Colin Thackery wants to perform at Glastonbury

OHMYGOSSIP — Colin Thackery wants to perform at Glastonbury.
The 89-year-old ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ winner doesn’t think he’s the typical sort of artist who would play at the world-famous music event, but that doesn’t mean he’d rule out taking to the stage if he were asked.
Asked if he’s interested in performing at Glastonbury, he said: “You mean where all the pop singers go? I don’t sing pop music, my friend. International stars can go and sing anywhere they want. I just do as I’m told.”
Then pushed on whether he was definitely saying no to the idea, he admitted: “Of course it’s not a no.”
The Chelsea Pensioner will perform in front of Queen Elizabeth at the Royal Variety Performance in November – which is part of his prize for winning ‘BGT’ – and he admitted he can “die happy” after that because he’s such a big fan of the monarch.
He told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “I served her for 25 years. She’s the tops.
“She’s unwavering, she acts very well and she doesn’t try to be trendy. When she was young, everybody fell in love with her.”
Colin has a room at London’s Royal Hospital Chelsea and though the other residents are largely supportive of his new-found fame, he admitted there is some “resentment” from a small number.
Asked how the other residents have reacted to his fame, he said: “It’s a mixed bag. Ninety-five per cent of the guys are right behind me. But there is, inevitably as there would be in any society, some resentment.”
Thankfully for the veteran, the occasional “snide” remark he receives have led to “the guys on [his] side” quickly springing to his defence.

Amber Gill’s future struggle

OHMYGOSSIP — Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea “can’t really decide” how to spend their future together.
The ‘Love Island’ winners are in no rush to move in together, particularly because they each have work commitments in different places but the 21-year-old beauty insisted things are “going really well” between them.
Asked if they are moving in together, Amber told Capital Breakfast: “No, no. Things are going really well but he’s got to be over in Dublin for his rugby and I’m kinda over here in London, so at the minute we can’t really decide what we’re going to do.”
And Amber admitted it is “hard” on their relationship for them to spend so much time apart.
She said: “It is going really well but it’s just hard because we’re both doing things that we love but just in separate countries.”
But the beauty therapist thinks it’s unnecessary for people to be pressuring her and Greg to move in together because they’ve only been together for a few weeks.
She added: “A month and a week or something that I’ve known him! And it’s like ‘woah, woah, woah’ everyone wants us to move in with him, marry him, all sorts.”
Meanwhile, Amber is developed a surprising friendship with ‘Stranger Things’ actress Millie Bobby Brown and she’s planning to meet up with the 15-year-old star after she began messaging her on Instagram.
She said: “Oh my God. Millie Bobby Brown follows me on Instagram. It’s mad and like, we’re trying to meet up. We’ve been messaging on Instagram. It’s the wildest thing.”
Amber was speaking to Capital’s Rob Howard and Lauren Layfield (in for Roman Kemp) on Capital Breakfast. Tune into Capital Breakfast, week days from 6am – 10am, across the UK.

Shayne Ward ‘gutted’ to miss X Factor: All Stars

OHMYGOSSIP — Shayne Ward is “gutted” he can’t take part in ‘The X Factor: All Stars’.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ star – who shot to fame when he won the second series of the singing competition in 2005 – was asked to return to the show for the upcoming special featuring past contestants but already had other commitments so had to decline.
He told Closer magazine: “I can’t do ‘All Stars’ because I’m contracted for something else.
“It’s gutting because I loved that show – I’m so proud of it.”
However, the ‘That’s My Goal’ hitmaker will be tuning in to watch.
He added: “I’ll be there as a fan and I can’t wait to see [the others] who take part. It’s going to be fun to watch.”
Shayne was mentored to victory on ‘The X Factor’ by Louis Walsh but they have lost contact over the years and he’d like to see him and show boss Simon Cowell again.
He said: “I’ve not spoken to or seen Louis in many years.
“It’s the same for Simon, although I did see him earlier this year at the Pride of Britain Awards.
“I love Simon – they were both my bosses for many years so it would be nice to see them again.”
Meanwhile, the 34-year-old star – who has daughter Willow, two, with fiancée Sophie Austin – has been working hard with his partner to stay in shape.
He said “Sophie and I train together. I champion her like she champions me.
“She looks absolutely incredible – I think she’s down two dress sizes.
“I never thought I’d be able to say I enjoy training, but I do. I’ve now got a shape I’ve never had before.
“I feel camera-ready for future projects and for my little girl – who you’ve got to have a lot of energy for.”

Jessica Chastain’s spy thriller 355 gets 2021 release date

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Chastain’s spy thriller ‘355’ is set for release on January 15, 2021.
The upcoming female-led ensemble movie – starring Lupita Nyong’o, Penélope Cruz, Fan Bingbing and Diane Kruger – went into production in June, a year after it first started to be together, and bosses are hoping it’ll be finished and ready to hit cinema screens in just under two years’ time, according to Screen Rant.
The plot will follow top agents from agencies around the globe, who are forced to co-operate with each other when a new threat emerges involving a weapon that could throw the world into total chaos.
The new agency’s numerical name is inspired by the codename of the one of the earliest spies in the American Revolution, a woman whose identity remains unknown to this day.
Chastain, 42, recently teased that although the film is a female-led cast, the forthcoming spy thriller will have some Bond boys for women to lust over.
She said: “Oh yeah. We’ve got some eye candy. I’m going to allow the female audience to sit there and go, ‘Wow, isn’t he beautiful!’ ”
The ‘Dark Phoenix’ star went on to explain that although she doesn’t want to objectify the men in her movie, she wants female viewers to accept that they have a “female gaze” and are able to view themselves as “sexual creatures”.
She said: “It’s kind of incredible to let women know we have a female gaze and we are also sexual creatures.”
Chastain is producing the film through her Freckle Films banner alongside Kelly Carmichael and Simon Kinberg, who are using a script from Theresa Rebeck.
Filming will take place in London and Morocco.

Todd Phillips says there’s Joker sequel potential

OHMYGOSSIP — Todd Phillips thinks there’s potential for a ‘Joker’ sequel.
The psychological thriller isn’t set for release until later this year, but the 48-year-old director is convinced there could be a follow-up if Joaquin Phoenix – who plays the mentally ill stand-up comedian in the film – agrees to star in another movie.
Speaking to Total Film, Phillips said: “One thing I will tell you: I would do anything with [Phoenix], any day of the week. There’s nobody like him. If he was willing to do it, and if people show up to this movie, and Warners came to us and said, ‘You know what? If you guys could think of something…’
“Well, I have a feeling that he and I could think of something pretty cool.”
However, the likelihood of a sequel will depend on how successful the original will be when it hits cinema screens at the beginning of October.
And Phoenix recently said he fears that the upcoming movie based on the origin of the DC Comics villain may not live up to fans expectations as he and Phillips chose to stray from the original material and focus on the “story of becoming Joker”.
The 44-year-old actor said: “We didn’t follow anything from the comic books, which people are gonna be mad about. We just wrote our own version of where a guy like Joker might come from.
“That’s what was interesting to me. We’re not even doing Joker, but the story of becoming Joker. It’s about this man. ”
The ‘Gladiator’ actor added that he thought the project sounded “super ambitious” when he first discussed it with Phillips.
He explained: “I thought it was crazy-ambitious. Todd said to me ‘I have this idea, I wanna tell the origin story of the Joker. I said ‘Wow okay'”.

Jada Pinkett Smith wanted Will to take Matrix role

OHMYGOSSIP — Jada Pinkett Smith wanted her husband Will Smith to take the ‘Matrix’ role.
The 50-year-old actor was approached to play Neo in the 1999 sci-fi film but he famously turned it down, much to the disapproval of his wife as she tried to encourage him to go for it because she knew in her gut it would be “revolutionary.”
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, she said: “I knew it would be revolutionary. I was like, ‘Will, you’ve got to do this movie!’ He didn’t fully get it, but I did.”
Smith recently said he turned down the part because he wasn’t happy with the pitch by the film’s writers, Lana and Lilly Wachowski, but he still regrets the decision to this day after he saw Keanu Reeves play protagonist Neo in the film.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, he said: “All right this is one of them stories I’m not proud of but it’s the truth. I did turn down Neo in ‘The Matrix’.
“They came in and it was like they’d only down one movie, I think it was called ‘Bound’. And they came in and they made a pitch for ‘The Matrix’. As it turns out they’re geniuses. But there’s a fine line between genius and what I experienced in the meeting.”
Mimicking the writers at the meeting, the ‘Suicide Squad’ star said: “So, dude, we’re thinking like, imagine you’re in a fight and then you, like, jump. Imagine if you could stop jumping in the middle of the jump. But then, people could see around you.”
Looking unimpressed, Will admitted: “So I made ‘Wild Wild West’.”
The ‘Men In Black’ star has nothing but praise for Keanu’s performance in the 1999 film and the sequels as well as Laurence Fishburne, who portrayed Morpheus.
He said: “I’m not proud of it, but … Keanu [Reeves] was perfect. Laurence Fishburne was perfect.”
Although Will missed his chance to play Neo, he joked that due to changes in casting if he had been in the film, he probably did fans a “favour”.
He quipped: “If I had done it – because I’m black – then Morpheus wouldn’t have been black because they were looking at Val Kilmer.
“I was going to be Neo and Val Kilmer was going to be Morpheus, I probably would’ve messed ‘The Matrix’ up, I would’ve ruined it. So I did y’all a favour.”

Jason Gardiner confirms he won’t be returning to Dancing On Ice next year

OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Gardiner has quit ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The 47-year-old judge has been part of the ITV show since it started in 2006, but he has confirmed this week he won’t be returning for the next series in 2020.
In an Instagram video posted on Wednesday (21.08.19), he said: “I know there has been a lot of speculation about me and the upcoming series of ‘Dancing On Ice’.
“After all these years I feel it’s time to say goodbye to my judging role and return to things I have been putting on hold for a while.”
Jason has starred in every series apart from one – when he was replaced by Louis Spence in 2012 – and he has seen the panel change over the years.
He added: “The past two series there have been new additions to the panel including the fantastic Ashley Banjo and the legends [Jayne] Torvill and [Christopher] Dean. I have absolutely loved sharing the panel with them.”
The long-running judge revealed that his time on the show has been full of laughter and good times, but it’s also has its fair share of “trials and tribulations”.
Jason said: “Holly, Phil, Jayne and Chris, we created something we can be really proud of after the ice has finally thawed. We’ve had a lot of laughs, trials and tribulations and I have loved working with all of you.”
The acid-tongued star has had his share of disagreements over the years, including head coach Karen Barber, 58, although he did pay tribute to her in his social media video – but there was no mention of contestant Gemma Collins after their spats earlier this year.
He continued: “To the unsung heroes, the pros and coaches, including Karen Barber, without your hard work we would never have had the success we’ve had. I salute and applaud you.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gorka Marquez won’t be partnered with a celebrity on this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 28-year-old Spanish dancer has revealed he will only be taking part in the group dances this year – but vowed to be “fighting” for the Glitter Ball trophy in 2020.
He wrote on Instagram: “For everybody that’s been asking, I can let you know that this series, I sadly won’t be partnered with a celebrity for the main series of Strictly. However, I will still be heavily involved in all of the group numbers and all things Strictly!
I’m excited to see this year’s celebs and my fellow professionals dance for the Glitter Ball and I hope to be back fighting for it next year.
As always, it’s gonna be a GREAT series. (sic)”
When as fan suggested it was because he wanted to spend more time with his baby daughter, Mia Louise, who was born on July 4, and his partner Gemma Atkinson, Gorka insisted the decision was made by bosses on the BBC One ballroom and Latin show.
The follower commented: “Nooo why?? You are brilliant?? I hope it’s your choice so you can spend more time with baby and mum x (sic)”
And Gorka replied: “not really, LOL
But I will (sic)”
Gorka’s announcement comes shortly after fellow dancer Graziano Di Prima revealed he will also be without a celebrity partner.
He said in a statement: “Just letting all the fans know that I will not have a celeb partner this series, but don’t worry… I am not going anywhere!
“You will see me every Saturday/Sunday nights in all our amazing group dances, on It Takes Two and across the series. We have some amazing routines already and I can’t wait for you to see them all!
“To my fellow pro’s, good luck for a magical series! Let’s do this and I love you all! Graz. (sic)”

Priyanka Chopra joins We Can Be Heroes

OHMYGOSSIP — Priyanka Chopra has signed up to star in a new superhero movie.
The 37-year-old actress has joined the cast of Netflix children’s film ‘We Can Be Heroes’, which is to be written, directed and produced by Robert Rodriguez.
According to Deadline, the motion picture is currently in production in Texas, and will also feature Christian Slater, YaYa Gosselin, Akira Akbar and Pedro Pascal.
The movie will tell the story of the children of Earth’s superheroes after their mums and dads are captured by alien invaders, and the film is expected to be in a similar vein to Rodriguez’s ‘Spy Kids’ franchise.
Chopra – who married Nick Jonas last December – should have more time for movie roles after she waved goodbye to her ‘Quantico’ alter-ego Alex Parrish.
The 36-year-old actress admitted the job had been “psychically” and “emotionally” testing, but paid tribute to the FBI agent she had portrayed since the US programme hit screens in 2015, after the finale aired on ABC in the US last August.
She wrote on Instagram: “As the series ends, I am saying goodbye to Alex Parrish. As you’ll see, her story will come full circle…and that is the best feeling as an actor. Bringing Alex to life has challenged me physically and emotionally, but even more significant it has (I hope) cracked the door open for female talent and women of color to play leading ladies. Thank you for opening your homes and hearts to me every week! Thank you to the cast and crew of #Quantico for being such an amazing team to work with, for all the memories that I will cherish…memories of laughter, of learning new things, of making friends for life. It was a pleasure working with each and every one of you, and I look forward to crossing paths again! Thank you @joshsafran @abcnetwork @mseitzman @disney and everyone who worked on the show [sic]”

Joaquin Phoenix was hesitant about starring as Joker

OHMYGOSSIP — Joaquin Phoenix was hesitant about taking on the role of Joker.
The 44-year-old actor plays the mentally ill stand-up comedian in the upcoming origin ‘Joker’ film and he has admitted, in hindsight, he was probably filled with a “motivating fear” to play the part just right.
He told Total Film magazine: “It took me a while [to commit]. Now, when I look back, I don’t understand why… There was a lot of fear, yeah.
“But I always say there’s motivating fear and debilitating fear.
“There’s the fear where you cannot make a f***ing step, and there’s the kind where it’s like, ‘OK, what do we do? That’s not good enough.’
“And you’re digging deeper and deeper. I love that kind of fear. It guides us, makes us work harder.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Signs’ star recently said he fears that the upcoming movie based on the DC Comics villain may not live up to fans expectations as he and director Todd Phillips chose to stray from the original material and focus on the “story of becoming Joker”.

Simon Cowell wants Britain’s Got Talent ‘Champions League’-style show

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell wants to create a ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ “Champions League” involving winners of the worldwide versions of the show.
The music mogul already has three new shows, ‘Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions’, ‘Celebrity X Factor’ and ‘X Factor: All Stars’ kicking off this year, but is keen to add another programme in the shape of a ‘BGT’ spin-off which would see each country’s winner competing against one another in one programme.
He said: “I started thinking about maybe making it like the ‘Olympics of Got Talent’, but that would only be every four years.
“So now I am thinking we could do a ‘Got Talent Champions League’.
“So all the ‘Got Talent’ shows from around the world send that year’s winner to compete against all the other winners. I think it would be brilliant because you’d be rooting for your country.”
Simon’s idea appears to be similar to the football Champions League, whereby the winners of the major Leagues across Europe take part in an annual tournament to decide who is the best domestic side in the continent.
The ‘Got Talent’ format appears in more than 70 countries, and the 59-year-old star is still planning to air two ‘BGTs’ a year in the UK unless the ratings take a serious nosedive.
He added to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “Of course I’d do it again. The idea that you wouldn’t seems crazy – unless nobody watches it.”
‘Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions’ will debut on screen on August 31.
Classical singer Paul Potts – who won the first ever series in 2007 – will go up against the likes of dancer George Sampson, double act Stavros Flatley, Collabro, magician Richard Jones, dancers Twist and Pulse, comedian Lost Voice Guy, and reigning champion Colin Thackery.

He wrote: “She said yes
@daisy_wood_davis is going to be my wife. I’ll take that. (sic)
Daisy also took to social media to express her happiness at being engaged, and admitted she cannot wait to marry her “best friend”.
She wrote: “On Thursday evening @lukejerdy asked me to marry him by the beach in front of my family. I’ve never felt a happiness like this. It’s so surreal but nothing has ever felt more natural. I can’t wait to marry my best friend and celebrate how lucky we are to have found what we have. (sic)”
What’s more, she praised Luke – who plays Jesse Donovan on the Channel 4 soap – for designing the engagement ring “of [her] dreams”.
She added: “Not to mention, he designed me the engagement ring of my DREAMS. I have spent the last few days staring lovingly at him and the ring in equal measure (maybe more the ring) Let the celebrations commence! (sic)”
Daisy previously played Kim Butterfield on ‘Hollyoaks’ from 2014 until her departure in 2018, and last year she admitted she wasn’t a big fan of sharing scenes with her significant other.
She said: “We’ve only had one or two scenes together, I get nervous. I don’t like it.
“I’m not used to behaving myself around him or being serious. He was at my [character’s] wedding to Esther.”

Seann Walsh jokes he’s going to ‘hell’ following Katya and Neil Jones split

OHMYGOSSIP — Seann Walsh has joked he is going to “hell” following Katya and Neil Jones’ split.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ pro dancers confirmed on Sunday (18.08.19) they had gone their separate ways after six years of marriage, 10 months after Katya and 33-year-old comedian Seann – who were paired up on the Latin and ballroom series last year – were caught smooching in the street.
Just hours after the pair’s split announcement, Seann referenced their break up during a show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival’s Pleasance Dome.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he told the crowd: “I am aware they announced they are splitting up. I have no reaction.”
He then joked: “I will see you in hell.”
The ‘Bad Move’ actor also made a joke about being in bed with Katya after the photos of their infamous kiss were released.
He quipped: “On the Friday I am in the hotel so the paps can’t find me – secret location, very showbiz.
“I get into bed and ask Katya to pass me the remote.”
He added: “The year I’ve had? I can make that joke.”
Katya took to Instagram on Sunday to share a joint statement from her and Neil confirming their marriage is over.
She wrote: “Hi everyone. As our fans and loyal supporters you are really important to us and so we wanted to let you know some news. After 11 years we have made the mutual decision to separate.
“We will always love each other, just in a different way as friends. This will never change what a great team we make and we are really proud of everything we have achieved together.
“Our shared love of dance means we will keep working and dancing together as well as exploring individual projects. No matter what we do we will always support and respect each other.
“We wish one another every happiness and we will remain the best of friends. We are really looking forward to getting back to the ballroom and can’t wait to keep on dancing. Lots of love from us both xx (sic)”
Following their smooch, she and Seann publicly apologised.
Katya said: “I can’t apologise enough to everyone who it hurt and involved.
“But, the main thing, me and Neil are absolutely fine and that’s what matters to me the most right now and focusing on my job and doing it as professionally I can.”
And Neil later revealed he had forgiven his wife.
He said: “It was a shock. It was a major shock. I appreciated it of course that Katya told me so I found out from Katya before it appeared.
“Straight away for me I was more worried about Katya because I could see what was going to happen. It was a natural reaction.
“But that’s what’s wrong at the moment. We have been together for 10 years.
“I just needed to speak to Katya, I just needed to be with her at that moment and understand what was going on.”

Adam Thomas to present Extra Camp

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Thomas is set to present ‘I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp’.
The 31-year-old former ‘Emmerdale’ actor – who finished third on ‘I’m A Celebrity three years ago – will join Emily Atack, 29, and Joel Dommett, 33, to host the show after Joel’s former co-presenters Scarlett Moffatt and Joe Swash left.
A source told The Sun Online: “Adam showed how brilliant he was on camera during his time on the show and has plenty of TV experience from his years as an actor.
“He also knows the jungle inside out – and is sure to have great banter with Joel and Emily.
“Adam couldn’t believe his luck as he found out and can’t wait to start.”
Joe, 37, announced his departure from ‘Extra Camp’ after a decade to spend more time with his family after he and Stacey Solomon welcomed their first child together, Rex, in May.
The father-of-two – who also has 12-year-old son Harry with his ex-fiancee Emma Sophocleous – wrote on Instagram: “I can’t believe I’m about to say this … For 10 incredible years I’ve been lucky enough to host my favourite show on telly. I don’t want to miss a second with Stacey and our amazing boys so 3 months in Australia just seems too [much] to bare this year (sic).”
And ‘Gogglebox’ star Scarlett, 29 – who joined the spin-off show in 2017, after being crowned Queen of the Jungle the year before – revealed she is working on a mystery project with her family.
Meanwhile, John Barrowman recently revealed he would love to host ‘Extra Camp’.
Asked about the possibility of the job, he said: “I’d love to do it – absolutely! I had a ball in the jungle! And I’ve said that I would go back at the drop of a hat if they did an all-star version.
“I really enjoyed my time in there – yes, if ITV wanted me to host the after show, I’d be more than happy to do it!”
And after it was revealed that Emily was set to star on the show, along with returning host Joel, John insisted they would be the perfect presenting trio.
He said: “With us three, I could be the maturity and they could be the fun. We’d have a nice balance and I think that could work.”

I will be sad for now, but I promise to tell stories of great joy about our times together. You forever hold a special place in my heart. Love you Onion (sic)”
