Love Island’s Anton was hospitalised with dehydration

OHMYGOSSIP — Love Island’s Anton Danyluk was hospitalised after he became dehydrated.
The Scottish gym owner – who was dumped from the ITV2 show alongside Belle Hassan last night (28.07.19) – has opened up about the mystery illness that made him leave the villa for 24 hours earlier in the series, revealing he suffered from dehydration while working out in the gym.
He told The Sun Online: “I had a bit of a fever and I went to see the medic, and basically they just wanted to send me to hospital to double check everything.
“It turned out I was a little bit dehydrated. I was drinking loads of water, but I must stress that ITV checked you are drinking enough every single day, they check you once and then again at dinner time.
“The problem was I was training in the heat, and I was drinking a lot of coffee, so it was just overnight they had to re-hydrate me and put a drip in me.”
Anton was missing from the July 17 episode as he received treatment, but then returned to the villa and admitted his time away made him realise how much he missed his fellow Islanders.
He said: “With regards to me going back it was amazing, it gave me time to miss everyone in that period of time.
“And in the villa it feels like my home, I felt like part of the furniture, so was soon as I left it felt weird and I was just dying to get back.”
Anton was disappointed at being dumped from the villa, because, as one of the original Islanders, he was keen to see the show out until the end.
He said: “Being the first guy in I wanted to be the last guy to leave, but it was a strong line up in the end.
“With regards to me and Belle I am a changed man in terms of I would never cheat, I want to see where mine and Belle’s relationship goes, and I’m going to give it a really good shot.”

Simon Cowell sobbed after reuniting with Britain’s Got Talent’s star

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell sobbed after reuniting with a ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ star whose £175,000 spinal operation he funded.
The ITV show boss was lost for words during Saturday’s (27.07.19) audition after 17-year-old Julia Carlile – who suffers from scoliosis and was told she may never dance again – took to the stage for the first time since he paid for her op to correct her curved spine in August 2017.
According to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column, he said: “All I want to talk about is one person’s strength and, beyond that, the friendship and support you all have, which we saw the first time we met you.
“To see you able to come back tonight … It just means everything.”
After only managing a few words, he left his judging desk to compose himself on side of the stage.
Julia, who dances with group Merseygirls, left the entire audience at London’s Wembley Arena in tears by showing how well her treatment has worked, by performing back flips on the stage.
‘BGT’ judge Alesha Dixon said: “That just made my heart soar. Simon, I love you, I love what you’ve done for her.”
Julia said: “I thought that now I would be at home not dancing for the rest of my life – but here I am back flipping with my best friends.
“I couldn’t walk two years ago and now I am here.
“Simon, thank you so much. I don’t think I have ever been so happy as I am right now.”

Charlie Hardwick’s ‘sulky’ Emmerdale end

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlie Hardwick became “very defensive” and “sulky” when she discovered her ‘Emmerdale’ character was being killed off.
The 58-year-old star portrayed Val Pollard on the ITV soap from 2004 to 2015, and while she wanted to leave the programme to taste new challenges, she was disappointed show bosses opted to bump her alter-ego off.
She said: “When I found out they were going to kill her I was absolutely devastated.
“I wanted to leave. I played her for so long and I wanted her to go off and find Amy somewhere and live in Ireland until the sun sets.
“But no, she was killed. I got very defensive about it and a bit sulky and huffy, and then I pulled myself together.”
Despite the initial “shock”, Charlie accepted it was right for her character to meet her maker – which occurred when a shard of glass fell on her as she lay injured in a Hall of Mirrors following a helicopter crash in the village – because the soap is “all about storytelling”.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, she added: “It was a shock but it’s always the case. If they are going to find a better story for you as an out that way then … because it’s all about storytelling and that’s what you’re signing for.”
Charlie recently admitted she found it “tiring” shooting 12 episodes a week on ‘Emmerdale’.
Speaking about her new role on ‘Ackley Bridge’, she said: “I am happy for the slower pace. It’s measured. There’s a single camera so there’s time to rehearse, time to discuss how you should do the shots.
“It’s proper film making. It gives you the time to do the work to the best of your ability.
“At ‘Emmerdale’ sometimes you’d be filming 12 episodes a week. It was tiring.”

William Shatner would love to be in Quentin Tarantino-directed ‘Star Trek’ movie

OHMYGOSSIP — William Shatner would love to be part of a Quentin Tarantino-directed ‘Star Trek’ movie.
The 88-year-old actor – who played James T. Kirk in the original 1960s television show – would love to reprise his role one day if Tarantino was directing it.
He said: “Quentin Tarantino said something in the paper that somebody said to me, that he loved me. [looks into camera] And Quentin, I love you.
“If you’re going to do Star Trek 50 years later, a few pounds heavier, come on. Not a problem! Well, I’d like to do it. Whether I’d be up for it, I don’t know.”
Tarantino previously confessed if he commits to directing ‘Star Trek’ then it will be his final film.
He said: “I guess I do have a loophole, [if] the idea was to throw a loophole into it. Which would be [to go], ‘Uh, I guess ‘Star Trek’ doesn’t count. I can do ‘Star Trek’ … but naturally I would end on an original. But the idea of doing 10 isn’t to come up with a loophole. I actually think if I was going to do ‘Star Trek’ I should commit to it. It’s my last movie. There should be nothing left-handed about it. I don’t know if I’m going to do that, but that might happen.”
Karl Urban – who plays Doctor McCoy in the new ‘Star Trek’ films – previously spilled that the ‘Pulp Fiction’ filmmaker’s idea for a ‘Star Trek’ film is “bananas”.
The actor said: “Quentin Tarantino went in to J.J.’s offices and pitched him an idea for a ‘Star Trek’ movie. I know a little bit about what that is, and it’s bananas … It would be really rad to get to make a film with him. That would be a dream come true, he is definitely an auteur. Whether you like his films or not, he is a good filmmaker. And he makes interesting stuff. So, to me, that is when you get the best results.”

Jordan Peele: Horror movies can have social messages too

OHMYGOSSIP — Jordan Peele thinks “all great” horror movies have a “social message”.
The ‘Us’ filmmaker is thrilled with the success of his horror film and he loves how the unique mix of horror and comedy helps people to express things.
In a clip from the DVD release of ‘Us’, Peele said: “I think horror and comedy are a really great way of exposing how we feel about things. I find the comedy that emerges from a scene in a horror film is very necessary to release the tension and give the audience the opportunity to emotionally catch up and get prepared for the next run of terror … I think all great horror has a social message of some sort, when it works it’s tapping into something that we’re suppressing. I have a definite world of things that I’m trying to say with this film, all relating to our duality as human beings and the guilt and sins that we bury deep within ourselves and I’m curious to see what the audience sees in it.”
Jordan previously confessed he fears falling short of fan expectations with his most recent movie project, similar to how he felt about his directorial debut ‘Get Out’.
He reflected: “You know, it doesn’t feel too different. With ‘Get Out’, I had the fear that if it went wrong, it would go terribly wrong.
“I don’t have that fear with this movie, but of course there’s the fear of betraying the expectations of somebody who wants, essentially, ‘Get Out 2’, and what happens when they realise this is a very, very different movie.”
Jordan explained that race issues are less prominent in ‘Us’ compared to his directorial debut. And the acclaimed filmmaker is confident that it will throw up a few surprises for the audience.
He said: “Scores of people will walk into this movie waiting for the racial commentary, and when it doesn’t come in the form they’re looking for, they’ll be forced to ask themselves: ‘Why did I think a movie with black people had to be about blackness?'”

Lacey Turner names baby Dusty

OHMYGOSSIP — Lacey Turner has named her baby Dusty.
The ‘EastEnders’ actress previously suffered two miscarriages, so she is particularly grateful for her and husband Matt Kay’s “miracle” arrival after giving birth to daughter Dusty Violet Kay.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Lacey said: “It wasn’t on our original list but we did an internet search for ‘pretty girls’ names’ and we both said it at the same time.
“Dusty’s our little miracle – we call her special K.
“You hear so many horror stories about labour but I feel lucky to be able to say I had a really lovely time.”
The 31-year-old actress’ first miscarriage happened after her and Matt’s wedding in Ibiza in 2017, and the second in April 2018.
Lacey – who plays Stacey Fowler in the BBC One soap – and Matt underwent tests to determine medical issues.
He said: “I think everything happens for a reason and it does make Dusty being here more special – we’re so lucky to have her in our lives.”
The actress went into labour on July 12th, five days before her actual due date, and the couple didn’t know they were having a baby girl.
Matt said: “When she first came out they handed me the baby and asked me to reveal the gender.
“For a second, I thought it was a boy, as I saw the umbilical cord. I thought, go on son. I then cut the umbilical cord, which was surreal.”
After her two miscarriages, Lacey had 12 scans while pregnant with Dusty to ensuring everything was progressing well.
She said: “We did have more, as I found it reassuring after losing two babies, but once I felt her kicking I didn’t panic as much and didn’t go as much.”

Hollyoaks’ Anna Passey ‘worried’ about new Sienna Blake direction

OHMYGOSSIP — Anna Passey was “worried” about her ‘Hollyoaks’ character’s recent new direction, for fear viewers would “miss” her “dark side”.
The 34-year-old actress’ alter-ego Sienna Blake has had a tough time in the village but she recently landed a job as a teacher and started making “better decisions”, but Anna was concerned fans wouldn’t react too well to her character’s life changes.
She said: “The last few months really have been a bit of a new age for Sienna. She’s working as a teacher, a job that she loves and is good at.
“When they took this new direction with her I was a little worried as I thought the viewers would miss that darker side to her but I’ve been so lucky, they just seem to love Sienna.
“I think it’s because they’ve been there with her, they’ve witnessed everything she’s been through.”
However, sly Sienna is still lurking as she hatches a plan to kidnap a set of twins who she believes are her own children, Sophie and Sebastian, who were taken away from her by evil Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas).
Anna said: “Since she started working at the school she’s managed to pick her life up. And what we’re seeing now is a really tough and strong Sienna.
“She’s making much better decisions. Whether she makes the right choice about kidnapping the twins is another matter. The old Sienna is still in there.”
The plot will see a brief return for Jamie before a lengthier comeback later this year, and Anna is pleased to be working alongside the former ‘EastEnders’ star again.
She added to the Daily Star newspaper: “It’s all really exciting and of course I love working with Jamie so I’m very much looking forward to his full-time return.”

Hollyoaks’ Parry Glasspool shuts down suspicion about Harry death

OHMYGOSSIP — Parry Glasspool has insisted his ‘Hollyoaks’ character is well and truly gone, in response to a fan who questioned his exit.
The 27-year-old star bowed out of the Channel 4 soap as Harry Thompson last week after six years on the show when his character was stabbed by serial killer Breda McQueen (Moya Brody), and following his departure he made several Instagram parody videos to say goodbye to his co-stars.
In response to one about Kieron Richardson (Ste Hay), a fan wrote: “These videos must mean something. I mean noone else did these videos (sic)”
But Parry replied: “i just milked the fact i was going, had a laugh, nothing to it im afraid! (sic)”
Harry became Breda’s eighth victim last week, and following his alter-ego’s death Parry paid tribute to his former co-stars for helping him grow “as a performer and a person”.
He said: “My time at ‘Hollyoaks’ has been a rollercoaster, which has helped me grow both as a performer and a person.
“I’m so grateful to have worked with and learnt from the likes of Nick Pickard, Kieron Richardson and Gregory Finnegan, whose combined experience has been invaluable to me.
“Thank you also to our executive producer Bryan Kirkwood who gives us all so much support, it’s been brilliant to be part of the ‘Hollyoaks’ team.”
Breda had initially set out to kill Harry’s dad Tony Hutchinson (Nick), but her attention was then drawn to Harry when she found out he was planning to run out on his newborn son.
Parry added: “As a side note, I really do hope someone, anyone finds out what Breda has been doing – because now it’s personal.”

Eva Longoria’s directing superpower

OHMYGOSSIP — Eva Longoria has a “superpower” for directing.
The ‘Desperate Housewives’ star is set to make her directorial debut on a female comedy, before turning her talent to a movie about her Latino community and she thinks she will do a great job because she will be “able to navigate those worlds in a very specific way”.
Speaking at the HollyRod Foundation’s 21st annual DesignCare Gala, she said: “Both are really extensions of worlds I know. As a director I’m able to navigate those worlds in a very specific way. And I have a superpower for both.”
Eva didn’t feel she was “reaching her full potential” as an actress.
She said: “I knew when I was on set [as an actress] I wasn’t reaching my full potential as a human being, and I love telling people what to do – I’m really good at it. I say this confidently, not arrogantly. I’m a really good director because I’m a woman, because directing is about problem-solving and I think woman are the best problem solvers in the world.”
And Eva previously admitted her “goal” is to direct and produce.
She said: “My goal has always been to direct and produce. I want to see my stories reflected on the big and small screens. I want more control over my destiny in this industry. Economic mobility is one way to empower Latinas. Latinas are the CEOs of the household finances and health decisions. I want to give women the tools to make sure they become engines for good.
“I want to be the female George Clooney. He directs, produces and stars. I want to be in charge of the final product. Everyone goes, ‘Oh, she’s an actor – turned – director,’ and I’m like, ‘No, I was always a director and a producer who happened to become an actor.'”

Ryan Reynolds teases Deadpool involvement with Marvel

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Reynolds has teased his ‘Deadpool’ character could be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The 42-year-old actor has seemingly hinted his own superhero could join Phase 5 of Marvel’s story arcs.
Celebrating the five year anniversary of the ‘Deadpool’ test footage leak, he wrote on Instagram: “Investigation heading into year 5. Or as I call it, ‘Phase 5’. The point is, I love conspiracy yarn. #LeakAversary (sic)”
Meanwhile, creator Rob Liefeld previously insisted ‘Deadpool 3’ will “totally happen” and he will start working on the next movie “soon”.
Speaking to a fan on Twitter, he said: “It will totally happen!!! Soon! (sic)”
He said earlier this year: “Nothing like deadlines to clear your head… let me be clear Deadpool 3 will happen, some form, some fashion.
“That’s not a concern to me. Disney paid $60 billion for Fox and Deadpool is most valuable asset in today’s market. Makes more than X-Men films. (sic)”
And ‘Green Lantern’ star Reynolds previously admitted to feeling lucky to have been handed the role of Deadpool, describing it as a “limitless” experience.
The 42-year-old star said: “It’s pretty limitless. I would say it’s the role that I feel most privileged to have in my entire career. I feel like I was sort of born for it – I love Deadpool. The hardest thing on this set was keeping a straight face, but that’s what a mask is for!
“There are takes in the movie where I know I’m cracking up laughing under the mask but I’m doing it silently, but I’m supposed to be listening to something serious. It’s in there. If you watch you can kind of feel it.”

Eamonn Holmes given detention after IRA bomb made him late

OHMYGOSSIP — Eamonn Holmes was given detention after the IRA blew up his school bus.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter was on the way to school when he was 14-years-old when his bus was boarded by a man wearing a balaclava, who started pouring petrol over the vehicle.
He said: “Our bus was hijacked on the Antrim road. And this man wearing a balaclava came on and said, ‘We are commandeering this bus for the Irish Republican Army.’ He started sprinkling petrol everywhere so we get off. And they throw a petrol bomb on to the bus and set it on fire. So we walk the next mile-and-a-half to school.”
However, Eamonn’s teachers had no sympathy for the horrors that occurred that morning and instead, the journalist and broadcaster received detention for his tardiness.
Speaking to friend Kate Thornton on the podcast ‘White Wine Question Time’, he added: “Nowadays in this caring snowflake society they would say, ‘Are you OK? We will get a counsellor to speak to you.’ And I would be suffering PTSD for the rest of my life. But what did I get? Detention! I got detention for the IRA hijacking my bus. It was my fault basically.”
The Irish native also revealed a time where he was stopped for having the wrong documents whilst on the way to watch Manchester United play football.
He explained: “We arrived into Liverpool docks and were arrested because my dad didn’t have any identification on him. He didn’t have a driving licence or anything. Special Branch were standing there and they pulled us aside and they kept my father. I was absolutely terrified, 10 years of age and standing there saying, ‘What’s happening? You are taking my dad.’ We are arrested. We were detainees.
“Luckily on the same boat was our fantastic GP, Dr Paul McKeown, a man of note. I remember this row he got into saying, ‘I have taken the Hippocratic Oath and you doubt my word that this man is who he says he is. How dare you.’ He squealed in the face of these two cops so they had to release us.”

Greg O’Shea pens poem for Amber Gill at Love Island final

OHMYGOSSIP — Greg O’Shea pens a poem for Amber Gill as they make their declarations during the ‘Love Island’ final.
The final episode of the ITV2 show airs on Monday night (29.07.19), where one couple will be crowned the winners and awarded £50,000.
In the feature length episode, the remaining islanders – Greg and Amber, Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague, Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins and Ovie Soko and India Reynolds – will be asked to make a declaration to their partners.
In Greg’s speech, he says: “I’m going to keep this short and sweet, just like when we first came to meet. Up in the Hideaway sheltered from the trouble, we instantly connected and formed our own little bubble.”
Whilst in response, Amber noted her ups and downs with ex Michael Griffiths before thanking Greg for “building her back up”.
She said: “It would be fair to say that I’ve had quite a journey in the villa this summer. There have been so many highs and then some lows, but then along came Greg. Thank you for helping to build me back up. You’ve always been so sweet and lovely to me and you’ve managed to bring out my soft side.”
Tommy had also penned some sweet words for Molly-Mae but shunned them to speak to her from his heart.
He told the blonde beauty: “This isn’t me. I want my heart to speak to you, not my mouth. From the first moment I walked up into the Hideaway, I instantly knew I had seen the most beautiful girl on this entire planet. You’re absolutely everything I’ve ever wanted in a girl.”
Whilst Molly-Mae told the professional wrestler: “Tommy. For someone whose career depends on fighting other people, you’re the gentlest person I’ve ever met. You’re my best friend and the most incredible dad to our Elly-Belly. Thank you for showing me kindness and nothing but pure love every day.”
The ‘Love Island: Live Final’ airs on Monday night (29.07.19) at 9pm.

It Chapter Two: The Vaults Experience coming to London

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘It Chapter Two: The Vaults Experience’ will be launched in London in August.
Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have announced that a huge immersive experience based on the hotly-anticipated Andy Muschietti horror sequel – which features an ensemble cast led by James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain and Bill Hader – will be coming to the UK capital.
The experience will be taking over the Vaults in Waterloo on August 31 ahead of the movie’s release on September 6 and will feature sets from the film and show sneak previews of terrifying scenes from the movie in an all-encompassing interactive adventure for fans of the horror franchise.
The forthcoming follow-up to the hit 2017 film based on Stephen King’s iconic 1986 novel will see the return of The Losers Club as adults as they are again tormented by Pennywise the Dancing Clown and the event will let ticket holders follow in the footsteps of the Derry residents who are terrorised by Pennywise.
The event will spawn over 11,000 square feet of bespoke sets built into the underground maze of disused railway tunnels.
Jessica, 42, plays the adult version of Beverly in the film and previously teased that one of her scenes in the movie is the bloodiest in horror movie history.
She said: “That’s what I was told on set. It wasn’t real blood, obviously – 4,500 gallons of fake blood. I was immersed in it. “Basically, it’s kind of like a mixture of KY Jelly with red dye. The director was telling me about the scene and he said, ‘It’s only going to go up to your chest.’ And I said, ‘This is our opportunity to really make something crazy. Let’s do ‘Carrie’ on steroids.’ I fully went in the blood, which I regretted a lot afterwards. I was pulling stuff out of my eyeballs the next day.”

Belle Hassan likes ‘wounded animals’

OHMYGOSSIP — Belle Hassan had her eye on “wounded animal” Anton Danyluk before she even entered the ‘Love Island’ villa.
The make-up artist was a late entrant to the show and though she originally liked Tommy Fury, she didn’t want to make a move on someone who was already “taken” and her dad, actor Tamer Hassan, has admitted she was already attracted to the Scotsman before arriving in Casa Amor.
Speaking to Jimmy Hill on ‘The Capital Evening Show’, he said: “I said ‘Who have you got your eye on then?’ She said, ‘I like Tommy but he’s taken.’ I say ‘OK’ and she says ‘Anton is a bit of a weeb but I like him.’
“My daughter bless her, she never goes for looks, size, body shape. She always goes for the wounded animal.”
The ‘Business’ star urged Belle to take part in the show because it would be the “best experience” of her life.
He said: “I said if nothing comes in it’s my baby, you’re going to have the best holiday of your life and have the best experience of your life and you come back and say that – can hold it in your life forever.”
Things have been rocky between Anton and Belle and the ‘Game of Thrones’ star warned the gum owner to sort out his “antics” if he wants their romance to survive in the outside world.
He said: “If he does those little antics outside he’s gonna have problems isn’t he? Well not with me, from her – we’re all scared of Belle!
“But no listen he’s a good kid. And even Anton’s mum I hear, she didn’t agree with him kissing another girl in front of her.
“So I think it’s great, the mother in law’s on our side – we’re good.”
