OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Visage insists she doesn’t have an unfair advantage on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, despite being professionally trained.
The ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ star has signed up to the new series of the latin and ballroom show and despite having some ballet and jazz training and a pop career, she insists she is the same as everyone else.
She said: “When I was seven I did the obligatory ballet and jazz dancing and I did that for quite some years. And then that’s where it ended. Then I did choreography and a girl group but I’ve never done a ballroom thing in my life.”
And the 50-year-old singer and television personality has insisted the famous ‘Strictly’ curse is “so silly” as her husband David Case is the “love of her life”.
She added: “That’s so silly. My husband of 22 years is the love of my life. It’s laughable is what it is. Let’s be real.”
Michelle hopes her appearance on the show will inspire other women of her age to go out there and do what they want.
She told The Post’s Ross King: “I’ve watched from afar and I can’t wait to be as amazing as I can be. And I’m a woman that’s 50 years old. I want to be out there representing the women of a certain age who people say can’t do it any more. Well, actually we can – we can do it great.
“This is one show that I’ve loved for years. Keeping it quiet has really not been easy. And the only people I could tell was my husband and my inner circle. I couldn’t share the excitement – but now I can. I can’t wait to be the colour of a hardwood floor. I’m very excited.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss are reprising their roles for a fourth ‘Matrix’ film.
Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures have confirmed the pair – who play hackers Neo and Trinity respectively – will be back on screens for another instalment of the blockbuster sci-fi series.
The franchise’s co-creator, Lana Wachowski – who created the universe with her sister Lilly Wachowski – is set to write, direct and produce the film.
She said in a statement: “Many of the ideas Lilly and I explored 20 years ago about our reality are even more relevant now.
“I’m very happy to have these characters back in my life and grateful for another chance to work with my brilliant friends.”
Warner Bros. Pictures Group chairman, Toby Emmerich, added: “Lana is a true visionary – a singular and original creative filmmaker – and we are thrilled that she is writing, directing and producing this new chapter.”
The Matrix Trilogy kicked off in 1999, with two sequels, ‘The Matrix Reloaded’ and ‘The Matrix Revolutions’, both out in 2003.
It’s not currently known if Laurence Fishburne will be back as Morpheus, although it has been suggested that they may audition for an actor to play a younger version of the Captain of the Nebuchadnezzar.
Lead star Keanu had previously claimed he was unaware if a fourth movie would happen.
He said: “Remaking ‘The Matrix’. I don’t know. Maybe it’s … I don’t know anything about it.”
The movies follow a group of humans trapped in a virtual reality and the franchise has netted more than $1.6 billion worldwide since it began two decades ago.
According to Variety, the fourth movie could begin production as soon as early 2020.
Meanwhile, Keanu is also set to reprise his role of Ted in the upcoming reboot, ‘Bill & Ted Face The Music’, alongside Alex Winter (Bill).
And the Hollywood legend is also expected to return in the titular role for a follow-up to the recently released ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’, which is expected in 2021.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Spider-Man’ will be leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Sony Pictures – who licences the famous character to Marvel – has reportedly hit a stalemate with the studio over the financing and profit-sharing of the future ‘Spider-Man’ movies, leading to the exit of Marvel boss Kevin Feige from the franchise.
In a statement, Sony’s spokesperson said: “Much of today’s news about’ Spider-Man’845, has mischaracterised recent discussions about Kevin Feige’s involvement in the franchise. We are disappointed, but respect Disney’s decision not to have him continue as a lead producer of our next live action Spider-Man film. We hope this might change in the future, but understand that the many new responsibilities that Disney has given him – including all their newly added Marvel properties – do not allow time for him to work on IP they do not own. Kevin is terrific and we are grateful for his help and guidance and appreciate the path he has helped put us on, which we will continue.”
There has been several months of negotiations between the Disney-owned Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures to change the original deal, which saw Marvel collect five per cent of the profits of ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ and ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’. Going forward, Marvel seemed sure they could find a deal as the character – which is currently played by Tom Holland – was billed to be “the Next Tony Stark” in the Marvel franchise.
The stalemate between Sony Pictures and Disney reportedly came when the latter asked for financing and profits to be split 50 / 50, which would mean Disney and Marvel would have a huge increase in profits, with the previous film grossing a whopping $1.1 billion worldwide.

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexandra Mardell discovered she had a hole in her heart after her father died.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress – who plays Emma Brooker on the soap – and her siblings were advised to undergo genetic testing after their dad Michael was found to have been suffering from undiagnosed cardiomyopathy before he died from a heart attack in 2016.
Although Alexandra didn’t have the hereditary condition – which hinders how the heart pumps blood around the body – doctors told her they had discovered a gap between two of the organ’s chambers, so she needs to “keep an eye on” any symptoms she develops, which can include swollen legs, difficulty breathing, a rapid heartbeat and fatigue.
She told the Daily Mirror online: “It’s not related to the cardiomyopathy whatsoever – it’s a total coincidence but obviously an issue I need to keep an eye on.
“I’ve been told that everyone is born with it and it’s meant to close up within the first year. In some cases, like mine, it doesn’t and that can cause problems.
“I sometimes get palpitations. I have always had issues with my breathing when exercising, but I always thought that was just my general lack of fitness.”
Alexandra feels lucky that it hasn’t caused her any “major problems so far” but she will have check-ups every five years to ensure her condition doesn’t change, as if it does, she may need surgery.
She said: “If there are issues in the future it’s something they are able to close up.
“It only came to light when I was being tested for cardiomyopathy – if it hadn’t been for that test I would never have known.”
In ‘Corrie’, Alexandra’s alter ego is grieving the death of her father and the actress was able to reflect on how she felt following her own dad’s passing to help with her performance.
She said: “It was a coincidence, but because I planned a lot of my dad’s funeral myself, with the support of family and friends, I was able to grieve properly, so thankfully the storyline hasn’t negatively affected me.
“My experience has helped with my performance, because it’s meant I’ve been able to relate to the storyline – I know exactly how Emma is feeling.”

The former One Direction star has teamed up with ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’ hard man Ant Middleton for a new one off special for Sky1 which will see them go off grid into the wilderness of the Namib desert with just their backpacks and a car.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “Ant is highly trained in interrogation and strategic questioning so he really gets Liam to open up.
“Liam is one of the most famous pop stars in the country, but it’s not often viewers get to hear his inner thoughts. He also turns the tables on Ant, getting him to talk.”
‘Ant Middleton & Liam Payne: Straight Talking’ will follow the unlikely duo as they abandon home comforts in south-western Africa, and it will give music fans a greater insight into Liam’s life and thoughts.
The programme was filmed earlier this year and is set to be broadcast in November, with the duo camping under the stars before heading off on their exotic adventures.
Liam and Ant will be seen taking on tasks like canyon swinging in the Spitzkoppe mountains, and surfing on top of a high speed train.
Meanwhile, the former Special Forces soldier recently admitted he would love to take on a fresh challenge by putting kids through their paces in a kids version of his popular surviva shows.
He said: “I’d absolutely do a kids version of SAS. We’ve been talking about it.

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffatt and her family’s house will be transported to a remote African village for a new series.
‘The British Tribe Next Door’ will see the ‘Gogglebox’ stars take part in a unique culture clash and learning experience as an exact replica of their semi-detached home appears in Namibia while they live alongside the nomadic Himba tribe for a month.
Sarlett said: “This is one of the most eye-opening experiences of my life.
“I feel privileged and humbled that the Himba tribe invited us to join them and we have all learnt an enormous amount.”
Rather than ditching their lavish and comfortable life for the Channel 4 show – which will air in four hour-long episodes later this year – the Moffats will still enjoy everyday luxuries like electricity, running water, iPhones, ready meals and television.
Chief Tijone of the Himba tribe added: “I was born in our village and I’ve never travelled far so I don’t know the Western life.
“Of course, there are benefits and there are disadvantages. When the visitors come, they can explain everything to us, and we will learn from each other’s cultures.”
And it’s said the programme will see the two worlds collide as “perfect foils” as the different ways of life come together for the “first time”.
Alf Lawrie – Channel 4’s head of factual entertainment – said: “For the first time in human history, British suburbia and Himba tribal life will coexist side-by-side.
“This series contrasts two worlds on a spectacular scale – but at its heart, is about the extraordinary relationships it creates.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’ has revealed its full cast for the first series.
The 10 drag queens have been handpicked by Mama Ru herself, with an eclectic group set to showcase what the UK scene has to offer.
RuPaul said: “Each of the UK queens is so unique, so courageous and so special. I can’t wait for the UK – and the world – to fall in love with them the same way I did.”
The competing queens will include Baga Chipz, Divina De Campo, Cheryl Hole, Crystal, Blue Hydrangea, Gothy Kendoll, Scaredy Kat, Sum Ting Wong, The Vivienne, Vinegar Strokes.
Meanwhile, all 10 stars are set to make their first official appearance as part of Manchester Pride on August 24.
Last month, it was confirmed Cheryl and Dame Twiggy have joined the BBC Three show as guest judges, with the pop star heaping praise on the “inspiring” programme.
She said at the time: “I am a huge fan of ‘Drag Race’. I have always admired the work and dedication that goes into drag and have learned over the years that it is an art form.
“It is not only fun and glamorous but equally as skillful and admirable, I find it incredibly inspiring. I just love the makeup, creativity and the drama. I am honoured to be a guest judge!”
British icon Twiggy – whose real name is Lesley Lawson – loves the “creativity” of the show and feels she’ll have “brilliant fun”.
She said: “You see the most gorgeous women in the most glamorous outfits. I love the creativity of the clothes and the makeup. I have been to a few drag shows and they’re brilliant fun.”
The pair join previously announced judges, Spice Girl Geri Horner, Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall ‘Game of Thrones’ star Maisie Williams, ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ actor Andrew Garfield and ‘Chewing Gum’ star Michaela Coel.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kris Marshall is “used to” getting his bottom out on screen.
The ‘Sanditon’ star – who plays Tom Parker in the BBC’s upcoming adaptation of Jane Austen’s final unfinished novel – has admitted he isn’t bothered by the idea of stripping off on camera, although he joked he has to do some workouts before heading to the set.
Appearing on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, he quipped: “It’s all historically accurate, it’s not been strong armed in there or anything like that. I am not playing the hunk, everyone relax.
“I am the hunk’s older brother, that’s why they cast me. But I do get my bum out. It’s not the first time I’ve done that, I’m quite used to it.
“But it’s the first time I’ve done it when I’ve been 15 years older than everyone else, so there are a few reps that needed to be done before I went to work, a bit of tensing. A bit of sucking in – but it’s all good.”
Although the 46-year-old actor was open about the male nudity in the upcoming show, he also discussed the period drama’s costumes and how clothing can be a “great way” of settling into character.
He added: “It’s a bit of a joke really when i say it, but I say that I never really know a character until I put his shoes on. It’s never more true than in period costumes.
“I mean it’s very tight, I had to jump from the roof of my trailer to get into my trousers every morning. But it holds everything in, it’s all good! Our costumes are absolutely wonderful, it’s a great way of pulling yourself into character.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Charley Webb is struggling with her “weird” hair.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actress gave birth to her and husband Matthew Wolfenden’s third child last month and she’s found it impossible since then to get her locks looking clean and healthy.
She asked on her Instagram Story: “Anyone else’s hair gone weird after having a bambino?
“Every time I was it it’s greasy. Driving me mad.”
The 31-year-old star urged her followers to send her tips on how to “help” her tresses.
She continued: “Anything I can use to help it?”
And Charley – who also has sons Buster, nine, and Bowie, three, with her co-star and spouse – bemoaned her misfortune that she’d actually managed to find the time to wash her hair, only for it not to make any difference.
She posted: “When you’ve actually got time to wash your hair with 3 kids and then it looks like s**t. Worst.”
Charley and Matthew have yet to reveal the name or gender of their third child, and simply referred to the tot as “Baby Wolf 3” when they announced the new addition to their family three weeks ago.
Charley wrote on Twitter: “BaByWoLf#3 has joined the crazy gang. We’re in a bubble of newborn’ness heaven (sic)”
The actress – who portrays Debbie Dingle – recently admitted she will try to breastfeed her newborn, but insisted mums shouldn’t “put pressure” on themselves to do so if “it doesn’t work for you”.
She took to Instagram to share a picture of a quote which read “I make milk. What’s your superpower?”, and she wrote: “I saw this quote today. It’s true. Very true. The flip side to this is, not everyone can breastfeed for a million different reasons.
I couldn’t breastfeed Buster at all, it just didn’t happen for us. Bowie it lasted much longer. That’s ok. I must get asked a hundred times a day, ‘Are you going to breastfeed?’ The answer is, I don’t know. I’m going to try and I really hope it works but if it doesn’t then that’s just the way it is. I ask Mums the question myself, I’m guilty of it. But I do always say, ‘Are you going to try and breastfeed’. There’s a difference in the two phrases for me. But ultimately I guess what I’m trying to say is, don’t put that pressure on yourself if it doesn’t work for you. It doesn’t mean you’ve failed, it just means it’s not right for you and your baby. That’s fine. Always do what makes you happy and your new tiny human. It’s all that’s important. The 20 people a day that ask you aren’t (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Maureen Lipman felt like she was “coming home” when she joined ‘Coronation Street’.
The 73-year-old actress – who plays Tyrone Dobbs’ (Alan Halsall) battleaxe grandmother Evelyn Plummer on the ITV soap – is having a great time being back in the public eye and feels very comfortable on set as she spent so much time there several decades ago thanks to her late husband, Jack Rosenthal.
She said: “It’s nice to be back on TV and int he public eye.
“I enjoy filming. I like company and I like working with a cast of all ages.
“And the ‘Street’ is a bit like coming home. My late husband wrote over 100 episodes in the 60s and 70s.
“He had to prise Pat Phoenix out of her dressing room when she was too nervous to film Elsie Tanner’s second wedding.
“All of that is part of my own heritage.”
Maureen – who also appeared in ‘Corrie’ as landlady Lilian Spencer in 2002 – may not have watched the soap for years, but she still jumped at the chance to be a part of it.
She added in an interview with Inside Soap magazine: “When they asked if I was interested in playing Evelyn I said, ‘Of course I am.’
“I hadn’t watched ‘Corrie’ since the old king died but it’s always been quite matriarchal – you need difficult women at the heart of it.”
The showbiz veteran thinks it’s hilarious that she’s been nominated for Best Newcomer, as well as Funniest Female, at the upcoming Inside Soap awards.
She said: “I think it’s hugely amusing.
“After 51 years in acting, I’m still a newcomer.
“But then, every job you do, you’re a newcomer in a sense.
“I’m very flattered – although as I’m not on social media, I don’t expect to win. Though if I did win, I’d make a bloody funny speech.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Lovato has joined the cast of Netflix’s ‘Eurovision’.
The ‘Tell Me You Love Me’ hitmaker will play Icelandic singer Katiana in Will Ferrell’s comedy – which is based on the real-life annual singing contest – alongside the likes of Rachel McAdams and Pierce Brosnan.
In a video announcement posted on Twitter on Demi’s 27th birthday (20.08.19), Will said: “Hi everyone, Will Ferrell here on the set of my new movie ‘Eurovision’.
“We are having a great time, we just started filming, and we want to make a very special announcement about a brand new cast member.
“It just so happens to be her birthday today and I made her this wonderful cake from scratch. Happy Birthday, yay!”
The movie is Demi’s first live-action role since 2010’s ‘Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam’.
Will and Rachel play Icelandic musicians Lars Erickssong and Sigrit Ericksdottir respectively.
Whilst former James Bond Pierce portrays Will’s on-screen father Erick Erickssong.
It was recently confirmed that ‘Beauty and the Beast’ actor Dan Stevens will play Russian contestant Alexander Lemtov.
‘Anchorman’ star Will is producing the project through his Gary Sanchez Productions company, and he is penning the script with Andrew Steele, while David Dobkin is helming the project.
Filming will be taking place in Iceland and Tel-Aviv, Israel, although no release date has been set by the streaming service.

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Bonneville has teased the possibility of more ‘Downton Abbey’ movies.
The 55-year-old actor – who reprises his role as Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham – has admitted that if the upcoming big screen version of the hit ITV drama proves to be a hit with fans, it could be “the start of a franchise”.
According to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column, Hugh said: “I would like to think we haven’t seen the last of the Crawleys and the people who live at Downton Abbey, because they have become friends to so many millions of people around the world.
“So fingers crossed this film will work. I hope so, and let’s see the start of a franchise.”
The movie’s executive producer, Gareth Neame, is also on board for more films should fans rush to see the first.
He added: “We would like to do another one but that means all the fans have to come and see it.”
Gareth recently revealed Dame Maggie Smith was the final ‘Downton Abbey’ star to sign up for the movie.
The 84-year-old actress – who portrays Violet Crawley, the Dowager Countess of Grantham – waited until she was “completely sure everyone was going to do it” before committing to the project.
He said: “I suspect in a lot of ways, Maggie missed working with the other actors.
“When she was completely sure everyone was going to do it and it was happening, then she was on board.”
And Hugh admitted there were “some hurdles” in getting everyone on board for the movie, but he is delighted the TV series cast reunited for the film.
He added: “The biggest testament to the film is that everyone turned up to play.
“We had some hurdles getting everyone in the same place at the same time, but there was a will to do it.”
Other stars who will reprise their roles for the big screen version include Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary Crawley), Laura Carmichael (Lady Edith Crawley), Elizabeth McGovern (Cora Crawley, Countess of Grantham), Allen Leech (Tom Branson), Joanne Froggatt (Anna Bates), Brendan Coyle (Mr. Bates) and Matthew Goode (Henry Talbot).
But one star who won’t be returning to the movie is Sue Johnston as the actress – who portrayed Gladys Denker in the TV series – revealed her character was dropped from the film.
She said: “Denker was the first in the script and then the script disappeared. Imagine how I felt!”
The ‘Downton Abbey’ movie hits cinemas on September 13.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kristy Wright has been left “heartbroken and shattered” by Ben Unwin’s death.
The former ‘Home and Away’ actress – who portrayed Chloe Richards between 1995 and 1999 – has paid tribute to her late friend and co-star following his tragic passing at the age of 41.
Kristy spoke of her regret at not being in touch with Ben – who played her character’s boyfriend Jesse McGregor – “in a few years” and is devastated at the thought she’ll never see him again.
Alongside a gallery of old photos of them together, she wrote on Instagram: “I’m completely lost for words.. heartbroken and shattered….
“You were one of the most talented people I know, one of the kindest, smartest and funniest. You were a rock star. I am hearing your laugh now as I write this.
“We haven’t spoken in a few years and I can not express in this moment how sorry I am for that…
“I can’t believe you’re not looking at the same sky as me right now. I miss you now that I know I will never see you again..

Kristy recalled how she had a “crazy schoolgirl crush” on Ben from the moment they met and was delighted when they were thrown together on the Australian soap.
She wrote: “In 1992 I met you for the first time and immediately fell into a crazy school girl crush. Watching you sing Tom Jones ‘If I only knew’ in your tight white pants is one of my favorite memories of you and just the first of so many.
“We were kids with the same dream and pretty quickly we became friends.. my crush disappeared but my love for you was just beginning.
“Years later we both found ourselves working on that little show @homeandaway and our friendship grew deeper.
“You harassed the writers to create a love story between our characters and when it finally happened we laughed our way through it and were just so happy to have the chance to work so closely with each other.
“I sit here, with tears, as I look through old photos of us on our magical journey into adulthood. I feel privileged to have known you the way I did. I saw into your beautiful soul and you saw me.. we were both big on maintaining eye contact.. you always made me feel beautiful and you made me laugh.. every day and anywhere I was with you.(sic)”
Ben’s body was found at his home in Minyon Falls in New South Wales, on August 14, but his death is “not being treated as suspicious”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh says her grandson Teddy “feels like her own” child.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress – whose 21-year-old daughter Emilie gave birth to her first son in May this year – has confessed that she feels “exactly the same” about her new grandchild than she did about her own children, Emilie, Polly, seven, and 23-year-old David.
Kym wrote in her exclusive OK! Magazine column: “I couldn’t wait to see Teddy when I got back to Manchester. Emile sent me pictures of him while we were away; he’s turning into a right chubber!
“He’s teething at the moment bless him. I’m surprised how much I missed him while I’ve been away.
“Perhaps it’s because he lives with me but I feel like I’ve had my own child – the love is exactly the same. It’s an amazing feeling. ”
Emilie and her partner Mikey Hoszowskyj gave Teddy the middle name Archie in honour of Kym and her ex-husband Jamie Lomas’ baby son, who tragically died minutes after he was born 18 weeks premature in 2009.
And the 43-year-old actress – who had Emilie and David with ex-boyfriend Dave Cunliffe – was overwhelmed with emotion when they told her about the touching tribute.
Kym – who has Polly with Jamie – : “I didn’t think they would, and nor should they have felt they had to.
“As far as I knew, he was going to be called Teddy David and I was chuffed with the name David being in there.
“When I found out his name, I burst into floods of tears.”
And the former pop star admitted the touching tribute “means the world” to her.
She added: “But now Archie lives on in Teddy’s name. Having a baby boy in the house with Archie’s name as part of his means the world to me.”
Emilie added: “Teddy’s birth certificate means a lot to Mum too as Archie never had one, nor did he have a death certificate, so there are no official records of his existence.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Todd Phillips thinks there’s potential for a ‘Joker’ sequel.
The psychological thriller isn’t set for release until later this year, but the 48-year-old director is convinced there could be a follow-up if Joaquin Phoenix – who plays the mentally ill stand-up comedian in the film – agrees to star in another movie.
Speaking to Total Film, Phillips said: “One thing I will tell you: I would do anything with [Phoenix], any day of the week. There’s nobody like him. If he was willing to do it, and if people show up to this movie, and Warners came to us and said, ‘You know what? If you guys could think of something…’
“Well, I have a feeling that he and I could think of something pretty cool.”
However, the likelihood of a sequel will depend on how successful the original will be when it hits cinema screens at the beginning of October.
And Phoenix recently said he fears that the upcoming movie based on the origin of the DC Comics villain may not live up to fans expectations as he and Phillips chose to stray from the original material and focus on the “story of becoming Joker”.
The 44-year-old actor said: “We didn’t follow anything from the comic books, which people are gonna be mad about. We just wrote our own version of where a guy like Joker might come from.
“That’s what was interesting to me. We’re not even doing Joker, but the story of becoming Joker. It’s about this man. ”
The ‘Gladiator’ actor added that he thought the project sounded “super ambitious” when he first discussed it with Phillips.
He explained: “I thought it was crazy-ambitious. Todd said to me ‘I have this idea, I wanna tell the origin story of the Joker. I said ‘Wow okay'”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jada Pinkett Smith wanted her husband Will Smith to take the ‘Matrix’ role.
The 50-year-old actor was approached to play Neo in the 1999 sci-fi film but he famously turned it down, much to the disapproval of his wife as she tried to encourage him to go for it because she knew in her gut it would be “revolutionary.”
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, she said: “I knew it would be revolutionary. I was like, ‘Will, you’ve got to do this movie!’ He didn’t fully get it, but I did.”
Smith recently said he turned down the part because he wasn’t happy with the pitch by the film’s writers, Lana and Lilly Wachowski, but he still regrets the decision to this day after he saw Keanu Reeves play protagonist Neo in the film.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, he said: “All right this is one of them stories I’m not proud of but it’s the truth. I did turn down Neo in ‘The Matrix’.
“They came in and it was like they’d only down one movie, I think it was called ‘Bound’. And they came in and they made a pitch for ‘The Matrix’. As it turns out they’re geniuses. But there’s a fine line between genius and what I experienced in the meeting.”
Mimicking the writers at the meeting, the ‘Suicide Squad’ star said: “So, dude, we’re thinking like, imagine you’re in a fight and then you, like, jump. Imagine if you could stop jumping in the middle of the jump. But then, people could see around you.”
Looking unimpressed, Will admitted: “So I made ‘Wild Wild West’.”
The ‘Men In Black’ star has nothing but praise for Keanu’s performance in the 1999 film and the sequels as well as Laurence Fishburne, who portrayed Morpheus.
He said: “I’m not proud of it, but … Keanu [Reeves] was perfect. Laurence Fishburne was perfect.”
Although Will missed his chance to play Neo, he joked that due to changes in casting if he had been in the film, he probably did fans a “favour”.
He quipped: “If I had done it – because I’m black – then Morpheus wouldn’t have been black because they were looking at Val Kilmer.
“I was going to be Neo and Val Kilmer was going to be Morpheus, I probably would’ve messed ‘The Matrix’ up, I would’ve ruined it. So I did y’all a favour.”
