OHMYGOSSIP — Brad Pitt knows whether his ‘Once Upon A Time In America’ character Cliff Booth killed his wife.
In the movie, there is speculation that Cliff murdered his spouse Billie, played by Rebecca Gayheart but it is never confirmed and Brad revealed he has no plans to tell people what really happened.
The movie shows the couple drinking heavily on a boat out at sea, with Cliff pointing a harpoon gun at his wife but it does not give a definitive answer and Brad told The Los Angeles Times: “That, I will never tell.”
Brad, 55, added that he would prefer for the audience to make up their own minds about his character, explaining: “So why spoil that?”
Meanwhile, director Quentin Tarantino recently revealed that Cliff was a Green Beret, explaining that the stuntman’s training is what helped him to beat legendary fighter Bruce Lee in a physical confrontation in the movie.
He said: “The reality of the situation is this: Cliff is a Green Beret. He has killed many men in World War II in hand-to-hand combat. What Bruce Lee is talking about in the whole thing is that he admires warriors. He admires combat, and boxing is a closer approximation of combat as a sport. Cliff is not part of the sport that is like combat, he is a warrior. He is a combat person.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Brody will executive produce and star in ‘The Kid Detective’.
The ‘Ready or Not’ actor will join Sophie Nelisse in the comedy drama from writer-director Evan Morgan, with production set to start in late September, Variety reports.
Adam, 39, will star as a former child detective, who takes on his first adult case at the age of 31 when a 16-year-old client (Nelisse) employs him to find out who murdered her boyfriend.
William Woods and Jonathan Bronfman will produce, with Adam, Jeff Sackman, Berry Meyerowitz, Mark Gingras, John Laing, and Gareth Morgan executive producing.
Meanwhile, Adam recently revealed that the director is one of the main factors he considers when he signs on for new movie roles.
He told America’s GQ: “First and foremost [that] the writer-director is the person that is at the helm of the world [they’re creating and] I find their storytelling IQ high. Ideally it’s like every choice in the movie would be interesting to me. I want to be in somebody’s head and imagination who I think is really talented. I mean, that’s a tall-order because who am I?
“Of course there are other considerations, like where does it shoot, how much does it pay and how much time does it take? I’m a practical man, and I’ve been afforded this great job and I’m so lucky to have it, and having a family has really brought that home even more.”
Adam also admitted he believes he has limitations as an actor but believes that can be a good thing as he is also versatile.
He said: “I’m limited, and I think I could be good in certain things, and I definitely have my limitations as an actor. That’s not a demand, that’s a hope.
“I think I do a lot of things well, and maybe nothing great. But together, it’s a nice cocktail. In any specific direction I could point to people who are more talented. But as a package, I think I’m versatile. I like to be in an interesting storyteller’s world. Hopefully the role is something that at once I can bring something new to it. I love a challenge, but I also like the idea of knowing I can sink my teeth into something too. I like to stretch, but I don’t need to jump into something so blind every time. I don’t want to repeat myself, but I don’t have to reinvent myself either. I’m not worrying about being typecast. I get bored enough and want to try new things that I don’t worry about accidentally being typecast.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gerard Butler has praised Morgan Freeman’s stunt skills.
The 82-year-old actor performed many of his own stunts for new movie ‘Angel Has Fallen’ and Gerard, 49, was impressed with the older actor’s tenacity.
He told Variety: “I was running that guy all over the place – upstairs, downstairs, throwing him in a room, behind cars, in cars, in a pool. I have to dive, grab him, pull him under and hold him under the water for a while. And I have to tell you, he was amazing and he loved it. At the end, he’s like, ‘I have to say, I’ve made many movies, but I had a really good time. I really enjoyed myself.'”
However, Morgan admitted he was not a fan of the underwater stunts.
He said: “I don’t swim. I took to the stunt like a person who doesn’t do water.”
Meanwhile, Gerard previously admitted he was worried he could kill Morgan during their stunt scenes in the third instalment of the movie franchise that sees him play Secret Service agent Mike Banning, with Morgan as President Allan Trumbull.
He said: “I don’t think, in Morgan’s whole career, he’s ever done as much action. I mean, we have him diving off boats, swimming in pools and running with bullets flying after him.
“Yet he seemed to absolutely love it and was up to any challenge. He’s 82 and there were times I thought, ‘He’s running faster than I am’. It was three or four solid days of action.
“He dives off a boat and then I have to push him underwater, and we run in and out of cars. I was going, ‘Please, don’t kill Morgan!'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Hollywood says this year’s ‘Great British Bake Off’ contestants are more emotional.
The 53-year-old judge admitted he has upset the hopefuls – which is the youngest ever batch of wannabe bakers to appear on the Channel 4 show – and made them “cry” more than any other series.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: “There were times when there was a bit of a disaster on one of the technicals. I walked in and saw it and sort of had a go at them, which caused a little bit of emotion.
“Yes I made them cry. They’re more pack animals now. Upset one and they all get upset.”
This year’s lineup has an average age of just 31, with the youngest contestant 20 years old.
Host Sandi Toksvig admitted the tears on set weren’t great, and the team felt bad for the youngsters.
She added: “Yeah, it wasn’t good. You know how when you’re at school and other pupils are in trouble, but even though it wasn’t you, you still feel s**t inside? We felt like that. We were like, ‘Oh God.’ ”
Paul – who put the younger lineup down to viewers growing up watching the show in their teens – admitted the age of the contestants means his approach to his own role has changed.
He explained: “When they’re younger, they need to start somewhere and sometimes they don’t listen.
“A couple of them didn’t listen and I went over and taught the point again and again and again and again, and they still didn’t get it.
“The ones that did start to listen, to both Prue [Leith] and I… got better. There’s a couple of them that didn’t, that just fell away, because you need to listen.
“We always give constructive criticism. We want them to get better, we want them to enjoy it … because the ones that learn get better…”

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Bonneville insists Dame Maggie Smith has all the best lines in the ‘Downton Abbey’ movie.
The 55-year-old actor reprises his role as Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham, in the big screen adaptation of the television period drama and he has revealed that 84-year-old screen legend Maggie – who is back as Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham – steals nearly all of the scenes she is in.
Hugh has nothing but respect for Maggie for signing up for Julian Fellowes’ project because she had been unwell ahead of shooting starting.
Speaking about Maggie’s talents, he said: “If she hasn’t [got the best lines], she makes them the best lines. She is a formidable actress. When you’re in a room with her you think, ‘This woman is in her eighties, is she OK?’ Before we started filming, she’d been poorly. There is absolute steel in her.”
Although ‘Downton Abbey’ made the jump from television to film, Hugh insists that everything felt the same on the project even down to the modest snacks the cast enjoyed at the first read-through at Shepperton Studios in Surrey, England.
In an interview with the new issue of Saga magazine, he spilled: “Just because it’s a movie, nothing much changes. It was a bigger table, but with the same McVitie’s biscuits and a bowl of fruit.
“I can remember vividly the first read-through and I naughtily took a picture of these people I didn’t know. Here we all were eight years later. As we looked around the room there were grins of ‘can you believe we’re here again’!”
Other cast members who have reprised their roles for the big screen version include Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary Crawley), Laura Carmichael (Lady Edith Crawley), Elizabeth McGovern (Cora Crawley, Countess of Grantham), Allen Leech (Tom Branson), Joanne Froggatt (Anna Bates), Brendan Coyle (Mr. Bates) and Matthew Goode (Henry Talbot).
And Hugh has reiterated his desire for there to be more ‘Downton Abbey’ movies now that everyone has enjoyed the filmmaking experience so much.
He said: “When we started filming, I thought this is going to be a nice full stop. But there is such an appetite for it, I can see it carrying on. I’d never say never!”
The ‘Downton Abbey’ movie hits cinemas on September 13.

OHMYGOSSIP — Annabelle Wallis has joined the cast of James Wan’s new horror movie.
The 34-year-old actress, according to Variety, has signed up to star in the secretive film which is being made from a story by Wan and Ingrid Bisu, the Malaysian-Australian director’s fiancée who starred in ‘The Nun’.
Wallis has horror credentials as she previously starred in the 2014 Conjuring Universe movie ‘Annabelle’ and Universal’s 2017 reboot of ‘The Mummy’.
Wan intends to shoot his latest horror romp this autumn before starting work on the sequel to DC Comics film ‘Aquaman’.
Although the plot of the New Line horror is a closely-guarded secret, the 42-year-old filmmaker has teased it will be a “hard-R thriller” and a return to his “indie roots” with “old school, practical effects and no giant, blue screen sets”.
Writing on his official Facebook page, he said: “There’s been a bit of speculation as to what my next project is… all I’ll say is, I’m super excited to go back to my indie roots with this hard-R thriller.
“An original horror idea (not a reboot/remake or anything based on existing IP) with old school, practical effects and no giant, blue screen sets. That’s all I’ll say for now. (sic)”
Wan is responsible for creating the Conjuring Universe back in 2013 with the first film in the franchise and he also co-created the ‘Saw’ and ‘Insidious’ franchises.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Saunders is to join ‘There’s Something About Movies’ as a team captain.
The ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ star will go up against fellow team captain Michael Sheen on the Sky series, which puts celebrities’ film knowledge to the test, and Tom Allen will be a regular member of her team.
Jennifer said: “Having been a guest on the show last series I feel sure that I am the perfect person to go up against Michael Sheen as a team captain in ‘There’s Something About Movies’.
“With my huge knowledge of films and laser sharp brain I’m up for any challenge they can throw at me and my team of famous faces. Bring it on.”
Michael added: “I am of course a huge fan of Jennifer and we had such a great time with her as a guest on the first season.
“Absolutely thrilled that she will now be my rival team captain. Really looking forward to it.”
Guests on the second series will include Rafe Spall, Lily Collins, Rupert Everett, Jason Isaacs and Miranda Richardson, and Alan Carr will host.
He added: “Beyond thrilled to have Jennifer Saunders joining the ‘There’s Something About Movies’ team.
“Not only is she comedy royalty but her iconic ‘French and Saunders’ film parodies make her the perfect team captain when it comes to the movies and taking the mick out of them.”
Phil Edgar-Jones, director of Sky Arts and Sky’s head of entertainment, admitting signing Jennifer is a real coup for the show.
He said: “Jennifer Saunders is an actual national treasure. Her film spoofs are about as funny as it’s possible to get.
“Having her as a team captain on ‘There’s Something About Movies’ is like all our Oscars have come at once.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Nadia Sawalha’s sister Julia has blasted her sibling for “destroying” their family with “lies”.
The ‘Loose Women’ panellist opened up about her relationship with the ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ actress this week, but Julia has now hit back on social media and accused the star of spreading “rubbish” on TV.
She tweeted: “So tired of #nadiasawalha talking about our ‘stormy’ relationship which she created.
“I’ve kept my privacy for 6 years to protect my family, whilst she talks lies & rubbish. You have destroyed our family so don’t sit on TV with your fake tears to gain sympathy & attention. (sic)”
She added that it’s “very difficult” for people to judge when they just get “one side” of the story.
Julia, 50, wrote: “Yes well it’s very difficult when you only see the story from one side. I’m not actually fighting, she is, but paints a very different picture publicly and I’ve had enough. (sic)”
Nadia, 54, opened up about her past as ‘Loose Women’ marked 20 years on air, and while she heaped praise on Julia she insisted they’ve “always had a really volatile relationship”.
Speaking on the show this week, she said: “She is totally amazing. She’s really amazing my younger sister but we’ve always had a really volatile relationship.
“So we’ve always had periods of time in our life where we don’t speak. I always say I have the best time or the worst time of my life with her. It’s the same with both my sisters.
“My dad always says ‘formidable women’. That’s all he wanted. He came to this country with £50 in his pocket because he wanted six daughters who were free.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ozzy Osbourne will feature on the ‘Peaky Blinders’ soundtrack.
The Black Sabbath legend’s iconic brand of hard rock will be heard during the fifth series of the BBC’s popular gangster series – which starts on Sunday (25.08.19) – and director Anthony Byrne is shocked it’s taken this long for the Prince of Darkness to be included.
He’s quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: “We are using their tracks ‘The Wizard’ and ‘War Pigs’. We built a library of music that we auditioned against different scenes. “Black Sabbath just felt like a no-brainer. I was going: ‘Why’ve they not been used before?’ ”
‘The Wizard’ featured on Sabbath’s 1970 self titled debut album while ‘War Pigs’ appeared on their follow-up LP ‘Paranoid’, which was released later the same year.
The show is based in Birmingham – Ozzy’s hometown – and Tommy Selby actor Cillian Murphy has praised the soundtrack for its identifiable style.
He said: “You just know when a song is ‘Peaky’. The artists are outsiders. They have resisted the tyranny of the mainstream.”
Meanwhile, artist Anna Calvi has revealed her own thoughts as she penned a score for the highly anticipated next season of the drama.
She told NME: “I was interested in giving Tommy’s unconscious mind a feminine voice. It makes it more frightening somehow.”
Steven Knight’s hit crime drama series is moving over from BBC Two to BBC One for season five and will follow the 1929 Wall Street Crash.
Tommy Shelby MP is back and will be joined by “charismatic politician” Oswald Mosley played by Sam Claflin.
The official plot synopsis reads: “Series five of Steven Knight’s crime family saga finds the world thrown into turmoil by the financial crash of 1929. Opportunity and misfortune are everywhere.
“When Tommy Shelby MP (Cillian Murphy) is approached by a charismatic politician with a bold vision for Britain, he realises that his response will affect not just his family’s future but that of the entire nation.”
Steven previously teased his plans for the show to continue for another three series.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Cold Feet’ star Robert Bathurst has branded the ‘Dad’s Army’ movie “creatively bankrupt” because it wasn’t written by the sitcom’s creators David Croft and Jimmy Perry.
The 62-year-old actor has taken on the role of Sergeant Wilson – originally played by John Le Mesurier in the beloved BBC comedy series which ran from 1968 to 1977 – in the three recreations of lost ‘Dad’s Army’ episodes for TV channel Gold.
Whereas he believes these three remakes have value because they are completing the set of stories penned by the show’s creators Croft and Perry, Robert insists the 2016 film – which starred Catherine Zeta-Jones and Toby Jones amongst a stellar cast – flopped because it was pastiche.
In an interview on the Series Linked podcast, Robert said: “There’s been previous outings not written by Croft and Perry. I thought they were sort of creatively bankrupt.”
Robert admits he “wrestled” with the idea of playing Sergeant Wilson because the remakes are “fraught with danger” and may not be well-received by fans of the World War II sitcom which starred Arthur Lowe as Captain George Mainwaring in charge of the Home Guard.
However, he ultimately decided to accept the role because the producers were going to stay completely faithful to Croft and Perry’s original scripts and by making the trio of episodes it meant that the series would finally be complete following the loss of ‘The Loneliness of the Long-Distance Walker’, ‘A Stripe for Frazer’ and ‘Under Fire’ from the BBC archive.
Robert – who is most famous for portraying David Marsden in ITV drama ‘Cold Feet’ – said: “It’s fraught with potential dangers because, I mean, who wants to see other people do ‘Dad’s Army’, apart from Arnold Ridley, and Arthur Lowe, and John Le Mesurier, and everybody like that? I wrestled with it, until I realised that it was all about the lost episodes. Those three have never been discovered, and here we are now having remade those and so ‘Dad’s Army’ fans can see all 80 shows, all 80 scripts, but not all with the same people, sadly.”
The ‘Dad’s Army’ remakes boast a cast made up of a host of major names with Kevin McNally portraying Captain Mainwaring, Bernard Cribbins as Private Godfrey, Kevin Eldon as Lance Corporal Jones, Mathew Horne as Private Walker, David Hayman as Private Frazer and Tom Rosenthal as Pike and they will air from Sunday August 25 on Gold.

OHMYGOSSIP — Paterson Joseph would love to play ‘Doctor Who’.
The former ‘Peep Show’ star admitted while at one time he would have felt intimidated by taking on the iconic title role in the long running BBC sci-fi show – which is currently being portrayed by Jodie Whittaker – he’s now in a position where he doesn’t think it would eclipse his career.
He told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “I think there’s room in me now to do it – I was slightly reluctant then in that I wasn’t well-known and it would have been all I’d ever be known for.
“But I feel like I could do it, having seen Peter Capaldi kill it – my son is 16 and he’s his favourite Doctor. I always thought of Doctor Who as being an older guy – Jon Pertwee was mine – older than me now and somehow slightly dangerous.
“You need him to get through these situations because of everything he’s seen and experienced, but you can never quite trust him or ever really know what he’s thinking.”
The 55-year-old actor – who was the bookmakers’ favourite to play the Time Lord before Matt Smith landed the role in 2009 – also opened up about the issues of race in the TV industry, and he explained how there are now more opportunities for performers “from an ethnic minority”.
He said: “There’s a desire now to have multi-ethnic casts in many, many things, even in costume drama, which I’m very, very pleased about.
“My hope, my conviction is that in the 31 years that I’ve seen the profession changing and shifting and being conscientious and then forgetting itself, this feels like a period of momentum that cannot be stopped.
“I really think that it’s a better time to be an actor from an ethnic minority than we have been in for many a decade.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Fielding admits his fans have become “more well-behaved” since he stopped partying with Pete Doherty.
The ‘Great British Bake Off’ star – who joined the show alongside co-host Sandi Toksvig two years ago – has swapped wild nights out for a more relaxed life with his partner Lliana Bird and their 16-month-old daughter Dali, and he’s noticed a change in the way the public approach him.
He told the Radio Times: “Before it would have been a picture of me in a gutter with Pete Doherty. I had a different kind of fame then.
“It was more boy band fame, which was crazy. Lots of screaming teenagers for a little while. Someone got into my flat and stole my shoes. Now they’re more well-behaved.”
Noel, 46, added that he’s “mellowed out” over the years – particularly since becoming a father for the first time.
He said: “I’ve mellowed out. The last time me and my girlfriend went out – we don’t go out much now because of the baby – the press wrote, ‘They’re getting some well-deserved rest.’ ”
Meanwhile, Noel – who has been with Lliana for eight years – previously revealed is was his friend and Kasabian rocker Serge Pizzorno who persuaded him to take the ‘Bake Off’ presenting role in 2017.
He said: “One of my friends, Serge from Kasabian, said, ‘Oh, you should get on this. It’s great. I love it’. I watched it back to back and really enjoyed it.
“I just thought, this is such a nice vibe and I really loved it. I didn’t bake or anything, I was just a big fan. When they asked me to do it, I was really staggered.
“I just thought, this is too big an opportunity [to pass up]. Also, I really wanted to work with [co-presenter] Sandi Toksvig because I think Sandi was already in. I thought we’d be good together comedically.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Amber Gill says Amy Hart wished her luck for ‘Loose Women’.
The ‘Love Island’ champion – who won the ITV2 dating show this summer alongside Greg O’Shea – has played down reports of a rift with her former villa co-star after it was claimed Amber stole Amy’s spot on the daytime TV favourite.
Speaking to Heart.co.uk, she said: “No, Amy actually texted us just before I was on wishing us all the luck. There’s definitely not a feud there, definitely not.”
The 22-year-old beauty therapist has impressed viewers and bosses alike recently after appearing on the programme as a guest panellist, and she “would love to” take on the role full time.
She added: “You know what? I felt more comfortable on there than what I thought I would as a panellist, so I would love to.
“I had such a good time and I like being able to say my opinion and have my point of view and have different points of view. So, yeah, it was loads of fun.”
Appearing on the show last week, Amber confirmed she and Greg are “exclusively dating” after taking home the £50,000 prize – which they will share between them – but the reality TV pair are still taking things slowly because they have only known each other for a few weeks.
She said: “We’re exclusively dating, we’re not official yet, ‘Love Island’ is such a weird situation, we’ve only known each other a month.”
Last month, Amy, 27, also made her debut on the ‘Loose Women’ panel, and admitted she had been watching the show for 15 years.
She gushed at the time: “I’m so excited, I’ve been a fan of ‘Loose Women’ since I was 12. It’s my birthday tomorrow so this is the best present ever. I can’t wait to see the see the ladies next Wednesday.”

The ‘Love Island’ 2017 star called time on her relationship with the ‘X Factor’ 2017 winner – who she’s been dating since last September – after she reportedly caught him red handed sending saucy messages to other girls on Instagram.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre Column: “Gabby ­suspected Myles had been messaging a girl a while ago, but he told her that one of his mates had used his Instagram account. Then when they were meant to be having space apart, Gabby caught him red-handed. She immediately ended the relationship.”
The alleged infidelity comes almost a year since she found out her then-boyfriend Marcel Somerville – who she met on ‘Love Island’ – had sex with another woman behind her back while they were on holiday together.
The insider explained: “She is shocked that it happened, especially after everything she went through with Marcel. She has made her decision and doesn’t want to be with someone she can’t trust.”
Gabby and Myles hadn’t been together that long before she moved him into her flat in North London but things had been going from strength to strength and she even admitted recently that she could see herself settling down and marrying him.
She said at the time: “He’s amazing. We’ve only been together a year, but it moved pretty fast and we live together in Islington. He basically came to my house and never left. We can hear wedding bells. We talk about long-term stuff all the time.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Catherine Tyldesley has suffered an intimate injury just days into her ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ training after getting Deep Heat on her private parts.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ star joked she was feeling “fresh” after accidentally rubbing the pain relief and heat therapy product into her “special places”.
She wrote on Twitter: “Note to self… do NOT accidentally get Deep Heat in your ‘special places’… #fresh (sic)”
But one of Catherine’s ‘Strictly’ co-stars, ‘EastEnders’ actress Emma Barton (Honey Mitchell) saw the funny side of the former cobbles favourite’s eye-watering injury.
She tweeted: “You make me laugh so much!! (sic)”
The 35-year-old star’s intimate injury didn’t appear to put her off dancing though as she has been up bright and early ready to practice some moves.
She wrote: “I can’t believe I’m going to say this… it’s 5.20am… and all I can think about is dancing!!!!! God I’ve got the bug! Big time!!!!! (sic)”
Catherine was confirmed for the BBC Latin and ballroom show earlier this month, and admitted she always used to swerve dance classes during her younger years.
She said: “I’m thrilled to be a part of this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. I’m a huge fan of the show. It’ll be my biggest challenge to date as I’m not much of a dancer, but I’ve always wanted to learn the skill and the time feels right! OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Holland’s ‘Uncharted’ movie is looking for another director.
The movie’s helmer Dan Trachtenberg is said to have departed the project, but Holland is still set to star in the motion picture – a big screen adaptation of the highly-successful PlayStation game of the same name – and production is expected to begin early next year.
Sources told Deadline that the search for a new filmmaker is underway and meetings are happening.
Sony Pictures are hoping to have a replacement in place by the end of the summer.
‘Uncharted’ – which will be the first feature production of Sony PlayStation Productions – will tell the story of treasure hunter Nathan Drake from his younger years.
This comes just days after it was reported ‘Spider-Man’ will be leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Sony Pictures – who licences the famous character, currently played by Holland, to Marvel – reportedly hit a stalemate with the studio over the financing and profit-sharing of the future movies featuring the character, leading to the exit of Marvel boss Kevin Feige from the franchise.
In a statement, Sony’s spokesperson said: “Much of today’s news about’ Spider-Man’, has mischaracterised recent discussions about Kevin Feige’s involvement in the franchise.
“We are disappointed, but respect Disney’s decision not to have him continue as a lead producer of our next live action Spider-Man film.
“We hope this might change in the future, but understand that the many new responsibilities that Disney has given him – including all their newly added Marvel properties – do not allow time for him to work on IP they do not own. Kevin is terrific and we are grateful for his help and guidance and appreciate the path he has helped put us on, which we will continue.”
