korea with a US version pulling in 12 million viewers earlier this year- will see 12 stars disguised in costumes head-to-toe as they sing in front of a panel of celebrity judges.
ITV’s Head of Entertainment Commissioning Siobhan Greene preciously said: “Not very often, a show comes along that seems to abandon all the rules … and this is it. ‘The Masked Singer’ is original, bold, funny and a proper guessing game, that we hope will have the nation hooked. We all loved it from the moment we saw it and are so excited to be bringing it to a UK audience.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tamer Hassan has praised the ‘Love Island’ producers for looking after the contestants’ wellbeing, including his daughter Belle Hassan.
The make-up artist’s actor father admits he has been worried about what effect the ITV2 reality dating show could have on make-up artist Belle when she leaves the programme but insists the support on offer for the Islanders this year is first rate.
Speaking on Channel 5 current affairs TV show ‘Jeremy Vine’, he said: “I do worry about it. My daughter’s very lucky because she’s grown up in the industry and around it. She was actually terrified of fame, she didn’t like it.
“The producers I will stand for, they are now checking on them, looking after them and making sure that they know where they’re going after this and are aware of what’s going on. They’re protecting them.”
Concerns for the stars’ wellbeing comes after the suicides of former ‘Love Island’ contestants Sophie Gradon and Mike Thalassitis.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ actor thinks it is absolutely essential that the young contestants are given the appropriate support as they are thrust into a world of fame after the programme that they may not be prepared for.
He added: “It’s the same as footballers, you go and give them 50 grand a week and not helping them or guiding them or have something in place to take care of them, they’re gonna go off the rails.”
Tamer – who is friends with his ‘Football Factor’ co-star Danny Dyer, whose own daughter Dani Dyer was crowned the winner of the 2018 series with her now ex-boyfriend Jack Fincham – has been watching Belle on the show every night.
The 51-year-old big screen tough guy isn’t worried about the rows that Belle has been having with her boyfriend Anton Danyluk because she’s been standing up for herself as a strong young woman.
Tamer said: “It’s a game show, its reality TV. My daughter, being my daughter, I know she wouldn’t tolerate this behaviour on the outside so she’s not going to tolerate it on the inside.
“I’m sure everyone who has a daughter from 17 to 21 with boyfriends knows. The rows they have indoors is so much bigger than what’s going on in there. It was a little tiff, it was a lovers’ tiff. They quickly moved on from it and got over it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jonny McPherson thinks Liam Cavanagh is becoming a “nerdy” comedy character.
The ‘Emmerdale’ star – who has played the doctor on the ITV show since 2014 – joked that bosses have turned his alter ego into a combination of actor Hugh Grant, and Steve Coogan’s comic creation Alan Partridge.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper’s Hot TV column, he quipped: “Increasingly, I’m being written as a cross between Hugh Grant and Alan Partridge, but I’m delighted about it as it’s lots of fun.
“It’s all about enhancing aspects of yourself. In real life I’m not as geeky and awkward!”
The 37-year-old actor will take the character in another direction on the soap when he dresses up as a sheriff for a Wild West themed show.
However, he had to do some work to get into the part, including training on horse riding and watching classic films.
He revealed: “I had a day with a fella called Mark who trains people to ride horses. He’s done ‘Poldark’ and everything.
“And to prepare, I watched ‘The Good, The Bad And The Ugly’ all the way through.
“We wanted to emulate the Lee Van Cleef way of looking right and left as much as possible.”
It will be an eventful day for Doctor Cavanagh as he returns to the village for girlfriend Bernice Blackstock’s (Samantha Giles) Wild West Fundraiser and she decides to propose to her partner.
She swoons when she sees her man – who announces a surprise is coming at the end of the day – dressed as the sheriff, and it remains to be seen if her proposal will go to plan.

OHMYGOSSIP — Isabel Hodgins won’t go on Tinder because she’s an “old romantic”.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actress – who plays Victoria Sugden – split from boyfriend and former co-star Mike Parr (Ross Barton) earlier this year when he quit the show and moved to America for work, and while she’s enjoying single life she doesn’t want to turn to online dating in her search for love.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said: “I personally wouldn’t go on Tinder – but I know there are people here who are. It is harder to meet someone when you are in the public eye.
“Someone could meet you and then find out later you are on the telly and that might change things.
“If I was to meet someone I wouldn’t even know where to start. It is all too modern for me – I want courtship, love letters. I am an old romantic.”
The 25-year-old soap star explained she isn’t putting much pressure on herself to find a new partner, and she’s more focused on her work and family life.
She added: “I’m enjoying being by myself. But to be fair I haven’t got time for a relationship with work, my dog, going back to Manchester to see my family. I am so busy.
“I feel like being on my own and being single, I am just working out who I am. I am really enjoying it. I am just finding me again because I was a half of a couple and now I am just me and I am liking it.
“If someone did the whole romance thing I might be swayed, but I certainly won’t be swiping!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Netflix has begun production on their first two series in Southeast Asia.
The streaming service is working on ‘The Ghost Bride’ and ‘The Stranded’ in Malaysia and Thailand respectively.
One is an adaptation of the best-selling novel of the same name, directed by locals Quek Shio Chuan and Ho Yuhang, and the other is about a group of students who are left fending for themselves after a tsunami hits their school on a private island and is being helmed by Sophon Sakdaphisit.
Netflix’s director of international original programming, Erika North, told The Hollywood Reporter: “There’s a huge concentration of film talent in Southeast Asia.
“From a Netflix perspective we really think about content in a holistic way.
“We’re really thinking about the way we can engage with producers and content creators across the spectrum, from licensing through to originals.”
On their aims, he added: “Over the last year and a half we have been identifying some of the great programming that exists in these markets, on the TV and film side, and bringing that to a greater audience.
Executive producer Ekachai Uekrongtham, also head of Bravo! Studios, GMM Studios International, added how excited he is that Netflix are giving genres which would never be seen around the world due to lack of funding a chance to go global.
He said: “The idea of giving Thai content expansive global distribution through Netflix really excites me.
“It opens up many new possibilities in terms of the stories that we want to tell the world and also the kind of genres which we may have no had the opportunities to do either because of budget constraints or local market demands.”
The dates and details on the two Southeast Asian original series is coming to Netflix later this year.

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Rock’s ‘Saw’ reboot has been moved forward to May 2020.
The re-imagining of the $1 billion horror franchise, which will be helmed by director Darren Lynn Bousman, was due to hit the big screen on October 23, 2020, but is now slated for release on May 15, 2020.
The movie will star Chris, 54, as well as Samuel L. Jackson and the screenplay has been penned by Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg, who wrote the script for the eighth instalment of the franchise, ‘Jigsaw’, based on a story by Rock.
It was previously announced that the Chris had partnered with Lionsgate to create “a really intense and twisted” reboot of the series, which already comprises eight feature films and was created by James Wan and Leigh Whannell.
Bousman, 40, previously teased that “no one is ready” for the “insanity” in the forthcoming remake.
The filmmaker previously posted on Twitter: “Start shooting the new Saw film in just a few days. Something I never thought I be typing again! Gotta be honest. No one is ready for the insanity about to bleed out on screen!”
The original series follows psychopathic serial killer John Kramer, known as the ‘Jigsaw Killer’ or ‘Jigsaw’, who traps his victims in horrifically perilous situations that he calls “games” to test their will to live through physical and psychological torment in a bid to rehabilitate them for their perceived sins.
Announcing the reboot, Rock said: “I’ve been a fan of ‘Saw’ since the first film in 2004. I am excited by the opportunity to take this to a really intense and twisted new place.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Sandler has announced the cast for his upcoming Netflix movie.
The 52-year-old actor-and-producer is working on a Halloween themed movie for the streaming service and, according to Deadline, the film’s cast will include Sandler’s long-time collaborator Rob Schneider who has starred alongside him in films such as ’50 First Dates’, ‘Little Nicky’ and ‘Grown Ups’.
The movie will also star ‘Modern Family’ actress Julie Bowen who appeared in Sandler’s 1998 comedy ‘Happy Gilmore’, ‘The Good Place’ actress Maya Rudolph and ‘Miracle Workers’ actor Steve Buscemi, both of whom starred in ‘Grown Ups’ and ‘Saturday Night Live’ comedian Kenan Thompson.
Other cast members include Ray Liotta, Michael Chiklis, China Anne McClain, Paris Berelc, Tim Meadows, Colin Quinn, June Squibb, Shaquille O’Neal, Karan Brar, Noah Schnapp, Mikey Day, Melissa Villasenor, Kym Whitley, Lavell Crawford, Betsy Sodaro, George Wallace and Blake Clark.
Sandler’s last foray with Netflix was this year’s comedy film ‘Murder Mystery’ which starred Sandler and Jennifer Aniston as a married couple who are caught up in a murder investigation on a billionaire’s (Luke Evans) yacht.
The film was released last month and according to Netflix, nearly 31 million accounts in North America viewed the new film over its first three days, an opening weekend record for the streaming service.
In 2014, Sandler signed a four-movie deal with the streaming service with his Happy Madison productions and in 2017 agreed to make another four and his works so far include ‘The Ridiculous 6’, ‘The Do-Over’, ‘Sandy Wexler’, ‘The Week Of’ and ‘Father of the Year’.

OHMYGOSSIP — David Hedison has died at the age of 92.
The late star was known for his roles as Fleix Leiter in the ‘James Bond’ franchise and passed away peacefully with his children at his side in Los Angeles on July 18.
In a statement, his daughters Alexandra and Serena said: “Even in our deep sadness, we are comforted by the memory of our wonderful father. He loved us all dearly and expressed that love every day. He was adored by so many, all of whom benefited from his warm and generous heart. Our dad brought joy and humour wherever he went and did so with great style.”
David starred alongside the late Sir Roger Moore in the 1973 007 film ‘Live and Let Die’ and then again in 1989 alongside Timothy Dalton with ‘License to Kill’ – becoming the first star to portray the character twice.
David was also known for his work as Captain Lee Crane in the sci-fi television series ‘Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea’, in which he co-starred with Richard Basehart, and the show ran from 1964 to 1968.
Hedison signed a film contract with 20th Century Fox in May 1957 and his first movie with the studio was the 1957 war film ‘The Enemy Below’ which also starred Robert Mitchum followed by his role as crazed scientist turned human insect in the first iteration of horror classic ‘The Fly’.
David lost his wife Bridget Hedison – a producer who worked on the 1980s Aaron Spelling shows ‘Dynasty’ and its spin-off ‘The Colbys’ – in 2016 at the age of 71 following a battle with breast cancer.
He is survived by his daughters Serena and Alexandra, who is the wife of Hollywood star Jodie Foster.

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Hart “hopes” Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins have a relationship outside of the ‘Love Island’ villa.
The blonde beauty walked out of the famous abode after she was dumped by dancer Curtis – who has since coupled up with ring girl Maura – and Amy insisted that despite her heartbreak she wants the pair to continue their romance when they leave the show, but fears life on the outside world may get in the way.
Speaking on Capital Breakfast, she said: “I hope so, otherwise what’s the point of them being in there to meet someone, to see a future with?
“But yeah, like I say, make each other happy, that’s fine, but I don’t know, with any couple in the villa, when you get outside and you have your own friends and your own work schedules and your family’s different and your life’s very different on the outside.
“It is going to be different so I’m looking forward to seeing which couples go the distance.”
Amy went on to joke that Curtis was the most “untrustworthy” islander after he locked lips with Jourdan Riane earlier this month and claimed he “mugged her off on national television”.
When co-host Roman Kemp asked who the “most untrustworthy Islander?” is, she replied: “Oh, I don’t know, there’s so many [laughs]. There’s not!”
Roman responded: “I mean, based on your experience, you’d have to say Curtis, surely?”
Amy replied: “Based on my experience, yeah, I mean, yeah, I did trust him and then he mugged me off on national television. ”
Roman said: “Or is it Michael [Griffiths]? Ok, there you go – what’s the worse situation, was it Michael’s situation with Amber [Gill] or was it your situation with Curtis?
Amy replied: “At least Amber walked back in and knew what was going on.
“My mum said the worst moment of the whole series for her was when I walked back in and looked really relieved and my mum was like, ‘No! Get back!'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rylan Clark-Neal has thrown his support behind new ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge Motsi Mabuse.
The 30-year-old presenter – who hosts spin off show ‘It Takes Two’ – has backed the incoming star as she prepares to join Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and Shirley Ballas on the panel following the departure of Dame Darcey Bussell.
Discussing the backlash over the decision to about pro dancer Oti Mabuse’s sister, he told RadioTimes.com: “Darcey was a great judge but I mean we can go as far back as Bruno, Len [Goodman] and Arlene [Phillips].
“There was uproar when Arlene left, and there was uproar when Len left. Then Shirley came in and everyone thinks she’s great. These things happen. People move on.”
Rylan admitted he’s hoping the new arrival can take over Craig’s mantle as “the nasty judge” by channeling ‘X Factor’ and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ boss Simon Cowell’s infamous edge.
He explained: “Craig’s always the nasty judge, but pantomime nasty. I love Craig and that’s why he works, but I would love a really nasty judge.
“Like Simon Cowell but even worse. Someone who would say, ‘You were terrible. You should be ashamed of yourself.’ ”
Meanwhile, Motsi’s appointment has gone down well with the ‘Strictly’ pro dancers, with Neil Jones hailing her as “one of the greatest female dancers” of a generation.
He wrote: “Congratulations to @MOTSI_MABUSE who has just been announced as the new judge on @bbcstrictly she is one the greatest female dancers of her time and I can’t wait to welcome her to our Strictly family.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Martin Hughes-Games says he is an “endangered species” on television because he is “white, middle-class, old-aged”.
The former ‘Springwatch’ presenter left the show in 2018, just months after he was reinstated by the BBC following an outcry at his axing from the programme, but he insists he is an “endangered species” on the small screen now because of his race, class and age.
Asked if he would return to the show, he said: “Oh, don’t ask me that. I think the commissioner’s a bit grumpy with me, because I’m white, middle-class, old-aged … Who wants me on their show? I’m an endangered species. Let’s hope that conservation efforts keep me going, rather than going extinct. White, middle-class, old-aged presenters are actually quite good at their jobs.”
Martin is still close to his former co-stars Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan, but he misses them “terribly”.
He added: “We email and text each other all the time. In fact, I sent Chris a YouTube clip of a Second World War fighter only yesterday. And I have been to see Michaela in South Africa, where she lives. I’m still very much in contact with them. I miss them very, very much indeed. Michaela, Chris and I had a lovely chemistry which was the most wonderful thing to be a part of. It was just great, it really was.”
The 63-year-old presenter doesn’t tune into the show anymore since he left, as he finds it “very difficult” to watch.
He told Radio Times magazine: “Do you know what? I find it very, very difficult to watch. I do a bit, but I feel so close to them, both professionally and emotionally, that I often find myself adjusting the tappets on one of my old motorbikes or something rather than watching it, because it hurts … My abiding memory is laughing an enormous amount with Chris and Michaela. Working with them on the programme was one of the happiest times that I ever had in 40 years in telly. I texted Chris the other day and told him I’m dreaming about him every night. It’s odd … Very weird.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bobby Norris says he won’t let trolls “win”.
The 32-year-old reality star has insisted that although he does get “hurt” by cruel comments on social media, he’s learned to have a “thick skin” over his eight years on ‘The Only Way is Essex’ and feels nasty jibes say “more about the troll” than the person they target.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, he said: “Everyone says you’ve gotta have a thick skin and you do but I think we’d all be lying and wouldn’t be human if it didn’t hurt.
“And it’s just curiosity that you wanna know what people are saying about you but I’m a big believer, it says a lot more about the troll than it does the person they’re trolling.
“There’s like professional trolls out there, they set up these accounts just to try and upset you and this is the thing you can’t let them win.”
Bobby went on to explain that his life was changed overnight by the fame he received on ‘TOWIE’ and that he feels most people he meets in person are “lovely” and that he thinks online bullies are only brave enough to make vindictive comments while hiding behind a screen.
He said: “I suppose it’s really different with ‘TOWIE’ because it goes out every week, literally your first episode goes out one night and your life is sort of, it changes.
“So I remember going for a spray tan the day after and people stopping me and it’s lovely that’s the massive thing.
“99 per cent of the people they’re so lovely and I don’t think trolls would ever really say what they feel brave enough on twitter or social media.”
Bobby launched the campaign ‘Bobby’s Bill’ to ban homophobic trolling online, and he recently admitted he’s received more hate online since he announced his plans to take action.
He said: “My petition’s to make online homophobia a crime, cause on social media, ironically, since speaking about it on ‘TOWIE’ and various media and platforms, it’s gotten worse for me; but I’m not doing it just for me, I’m 32, I’ve got thick skin, I’ve been in the industry for eight years, I can handle it.
“I mean, I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t hurt me and upset me, of course it does I’m human, but when I get messages from parents that are telling me that their children are hurting themselves, like self-harming and actually some of them are taking their own lives because of on-line homophobia, it’s disgusting.
“If I can use my platform to save one more kid from killing themselves, to me, job done.”
