OHMYGOSSIP — AJ Pritchard has insisted that his mother wasn’t shaming Maura Higgins’ tattoo on ‘Love Island’.
Maura – who was coupled up with AJ’s brother Curtis Pritchard – met his parents during a special episode of the show and fans were annoyed to see his mum Debi pointing out Maura’s lipstick mark tattoo on her bum and repeatedly calling her the wrong name.
However, AJ explained to The Sun Online: “Because my mum’s a personal trainer she probably wanted to see how toned it was.
“I’ve got a tattoo, my mum’s fine with that. As long as it’s a nice one, she’s not bothered about it.”
And he believes his mother is happy that professional dancer Curtis, 23, has coupled up with 28-year-old model Maura.
AJ – who praised his brother for not having sex on ‘Love Island’ – said: “I honestly do think everyone really likes her, as long as Curtis is happy, mum’s happy, that’s all a mother wants for her son.
“I think the great thing is their personalities together, she has her fiery side, but she’s also quite innocent. You can kind of see that self re-assurance and she needs someone to say no and Curtis is the one to do that.
“As much as they joke, its 95 per cent her way, five per cent his way. He will actually say something and that’s what a real relationship is and will work on the outside.”
Meanwhile, Anna Vakili has admitted she “doesn’t really know” what Maura sees in Curtis.
The 29-year-old pharmacist praised her fellow contestant for not being “fake” in the ITV2 villa, but questioned why she is with the ballroom dancer.
Anna said: “I feel like Maura really likes him because she won’t fake anything but Curtis – I don’t really know what she sees in him.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins has signed up to the rebooted ‘MTV Cribs’.
The show, which saw celebrities inviting viewers into their luxurious homes, is returning after a 10-year hiatus, and MTV have lined up a host of stars, including Jess Wright and Megan McKenna, for the new series.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, vice president of MTV UK Kelly Bradshaw, said: “With its firmly cemented status as a cult hit program, ‘Cribs’ remains one of the most-loved shows in MTV history.
“The new series is set to be warm and funny, giving MTV audiences a sneak peek into how their favourite stars live.”
Gemma will take fans on a tour of her Brentwood pad for the reboot of MTV classic show.
Essex natives Jess and Megan will also be making an appearance, as will newlyweds Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen, who will show viewers around their house and introduce fans to their two dogs, Winnie and Reggie.
Former ‘Love Island’ stars Eyal Booker and Georgia Steel will also open up their new homes to the public, and fans can expect to see ‘TOWIE’ favourite Joey Essex and Charlotte Dawson give a sneak peak of their huge houses.
Diversity dancer Perri Kiely, who appeared on ‘Celebs Go Dating’, will be showing off his ultimate bachelor pad, and his pals Ashley and Jordan Banjo will make a surprise appearance at his house.
British boxing champion Amir Kham will also appear on the programme.
The channel launched a Snapchat original series that featured guests including Bella Thorne.
The series first aired in 2000 on MTV in the US and continued for 17 seasons, featuring the likes of Kim Kardashian, Robbie Williams and Beyonce.
‘MTV Cribs’ will consist of eight 30-minute episodes which were filmed in the spring.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Lomas will make his full time return to Hollyoaks next year.
Jamie’s fan-favourite, bad-boy character Warren Fox is set for an explosive return to the Channel 4 soap in 2020 as the show celebrates its 25th anniversary.
Executive Producer, Bryan Kirkwood said: “Warren Fox is one of our greatest ever characters and our most dynamic, complex villain. Jamie Lomas is a leading man who we can’t wait to have back.”
Jamie added: “Warren is back in the village and when the Fox is back, trouble isn’t far behind him. The village best be on their toes because there is plenty of unfinished business.”
Jamie will return to film full-time before Christmas and his scenes will air in the New Year.
Lomas made a brief return to the soap earlier this week, as part of the heart-breaking climax to Sienna Blake’s (Anna Passey) twins kidnap plot, where she was sure that she had found her missing children who Warren snatched last year.
However, as she prepared to run off with them, her loved ones persuaded her that they weren’t her children and she gave them up, only for Warren to arrive and take them back to Spain.
Jamie, 44, started playing Warren in 2006 and he quit the soap in 2009 before making several reappearances but he recently said that returning to the soap is “like coming home”.
Speaking in a video uploaded to the ‘Hollyoaks’ Instagram account, Jamie said: “Hello guys. As you can see, The Fox is back in the village, causing some trouble. And this might not be the last you see of me.
“How does it feel to be back? Yeah, amazing, you know? It’s like coming home, coming to see my family, my friends.
“Coming back to play Warren Fox is always a pleasure and an honour. ‘Hollyoaks’ … I love it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dragons’ Den newcomer Sara Davies has been teaching her southern co-stars some “Geordie-isms” throughout the series.
The 35-year-old businesswoman – who is from County Durham – is the youngest investor on the show yet, worth £34 million thanks to her handicrafts business.
Speaking to The Times newspaper, Sara said: “People forget we’ve got awesome entrepreneurs all over the country, especially in the North East.
“I’ve been teaching those lovely southern people some good Geordie-isms over the course of the series.”
The investor operates her multi-million pound handicrafts empire Crafter’s Companion from her hometown.
In her first ‘Dragon’s Den episode, she calls one failing business “all fur coat and no knickers” and her first investment in the show is in a self-tanning product.
The self-tan was created by two Yorkshire women who go for Sara’s offer instead of a rival Peter Jones’.
In 2005, the entrepreneur built her fortune whilst studying management on a third-year placement at a local papercraft company while at the University of York.
On creating the company, the investor said: “As ridiculous as it sounds, I used to look at these cards people made and say, ‘Ooh, but what do you do for your envelopes?’ No one had figured it out.”
Sara claims millions of people like to make their own greeting cards, which resulted in her creating “the Enveloper”, which helps home crafters make their own envelopes.
She created one from scratch with a friend who ran a joinery company, and pitched her idea to shopping channel Ideal World.
Sara said: “I literally said, ‘I’ve got a proposition for you that you absolutely can’t lose. It’s an obvious upsell. I am a natural born saleswoman and I’ll have the buyer eating out of the palm of my hand.’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rufus Sewell leads the cast for Agatha Christie’s ‘The Pale Horse’.
‘The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel’ actor joins a host of talent, including Kaya Scodelario, Bertie Carvel, Sean Pertwee, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Poppy Gilbert, Madeleine Bowyer and Claire Skinner for the production from BBC One, Mammoth Screen and Agatha Christie Limited.
‘The Pale Horse’ follows Sewell’s character Mark Easterbrook as he tries to uncover the mystery of a list of names found in the shoe of a dead woman. His investigation leads him to the peculiar village of Much Deeping, and The Pale Horse, the home of a trio of rumoured witches.
The two-part drama is being directed by Leonora Lonsdale and produced by Ado Yoshizaki Cassuto.
Filming has begun in and around the Bristol area for the show, which has been adapted from Christie’s book by Sarah Phelps.
Tommy Bulfin, BBC Drama Commissioning Editor, said: “We are thrilled that filming is now underway on ‘The Pale Horse’ for BBC One. Sarah’s brilliant scripts and her unique take on the famous Agatha Christie stories have once again attracted an array of top and exciting talent.”

This is a very different story from most that my great grandmother wrote, and Sarah has taken it to new heights. OHMYGOSSIP — Ken Jeong and Rob Delaney have joined the new ‘Tom and Jerry’ film.
The 50-year-old actor is to appear alongside ‘Catastrophe’ star Rob, 42, in the upcoming live-action / animated hybrid movie from Warner Bros. which already boasts an all-star cast including Chloe Grace Moretz, Colin Jost and Michael Pena.
Tim Story will direct and executive produce the motion picture, which is based on the original series of cartoon short films created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera in 1940.
The shorts told the story of the rivalry between cat Tom and mouse Jerry and Adam Goodman will executive produce the new movie while Chris DeFaria will produce.
It is not yet known who Jeong and Delaney will play but Grace Moretz has been lined up for the role of Kayla, a new employee at a posh hotel, and Pena will portray her alter ego’s evil boss Terrance.
The plot will see Jerry set up home in the hotel and Kayla will hire Tom, who is living as an alley cat, to get rid of Jerry but the pair soon decide to work together to get rid of Terrance.
Ken is best known for his roles as Ben Chang in sitcom ‘Community’ and Leslie Chow in ‘The Hangover’ film series and he is also part of another Warner Bros. film where
Ken is lending his voice to the upcoming ‘Scooby-Doo’ movie as Dynomutt, Dog Wonder, a pooch with mechanical robot parts.
The movie is set to be released in May 2020 and will be the first time Scooby has hit the big screen since 2004’s ‘Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed’, which followed on from 2002’s ‘Scooby-Doo’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Iain Lee has let slip the first three ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestants.
The 46-year-old TV presenter leaked the news that Sam Allardyce, Jamie Laing and Anneka Rice have reportedly signed up for the ballroom dancing show, hours before the BBC is set to announce the line-up on Wednesday’s (31.07.19) episode of ‘The One Show’.
Speaking to Ben Shephard on ‘Good Morning Britain’, Iain said: “They are going to announce the first three people on a show called The One Show – it’s going to be Sam Allardyce, Jamie Laing and Anneka Rice.”
A shocked Ben replied: “They are announcing it later and you have already announced it?”
However, Iain did not appear to be too worried about the leak and feigning surprise, he said: “Oops, sorry.”
‘EastEnders’ actress Emma Barton – who plays Honey Mitchell on the BBC soap – has also reportedly signed up for the new series of ‘Strictly’.
A source said: “She is very musical, has natural rhythm, and is sure to do well. She’s also come from a bit of a dance background, so is hopeful this could open new doors.”
Meanwhile, Motsi Mabuse was recently confirmed as the new ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge.
The South African star – whose sister is ‘Strictly’ pro Oti Mabuse – was announced as Dame Darcey Bussell’s replacement for the upcoming series of the show, meaning she will sit on the panel alongside Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas and Bruno Tonioli.
She said: “I am absolutely overjoyed to be joining the ‘Strictly’ judging panel.
“I have so much respect and admiration for the other three judges and hope to add my own bit of sparkle to the show. I can’t wait to get started!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Guillermo del Toro is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced that the acclaimed director will become the 2,669th celebrity to be honoured with the accolade on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at 6918 Hollywood Boulevard in front of The Line Store, dedicated in the category of Motion Pictures.
In a statement, Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, said: “Guillermo del Toro is a director with one of the most creative and vivid imaginations. He has his pulse on a realm of fantasy that has captivated and astounded audiences! The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to honour him for his historic film work!”
‘Star Wars’ filmmaker J.J. Abrams and singer/songwriter Lana Del Rey will both be on hand to unveil the star alongside Emcee Rana Ghadban, President and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
Mexican movie maker Guillermo’s first feature film was 1993’s ‘Cronos’ – a supernatural horror film, which he directed from his own screenplay after beginning his career working as a special effects makeup artist.
The movie premiered at the 1993 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Mercedes-Benz Award before winning over 20 international awards and eight Ariel Awards from the Mexican Academy of Film, including Best Director, Best Screenplay, and the Golden Ariel.
The filmmaker then went on to helm comic book inspired movies ‘Blade II’ and ‘Hellboy’ and his 2006 dark fantasy film ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’ earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay.
His 2017 fantastical romance film ‘The Shape of Water’ told the story of a mute woman who falls in love with a human-like Amazonian monster and earned 13 Oscar nominations winning Best Picture, Best Director, Best Production Design and Best Original Score.

OHMYGOSSIP — Alfred Molina is set to make his directorial debut with ‘Lilian’.
The 66-year-old actor – who is known for his roles in films such as 1981’s action hit ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ and 1997’s historical drama ‘Boogie Nights’ – is set to helm the big-screen adaptation of Jill Gascoine’s 1996 novel of the same name.
The novel follows a woman called Jessica Wooldridge who after recovering from cancer leaves her husband and adult children in England to visit her friend Norma in Los Angeles – where she finds herself unexpectedly falling in love with a woman.
The film is being backed by Cannonball and Sean Hanish and Paul Jaconi-Biery producing through their Cannonball Productions banner while Kelly Kahl, Molina and Derek Beamer will executive produce.
Production is set to begin in Los Angeles in autumn and Amy Lowe Starbin is writing the script.
In a statement, Alfred said: “I’ve always known that I eventually wanted to direct. When I was young I was moved by the films of Carol Reed – that’s what started this journey in fact – that was the first time I realised there was a guiding hand behind the camera.
“The idea of being that guiding hand has always interested me. When I read the novel ‘Lilian’ years ago it touched me deeply, I started seeing the film and feeling the characters’ journeys, and like that I knew that I wanted to direct this film. The stories that I love are those that begin quietly, perhaps even predictably, and then through some action or motive they reveal a crack, a fissure, through which something escapes but also through which we can enter.
“‘Lilian’ is such a beautiful story about a woman getting on in years who finds the spark of love and passion again after losing hope and a clear idea of her purpose. I’m going to focus all of my energy and passion into bringing this story to life with a wonderful group of artists that I know and trust.”

OHMYGOSSIP — EastEnders’ Rob Kazinsky owes most of his career to “spectacular” stunt men.
The ‘Pacific Rim’ actor took to Instagram to share a video of some stunt men used for the now-cancelled show ‘Second Chance’, and he used the moment to heap praise on the trained performers.
He wrote: “Digging up some old behind the scenes shots through the years, this one is a lovely little stunt from second chance way back when.
“Stunt men are the not sun enough heroes of film and TV, they come in and their entire job is to make you look good. I owe most of my career to some truly spectacular stunt teams. (sic)”
Rob later shared another post showing stuntman Rob Mars who doubled as him for the show.
The caption read: “Here’s another of Rob Mars who doubled me on the pilot for Second Chance, jumping out of a second story window for me in a stunt that I don’t think we used in the end. I was gonna do it myself but ya know, I only do three stories or above. (sic)”
Rob played as Sean Slater in ‘EastEnders’ from 2006 for four years before getting his big break in Hollywood.
In January 2019, it was announced he would reprise his role of Sean for a guest appearance, and he made a brief return in April 2019 for some touching scenes alongside Gillian Wright – who plays his on-screen mum Jean Slater – and Lacey Turner (Stacey Slater).

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’ has received 16 nominations for the National Reality TV Awards 2019.
The ITV2 dating show’s latest fifth series came to an end on Monday (29.07.19) with Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea crowned the winners, making them £25,000 richer each, and the 21-year-old beauty therapist is up for two individual honours of her own ahead of the 9th annual National Reality TV Awards, which takes place on September 30 at London’s Porchester Hall.
Amber has a nod in the Best Female Personality and Reality Personality of the Year categories, and in the latter she will go up against her fellow former Islander Ovie Soko, who could also go home with the Best Male Personality prize.
If he wins the personality accolade he will have outdone his fellow former ‘Love Island’ stars Tommy Fury and Curtis Pritchard, and the trio will face off against former ‘Love Island’ star Jack Fowler, who received a nod for his part in ‘Celebs Go Dating’.
‘Love Island’ itself is also up for four gongs, Best Reality Competition Show, Best Entertainment Show, Best Dating Show, and Best Social Experiment Show, and host Caroline Flack has nods in the Celebrity Personality of the Year and Best TV Presenter categories.
As well as ‘Love Island’, ‘Good Morning Britain’ is up for two programme prizes and another two for co-host Susanna Reid, who will go up against Caroline in the Celebrity Personality of the Year and Best TV Presenter categories.
‘GMB’ has a nod for Most Inspiring TV Show and Best Talk Show, which also features ‘Loose Women’, ‘This Morning’, ‘The Last Leg’ and ‘The One Show’ among others.

OHMYGOSSIP — Only six of this year’s 36 ‘Love Island’ contestants were discovered through the general application process.
A new report has found that out of the 85,000 people who applied to be on the ITV2 reality dating show, only 17 per cent were chosen while 83 per cent were picked by professional agents or the ITV2 casting team.
In a Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee report, ITV chief executive Dame Carolyn McCall said: “On series five of ‘Love Island’ to date (15 July), there have been 36 contributors.
“24 were found and cast by the programme’s casting team, six were put forward by professional agents, and six came through the general application.”
A source who provides talent for the show added to MailOnline: “I’m always on the lookout for attractive people who might fit the bill for ‘Love Island’.”
When previously quizzed about casting, Carolyn confessed there is a “rigorous” process which involves psychological analysis and around 98,000 people apply to go on the show each year.
She said: “We get about 98,000 applications for ‘Love Island’, they then take that down to about 90 to 100 as soon as they get a call back – at that stage they go through medical questionnaires, psychological questionnaires, assessments, that then goes down to about 30 or 40 who get selected to appear on ‘Love Island’.
“It’s a very rigorous process of screening that goes on before they actually get on to ‘Love Island’.”
This year’s final saw Greg O’Shea and Amber Gill crowned the winners, beating favourites Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury – who were the only official couple in the final – to the top spot.
Newcomers Ovie Soko and India Reynolds – who had only been together for 12 days before the final – finished third, and Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins were fourth.

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Keegan’s new TV series was filmed in a sex dungeon.
The 32-year-old actress stars in new Sky One comedy ‘Brassic’ – about a group of working-class friends living in Lancashire – and some scenes were filmed in a fetish club complete with “gimp masks, whips and a spanking bench”.
Ryan Simpson, who plays fetish club owner Tommo, told the Daily Star: “The sex dungeon was so cool to film in because it was an actual one.
“They actually found a place in Manchester where all this kinky stuff goes down.
“I had great respect for the woman who set the place up.
“She was like: ‘Look, I saw a gap in the market, and I’ve opened this place to fulfil people’s needs’.
“There’s a spanking room and a torture area. It’s pretty varied.
“I saw some pretty weird stuff – some pretty edgy gimp masks, one with a big old rubber nose on it.
“It was quite funny to be having all the costume women sipping their cups of tea on set while sat on a spanking bench.”
Meanwhile, Joe Gilgun revealed that Michelle is the most vulgar in the ‘Brassic’ WhatsApp Group chat.
He told The Sun: “We had a cast WhatsApp group and at the start the other lads were like, ‘S**t, do we have to be careful here?’ because she was on it, it turns out you don’t at all – she is just as bad as we are.”
Joe claimed that the actress, who plays working class mum Erin in ‘the new comedy, “is one of the lads” who can drink everyone “under the table”.
‘Brassic’ will be Michelle’s first comedy role after wrapping up series four of military drama ‘Our Girl’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Rosie Marcel would “kill” to take part in ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The ‘Holby City’ star is desperate to test her limits in the Australian jungle, and enjoys reading about herself being tipped to join the programme.
The 42-year-old told Inside Soap magazine: “I’m always tipped to be doing it and I think, ‘Ooh, that’s exciting!’
“I know it sounds ridiculous but I’m one of these people who’s had a lot of challenges in life – health-wise and family-wise – but I do like to test myself.”
In 2018, ‘The Vice’ star revealed she had undergone talks with show bosses about joining the line up.
She said: “I haven’t had a drink for 19 months and that was pretty fricking tough – and now for some reason – I want to put myself through the jungle. I’d kill to do it.”
The ‘Holby City’ star, who was also been a part of its sister show ‘Casualty’, has also opened up about her character Jac Naylor’s big career decision.
She is set to step down as the clinical lead of Darwin in order to spend more quality time with her young daughter, Emma.
The character’s work-life balance is called into question and Jac realises she needs to compromise for her child.
Rosie said: “It’s been coming a long time for Jac. She was shot, her sister died and she had about nine surgeries last year, nearly died twice and was paralysed for a bit.
“Also I think she hasn’t spent a lot of time with her daughter and she hasn’t done a lot of surgery.”
According to the actress, Jac’s decision will not be “a short-lived thing”.
Discussing how long she plans to stay on the show, she said: “I love it here so much, but I also know that when the right storyline comes along to finish Jac, I’ll take it. Everything comes to an end at some point.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Chelsea Halfpenny is set to replace Amber Davies in ‘9 to 5 the Musical’.
The 27-year-old actress – who is known for previously playing Amy Wyatt in ITV soap ‘Emmerdale’ – will take over from the former ‘Love Island’ star, whose last performance will be next month.
Chelsea will make her West End debut playing Judy Burnly in the Dolly Parton musical – based on the 1980 film of the same name – at the Savoy Theatre in London.
Posting the news on Twitter, Chelsea simply said: “erm HI. I CANT BREATHE. (sic)”
Announcing the new cast on social media, the production revealed that Bonnie Langford, Brian Conley, Caroline Sheen and Natalie McQueen will extend their runs as Roz Keith, Franklin Hart Jnr, Violet Newstead and Doralee Rhodes.
The production tweeted: “WEST END CAST NEWS @ChelseaHP will be London’s new Judy from 27 August – joining @Bonnie_Langford, @RealBrianConley, @SheenCaroline and @NatalieMcQueen who are all staying with us! @Amber_Davies7 will return for 3 final London shows on 30-31 Aug, before tour begins. (sic)”
Louise Redknapp will appear as her beloved character Violet in Manchester, Milton Keynes, Liverpool, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dublin.
From September, the London ensemble will also feature Victoria Anderson, Alexander Bartles, Simon Campbell, Alexander Day, Rhiane Drummond, Demmileigh Foster, Molly-May Gardiner, Llandyll Gove, Ben Irish, Jenny Legg, Natasha Mould, Jon Reynolds, James Royden-Lyley, Giles Surridge, Antoine Thomas-Sturge, Richard Taylor-Woods, Sasha Wareham and Emily Woodford.
The show will embark on an 11-city tour from September 6th, opening in Birmingham, while the West End production is currently booking until April 2020.

OHMYGOSSIP — Georgia May Foote has treated herself to a spa trip after a “particularly tough” struggle with anxiety.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress has revealed that she is battling with her anxiety this week so has decided to indulge herself with a relaxing break at the Titanic Spa in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
She shared a picture of herself at the spa on Instagram and wrote: “My brain is going to explode. I know i have always been open about my anxiety but this week has been particularly tough. So i scooped myself up and went to my fave place @titanic_spa all by myself for some me time. I’ve finished another book, had a massage, eaten good, and completely relaxed. Look after yourself guys always, self care and self love is very important. If you can’t get away to do this then give yourself a spa day at home (sic).”
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ runner-up previously spoke out about her battles with anxiety, admitting some days she cries over the smallest things.
Georgia confessed: “Some days i’m distracted and fine, other days it takes me dropping a sock on the way to do a wash, which means i won’t have a pair when the washed ones come out to literally have a break down and cry ? so silly. But the thing with anxiety is it’s not always the heartbreak, the pain, the loss, the argument with a friend that makes it bad. It can be anything and everything…
“But just tell yourself. It’s ok. It’s going to be ok. And it’s ok not to be ok! (sic)”
And she also revealed her belief that social media is bad for people’s mental health.
Referencing model Gigi Hadid’s phone case, which reads “social media seriously harms your mental health”, Georgia, 28, told her followers: “I just want to say thank you once again for the most incredible response to the post I put on about anxiety. I’ve never had a response like that.
“It got me thinking again about something this morning. So did anybody see the picture that went round about Gigi Hadid with the phone case that said, ‘Social media seriously harms your mental health’?
“Yes, Gigi for being honest. Think about it: She has everything, everything that most people want. Loads of people aspire to be like her, they wanna look like her, dress like her, have her ex-boyfriend.
“It’s mental. It just shows that no matter how happy someone can look on social media, how rich they can be, how famous they are, how successful they are, when you open your phone and you see other people looking the way they looking and acting the way they act, it will for ever not make you feel good enough. (sic)”
