OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Thompson is returning to ‘Made in Chelsea’.
The former ‘Celebs Go Dating’ star’s return to the E4 show is set to be explosive, as whilst he’s been away, his ex-girlfriend Sophie Habboo has grown very close to his long-time friend Jamie Laing.
In a new teaser for the upcoming 18th series, tensions look set to build after a series of images of Sam and Jamie having fun times together are shown, before a clip of the latter and Sophie – who is nicknamed Habbs – kissing is shown.
Sam had quit the show after six years in March, because he felt uncomfortable being around his ex.
The reality star – who dated Habbs between May and November last year, and was previously in a relationship with co-star Tiff Watson from 2014 until 2017 – admitted: “Getting dumped all the time was chipping away at my confidence.
“You don’t want to be around your ex.
“Everyone on there is now more her friend and a lot of my friends have upped and left.
“‘[MiC’] takes your soul, you are so invested in it as it is is your real life.”
Meanwhile, cast members Olivia Bentley, Alex Mytton, Mark Francis Vandelli, Miles Nazaire, James Taylor, Sophie Hermann, Harry Barron and Melissa Tattam, Fredrick Ferrier and Eliza Batten are all set to return for the new season.
Whilst, Maeva D’Ascanio, Verity Scarlett Bowditch, Freddie Brown, Amelia Mist, Rosi Mai, Angus Findlay, Hugo Leefe and Sammy Allsop will be back after making their debut last series.
An air date for the new series is yet to be revealed, but a new trailer is “coming soon”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Amber Gill was asked to go on ‘Love Island’ last year but rejected the show because she had a boyfriend.
The ‘Love Island’ 2019 winner – who triumphed on the ITV2 dating programme with Greg O’Shea – has revealed she was approached via Instagram to appear in the fourth series in 2018, but had to turn the chance down.
She said: “I didn’t actually apply to go in the villa, I got asked via Instagram.
“I did get asked the year before but I had a boyfriend – but let’s not talk about him.
“When I got asked [this year] I thought, ‘Why the hell not, let’s try it.’ ”
The 22-year-old star also admitted she is unlikely to return to her career of performing treatments as a beauty therapist, but still wants to speak about beauty because that is “what [she] knows”.
She said: “I don’t necessarily think I’ll be a beauty therapist anymore, performing treatments.
“But I’m definitely keeping my skincare, haircare, anything like that.
“Beauty is what I know and that’s what I know I can talk about.”
Amber is flying out to Ireland this weekend to meet Greg’s family following their ‘Love Island’ triumph, and insisted he is “lusher” outside of the villa.
She said: “I’m going to see Greg this weekend. I’m going to fly over to Ireland and spend the weekend with him.
“He’s lusher in real life, he’s so fit.”
Amber admits her life has been “absolutely crazy” since she departed the show, and she didn’t expect to even be in the villa “that long” because she feared her “harsh” personality may put other Islanders off.
Speaking in a Q&A on her Instagram, she added: “Life after the villa has been absolute crazy, I haven’t had a minute to myself.
“I’ve been going back and forth between Newcastle and London, but it’s great I absolute love it.
“I don’t think it’s sunk in for me and Greg that we won. We weren’t expecting it at all. It was absolutely amazing. It wasn’t in my sights when I first went in.
“I half miss the villa and half don’t. Because everything that’s happening now is amazing and I absolutely love it and I love being out and being able to speak to my family.
“But the villa was so cute and enclosed.
“I didn’t expect to be in the villa that long. I know I can be quite harsh and people take us the wrong way, so I was worried people wouldn’t get my personality.
“But I think the Islanders understood I was joking the majority of the time.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Blake Harrison says Channel 4 bosses didn’t have “high hopes” for ‘The Inbetweeners’.
The 34-year-old actor played Neil Sutherland in the hit coming-of-age sitcom – which enjoyed a hugely successful run of three seasons between 2008 and 2010 and two feature films – but he admitted he had to work a second summer job for extra money.
Speaking to Radio Times magazine, he said: “When it was first delivered, a Channel 4 exec said, ‘This is like the worst episode ever of ‘Grange Hill’.’
“There weren’t high hopes. In between the first and second series, I worked in the ‘Scare Chamber’ at Madame Tussaud’s because we weren’t paid well.”
Emily Head – who played Carli D’Amato on the show – recently insisted a potential third film “wouldn’t be the same”.
The 30-year-old actress explained: “I think everyone sort of secretly hopes there will [be], I think we all probably secretly hope there would be, but I think it was such a special thing in the moment that you wouldn’t want to do it and get it wrong [or make something that] wasn’t what people were expecting.
“I think, to look back on something … It’s like if they do ‘Friends’ again now, it wouldn’t be the same. I think it was really of the moment.”
However, James Buckley – who played Jay Cartwright alongside Blake, Simon Bird (Will McKenzie) and Joe Thomas (Simon Cooper) – has previously admitted he would be up for revisiting his outrageous character.
Speaking on Channel 4’s special ‘The Inbetweeners: Fwends Reunited’ programme – which marked 10 years since the hit comedy came out – in January, host Jimmy Carr asked James if he’d agree to another edition of the series, to which he quickly responded with an authoritative “yes”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Bird says it would be “depressing for everyone” if there was an ‘Inbetweeners’ reboot.
The 34-year-old star portrayed Will McKenzie in the E4 sitcom, which told the story of a group of sixth formers trying to get through life, but the ‘Friday Night Dinner’ actor “cannot see” any more episodes being made because nobody would “buy” he and his co-stars, who are in their 30s, as teenagers.
He said: “I don’t know how that would work. I don’t think it would work with the characters grown up, which we now all are.
“No one is going to buy us as teenagers anymore. And I think the idea of the four of us back together as 30-somethings is going to be a bit more depressing for everyone.
“I can’t see us doing any more of it.”
Simon is to make his directorial debut in comedy movie ‘Days Of The Bagnold Summer’, and while he admits helming a film is a good alternative to ‘The Inbetweeners’, he is still keen to pursue other acting roles.
Quizzed on whether getting behind the camera was a good way to move his career forward following such huge success playing Will, he told Screen Daily: “Yes totally. You do get typecast, and fair enough.
“It was so successful and our faces were everywhere. That’s especially true with comedy. The characters become real and very important to fans – it’s really difficult to see actors do other things.
“That’s not to say I don’t want to act, I’d love to keep acting, but I’m waiting to find something else that I really want to do. I read a lot of scripts.”
‘The Inbetweeners’ aired for three series from 2008 to 2010, and the sitcom spawned two movies.

OHMYGOSSIP — Maura Higgins “never realised” she is a feminist until she appeared on ‘Love Island’.
The 28-year-old reality star endeared herself to viewers during her time in the villa with her blunt honesty, and she didn’t consider trying to come across as a role model to other women.
She told Grazia magazine: “I never realised I was a feminist! I just stand up for myself, and I won’t let anyone talk s**t about me. And you know, I do talk about sex, but so do guys.”
The ring girl hopes young women who tuned into the ITV2 dating show will learn from her example instead of “hiding away”.
She said: “Stick up for yourself. Don’t let anyone walk all over you. Voice your opinion. There’s no point hiding away.”
Maura – who’s dating dancer Curtis Pritchard after being paired up on the show – recently revealed she doesn’t care about social media trolls and rumours, and insisted the important thing is how “your loved ones” treat you.
She explained: “There’s so many people in the world that are afraid for people to have a bad opinion of them.
“You know what? Once your family and friends – your loved ones – love you and know you and care about your opinion, that’s all that matters.”
Maura recently joined ‘This Morning’ as an agony aunt, and made her debut last week during the regular phone-in advice slot and the segment ‘Maura Than Meets the Eye’.
She previously said: “I’m getting flutters about joining ‘This Morning’. I can’t believe it. It’s beyond my wildest dreams.
“I’ve grown up watching Phillip [Schofield], Holly [Willoughby], Eamonn [Holmes], Ruth [Langsford] and the team. Mad to think I’m now part of that iconic family. Can’t wait to crack on.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Georgia May Foote has started a GoFundMe page to try to save Bury Football Club.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress wants to help her local team – which has been threatened with expulsion from the English Football League over ongoing financial issues – and she revealed her own emotional attachment to the club as she called on Manchester United legend Gary Neville to help.
She initially tweeted: “Really sad to see my hometown football club having to go through what they are.
@buryfcofficial Shall we start a Go Fund Me page? Can’t see one of the oldest teams in the uk close down. Especially when my grandparents met there #foreverbury @GNev2 r u in? (sic)”
The League One team – which insists it is “confident” of finding a solution – has been given an August 23 deadline to show the EFl its plans to pay off outstanding creditors, while the club’s first three games of the season have been suspended over a lack of “clarity”.
Now, soap star Georgia – who played Katy Armstrong on the cobbles for five years until 2015 – has taken action in a bid to help her hometown team.
Writing on the new GoFundMe page – which raised almost £300 of a £1 million target – the 28-year-old actress added: “Not only is Bury Football Club one of the oldest teams in the UK. But it has the heart and soul of the whole town behind it.
“I, myself, am from Bury. Born and bred. My Grandparents met there. My sister had her 18th birthday party there. I watched many friends play there over the years. As have many generations of wonderful and dedicated supporters from and around our local town.
“This is a sad sad time for such an old club… And i am asking for everyone to not let not only the team but the supporters down by helping us out! (sic)”
Bury FC were given a 12-point deduction for the current campaign after entering a company voluntary agreement in an attempt to clear some debts.

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Wilde’s ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ has been acquired by New Line.
The hotly anticipated follow-up to Wilde’s directorial debut ‘Booksmart’ was the subject of an intense bidding war, with 18 offers for the movie, but New Line emerged victorious, according to Deadline.
The pyschological thriller is set in the 1950s and tells the story of a housewife who begins to crack.
Shane and Carey Van Dyke have penned the script, but Wilde’s ‘Booksmart’ partner Katie Silberman is set to rewrite it.
Wilde and Silberman are also set to produce the motion picture, alongside Roy Lee and Miri Yoon of Vertigo Entertainment.
Olivia had previously directed music videos for Red Hot Chili Peppers and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. She also produced and executive produced a number of projects, but ‘Booksmart’ was her first feature film directorial effort.
The movie tells the story of Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein’s characters, who on the night before their high school graduation, decide they should have had more fun during their four years at school.
They decide to try to fit four years worth of fun into one epic night.
The movie opened to rave reviews, even though Olivia has admitted she was initially wary of taking on a directing role because she worried about her film education.
She explained: “Fear. For a long time, I was insecure that I hadn’t been to film school. Then I saw my career was film school, because I was shadowing brilliant directors, seeing different techniques and asking endless questions, and I continue to do that. That’s why I think I have to keep acting, so I can keep learning.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Coronation Street’s Eileen Grimshaw is to be placed under witness protection.
Sue Cleaver’s cobbles character Eileen Grimshaw has got herself mixed up in another sticky situation after her new flame Jan Lozinski (Piotr Baumann) was revealed as a police informant last week, and her alter-ego will agree to leave Weatherfield for her own safety, sparking speculation the 55-year-old actress could be leaving the ITV soap.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “She is going to go into witness protection and leave Weatherfield after it turns out Jan is not dodgy after all.
“He’s an informant for the cops and helping to bring down a human trafficking ring.
“They’ve just filmed scenes where she’s making arrangements to go. She only tells Seb the real reason she’s going, but sees her mates like Liz and says her goodbyes without them knowing she’s actually leaving.”
Eileen – who nearly died at the hands of serial killer ex Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) – was heart-broken when a police raid on the salon appeared to expose Jan’s link to a human trafficking scheme, when he was arrested alongside Nikolai and Rachel.
She was taken into the station, too, and while she was later released without charge, Eileen feared the worst about Jan.
However, police later visited him in his cell and congratulated him on his work as an informant.
He was told he could start again with a new life under the condition he doesn’t “try to see or contact” her again.
Now, it appears Eileen will also be skipping town – although it’s not thought to be the last viewers see of Sue’s character on the cobbles.

OHMYGOSSIP — David Baddiel and Jo Brand will star on the new series of ‘Taskmaster’.
Greg Davies will be back in the titular role for a ninth series of Dave’s competitive comedy show when it returns on September 4 with another batch of celebrities looking to take home the golden trophy.
As well as David and Jo, Ed Gamble, Katy Wix and Rose Matafeo will also star in a comedian-heavy run while Alex Horne will be back as Greg’s popular personal secretary.
The new quintet will be faced with a range of simple – yet very complicated – tasks which they have to perform competently and without looking too foolish.
This is easier said than done, and the five stars are sure to be in line for a verbal put down from the taskmaster himself.
The upcoming ninth series was commissioned before the previous season – which featured ‘The Inbetweeners’ actor Joe Thomas, ‘The Chase’ quizzer Paul Sinha, ‘Car Share’ actress Sian Gibson, ‘Love Island’ narrator Iain Stirling and eventual winner Lou Sanders – had even made it to air, with the hit show standing tall as the channel’s most successful original format.
Alex created the programme, originally as a live show, and he previously admitted he’s delighted with how far the show has come since it first aired in 2015.
He said: “I recently watched an episode from the first series of Taskmaster and was amazed at how fresh-faced and cheerful I looked. I had no idea then that I’d still be serving such a powerful Taskmaster now or that I would have been demeaned in so many different ways in the intervening 50 episodes. I am a very lucky little man.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Quentin Tarantino has defended his portrayal of Bruce Lee in ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’.
The 56-year-old director had been blasted by Lee’s daughter Shannon, who said she was “uncomfortable” with how her late father had been portrayed in the movie.
Shannon said: “He comes across as an arrogant a*****e who was full of hot air. And not someone who had to fight triple as hard as any of those people did to accomplish what was naturally given to so many others.”
However, Tarantino has hit back, claiming Lee, played by Mike Moh, who is shown in the movie calling his hands “lethal weapons” and claiming he could beat Muhammad Ali, in a fight, was arrogant in real life.
Speaking at a recent press junket in Moscow, he said: “Bruce Lee was kind of an arrogant guy.
“The way he was talking, I didn’t just make a lot of that up. I heard him say things like that, to that effect. If people are saying, ‘Well he never said he could beat up Muhammad Ali,’ well yeah, he did. Not only did he say that, but his wife, Linda Lee, said that in her first biography I ever read. She absolutely said that.”
Lee’s training partner Dan Inosanto previously spoke about how upset he was with Lee’s portrayal in ‘OUATIH’, claiming that it did not show the real Bruce Lee.
He said: “He was never, in my opinion, cocky. Maybe he was cocky in as far as martial arts because he was very sure of himself. He was worlds ahead of everyone else. But on a set, he’s not gonna show off. Bruce Lee would have never said anything derogatory about Muhammad Ali because he worshiped the ground Muhammad Ali walked on.”
And Shannon said: “He was continuously treated like kind of a nuisance of a human being by white Hollywood, which is how he’s treated in the film by Quentin Tarantino.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Djimon Hounsou has joined the cast of ‘A Quiet Place 2’.
The 55-year-old year old actor will replace Brian Tyree Henry – who is best known for his roles on FX series ‘Atlanta’ as well as 2018 films ‘Widows’ and ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’ – in the film after scheduling issues forced Henry to pull out of the project.
It is believed that filming for Henry’s role in Marvel’s ‘The Eternals’ will clash with the sequel.
John Krasinski – who starred in, directed and co-wrote the original movie – will direct the film but will not be reprising his role as Lee Abbott, as the character didn’t survive to the end of the first flick.
Emily Blunt, however, will be back as Lee’s wife Evelyn Abbott with Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe back as her children, Regan and Marcus.
The first film follows the family in a post-apocalyptic world that has been taken over by blind monsters with an acute sense of hearing, and while not much is known about the sequel, it was recently revealed that Cillian Murphy will be joining the cast.
While Hounsou’s role is not yet known, Cillian will play “a man with mysterious intentions who joins the family unit”.
Meanwhile, John previously claimed that he never intended to make a sequel and was “mind-tricked” into writing his idea for the next movie.
He said: “I’ll be honest with you: I really didn’t want to do the sequel. It was never built to launch sequels, which we all knew, and the studio knew too. But also, I’m a realist.
“I know that when you have a success like this, everyone wants to make another one. I told them to go find another filmmaker and writer, and they said, ‘But don’t you have an idea?’ I said, ‘Yeah, I have a tiny idea,’ so they said, ‘OK, while we’re talking to other people, keep thinking about it’. They basically mind-tricked me into wanting to write it.”
‘A Quiet Place 2’ is scheduled for release in May 2020.

OHMYGOSSIP — Damien Molony and Michelle Keegan had “a good laugh” shooting their ‘Brassic’ portable toilet sex scene.
The Irish actor and ‘Our Girl’ star appear as couple Dylan and Erin, and he revealed their characters shared a steamy moment during a “bizarre” first day on set.
He told the Irish Independent newspaper: “There’s nothing sexy about a ‘Brassic’ sex scene.
“They’re always such bizarre things anyway, but it was definitely odd having sex in a portable loo on your first day of a new job, definitely a tight fit.
“It’s just a good laugh because you both understand the complete ridiculousness of the situation.”
The show follows a group of working class friends looking to survive in suburban Lancashire through scamming, conning and bribing.
Leading man Joe Gilgun’s character Vinnie had a troubled childhood – his mum left and he was raised by his alcohol dad – and faces a constant battle with bipolar disorder.
He previously heaped praise on the quality and work ethic of the group of performers gathered together for the new show.
Joe said: “We’re incredibly lucky to have the cast we’ve got. Honestly, they’re flawless… I keep using this bloody analogy; some actors you can let them off the lead and they’ll wonder about and have a s**t and a p**s, they mix well with other dogs, you don’t have to worry about them bolting off if they see a cat, these are them.
“There are other actors, you let them off the lead and they just f**k off. My lot are mint. We really have picked a f***ing great group here. We do get on, we all really get on.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sue Johnston says Caroline Aherne was “like a daughter” to her.
The 75-year-old actress played Barbara Royle in the classic sitcom and she heaped praise on her former ‘The Royle Family’ co-star – who portrayed her on-screen daughter Denise – three years after she tragically died aged 52 after a battle with lung cancer in 2016.
Appearing on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’, she said: “We’d all become very close – [Caroline] was like a daughter.
“She was so talented – not just talented but kind, generous and always very funny.”
The show – which ran for three series from 1998 to 2000, with specials being broadcaster for six years until its end in 2012 – also starred the likes of Ricky Tomlinson (Jim), Craig Cash (Dave) and Ralf Little (Anthony), and Sue revealed she still misses filming.
She added: “I miss it terribly, yes. Funnily enough saw Craig, I went to the theatre last week and saw Craig at the Lowry doing his telly show [‘After Hours’] on stage.
“It was just lovely to see him in action. But yeah, I miss [it], especially Caroline.”
Meanwhile, Sue also shed some light on her absence from the upcoming ‘Downton Abbey’ movie after she was cut from the highly anticipated big screen adaptation of the ITV period drama.
She said: “I don’t know. I don’t know whether I’m allowed to say this, but hey, I’m going to. There was a script sent out which my character [Miss Denker] was in, and then I never heard anything about it.
“Lesley Nicol – who’s my friend and played Mrs. Patmore – was staying with me over Easter. I said ‘Am I in the film?’ She said ‘No.’ [laughs] Gave it to me straight. I have been invited to the premiere, but sadly I can’t go.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Amanda Holden likes to “take risks” with her racy ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ outfits.
The 48-year-old star’s striking ensembles on the ITV programme have caught the eye of viewers and even drawn criticism from some fans, but the talent show judge has shrugged off Ofcom complaints as she explained her style.
She told MailOnline: “Of course I have fun on Britain’s Got Talent – it’s the perfect opportunity to take risks.
“Times have changed and I don’t feel anyone should feel pressure to dress for your age. It’s all about body positivity and feeling good.”
Amanda – who appears on the panel alongside Alesha Dixon, Simon Cowell and David Walliams – added her own family don’t mind when she steps out in an eye catching outfit, and she admitted her own age doesn’t even enter her mind.
She said: “I try not to think about age anymore when I’m dressing. My children don’t bat an eyelid at what I wear and love borrowing my clothes.”
Earlier this summer, the TV star revealed despite the backlash she relishes the attention and loves that there’s so much focus on her cleavage.
She previously laughed: “I love it that people are still talking about my tired old breasts and I’m nearly 50! No one talks about Alesha Dixon’s – she’s got great boobs by the way – and she’s eight years younger than me.”
Amanda is also proud that her outfits remain affordable to most of her fans.
She explained: “If someone asks me, I like to say, ‘This is from Zara’. If I admire someone’s outfit, I hate it when they say to me, ‘It’s Dolce! because even I go, ‘I’m not buying that – that’s the school fees!’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Motsi Mabuse’s parents were against her getting her DD breasts reduced.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge – who is replacing Dame Darcey Bussell on the BBC Latin and ballroom show – has hit out at people judging her intelligence because of the size of her chest, and described her bosom as a “burden”.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column, she said: “My mum and my dad were against that [reduction]. People only go by looks. If you have big breasts it doesn’t mean that you are dumb.
“People usually first ask me about ‘Let’s Dance’ and then they ask me about my decolleté. I can’t just go out in a T-Shirt and say, ‘Hey, today I’m not wearing a bra’. Exercising is also a burden.”
The 38-year-old star – who is the sister of ‘Strictly’ pro Oti – was a dancer and judge on German show ‘Let’s Dance’, but the Beeb still shocked fans when most thought that Anton Du Beke was finally stepping up to judge.
Although she thinks her chest is a burden, the new judge believes a lot of the embarrassment comes from European countries.
She added: “In South Africa there are many women with a large chest. There you are not embarrassed when you visit a lingerie store to get a bra fitted.”
Meanwhile, Motsi’s sister Oti “cried” at her first dress fitting for ‘Strictly’ due to her own large chest.
She previously admitted: “My body lessons start with these boobs. I am a 28GG. All my family has always had big boobs. I was hitting puberty way before other girls were. As a 12 year-old girl going in and saying ‘I’m looking for a B cup’, that kind of sounds unrealistic.
“‘Strictly’ opened a lot of doors to me. I remember fitting my first bra and I was crying. I was like, ‘This looks so bad and I look so massive compared to the other girls.’
“Nobody picked on me for it and no one discriminated against me for it and nobody said anything in a negative way and I think that helped me and my self esteem and my nerves about being out in a bra with sequins on.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexandra Mardell was delighted when she found out Angela Griffin would be her on-screen mum after “idolising” the actress for “her whole life”.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress – who portrays Emma Brooker on the ITV soap – has “always wanted” to appear opposite the former ‘Waterloo Road’ star, who is to reprise her cobbles role as Fiona Middleton, and she cannot wait for her dream to come true.
She said: “Angela has been an idol of mine all my life.
“She’s someone I’ve always looked up to. Even before this storyline came up, I’d always wanted to be able to work with Angela, and everyone tells me she’s completely lovely.”
Alexandra found it a “real shock” when she was told Emma would discover Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) is her real dad, but the actress was also delighted about the plot.
She added to Inside Soap magazine: “This was sprung on me quite recently, but I’m absolutely chuffed.
“Did I know this was the plan? No, not at all. Becoming a McDonald has been a real shock for me! It’s great to be tied into one of the biggest families on the Street. I’m so grateful.”
Simon recently admitted his alter-ego Steve finds it “mind blowing” that he might have an adult daughter.
Asked if Steve believes he could really be her dad, Simon said: “Not really, he is trying to work it out and he feels as though she would be more likely to be Jim’s daughter, it is a bit mind blowing to think he has a 20-year-old daughter.
“I don’t think he really knows what to think. I think in all honesty he would be hoping that it isn’t the case.
“What happened with Leanne was bad enough but he has got his head round that situation and co-parents with Leanne, but to suddenly have a grown up daughter is like something from ‘Long Lost Families’, how do you process that information?”
